I wouldn't say this is a radical take but rather a childish and short sighted one. It's a take of someone who pretends not to see what is right in front of them in order to make a fake point with misleading language that sounds like it's impactful but when you analyze it, there's nothing of substance beneath.

All the games are political, but DA4 takes a sharp turn towards the personal. - Explain how is DA4 'personal' and how DA1-3 are not, and what do you even define as 'personal' here in juxtaposition to 'political'. Why does 'personal' and 'political' need to be on the opposite sides of a spectrum, instead of coexisting together? And explain why would one be better than the other.

How poignant and realistic. /s 'Shift in focus' sounds like such corpo language tbh, it's kind of funny coming from someone who loves Veilguard. This is why people see Veilguard enjoyers as childish and the game as shallow. Dragon Age games used to be role playing video games. A role playing game isn't a game where you are not given a choice to choose your character's morality, actions and views and it isn't a game that makes value judgements without letting you as a player experience the possibility of making different kinds of moral choices. And what IS a morally good choice is not clear cut in real life, something that a real adult should already know. 'Being a bigot is just bad', are you 12? Is this supposed to be a cartoon where we teach kids being mean is bad, or is it supposed to be a video game with heavy topics aimed at adults? A role playing video game is NOT didactic. It assumes it is being played by an adult and adults do not need nor want didactic stories. If you are not an adult, go play games for children instead. Dragon Age wasn't supposed to be your Disney fairy tale where the good guys are pure and saccharine, and the bad guys are cartoonishly evil without actually ever having to deal with the true horror of evil. Real life has shades of grey everywhere. This realism is what made Dragon Age stories poignant until DA4. The fairy tale we received DID make DA4 into a lesser game because childish fairy tales are a downgrade from realism. Childish fairy tales are material meant to be enjoyed by small children, not adults. Instead of moral ambiguity for its own sake, the game leans into the idea that choices still matter, but some choices—like choosing to be cruel—aren’t morally neutral. - If the game doesn't let you make choices that aren't morally good, what choices does it let you make that still matter? What can possibly matter more than the moral path you take when faced with a world ending event? Where are these choices that matter? There are no significant choices that matter because DA4 was not just turned into something childish, but it is also no longer a role playing game. It completely lost the foundations of what made Dragon Age into the franchise that many people loved and now you question those people why they hate the game that has nothing in common with the games that made them love Dragon Age. Go and enjoy your game if you want. I don't care. But every Veilguard hater is completely justified in hating it and it is pretty obvious why. Anyone who pretends that we have no reason for it are burying their heads in the sand.

The betrothal would’ve been called off? Ned would’ve lost his spot at worst? Big loss, the North would have minded it’s own business as usual….and Sansa’s southern dreams would have shattered. In that moment Sansa chose her dreams and fantasies over her sister and remain blind to the kind of a monster Joffrey was.

Moreover, being focused and worried about herself and her desires is not necessarily a flaw, Sansa’s just more human. She’s got five heroes to compete against, which is why she may appear more flawed than Arya. But honestly it’s all subjective. Arya’s character is simply rich and has a hell lot more depth, that’s all.

Mostly Ned’s favouritism BRO NED CHOSE TO GIVE UP THE HONOUR HE VALUED hell he chose a traitor’s death for her and, goddammit there’s not one moment where he favoured one over the other. Do not talk about the damned flowers scene in Sansa I, Ned would’ve grinned and thanked Sansa for the same bleeding flowers. Sansa was just pissed that Ned didn’t reprimand his child for behaving like a typical 9 year old child. Which, nobility or no, is quite common in that society. Hell, we have textual evidence of Catelyn playing with LF and Lysa making mud pies at 12. It’s almost as if Sansa can’t stand anything short of Sansa 2.0 from her sister.

Anyways, thanks agentrouka for reminding me how brilliant of a writer George Martin is. The man picked stereotypical heroes and gave their stories not-so-stereotypical twists as their arcs progressed. In regards to the popular “marvels next queer character poll”

There’s so many people saying that the Laura fans are toxic. But like I don’t see Laura fans being toxic? Just like enthusiastic but like so are the task master fans? The op has also now been blocking these so called “toxic” fans? (Which of course is going to skew future polls but whatever it’s just a stupid tumblr poll) Which maybe there are some in the ask box but like idk I haven’t seen any because they weren’t shown. And yeah there’s been a few “who even is this guy” tags but like Idk that’s not really toxic to me? Like I’ve seen some like real actual toxic shit on tumblr and that doesn’t really seem toxic to me but also the taskmaster fans are doing equally toxic shit in the tags and reblogs, like I just think there’s a weird bias here to the point where I don’t know if I want to participate in the poll anymore idk. Also I haven’t seen at least in a while propaganda for Laura while posting propaganda for every other character especially taskmaster.

And just a little sidebar, Also it’s hard for me and probably other people to take the task master fans seriously when they say that they are voting for the bit and then get mad when the bit is winning? Like I saw someone in the tags say “why do people think we want him to win for a bit?” And like 3 tags right after it say “vote tasky for the bit!”

Ok gonna share my response to the person who I recently replied to a post of. They responded to me and then blocked me so I am going to share a screenshot of what they wrote before I do because I can't reblog it. I honestly mean no hate. As I have made clear I have a hard time sitting silently as Nathan is put on a pedestal and Haley is criticized (which is what the original post did even if they didn't mean for it to be that way which triggers me more bc it's such a MS thing to get his audience to feel that way against a female). Before I do though, I wanna acknowledge that they they blocked me, which is their call, but it's kind of funny because 1) ppl blocking others for not blindly stanning Nathan Scott is 100% a common theme amongst OTH fans, and it's worth pointing out and 2) a post or two down from the original one the OP made says they want Haley haters to come at them lol. I don't want to come for anyone, but I can see how it seems that way. Probably inadvertently it is, but like I said I really can't stay silent when people criticize Haley and put the blinders on and excuse Nathan's actions.

ALSO I had to search for their original post, which is why I came across the other one they made. I then also saw a post they made right after about how weird it is that I responded to them, considering I never engaged with any of their other posts. This is my side blog girl! Come on now lol. I don't interact with anyone because it's hard to when it's your side blog.

I don’t want to minimize your experience and it’s so uncomfortable to even be talking about real-life experiences in comparison to this show, so I really don’t want to say much further. I am sorry you had to endure that, and anyone who’s been in a similar situation to yours knows how awful and difficult it can be and I wouldn’t wish it on anyone. This conversation is about the show and that’s what I’m going to focus on. I think it is worth saying though that it seems like there’s some projecting onto Nathan from your own experience. We all relate to characters differently and everyone’s entitled to do their own thing. But again this conversation is about Nathan and Haley, and how the fandom overlooks what she had to go through because of him.

Anyway, back to the point, that’s not the experience Nathan had; as he says on the show he knew Carrie was getting attached, and he liked it. Nathan is Carrie’s boss. We females know the power our male bosses hold over us. We have been arguing to legitimize this in the U.S. Why when it's Nathan does none of that seem to matter all of a sudden? Suddenly his being male and a boss is what makes him vulnerable according to Nathan stans. How?? I am not implying that men can’t be abused, or that men who are bosses can’t be abused. But by their nanny? Really? That’s been hitting on him and he’s been engaging with it? That is a reach at best. It's uncomfortable to have this conversation and I think that's why so many don't challenge it. But Nathan is antagonistic. He just also is passive when women hit on him. That doesn’t mean that Carrie didn’t assault him in the shower because she did. But SO much until that moment, Nathan was complicit in BECAUSE he liked it. We saw him like it. That doesn’t go away just because of what Carrie did. Again he knew what Carrie was doing. She was flirting with him and he flirted back. He watched her swim naked with Haley waiting for him in the bedroom, playfully calling him her hero! He told Carrie she looked good at the bar. I don’t know why this is all getting overlooked.

That’s the thing about a lot of Nathan story lines with other women, including Rachel. The show gives him some throwaway scenes where if you just look at those it does seem like he’s not interested—like when he tells Rachel ‘not for a second’ when she asks if she’d have a chance had it not been for Haley being pregnant. But he still entertained her. We as an audience were made to feel like there was something happening there. Back to the Carrie storyline, James did a good job of being confused, but he’s bad at giving nuanced expressions when it comes to his acting a lot of the time. He struggles with it. We should not be wondering if Nathan is confused…that’s not how a faithful loving husband would behave. Especially not when his wife just forgave him in the blink of an eye for being borderline abusive. How about delving into that for a change. Why doesn’t that bother people as much as Haley not firing Carrie sooner? Again, focusing on what Haley could’ve done to prevent Carrie from doing what she did is not OK. There’s an implication here that we can’t critique Nathan but we should be saying that everything Carrie did rested on Haley’s shoulders because she didn’t fire her sooner…. That’s a big no from me. Nathan is the one who led Carrie on. That doesn’t change because of anything else in your post. And I’m gonna call out all of these posts that I see that blame Haley because it doesn’t matter if you’re a Scott Stan. He messed up huge in his marriage in season 5. This is not the time or place to be critiquing Haley. His wife who stood by him and ran their home and took care of their child alone for months. Who had faith in him when the nanny started to act up. Deflecting the blame onto Haley is a copout so that Nathan doesn’t get as much of the blame. If people can’t see how dirty he did his wife here, regardless of how Carrie treated him, then they are essentially saying that Nathan’s suffering matters more than Haley’s. It doesn’t. Especially on a show made by Mark Schwan, who neglected Joy as an actor. I’m not gonna overlook what Haley had to endure like Nathan the character or Mark the showrunner did.

I also personally think people defend Nathan so much in season 5 because it is so hard to stomach all the nonverbal weirdness that goes on between Nathan and Carrie. To accept it is to come to terms with him not being the dreamboat people project him to be. It is also so gross to me that Mark Schwahn would create all this nonverbal weirdness between Carrie and Nathan so that we as an audience feel uncomfortable, question what's happening, and are afraid of what will happen between them but at the same time have the Male character toe the line of cheating but to some he *technically* didn't and that's all that matters.

I know what incident you were referring to. I have already argued from my side about the conflict I and my friend had with two users (the OP has blocked me and my friend already), and I am strictly planning to ignore that, but since I am far calmer now, I guess my validity would be understood better so that I can answer without being in my peak of emotions. Also, to just boost me and tell myself that I wasn't as wrong as I was claimed to be so I can calm out.

Bear with me, I write in paragraphs lol. Sorry, but, it's because I want to sound justifiable.

HIJACKER

Okay, I can understand in what context I was labeled a hijacker. It was an old post of theirs two years ago, and untagged. But, I feel they forgot to consider that the post was still there in Tumblr without being archived or further replies being blocked or whatsoever.

Also, I was using Tumblr on mobile, so I had no idea when the post came. So, it's still valid from my side to have not known when this post came.

I hope you are a Beyblade stan and I bet otherwise you wouldn't have known me being called like that. I am an ardent shipper of Kane and Salima. I was using the search bars to see some of my old posts for them since I have posted a fair amount of content for them via my main blog (this one) and from my side blogs (fics, fan art, GIFs, etc.). But all of a sudden, the said post (where the incident happened) came in. I actually wanted to ignore that, but I got the feeling if they went factually wrong. I wanted to debunk it, but that doesn't mean if I want others to strictly believe it or to ship Salima and Kane.

If they really felt like I hijacked their post at that moment, they could have said that right away. However, they did say the post was old, but not everyone would consider it a hijack, at least most of them I know. It almost felt like they created this term hijack after this shit to ridicule me, irrespective of if they felt that then or not.

Most of the Tumblr users from anime fandoms do contradict opinions via reblogs, but that's not a crime or something. So I don't think it's valid to label me a hijacker for this.

HARASSER

I forever can never understand in what way I harassed them. It's awfully an extreme term. This is laughably gullible in my opinion, which makes opinion contradictions and obvious forms of harassment from various spaces I have [been exposed to/witnessed] look like disasters from hell.

As I said earlier, I felt their opinion was wrong. But, this is not to make anyone feel condescended or inferior. Just an opinion sharing. That is something anyone needn't take close to heart if they feel like being contradicted.

They think that Salima and Kane had their relationship dented down because of what happened in the battle tower incident. But, I just felt that that may not possible because Salima clearly understood Kane was not being himself and went to pursue him, so she might understand that. That's not something anyone may disagree with when that's what actually happened and it is a very valid assumption.

There wasn't a single instance where Salima seemed to have hated Kane or looked low on him or detested him (except when she tried to steal Cyber Drigger but still, they weren't arguing or whatever it is and she soon went by Kane's way). Or there wasn't a f--king moment where Salima seemed to have scolded Kane outside the tower after what all shite happened. She has considered Kane as someone precious to her. He has taught her how to be a beyblader, instead of just worrying about the outcome but just enjoying the battle.

So, I just felt they may be wrong. That's all.

This was all before I failed to consider their blog a roleplay one, and after they said they want to make Salima realistic. They said stuff might be OOC. I understood. Then, what would be my assumption then? Salima denting her relationship with Kane is what they may be referring to OOC because, she naturally wouldn't do that, as I specified for reasons above. Heck, they tagged it OOC Salima after all when reblogged from me for the first time. They have highlighted the OOCness far more than I did. If they know that's the truth, why are they getting offended when someone says it?

It's understandable in their case because she might write OOC stuff whereas I prefer sticking to canon for most of the time.

In what way was is this harassing or making me want them to ship Salima and Kane? What is really condescending here? First of all, I can understand for obvious reasons why some might not ship them. Or, it is not even necessary to ship Salima and Kane even if they are not on severe terms or didn't have their relationship dented.

Explaining a relationship between two people, even if you ship them needn't be taken in a shipping sense always while describing the dynamic in canon. It's up to people to take these reasons to ship them or not. Regardless of shipping them or not, or not being satisfied with their dynamic in canon, we can't deny how they viewed each other in series, even if we hate them as a ship or not.

But, there is no denial from my side that there was a mistake in the time and place of sharing opinions.

I accept it. I am just a young teenager and not as old as them who have been in the Tumblr fandom for nearly ten years. But, the way the user approached me biding a hi with exclamation and the tags sounded like they want me to share further opinions when I read their tags after the first reblog (#what's your opinion on Salima shipping?). How wouldn't I want to share an opinion on it? How does that make them not intend to make me share an opinion? How tough it is to tell "get off my post"? I honestly would appreciate it if they have told me that.

After all, this sounds like they and their friend have created their own deluded reasons or create reasons which I never even said. Actually, that's what they did, like me ranting for Kane and Salima having no fanart or me claiming them becoming canon?! What the f--k is this? Writing them canonically in fics is not equal to becoming canon. Fics aren't even canon.

I and another friend of mine contradicted an opinion from a JJK fandom, against Jennifer Lawrence. The user said right away to get off, and I appreciated it. It's great to tell right away.

This isn't something anybody would be crying or feel extremely offended about. Or this isn't some sort of cyberbullying or a crime. They can be irked for some time, tell me right away instead of dragging and creating an unintentional drama. This isn't a form of harassment.

See anon, I would always prefer being pretty well-versed with the content to an extent before stepping into fandoms (or at least for the characters I focus on), so I am not sure who would or wouldn't have known what happened in the series. I can't read the minds of others. I don't know if they have forgotten the incidents or not. I am saying this because their friend says that the user might have forgotten what has happened had not watched the series for a long time.

I am still ready to be on good terms with them and their friend. I am ready to have an open mind if they want to be friends with me. Unfortunately, I am blocked (not by their friend at least) so I am not sure if that may happen. I honestly don't want anyone to ever feel hurt by me. All of my trusted friends know me well and know how I am. Or, I know myself better.

There wasn't a single sign of me harassing them for shipping Salima with anybody else besides Kane. But that's what they are assuming. Anybody can ship Salima with Kai, Ray, Tyson, Max, Goki, Jim, Mystel, Tala, Garland, etc. I respect it, regardless of what I personally feel about each of Salima's ships. There isn't a single GIF set, fan art, or Fanfiction post for other Salima ships where I have said these. Their post sounded more like an opinionated post.

The user ships Kai and Salima. They both have touched and held each other while trying to get out of the tower, or they are aware of each other's existence for sure, and Kai has been protecting her. Whereas, I even ship Tala and Queen 😂 did they even speak a word to each other? It's not even confirmed if Tala and Queen are aware, at least if Tala is aware of her. So how wouldn't I understand Kai x Salima in this case? Seriously.

After this, I decided to contradict some common opinions with my own posts even if the people whom I contradict see that or not. No more reblogging and sharing opinions except when someone actually encourages it. I am a bit scared of it now.

That post was one of the dumbest thing I've seen in a while. Though I applaud the originality of it. That was definitely a new approach to this fandom's immemorial crusade of downplaying Sansa's importance. I actually think BD will play a role too, but in Sansa's court. I haven't extensively studied or theorized but I have always had the impression that she'll be one of the first who'll back Sansa's claim bc Manderly gets the other Stark. She needs her own Stark so to speak, and the only free one around will be Sansa. But to think that she'll play the MAIN role in defeating Boltons, leading the North after their fall??? Will she rebuild the Winterfell too? Because it means so much to her I'm sure, the seat of the Starks...

Then again how am I supposed to take someone who thinks Dany will have nothing to do with burning of KL seriously? That Chekov's gun will not go off, really? The character who has dragons (and got those dragons by burning her slave alive for revenge) will never use them for their main purpose? I didn't know the op so I looked around their blog to get a sense of where that post is coming from, just to be sure. And oh boy... You know the GRRM interview where the reporter asks what Ice and Fire means and he refers to both the Others and Dany as threats to Westeros, right? Like it's literally right there, it's from his mouth, he says things going on north of the Wall and Dany with her dragons on another continent are much greater and more dangerous threats Westeros ignores. And what did they get from that interview? "OMG I knew it! It's going to be Ice vs Fire, Others vs Dany! I really like your take on it. I think in general we focus so much on the POV characters it’s easy to overlook the secondary ones who help advance the plot in their way. That’s my issue with people who act like Robb’s Will means Jon will inherent Winterfell and Sansa is disinherited (and some think she’s delegitimized?) because, uh, what will the Northerners think about this? They’re going to have opinions, they’ll get dialogue. Anyway, your view incorporates the impact of these characters, so I love that.

Full disclosure: I’ve had that blog blocked for a while, so I only saw that post because it was reblogged onto my dash and when I realized who it was, I just scrolled on by. They’re part of the group that simultaneously says the Dark Dany theory is all about shipping and also make jokes about how Dany should do war crimes as a treat. It annoys me that so many seemingly neutral ASOIAF blogs fill the tags with posts about how awful Sansa fans are because some of us are cool with Dark Dany...even though they also kinda know it’s happening? If you accept Dany burning KL, how are we haters for talking about it? How is it sexist for us to say if you burn a city, murder women and children, you’re going out a villain? How is objecting to burning people alive about shipping? 🤷🏻‍♀️

Is a really good point. I don’t mind if Martin has Jon believe he needs Dany (I just realized if we’re looking for who got what from the books I can make an argument for Jon getting Aemon’s belief in Daenerys “Daenerys is the only hope”— and hell, let’s just toss in boatbang as being stolen from Sam and Gilly while we’re at it), but, there’s just no way the dragons are actually the answer. Even if Dany goes North (I honestly don’t see how there’s time for that), but even if she did, it would be about her losing her armies/dragons and being driven to take drastic action in the South because she’s suffered catastrophic losses, making her desperate.

As for Martin calling the dragons nukes, I saw this take in the tags and had to take a screenshot:

Reblogging this to play Devil's advocate sort of. I've seen a lot of Azula antis in the tag but I don't think that OP is one of them. I feel like they are getting dogpiled and that's kind of not fair. Like not trying to call anyone out or start anything. Kind of the opposite; I feel like OP is getting a bit of hostility here when OP just stated an opinion in a respectful way. Also OP does say, "finally will have an opportunity to learn who she is if not a weapon and a princess, without pressure coming from being the bender and weaponized." Which to me indicates that this person doesn't even dislike Azula. At the very least OP doesn't want her to suffer.

That said I still massively disagree with this take as I think that taking her bending would do more harm than good. I really hate fics and stuff where Azula loses her bending for good. It is so integral to her identity that I think that it would just break her to lose it for good.

Legend Of Korra exemplifies this very well. Tahno was super depressed after losing his bending; it broke him and he couldn't deal with it. I feel like it would be like that for Azula but worse.

Aang's semi-reluctance to do it to Ozai is also saying something. That was a last resort. Bending is so closely intertwined to the bender that it's literally like losing a part of themselves.

I feel like it's cruel/inhumane to take it.

Granted I think there's some more nuance because, yes, Azula is a danger (not just to others) but herself as well by the end of the show. However I feel like chi blocking her for some time would be better than outright taking her bending.

I can, however, get behind Aang taking her bending for a period of time. Basically, "we're taking this from you for now so you don't hurt yourself or other but you will get it back at some point during or after your recovery." I feel like that offers an opportunity for real growth. It would very much help establish trust if Aang upholds his promise to give her bending back.

This can also help her develop a sense of identity and self-worth outside of bending and talents. So basically I agree wtih OP stating, "finally will have an opportunity to learn who she is if not a weapon and a princess, without pressure coming from being the bender and weaponized." I don't think that losing her bending is the only way to achieve this, but I can see OP's like of thinking here and how it could work to a degree.

In other words; if done right, taking her bending could work BUT only if that comes with a promise to eventually give it back to her when she's in a better state of mind.

I think that Azula's bending should have been taken away by Aang by the end of the show, and her title too. Because not only she will not be dangerous anymore as she was (especially for Zuko and his place as Fire Lord, since she can't be Fire Nation ruler anymore), but finally will have an opportunity to learn who she is if not a weapon and a princess, without pressure coming from being the bender and weaponized. Other nations would see this as fair punishment, but for her this is opportunity to start a new life, even if under supervision at first.

All of those screen shots were taken out of context and all the "harassment" is just people talking about that person on their own blogs, after blocking them AND being blocked, and still being stalked and having the finger pointed at them by that person who is calling it harassment, despite circumventing blocks which is totally in their own power not to do. Why keep hate reading people after a two-way block? Then suicide bait and say those blogs made them get that far? Some of us have been around, we know what this looks like, and there's been plenty of evidence I've found of harassment from the callout crew. Most of you just want to be allowed to enjoy the hobby your own way, need to be seen every now and then. so for context to anyone who follows me who DOESN'T know about it The Post is this post that someone made where they took screenshots of me replying to someone in the notes of another post

and i wanna talk about it! partly cause it was super fucking funny that this even happened and i haven't been able to stop thinking about it but also maybe anyone who comes to my blog because they were curious about who i am can check this post out and get proper context to everything

before i keep going i wanna get a few things out of the way real quick in no particular order:

not that i think that anyone following me would do this but don't bother the OP- i know who he is i've reblogged his posts before i have a general vibe of who he is so i know that he wasn't necessarily posting it for the sake of like. anyone harassing me can't speak for whether or not that applies to the other person but i would assume not).

going along with that when i first found out about The Post it had less than 1k but i could tell it was gonna really rack up those notes really really fast and i had to very quickly make peace with the fact that 1. statistically speaking at least one person was gonna see it and not think of me as the Good Guy in the situation/were also gonna consider me just as much of a weird obnoxious idiot or whatever and 2. that as most viral tumblr posts do it was gonna reach out of bounds at some point- all that being said no one so far has went out of their way to bother me and i genuinely appreciate it! peace and love on planet earth. :)

with all that said here's the background behind what happened: late March i was going through someone's blog and came across this post:

(the main reason i wanna show the post that this all happened on is because without any context and just going off of what this person said people assumed that they were being weirdly transphobic which isn't the case! they were actually being weirdly homophobic! but also if that had actually been the case it still would've panned out the same way. i said what i said and i stand by it.)

posts like these are some of my favorite posts on here because 9/10 there're people in the replies/comments just leaving the most absolutely shit takes you ever seen and i've made a habit of going into them to look out for those people and block them which is what i was doing when i saw that person's reply- the truth is that i honestly didn't intend to reply with what i said! what i was gonna reply was actually wayyyyyyyy dumber: because they were being specifically homophobic my dyke ass was gonna spin what they said into an "hey just so you know i fucked your mom lol" comeback. because i'm 5.

obviously that didn't happen; i had spent a weird chunk of time trying to actually construct my reply multiple times and NONE of them were coming out in a way that made sense and sounded actually funny to me. and the more time i spent trying to construct it the more time i had to actually sit with and reread and take in what this person said. and after a certain point i got to a stage that i usually get with people like ter/fs where i say to myself "oh my God what is this person's fucking problem" and just like i always do when i'm at that point with anyone else i decided that before i finally just block them and move on i wanna go on their blog and see what they're about- this usually ends up in me seeing that their posts are just basically the same shit opinions that i just saw; other times it's stuff like hypersexual fanart of anime schoolgirls occasionally broken up with posts talking about how sad and lonely they are (bidoof's law in full effect); but other than a post they made where they used the r slur while talking about them being pissed off over tumblr's pikaman posts that you can never get rid of i honestly wasn't finding anything . . . until i got to this ask that they posted, which i directly quote in my reply to them:

i found this post pretty easily; this person as far as i can tell isn't very active on here so there actually weren't a lot of posts that i had to scroll through to get here- i'd say it was maybe like 5 minutes max. not even. and i bring this up because some people assumed that i was searching up specific keywords to collect evidence or whatever which. to be 100% fair! is something that i do when i'm trying to sus out whether someone that i come across is actively or cryptically homophobic or transmisogynistic or neo-fascist/alt-right. when it comes to anyone else i genuinely don't have anywhere near enough of an interest to actually do this. not to mention that tumblr's search function barely works and i have genuinely no idea if it'll actually bring anything up if you try to search nsfw terms specifically since the whole porn ban happened.

and it mean that's basically it! for anyone reading this who wants to know why i replied to them: they annoyed me and i have the freedom to fire back at them for better or for worse.

for anyone who wants to know why i chose that ask specifically: other than the fact that it was just the first heinous posts of theirs that i saw? adults (which i assume this person is) who are weirdly sexual about minors fictional or not weird me the fuck out and i don't stand by that shit. especially people who brag about it even jokingly. again: i said what i said.

for anyone who wants to know why i worded my reply the way i did: because i thought it would be funny. like come on. i sounded like the world's worst Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney prosecutor. someone tagged that post with "what in the Better Call Saul . . ." and it was so fucking funny. had me cry laughing.

for anyone who wants to know if i'm surprised that someone posted my reply to this person and why: firstly yea i kinda was! secondly much like how you don't realize how much noise you're making in your own home because you forgot that after a certain point people outside can hear you until you like. have the police showing up with a noise complaint. i too in the moment completely forgot that tumblr is, in fact, a completely public website and that people can see what you say even if it's completely by chance. i was so committed to my own stupid little bit that i honestly wasn't even thinking about it. what's done is done tho there's nothing i can do about it at this point.
