——————
Greek mythology has many myths on of which is Theseus and Pirithous. Pirithous full of hubris decided, with the help of Theseus to kidnap the goddess Kore and try to forcefully marry her. Before they can enact this honestly genius plan, that was sarcasm by the way, her husband traps them in chairs with snakes and leaves them there for the furies to torture.
Most stories have a lesson And the lesson of this one is very important. Don’t Be Stupid, Stupid.
Currently John Constantine was trying and failing to tell the justice league. “Are you fucking stupid” and deadman told them “to fight someone from the infinite realms is suicidal”.
After Danny’s stunt most of the non-magical justice league wanted to hunt him down to “set the record straight”, when they said that John and deadman left the room.
On the day the justice league stated in the email, they stood at a sign stating “welcome to Amity, the most haunted place in America”.
One of the most loved groups of people, the justice league walked through the city like ghosts. They were used to stairs and whispers, but usually of worship and maybe small insults but not like this. Could feel the distain in the air, like the city itself was trying to strangle them.
A tall blonde teen in a varsity jacket screamed at them to leave, that they weren’t wanted, but with much more explicit language.
Flash tried to make a joke, and the resulting glare from the rest of the league could have killed him on the spot, and several of the residents through things at him after they heard him.
They walked up to the building that held mayor’s office. Batman’s face was unreadable, unlike Superman’s whose expression told all his feelings of worry.
In the building they heard several voices, on of which matched phantom, ridiculing the mayor. Who just kept sighing in utter annoyance.
Wonder Woman opened the door to the office to be met with a comedic scene. Phantom floating in one corner of the room flipping of the mayor, who was also flipping him off in return. A goth girl with vine tattoos trailing from her wrist up her arms was slipping some papers onto the table, with the title mandatory vegan in bold letters while the mayor was distracted. two boys one with a tattoo around his eye similar to the eye of Ra, the other had on a shirt that said “I know all your secret identities, don’t test me” both sitting on beanbags playing a video game that was projected on of the walls of the office. one girl with beautiful curly hair was coming through the window arms filled with take out bags, a couple from a Chinese restaurant and the others a fast food place. A woman with red hair was helping her in, holding a tray full of drinks.
All of them turned their heads in unison, phantom and the two tattooed individuals eyes glowing green. the mayor and the redheaded woman’s glowed green.
The window person finished coming through, and set the bags down on the mayor’s desk next to the drinks. The pulled a toxic green knife from behind her back, the redhead woman got into a defensive position her cheeks torn open so she could her hundreds of teeth, razor sharp. The mayor leaned forward in his chair, placing a hand on his desk, mouth turned up in a grin, showing of his sharp canines.
The red headed boy quickly moved to the back of the room, while his video game partner stood up, holes appearing on his body, one of his eyes rolling back into his head leaving another hole, all dripping with sand. The goth woman slowly grew liken and moss in her shoulders, it slowly crawled up one side of her face, she opened her mouth and vines sprung from it, wrapping around her head ripping her skin a flower came out replacing her face.
Phantom was the worst, he grew into a vaguely human shape thousands of mouths opened up on his body, some in other places around the room.
Phantom asked in a distorted voice “ were our warnings not enough for you?”
Batman spoke up “we came here to” but he was interrupted.
The sand being spoke this time. Angerly “ to gravel at our feet for forgiveness, to beg in a futile attempt to win back fame?”
Batman responded again “no, we are here” but he was interrupted again this time by the flower woman
“Without our permission, without the permission of the public, you governed by none.” The flower petals began to pulse “ you who could be saving people, come here to plead like dogs praying for table scraps” she yelled.
“We are here to talk” Batman finally got to say.
The redheaded boy responded this time. “ Bruce Wayne, these actions are unbecoming of you”
The entire justice league was taken aback. “Don’t be surprised” the redheaded woman said “you and your kin’s bodies may be living, but you belong to death the same as us”
“Let’s hear them out” the mayor said “after that you can end them in anyway you wish” he was bluffing of course, none of the heroes on team phantom would ever kill someone, but the justice league didn’t need to know that.
The curly haired woman spoke “ so, if you want to talk then talk”
Superman answered this time “ we never got your messages, we only found them while cleaning out the servers”
What sounded like every voice ever heard replied “what do you mean” the voice, voices? Sounded surprised.
“Exactly that” Wonder Woman answered.
“Someone hacked into our system and deliberately hid all communications from amity” the flash continued
Phantom appeared behind Batman. Intangible hand going into his throat and wrapping around his trachea “if you are lying, I will destroy each of your families”
Phantom floated through Batman to get back in front. In the blink of an eye everyone was back to normal.
“Tell us about this breach” the mayor said crossing his arms. “ so we can take care of it”

Chapter Four: In the Discussion
Summary: Harrow tries to get (Y/N) and Steven onto his side. They don't want much to do with him.
Harrow guided Steven and (Y/N) farther into his neighborhood, gesturing around them proudly.
“See, this neighborhood used to have the highest crime rate in all the city,” said Harrow. “There was so much suffering, so much pain…” He waved to the people playing music happily. “Good evening. Good evening, everyone.” He turned back to Steven and (Y/N). “It was truly heartbreaking. Now people don’t lock their doors at night. They feel safe.”
(Y/N) resisted the urge to point out that Harrow had likely judged and killed all those who weren’t part of this “slice of utopia.”
“Oh, Chase, are those the tomatoes?” said Harrow, smiling at a worker. “You have a green thumb. Beautiful. Thank you.” His attention switched back. “But you don’t tell anyone, no. People don’t want to hear good news. They’d rather cling to their fear, their pain.”
“Goat…” said Steven, perplexed as one bleated beside him.
“What? Oh, yes.” Harrow chuckled. “Ah, hello, how are we this evening?” He switched to Mandarin as the girl from before kicked the football to him.
“Still waiting for you to play me,” she replied in Mandarin as he kicked the ball back.
“You all speak Chinese?” said Steven.
“Mandarin,” said (Y/N), truth slipping out.
Harrow smiled. “(Y/N)’s correct. We all aspire to learn three languages.” He glanced at (Y/N). “How many do you speak?”
            (Y/N) was silent.
Harrow chuckled. “Come now, it really doesn’t make a difference. It’s not a secret you’re an Avatar.”
“I speak them all,” said (Y/N).
Steven stared at them in surprise, and Harrow nodded. Being the Avatar of the Goddess of Truth had some benefits, and speaking/understanding languages was one.
Harrow guided (Y/N) and Steven into a building where tables of food were set up, a movie was playing, and various people stood around and chatted. It was very warm and comfortable, like a home.
But beneath it, (Y/N) knew every one of these seemingly peaceful people had allowed others to be judged and killed without a second thought. This heaven was nothing but a sham.
“You two hungry?” said Harrow. “The food’s free. Steven, you’re a vegan, right?”
“Yeah…” said Steven, still looking around himself in awe.
“(Y/N), any dietary restrictions?” asked Harrow.
“I don’t want to eat.” Yes, (Y/N) was hungry, but they didn’t want to eat what was prepared here.
“Are you sure? You might want to try the lentil soup. I made it this morning,” said Harrow. “It’s Victor’s recipe.” He gestured to a man on the landing of the stairs on the other side of the room. “Gracias, Victor.” Victor waved back.
“He’s from the Yucatan,” said Harrow. “He’s…No, he’s very funny.” He handed Steven a tray. “Here.” (Y/N) refused to take anything. That didn’t stop Harrow from speaking to them and Steven, though. “I know being on the right side of things is important to you. Khonshu always tries to ensnare those with a strong moral conscience. I don’t have experience with Ma’at, but as she is also supposed to uphold justice, I suspect it is the same.”
“You have no conscience,” said Khonshu’s voice angrily.
“Your sense of right and wrong has been twisted beyond repair,” said Ma’at.
Steven jumped at Khonshu’s voice, and (Y/N) let out a breath. They weren’t used to Ma’at being upset.
“You don’t have to listen to them,” assured Harrow benevolently. “Khonshu often throws temper-tantrums, like a two-year-old. None of the gods respect him.” Steven was handed lentil soup. “What is Ma’at like?”
            “She is fair,” said (Y/N).
“Is she? Strange, then, that she took such a young Avatar. It hardly seems fair to you,” remarked Harrow.
            (Y/N) frowned.
“Do not listen to him,” said Ma’at.
“Do you not know? Avatars are supposed to be adults,” continued Harrow. “But you must not have met others. Ah, well, it can’t be too bad, of course. She hasn’t been banished, unlike Khonshu.”
“I only punish those who have already done harm,” said Khonshu. “I am real justice!”
“I have done nothing but uphold justice,” said Ma’at.
(Y/N) was left wondering what other Avatars were like. It was clear Khonshu and Ma’at’s choices were…singular. Was there more to being an Avatar that they didn’t know about? Were there rules? Did deities have a culture and rules? (Y/N)’s mind whirled with questions.
“What’s Khonshu saying now? ‘I am real justice?’ ” said Harrow.
“Can you hear him?” asked Steven quietly.
“Not anymore.” Harrow smiled. “Though I suspect (Y/N) can.”
(Y/N) didn’t see a reason to hide what he knew. “I can.”
            “Another ‘truth,’ ” chuckled Harrow.
“How do you know what he says, then?” asked Steven.
“I was his former Avatar,” said Harrow. “Before you, I was the fist of vengeance.”
            What a title, thought (Y/N).
“That’s the little American man living inside of me,” said Steven quietly.
“And that’s, uh, that’s Marc?” said Harrow carefully.
Steven looked down at his plate and avoided the question. “Soup’s…Yeah, that’s very good. It’s ace. Yeah, it’s lovely.”
“Khonshu punishes those who have already walked an evil path,” said Harrow, looking at Steven intently. “His retribution comes too late.” He looked at (Y/N). “As does any action Ma’at takes. By the time any fist of vengeance or defender of truth arrives, people have already suffered. Ammit knows this too well. She tears up evil from the root, casting her judgement before any evil’s done. That’s why we must resurrect her.”
“Right…but isn’t that a bit dodgy?” said Steven. “Like, trusting the judgement of a weird crocodile lady?”
“You don’t need to doubt her judgement,” said Harrow, smiling. “Ammit will light the path to good by eradicating the choice of evil, which brings us to the scarab.”
(Y/N)’s pocket felt all the heavier. Around the room, people got up and began to circle from different vantage points, ready for a fight.
“That scarab functions as a kind of compass, leading us to Ammit’s tomb,” explained Harrow. His people began to converge. “She’s out there, waiting, longing to be freed. While the cruel masses deserve to face her punishment. And in the wake of their screams, evil eradicated. Steven, (Y/N)…to exist at that moment? Heaven on Earth.” He leaned back. “So, the scarab.”
“Oh, I don’t have it,” said Steven. He wasn’t going to give up (Y/N), a kid, so that was all he said.
            “No?” Harrow raised a brow.
“Honestly, I don’t have it,” said Steven.
Harrow looked at (Y/N), and they cursed their inability to lie. Still, they had to say something.
“Marc took it from me in the Alps. I came to Steven’s flat to find it,” said (Y/N). Hopefully, that would be enough for Harrow to not directly ask “do you have it?” At some point, they wouldn’t be able to dance around the answer “yes.”
“Well, maybe you know someone who does?” said Harrow, looking between (Y/N) and Steven. “Maybe Marc hid it and you know where?”
“Don’t you do it.” Marc spoke from Steven’s reflection in the bowl. “Don’t you give it up. He’ll kill you and the kid.”
(Y/N) blinked. They were unused to having people consider their safety. Ma’at couldn’t due to their job, so this was…new. Since their parents, no adults had looked twice at them. Steven and Marc weren’t exactly people (Y/N) knew or could be sure they could trust, but they at least didn’t want to throw (Y/N) to the wolves. That was…nice.
“Just give me the body,” said Marc.
“No, I don’t know who could have it or where,” lied Steven.
            Harrow looked at (Y/N).
“Marc hid it somewhere. It wasn’t in the flat when I got there.” Two truths. Marc had hidden the scarab, and Steven had brought the duffel bag into the flat after (Y/N) got there.
“May I speak with Marc?” asked Harrow.
            “Um…uh,” Steven shifted uncomfortably.
“Marc, what has Khonshu promised you?” said Harrow. “That this is your last mission? Then you’ll be free?” He looked at Steven. “Trust me when I tell you Khonshu is a liar, as are all the gods.” He glanced pointedly at (Y/N). “There is always one last thing.”
(Y/N) decided to intercede to save Steven from the interrogation. They owed him. “If Ammit judges people before they do anything, isn’t she judging an innocent person?”
Harrow’s eyes flicked to them, and they continued.
“It goes against the idea we have the ability to make choices. It says that there’s only one path for us and we have no self-determination,” said (Y/N). Everyone was staring at them, but now that their thoughts were in the air, they weren’t stopping. “And what counts as ‘evil’ to her? If it’s action, she’s admitting to judging someone for what they might do. But if it’s thought, then that makes no sense, since thoughts becoming actions is what is harmful. The thought in itself could be ignored.”
Harrow sighed. “(Y/N), you’re a child. You may be an Avatar, but you do not understand the scope—”
“Oh, what about children?” said (Y/N), eyes widening. “Would Ammit kill a child for something they might think or do in thirty years?”
Steven’s eyes widened in horror at the idea.
Harrow sighed and collected himself. “I’m glad you mentioned that. Sometimes…the cure is a little taste of the disease. The difference between medicine and poison sometimes is only dosage. Considered a diseased limb. Amputation, horrific and grotesque, is necessary for the overall health.”
“A child isn’t a diseased limb,” said (Y/N). They looked around at everyone. “Is that what everyone here thinks? That killing—a terrible thing—a child is fine because that child might do something bad in the future? You’re just as bad as the child’s hypothetical future.”
Steven nodded emphatically. “Sorry, yeah, but…I kind of draw the line there at child murder.”
Harrow looked away from them in disappointment. Then, he lifted up his cane. “Do you know what this is?”
“Yep, it’s a cane, yeah,” said Steven.
“This is—” Harrow stood and held out the cane “—Ammit’s gift to her first Avatar.”
            “Alright…” said Steven.
(Y/N) eyed it warily as it glowed purple. The followers of Ammit took steps back as Harrow held it up.
“It contains in it a tiny sliver of her power,” continued Harrow.
Not good, thought (Y/N). They and Steven stood up from the table and took a careful step back.
“I don’t want to use it,” said Harrow. That was the truth, but that wouldn’t stop him from indeed using it. “I don’t.”
“Then don’t,” said Steven, laughing nervously. He and (Y/N) continued to back away. “We can’t help you.”
“Yes, you can,” said Harrow. “I need to know, where is the scarab?” Steven and (Y/N) were silent. “Where is the scarab?” repeated Harrow, raising the cane towards Steven. “Where is the scarab?”
“No,” said Steven, shaking his head.
“Where’s the scarab?” Harrow lifted the cane.
“Don’t hurt him.” (Y/N) pulled the scarab from their pocket and held it above their head.
All eyes snapped to them, and (Y/N)’s body went hot with anxiety at the attention. They knew this was stupid and risky, but they couldn’t just stand by while someone was threatened. It wasn’t who they were.
Harrow stared at it. “You have no idea the value of what you’re holding.” He held out his hand. “Give it to me.”
(Y/N) shook their head. “I can’t let you release Ammit.”
Harrow sighed. “I’d really prefer to do this the easy way, but I have to make sacrifices for a better world.”
Steven’s eyes widened in alarm, and (Y/N)’s grip on the scarab tightened. They needed a way out.
“There is no deal in this, Marc. Fix this! Fix this!” shouted Khonshu.
“Do not give it to him, (Y/N). Get out of there!” said Ma’at.
            “Don’t touch them.”
A woman pushed out of the crowd and stood by Steven and (Y/N)’s side. Layla. She, too, wanted to keep the scarab safe, and seeing Steven (who she still thought was Marc) and (Y/N) threatened was unacceptable.
Layla glanced at Steven. “Summon the suit.”
            “Sorry, what?” said Steven.
            “Summon the suit,” urged Layla.
Oh, boy, thought (Y/N), still looking around themself warily.
“ ‘Summon the soup?’ What are you saying?” asked Steven.
“The suit. Summon it,” repeated Layla urgently.
            “The suit?” said Steven.
            Layla groaned. “So be it.”
She grabbed Steven and (Y/N)’s wrists and pulled them after her. A man grabbed for them, but Steven shoved him back.
“Up!” shouted (Y/N), racing towards the stairs with Layla and Steven on their heels.
Harrow sighed. It seemed he’d have to use the cane. He slammed it against the ground. The building shook, and purple light erupted from cracks spiderwebbing through the floor and walls.
(Y/N) paused in front of Victor as he emerged from a side hall, knife in hand. They pushed the scarab into Steven’s hands. It seemed they were going to have to fight.
            Fine.
            To protect innocents, (Y/N) would.

I saw this post a few weeks ago that was like a chart from a psychology text that described how different sorts of childhood trauma can produce different dysfunctions, one of which was (I *think*) Emotional Neglect -> Magical Thinking. I was so intrigued by that. Magical thinking is sort of an umbrella term for the belief in a causal relationship between two unrelated factors; it can include wishing on a birthday cake candle; the feeling that The Universe is telling you to call your ex because something reminded you of them; OCD-type rituals that you believe will ward off misfortune; the deeper meanings mis-assigned to mundane events that can be produced by schizo-affective disorders; and also religious convictions to some degree, although those are rarely considered a clinical problem as with anything that helps or doesn't seem to hurt the participants. There seem to be as many potential causes of magical thinking as there are forms of the thought pattern itself, and trauma is an interesting one.
Tumblr media
It might be better to think of "trauma" as "helplessness" here. Magical thinking can help impose a feeling of organization where there is chaos and loss of any sense of significance. There was a lot of magical thinking going around in the gritty, depressed town where I'm from, and I often thought it was because of the persistent economic pressure. It's relatively normal for kids to be susceptible to spooky ideas, but many of the adults were also full of ghost stories and superstitions. I have one very sensible friend who is smarter than I am, who grew up there too, and we often reflect on this, which helps me know that this isn't strictly an idea I have due to my own social choices. My friend doesn't live in that town anymore either, but she's always digging up interesting stuff related to it, and one day she showed me the website of someone there offering his services as a paranormal investigator. He was in his 20s, and the site included a lot of unconvincing photos and a long, vigorous testimonial by the guy's mom. Part of me was dying to put it on tumblr, but it would only have resulted in unnecessary cruelty. I was as much a victim of magical thinking as anybody, and I think even when I was pretty young I was aware of what motivated me to be so naive and gullible: that a world full of ghosts and vampires and UFOs and such was preferable to what I normally experienced, which was a consistent sense of boredom and meaninglessness and drudgery and embarrassment and pain and suffocation in an ugly, flavorless universe whose nicer side was not going to be available to me. I had a lot of really damaging friendships with manipulative assholes and pathological liars because I was so very willing to believe the crazy things they told me, just in case any of them were true, because such a truth could change my whole life.
Tumblr media
Sometimes I think it's amazing that I never wound up in a cult, although I guess those relationships were sort of like little one- or two-person cults. Once in a while I read about some crime involving young people who think they're vampires or something, and I have a deep feeling of pity, because I think I know what they were going through (except for the part where they think they can do whatever they want to other people). The sad story of Shanda Sharer involves a whole group of badly abused and underprivileged teens, some of whom thought they were witches or vampires, and it just makes so much sense to me that they would be overtaken by these fantasies of secret meaning and power. Recently I watched Bad Vegan on Netflix, something that I avoided at first because I thought it was just about rich douchebags humiliating each other--which is like, what else is new--and to some degree it is, but actually it's way more disturbing than that. Ambitious young raw food entrepreneur Sarma Melngailis was manipulated, isolated, and ultimately kidnapped by this sadistic freak who preyed first on her loneliness and financial fears by pretending to be a rich suitor who could solve all of her problems; then he preyed upon her feelings of personal insignificance and failure by convincing her that he and she had been selected by a cabal of extraterrestrial illuminati who would make them immortal. Sarma seemed completely broken down to me, and I was amazed by her courage in describing the scam she fell for, that she must have known would invite derision. Part of the documentary explores her youth as a kid who always believed she could become something special, and then mundane tragedies like her parents' divorce brought her back down to earth in a painful way, and it seemed like she spent the rest of her life haunted by the idea that she might just be an ordinary failure of a person. I think that's part of what made her so vulnerable to this psychopath, that he was able to access her secret dream of having a special destiny. I got one of my friends to watch the show and she was very frustrated by it because she just couldn't figure out what Sarma's problem was that would cause her to ever believe the things she was told. I tried to reiterate what I've said here, but it didn't seem to mean anything. Ironically this friend is a practicing witch with formal beliefs in the supernatural, including that people can awaken special powers within themselves, but I guess one man's magical thinking is just um not another man's magical thinking.
Tumblr media
I still have a lot of magical thinking going, but it doesn't have the same character it once did. I tend to think of it more as "symbolic thinking"; I have a hard time accessing senses of meaning and hope, let alone any kind of self-belief, and sometimes symbolic gestures and concepts can provide that access better than my own direct, practical attempts ever could. It helps that I have a basic agnosticism about the invisible structures of the world, like it's easy for me to believe that there is more to life than what comes in through the five senses, even if I don't pretend to know entirely what that "more" is. That may help me believe that "anything is possible" and I shouldn't give up, even if I direly want to and I know I'm being kind of irrational. Magical thinking can be a double-edged sword, but maybe it's better than nothing.

Batman x Teen!Son!Reader
Requested: Yes
Note: I decided to go with just the two of them doing 'normal' family stuff (Let's be honest tho anyone related or is a part of his family doesn't have normal lol) This turned into more of the whole family than just Batman but I hope you like it anon.
"Hey Bruce do you have the list?" you asked him as you pushed the cart. Today was Alfred's day off and as a result, someone had to go shopping with him since the others would've caused chaos Bruce entrusted you to help him out. "Yep," he responded, pulling his cap more down.
As much as you enjoyed non-vigilante tasks you hated the fact that you had to hide your faces just so that paparazzi wouldn't charge at you in any public spaces or the fact even though you were a teen people felt the right to try and harass you even more than they did with your older siblings.
“Great, what do we have first on the list?” Once he told you the list the both of you continued shopping for stuff, and while everything was going smoothly something just had to ruin it.
°。°。°。°。°。°。
“Oh my god is that who I think it is?” A civilian said pointing with her daughter at the both of you, this caused you to freeze up for a second before continuing what you were doing. Bruce noticed this but didn’t comment anything since he didn’t want to bring any more attention to the both of you. Before the lady could try to walk up to the both of you Bruce quickly moved you both in another direction resulting in her losing you both.
Once you finished both the shopping and putting the groceries in the car you sat in the shotgun, just as you were about to put some music on your headphones he stopped you. "How about you play some of those songs you like on here?" He asked. "Um, sure. Do you have anything in mind?" "Not at all, just whatever you want" he replied. You hummed in response and started playing I'll never smile again, this seemed to be of his liking because he nodded in approval and continued driving.
°。°。°。°。°。°。
"Hey, Bruce?" "Yeah?" "Can we go to batburger?" "Sure, make sure to call the others and see what they want and let Alfred know as well". You grinned at this and texted the group chat.
°。°。°。°。°。°。

°。°。°。°。°。°。
As you both finished ordering and dropping off the food you both got ready to go on patrol together, as you put on your mask you turned to Bruce who finished putting on his cowl. He nodded towards the Bat-mobile and you entered the passenger seat.
°。°。°。°。°。°。
You jumped from building to building using your grappling hook to get to the farther ones, Bruce was nearby but was doing his own patrol just like you. You finally landed next to him and waited for Oracle or someone to let one of you know of anything going down. While you'd normally get a bunch of people and places you needed to help it seemed tonight was less busy, and that was true for most of the patrol before you heard Batman himself talking to someone. You turned to him, leaned on the wall, and waited. After a little while, he responded. "On my way. Let's go"
°。°。°。°。°。°。
"You needed me, Gordon?" Batman asked. Gordon hadn't seen you yet and you wanted to see just how long it'd take. "Ah yes, thank you, Batman. We have a case that neither my detectives nor me myself can solve." He showed him a file that read as classified. "Arnold Wesker? what does he want?" You asked from behind. "AH! Oh, it's you, hey kid" Gordon responded. "And yeah it's him, says he wanted to speak to Batman himself, no idea why but he won't tell us". You sighed at this, as nice of a guy as he was his puppet was extremely annoying to deal with, even if they've been separated again they somehow always manage to get back together.
°。°。°。°。°。°。
While Batman was talking with Wesker you waited outside of the room and started tossing a coin left to right, the loud clinking noise caught some of the guards' attention. At first, they didn't say anything but after a while, one of them asked to try it and you tossed them it. Most of the guards failed but it seemed to brighten up their day slightly getting to try something new out. When the Bat himself returned he saw one of the guards attempt to pass the coin to the other side and fail miserably. When the guard noticed they slowly went to pick it up and apologized quietly.
Once that whole ordeal was done and the patrol was over you both got back to the manor and started getting ready for movie night. A common tradition in the manor and a welcomed one after Alfred suggested it as a way for all of you to spend quality time.
°。°。°。°。°。°。
"So what are we watching?" Damian asked as he petted Alfred, the cat. "I don't know isn't it Dicks turn to pick?" You responded, sitting next to Cass and passing her the popcorn, to which she smiled in gratitude. "Today, my children we are watching Master Chief!" Dick answered in a mock British accent. "Dude your accent sucks!" Jason laughed. Laughter and giggles filled the room with even Bruce himself laughing a bit at the accent.
°。°。°。°。°。°。
After a few episodes all of them were fast asleep, some on top of the others and others laying on their back, you laying your head on Bruce's shoulder. Alfred walked into the sight and smiled. He saw all of you as one of his own and seeing all of you relaxed and getting some rest brought him some joy. He covered each of you in blankets and took a picture of you all together.

Hi y'all, finally making a pinned post!!!!! I am nonbinary/genderfluid, bisexual, T4T, polyamorous, mid 20s, and use they/them pronouns. ***This blog is 18+ ONLY***
I am a fat liberationist at my core. I was blessed with finding fat liberation as a teen while in eating disorder treatment, and am honored to incorporate fat liberation into my professional work too. I am here for the people who have known fat liberation most of their life, and for those just learning that fatness isn't shameful.   Feedism cannot exist without fat liberation, and fat liberation could not be where it is without the work of feedists 💖
I have always been an FA. I started out as a feedee, but eventually found a love for encouraging too. I love weight gain and will happily participate in it however makes sense: gainer, encourager, mutual gainer...if someone is trying to get fatter, or someone is being appreciated for their fatness then I'm happy 😋
I'm big on dom/sub dynamics, and I'm a dom-leaning switch. My happy place is being a mommy/daddy dom, but I love exploring new dynamics.  I love subbing to good doms and it makes me melt when someone can turn my sub brain on. Some other related/unrelated kinks I'm into: tight/outgrown clothes, before and afters, being worshipped, pregnancy/lactation, exploring and indulging people's darker kinks with them.
Non kink wise I have a dog but am a cat person at heart lol. I value veganism and live a mostly vegan lifestyle, but food wise I sometimes eat vegetarian due to my ED history. I love reading and my faves are horror and psychological thrillers. I love to crochet and knit clothes for my fat body, and make gifts for loved ones! I play Bee Swarm Simulator (happy Beesmas lol) and some chill switch games.
Happy to find new flirty friends of all kinds to chat, encourage, and exchange pics with 🥰

Hey Kat.
I wanted to ask do you have any weird things with food when you are on your period?
For example I NEED chocolate. And I eat meat with no problem I was never a vegetarian or a vegan but during period meat kinda smells so weird to me that it makes me gag and I can't eat it. I don't know why. But yea. So I wondered if there is any changes in the way you eat when you are on your period? Sorry for the weird ass question lmao. But it's so odd to me how I can't eat meat during that time.
I can't say much about periods as I haven't really had any since I was a teen and discovered that certain birth control pills can be taken continually and thus prevent periods altogether/make them an extremely rare occurrence.

lil funny tag game
tagged by @cyberneodog 🤗
last song I listened to: I'm gonna be (500 miles)
favourite place: My home but I also love the local Botanical Garden
favourite book(s): Would you like me to pick a favourite child while I'm at it? Gosh this is hard, because it keeps changing. If I had to pick one it'd probably be Project 17 by Laurie Faria Stolarz. I picked it up at the library one day and it touched me so much I had to track down my own copy. These teens go into what was the Danvers State Insane Asylum before it's meant to be pulled down for this kid to make a short film but safe to say things go bump in the night. Basically I think it spurned my love of thrillers, and seeing the movie Session 9 which was filmed at the asylum before it was pulled down makes the read even better because I can visualise it. Fun fact, when the place was torn down it was rebuilt as... apartments
currently reading: The Turn of The Screw by Henry James. I just finished the first Poldark book last week and before I read the second I'm having a stopover in a ghostly novella
favourite tv show: Again, why must I pick only one??? It's a tie between many things but we have Once Upon a Time, The Musketeers, Grimm and Downton Abbey.
favorite food: Okay so I'm currently loving this chicken free chicken chow mein. The flavour sachet thing is vegan and I just use plant based protein and it tastes so good. Also the vegan chocolate cake mum made me for my birthday is on my brain.
Who to tag.... I mean I tag you all but... especially... @simmerbeans, @marcishaun, @matchalovertrait, @sharona-sims, @shmoodlet,
@stargazer-sims, @deardiaryts4, @swallowprettybird, @youredreamingofroo, @onestormeynight,
@melonivysims, @eljeebee (I blame my headache for not putting you earlier), and @ethicaltreatmentofcowplants gosh I'm just forgetting everyone tonight. But I am tagging all of my moots! Also thank you for the love sent to my ask box, I am planing on getting to it, I'm just extra fatigued right now 💌💖

What made you focus on cultivating your dark feminine energy so well? And what are some things you do daily to continue to cultivate it? You're such an inspiration to me. Since I found your blog I've been focusing on cultivating my dark feminine energy a lot more and it's been so amazing. Hopefully this isn't too personal of an ask! Totally respect it if you feel like it is.
Hi love! Thank you for asking with this kind compliment and empathy. I truly appreciate it!
I think it happened organically through some adverse childhood experiences and difficult familial dynamics during my teen years. These two time periods triggered post-traumatic growth responses that naturally manifested as dark feminine energy - it's my natural emotional and psychological home I guess. I knew it was essential to be the leader of my own life, create my unique value system, and uphold certain personal boundaries since I can remember. I've focused on cultivating successful habits to exceed in my education, career, physical and emotional health, etc. while also prioritizing discovering my sense of self, style, values, sexuality, life goals, desired lifestyle, social group, etc.
If anyone is/has experienced any situation that seems similar – feel free to reach out if you want to chat privately (I'm not a therapist, of course, but for a moment of emotional support!).
Some of the daily habits I practice include:
Morning /nighttime routines focused on self-care
Planning my week/day with a big 1-3 tasks necessary to complete to reach my goals
Wearing comfortable clothes that make me feel good (think black knit or cashmere sets for WFH or trousers and cashmere sweater with black boots or white sneakers for outings)
Doing my daily makeup routine, even when WFH
Maintaining a healthy vegan diet (whole foods 90% of the time)
10-12K step walks (5-6 miles) around 5-6 days a week
Reading/journaling daily
Listening to music I enjoy/dance as a leisure activity
The rest of my essential habits to cultivate & maintain your Dark Feminine Energy (and some specifics on my routines/rituals) are linked in this premium post.
Hope this helps xx

started reading a new book today that I got for my birthday, some crime thriller which isn't really my thing but I'm giving it a try, and I'm only like 15 pages in and it has already thrown me for several curveballs. not even related to the murder!!
first a teenage girl is introduced, she's at her parents midsummer celebration and is having an awful time. relatable I like her. then it's revealed she's a very obnoxious vegan and because some of the food served is meat she posts on her instagram about how 'midsummer is murder!' (haha get it cause people are gonna die) so I instantly like her less but she's a teen whatever. then to pass the time she facetimes a boy who likes her, but she laments to herself about how he's nice but she doesn't like him back and that she might be asexual (hello??! who knew swedish crime authors knew about asexuality!!) so that makes her slightly cooler.
then people show up on a boat with guns and teen girl jumps into the lake to hide while her parents and everyone else are getting murdered. but her shades miraculously stay on. nice 👌
now main character gets introduced, woman author, former cop, who's gotten the task of writing the next book in the millennium series (you know girl with the dragon tattoo actual real life series) because the original author doesn't want to write more books?? she'd thought about this and the impact it would have on her life. she'd probably make a lot of money that she doesn't know what to do with, she doesn't really need or want a swimming pool... she still decides to write the book just to show the haters that she can!
lisbeth salander (character in millennium series) is a hacker though, and this woman doesn't know anything about hacking. to help her with this the publisher finds an actual hacker to help her. hacker has gender neutral name, is it a man or a woman? she asks. idk I never met them, publisher says, just meet them at this café they know what you look like.
she goes to the café, and soon what she assumes is a guy sits down in front of her. he's the hacker, or "cracker" as he calls himself. she notes that he's in his late twenties, about 20 years younger than her, has long black hair, pale, frail looking skin, and blue eyes. he looks like a metalhead but he's wearing a t-shirt with skalman (swedish cartoon turtle) on it. skalman? she asks. yeah he's my idol, the hacker says.
they talk about hacking and author lady gets some useful information for her book, while he also comments that he read one of her previous books and it was shit, but so is everything so whatever. she's a little hurt by this. afterward the have a smoke together outside. you wanna have sex? hacker guy asks. you're aware of the age difference right? authir responds, despite feeling somewhat aroused at the mention of sex. she hasn't slept with anyone in over a year you see. yeah, so? hacker says. what's the issue? that i won't become a father?
she contemplates this. let's not decide now, perhaps we could have a glass of wine and see where things go first, she says, intrigued by this strange guy.

I figured I would share some information about myself so everyone can get to know me better.
My Background:
I'm half Egyptian, half Japanese. I was born in Egypt, and mostly raised there, though I visited Japan often throughout my childhood as well.
My first language was Arabic, and I learned Japanese next. I was fluent in both by the age of eight, and studied English next.
I'd always wanted to travel the world, and finally in my teens, I was able to start doing that. Getting to experience all these unique places and cultures brings me immense joy.
I speak multiple languages along with Arabic, Japanese, and English. This comes in handy when flirting with all the gorgeous men across the globe.
Becoming A Vampire:
Though I won't share my exact age, I've been alive for hundreds of years. I stopped aging physically at 32.
I was turned into a vampire by Sekhmet, a fierce, Egyptian lion goddess. She didn't appreciate me stealing from her, and so I was "cursed".
Although I hardly find my immortal life, strength, and abilities to be a curse. I've been able to accomplish so many things I wouldn't have been able to as a mere human.
My Diet:
I'm not a typical, bloodthirsty beast that fiction depicts us as. Sucking blood from people is an act I find quite barbaric and distasteful.
It's only something I did when I was newly turned, and hadn't yet controlled my hunger, or learned of alternatives. Now I mostly consume, for lack of a better term, vegan blood.
It contains everything a vampire needs to survive, and tastes surprisingly close to the real thing, but without the need to sink my fangs into anyone.
I supplement this with regular foods that are rich in iron. Aside from that, I can eat anything else I please, though it's merely to enjoy the taste as I gain no health benefits.
I'm able to consume as many calories as I want without gaining weight. This special perk helps to maintain my physique, though I still require exercise to build muscle mass.
Midas Incident:
I'm not as bad of a guy as people make me out to be. Sure, I have a nasty habit of taking valuable items and meddling with time, but I don't go around harming people.
At least, not intentionally... I unfortunately sliced Midas's left hand off in an act of self-defense. He attacked with a sword after catching me steal his drum gun, and in attempting to escape unharmed, the damage was inflicted upon him instead.
I deeply regret my actions that day, and know my apologies mean very little. But I sincerely am sorry, and hope that one day he'll forgive me.
Closing Thoughts:
Some may find my brazen nature to be extreme, but I simply love beautiful men and flirting. If I ever make you uncomfortable, please do let me know. It's hard to turn my filter off sometimes.
I'm still searching for my soulmate, and yearn for him to come along soon. However, most of my significant others have only been interested in my wealth and power, and I'm starting to feel like even an eternity isn't long enough to find the right person. (sighs)
Anyway, thank you for taking the time to read this. Don't hesitate to send an ask or private message if you'd like to talk. I promise I won't bite. 😘

RECIPE: Coconut Pho Bowls (from Body Harmony by Nicole Berrie)
This might be my favorite thing to make in the winter. Actually, in the summer too. It reminds me of the piping hot bowls Nick and I would get on the beach in Phuket. In fact, eating hot, steamy, soupy bowls can be quite cooling in the hotter months. The creamy, salty broth is so easy to make and, shockingly, you don’t even need that much time. Fifteen minutes for a fragrant multilayered broth? You bet. It’s also hard to mess up if you have the right aromatics. You can add pretty much any vegetables you have on hand and it’ll still be great. What makes this soup, though, are the fresh and bright herbs and the crunchy, spicy fixings. And don’t forget the lime wedge for extra alkalinity.
Makes 4 to 5 bowls
Ingredients
2 tablespoons coconut oil
2 cloves garlic, smashed and minced
1 large yellow onion, minced
1‑inch (2.5‑cm) knob turmeric, or ½ teaspoon dried
1½- to 2‑inch (4- to 5‑cm) knob ginger, grated
1 teaspoon sea salt
3 scallions, halved
2 cups (115 g) cooked vermicelli
1 (131/2-ounce/398-ml) can full-fat unsweetened coconut milk
1 cup (75 g) napa cabbage, thinly sliced
3 carrots, peeled and shaved
1 red bell pepper, cored and thinly sliced
1 cup (96 g) shiitake mushrooms caps, sliced
2 cups (142 g) broccoli florets and stems, roughly chopped
1 tablespoon coconut sugar
Juice and zest of 1 lime
2 tablespoons tamari sauce
1 zucchini, shaved into “noodles” with a serrated vegetable peeler or thinly sliced into long strips
Optional
¼ cup (60 ml) Vegan Fish Sauce
Garnish
½ cup fresh mint leaves
½ cup fresh cilantro leaves
½ cup lightly packed fresh basil leaves
¼ cup roasted peanuts, crushed orroughly chopped
1 lime, quartered
Thinly sliced Bird's Eye Chili, or, redchili flakes, or chili oil
½ cup raw bean sprouts
METHOD
In a 3-quart (2.8-L) stockpot, heat the coconut oil. When it has melted, add the garlic, onion, turmeric, and ginger and sauté on medium low for 2 minutes, until fragrant, being careful not to brown. Add 6 cups (1.4 L) water, the fish sauce, if using, and the scallions. Season with salt. Bring to a boil, then simmer for 15 minutes or up to an hour, depending on how much time you have.
While the broth is simmering, in a pot of boiled water, off heat, hydrate the vermicelli, loosening the strands for 3 to 4 minutes. Drain and rinse with cold water. Separate the strands with your hands. If you’re not using the noodles right away, you can add 1 tablespoon avocado oil and massage them to prevent clumping.
Once the broth has finished simmering, turn off the heat and add the milk. Combine well. Bring to a low simmer and add the cabbage, carrots, bell pepper, mushrooms, and broccoli. Simmer for 3 to 5 minutes, until the vegetables are tender but still bright and al dente. Add the sugar, lime juice and zest, and tamari and salt to taste.
In 4 or 5 deep soup bowls, nestle ½ cup cooked noodles and ¼ cup zucchini noodles then ladle 1 to 2 cups vegetables and broth over the noodles. Garnish with mint, cilantro, and basil and crushed peanuts. Add a lime wedge, bean sprouts, and the chili flakes or chili oil. Serve immediately.

chipotle order? I don't eat Chipotle anymore, it's been like ten years since I've had it. I used to love their chicken burritos with the lime rice or whatever, beans, cheese, guac, sour cream, and the hot sauce. I don't remember if there were other toppings I added too, I don't remember what toppings they have. I can't eat spicy food anymore, though, and that's what I liked about it. thoughts on veganism? Great for those who do it. It's so extreme, though. I'd have nothing to eat lol I'm already too fucking picky. a specific color that gives you the ick? A color doesn't give me the ick. mythical creature you think/believe is real? None, they're MYTHical lol. favorite form of potato? Basically all ways. Although, not a super big fan of scalloped potatoes. do you use a watch? Nope, just my phone mainly. what animal do you look forward to seeing when you visit an aquarium? None really in particular it's just all pretty cool. EXCEPT for killer whales. I'm fucking terrified of those. do you change into specific clothes for the house when you get home? I wear the same clothes at home and when I go somewhere. do you have a skincare routine (and how many steps is it)? I don't. Most I do is apply moisturizer sometimes. I need to work on that, my face gets so dry. I don't have an acne problem, though. One or two little ones pop up once in a great while. I had awful acne as a teen and young adult. on a plane, do you ask for apple or orange juice? I haven't asked for either one, but if I did apple juice is the only correct choice. OJ is shit. anything from your childhood you’ve held on to? Lots of stuffed animals and a lot of my Barbies/accessories, and other mementos. I'm a nostalgic person and hold on to a lot of stuff. brand of haircare/bodycare/skincare that you trust 100%? I use this red shampoo cause I dye my hair red, I don't remember the brand, I use Caress bar soap, and only skincare I do is occasionally apply moisturizer, which currently I have an ELF one and Neutrogena one. first thing you’re doing in the purge? I'd die. do you think you’re dehydrated? I could always use more water I don't drink enough. rank the methods of death: freezing, burning, drowning Uh, they're all not exactly pleasant. thoughts on mint chocolate chip? Loveee it. an anxious compulsion you do everyday? I sway. your boba/tea order? Good ol' regular milk tea no boba. the veggie you dislike the most? Most of them. favorite disney princess movie? I include Alice in Wonderland as a princess and The Little Mermaid. a number that weirds you out? None. do you have an emotional support water bottle? No. do you wear jewelry? I have a few rings and a few bracelets. which do you find yourself using, american or british english? Well, American. Although, I do like the spelling as "grey" instead of "gray." would you say you have good taste in music? Well, I obviously think so cause I like it. how’s your spice tolerance? Oh, ZERO. I used to eat spicy everything, but I can't anymore. what’s your favorite or go-to outfit? What I always wear--leggings and an oversized tee. last meal on earth? Food would me the last of my concern. I couldn't eat if I knew I was being put to death. preferred pasta noodle? Ramen, spaghetti, angel hair, penne. Yes, the shape of the noodle makes a difference.

4. which cryptid being do you believe in?
listen i LOVE cryptozoology my dream is to one day go to the annual mothman festival in west virginia and spend an entire weekend. i don't necessarily believe-believe but if at least one were real???? like say....the yeti... i would not be shocked. honestly it makes me pretty happy to think that there are all sorts of interesting creatures out there. so maybe not true belief but wanting to believe?
21. something you’ve kept since childhood?
my childhood dog passed on when i was a teen. her name was jackie, and she had a white collar with a diamond bejeweled bone. the leather got worn down over the years but i still have the jeweled bone!! eventually i would like to get a copy of it tattooed + have the pendant remade into a bracelet or hair clip.
it's actually one of the only things i still have from my childhood! some things are just worth saving.
24. if we were together on a rooftop, what would we be doing?
definitely eating for one. i don't know how you feel about fast food but it's not something i eat bc i worry about cross contamination (no meat outside of seafood for me) so it'd have to be either a picnic or convenience store snacks. totally painting each other's nails and talking about childhood comforts and fiction.
33. the last adventure you’ve been on?
i did a roadtrip with an old coworker of mine. he moved out to idaho about a year and a half ago now, but we were good friends fast so we try to stay in contact. he had to drive back my way on his way to go see his parents so he stopped, picked me up, and then we went all the way up to NH together. it was a lot of fun. i really appreciate his calm way of going through life; he lived out of his van by choice for a few years straight out of hs and then saved up to buy a plot of land so he could start building his own place. he's like a strange cousin to me.
34. is there a song you know every word to by heart?
so many!!! memorizing lyrics is easy for me. i've been singing un puño de tierra by becky g (my girllllll) in the shower though lately. and while washing dishes. and driving. basically all the time. i rarely even play the song anymore since it's already so stuck in my head.
41. how do you take your coffee? (or other hot drink)
if i'm very tired i'll just drink regular old black coffee to wake up, no milk. for hot drinks i really prefer to have matcha or a bay leaf and cinnamon stick tea.
43. what’s your take on spicy foods?
i'm latina; if it's not spicy, i don't want it lol. i have been really into indian food recently actually and have been learning tons of new recipes bc they have such a large amount of vegan and vegetarian dishes that all have a kick to them. it's great.
46. favorite holiday film?
i'm a the nightmare before christmas girl all the way. one of my favorite films in general, even outside of the holiday category. i also like to watch the low budget horror films they come out with for holidays (mostly the halloween ones but the christmas ones are always pretty funny too).
