Is it bc they really want to ship sebaciel but have been told so much that’s evil that they’ve found a “safe” way to do it?

I didn’t have anything against the trope but seeing so much of it tied to antis has soured me toward it. Seriously, there’s like a 90% chance someone is an anti solely based on if they love Dadbastian.

This isn’t saying anyone is bad or wrong for liking that trope, anti or no, but I just find it so interesting, especially bc most antis don’t take this trope into an AU but do keep it in canon.

…While I’m not gonna be one to criticize how anyone decides to write or draw something in terms of being OOC, that just boggles my mind?

Do they confuse butler/valet duties for parental ones? Are they young and want to see Seb as a father figure (as opposed to a romantic one)?

this sounds kind of pathetic but I'd love to have a therapist walking me through social interactions (I mean stuff like giving me tips and help me coming out with scripts in advance and understanding what went wrong after. Not them being with me all the time lol) because I went to three therapists already and they all didn't understand that my problem runs deep they were like "oh it'll get better with practice" and yeah practice eased some of the anxiety but the problem it's still there and I feel I can't really manage it on my own. It's like trying to repair a malfunctioning machine with no mechanical experience. At least I'd like an instruction manual please

made up my mind with the whole casey and hun situation

hun is casey’s step dad, and the father of case’s half sister angel

casey and hun hate each other, and angel has a pretty strained relationship with hun

he eventually gets his redemption through venus/mei

in next mutation, where venus de milo got her debut as the fifth/girl ninja turtle, venus’ real name is mei pieh chi, and she grew up in chinatown

so the idea is that hun, seeing what the foot turtles are going through, starts to reach out. he bonds the most with venus, and he becomes the father that venus never had and hun couldn’t be for angel. hun says something about if he ever had a daughter he could’ve named himself he would’ve named her mei.

while angel had changed her name to not be chinese(because a. she’s trans and just happened to settle on the name angel and b. because of her strained relationship with her dad she distanced herself from that side of her ethnicity) venus adopts the name mei over time when she gets closer to hun(which wouldn’t take long since he’s one of the only people showing her kindness), which goes with the idea of “venus de milo” always being a name put on venus that wasn’t really hers. in idw, it’s what the scientist names her

and in next mutation the other turtles just kinda start calling her that and while she never expresses discomfort with it they still don’t even ask.
