2. What's something about your OC that people wouldn't expect just from looking at them?

Peregrine: he’s a theater kid! he wanted to be a bard soooo bad or at least multiclass a la Fabian but due to the [gestures at his neuroses around his masculinity] he never did. i think in terms of levels, he ended up a level 20 fighter until he did some paladin training as an adult that put him at like, a 17/3 split between fighter/paladin. in a kinder timeline he’d be doing community theater and taxes with jace. in blood and turpentine. well no spoilers for what im currently writing but it’s not that.   

Dagbert: out of everyone in the group hes the one thats into musicals unironically. and not even good musicals. like picture this massive goliath that’s taller than porter and just as broad, i think i have him as like 7 ft 1, and he just fucking loves Cats. he’s obsessed with fantasy andrew lloyd webber. has a jellicle-sona. 

Ysvelde: she’s somehow got even less of a solid grasp of her identity than jace does. part of it is that she’s an actress, part of it is that she’s never really lived for anything besides the approval of other people (first her mom, then her adventuring party). she has no idea who she is without the approval of others. if you put her in a room alone she’d start climbing the walls instead of sitting alone with her own thoughts. girl who is constantly experiencing The Dread but she covers it up with a winning smile + really cool artsy makeup. 

Aurora: [dan howell voice] one time she had a MESSY night out in [bastion city], kissed a GIRL, and SMOKED A CIGARETTE. no but seriously she has a secret wild side that she rarely lets out, especially as she gets more and more into fundamentalism and what she believes is sol’s true word, the very early beginnings of the harvestmen cult. during their first year adventuring, shes the one that suggested matching tramp stamps while they were all wasted. 

Invidia: she’s a romantic. she really does want her friends to find love. she’s at aurora and peregrine’s wedding as a bridesmaid, and when she realizes that jace and porter are serious about each other, she’s genuinely happy for him. underneath all the cattiness and jokes she’s so glad that everything “worked out” (woman who does not know jace is a dead man walking)

10. What's an AU that would be interesting to explore with your OC?

not to keep talking about this but my infidelity fic which is an au of blood and turpentine? i have so many dramatic scenes from it that i rotate in my head. when peregrine finds out that jace got promoted to vice principal and starts a huge fight about it. dagbert’s father’s funeral. invidia and ysvelde’s falling out. when peregrine finds out about jace’s affair and subsequently gets murdered by porter. aurora’s creepy midsommar-ass family hosting everyone for fantasy easter. 

11. What is your OC's weapon of choice? Have they ever actually used it?

Peregrine: a lance!! by the time he’s a full-time adventurer i’m sure it’s a magical weapon too, probably has like a +2 or something. hes definitely used it before love a martial class. 

Dagbert: his battle axe, absolutely has used it. he’s definitely got a magic weapon too, i think i call out in love’s never meant much to me that it has magic runes on it so yeah let’s call it the same level of magical as perry’s lance

Ysvelde: so she’s a college of eloquence bard and a fiend pact warlock, so i think she probably has a shortsword as a backup weapon but honestly that eldritch blast cantrip is getting her through most of her fights juuuust fine. 

Aurora: circle of life cleric, definitely has a crossbow that she’s used a couple times in a panic early on but she’s more a healer than anything. i picture her spiritual weapon (the cleric spell) as a scythe. 

Invidia: she’s a circle of the moon druid so i think she’d have a pair of broad claws that do some sick slashing damage, plus obviously her wild shape forms, and her animal companion (a wolf but for funsies ive flavored it as a husky named luna and she loves her so much, she treats her like a child, has little bows to put in her fur, etc. luna is fantasy instagram famous)

14. How does your OC want to be seen by other characters?

ohhhh this is sosososo juicy 

Peregrine: the true driving force in his life is to be seen as a protector, as a provider, as a good fighter and a good man. he will Freak Out if he perceives anything as getting in the way of that. especially if its his own actions that make him look weak or immoral in any way, i.e. sleeping with jace when he and aurora are on a break. 

Dagbert: truly. genuinely. from the bottom of his heart. he could not give less of a shit. he wants to be known as a goddamn professional, unlike the rest of these people, apparently. he’s out here trying to earn a fucking paycheck meanwhile everyone else in his party is ensnared in insane psychosexual drama. he’s angling to get a raise to buy out his ailing father’s construction business from him and let the man retire and this clownshow of a party is fucking it up for him.

Ysvelde: she’s not real unless youre clapping and cheering for her if you dont clap and cheer for her she’ll die. she lives and dies on the approval of an audience. she’s a star. but like for real she needs validation constantly, it doesnt matter where it comes from or how she gets it, she just needs to know that she’s getting a good grade in existing, something normal to want and possible to achieve. 

Aurora: her main thing is being right. she’s a cleric, she receives the divine word from sol, she’s his hand upon the world and she’ll spread his light to the darkest corners of spyre and consecrate it for him, make the world holy. she has her convictions and is firm in them, and she wants everyone to see her as a source of good and truth, both in battle and in spirituality. i think after a certain point she couldnt care less what her party thinks of her, she’s mainly looking for the approval of higher-ups in the church of sol to further solidify herself as a priestess and help shape the vision and direction of the church. 

Invidia: her and aurora butt heads a lot because she also is very into being correct, but in a way that is entirely divorced from divinity. instead, she wants other people to see her as observant to a scary degree. she wants you to know that she sees what you do, knows your habits inside and out, all your secrets, and is taking notes and filing them away for blackmail purposes. and when you slip up she WILL brag about predicting your downfall to your face. it’s why she and jace are the ivy-and-oisin of their party, they both love gossip and reveling in the misery of people they dont like.

I just wanted to say how much I looooooovvveeee your Lost Link fic! I love the idea of what would happen if Wild remembered his past. I wanted to know how you think his knight training went? I definitely think that it was a terrible experience that gave him a whole wagon full of horrible coping mechanisms and bad habits(and from where the fic is going, I'm guessing you think similarly), but I wanted to know how you thought his training went. BIG things in canonical material that I feel like are important, especially if they're highlighted. i'm not really going to elaborate much since its kind of spelled out already but i'll say a few things nonetheless (also for consistencies sake i'm going to say lost but do know this ALSO applies to wild) he was the youngest knight appointed in history. like even that alone is FUCKED??? i don't remember if it was something in canon, fanon or something kay n i made up (but it doesnt rlly matter since its canon to the lost hero au ANYWAY!) but he became a knight at TWELVE soon after pulling the sword. then proceeded to become a royal guard at 17. this is a kid surrounded by adults in a generally Unsafe Environment, that alone is enough for some level of fucked. ill explain the "hes been training since he was four" later since i have Thoughts about that, but on a unrelated note do notice that mipha makes the assumption that lost is reckless and not through actually seeing him being clumsy. hyrulean guard when i get you now, to me the vow of silence was something that stemmed from before the calamity and started up in his training. because thats a twelve year old being forced to be a hero when he never got the choice to. OBVIOUSLY hes going to shut down. again, this will be expanded upon later also. lost is canonically self sacrificial. VERY self sacrificial. no further comments, just saying OKAY. NOW ITS LATER BC ITS TIME TO YAP ABT THE "inspired by canon but like. its canon plus." canon is bent in specific ways bc the way link is characterized (in cac specifically) makes him very uh,,,, inhuman i suppose. i love looking at scenarios where decisions have consequences, and it's that specific reason why i enjoy "what if" aus so much.

yes, lost was still trained when he was four. no it was not formally. to me, lost had an interest in swordsmanship because his dads a knight! hes going to be exposed to at least a little bit at an early age. he was insistent on wanting to learn, so with the power of sticks, pot lids, and a lot of positive reinforcement, he learned how to do the movements of swordfighting. he'd never been given a proper sword until the guard brought him to zora's domain. lost's dad never wanted to force the position of hero onto him, so he never gave him a sword. everyone knows that he's the hero except him, and lost's dad would rather keep it that way until he's old enough to climb mount lanayru (it happens much earlier than that) now abt the fucking "According to tales told by the long-lived Zora, Link visited Zora's Domain when he was younger and formed a bond with them, defeating a Lynel and teaching various skills to Zora children. This story sheds light on both his physical abilities and his strength of character." from creating a champion just like. isn't canon in this. the only other recorded time lost fought a lynel in zoras domain was when he was already zelda's guard and he was not younger. so by proxy it must've been when he was four WHICH ISN'T HAPPENING SORRY GUYS!!!! i'm not having a four year old fight a lynel hero or not!!!! it's referenced in lost hero canon (the soldiers accompanied made jokes and tried to egg lost on but it got shut down real quick since a. his dad was there and b. literally anyone who have thinking caps would go "yeah um... no actually!") and now its fanon time :))) when lost was in the army, he was usually trained separately from the other knights, mostly because of skill difference. as a CHILD he was able to clear soldiers, he needed different training period. as for the actual formal training, it was extremely strict. terrible conditions stemmed from an awful reward "system" (that usually led to lost being extremely fatigued and starting an endless loop of punishment. there is a reason why lost can push through awful conditions: hes used to it) all blanketed with the justification of "he's the hero of hyrule." they trained him to be a weapon, not a person. he doesn't have a sense of self nor an identity outside of "hero" "champion" or "weapon." things like "brother" got stripped from him when he joined the academy. they didn't bother with setting up a future for him. he eventually figures his shit out but thats YEARS down the line, and even then he's still suffering from this,,,, self objectification? idk how else to describe it when he wasn't getting grilled for "not swinging his sword hard enough" or having his foot a centimeter off even though he hasnt had the privilege of Basic Necessities To Survive in (insert timeframe) he was usually doing something in the coliseum. as it turns out, having the hero show off in front of an audience by fighting a lynel (or multiple) is a GREAT money maker! shame he wasnt usually told beforehand!

being forced into heroism is a big reason as to why hes the silent knight. he never wanted this. being separated from his family (whom of which i have Many thoughts about. same for his childhood honestly) and surrounded by strangers who have no care for who he is but rather what he stands for was absolutely awful, and only made worse by his age. being silent and just dealing with it is how he coped, and its eventually going to boil over (just give it a few years) his knight training was one of THE worst things to happen to him, right under failing to save his kingdom and inadvertently being the cause of hyrule's demise. it's the reason why he acts the way he does. he wasn't allowed to forget, so instead it influences almost everything he does, says and thinks. SO YEAH IT WASNT A GOOD TIME

at this point world building is more important than spoilers so here u go-

ive thought alot about this actually, even before you had asked this. i think it would be really interesting if reader had parents considering they're an orphan.

rn im seeing if it would better if they did or not so here are the possibilities;

if reader did have parents then theyre prolly dead and that's how they ended up an orphan. i want to be either in a traumatic way, where they watched their parents die (but then id prolly write reader as an emotionally unavailable character so that wont do) or where reader ran from an abusive household looking for a better life (which sounds way better in my opinion, could write a way more interesting back story w/ that.)

i would rather the parents be shitty ppl and still alive rather than the nicest ppl but dead. one) id feel horrible after writing that- two) writing shitty parents sounds fun (i keep on thinking of the willoughbys 💀💀) like- they would be shitty, but in a "well damn" way yk? i want this to be a crack fic almost

if reader did not have parents, like i said earlier theyd prolly be dead from some traumatic accident blah blah blah, or they would have given reader away at birth.

3. biggest goal? not very sure about that, but i wanted to show the reader developing into who they want to be with the skeletons. that was the main thing i was thinking about.

Mentally running in circles around my WIPs and getting pretty much nothing done. 🙃

The one thing I did do was make more decisions about Important Character Things for the Guidemarks AU. I'm not sure how spoilery it's going to be because I'm basically just setting up the world and characters and then writing the entire plot more or less unplanned, but here we go.

I love the Koholint Angst just as much as everyone else, but someone (I don't remember who) once made a post about what if Legend wanted to live in a dream instead of the real world. Kind of like that guy from The Matrix that teams up with the machines and betrays Morpheus and Neo. So Marin's not exactly... dead in my AU, but she also doesn't have a physical body and can only communicate with Legend right now. Normally, when he's asleep, he's just dreaming about her unless something can overpower that ability.

Side Note: Since Marin does technically have free will (it's my AU, I get to decide which philosophical theories are canonically correct) I need to decide what her Big Moment of Self-Determination is for her guidemark. It's probably going to be the Windfish, but I'm not sure because I haven't played the game and the wiki's summary of the plot isn't exactly a good character analysis.

The other Important Character Thing I've decided is that Time and Mask are going to be two different people.

Mask is dead, and tragically didn't survive past his first quest. He's a ghost that's kind of just been around since then, haunting the area he died before eventually moving on to haunt the hero(es) that stepped up in his place.

Time finished all the quests and physically grew up to be a real teenager/young adult. He's the one who actually knows Warriors and was involved in the events of HW, and has the Teenage Angst.

Am I hoping to be mean to Warriors with this? Yes. I think I would like to have a bit of plot where Mask at least tries to possess Time for a while because he's jealous that Time got to have a family, and he didn't after he left the Kokiri. Warriors figures out that something is up, and the big ghost reveal is all emotional because the ghost of what looks like his little brother is literally standing right in front of him.

The best scientific minds of the time came together to create a type of mobile armor that allows for the wearer to have more of an edge in combat. More agile, more focused, more resistant. Rumors are that the primary creator based each on positive traits when the team behind the devices assumed the users would be young adults. This gimmick wasn’t well known, but as the testing of the devices progressed, having a mindset that matched each device benefitted the user in more of a psychological manner than physical. However, the colors of each device and armor were made to simply keep track of agents and what they possessed. Each device contained a tracker to find the others if they were lost. 

The first agent found was assigned the first device, Red, once he exhibited exceptional abilities in both powers and combat. Therefore, Red was associated with leadership, and Agent One, Henry Creel, was destined to be at the head of the task force along with seven other members. More than seven people were found with strange powers, and the unfortunate motivation for training as many as they could find was for…security, in case the other agents were to be inadequate in combat to the point of, for lack of better phrasing, death. But the agents were trained to avoid that at all costs. Perhaps they were trained too hard.

When Agent Eight, Kali Prasad, escaped, she stole the Purple device to aid her. Of course, since her abilities were tied to altering perception, she took the one colloquially referred to as “Mind” and disabled its tracker. Authorities are still searching for it, but in the meantime, all evidence of her and the stolen device were wiped from the data kept by Hawkins Lab, just to cover their tracks. Training became harder, security became stricter, and Agent One was integrated into said security. 

This was a grave mistake.

Andrew's eyes scanned Steve's face, then flickered his eyes to the ground. "Stop looking at me like that." 

"Like what?" Steve moved his hands back to his sides, but kept the same proximity.

"Like...that." He wanted to say like that sunset we watched, all bright and blinding. Pure radiance. Like I'm worth looking at. 

Steve lowered his brows and head, trying to catch Andrew's eyes. "Do you not...like me looking at you?" he asked cautiously.

Andrew looked up into soft brown eyes. Ever since they'd gone in that cave, he's felt more connected to Matt and Steve. Not in the bonding time way, but in the actual mental link. The more they hung out, the more he could feel the subtle ebb and flow of their feelings; it created a fun feedback loop when they were giddy, but overusing powers had them all reaching for napkins. Right now was no different. Steve was so vulnerable, so earnest that Andrew could feel the slight spike in anxiety in his chest (or was that his own?) yet the cautious adoration in his eyes.

ive been reading this fic Knowing itd be a mess and im just... ive had it with this characterization! aimless rant below ^^;;;

so a lot of highschool AUs are just..... Bad? like LOL sorry :x but. youre taking away everything interesting about the miraculous holders, And youre trying to make Fully Grown Adults into children. ??????

n e ways, i found this highschool dropout au,,, im Sure you can guess how i feel abt dugout and tiderdrop together, but personal biases aside (its Icky to me and someday ill figure out why)..... lets read this fic.

(to prove i am Not taking things out of context, heres the whole fic)

FIRST of all, youre ognna notice that the prose is Boring, written in long and uninspired runon sentences. i dont wanna just bash on an inexperienced writer, but if youre gonna be this lazy about it.. who is it for :x

second, headcanoning mariquitas name as the Only spanish name you can think of that starts with "mari"? is just uninspired. mariquita wouldnt Choose a hero name so obviously close to her Real Name.. again im not an unmasker, but this headcanon is ridiculous....

finally, and most importantly.... "he sighs wearily". umm, No actually. he Doesnt. you dont even get an insight into dugouts thoughts other than "im nervous about school >m<"

Needless to say, this and his whiny, whimpering demeanor is incredibly infantilizing,. Furthermore in this context, all it does is plays into the ""yaoi"" trope of a big buff bad big boy x boy who says uwaaah! (i hope it goes without saying, this is Not a condemnation of boys who say uwahh, yall are doing gods work and ily)

cramming tigerdrop and dugout into this trope comes off as (and actually is) incredibly homophobic and harmful. need i remind you, these are real people. i wouldnt be surprised if this author was a fujoshi or something too :x

im a dugout fan Because hes reserved, but in this fic, thats being watered down to him just being sad and whiny.

its just so insulting to be written shrugging every 3 sentences. dugout im so sorry theyre doing this to you ;;;

i havent really been talking about the plot, but heres what it took the author two chapters to get through:

dugout it new in town, hes nervous about the changes. (we dont even know why he misses home??? just, make it up i guess, god forbid a fanfiction Make That part up!!!!!!)

tigerdrop has lived in new york all his life, and he appears to be pretty bored with life (ex: pushes pipsqueak over just because he thought itd be funny, no doubt an allusion to the canal street incident last july)

his characterization is actually really confusing and i think its supposed to be like, Alluring??? but its just disconcerting :x

thats It. Two established characters and empty conversations with others (the mariquita mischaracterization especially drives me up the wall ever since i confirmed my kin with her)

they meet in math class when dugout unknowingly sits in tigerdrops seat..... girl, Literally no one in high school acts like this.

at this point, this fic is no better than glee and the millions of other incorrect and careless portrayals of highschoolers. tigerdrop has some weird banter with the faceless teacher (yet Another reason i hate most highschool fics)

summary: ten picks his first grade son up from school and takes him grocery shopping, and even lets him help make dinner

warnings: although this au is a dark/comship involving an adult man's inappropriate relationship with his elementary school aged son, this fic has no warnings. just wholesome father/son content this time.

tyler pushed the heavy doors open by leaning on them with all his body weight and ran out into the cold december air. immediately he saw his father waiting for him, his face lit up and his arms opening up for a hug. he threw himself into his arms and gave the tightest squeeze he could.

ten squeezed his son right back and swayed him a little too. he gave him a kiss on the cheek, making a little smooch sound. "how was school today tyty?" he asked as he stood up and held tyler's hand. the two began walking to the school parking lot.

"it was good! my teacher gave us goodie bags for christmas break!" tyler answered excitedly. today was the last day of school before their two week vacation. he held up the little gift bag for ten to see.

"oh, how nice... you saved some christmas candy for me, i hope?" he asked.

tyler went quiet. "no... i forgot, im sorry" he said, sounding ashamed as he looked down at his shoes.

ten laughed. "thats okay! im just teasing. that candy is yours, you deserve it"

tyler looked up again. "daddy... can we have hot cocoa when we get home?" he asked. please say yes, he thought.

"of course! but we need to do some shopping first, okay?" ten said as he unlocked his car.

tyler climbed into the back seat and buckled himself in. "okay!" he reached into his goodie bag and pulled out a christmas tree shaped eraser, still in its clear plastic wrapper. he fidgeted the eraser around in his hands while looking out the window as his dad drove away from his school. "... can we listen to the radio?" tyler asked.

ten nodded. "mhm!" he clicked on the radio and turned it to a classic rock station, knowing it was tyler's favorite.

the ride to the grocery store went by much faster with songs that tyler knew playing. he even sang along to a few of them, knowing some of the words. sometimes ten would laugh at tyler singing along.

"whats so funny?"

"oh its nothing" his dad said. "its just that this song isnt really for kids"

"oh" tyler said. he figured it was one of those things he would 'understand when he got older,' that his dad refused to explain.

the car finally came to a complete stop and ten took the keys out, turning the car off. "alright! groceries, here we come! allons-y"

tyler giggled at his dad's catchphrase and hopped out of the car. ten made sure to hold his son's hand and keep him as close as possible, since the store seemed pretty crowded today. his father's large hand firmly holding his smaller one felt warm and gave tyler a feeling of safety as they entered the building of loud noise and bright lights. he edged himself a little closer to ten, now hugging his arm.

ten pet tyler's head softly with his free hand and pulled him along gently. "come, now. lets get something for dinner tonight" he said. his voice was soft and kind.

"sketty..." tyler mumbled, then wondered if his dad even heard.

"hm? you want spaghetti?" ten asked.

tyler nodded, rubbing his face against ten's sleeve.

"lets get some noodles then..." he said. after a short walk to the pasta isle, ten grabbed a couple boxes of spaghetti noodles and tossed them into his shopping basket.

tyler perked up. "hey, we need sauce too!" he said as it occurred to him.

ten nodded and continued guiding his son around the various isles. "yep, yep, im getting to that"

they eventually retrieved a few cans of marinara sause and some mozzarella cheese.

"there we go! now we're all set" ten said. he brought tyler along as he paid for their food and left, all the while still holding tyler close and keeping him feeling warm and safe.

the car ride home was short. they kept the radio on, but turned the volume down a little to talk over it. tyler told his father some jokes he heard from other kids that day, conveniently forgetting the more rude and inappropriate ones.

their arrival home after a long day of school, and work for ten, felt like a warm blanket draped around their bodies. ten started the fireplace going as tyler sat on the couch. his big puffy coat and scarf were now hung on the hook by the door and he had wrapped himself up in a fuzzy blanket.

ten sighed as he stood up, having finally gotten the fire to stay going consistently. tyler got up and sat right in front of it to warm up faster. he held his hands out by the small window.

"careful! dont sit so close, okay tyty?" ten said, and pulled him back a couple feet. tyler whined, but didn't say anything. "... its okay, youll feel warmer when i give you your hot cocoa, remember?"

tyler perked up a little. thats right! he was getting hot cocoa.

ten disappeared into the kitchen and for a few minutes, tyler was alone. he looked up at the christmas tree and thought about how fun it was to help decorate it with his dad. the ornaments were sparkling in the light of the fire and the angel at the very top seemed to shine, with its bright white satin dress and feathered wings. tyler wiggled a little in excitement. he couldnt wait for his dad's friends to see it and tell him how good of a job he did helping to decorate.

soft footsteps entered the living room as ten approached tyler. he crouched down and sat next to his son on their shag carpet, holding a mug of steaming hot cocoa in each hand. he handed one to tyler carefully. "i put some milk in there so it should be cool enough to drink. just dont spill okay?" he said.

tyler took a sip. "mmmm!"

ten smiled. "good?"

he nodded.

the two sat and watched the fire in silence for a few peaceful minutes. tyler had his head resting on his father's shoulder and ten hummed softly, happy to spend time with his baby boy.

"okay... im gonna make dinner now" he finally said, breaking the silence.

tyler whined a little, not wanting ten to get up and leave their comfy position.

"oh, i know baby" ten said as he pet tyler. "how about you come help me make dinner? hm?"

tyler nodded and followed his dad to the kitchen. he watched as he started boiling a pot of water and put all the dry noodles in.

"stay away from the stove okay? this isnt the part i need help with yet" ten explained. "i dont want you to burn yourself"

"okay" tyler said. he watched ten take out a baking sheet and lay out some meatballs, then slide it into the oven.

"here, wanna play games while you wait?" ten asked. he took his phone out of his pocket and handed it to tyler.

tyler bounced excitedly and took the phone. "yeah!"

he focused hard on plants vs zombies, so much so that within just a few minutes he was completely sucked in. the room around him seemed to disappear as his focused stayed on the glowing screen and nothing else.

"okay... here we go" ten said. he took the steaming pot off the stove and held it over the sink, careful not to spill any boiling water on himself as he poured the contents into a strainer. a cloud of steam rose from the sink as the water went down the drain.

the noodles were soft now and looked much more appetizing than they did in the box, all stiff and dry. tyler licked his lips.

"its not ready yet! be patient" ten said through a chuckle. "this is the part i need help with, okay?"

tyler nodded, excited for whatever he was about to do. ten picked him up carefully and sat him on top of the counter. he was too little to help with dinner from where he stood on the floor, he could barely reach.

tyler watched ten pull the meatballs out of the oven. "im so tall! im flying!" he said.

"yes you are!" ten said. he poked tyler's nose gently with the tip of his finger. "boop! now... youre gonna take this biiggg spoon, and youre gonna stir stir stir! as good as you can! okay?" ten explained, and handed tyler a wooden spoon, then opened the cans of sauce and poured them into the pot of noodles.

tyler nodded. "yes!" he said, and immediately began mixing the noodles with the sauce. "it smells good... i want a bite now!" he said as he stirred the best he could.

"haha, me too! but we gotta wait until its all done, okay?" ten explained. "... here, try turning it over like this..." he took tyler's hand and showed him how to scoop the noodles from the bottom of the pot and turn them over so the sauce was mixed evenly. "this way theres no lonely noodles at the bottom"

tyler nodded and kept going. after a while, though, his arms got tired. he whined a little, feeling too tired to keep stirring but still wanting to continue. he was having fun.

"thats good! thank you so much, youre so helpful tyty!" ten said. he took the pot and kissed tyler on the forehead. "are we ready to dig in?"

tyler nodded excitedly. "yeah!"

ten chuckled. "okay, here we go..." he put some spaghetti in two bowls and put some meatballs in as well, and handed one to tyler. tyler couldnt stop himself from grinning widely, feeling very proud of himself for helping his daddy make dinner.

"mmm..." ten said after taking a bite. he waited until he had swallowed it to speak. "this is so good! ive never tasted spaghetti this good... what did you put in here?" he teased.

tyler giggled. "nothing daddy!"

"well, you did something. my meals are never this good when i make them myself..."

tyler giggled more and continued enjoying his dinner. he and his dad kept eating and talking until their bowls were empty and their hunger was satisfied. the two spent the rest of the evening playing video games together. well, really it was ten playing them. tyler only cuddled and watched. the games were much too hard for tyler and he would always get upset that he couldnt do it.

eventually he fell asleep in his father's arms, who turned off the console and carried him off to bed.

What does the post ending of 'The Holiday-Dreemur Kids' look like? How does it compare to what's featured in 'So I'm Waiting For The Teeth' and 'Dear Dess, Love Asriel'? You're are genuinely my favorite deltarune author and 'i know i'm not well (but i'm alright)' is by far my favorite deltarune fic (and in my list of all time fav fanfics) and I would LOVE to know what if any future you've envisioned for the cast?

ok well first off THIS IS SO SWEET THANK U SM......i dunno it always makes me so happy 2 know people return to my fics and me being your?? favorite?? deltarune author???? wild.

n all honestly i didnt really envision any sort of future once i finished up the series, i essentially see both homegrown hearts (for the kids) and dess, after (for dess n azzy) as the futures for the cast as i wrote them in i know i'm not well! this means theres a Whole Lot Of Life unaccounted for yes lol but that leaves it open for you to decide! they made it through the hardest part now they get to live their lives.

tho i will say some cute things ive always sort of pictured would be ralsei going to high school w the rest of the fun gang...she gets out of the dark world pretty early so she's got like, two or three years of high school experiences. i imagine kris susie and noelle really run with the bit of ralsei being a foreign exchange student (from their school's closet) just to see how far they can push it. i doubt they're super secretive about the dark worlds after this tho lol once ralsei gets out its like. why keep the worlds separate?

all the kids are way more mentally healthy here lol since they wouldve worked out the worst of their stuff earlier! im not sure what they'd do as adults...kris and noelle sharing a dorm room is still the funniest thing EVER to me. i also really like the idea of ralsei studying religion...as someone who doesnt study religion idk exactly what that would look like, but i think she'd find it really interesting and really relate to the idea of finding meaning in a world, though im not sure i see her as being like. actively religious herself after the dark worlds. i just feel like studying it is a way for her to forgive her past self, in a way? for how she clung to the prophecy. dunno. might do something with this idea one day. probably not, but we'll see.

on the dess and asriel side of things, asriel would meet chara! in this universe xe was dess's friend first but xe and azzy would hit it off too. asriel and dess playfully fight over xir and chara thinks it is very stupid (xe can have two friends!) but also won't complain about the pair of them doing all the chores xe doesnt want to do lol. i feel like prooooobably one big difference would be chara and azzy not having a qpr? that's an idea i like which is why i explored it in dear dess, love asriel, and i like xir having one with dess which will be seen in the dess raises kris au, but for this particular universe i think both dess and azzy being there means theyre all just close friends! chara doesnt let dess babysit though. dess is fine with this. she is not a huge fan of being responsible for children lol.

dess and kris continue to repair their relationship. for missing so many of kris's birthdays theres a good ten year span where dess goes super all-out. probably plans a surprise party that kris 100% knows about but thinks is really sweet so they dont say anything until the very end.

but thats just a few ideas i came up with! none of these would ever be written in any way bc i cant see myself writing more for the holiday-dreemurr kids universe...those stories are over and while i hope to write more deltarune stuff in the future (i have a LOT of ideas for the dess raises kris au), these particular fics are all in the 'it's free real estate' territory. their futures are whatever you could picture!

We forgot we were human - I am so pissed off i was ready fo write an adult Harry harrymort fic and i was gonna make it super weird and fucked up but it flopped. rpf (real person fiction) isn't inherently bad, as long as you learn how to do it respectfully-- after all, you are writing abt Real People. also note: rpf doesnt have to be an irl fic (where a CC is a CC in story), just a story using real people as the characters. that fantasy au where they all team up to fight god or whatever? rpf baby.

the line blurs a LITTLE with dsmp and other self insert-ish rp, but where i usually draw the line is if they're closer to their characters characterization or the ccs/their personas characterization. again, main point is rpf doesnt always equal irl setting.

im too lazy to properly write a full like essay or paper abt this, so instead heres a few key steps to follow to make sure ur not being Weirdchamp abt it all.

also keep in mind: these are rules ive gathered over my years of yt-based fandom(s) that also assume its a situation where ppl Can contact ccs enough to like. get their word on shit. idk how to handle big celeb rpf lmao good luck w that on your own.
