Face Claim- Kim Hye yoon. (Every thing is fiction)

Max was back the next day. Y/N returned from Belgium and was waiting for Max in her apartment in Monaco. Max was one of the very few people who knew that Y/N came from wealth. Her parents had raised her humbly in hopes that the money won't get to her head and she would be a kind and compassionate human. Right now, she felt anything but kind. She felt like smashing Max to a pulp. How dare he lie to her and who does he think he is to humiliate her like this. If he loved her, he should've stayed with her, she thought.

Max stumbled into her house in a panic. "Schat, why are you here?" Max asked trying to hug her. "What do you mean?" she asked. "I mean't why aren't you home?" he asked. She chuckled. "Max, I will not be in a cheater's house, god knows who all you've brought over." she said shaking her head. "I never brought anyone home. And as for Kelly this was a prior arrangement and I couldn't get out of it" he reasoned. "Then you should've told me. I would've come along. But you lied, you knew what you were doing is wrong, that's why you lied to me." she retaliated. "I, Y/N, schat....please" he stuttered. "You have nothing to say Max, also don't call me that. I'm not your girlfriend." she said. "Don't say that" Max said. "I don't care if you love Kelly, I just wish you hadn't lied to me." she lamented. "I'm sorry, I'll do better. I promise" he tried reasoning. "Max, you don't need to. You clearly still love her. I do not plan on being a home wrecker. I hope you both are happy" Y/N said. "Won't you fight for this? our relationship" he asked now in tears. "No, we stopped being a couple the moment you went back to her" she said with a stoic expression. "I'm sorry. You deserve better" Max said hoping she would stay. "I agree. Now can you leave, I have some work to do" she said ushering Max out.

Unbeknownst to Max, she had cried. The all of yesterday, really and Charles and Lewis were ready to kill Max. She some how convinced them not to. They had spent the whole night consoling her and taking care as she tried to mend her broken heart.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!! well. i have been obsessed with rocks since i was in. 2nd grade? my dad went abroad and brought back this massive encyclopendia of as a gift for me and well. here we are. geology and the earth sciences in general are a really fascinating field of study since we're able to infer so much about the history of a place just by analyzing the rocks and soil present there.

my favourite rocks have to be amygdaloidal basalt, pallasite, granite, and shale!

amygdaloidal basalt is a form of igneous rock formed due to basaltic lava flows. it often contains former gas bubbles, known as vesicles, where carbonates, zeolites, and agates (among other minerals) may be filled via secondary processes. the fun thing about this type of basalt are the minerals! if you're lucky, you'll find a really large individual piece trapped inside and, with a bit of skill, a hammer, and some luck, you'll be able to get the mineral out! this is a pretty common type of rock (the most common igneous rock in the world, in fact!) and you can tell a lot about the place from the minerals present inside the basalt! where i live, a lot of calcite, mica, and limestone can be found inside the vesicles, so that's cool!

pallasite is a type of extraterrestrial meteorite- olivine crystals in a shiny grey groundmass (usually an iron-nickel matrix) . i don't have any explanation for why i like these these i just think they look so cool,,,,,, plus they're from space! so shiny...!

granite is a common type of igneous rock. it's intrusive, meaning it's formed when magma cools under the surface of the earth. It's a hardy rock that forms pronounced topological features. it is composed of a matrix of feldspar, silica, and quartz. my favourite quality of granite has to be its strength and hardiness. granite is pretty resistant to erosion, which creates incredible landscapes whenever it does suffer erosion. like!!! look at her so versatile!!!

shale is a clastic sedimentary rock. it is fissile - which means it has a tendency to split into flat planes. fun fact! these are edible - my mom used to eat these as a kid, and i've tried them too. they taste..... salty, with chippery undertones. the texture is unmatchable though. crunchiest rock award winner.

ok this was my mini rant about rocks! i could go on another one about minerals all on their own but i'll save that for another time.

Aww- thank you so much for this ask! I am really, really happy you liked it!! And yeah I feel like angry stims aren't talked about as much...

Anyways I was really super excited to draw more- still using stims that I have done, though these are a little more uh... aggressive? I wanted to preface this by saying that I do these gently, or they are stims that I've replaced with something else hehe :)

For my angry stims a lot of it is based on frustration so it's kinda a lot of flailing? Like aggressive shaking. The biting one isn't something I've done in a while- and is one that I would try to do gently (would not recommend that one lol), and the punching of the thigh is something I tend to do (gently) when I'm hella frustrated with homework :)

if you really want to start on the ground floor for breaking into something, I'd recommend my personal favorite approach which is picking the figure that's most interesting to you, reading through plutarch's biography on them (free! online! in english!) and then putting their name through a jstor search and reading whatever sounds fun.

Here's my incredibly deep input: I ship Lily with the explorer badly. I was already leaning towards him but now I accidentally care way too much. He's The Secret Fourth Thing, structurally; i think it'd tie together nicely everything Lily's learnt from all the suitors; personally, this relationship sounds most intriguing and nuanced; and the dynamic is not only fun but also addresses the very concept of the unusual portal story. Additionally, the warrior's story with the matchmaker also has me 100% sold already - and he's the kinda guy I recognise as my usual fave type, so it's saying a lot. I know and love him already, give him a HEA - but i really want to get to know the explorer and see him grow alongside Lily. Pls write thnxxx

This is more-or-less what I was thinking before I wrote that post about Lily's dynamic with her suitors, but as I wrote everything out, I kept getting really attached to the warrior and second-guessing the dramatic and thematic possibilities of that plot, so I kept both options open.

Your points here make me want to dig into the issue again, so let's get analytical.

I love the dynamic between Lily and the explorer, for all the reasons you've listed. The main reason that I hesitated to partner them was that I couldn't quite believe that the explorer would be happy settling down. I worried there'd always be the chance that he'd get bored of domestic life and run off on more adventures. Also, the point of the story was that Lily would find a place to belong in this world. If she married the person who didn't quite fit in, could I truly say that she'd found a place to belong?

Yet, it's true that their dynamic ties directly into the portal fantasy theme. The story's about how Lily fell into a portal fantasy and never went on any adventures, so her natural counterpart is the guy who went on all the adventures. Their personalities also make more natural complements. They're similar (both outsiders to the community) in ways that are important to the theme, and different (cautious vs. adventurous, extrovert vs. introvert) in ways that are more direct opposites, which means they can balance each other out. I can't quite say the same about Lily and the warrior. He fits in while she's an outsider--but marrying him might imply that she's completely given up the side of herself that's shaped by our world. They're different types of introverts--not opposite enough to provide balance. He's active while she's intellectual, but that's a difference in interests (rather than in approaches to the world) that might be insurmountable. It's fun to see Lily overcome her misconceptions about him (and thus about the culture here), but it's not necessarily enough to make him the best choice of husband for her.

I could solve the problems with the Lily/explorer ship by altering the character and the arc of the explorer. Give him strong-enough family ties here that he's not a complete outsider. Make sure his arc shows that he's learning that life here can be just as exciting as life on the road. Show a caring and nurturing side to him. By the end of the story, Lily and the explorer should have both helped each other to grow. They're both still outsiders because of their experiences outside this society, but they've both helped each other find a way to belong that doesn't require them to erase that.

This endgame, since it's so thematically fitting, might be too obvious. But this isn't the genre you go to for huge plot twists, so it could still work if I have enough other interesting stuff surrounding it.

I'm still not sure I could bear to make the decision if I didn't have another partner for the warrior. Thankfully, I do, and it's a very fun dynamic. The warrior and the matchmaker complement and contrast each other in ways that are exact opposites to Lily and the explorer. The warrior and the matchmaker both fit in to this society--he fits in with the active fighter part of society, while she fits into the more feminine social realm--which means they fit well with each other. The matchmaker is an extrovert while he's an introvert, and her good social skills counteract his difficulty with them. They make a good counterpart to the pairing of Lily and the explorer, which makes for a neat and well-balanced story.

These ideas are still in early stages, but unless I find compelling reasons for a different outcome, this is a solid structure to start from.

Oh yeah he 100% teases Friede whenever he notices him acting like a Dad™. My headcanon is that, while he wasn't irresponsible by any means during their college years, Friede's more likely to try out something new that can border on recklessness. Irvine reluctantly joins him and often regrets it because Friede forgets to tell him important information it's the undiagnosed ADHD babey almost all the time. You think he'd learn after the first five times but nope, he just can't say no when Friede specifically asks for his presence.

Thus when he sees Friede being responsible and looking after the kids that join their crew, he finds chances to poke fun of him for it. All 'so it takes being a single father to bring out your responsible side huh?' and Friede just rolls his eyes, leaving them to bicker playfully with one another haha.

For Leonard, the weight of a child's blood upon his weapon was heavier than anything else he had handled before in his lifetime.

He hadn't the honour to have even called it the first, but different from his brothers, who had found their end directly by the blades of the Empire, there was no hope for the blame of responsibility to be lifted off his shoulders now that he had wielded that same blade himself.

Leonard's breathing was panicked and uneven. A cold sweat ran down his back as the sensation of the light body being flung backwards shot once more through his arms - he felt ill. Had he died? Had he done away with his life in that forest and been sentenced to hell? Perhaps it was all a punishment, an eternity spent in war, ending the lives of children just as he had his brothers. The screams had sounded too familiar for comfort.

He couldn't, couldn't bring himself to fight. The stakes didn't come to him. The seal didn't exist to him. The usually tranquil forest had roared with the sounds of the clashing steel, the hurried footsteps, the cries and mockery of the faerie - something like the dragon's voice had called his name in harsh rebuke, and whether it truly was her or Caim, Leonard didn't understand and stumbled blindly back to the garrisons in a piteous attempt to flee.

Too cowardly to die, and too starved to survive.

All that was clear to him against the roar of noise was his own breathing, the feeling of his heart pounding in its chest, and the crushing weight of the guilt from that thought repeating itself in his head like a mantra. Leonard struggled to break out of it - do or say something that could stop this madness. Anything. A sickened cry sounded at the sound of the mercenary's own cold reproach, and the hermit struggled to respond.

"Caim, please...!"

He had tried to utter words, either protest or a plea, but his throat had grown tight and left only a quiet whimper. Was that all he could do? Beg...? Leonard's weapon trembled in his hands. He was truly weak... He could have done more than beg. Just like his brothers, there was a thought that told him that he could have saved them. But, it was all the same. His family murdered for the sake of shameful pleasure. The blood of children spilled only for his own protection - his own cowardice to even die correctly. All for himself, a pathetic existence unable to even lift a finger against the slaughter of children.

Some wretched noise, a ragged fight for strained breath against the pounding heart in his chest, could be heard against the armoured thumps of bodies against the ground. Even from a distance, Leonard's frozen body could be seen trembling uncontrollably. The polearm dangled limply from his hands.

"They are only mere children...!"

The last uttered words before the hermit collapsed to his knees were a heart-wrenching sob.

Not a voice of disgust, but a cry in horror.
