Is the Rollo hype real????? Wh-why???? Like, please, I genuinely don't get it????? Boy looks like a midschooler version of uncooked chiken!!! Whoever did his hair needs to be thrown in jail!

Sometimes you must look beyond the atrocious haircut to see the appeal, as is the same with someone like Rook. <3 Rollo is perfect and beloved and babygirl and handsome to me. There are many reasons to love Rollo, but if it's the haircut or the sickly pale complexion or the dark circles under the eyes that you dislike then you can always love him in the dark. (˵ •̀ ᴗ - ˵ ) ✧

For one, he has cute hobbies and interests...like stealing everyone's magic. It's very gap moe!!! He likes to write in a diary and his favorite food is a croissant. Very fluffy and adorable contrast to how he acts outwardly. <3 but also he just needs a hug after going through so much tragedy. >_< and also lots of therapy, but then this goes for most (if not all) of the twst cast.

Also!!! He is student council president. :) a man in power will always be a threat, but no matter how dangerous or cold he seems he's actually quite soft beneath that. Also his UM is so COOL?????? orz I love it a lot. And his school uniform is very pretty!! And he has a handkerchief that he uses to hide his expressions. Very cute and polite of him. He is the ideal man (to me). <3

Also also!!! Religious metaphors + Rollo???? Crazy good combination. For when god, untouchable and aureate, abandons mortal, mortal must then seek solace in the same flesh and blood with which he is composed...or something like that with Rollo hehe. He is going to deify you no matter what, and maybe the thing he hates most is the thing he ends up loving. So if you're a magic user, you're immediately put on Rollo's hit list until he falls obsessively in love with you and suddenly he has to keep you pure and untainted from other sinful magic users. >:( wuuwuwuaaaaaa there's so much more I can say, but when it comes to Rollo I will always ramble energetically. ^^;;;;

I just came across Boyfriend (yandere fem!riddle x reader) and gosh, that was sooooo good 🙈

Got me thinking what if the boyfriend wasn't Floyd but... Trey... and how would our cute Riddle react if instead of a guy she could hate freely, it had been her childhood friend the one that stole her beloved reader!

:O TREY...... omg poor Riddle... this is arguably much more difficult than boyfriend!Floyd because, by all counts, Trey is a genuinely good man. T_T she just can't win, can she? Having to hide her sexuality from her mother while fighting for her life to narrowly escape arranged marriages with men, having to watch you and Trey slowly fall in love while she's hopelessly pining from the sidelines because she's not sure if you like girls, and now it's been a few years and you and Trey are still together.

What's worse is that Riddle can't even find anything about Trey to hate or disapprove of because he comes from a good family and knows how to provide for you. He's truly husband material, and this is what she fears: you and Trey getting married because surely that's the next step, right? Meanwhile, Riddle's mother would sooner crucify you for stepping foot in her home and introducing yourself as her daughter's girlfriend. It's such a tough situation to navigate.

On one hand, she doesn't want to interfere in your relationship with Trey because this is her childhood friend, the guy who always looked out for her and stuck by her side even when her mother banned him (and Che'nya) from her house. Riddle doesn't want to lose her friend, but she also doesn't want to lose you either. She probably logics it out, assessing the risk in that classic Riddle Rosehearts way. She's so meticulous about it. Perhaps she eventually decides there's no point in trying to do something that may result in her losing both of her dear friends. So instead she'll just continue to love in silence, eyeing you like you're those forbidden strawberry tarts she could never have. And, in some ways, you are. She wants to be happy for you and Trey, but it's hard when she's spent so many years quietly obsessing over you.

It would be so much easier if Trey was someone she could dislike, but he's actually really good for you. How can she possibly handle that?

out of curiosity i listened to steampianists ‘the botanist’ that you talked about in the tags of my last ask…it really is perfect for rollo. my god. i can imagine him going to great lengths to ensure his love blooms with his darling. if you ever write that fic ill print it out and tape it to my walls. rollo and the two? fics youve written live rent free in my brain and im composing a playlist for him now. i am. in deep.

Pot roast anon, hello!!!!!! >w< omg I'm so happy you listened to the song and agree that it suits Rollo!!! The story is so eerily visceral. I love it so much. "The Detective" is the sequel to "The Botanist" and it involves the singer (the detective) trying to solve the murders committed by the botanist, but in the process he's interrupted by the scientist from "Black Hole" after she brings on the end of the world with her experiment! I adore Steam's work. Every song is so good. orz

I love these lyrics from "The Botanist":

A lady who is allergic to flowers and a botanist who is allergic to humans,,, waaaa it's such a yummy concept!!! Rollo who is allergic to humans (magic) falling for a darling who is so in tune with their magic...... and the way the gloves go from green to red over the course of the song, indicating that something dire happened to the lady (it's revealed in "The Detective" that the botanist would remove the hearts of the women he kidnapped). The symbolism in making someone or something bloom. Rollo whose talent is literally gardening. Rollo who cared for and grew the Crimson Lotus........ I LOVE HIM SO MUCH. OTL he really does feel like the botanist character in the song.

ALSO!!!! The way the lyrics transition from "passionate for flowers" to "passionate for a flower." Going from plural to singular as this flower (the lady) fills the botanist's heart with some sort of crooked adoration. A darling couldn't fix Rollo. In fact, you would just make him worse (more obsessed) unintentionally. >_< I really want to write a fic inspired by this song for Rollo!!! It suits him so well. I'm happy you would want to read a fic like that!! <3

I've only written three fics for Rollo so far (The Diary of Rollo Flamme, Eden, and Crow & Goat in Courtship), but it's not nearly enough. He was so crazy during his confrontation with Malleus, Idia, and Azul in Glomas. The way he actively tried to strike Malleus down????? AAAAAAA. Unfortunately, Rollo will indeed strike him down in the dead dove fic I have planned. ;;;; he's scary,,,,

I think "The Botanist" could also suit Jade if I'm writing him as the clinically detached type (like in Monops's Reflection), but I need to get the eels out of my brain. T^T

The song isn't in the playlist, but I should make a more serious Rollo playlist (like the one I made for Azul) because the bible study one is,,,,,, not very serious. ^^;;;; it's mostly filled with songs about sex and lust LOL. If I ever write smut for Rollo, that is likely the playlist I'll listen to. >:D
