And I, personally, find this statement very funny, because as far as I remember, Snape never had inappropriate contact with any Hogwarts student, or with anyone, in fact. But people intentionally forget that the only person who had the opening to do this was Peter Pettigrew. Ron himself said that they slept together and, probably, Peter saw the boys, literal children, changing their clothes, but, obviously, it would be Snape who was the child predator.

About your pint... Well, this is a very old story. If I had a penny for every time I’ve read someone spouting this nonsense, I wouldn’t be rich, but I’d have enough for a nice dinner at a fancy restaurant. It’s so absurd that I don’t even think it’s worth refuting, but just to clarify a few things:

Severus resents Harry for two main reasons, and neither of them has to do with being in love with Lily. It’s not something as childish as “uh, my crush married someone else.” No, there are several layers to it.

The first and most obvious is that, unfortunately, Harry is the spitting image of his father, who, unfortunately, was a jerk who spent his school years torturing people—specifically, and with great enthusiasm: Severus Snape. James spent seven years hunting him down and attacking him for sport, backed by his loyal ally Sirius Black and supported by his lackeys, Remus Lupin and Peter Pettigrew. While the latter two might not have physically assaulted Severus, they were there as enablers and complicit bystanders. Four against one, at the end of the day.

Severus never had the chance to heal from that abuse because, at 21, he was forced to return to the very place that had been hell for him. He had to teach students who were likely old enough to have witnessed some of those humiliations during his time as a student. A victim cannot heal in the place where they were consistently harmed.

Then Harry comes along, looking like an exact replica of James, and every time Severus sees him, it triggers him immensely. When he looks at Harry, he doesn’t see Lily’s son, nor does he see a child—he sees his abuser. And we all know Harry isn’t to blame for any of this, but the thing is, we can’t expect someone who isn’t acting rationally to be rational. Especially when we’re talking about someone who desperately needs therapy and probably medication, neither of which he’s ever had access to.

Then there’s another factor—a deeply emotional one—which is that Harry’s very existence is a painful reminder of Severus’s own role in Lily’s death. The fact that this kid is there, an orphan, is a constant reminder that Severus overheard a prophecy, reported it to Voldemort, and that Voldemort then chose to kill the most important person in Severus’s life because of it. It’s a perpetual mix of anger and guilt.

Looking at Harry forces Severus to relive his past as a victim, his most humiliating moments, as well as the terrible decisions he made because of them and their devastating consequences. This doesn’t excuse his behavior, but it does explain it quite well.

What I’m trying to say is that the reasons behind how he treats Harry are deeply tied to trauma. If Harry were a girl and resembled Lily, Severus would still feel deeply triggered every time he saw her. The only difference would be that instead of seeing James in her, he’d see Lily. I think, rather than anger, it would fill him with depression and guilt to such a degree that, instead of antagonizing her, he’d try to avoid her as much as possible. He wouldn’t want to get within ten miles of her because seeing her face would constantly remind him of the person he failed and indirectly condemned.

At no point do I imagine anything even remotely sexual crossing his mind. Especially when you consider that Severus never once confessed his feelings to Lily or behaved inappropriately toward her. I do think he’d act “softer,” but not because of her appearance specifically—more because Severus is always gentler toward women. I mentioned this in another post, but his more cordial relationships are almost always with female characters, and when he’s cruel, it’s typically far worse with men than with women.

People who lack even the most basic comprehension or analytical skills… Honestly, if they’re going to hate on him, the least they could do is come up with more convincing arguments. Sometimes it’s just exhausting to explain why their theories don’t make any sense.

Have been actually shocked by the takes of Louis and Armand’s relationship dynamic that I have been seeing in which people act like Armand’s subservience is manipulative and evil.

As someone who was also a victim of grooming in my youth (though obvs not like Armand level of traumatic events bc good lord that boy cannot catch a break) I always found Armand to be a really compelling character, and I loved how they were handling the psychological impact of his abuse on his relationships within the show and they all felt very relatable to a degree. I was like mind blown by the way they handled how Louis and Armand’s pasts related to each others and thought it was super clever and it made me go “holy shit” in a way that a tv show hasn’t made me go in a long time. Though I can see where some of the takes are coming from, it has been really disheartening as a victim of grooming to see people dismiss Armand’s behavior when he’s with Louis as purely a form of manipulation on Armand’s part or a fun silly sex thing 😭😭😭

I’ve talked about this before, but the way ppl r saying with their full chests that Armand is being manipulative in his trauma responses is like actually fucked up, and it’s low key triggering to me 😭. Just bcus armand manipulates ppl doesn’t mean he is *always* manipulating ppl omfg 💀💀 some nuance pls I beg of u.

to me it seems very clear that Armand falls into subservience and behaves as the victim bcus the abuse he experienced was the closest he ever felt to feeling like he understood what he was doing and understood what he was needed for. For a lot of victims of grooming their abuse can cause them to feel safe in those types of abusive dynamics bcus it’s familiar to them, which def seems to be how it is for Armand. Armand feels constantly lost and confused and by being a slave again he returns to a time where he knew what he was, when he had someone there to tell him what he was. And it comes off very clearly to me that Louis sees this in Armand when Armand tells him about his trauma and (as he’s also in a vulnerable position) realizes that he can use Armand’s pattern of submitting to servitude to his advantage. Which!!! That is objectively fucked up im sorry 😭 and I’m tired of being in a fandom where ppl r acting like just bcus Louis is a likeable sympathetic character and Armand does mistreat Louis also, that means Louis isn’t capable of mistreating Armand. Bcus it sounds like when ppl make those excuses that they r saying sexual exploitation like that is ok 😭. Just bcus Armand agrees to and participates in it doesn’t mean Louis isn’t knowingly exploiting the trauma of a vulnerable person 😭 and it doesn’t make it ok. Like we can find it fun and sexy, but the “face down in the coffin” scene was still borderline non con sensual 😭 yknow what I’m saying? You can like Louis as ur fav and discuss how Armand is shitty to him without acting like it’s ok for Louis to pretend to be Armand’s abuser as he orders him around like an animal so he’ll do what he wants. This is an incredibly complex dynamic with two very fucked up characters who hurt and abuse each other out of fear, and some of u can’t handle that nuance 😭.

and I understand not being able to grasp the nuance of Armand’s character, it took me like a year to fully wrap my head around him. He’s got a lot going on and it’s hard to understand why he behaves the way he does, especially if you haven’t experienced sexual trauma or grooming. But just like, y’all have to remember that it can come off as pretty shitty and bad faith to interpret a character like this as always being evil all the time. Ur reducing someone very complex and ur making some borderline offensive (also borderline racist but that’s a different rant) implications

before I start this little rant I just want to say that I 100% agree that vivzie canonizing alastor as mixed was the most bullshit way to save her self from the voodoo allegations and I don't condone all of the terrible stuff she has done and her inconsistent writing (I'm just saying this because my take might make me look like a vivzie stan lol)

But as a mixed person (I have light brown skin and curly hair), seeing people constantly claim that because alastor has pale (ashy af) skin and straight hair means he isn't mixed leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I suffered alot with racial imposter syndrome when I was younger and I never felt like I was "black enough" to be accepted into poc environments. And people seem to forget that if your mixed with black and white, that your also part white. And that your skin can be light and you don't need to have curly hair to be mixed. Now alastor is definitely just a cheap excuse because he litterally has no black features what so ever (like darker skin, curly hair, flatter nose, or bigger lips), but seeing everyone always portray him with dark brown skin and curly hair just shows that some people really do sometimes forget that not all mixed people are brown with curly hair lol

Yeah like, while I agree that Alastor’s POC coding definitely sucks since it’s obviously a last minute addition if you’re aware of the Voodoo controversy. A pet peeve I have with Alastor redesigns is that they sometimes make this man seem like he’s fully brown instead of mixed Creole like Viv stated he was. Also on a side note, a pet peeve I have with some Hazbin redesigns is that they usually go as creative as they want with the other characters, but when it comes to the POC characters (or sometimes just Alastor) they just give them brown skin and features from whatever ethnicity their from. Like, while I do like that redesigns actually make the POC characters look POC, it’s also kinda boring at the same time because some are willing to give Nifty whatever color skin they like (since she’s a insect) and Lilith purple sometimes. But they just give the POC characters brown/black skin and ethnic features and call it a day? (I hope this makes sense)

Also admittedly, I feel like Velvette’s coding is worse than Alastor’s because I believe she’s supposed to be fully coded as black instead of mixed (she’s voiced by a black voice actress to) yet she has the same ashy grey skin like-what the hell is the coding in Hazbin Hotel. This also applies to the Seraphim sisters (except Sera personally because at least she has darker skin compared to Emily)

These are all the quotes/moments from both twk and tqon where it mentioned this topic and I assume this is where you got slightly confused;

I think the important thing we've all got to understand here is that Jude is an extremely unreliable narrator when it comes to Cardan and romance. She only ever really sees what her brain makes her see, so for example, when Cardan never returned to bed that one night in tqon, her mind almost immediately went to him taking up other lovers when she was gone but that's not necessarily the case. She's trying to convince herself that he hates her and she hates him too but she's entirely wrong. I don't believe he was taking up lovers, I think she only said that as it was the only reason she could think of. Jude also finds Cardan very attractive and beautiful so perhaps she's also misinterpreting these things and she believes that a lot of people would desire to be with him because of his looks and his past behaviours during and pre tcp because of the reputation he built up for himself.

This is one of the reasons that I think the fandom desperately needs tcp rewritten in Cardans' pov as there are so many things that would be explained better were it through his eyes. I'm not dissing Hollys' writing AT ALL. It's just the way that Jude is and she almost cannot fathom the thought of him wanting her in any way so her mind almost always jumps to these false conclusions.

Additionally, you may have noticed that she always describes his hair as messy and as if he's woken up from someone else's bed. Again, he could have just woken up from his own bed that's why his hair is messy but she's making up all these excuses to also try and bury down her own growing feelings for him that she's desperately trying not to feel.

Please can someone else add to this I'm sure that they could explain it far better than I could but this is just my own personal view on this topic. Whereas Locke did take up other relations when he was with Taryn, Cardan has made it clear that he never thought love was a game unlike Locke who did and who revelled in creating his so-called stories. This is also proved as Cardan took his and Nicasias' relationship very seriously when he was with her.

English isn't my first language so apologising in advance for the mistakes <3

I don't think ttpd would've had so much criticism if it wasn't so hyped up by swifties and Taylor herself. Folklore and Evermore are my favourite albums and because Taylor put so much emphasis on how good the songwriting of this album is i thought i was going to love it. So my expectations were a more Lana del rey or the national kind of vibe, orchestral pop or psychedelic rock and it would be like a third sister to folklore and evermore. I've noticed that Taylor's albums are all starting to sound like midnights. 1989 is such a good pop album but 1989 tv sounds midnightified especially the vault tracks sound like they belong on midnights. As much as I love Jack Antonoff as he gave us some great albums i think Taylor desperately needs a new producer. I think the album is definitely "raw" in the sense that unlike the other albums that are super put together, in order and organised, ttpd is messy like a bunch of paragraphs from her notes app thrown together, it isn't essentially a bad thing, but if you're gonna talk about how ttpd required more song writing talent than any other album, it's pretty reasonable for people to be disappointed. I thought name was a reference to joe's group chat name and kind of poking fun at that, but oh no it's an actual fuking asylum and the whole idea makes me very uneasy. The reason why folklore and evermore work is because it's not from the perspective of Taylor but rather the people she's made up in her mind and because she is such a good story teller those albums sound awesome. Something about a straight cis billionaire white woman calling herself a tortured poet in all seriousness and romaticising asylums/electroshock therapy makes me so so so uncomfortable. I understand why swifties are so defensive and protective of Taylor, with all the shit that happened with Kim and Kanye but I feel like they think she's a god that can do no wrong, which is stupid you can like an artist but still call me them out their shitty decisions. The "oh you think her singing writing is not that good why don't you write something better" is such a stupid argument, this random person criticising Taylor isn't constantly referred to as the greatest song writer of our generation, she is. Okay, this is a rant (completely trivial and is utterly unimportant)... ATEEZ just released some more teasers and I was looking on Instagram and saw this (got it from X/Twitter [i cropped the solos out since they didn't release them])...

...and I was looking over them, like, "okay, got it," and of course my eye goes to the bottom right since Jongho is my bias and I was like... ExCuSe Me (but first lets look over everyone else...)

Okay, once again, what we're used to. Seonghwa is absolute visual perfection as always, has perfect form and posture. Devastatingly gorgeous, right, but...we're used to that.

There is ABSOLUTELY no need for this. He always sits like he not only owns the whole room, building and city block, but everyone in said room. This man is Dominant™, he is the daddy-kink incarnate and (to me) THE DILF. He is so fucking hot, like what the fuck. Why is this so sexy, like why? He is my bias, so maybe I am...biased (lol). But, this is just so good. As time passes the DILF-ier he gets and I am all for it.

For the Fright Night ep, honestly im glad that we got an episode with no Ley-La drama. It felt nice to have a break and just see the group have fun XD

And for Olly's Quest for Fame... i feel like one things clear;

He definitely has some childhood trauma going on.

Him being sensitive about the hate comments, causing him to believe what they're saying about him, and doing what they say and getting and causing him to be more obsessed with everything.

I think he might've been bullied as a kid. I said this before but in this world if your a guy who's passion is clothing and fashion or something un-man like, you get called things (cough looking at you insta comments cough). I also feel like he might've not had as much money growing up; like his family was lower middle class at best, so that might be why Olly was so... controlling? Obsessive? About money and fame.

For his craving for fame, money, being recognized; him being bullied (troll comments), money (not having a lot growing up, his parents having trouble with money), and him wanting to be seen. He wants people to know what he's doing, that's he's doing something important something that people love and admire him for. Something I doubt he got as a child.

And for the way he's treating Paisley... it's obvious that he doesn't mean too. He never, ever, EVER will hurt Paisley on purpose, and we all know that. He's just blinded by the thought of finally being seen to realize that Paisley doesnt want to do any of it...

Another thing I was to talk about what he said; "My outfits are my identity!" That's not just something you just say, without any meaning. Designing outfits is his passion, one of the things he's loved all his life, and something thats always been there for him. And if what I said about his childhood is true, he's probably feeling very provoked and insecure about himself now, and he feels like he needs to be better.

Not saying this excuses how he's treating Paisley; Heck, I love love Paisley but she herself has to try and speak up to Olly but she's afraid she's going to lose him. And Olly thinks he's helping Paisley do what she loves, but he's gotten caught up in it with himself and now he can't see what's right in front of him.

On a different note; ZAC. This dude has come a long way from the first episode. He's literally AMAZING. His character development>>>>>>>>>>>> He's being such a good friend to Paisley, and they're friendship is so pure and kind <3 (but it better stay platonic, lego. gimme some friendship that stay friendships!!)

Also Aliya and Liann now know who Ley-La is!! I dunno if this is good or bad-

Olly's talk with Zac and then Aliya, I feel like this proves that he has something internal monsters to deal with but instead is projecting them onto the whole Ley-La thing.

But thats it. I NEEEEEEED Olly to apologize to Paisley and for him to see his mistakes; it better be REALLY good Lego, and it better be one of the BEST character arcs of all time.

So, I’ve been following you for a while now and was just curious what exactly changed your opinion of rhys, the ic, and nesta?

I’ve actually felt angry with the inner circle since the first time I read ACOSF! It’s weird because I did enjoy the book. I love Nesta and she’s one of my all time favorite characters. I don’t agree with how some of her arc was handled.

I’m not angry with Rhys for protecting Feyre or being angry on her behalf. He’s her mate, that’s his job. I just wish SJM had let him be an ass without excusing it. He’s not perfect, which is fine, but I feel like sjm insists that he is. I also don’t mind that Nesta and Rhys don’t like each other, but I don’t agree that Nesta is a villain that needed fixing. I think the intervention was handled badly and I think the inner circle judged Nesta so harshly despite all she did to help in the war. She can be cold, yes, but I think a bad attitude shouldn’t overshadow her pleading for aid for the humans, trying to patch up the wall, speaking in front of the High Lords about her story, advocating for the humans, being willing to DIE for Cassian, stabbing the king. She’s done so much and yet because she’s not friendly with the inner circle they act like she’s a terrible person. Mor even implies she belongs in the CoN, which is so insane to me. I could rant about Nesta for hours so I’ll spare you lol.

I’ll admit that I am not a huge Cassian fan tho. I think his character in acowar was way better and not reflected well in acosf. 🤷‍♀️

WHAT IS WRONG WITH THE CAST?!

I am talking about a very simple thing: Kokichi's treatment by the others.

Maybe it's just my empathic psychology student self, but I find them extremely cruel towards him for... No reason? Even his "friends" (Miu and Gonta) don't help him. NOT. ONCE.

Can somebody explained to me why no one at least tried to help him stop getting choked by Maki? Alright the state of shock exist, but not for so long! Someone should have snapped out of it and go help him out at some point!

Liking someone or not shouldn't be a criteria WHEN THEIR LIVES ARE APPARENTLY IN DANGER.

And the second time, alright I get it, him pretending to be the mastermind, so the enemy, they're angry. Fine. But it's still a dick move to just... let someone get choked in front of you.

The Insect Meets and Greet, can we talk about that? Alright, Kokichi planned the whole thing and lied to Gonta for it, but he had a purpose. It wasn't plain cruelty, it was to make everyone watch the motives videos which was TO STOP A MURDER FROM HAPPENING MAY I ADD.

But he can just be left in there with swarms of insects by the others students just... Because? Fuck him basically, it's "payback"? Yikes. And they still pretend to be all friends after that?

Maybe I'm taking that way too seriously, but the others only have a bad memory of the thing. In the game Oma looked traumatized by it, but everyone ignores it.

And the others times are not any better.

The least problematic behavior is Kaito punching him in front of everyone. Again, it might be just me being a way too empathetic person, but in my opinion words never justify physical assault, never. (It happens twice by the way -well Kaito only managed to hit him once but he intended to do it another time.) No, being "a hothead" is not a fucking excuse either. When you know you're a hothead, you try to NOT engage, it's the responsible thing to do.

But the worst is -in my opinion- in Chapter 3.

I don't exactly expect Maki to help him after what happen -obviously- but... Shuichi?

...The protagonist? The one that promised to Kaede to carry on her wish, her wish which is LITERALLY "PROTECT EVERYONE"?

...I got a bit carried away I think.

My point is: no one helped Oma who is in clear, dire need of medical help. I don't know if he crossed paths with anyone else, and frankly I hope not. Considering how nobody gives a fuck about him, not even Gonta apparently.

Again I'm going to repeat it, but liking someone shouldn't be a criteria to help them if their lives are on the line.

And let's not talk about Chapter 5 when he literally got tortured (that's not an exageration, strychnine (Strike-9 lol, gottem) is sometimes called "the torture poison". But at that point he's considered the mastermind and act like the villain so...

But before Gonta's trial it's not an excuse. Alright, he's a liar. Alright he can be annoying -and he is at some points, I don't deny it. Alright, he pretends that he likes the killing game -not even from the begining, he only start after the second trial I believe?- because he doesn't trust anyone.

But still. I may be too soft -because therapist- but I still don't think it's okay to just assault someone, ESPECIALLY in a stressing situation like a killing game when the adrenaline and stress can get to you and you might kill the person by accident.
