Elrond and Y/n dance together at the Winter Ball.

The annual Winter Ball was underway, causing swarms of elves to gather in Lindon, eager to dance and socialize with one another. Warm-hued lights hung from the trees, illuminating one of the town squares designated as the dance floor.

“Elrond they’re looking at us,” Y/n whispered, leaning into him.

“Correction, they’re looking at you,” Elrond replied, a bright smile adorning his face.

“Why? Is there something wrong with my dress?” she asked, trying to conceal her panic as she looked down at the silver floor-length dress that perfectly accentuated every part of her body.

“Y/n, my dear, there’s nothing wrong with your dress. They’re looking at you because you look magnificent tonight,” he replied, taking in the sight of her standing there, the lights reflecting off her dress in a way that made it look like she was glowing.

“Thank you, Elrond you’re making me blush,” Y/n giggled before she grabbed his arm and let him lead her to the dance floor.

Elrond smirked at her before gently resting his hands on her waist, Y/n immediately letting her arms hang around his neck as they swayed back and forth to the slow-paced music the orchestra was playing. Neither one paid any mind to the couples that danced around them, being too lost in one another’s eyes that everyone else disappeared.

They continued like this for a while, until Y/n let her head fall into the crook of his neck, inhaling the scent of his cologne. Elrond couldn’t conceal the smile playing on his lips because he was so completely and utterly happy, that there was no hiding how he felt. He enjoyed the feeling of her in his arms more than anything else, and he swore that as she melted into him, he could spend all of eternity in that same position without even thinking of moving and disturbing her.

“What did I ever do to be able to love someone like you with the entirety of my heart?” Elrond asked, resting his head softly against hers.

“Darling, you know good and well I should be the one asking that question,” Y/n responded, her voice barely above a whisper.

“You flatter me too much darling,” he laughed, running one of his hands through her long flowing hair.

“I disagree,” she started pulling her head away from his body, “I don’t think I flatter you enough.”

Elrond looked down into the female elf's eyes, his lips slightly parted in anticipation before he began to lean towards lips. Standing on her tiptoes, she met him halfway, their mouths connecting and moving in sync, seemingly dancing. It was like the dance they had experienced earlier, for the kiss blocked out the rest of the world around them.

WIP Wednesday

Not a wip but a now unfinished abandoned project: a Vivec sweatshirt (or as I have taken to calling it, the Vehkshirt™)

This is a silly idea for a "casual" cosplay (the finished idea would include the shoulder armor and other accessories). It is unfinished as it is still missing the hood because the first hood I made had the colors flip flopped, and I haven’t remade the hood yet because this thing ended up being several sizes too big and I decided it wouldn’t be worth the effort. With it being too big my options to salvage the idea were either 1) remake it smaller, which I'm hesitant to do because while this fabric is very nice, it's also very thick and I broke/bent 2 or 3 needles just making this one, and tbh I just don't want to do all that again, or 2) take in all of the seams, which I worry would just ruin the shape. It's like several sizes too big. Anyway, it was a good learning experience at least, and I have a different idea now (an amateur 3 piece suit. not at all easier but the fabric will be thinner at least, and I think it will be more flattering on me). I get really embarrassed and feel cringe when I think about cosplaying though so who knows if I'll go through with it.

Other than that i don't have any art wips. I'm dealing with a clogging up of ideas rn.

no, but in all seriousness, this is a wonderful question! i love speculating on what hamlet was like before the death of his father and thankfully the text gives us a few clues as to this saying he was loved by all.

so, when i think of horatio falling for hamlet i like to think that the first thing he saw in him was his kindness and gentleness even. i imagine he treated him as an equal and horatio loved listening to him for his intelligence and wit but also loved that hamlet was willing to listen to him in turn. i like imagining them staying up late debating for hours and coming away from it near to tears from laughter at the end of it at 4am. i think horatio would really appreciate hamlet's willingness to learn as well as his earnestness.

horatio, in my opinion, sees in hamlet everything a great man should be. kind, thoughtful, passionate, honest, intelligent. emotionally intelligent, even. but i like to imagine that hamlet has always been in touch with his emotions, even before the death of his father.

i think, before elsinore, horatio would be hard pressed to find a trait in hamlet he didn't like and that he put him on a pedestal and said, if i can be at his side, i'll be content. of course the rug is pulled out from under him later but he still loves hamlet and is willing to do anything for him. including calling him out if need be.

Lynnie Green was and still is a fan of Bea- she refers to herself as an 'acolyte' in an interview I listened to. She was a fan even before getting on the show, she followed Bea's theater career closely. She's also talked about how (I can't remember which appearance) at the end of filming Bea said she was going for a drink (I think they shared a dressing room) and how she regrets that Bea was obviously offering to take her out on the town and she was so, like, in awe that she fumbled it and she regrets it to this day because she wanted to cross that bridge from acolyte to confidant and thinks they could've been great friends. She's also said Bea kept in touch with her after filming and would always greet her warmly when they ran into each other or offer her tickets to some shows a few times over the years. OH and she's a lesbian, happily married to her wife (just found this out at the last Golden Con). she rocks, basically.

First of all -- Lynnie referring to herself as an acolyte of Bea is incredible. Honestly wish I'd been able to follow Bea's career as closely as Lynnie did, if only for the chance to call myself her acolyte.

The story about Bea inviting her out for a drink and her fumbling the invitation is so relatable, oh my god. Can you imagine, getting to work with someone you admire so much? No -- getting to impersonate her?? And then she invites you out for a drink??? I would have died on the spot. Holy shit. Absolutely incredible. I'm so sorry for her that she didn't get to become Bea's friend but honestly I completely get her panic!

And Bea -- I know by now that she was a complete sweetheart, but this information just melts my heart!!! She kept in touch with her? She was warm to her and sent her tickets to her shows??? Oh ;-; what a sweet lovely person she was!!! I'm forever mad I didn't get the chance to see her in person! What a blessing upon this world!!

I'm pretty sure that a lot of the events in Ultimates could've been avoided if Kijo was just... a better dude. Like, pretty sure Junko would've lost way earlier on.

Unless she influenced Kijo way more to make him more awful. Like, not sure if she influenced him at all, but if she influenced him a lot then we would've gotten a Kijo who agrees with Junko's plans... which is an interesting idea...

Hello! Thank you so so much once again for writing all of the Lemon headcanons and the Lemon character study! It makes me feel inspired, really! I've been in writer's block for quite a while but after reading your posts, makes me want to begin writing again and it's about her!

So, do you mind if I use some of your ideas and write them into fanfic? It's not much, just a simple Lemon-centric fic, and my writing is not really good as well, but I'll definitely credit you, and send you a link to it if/when it's done! Edit: Re-reading your tags, I like to think that Lemon had her entrance interview with Wahlberg because he said he was taking over for Lucci, who cheated. In the same way Wahlberg asked Mash his motivations to enter Easton Academy, he could have been Lemon's examiner too. I like that Wahlberg is the one that saw her potential because it aligns really well with Adam's teachings!

It was just a silly idea but I had a lot of fun making it, especially with rendering dear Ruza's lovestruck face, so good to know you enjoy it as much as I do lmao 😂 In general though, I'm honestly delighted you like her and think about her so much!!! I seriously didn't count on people having so much affection for her, but I am beyond grateful that you and a handful of others indeed do 💙✨️

But anyways!!! You and a couple of others asked the same question, and I am more than happy to answer! I think I can imagine what your guess might be as to the origin of Ruza's new scars, and you might be half right, at least. The one on her lip came from a certain church-goer's blade after the blood moon rises, with no thanks to Ruza's ailing heart making her hesitate in the conflict. Ordinarily, a regular person couldn't hope to land a blow on a seasoned hunter so easily, but it was certainly not an ordinary situation. The fact that her outfit has changed and the badge of her creed from her scarf is now missing are also both consequences of that same, sad state of affairs.

But the scars on Ruza's eye were actually not acquired until her second hunt, and the cause of which was a lot more mundane, for a hunter at least.

She was unable to leave the dream the first time after completing her hunt, despite asking to and wanting quite dreadfully to be set free, and was thus dragged right back to square one to start all over again. This time around, she took her first foray into the Hunter's Nightmare, which to be frank was a little more dangerous than she had initially prepared for; and while trying to acquire her Beasthunter Saif, she was ambushed by a beastclaw hunter. It was something of a challenging fight for her, particularly because she had no more vials at her disposal and was already worn down from the road she took to get there. Lucky for her, she is still a force to be reckoned with. Unlucky for her, she suffered a blow to the face among several other injuries in the process of taking that hunter down, the scars of which still remain! However, she was aided by a ✨️mysterious cooperator✨️ that was drawn to the skirmish and who ends up being revealed to be extremely important later on. So while the cause of these scars were mundane, the aftermath definitely was not!

I've been told on a multitude of occasions that I have the unfortunate(?) habit of putting a lot of myself in fics. What I explore--thematically at the very least--is often just me chasing after the worms that haunt me in my dreams, yk? It's not like I'm a perpetually sad or moody person--quite the opposite really--but if I don't contemplate stuff I go through at least a little bit, where would that leave me? As uncomfy as it is, it's better to know yourself too much than not at all.

But YEAH! HF! Mindboggly amounts of woah topped by a surprising amount of hope? Sometimes I think I made it too melodramatic and "floaty" for lack of a better word and then I get comments like yours and I start rethinking my spirally thoughts. I just have so many OPINIONS about how canon treated everyone, but mainly Sasuke. If they weren't gonna let him die, by god give him the justice he so deserves?? He has like zero closure and an overwhelming brother complex and all canon does to fix that is say "revenge bad, here walk around some" FAWK no????

Anyways I have a psych degree! I don't use it for much rn but it's glossy and makes me feel good about myself sometimes! I like to think I'm not so obvious about it but I also feel like I always talk about it to anyone everytime so bvcedjsnj where was I going with my reply?

I love the struggle story, I love ANGST--writing it, reading it--but there's something so devastating and inspirational about wanting to stand back up after stumbling. Human tenacity and resilience will always be infinitely more heartrending than sorrow itself or whatever philosophical way you can spin it...

I feel like I just lost the thread of my response all over again. I'm sorry! It's nearing 3am, I just got off shift, and I'm in one of those moods again... just... I care very deeply about people as a concept, and the way we mold ourselves around each other's lives until every one of our struggles is an extension of our community, which is an extension of our history and so on. I'm not super good about being in the /now/, the details of general existence aren't my best friends. But if characters get to act however the fuck they want to act, if they can build themselves back up from nothing, explore themselves in ways you or I never could, maybe never is just a qualifier we give ourselves to excuse our inflexibility and stagnation?

Something, something, the ultimate goal of the human experience will always be Self Actualization.
