a very silly highschool au chatfic. crack with minimal angst here and there to carry some plot along, but it's very low-stakes. really just something i write for fun to wind down. perfect if ur looking for some good ol crack to turn your brain off to!

waiting for godot

a three-part fic exploring mia and diego's story in ace attorney - before, during, and after his coma. it goes into the background of their relationship and dives into godot's mentality after waking up and finding out about what happened to mia. angst with a somewhat bittersweet ending, canon compliant.

THE SCRIPTVERSE

the scriptverse is a trilogy of scripts + a prose prequel which seeks to retell fnaf lore completely. it sticks to canon in some parts but deviates in others, so it will surprise you even if you know the lore inside out! i made my own changes to the timeline, mixed and matched stuff from the movie, books and games... overall, just a big revamp of the whole thing, all told through movie scripts!

the series is made up of:

MR AFTON, a william-focused first part retelling the missing children incident

MR SCHMIDT [act 1], a michael-focused sequel retelling william's trial shortly after

MR SCHMIDT [act 2], a massive third part to the series which deals with the fallout of the murder and the trial, michael meeting jeremy, ghosts showing up in the pizzeria, and michael finding out he has a sister he didn't know about! crazy stuff!

mr emily & ms schmidt, a prose prequel to the series which focuses on how henry, william and his wife clara met

WYNNCRAFT

warm hands, cold hearts, gentle smiles (also holy shit is that bak'al over there?)

a fic which focuses on exploring the dynamics between the four twain brothers as kids + includes an appearance from wynncraft's favorite bitch boy. also, i made theorick less of a bitch by explaining WHY canon theo is such a bitch!

my legacy in death, your legacy in ice, our legacy in blood

a follow-up of sorts to the above fic, focusing on mael having to help nesaak post-theorick freezing it. the second half of the fic looks at the time mael spent training bob. all around lots of angst, some hurt/comfort in the second part, and a very, very bittersweet ending.

requiem

currently ongoing!!! an x reader fic that has you, the player, take on the role of the villain. you team up with bak'al to take revenge on someone who has wronged you. the fic, and even its description, contains BIG spoilers for wynncraft's late-game quests, most notably a journey further and a hunter's calling. it also explores some dark and uncomfortable themes, please refer to all relevant warnings!! read at your own risk!

a very short cherik one-shot, because they've infected my brain. it's just them flirting and making out tbh. nothing more nothing less. but i'm pretty proud of it!

a 5+1 exploring charles' post-first class depression era, from hank's perspective. lots of bitterness, lots of anger, lots of sad feels, and a bitter-sweet comfort ending.

currently ongoing!!!! the first fic of two in a big xmen au i've been putting together for two months now!! the au itself involves a lot of concepts and combines them to form a more complex retelling of first class, the ten year gap, and dofp. the changes to the story include; - cherik as soulmates - erik raising wanda and pietro, then him and charles raising them together - after the beach, wanda leaves with erik, and pietro stays with charles - the twins grow up apart (and erik doesn't get arrested, so he actually gets to raise wanda) - dofp reunites the family forcefully - angst ensues! - also, a few other mcu characters have been added into the storyline as alternate no powers/human versions to themselves to help with plot stuff. this means the inclusion of wandavision!!

tommyinnit - dragonborn! - discontinued. dsmp skyrim au, sbi focused, secondary dream team focus. i really loved this fic and writing it but was forced to discontinue due to... stuff(tm). im still very passionate about the story and happy with what i wrote here, so i recommend it if you're into it.

The Between Dreams and Memories Series - discontinued. a complete retelling of the dsmp storyline. was planned to have 3 parts - same as above, forced to discontinue. contains 2 complete fics (part 1 and a spin off) and one unfinished fic (part 2 of the planned trilogy). one of the biggest fics on my account, a product of several years of work, and a very important work for me, even if its quality doesn't hold up. read if you wish!

Michael McChill- Eye. I didn't pay that close attention to his lore but. Didn't he try to make a record of the entire dmsp lore or try to understand it or something. C!McChill fans what was he doing

Eret- Hunt or Slaughter for the final control room but then she gets kinda Eye coded when she makes the museum. End would be sick as hell but I cannot think of a single basis in the story for this. Maybe Buried for the final control room thing too bc it was a small space but that feels like a stretch

i definitely missed a few characters in there so if anyone has ideas for them feel free to voice them. What did I learn from this? No one on the dsmp was afraid of the dark that's what I fucking learned not a single Dark avatar on there.

Tutto comincia a Glasgow quando tre ragazzi, Jim Kerr, Charlie Burchill e Brian McGee fondano nel febbraio del 1977 un gruppo a tre, Johnny & The Self Abusers, nome in pieno stile punk. Pubblicano anche un singolo, Saints & Sinners / Dead Van Dals, ma l'insuccesso li porta a sciogliere il gruppo. Un anno più tardi ci riprovano, ma scelgono come nome Simple Minds, partendo da un verso di The Jean Genie di David Bowie, He's so simple-minded, he can't drive his module. Si uniscono le tastiere di Michael McNeil e il basso di Derek Forber, e firmano con la Zoom Records, una etichetta in orbita Arista. In regia c'è un giovanissimo Peter Walsh, che a 21 anni aveva lavorato con gli Heaven 17 e a 22 aiuta la band scozzese a produrre un disco che nelle atmosfere generali è sofisticato, etereo ma ricco di vibrazioni intense, suonato benissimo e che ha canzoni meravigliose al suo interno. Il titolo viene in mente alla Band durante un tour in Australia, nel 1981, in cui il promoter oceanico chiedeva se volevano già preparare un tour nel 1983 e 1984: New Gold Dream (81-82-83-84). Il primo singolo è Promised You a Miracle, con il meraviglioso lavoro del basso di McNeil e il riff accattivante di Burchill, con un inaspettato ritmo funk, e con questa canzone debuttano persino in Tv nella storica trasmissione della BBC Top Of The Pops. Il disco ha canzoni che sono diventate famosissime: Someone Somewhere In Summertime, dall'atmosfera sognante e la ritmica innovativa, Glittering Prize che divenne una hit anche per il fantasioso video girato in uan camera tutta dipinta d'oro, canzone che come poche tra l'altro racconta la new wave degli anni '80 nelle sue tastiere a tappeto e nel beat elettronico. Del tocco elettronico dei primi dischi rimane solo Big Sleep, in una mutazione che trova però un perfetto equilibrio in musicalit�� e diventerà una sorta di pietra di paragone per qualche anno. C'è persino uno strumentale, Somebody Up There Likes You, nella meravigliosa Hunter And The Hunted c'è persino la leggenda del jazz Herbie Hancock a suonare un assolo al sintetizzatore, e New Gold Dreams (81-82-83-84) con il suo andare a salire diventerà una hit e un inno da stadio, anticipando il suono elettronico dei Depeche Mode. Il successo di critica e vendite è altissimo, tanto che la band sfrutta l'onda e pubblica nello stesso anno Sparkle In The Rain. Chiama a produrre uno dei nomi del momento, Steve Lillywhite, che aveva prodotto gli XTC e i primi tre dischi degli U2, per un suono più leggero ma che ha un alone di ruvidezza.

Nel 1985, Once Upon A Time diviene uno dei pochi dischi di grande successo più criticato dai fan. Il tutto perchè la band decide di fare una cover di Keith Forsey, Don't You (Forget About Me), che diviene una hit mondiale come colonna sonora del film Breakfast Club (canzone in primo momento rifiutata da Brian Ferry) e ritenuta troppo "pop commerciale". In tutta risposta, la Band è una delle colonne del Live Aid, con piena sorpresa di chi li aveva conosciuti come avanguardia nel 1980. Rimane tuttavia uno zoccolo duro di appassionati, tanto che hanno un record invidiabile di ben 21 singoli in classifica fino al 1998, anno in cui dedicheranno un disco a Napoli, Neapolis. I Simple Minds hanno avuto un percorso musicale del tutto particolare, e il loro ricordo è minore rispetto ad altri gruppi del periodo anche per scelte personali che li allontanarono dal pubblico (dopo Once Upon A Time, si presero una pausa di 4 anni per far uscire Street Fighting Years, che contiene due grandi inni della loro antologia, The Belfast Child e Mandela Day). Ancora oggi suonano, pubblicano canzoni e fanno concerti, probabilmente con poche nuove cosa da proporre, ma con una sfilza di canzoni inni che molti ancora ricordano, declamati tra l'altro con il meraviglioso accento di Glasgow di Kerr, che chiama propriamente la sua band Simple Mains.

the way i put caleb through the wringer in every au you’d think i hate him but he is in fact one of my favorite characters LOL

it’s still called fredbears! (or? maybe not? the main characters are still a bear and a rabbit!)

i have this scene where philip is drafting up the characters and initially they’re a wolf and a rabbit, but it’s sort of a joke at caleb’s expense — caleb is genuinely afraid of wolves. he scribbles over philip’s concept and changes his character to a bear, then suggests philip change his to a deer, but philip is like “you already changed yours leave MINE alone!! besides the deer and owl are OUR thing. not a performance!!!” he’s so dramatic

fazbear entertainment is kinda crazy just in the games lol. people go in they work there they experience the horrors and can’t just leave or spill the beans lest they get lobotomized

eberwolf is a technician and darius works as one as well but more part-time. they hate their job! haven’t figured out if/where a place for the other coven heads is, except raine who’s a music teacher and living with eda ^_^

you will laugh initially but LISTEN - Mother Superion is a bard. she’s a battlefield control champ with a bit of healing (a BIT) and before you think ‘she would not fucking etc. etc.’ consider this - she’s a College of Whispers bard. it is creepy as fuck. she gets in ur head, she deals psychic damage. she’s out here main casting confusion, hold person, mass suggestion, geas. dissonant whispers to give you a nosebleed with a goddamn look. a bard is about swag in any colour scheme and MS is out there wearing black and making you haemorrhage without touching you.

real quick on yas and michael. LOOK i want to make yas a cleric or a druid but i am loathe to give her a high wisdom score. my girl has no sense of direction. so i’m going to make her a wizard purely because it happens every campaign. your wizard has no spells your wizard is trapped in a small room with a melee fighter your wizard is FUCKED. your wizard somehow beats the fucking shit out of that dude and walks out with three missing teeth and a shit-eating grin. this is the yas arc. so, wizard. BIG on utility. i could even see her as an artificer honestly like a bit of artillerist or she could have a metal wolf i wouldn’t stop her. michael is a barbarian but he’s the totem of the bear so when he rages he takes half damage from everything except psychic damage. champ.

cam is a rogue. she’s rogue-coded. she’s a little guy with a hand crossbow. assassin OR perhaps actually a bit of arcane trickster. message, mage hand, a bit of prestidigitation but she’s read the RAW (rules-as-written) and she is exploiting the fuck out of that cantrip. she is dealing 8d6 sneak attack damage and using a feat to shoot again with her bonus action. or you’ve been sneak attack damaged x2 because surprise and so you are dead and she’s bonus action hiding w her sneak ability modifier of +14.

don’t argue lilith is a hexblade warlock. what the fuck else? she’s your archetypical Gish rocking a longsword and fuck it i’m just going to give her magic initiate or something so she can have the primal savagery cantrip for the claws and the teeth. she’s pact of the blade. i can and will have her be a paladin base and multi class into warlock to make an overpowered mess of a stat block but she’s maining charisma and she got constitution to the roof tiles. her eldritch invocations are devil’s sight, agonizing blast, armour of shadows. Eventually I wanna say master of myriad forms just because alter self straight-up slaps and I want lilith to do whatever she wants (god forbid women)

shannon is a paladin. classic paladin exactly like the one my mom always insists on playing and she too forgets she has any spells except hunter’s mark and smites but she’s the only reason the party is alive her AC is 19 from the get-go her fighting style is defence +1 ac and she’s got the sentinel feat. sword and shield or shield and morningstar. poured all her point-buy into strength and con but acts like she’s got an intelligence score of 25 at the table. genuinely the most likely to make the dm tear their hair out bc she wants to talk to every NPC and she’ll fully encourage everyone else to do the stupidest shit

mary has me conflicted. on the one hand she’s an obvious pick for artificer but i dislike that class & mary is too precious to me SO instead let’s give her that sexy sexy gunslinger fighter subclass. yeah she made you homebrew guns into your setting no she isn’t sorry about it. took close-range fighting style so she can be ANYWHERE on the battlefield and hand people their asses. she can snipe but she has a tendency to rush into rooms, immediately trigger all the traps, and then laugh her ass off while climbing out of the pit of spikes like that painting of the naked woman coming out of the well. sometimes the traps set her on fire and she refuses to use her action to put it out. she WILL sacrifice her action bonus action movement argue w/ the DM over what counts as a free action if ANYBODY gets dropped to 0 and is making death saves. fully does not care who has healing word she will book it to her fallen comrades, action surge the shit out of her turn because ‘in this life!!!’

bea. i’m so emotional. i want to make her a blade singer wizard so bad. BUT i think her int modifier better serves rogue. along with dex she can have dual short swords she can use a longbow she can dagger dagger dagger (i’m giving her boots of haste because i love her). but i’m multi classing her with gloom stalker ranger. hands down the best ranger & thematically so so sexy. assassin rogue with three levels in gloom stalker. yes my soul wants to give bea magic but RESIST because she’s cool as she is she’s surrounded by magic users and YET she is still the MVP of any fight. she has dark vision she has sneak attack you bet ur ass she is meticulously planning how to get surprise in every encounter and she does. typical rogue sneaks ahead of the party and dispatches 7 enemies by herself. bonus action dash/ hide but also loves her team because sneak attack loves an ally within 5feet. guys she’s terrifying ava loves casting haste on her and watching her just go batshit. she’ll use uncanny dodge every damn turn if she had to she automatically halves the damage off ava’s self-combustion wild magic bullshit. ava can cast fireball right next to her and bea will succeed the FUCK out of that dex save and take no damage.

specifically like, what entities would each character be part of

first off: in my brain this is like, a world in which the powers succeeded at coming into reality, and the different places we see are kind of like.... different domains? but overall less separate than they are in the tma canon, its all sort of a mess. also obv since its a crossover au its quite different from my interpretation of how the ln world works.

PALE CITY

mono/the thin man: obviously my first thought was immediately "EYE" but if you think about it he's WAY more spiral than eye. he can mess with reality, with perception. quite literally he distorts things. he is glitches and time fuckery. 100% spiral

the signal tower is a SpiralxEye mix, with the physical location of the tower itself being a manifestation of the Spiral, while the weird eye flesh thing is an obvious mix of Beholding with a touch of Flesh.

the tower fucks up reality, time and space, its full of impossible geometry and distorted things and time not working right. it wants to confuse and trap you, and unless you know what youre looking for (mono following the music box), ur gonna be running in circles in there forever (like how michael and helen managed to overcome the distortion bc they had maps).

the flesh walls does surveillance, it can watch the whole city through the televisions, it gets people by Knowing what they want most and showing it to them, and eventually pulling them through the TVs and into itself (the Flesh part). it watches the entire city and no one is safe from it.

the city is then mixed Spiral-Beholding domain,  the signal tower spread fear through the city with the transmission, distorting it, and then the flesh wall came in and hijacked it a bit, starting the surveillance.

the doctor: 100% stranger. its mannequins come to life cmon. the people that went to him tho were mostly affected by the flesh, unhappy w their bodies and wanting the doctor to "fix" them (the part of the flesh that deals with body dysmorphia).

hunter: the hunt. obviously

the teacher/school: this one im not sure, but i think Eye? not so much for six and mono who just kind of passed through there, but for the porcelain kids living there. like think about it, theyre all terrified of the teacher bc they know shes watching them and could get them doing something wrong. irl too, the fear of school comes from the paranoia that youre gonna be judged by other students, or Found Out by the teachers. so i like that as my final answer

the viewers: i have no clue tbh. they could be so much. they have both the eye and the spiral hypnotizing them, they fit the stranger cuz well theyre fucking weird, the whole hive mind thing they appear to have going on and the lack of free will reminds me of the web, and the mindless violence is very slaughter? i actually rlly liked the slaughter answer bc the tvs, the things hypnotizing them, are often playing music which is a common way the slaughter manifests? but that would mean tvs are slaughter ON TOP of everything else so idk

THE MAW

obviously its the flesh. theres not much going on in here besides cannibalism. Six, the chefs and the guests are also flesh.

shadow six could be a manifestation of the spiral, it Was created in the signal tower after all. its there to make six question her sanity. six's hunger exists for the same reason as it does in game (surviving the tower when people Definitely are not supposed to made her lose part of herself, like her spirit or soul or whatever, and so her physical body not being able to process something metaphysical like that, seeks to fill that empty space somehow. hm losing a part of your Self after surviving an encounter with an avatar is a thing that happens in the podcast actually, georgie and her fear. its kind of like that)

the lady tho, initially id say shes flesh too since she runs the place, but idk how much she actually... does? the maw seems to have its own force going on, shes just kind of there. strolled in one day and said Hey I Rule This Now and everyone just went Sure. and she herself doesnt seem to have much interest in the whole cannibalism thing going on? she doesnt Partake she just oversees it. I think the lady fits the dark very well, she can disappears into shadows or even kind manipulate them. she also fits the end since she literally has the power so suck life force out of ppl. which is probably how she survives, like that one statement giver who kept dying and stealing ppl lives. WAIT I JUST READ HER WIKI PAGE AGAIN AND SHES DESCRIBED AS "CASTING A HYPNOTIC SPELL THAT KEEPS [THE MAW] RUNNING" THATS SO WEB. theres so many possibilities aaaaaa. wait i have an idea.

It’s best that we don’t scratch the surface.". what if she's like mary or leitner? she has a huge fuck off library, which might be where she learned so many things from. she could be someone (maybe an avatar of the web) that learned how to use abilities of all the fears without falling into them. which is why she can sap out people's life like The End, manipulate shadows like The Dark, rule a domain of the Flesh, watch over people with the Eye (the cameras and overall eye imagery) etc. i really like that actually.

the janitor: idk stranger? he works at the maw but he also doesnt seem part of the whole cannibalism thing. hes mostly portrayed as a creepy guy (not in a great way bc the game is just like. wow look how weird blind people are with the way they. are blind. but it does end up being all he does in the game). plus he has dolls

runaway kid wasnt part any fears; he was just a victim.

more random stuff:in general, the way the game makes the kids really small and everything else really really huge to show just how powerless they are is like, capital v Vast. the nest is a domain of the stranger but idk enough about the lore of that place to ascribe fears to indiviual characters. also i havent read the comics in a while but i might do that at some point and then ill give fears for those characters too. thats all i thought of i think

I think this is what gave Children of the Corn its force, especially the fantastic pseudo-KJV dialogue

But I think the ur-example is Night of the Hunter (1955). Literally the opening few minutes are just this down-home-y priest saying… hair-raising stuff.

I think this movie captured a glimpse of whatever it is that lurks in the basement of the American Dream. Genuinely no wonder David Lynch found it inspirational.

And I’m not sure how much of it the second half is supposed to be taken as reality anymore. Is it the American Dream trying to reassert control over the nightmare? But is the nightmare just reality, and the last act is a palliative fairy tale to help us sleep? Are those kids actually alive?

UK honourable mention: Apostle (2018) with Michael Sheen

I think an underrated horror trope is “insular christian cult worshipping something that slowly reveals itself to be Very Much Not God”.  I think it speaks something to the bastardized nature of american christian sects like southern baptist and others. I think in a lot of ways the way colonialism pairs with christianity in the americas really makes it demonic in ways that horror makes powerful statements about.
