this is not the first time that i have publicly declared that i think hunter has a deep rooted connection to the movie pretty woman and it will not be the last

first of all this movie is incredibly soothing to hunters overwhelming savior complex

second of all hunter is literally richard gere (debonaire but emotionally distant gentleman that learns to love) and julia roberts (hooker with a heart of gold) at the same time

he was a little skeptical the first time you put it on but he instantly fell in love with it

the humor, the sensuality, the class divide, the glamour, the unconventional cinderella story of it all. it just really butters his bread

after the first time, when you suggest watching a movie and you pick this one he’ll act very aloof about it (“whatever you want cyar’ika, it doesn’t matter to me”) but secretly he’s really really happy bc it’s one of his favorites (you def know this and def pick it more often)

he absolutely hates the scene when stucky the lawyer hits vivian. like it doesn’t matter how many times he watches it he will fully turn his head away from the screen and say “I don’t like this part” and when it’s over he nuzzles a little closer into you and very tenderly kisses your forehead

he loves the soundtrack too. like he fully exposes how much he likes the movie when you catch him singing or humming “pretty woman” or “it must have been love” absently to himself (you kept it to yourself for a while but eventually you just had to tease him about it. he just smiled a little sheepishly and admitted he liked the songs before promptly changing the subject)

hunter also lowkey definitely wants to recreate the ending where richard gere shows up to her apartment in the white limo with you bc he thinks it’s such a sweet gesture and he wants to treat you like royalty

Crosshair: 10 Things I Hate About You

if there’s one thing about crosshair it’s that he’s a sucker for the enemies to lovers genre

maybe its just him projecting (spoiler alert it most certainly is) but he really enjoys watching the drama conflama of a miserable bastard be tricked into love

and really that’s the true essence of 10 Things I Hate About You

he will grumble and bitch and moan about not wanting to watch a ‘chick flick’ when you put it on, but 15 minutes in and he’s hooked

he has strong negative opinions on literally every single character except for kat and patrick

(crosshair really really wants to think he’s patrick but when it comes down to it he is katarina stratford in every single possible way)

he doesn’t say a word throughout the entire movie but you can tell when he’s annoyed at like bianca or cameron or joey bc he will openly scoff at them

will absolutely hum along in your ear during the “can’t take my eyes off you” scene and make out with you during the paintball scene

when it’s over and you ask him what he thought he’ll roll his eyes and say “i guess it could have been worse” but his little smirk let’s you know he enjoyed it a lot more than he’s willing to admit

Tech: 50 Shades of Grey

ok hear me out on this one

tech is a huge movie talker. like subtitles are a non-negotiable if you wanna be able to take in any of the movies dialogue bc tech is most likely gonna make commentary over it the whole time

this makes him absolutely indescribably so much fun to watch bad/corny movies with

he will go off about EVERYTHING. the plot, the dialogue, the acting, the costuming, the music, the production quality. nothing and no one is safe. whether you just enjoy letting him talk at you or you join in on the roast, cheesy movies are a hoot between you two

and honey. 50 shades is one of THE cheesiest movies ever

you and tech will literally spend the entire duration of the movie tearing it to shreds

and the thing is tech is a very sarcastic, funny guy when he wants to be (and when it comes to you he definitely wants to be) so by the end of it he will have you in absolute stitches from laughing at the ridiculousness of both the movie and him

with any of the other batchers watching a movie like this either turns into a shy, slightly awkward experience (wrecker, echo) or an incorrigibly horny experience (crosshair, hunter)

but in this context tech literally has no shame or squeamishness about sexual things (why should he it’s a natural biological process?) so to yall the sex stuff is just another thing to roast

literally christian grey could be fully tying dakota johnson down and flogging her and tech will be like “in the last 3 minutes they have panned up to her nipples 4 times. this is criminally shoddy cinematography”

even tho he’s busy giving a detailed play by play critique, he never fails to keep some sort of physical contact with you (wrapping an arm around you and running his hand up and down your skin, playing with your fingers or your hair) so you know he’s enjoying spending this time with you despite his nasty words about the movie

Wrecker: 13 Going On 30

of all the bad batch members, wrecker is the only one who unabashedly loves any movie that could be considered a chick flick

like he doesn’t even try to hide it or act like he’s too masculine for it. he loves romance and he’s proud of it

this man will have full marathons with you. rom coms, regular roms, tragic roms, hallmark roms, you name it and he’s game

his absolute favorite tho is 13 Going On 30

i feel like he has a huge soft spot for childhood best friends to lovers stories like he finds that type of lifelong partnership so endearing (and he loves to live vicariously through jenna since that type of romance was obviously never an option for him)

wrecker is also very childlike at heart and i think the idea of a 13 year old sweetheart trapped inside the body of a 30 year old cut throat magazine exec is so amusing to him (and maybe makes him feel just a little bit represented in the media)

he is definitely the type to completely engulf you in a cuddle for the entirety of the movie and he DEFINITELY cries into your shoulder at matty’s wedding when jenna is crying on the stoop with her dream house

he wants to try razzles so bad. like so bad. i think if he ever came across them somewhere he would barter at least one of his brothers for them

Echo: The Princess Bride

i feel like it’s glaringly obvious why echo loves this movie

pirates. sword fighting. decades long revenge plots. the value of an honorable, loyal man. true love that never wavers even in the face of devastating tragedy and the darkest of hardships. clever but goofy humor.

echo considers this an action/adventure movie and NOT a romance movie (even tho it 100% totally is a romance movie) and requests to watch it very frequently

he can quote the whole thing. i’m seriously telling you echo loves the princess bride with his whole chest

even tho he refuses to admit it’s a love story above all else, he really does try to model himself in your relationship after wesley

like especially given what happened at the citadel and all the time you thought he was dead, the cinematic parellels are alive and present in y’alls relationship and he strives to be even half the man to you that wesley is to buttercup

literally in your day to day life he will sometimes respond to your requests with a smooth “as you wish ;)” (it doesn’t matter how many times he does it it still gives you butterflies)

when you watch the movie, he snuggles as close to you as possible and does his best to make youre comfy the whole time (he’s insecure about his prosthetics hurting you no matter how much you reassure him they don’t)

and ofc gentleman+awkward Mark lead her to where Taeyong is and from there, Mark finds out that she is Taeyong's sister (Mark feels dumb but it's okay bcs she actually doesn't introduce herself as Taeyong's sister for safety reasons - it was weird for Mark, he kept on bumping onto her even when she visited Taeyong for both business purposes and for siblings time)

he also finds out that she went to to same college as him (as well as the other Dream members' partners, it was all a coincidence that Mark's crush is friends with the other Dream members' partners)

and because she is Taeyong's sister, she would always be invited to parties that are made by Taeyong or the other members. (in result all of them became friends and consider a family, she is even friends' with all 23 members' partners - she is a social butterfly)

whenever they are talking in the corner of the room, the older members would look at her and Mark - observing Mark from far and they kind of guessed that Mark somehow likes her, just seeing the way his body language shows

they are right, Mark indeed likes her ever since she kind of confronted Taeyong on giving Mark missions back to back (Mark finds out that it lead into a huge argument between her and Taeyong - actually everyone finds out they were screaming in Taeyong's office till Taeyong's girl and a few of the 127 members had to step in)

fast forward Renjun and the rest of the members find out that the guy cheated on Renjun's best friend and things went down yall (Renjun got into a fist fight with him and ofc the Dreamies had to call her and that's when things literally went downhill)

she and Renjun got into a huge argument, it's just messy until Renjun couldn't take it anymore and literally shouted those 3 words which is 'I love you' and our homegirl is shook (and Renjun started avoiding her and she just went to NCT's residence crying after Mark and Haechan spill everything to her - Dream members couldn't take it anymore after seeing Renjun basically crying and just wasn't himself for a few weeks)

according to Mark and Haechan, Renjun told them that he has always like her every since high school and till now, his feelings never change - he likes how confident she is, how protective and caring she is (and to Renjun, the way she flirts with him was different from how she flirts with other guys) although she had did things that break his heart (dating others, basically seeing her in campus)

though mostly the Dream members as well as their partners back up Jeno (since Dream members know the exact story) and most of them were willing to get hurt just to protect their friend, but Jeno would tell them to stay out of it

but of course one wouldn't listen to him and let's welcome our savior of Jeno's life, his best friend aka his crush ever since they were in middle school

his crush is a sweet individual and most people were quite weirded out to see him getting along with her, both of their personalities kind of the opposite (they didn't know that the reason why they are able to be friends, much more than friends - best friends)

will explain more about his crush istg i love Jeno's girl Jeno secretly loves her bad-ass/aggressive side which was the day when sadly, his crush gets nearly expelled - so what had happened was Jeno got into a fist fight with a group of boys and there was a commotion obviously which lead Jeno's crush and her friends (which were Dream's partners) to the area

basically Jeno was being ganged up and beaten - her friends were shook that she decided to get involved which was rare and seeing how aggressive she got when she shove one of Jeno's attacker and started throwing out strong punches to the point when the boy screamed bloodily (and her friends had to hold her back, it was so sudden and frightening to see the look she gave)

and all of them was basically sent to the principal's office and let's just say Kun was being called too (he is the dean of the college they are attending) - and everyone receives punishment equally but the group of boys who gang up on Jeno were given much more heavier punishment

the next thing happen that made all of the Dream members step aside was hearing harsh words coming from Jeno as a result the two of them were shouting at each other in frustration until one of them accidentally said 'i love you'

but those words weren't coming form Jeno - it was from her (it was all a sudden but she meant it)

let's just say at the end of that argument, both of them shed more tears in each other arms and getting a kiss on the lips - and a full-time committed relationship

now knowing that jeno thought he knows her best friend-lover too well until he somehow figured out a secret that she has been keeping from him and everyone around her for too long

and interestingly all of sudden he became strangely quiet whenever a very familiar looking girl walks into NCT's residence together with the other older members along with their partner's

you see, Haechan has a huge crush on Jungwoo's and Jaemin's partner's sister and although they were in the same circle of friends, she and Haechan didn't talk much and that's because she is a busy girl while Haechan is too shy to make the first move

but all that shyness has to be put down when Taeyong gave Haechan work to do which was to become the bodyguard to her (apparently her sisters were in danger which lead to Haechan's crush being involve too)

basically they started talking and both were becoming more comfortable with each other that Haechan would always hangs out with her in school and be clingy to her and as usual being his usual loud self (and she is the only one who can keep up with Haechan's clinginess which the other members would call her if they couldn't handle him)

when Haechan started to realize he is in love or already fell for her is when he was summoned into the meeting room with 127 (and for the first time, Jungwoo wasn't there and that's because he was in another country, on a hide out with his girl), telling Haechan that a group of syndicate is trying to kill his crush's bloodline (apparently her family has a lot of hatred just because they have the most gold-basically-rich which is ridiculous)

so she was forced to stay in NCT's residence (together with her younger sister whom were just a few months younger which would be introduce as Jaemin's partner) and by then Haechan already confirmed his feelings for her after they kind of cuddled together as well as having the deep talk regarding her life and it's just different

and when Haechan thinks the situation was eased down and thinking that he could make his move, turns out it was the opposite of what he thinks - and to summarize, his crush end up being the hostage making ALL of NCT members' to move their feet after seeing Haechan basically turn into rage

Haechan was a mess alright, he was mad, frustrated, kind of pissed with himself and also scared (at the end of the day, he was the savior of the night - he was the one who personally took her out of the basement of where the syndicate lives)

the rest was history with interestingly her being the first one to confess to him and Haechan making the first move on kissing her right in front of the members (iconic)

although Jeno is always with him, school somehow separated them since they were taking different subjects (this is in high-school) and that's how he gets to meet his crush, which is also a sister to Jungwoo's and Jeno's partner in a not-so-good situation

Jaemin is known to be that cute introvert individual who does his own thing and sadly, boys who had jealousy of Jaemin's good looks would find ways to tease him or just made fun of him (Jaemin would usually shrug them off and Jeno would always be the one to back him up)

until one day when Jaemin steps out of the school building and he was randomly pushed down and all he remember was huge throbbing on his head from being kicked and punched then hearing groans and yells from the boys before passing out

and when he woke-up kind-of, he saw blurry image of Taeyong, Jeno and a girl in a corner, he couldn't see her face clearly but all he could remember was she had a blonde hair and she was wearing a leather jacket (and he passed out again poor Jaemin he wasn't in a good condition)

Jaemin would return to school a few days later and strangely, there were new rumors regarding a girl, that was also mentioned with Jungwoo's and Jeno's partner's names, coming back and of course as a NCT member he put two and two together (she was the one who save him and she is the sister to both of Jungwoo's and Jeno's partner and they are known to be well-known in their own ways, especially the youngest one. it would be explain in her own profile/moodboard)

honestly during lunchtime, they would make a few eye-contact from far. Jaemin as usual with Jeno and the Dream members while she was in her own clique (this is before she joined Elinovas Angel, she had her own clique in high school)

the reason why Dream members didn't approach her nor her clique or herself is because both groups are kind of rivals secretly (but all of them are chill though and THAT IS BECAUSE of her saving one of the Dream members so it's a win-win situation)

the first time Jaemin approach her was when she was just minding her own business in the cafeteria, sitting alone, reading a paper while munching an apple (apparently the way Jaemin approach kind of her made her choke slightly, causing her to almost fell from her back and that's when Jaemin perfectly caught her, IN his arms all of a sudden it's like a k-drama or something) let's just say they were lost in each others eyes with her basically yeeting out of his arms with a flushed face

THAT was the moment when they kind of were attracted of each other

the rest of high school days were actually pretty memorable because he actually made friends with her BUT in secret , thanks to Taeyong and the older member's parties, Jaemin had his chance to make her trust him as they had this cute bond with each other since she attended the events as a sister to Jungwoo's and Jeno's partners (Jaemin already consider her as his best friend maybe more than that, he is still confused with his own feelings)

but things started to get out of hand nearly graduation when all of a sudden Jaemin and Dream members were being approached by her clique, needing Jaemin's help that one of their members which was Jaemin's best friend/crush was being held hostage (and everyone was shocked to see how Jaemin's face turned from normal to rage - he literally ran out of the school compound)

within an hour with Jaemin rushing to Taeyong and getting the information he needs, Jaemin founds her and he was horrified after seeing her body literally laying on the basement and she looked like she was beaten (Jaemin was crying when he was driving his way to NCT's residence - everyone was shook to see him cry because in every missions they did, he had never show his vulnerable side, this was the first and it isn't even a mission tbh)

he would stay by her side - he even neglected his own daily needs. he wouldn't leave her side even when the Dream members or the older members would softly ask him to eat or take a rest. that was the moment when everyone figured out that Jaemin loves her (it was obvious with the way Jaemin looked at her sleeping face - and deep down, Jaemin even knows he care for her, adored her and love her)

Chenle loves his job tbh that's because he get to plan out booby-traps for unwelcome visitors and most of them would be killed instantly by Chenle and Jisung's booby-traps (the older members were shookth to see a few dead bodies in front of their main door - and they found out Chenle and Jisung had used Yangyang's poison air-gas and somehow put them in balloons)

being tech specialist, he rarely comes out to do missions since Taeyong doesn't allow him and Jisung too - but when Taeyong or Mark really needs a last minute back-up, that would be Chenle (the young one has his own back-up team)

until one day, a unfamiliar girl and obviously unwelcomed ran into NCT's residence - there are multiple CCTV's in their residence (they could even see what's going on WAYV and 127 residence) and it was weird to Chenle because he couldn't recognize her since he knows everyone who is somehow friends and are associates to the 23 members

so instead of as usual activating the booby-traps, Chenle's guts tell him to go out there personally armed with a gun and asking Jisung to keep a watch out and in the end his guts were right (it was Winwin's younger sister whom Winwin himself didn't talk much since she is always abroad and she looked pretty terrified)

now the thing about Chenle is he isn't too friendly with people he doesn't know EVEN though they are friend with the other members (except for the Elinovas Angels, Chenle really really treats them like his own guardian/older sisters) but strangely, he didn't know why he has this feeling of wanting to protect her - seeing how fragile she look at that exact moment (dude Chenle was concern, she looked like she was crying on the way here and he actually guided her to WAYV's residence since she barged into DREAM's)

and after that night, Chenle strangely kept thinking of her and in result of him asking Winwin what is going on and he was shook to find out his biological sister was about to be in a arranged married with a psychopath and an abuser (and without thinking Chenle started to give out plans and he didn't realise Winwin was shook to hear how concern he is because Chenle IS NEVER to be the one to get in others business)

Winwin being the good older brother actually listens to Chenle and one was to ask her to stay in NCT's residence and to ask her to enroll into where Dream members are currently studying in which was Kun's college (eventually she enrolled and all of the Dream's partners' are sweet enough to greet her, making her comfortable as she joins the group and eventually Elinovas Angels)

everyday, Chenle sticks to her and both of them are already comfortable with each other, not knowing what was about to come in the future

and one frightening day, Chenle receives a hand-written letter from her and he came running almost crying to Winwin about what was written - he was shocked and hurt that she decided to surrender after receiving threats regarding to attack NCT's residence and Taeyong's company building (what he didn't tell Winwin is that she actually wrote a separate letter for Chenle, confessing that she actually fell for him - he was nice, patient and just his own self unlike other mafia man she knows. she also revealed that if she stayed longer, she would fall completely for Chenle)

that part actually made Chenle hurt the most, he could just cry on the spot but his mind was much faster to run to Winwin to save her from doing something stupid (which was marrying that bastard)

for the first time, out of all missions, he decided to personally rescue her along with WAYV members

iconic and everyone sees Chenle's protective and loving side, he is lowkey to his own members but for the first time, everyone could see his vulnerable side openly (and expect to see Chenle calming the almost raging Winwin and his sister who almost gonna cry and that made Chenle kind of more protective)

PARK JISUNG

until 2 days later where NCT and their partners' were invited for Taeyong's annual party and all of the members' siblings were invited - and from the corner, Jisung saw her along with Lucas (of course some of the Dream members have to call Jisung since the boy wasn't too attentive and Jisung swore that she looked like she didn't want to be there)

and he was right, Jisung followed her quietly - seeing her going to the swimming pool, sitting down on the edge while soaking her feet (the members encourage him to go to her though, and Jisung didn't waste any time to approach her)

the moment he said his first words and locking his eyes with hers, he was stunned on how beautiful she looks - the dim lights in the corners of the pool reflect through the water and to her (let's just say Jisung found out what had happened to her during the 4 years and he didn't know she suffered too - and they ended that conversation with an apology towards each other and hugs of comfort)

since then and fast forward to college, they were as close as ever and at some point, Jisung learnt that his best friend changed slightly (at one time, a group of boys somehow decided to tease him and she decided to step forwards and again Jisung is stunned to see that his best friend know how to fight)

we would wonder how Shotaro joined NCT? it was actually through his parents (unfortunately through a saddened incident of a syndicate barging into Osakis' residence, they were almost slaughtered but it was actually thanks to Yuta that they were saved - the NCT member was close with Shotaro so they keep tabs with each other)

his parents entrusted NCT on taking care of Shotaro (and since then Shotaro lives with the Dream members. he learns how to be independent with the help of the NCT members)

and with that he is immediately enrolled to schools that Kun owns (he had attended high school which when he met his now best friend)

he is a shy bub and at that time, he was already somehow a member of NCT (all rookies in NCT will definitely end up as a NCT member, and as usual all NCT members will gain huge attention in schools)

everyone was gossiping about a cute guy that looked like an otter joining the school and stuff and so Shotaro was being seen in the hallways (all girls adore him tbh, he is the only member who looks endearing - even when he doesn't smile)

Shotaro was so committed to school that he joined a club which was the basketball club ! (honestly the basketball club was shook and excited that they have a NCT member and all of them were nice and supportive guys which were rare to find)

and the cheerleaders room and basketball room is just 2 doors away from each other - guess who met one of the well-known cheerleader, yes our otter cheerleader

so what had happened was Shotaro and the boys were leaving to grab drinks and coincidentally, the door of the cheerleaders' room opens abruptly with one of the members exiting the room with her phone on her hand (and guess WHO accidentally bumped into her, yes Shotaro)

followed by hearing deep gasps and the sound of a phone crashing down on the floor, silence decided to cover the area and the first one to move is Shotaro to gather the broken phone while apologizing to her numerously (and what made Shotaro widen his eyes was hearing her answer which was "it's okay, well, at least i get to avoid my annoying older brother. don't worry the damage will be on me though")

and with that, she left quickly and the boys started started to ask Shotaro if he was okay or did she just threaten him and ofc Shotaro was confused on who they were talking about (then Shotaro was being told that she was actually NCT Johnny's adopted younger sister and they kind of had a fall out and stuff - there were rumors about her that she was being adopted and it was sad she had to find out by the rumors itself)

her face and her impression kind of stuck onto his mind that Shotaro couldn't help but steal glances towards her whenever he saw her in the hallway or during lunch (basically a tsundere to him)

according to Shotaro's point of view, she would always be seen with her own clique, in the middle of the girls who were gossiping while she was on the phone looking unbothered at the same time answering her friends (and somehow they both caught each other's eyes that Shotaro froze and as for her, she slight smiled at him before looking away *cue Shotaro panicking and feeling butterflies on his stomach*)

the next moment they met was at Taeil's party and as usual everyone was invited, which includes Shotaro - and when he arrived, guess who saw the girl looking grumpy as she followed her tall older brother? Shotaro of course (she doesn't look impressed at all as she follows her older brother as he was talking to his own friends - and at one time she slips off as she wander around)

and while Shotaro wanders to find the Dream members and her walking off making small talks with Dream members' partners, they again bumped into each other but this time she was about to fall by her back and Shotaro who has fast reflex caught her by her sides (that's when they had a FACE TO FACE eye contact and not wanting the situation to be an awkward one, she started the conversation first which lead them to exchange numbers)

which just an exchange of phone numbers, both of them became close which means they kind of know each others' habits and because she trusted Shotaro, she even told him her secrets - well not a secret since everyone found out from a rumor (Shotaro remembered that she called him in the middle of the night, as she was crying and being the gentleman he is, he came to her and they just sat on the stairs right outside of Dream's residence)

their friendship kind of grew from there till they graduate and attending the same college as the other Dream members (and of course they are accepted in the Dream clique since they know each other through the other members)

and Shotaro is slowly falling for her and everyone knows that especially the members - with how he looks at her and how he just communicates with her, he thinks he knows everything about her but there is just one secret he didn't know about her which will one day save Shotaro's life (will be revealed in her own profile)

so Taeyong kind of took him and that's when the mafia leader knew the kid somehow just found out the truth on what his parents did and he was ashamed tbh (ofc who wouldn't be ashamed finding out your parents kidnapped children, trained them to become weapons and somehow tortured them in the middle)

and that was like 5 years ago and a year passed, Sungchan lives in NCT Dream's residence at the same time attending high school along with the other Dream members

and one fine day, his class was introduced to a new classmate and Sungchan's eyes widened as soon as he recognized that stone-cold face and his classmates were definitely a positive kind of bunch as they excitedly say their 'hi's and hello's with excitement (Sungchan was the only one who didn't say his 'hi's and 'hello's, he was froze on his seat realizing that girl is his long-time childhood friend)

one thing that Sungchan loves about his childhood which he would always hold onto that whenever someone ask him regarding his childhood was actually play-dates with his childhood friend (whom is a younger sister to Taeil's wife and to Got7's leader, Lim Jaebeom)

his parents were somehow friends with hers and that's how the play-dates started, hence they attended the same middle school (both of them were the innocent ones when it comes to their parents' works but she was smart to find out things since her parents' were assassins)

and with Sungchan escaping from his house after sneaking and hearing their conversation, and he got caught by his parents' men in result of Sungchan getting physical by stabbing them, hence he out of nowhere cut off contact with his childhood friend

Sungchan knew she still recognize him after seeing her face grew more cold, after making a 2 second eye contact as she turned away to find her seat and through-out the day, she didn't even approach him instead she just walked passed him - and that went on for a month

until he decided to approach and let's just say it didn't go well in the middle - with him grabbing her arm since she just ignore him and them basically yelling at each other but what made Sungchan stop on the 'yelling competition' is seeing her tears finally falling and in result of Sungchan crying too after hearing her confessing what she felt for the passed few years without him

and so 2 childhood friends were reunited and one fine day as they were enjoying lunch in school, all hell break loose after hearing non-stop gunshots then seeing a notorious faces of syndicates that Sungchan knew (and strangely before Sungchan decided to make his move, his childhood friend was fast enough to hold onto his hand as they make a run for it)

they were smart to realize that those men were actually after Sungchan and Sungchan couldn't even process everything that day as he only remembered arriving to NCT's residence with all of the members basically running around (basically 127 and WAYV trying to calm down the panicked Kun at the same time worrying for Sungchan and Dream members worrying for Sungchan and his friend)

a few days later, Sungchan was acting weird towards her - avoiding her at the same time not replying to her texts which made her super annoyed, that one fine Saturday night, there was a loud knocks on Dream's residence door and poor Shotaro opens the door to see her raging and wanting to talk to Sungchan who was busy playing FIFA with Jisung and Chenle on the 2nd level

sweet Shotaro guided her and the atmosphere grew tense after Jisung see Sungchan's friend standing with cold glares towards Sungchan and ofc Jisung had to nudge on Chenle and he had to nudge onto Sungchan (honestly it's comedy peak) and ofc ChenJi had to escape from that suffocating atmosphere

Sungchan knew at that moment he was going to have another 'yelling competition' but instead she just sat beside Sungchan quietly and said "please don't do that, I already lost a few people that I love. you are the last person that I don't want to lose."

and they cried in each other's' arms again after finding out the truth about what happened to her family and Sungchan found out that she knew what had happened to him back then (and so much more that Sungchan wanted her to join NCT but she can't because of Taeyong agreeing with Jaebeom on business related stuff and weirdly about her too)

so from that moment onwards till college, there were no secrets between her and Sungchan and they continue to become that type of bestfriends with Sungchan asking her to come to parties or events that the members could invite someone and she would constantly had to remind him that his older sister is married to the oldest member in NCT and of course she has to come

but there was something that Sungchan couldn't tell her face to face and he had no choice to make it as a secret - and that would be confessing to her about his feelings (which was liking her ever since they were in middle school and falling in love with her in the present time)

This might end up taking multiple chapters, in addition to me digging in too deep, this ship in general just gives off a petty enemies, to reluctant allies due to supernatural circumstances, to ‘hey you’re not as bad as I thought.’, to friends, to lovers vibe.

Occam's razor indicates that the simplest explanation to a scenario is also the most likely scenario to be the true one.

For example: when an animation studio suddenly closes down and gets condemned, people who are on the outside looking in are much more likely to blame the studio's poor money management than go look for some extraordinary truth. That, paired with the workers of the said studio also coming out to site the terrible conditions of the place as an added cause for the studio's demise. When people have to work long hours with little pay to show for it in a dingy, gloomy, constantly-falling-apart studio that clearly wasn't going anywhere except six feet under or lower, they aren't exactly motivated to work hard or happy.

The Hunger was intense, growing beyond mere gnawing and was now consuming the cursed mechanic. The first change he felt was his teeth, the Curse deciding it was easier to make them all fall out at once so his new ones would grow in. He cut up his own tongue on the newly-made fangs. Call it an act of mercy or an act of mockery, but the tongue followed the teeth's example, falling out altogether so that the tongue of a wolf could grow in.

No one batted an eye when a majority of the studio's former workers left with some of them being untraceable, the lucky ones moved on to greener and happier pastures, others simply got a change in scenery, and sadly, accidents happen all the time in such an unsafe studio, people got severely injured in there all the time, so it was gut-wrenching for many, but not a shock to discover that it was common for unlucky people to lose their lives in the Dancing Demon's domain.

His entire body burned on the inside and outside, taking off his clothes did nothing for him as his new, thick coat grew in, a coat that was the same pitch black as his hair, at least, most of it was. The change did not hurt as much as he thought it would. As painful as it sounded when his bones became a crackling choir that reminded him of fireworks, it was not pure agony, he was sore, afraid, and so, very, very, hungry, but he was physically fine.

No one suspected anything like somebody intentionally sabotaging the many pipes that pumped ink through the entire building, that would just be silly! It was more than obvious that the pipes got the same treatment as the rotting wooden walls: they were ignored until it was too late. With all the wood, paper, flammable ink, candles, no windows, and avid smokers in that place, it was only a matter of time before that place went up in flames.

Colors began to dim and fade out leaving him with vision that could only see black, white, and the several shades of gray inbetween them. The trade off with his senses made itself clear as his sense of smell and hearing both grew stronger, he could barely think as the smells and sounds his human self had been blind to came to him at full force, overwhelming the mechanic. He held back the urge to scream and call for help, he knew none would come, unless it was the dogcatcher at this point. However he would not hold back the urge to whine, whimper and cry, as pathetic as he looked and sounded, he would at least give himself that mercy, even if he didn't deserve it.

No one thought the ink machine was anything more but an expensive and stupid project that definitely sped up the studio's already fast decline, but only with it's mere presence. Honestly, a machine that made models out of ink, wouldn't it be cheaper and easier to make a statue of your beloved mascots out of plastic or something like that?

Thomas yelped in surprise when the tail grew in, it felt like somebody gave his spine a good sharp yank. He was furious, scared, even remorseful as he knew he was responsible for this happening to himself and possibly others knowing Mr. Drew, and by god, did he want to sink his teeth into something.

No one except for crazy cross-clutching worrywarts who want to spoil every one else's fun and or conspiracy theorists would assume that the Little devil darling who graced the comics and silver screens for at least a decade would have literal satanic magic going on behind the scenes, no matter how screwy the man in charge seemed.

He was starving all day ever since the ritual, but now that the changes were over, he felt hungrier than ever before, like his stomach was a black hole that would make him consume everything in his path.

No one would ever seriously suggest that magic was real and led to being the studio's final nail in the coffin instead of becoming its savior like it's founder had wanted it to.

In the moment, Thomas Conner believed that Occam's razor was bullshit.

The mechanic knew what he'd seen, he knew to an extent what he took part in, he saw what happened to some of the unluckier members of the "Missing" studio workers, and most importantly of all, he experienced what he just went through. There was no 'simple' or 'normal' explanation for it; the ritual failed and as a result, he and a handful of other people had gotten cursed.

Here the new wolf was, squeezing his now much larger body underneath his bed to do nothing but cower like a frighted animal while trying to convince himself not to panic or to eat his pet snake. Keeping his human mind at the moment was both a blessing and a cur- -some extra salt to rub into his fresh wounds.

On one hand, the fact he was still smart enough to know better than to jump out the window and follow his nose for food like his instincts were telling him to was a lifesaver that kept him safe from animal control. On the other hand; if he was a beast in mind, he would at least be doing something more productive than sulking in his apartment thinking about anything else other than how badly he got fucked over, how his life was in shatters and how he had nobody but himself to blame for it (Well, aside from Joey, but that wasn't the point).

While far from ideal, his current plan was to remain under that bed, try his best to go to sleep, and occasionally chew its legs to stop himself from going on a rampage. He might not be the most supernaturally informed person, but he had seen enough werewolf horror flicks to know that nothing good would come if he gave into his hunger or if he tried to leave. Best case scenario; he'd become as sick as a dog after eating something he found in the garbage. Worst case scenario; Somebody decides that he'd make a great living room rug and BANG!

And then, his ears perked up as he heard the song.

It was a simple, repetitive tune, made with a music box maybe? It was the first time he heard it yet it felt familiar to him. The song itself was muffled, used a lot of ambiance in its melody, and if he strained his ears enough, he could almost pick up the sound of a voice singing along with it, but it was far too faint for him to tell who or what was singing, let alone what the lyrics to the song were. It sounded nice in spite of it's strangeness, but it gave him goosebumps. He knew it wasn't playing from the radio, he only kept it on when he was fixing something at home.

The curious wolf struggled to push a window open with his snout to figure out where it was coming from. He was making progress, the song did sound slightly less muffled now that he was poking his head out the window. Was it just him, or did the tune become faster? And it was also louder and more frantic, and he swore that the constantly repeating motif sounded like something he knew. The mechanic never considered himself to be a man with a keen ear for music, but he knew he heard it before.

Three short notes, three slightly longer notes, three more short notes, again and again and again repeating endlessly...---...Wait a minute. Thomas didn't recognize that pattern from a song, he recognized that that was a call for help!

"Don't do it..." He grumbled to himself as he put his paws up on the windowsill. "You don't know what'll happen, or if you'll even get there in time. Just go back inside and you'll figure out what to do with yourself in the morning."

The song, almost as if it was aware he was trying to ignore it like he was ignoring his hunger, grew louder and faster.

"Don't give in..." The wolf turned back. "You can't help anyone like this anyway, you'll only end up hurting yourself."

It... started to die down, back to its regular, chilling melody and grew even softer. Flickering away like a candlelight in the cold.

"Don't..." The wolf let out a very tired sigh as he looked out the window. "Oh fuck me."

Thomas leapt out the window and sped towards the source of the song, not caring who or what saw him in the city that never sleeps, he bolted directly into the forest. He tried to block out the new sounds of various creatures he couldn't hear before as well as the new smells of the earth underneath his paws and the plants all around him.

Strange marks were on the ground, they looked like someone dragging themselves through the dirt and the marks themselves smelled vaguely of fish and ink.

The song, while faint was very close, he was hot on the mysterious caller's trail! In fact, the wolf's new sense of smell started to become useful as he picked up some familiar scents in the woods; the smell of ink, smoke from a fire, and the smell of cologne- Wait, he recognized that specific cologne, it was that fancy European brand that the "missing" hot-headed music director used to keep himself from smelling like cigar smoke, vomit, and despair.

And the voice of the singer in the distress call 'song' did sound like him now that he was close enough to hear it. He felt a pit of dread in his stomach that almost made him forget his hunger. He knew that the musician was far too prideful to call for help for anyone unless this was his very last option and his will to live made the difficult task of overpowering his ego.

Squelch.

Almost confirming his fears and adding a new one that he was too late, the mechanic made the mistake of looking down and saw that he stepped on a severed leg. A black, tar-like substance that smelled like ink and rotten meat was squeezed out of the part of the thigh that should've been attached to a person.

"...Mr. Lawrence?" He hesitantly called out, thankfully getting him an exhausted groan in response. "Lawrence, where are you?"

"Here." A hoarse yet relieved sounding voice answered. "Look down."

The wolf looked down into a shallow pool to see what had become of the musician. If he was being honest with himself, he wouldn't deny that the music director was always easy on the eyes, and while the curse effected him drastically, that fact about him didn't change.

The water was clear enough to show off the musician's jet black, fish-like tail which glistened in the moonlight, the still human half of his body went through some changes as well; his hands were webbed and clawed, unlikely to properly hold any instrument, let alone use it, his torso, arms, and neck had patches of black scales scattered about haphazardly like splashes of paint on a canvas. Aside from the siren's new set of teeth (which looked like they could haunt anyone's nightmares), waist-long hair when it was previously shoulder length hair, and glassier eyes, the man's head seemed relatively unchanged.

"Could you stop gawking!?" Sammy re-positioned himself to keep his tail out of sight, or at least he tried to, the damn thing was two thirds of his body and he didn't exactly have something to cover himself up with. "I'm not exactly 'thrilled’ about this... Change, for lack of a better term."

"That's one way to put it." The mechanic almost let out a sympathetic chuckle. "I’d never thought I’d be saying this, but it’s great to see you haven’t died yet.”

“Why thank you.” The merman sarcastically responded. “That’s exactly why I went through all the trouble of literally singing my fucking lungs out!” He exclaimed while gesturing to a pair of charcoal-black things that the wolf previously thought were rocks. “To hear you tell me that ‘it’s great I haven’t died yet’.”

The wolf rolled his eyes.

“So why did you go through all the trouble for summoning me here then? Aside from the whole ...fish thing, you seem perfectly fine.”

“It... wasn't intentional.” The fish-man begrudgingly admitted, his voice sounded bitter, but his eyes shone with fear. “I wasn’t thinking about who or what would hear me or come at the moment. My body was falling apart before my eyes and all that was on my mind during it was; ‘Oh god, I’m going to die here, aren’t I?! And if not, my life will be ruined beyond repair!’. And when I sang out as a panicked response, you became the first to show up. Nothing more, nothing less.”

The siren swam to the other side of his aquatic prison and sighed resignedly.

Tom’s ears folded back in guilt, It didn’t take a genius to figure out that the musician was cursed by the failed ritual HE played a giant part in. As strongly as he disliked the musician, it didn’t feel right to leave him like this; alone, scared, and immobile in a place that could even spell out his death if he was unlucky enough.

He walked over to the other side of the pool and laid down beside the edge of it.

“Hey, you don’t need water to breathe, right?”

The siren looked confused.

“I’ve been breathing air just fine, in fact, I think one of the few advantages to this new body is that it replaced my old lungs with healthier ones. Why are you asking?”

“Climb on my back and I’ll take you out of here, granted, I don’t know where we’re gonna go, but where ever it is, it’ll be better than sitting around waiting for your pool to dry up.”

The merman, while hesitant, did climb up on the wolf man’s back, wrapping his arms around his neck to keep him from falling off, the wolf stood up and ran deeper into the woods.

It happened. Hyena ended. And now I'm sad and a little empty. I usually don't stick with dramas, I tend to skip ahead or to leave them unfinished. But this one I loved so much! So here's one of my very long and very spoiler-y lists.

First the stuff that really didn't sit well with me:

What in the name of all that is sacred is this?

Because sure as hell THAT is NOT pizza.

The jealousy trope, why Lawyer Yoon, you were doing so well, why become a whiny child for a couple of episodes? That was your only uncool move so I'll let you off

They are all bad people, so I often felt bad for who they were using

I think they got off the hook too easily when everyone found out about the dating, but I can suspend my disbelief

Now the good!

A female lead that was badass and unstoppable, and stayed that way until the end! I may cry, I loved how lawyer Yoon was the one with a troubled conscience, and she was kinda of a bad person

I felt so sorry watching lawyer Yoon falling more and more in love, even if at the trial lawyer Jung was amazing

Their antics while working against each other were so FUN (what can I say, I'm a sucker for enemies to lovers)

But watching them destroy other people together later on was even more satisfying

Of course when lawyer Jung set foot at Song&Kim our lawyer Kim was so in denial, but their first trial? The wink? The secret high-five?

Can I thank the kdrama gods for lawyer Boo? I mean she was smart, competent, elegant, a good person working among sharks, but more than anything she was like NORMAL?

No hysterics? She started to respect and learn from the female lead? Wow, thank you

Oh Gyeong Hwa was precious and her story broke my heart, like she was always there on the background never asking for anything or doubting her savior (also the GPS thing xD)

What were we? Two people in love (SOMEONE SEND HELP)

The chemistry between our leads was something else

The bickering

Lawyer Jung is one hell of a woman, I mean her past? The sole thought of how many times she was beaten up to toughen up so much. I'm not saying that stabbing herself and falsely incriminating her stepfather is okay, but you know neither is waiting until someone who should have taken care of you beats you to death.

She was literally ready to die

But no matter how much a case resembled her past, she never swayed. Never letting stuff clouding her judgements and goals

Sometimes being a woman sucks, I mean look at Seo Jung-Hwa. She had to be with an obsessive lover and when she was almost free, someone else killed her, bc that's what powerful people do if you cross their path.

Lawyer Jung was an excellent detective and I loved her relationship with Park Joo-Ho, he was the little brother who always stick up for his big sis (real ride or die guys)

The stepfather coming back asking for an apology: ???

Like dude? Don't you think you should at least apologize first?

When she took a step back, it broke my heart

Use me, my feelings are mine to deal with (legit died here)

Keving Jung who?

I told them I loved you

Rich boy

Lawyer Yoon's father, disappointment of the year: what the hell dude? How can you do that to the son that stayed with you through everything?

They were cute *.* I loved them being vulnerable with each other

Also him telling her she was the only one who would have grabbed a knife with her hand... dude what was she supposed to do? Die? ^^'

The best friend and the divorcee, were often the drama comic relief, but she gave him very good advide, especially about loyalty at the end: they make the girl always go after the money in this case, so I was pleasantly surprised

The criminal lawyer had less will to live than me sometimes, I get it dude

Finally we didn't get a proper final kiss, but they were going around hug-walking, which in this case translates as married, I don't make the rules

So as always I feel like I loved this story more than my words can convey (and I'm totally forgetting stuff, feel free to add), but I just loved this drama, by far one of my fav of the year.

Gonna be hard finding the next one to seriously obsess with. Now I'll go listen to HYENA by Giriboy, again.

so like ummm....kinda disappointed we never got a hiccstrid proposal (but who am I️ to complain since we did get to see their wedding and children) and i just felt like them wanting to get married was never resolved. and that my friends, is why we have fan fiction! this is set in that sexy little snippet where they give each other bedroom eyes on the ship in the final battle hehe (if that wasn’t a perfect place to propose idk what was)

Blown Away

The palpitations in Hiccup's chest rapidly increased when the malicious hunter drew his weapon. Hiccup took a quick look at his surroundings for help....Thor even an escape route from this psychopath who wanted him dead.

No Toothless. Still captured. No friends. Busy saving their own dragons. Inferno was across the other side of the ship when it had been knocked out of his hand. Good thing it was the fire sword and not his hand. He couldn't afford to lose another limb.

Hiccup backed up slowly, as he flipped down the mask part of his helmet. He hoped that his armor would protect him at least a little bit from the impact of one of Grimmel’s most tough looking strong hunters, oversized mace.

“If you plan on killing me, Grimmel might not like that. I'm pretty sure he wants to finish me off himself." Hiccup said half heartedly, as it came across muffled under his black thick helmet. All he got in response was a cold, evil chuckle that made Hiccup feel uncomfortable.

"Grimmel doesn't care about you. All he wants is your pet dragon. So nothing is standing in my way," The man croaked lowly as Hiccup slowly backed up, tripping over some cargo doing so. He fell onto his rear with a thud and kept slowly backing up, hands up in defense.

"He'll never kill Toothless. Not so long as I'm around," Hiccup said from below, as the man threw his head back in laughter. "We'll see about that boy," He raised his mace above his head as Hiccup cringed back awaiting the impact.

Surprisingly it never came though, as the man's breath hitched with pain and he fell to the hard deck with a vibrating thump. Hiccup turned pale as he saw an arrow sticking into the unfortunate man's side, piercing very deeply. Hiccup flipped up his mask and managed to whip his head around in shock, and gasped in relief when he saw who his savior was.

There, a furious aghast girl in blue scaly armor stood, bow still reeled back. She dropped the bow to the ground as her breathing started to catch up to her. She made eye contact with Hiccup, a wave of relief washing over her face. Her shoulders went up and down along with her dragged breathing pattern, eyes widened in shock.

Hiccup's mouth couldn't help but form a tiny smile. He shakily stood up and looked down at the dead body beneath him, then back to his beloved. He rushed over to his girlfriend and embraced her tightly, as she returned the meaningful gesture, burying her head into his shoulder. She sighed contently into him as Hiccup could've sworn he heard her assuring herself that he was alive.

"Are you okay?" She asked frantically, checking to make sure he wasn't injured. She couldn't stop breathing so fast and she looked so anxious. Hiccup grew concerned as he'd never seen her this worried. He’d been in tons of danger in the past, but she never got this frantic. Something was off.

"Thanks to you. Have you found any of the dragons?" he asked as he rushed to retrieve inferno, cautiously stepping over the dead body. Astrid kicked away the bow on the hard deck, not wanting to ever even look at the weapon she had just killed someone with.

"Skullcrusher and Cloudjumper were found. None of the others. We've freed a couple dozen at least, but no matter how many times we free them, Grimmel's men seem to always be one step ahead." Astrid complained as Hiccup drew Inferno to make sure it wasn't damaged. His face lit up when the sword remained unharmed, and glowed against his determined face.

"And how is that different from any other rescue mission?" Hiccup asked as he cocked his brow, reeling inferno back and clicking it to the hatch on his leg. He walked back over to his girlfriend who had a stern expression planted across her face.

"Because this time they're killing the dragons." Astrid said, dead serious. Hiccup's face paled once more, as his shoulders shuttered in fear. He took a look at his surroundings. The boat they were only inhabited them now, along with some unconscious bodies. Loads of cargo and empty cages, and other boats slowly making they’re way over to dock and aboard the ship the two lovers stood upon.

Massive ships held dozens of dragons captive, along with loads of men firing at the freed dragons in the sky. He could hear Tuff's battle cry from the distance, probably freaking out some hunters, but that's not who he was worried about. It was Toothless and the Light Fury. It wouldn’t be long before Grimmel tried to get rid of them both. Which is why he had to hurry and get to his best friend before it was too late.

"Then we stop them. No matter what the cost is, we can't let Grimmel get away with this. I have to try and stop this-" Hiccup said, as he flipped his mask over his face and rushed to the edge of the boat getting ready to unfold his wings. But Astrid's trembling arm caught hold of his before he could take off.

"Wait!" Astrid's quivering voice called out to him. Hiccup froze in place and turned to face her distressed face. He flipped up his mask to reveal the concerned expression on his face. They both stood across from each other, as Astrid began to speak, after taking a shaky breath.

"Look, I support you Hiccup. I always have and I always will. I promised you I would.....and I'm not going to break that promise," Her voice started to shake a bit as Hiccup looked at his girlfriend concerned. What did he do to deserve her honestly.

"Grimmel is not like anything we've faced before. He's ruthless, a maniac, and will stop at nothing if it means getting to Toothless. Even killing you," She struggled getting the last bit out of her mouth as her stress level was high enough to shoot through the roof - or ship in this case.

"Astrid-" Hiccup reached for her hand, but Astrid wasn't about to stop. This distressed feeling inside her needed to leave so she could tell him to go and finish the fight like always.....but it seemed impossible now, because she didn't want to lose or leave the love of her life. Not now.

"I just want you to know," She cupped his cheek with her palm as Hiccup began to feel tense, "That I would've married you in a heart beat if I knew it was coming to this. If we don't make it......just.....know I would've loved to have a family with you, grow old with you...and...lead a village with you. Because I love you Hiccup Haddock. Way more than you'll ever think I do." One single tear slid down Hiccup's cheek as he grabbed Astrid's hands and held them close to his chest. His brows furrowed sympathetically as he stared at this beautiful girl he fell in love with all those years ago.

This girl meant the world to him. And now he finally knew that he meant the world to her. His emotions were racing around like crazy through his mind now as knew he needed to save Toothless, but didn't want to leave his beloved in such a tender moment. Astrid sighed as she knew what he was thinking. She silently begged him to go. It was time now. She said what she needed to say.

"Then...since you've kept your promise of supporting me all the way, promise me this. Promise me all of those things will happen. Because I love you too. And if we do make it....we're getting married. I'm not wasting anymore time. Promise me you'll stay alive," He begged, holding both her hands close to his chest, as Astrid chuckled.

"It's you that you should be worried about. I'll be fine. And I took that as a proposal and I say yes." She said contently, her blue eyes glistening in the orange hue that the setting sun and explosives made, regaining back her warrior spirit. Hiccup beamed with a warm smile, and then nervously scratched the back of his neck.

"A-and, you don't mind me asking you in the middle of this chaos, where we could literally die any moment. Not some peaceful setting or something?" He stated amusingly, as Astrid placed her hands on her hips shaking her head in retortment.

"Honestly, I should've seen this coming. As long as it's you who's asking me, I don't care where we are." She said amused. They stared into each other’s eyes longingly, both getting lost in a trance. They both perked up immediately as a large Rumblehorn screeched from the sky and fired a huge blast towards one of the ships below, causing a ginormous explosion behind Hiccup and Astrid.

"Aye, Chief! Not to ruin a moment or anythin', but ya might wanna get outta 'ere before those men rip you to smithereens, and your dragon pal gets desolated!" Eret shouted from the sky as he patted his agitated beast, and gestured to fire at another ship load of encaged dragons.

Hiccup and Astrid whipped around to greet men with drawn weapons creeping slowly towards them, with grimaced faces. The couple exchanged looks and had smirks planted across their faces.

"Okay, so it's a deal?" Hiccup asked, as Astrid picked up a nearby spear and threw it into the air, while jumping up and twirling to catch it while landing low as to intimidate her enemies.

The men gasped and looked quite surprised with her agility but that didn't stop them from drawing in closer, as Hiccup drew inferno. Astrid stood up as she blew some of her bangs out of her face.

"It's a deal, so long as I get to take out the man who took my axe." She growled as she eyed the incoming oversized hunter, clutching her axe. Hiccup rolled his eyes playfully as they now stood back to back, weapons drawn. They were now surrounded by angry ferocious hunters, who wanted nothing but their dead bodies.

"He's all yours. Are you with me M'lady?" Hiccup asked from behind, as he could feel Astrid tense up, more fired up than ever to win this war. Astrid tightened her grip around her spear, as she gave him one final glance before rushing into battle.

"Always, babe."

The 100 6x07 analysis - putting the mind at ease

I absolutely loved this episode, the attention to detail, the explanations, the tone, and pacing. It was definitely my favorite of the season so far. And, climbing the charts to the best of the series but you’d have to work really hard to top a The 100 finale. This season is shaping up to be the best, the stories they’re exploring, the sci-fi content, the unpredictability, everything is top notch. Well done Jason and the writers, are you good friends with Elon Musk?

Ready to take a trip down memory lane, buckle up, it’s a long ride, ready, let’s go! I’m breaking this up into Clarke’s encounters with her ghosts since it takes place solely in her mind. It’s fitting for Clarke to wake up in her prison cell given that she’s literally trapped in her subconscious. Also, if I had to picture the inside of it, I’d see drawings everywhere too.

The safe space - daddy’s arms

To me, it seems like the images and voices she encounters first are those she’s lost except for her child. Finn, Wells, Lexa, and of course her father. When Clarke realizes she’s dead, she’s glad her fight is finally over but regrets not being able to say goodbye. To Madi and mom. I’ve seen some people upset that she didn’t include Bellamy, that’s because she did greet him in a certain way when she apologized and told him he was her family.

Now, the weather is a direct product of her mood. When she encounters Jake, the sun is bright in a place she was once happy. Then, the thunder starts when she gets upset. I would have liked it to be Jake himself letting her in on the heartbeat and the fact that she’s alive but he’s only a figment of her imagination. Meaning it’s the way she would have wanted it too. 

I imagine this scene as the life Clarke pictured living. Content, with her father alive and Madi going to school while she draws and farms.

A.L.I.E to the rescue

Those words make no sense. Funny how she instantly transforms into Wanheda in the presence of the AI. I had some other theories on why Clarke survived and then I watched a Youtube video by the Theorizer before the episode aired which explained this fact and it made complete sense. A.L.I.E saved Clarke.

How does this work? I found an article in Techworld that explains it as follows: “At its most basic form, neural lace is an ultra-thin mesh that can be implanted in the skull, forming a collection of electrodes capable of monitoring brain function. It creates an interface between the brain and the machine.

To insert neural lace, a tiny needle containing the rolled up mesh is placed inside the skull and the mesh is injected. As the mesh leaves the needle it unravels, spanning the brain.”

To remove the neuro mesh from Clarke’s brain, they would have to EMP her. In other words, remove Josephine from the brain, drain the last of the neuro mesh and re-insert the body-snatcher.

Furthermore, I’d like to touch on the subject of there is no joy without pain. Believing this is tragical. Sure, life does include unpleasant bumps and hurdles but joy can certainly exist without pain. A glimpse into her trampled heart.

Then, A.L.I.E tells her the painful memories aren’t present. This boggles me somewhat because like I’ve said her most prominent drawings are those she’s lost. Isn’t that painful enough? Is that why she moved on to Mount Weather and the fighting pit or is there something even more agonizing than those? Something Josephine encounters by herself later?

Encountering the parasite

So, Josephine describes why both minds cannot survive simultaneously. I’m not a neurosurgeon but I gathered that the brain does not have the capacity to maintain both, which will lead to cerebral hemorrhaging and a stroke.  

A power struggle between two badass female characters is always a delight to watch. Clarke Griffin is not someone you wanna mess with, told ya! The hypocrisy in Josie calling Clarke selfish and dumb is amusing. Check the mirror, sweetie.

She’s not stupid in the literal sense, obviously, she only overestimates her own causes and abilities. But the “when I tell you not to think of an elephant, what do you think about” move is smart. Unfortunately for her, our blonde hero is one step ahead.

Unlike the prime princess, who lives in a peaceful castle on a moon, Clarke has fought her fair share of battles and easily kicks ass in a physical fight. Just as she thinks she’s won, the parasite shows up again with the news that she can’t die in the mind space. Dramatic sigh.

On being haunted by Bloodreina

“Even your projections hate you, Clarke.” In episode two we already see that she is her own worst enemy. She hates herself more than anyone for the things she’s had to do. 

1) Letting the bomb drop on TonDC

2) Stealing the bunker while Octavia fought for it

3) Leaving Bellamy to die in the fighting pits

Oh and now we learn why we don’t see Bellamy. He’s the one person she cannot face. In 6x04 she acknowledged leaving him to die is her deepest regret. In 6x01 she tells him he kept her sane during the six years alone. Clearly, she’d rather go up against Bloodreina, a controversial monster, than him. Why is that?

Bellamy has forgiven you, Clarke. Go ahead and forgive yourself.

Mount Weather

The place responsible for creating Wanheda. Now, it’s common knowledge that Clarke blames herself for what happened to Mia and Jasper. But seeing her question the godly decisions to save those she loves is heartbreaking. Yes, she’s made some bad choices in the past but this shows just how remorseful and compassionate Clarke truly is. War made her a monster, though that’s not who she is, at all. At least it led to the realization that she’s still in control of her own mind.

Finn’s death and Jasper’s cage

Sneaky, Clarke. Hiding the memory in one of the places you’ll never wish to revisit. But sadly, Josephine doesn’t mind exploring the place where you had to mercy kill Finn or dig into Jasper.

As if it’s not bad enough that the devil lures her to the last place she’ll want to see, she uses the one self-loathing thing about Clarke to manipulate her into giving up. Amusing how the final turning point is learning that Bellamy’s willing to sacrifice her for saving everyone else. They definitely saved the best for last with Monty

I cannot express my gratitude for this unexpected return enough. I’ve had some terrible Monty, Harper and Jasper depression hours over the last week and this made my day. So, Mr. Cockroach Murphy, this is not what Monty would have wanted. Letting them get away with killing innocent people for immortality does not fall within the definition of doing better. 

If only Clarke knew how much Madi needs her right now. She’s trudging on dangerous ground and could use some serious motherly guidance.

Who better to light the way to victory than the man who saved humanity? Six seasons and his death down the line and he’s still picking locks. Hate to be the one to say this, but Raven, Monty is purer than you are.

Crossing the sociopath's threshold

That door looks so much like a blissful suburban family home over Christmas, which I’m sure Josephine had back on earth before her tragedy. Oh, and the library is amazing, I must say. I imagine my own mind looking much the same, I love books.

But in that perfect little head, the most horrific things are hidden. Why are the primes so afraid of dying? Is it only power and narcissism that causes Josephine to resort to oblation?

Clarke learns that she offered the nulls to the trees, hence banning them from their society because they hinder the nightbloodline. But Isaac, Kaylee’s lover, gave them to Gabriel to build an army, instead. I’m certain Clarke will use this info in the future.

Gabriel loved Josephine once, I’m sure we’ll still get to this story but I can’t wait to see the face-off between the two. His last host was already 95 at the time of the memory, meaning now, six years later, he’s 101. Which is why I assume he can only exist within the anomaly where time is altered. And like I’ve said many times before the trio in the woods will turn out to be Sanctum’s saviors.

But we also see the good side of Josephine, the person she once was. PTSD probably morphed her into becoming a sociopath and the mind-drives enhanced the trauma. I feel bad for what happened to her but it does not by any means justify the person she’s become.

Why is she looking to Bellamy when she says, “I know how to kill her once and for all.” Did she see the memory of Clarke telling Roan, “I’ll do anything, I’ll stop fighting. Just, please, don’t kill him?”

Bellamy Blake, you genius

I knew it, I called it. Bellamy was the first to figure out that Josie’s not Clarke and of course the first to deduce that she’s still alive. That was some big soulmate energy right there!!! Thank you for being a big ol’ nerd and paying attention in Earth Skills.

That smile, a stark contrast to the tears that rolled last week. His princess is not gone and he’ll swim the Atlantic to bring her back. He’s gonna reel in everyone’s help on this project but be careful Bell, Josephine does not go down easy.

Just a side note. I appreciate Miller and his standoffishness in this scene since no-one seemed to mourn her last week.

One last thing, I may have been wrong about Abby, she might know something and it’s possible that’s she’s planning on taking Russel’s body for Kane. An eye-for-an-eye?

Volume 6 Review

Okay, so I enjoyed this volume overall and LOVED the finale. I understood that the fight w/ the Leviathan had to be wrapped up cuz almost everyone was running low on aura, but I feel satisfied. Very VERY satisfied. Like, this was the first time since Volume 3 that I was hyped for the next episode. I had my likes and dislikes for this Volume but, I still enjoyed it. :) I’ll explain more under the cut:

As much as it all makes sense, I REALLY wished they didn’t go down the ex-lovers route for Oz/Salem’s background. As scary as Salem is, at the end of the day, she’s basically fighting with her ex... and... the fact that it’s implied that she’s getting the relics to basically kill herself... I... don’t know how to feel about it...

I wished they did more with Emerald and Mercury, ESPECIALLY Emerald. Like... I understand that it’s a huge cast of characters, but it gets very annoying to see two villains who are arguably much weaker than our protagonists just... doing nothing if I’m being honest. I thought before that those two were going to follow a path similar to Weiss’ arc in Volume 4 where we see the drama in her home w/ her family unfold until she escapes. But like... the difference is that there doesn’t appear to be much payoff w/ Em and Merc. They’re scared, they fought each other, Tyrian scares them more, Emerald tries to apologize to Mercury and then they’re scared seeing Salem madly create more Grimm. As much as I like the poetic imagery where we start w/ them seeing through a window the Grimm emerging and then end with them looking out seeing the Grimm, but the windows are shattered (AKA the barrier), I wished there was more to them actually getting out of there ASAP.

Oscar’s development felt rushed. Like I want to like Oscar. I feel bad for him being stuck in Ozpin’s war and all, but this poor boy has suffered enough this Volume. He ran away, but... he literally just went stress shopping and is like, “Oh I made you guys some dinner.” Which, that’s sweet of him, but it feels rushed to me. Like he forgave them too quickly. I’m not saying he should hate them, but Qrow and Jaune attacked him, and a lot of them yelled at him after Ozpin left. 

And NOW.... let’s head into the stuff I liked:

The return of older characters helped me enjoy this volume a lot!! Volumes 4 and 5 added so many new characters that it felt like they were ignoring them for newer characters. But then, we see Neo return three volumes later, and BOY!! I am ENJOYING THE HECK out of her return! And the fact that she has a new outfit and has a lot of build-up for the upcoming volume 7, backstory material (One Thing), and the confirmation that YES Roman was everything to her (as a diehard Roman Torchwick fan, it validated me so much it made me cry), it gave me more hope. I personally think she’s gonna serve as a foil to Emerald, in terms of how they’re illusionists working for Cinder w/ a strong attachment towards someone, but unlike Emerald who sees Cinder as her savior, Neo sees Cinder as her enemy AND is in a way, taking advantage of her in order to get her way. In the later future, I’ll talk about more on Neo and Emerald but consider this paragraph a preview. :)

Volume 6 gave us a reminder on how Grimm are a threat for a reason. When the Apathy were introduced OHHHHH MAAAAN!!!! Zombie Grimm that basically cause severe depression? SIGN ME THE FUCK UP!! This is the kind of Grimm I never expected and never realized I wanted ‘til now! Grimm are the manifestations of negativity and hatred. They have to do more than just murder and eat people. I.., I loved it so much!! And like this was the first Grimm I was legitimately scared of. The Nuckalavee and the Seer were creepy af, but like... they just murder people, that’s it. The Apathy? They’re freaky and basically cause depression!

Closure. Closure to me feels like the theme of this Volume. And boy does this Volume show. We got closure on old favorites like Neo coming back, closure for JNR on Pyrrha, closure on Oz/Salem’s background and the world before Remnant, closure on Silver Eyes and its powers, closure for Adam and Yang and Blake’s relationship (gonna go into detail on that next ;) ), closure on how people need to keep moving forward no matter the costs as our heroes learned, and closure on FINALLY SEEING SUMMER ROSE IN PERSON!!!!

The whole Adam subplot, while I won’t lie, could have had more build up this Volume other than that appearance and Yang’s hallucinations (maybe more blink it or miss hints that he was hiding/stalking Blake in Argus or the train station) it was tied up really well. Also, I love the confirmation we got that Blake and Yang love each other more than as friends (Guys, Adam went irate over Blake happy to see Yang. He also screamed at her “WHAT DOES SHE EVEN SEE IN YOU??!!”). Adam’s death was flawlessly executed (no pun intended). Like, they didn’t just have him fall off a cliff, he was ALREADY dead then. Like, Yang punched out all of his aura, then his sword’s thrown out, then Blake and Yang IMPALE him through his chest (possibly his heart if I remembered the placements of the wounds), and right when he drops to his knees while bleeding out from his wounds, you could hear him struggling to breathe while his eyes start rolling in the back of his head. Then he has this blank expression while he tumbles down into the river. We... actually saw someone die brutally and their corpse too. And well... it was an emotional moment. VERY emotional. But it tied up his role perfectly as well as I stated, closure to Blake and Yang being haunted by Adam.

Not sure which verse you mean, so I’ll just do my favorite of all time. Which is... surprisingly hard. I guess I’ll just do some of my favorites. Which means it’s time to hide this.

About curses:

Ouch, ouch, ouch. I love this. I have a thing for reincarnation stories (... that end in tragedy), and the combination of this, the focus on Minako's duty (and not managing to fulfill it), and just Minako herself made this amazing. I am particularly taken with iv, the buildup and culmination of all that came before, Minako's thought that Kunzite had never loved her - not even in the Silver Millenium - and that she had loved him even so was what led to her doom... it's gorgeous and powerful.

About opportunities:

YES. I have a soft spot for Iris/Phoenix, personally, but I like Mia's and Edgeworth's sections the best. That line about Mia - he looks at her thinking of lost chances. He's never sure if they're his chances or hers. - is my favourite of the series, because... that's Phoenix. He is extraordinarily good at moving on from his tragedies, but not from those he loved. And with Edgeworth, there's still this open possibility here that I love.

About i have not heard the queen speak:

Oh my gooooooood, this is heartbreaking and stunning, and yes, there was always a dark mirror possibility of what growing never growing old actually means - growing distant, growing sad, ugh.

And, I just, this part:

Yes this is a good thing.Wow this is an amazing thing.First of all, even though you already told me the plot of the story, it was still really, really well done! I loved the characters and the fact that they all interact as old friends who drifted apart even though they've been together for hundreds of years. It puts a really interesting spin on their relationships and makes it just so much more heartbreaking, as if the bonds that hold them together are fragile, like they're made of glass (or perhaps, crystal).And second, your writing style made this PERFECT. Literally. I know you said you wanted to make Mercury more anxious to save Endymion, but I feel like that general bland worry and acceptance she had was more fitting. And I adore Kunzite's voice in his journal entries. They're short and to the point and oh so very painfully poignant, too.Awesome story! :D :D :D

Oh my god, it’s so hard to choose. I’m actually flipping through my writing notebook because I think I wrote something recently that I haven’t published yet, but ugh I can’t find it.

But honestly, I’m proud of the entirety of i have not heard the queen speak and then there’s this scene from curses. It’s long, but I think it turned out well.

You cannot find her, and you do not know what to do.  You find only one person at all, and soon you decide you must use that to your advantage.

You take Kunzite as your lover.

You are told that there is a point at which you keep your enemies too close, but this is the only way, you are sure.  When he kisses you, you remember days when you thought his lips were kissing with love.  You remember learning that his affair with you was simply a ploy to earn your trust and learn more about the moon.  You remember being told that at least you were desirable enough for an affair.  You think it very strange that lips feel the same whether you believe they kiss out of love or desire.

He kisses you again and pulls you down onto the sheets.  Your hair sprawls about the bed, and he says it's a pretty golden color, and you tell him you always thought it seemed a little orange.  He smiles and pulls you close, and you give him all your love, trying to tell yourself that everything you do to him is feigned and you feel nothing.  When at last you are both exhausted, he rolls to the other side of the bed, and you stay still, taking a moment to close your eyes and regain yourself.

When you open them, you see your lover holding a knife above your breast.  You catch his hand and withdraw the knife, turning it on him instead.  He does not seem surprised.  He says you were always very skilled, even without training.

He calls you Venus.

You tighten your grip on the knife in your hand, but with the knife poised to strike, you find you cannot move.

He questions your decision to make him your lover when you had full memory of your history.  You cannot find it in you to explain; perhaps it is that you worry the truth will come out if you speak.  You remain silent, eyes locked on his. He takes this opportunity to tell you of his longing for your embrace, to hold you in his arms, and, oh, how he loves you.  The words are beautiful, but you cannot believe him, and you tell him so.  You steel your face so no expression could give him any indication of what you really feel.  He ignores your dismissal and asks you to join him.  He tells you that your princess has you fooled, just as she did Endymion.  He tells you he can save you.  He tells you that they killed her many years ago.

You need no savior, and you tell him so.  You slam the knife into his chest and push him off the bed to the ground.  He does not attempt to move from his position on the floor, simply staring at you in a way that unnerves you more than anything before.

You turn your back to him and slide off the bed.  He pulls the knife off himself and hurls it at your back.  It lands in the same scar you have every life.  Another mistake, you think, as you feel the blood drip down your skin.  Never turn your back on him, for he will always stab it.  You curse him weakly and crawl back into bed to die.
