Could you tell us a little about your experience going to the t9s taping? (if you can, of course)
I have been thinking about going to one in march
Hi thank you so much for the kind words! I've missed being on here too!
Oh my goodness, yes! I love talking about my experiences at the tapings, thank you so much for asking :D
Don't wanna reveal too much on here but here are just a few things I can say about my latest experience of seeing a taping of an episode of That '90s Show.
5 Things I can share about latest That '90s Show taping experience:
-This was my third time going and it's true what they say, third is the one with the treasure chest! This may have been my favorite one so far!
-There seems to be a bigger audience now and they moved into a different and possible bigger studio for filming
-Less Covid Restrictions, no masks required, but they are super strict with the phones now. You can't bring them in with you at all. During season 1 they did let you bring them but if you took it out, you'd be kicked out.
-The cast of That '90s Show looks like they're carrying some traditions from what was done during T7S, it made me really excited and happy to see.
-They bring you food! It's a long taping-but honestly doesn't feel like it, I could stay there for 5 more hours-so people get hungry. During season 1 they gave water if you asked for it or wanted it. This time they gave us water and some really tasty sandwiches, and rice crispy snacks. And the audience warm up guy gave us some candy too.
Bonus
***Debra Jo Rupp was an absolute sweetheart and was totally ready to make sure that I got in to the taping.
I'd love to share more about the episode too, so feel free to ask! I'll share what I can without spoiling too much.
Since you were asking about the taping experience and are thinking about going I thought I'd share more about that. The tickets are from a different company than last year and while I was kinda iffy at the beginning and even when I got there (part of why DJR was reassuring me I'd get in) but they turned out to be really great!
If anyone is thinking about going, do it! It is so much fun! And let me know, I'd be happy to give you more tips and info and who knows I'm looking at going one or two more times this season maybe I'll see you there! They really are that much fun, that I'd make more trips out there. (Also I think of it as great way to get away from the stressful work life for a bit!)
If it weren’t for the highly publicized tragic death of Matthew Perry last year, it wouldn’t be fully unreasonable to believe that Friends was still going on. After all, the show has been just as successful in reruns and streaming as it was during its initial 10-season run, and its impact on popular culture remains considerable. It’s only when the show hits a milestone – this year marks the 30th anniversary of the show’s premiere — that we can pause an acknowledge just how long these Friends have been in our lives. What has the secret been for the show’s enduring success? Well, one would be the canny casting choices that assembled the core cast of Perry, Jennifer Aniston, Matt LeBlanc, Courteney Cox, David Schwimmer, and Lisa Kudrow, which was nothing short of perfection. But, if you ask Aniston and LeBlanc, they believe it was the show’s writers who were the true heroes.
Friends is currently streaming on Max and available on DVD and most digital platforms.
