So I’ve been wondering for a long time, what is the deal with the double g’s in Tech Tuesday?

That kinda depends on what "the deal" you're asking about is.

In terms of characters, they're Geralt of Rivia (Cavill in The Witcher) and God the Bounty Hunter (Stan in Ghosted).

In terms of their job, they're the quality assurance checkers. They hunt down all the possible bugs that the programmers wouldn't even think to look for. They live by the motto:

"Whenever you make something foolproof, God just makes a bigger fool."

In terms of their relationship, the best label I could probably give would be Queer Platonic Partners. They have no sexual or romantic interest in each other but they're probably as close to soulmates as you can get. They're each other's emergency contact, reliable support, check in person, etc.

They do share an apartment because it makes sense for them. Cut the rent in half, only need one car to get to/from work, etc.

They're very comfortable with each other which is saying a lot for them. Geralt used to get bugged by his buddy Jaskier to be more sociable. Meanwhile God's bullies would always hound him about "how weird" he is. Together, though, they can just be themselves without judgment and that's something they're willing to fight to keep.

17 Curious Facts About The 1920 Election In Cincinnati

The election of 2 November 1920 was remarkable in many ways. It was, of course, the first national election in which women were able to vote equally with men. It saw the victory of Warren G. Harding, the final Ohioan elected to the White House. And it was the last “newspaper election” before radio started turning the media tide to electronic formats. Here are a few curiosities from the 1920 election as it played out in Cincinnati.

Sexism Was In Its Flower When the Nineteenth Amendment was finally adopted, the Cincinnati Times-Star, resolutely opposed to giving women the vote, predicted few women would actually register.  "If every woman is forced to give her age,’ the Times-Star opined, “there is going to be a great abstention from voting . . . "

Domestic Tranquility According to the Cincinnati Post [2 November 1920], “woman suffrage did not ruin one home Tuesday, or even spoil a meal.” Many newspapers timed women voters and determined that they spent more time in the voting booth than men – apparently making more individual selections and fewer party-line ballots.

Dogs, Babies & Girl Scouts The Cincinnati Enquirer [3 November 1920] reported: “Some women took their dogs along and mothers carried their babies to the polls and handed them over to an obliging policeman or a willing Girl Scout, while they disappeared into the booths to mark their ballots.”

No Need For Milk Officials in Precinct C of Ward 3 decided that some women coming to vote might bring babies and those babies might fuss and disturb the other voters. For just such emergencies, the polling staff kept a bottle of milk available. When no babies showed up at the Precinct 3 poll at 3558 Montgomery Road, clerk C.L. Hopkins drank the milk.

A Tradition Of Informing Voters The Cincinnati branch of the League of Women Voters evolved out of the Women's Suffrage Committee of Greater Cincinnati which decided on 21 September 1920 to establish one of the oldest branches of the National League of Women Voters. For the past century, Cincinnati voters have been educated by this dedicated organization.

Some Women Were Not Suffragists One of the leaders of the anti-Suffrage movement, Beatrice Shillito of the Cincinnati department store family, sent a letter to candidate Warren Harding outlining three of the reasons why she and other women were opposed to women's suffrage. First, it would double the cost of elections and increase the tax burden. Second, states' rights were being violated and, finally, the voters of Ohio had already rejected votes for women on four previous occasions.

Voters Needed Nine Ballots To Vote In 1920, voters were handed nine separate ballots as they entered the polling station, then deposited marked ballots in nine corresponding ballot boxes. The nine ballots were 1) Ballot for presidential electors for four parties: Democrat, Republican, Socialist or Single Tax; 2) statewide ballot for those four parties, plus the Farmer-Labor party and the Independent ticket; 3) a non-partisan judicial ballot, 4) the statewide Crabbe Prohibition referendum; 5) citywide initiative to expand streetcars to California, Ohio; 6) initiative to increase Cincinnati police pay; 7) a county road levy; 8) Cincinnati operating tax  increase; and 9) city schools levy.

No Elephants Or Donkeys Although political cartoonists employed elephants to signify Republicans and donkeys to depict Democrats, those were not the official party emblems. Republican ballots showed an eagle at the top, while Democratic ballots were emblazoned with a rooster. The Socialists employed a hand holding a torch. Prohibitionists used a rose.

Chaplin Movie At Music Hall To avoid the often unruly crowds that gathered outside newspaper offices waiting for updates, the Cincinnati Post rented Music Hall to announce election returns. Between bulletins from the Board of Elections, the Post showed films starring Constance Talmadge and Charlie Chaplin, with music by “Smittie’s famous band” and a program of stereopticon slides.

Scissoring Off Democrats A woman voter brought a pair of scissors to the polls at Colerain Avenue and Rachel Street, home of Precinct E in the 22nd Ward. As she left the booth, she pulled out the snips and started cutting away half the ballot. Confronted by the polling executives, she explained she had no use for the Democratic candidates and only wanted to vote for Republicans. They gave her a fresh ballot and some instructions.

Politically Correct Office Attire An unnamed stenographer told the Cincinnati Post she was glad the election was over. One of her employers was a Democrat, the other Republican. Throughout the campaign, she had to remember to wear a Cox button while in the Democrat’s office and a Harding button in the Republican’s office.

Former Slave Denied Vote William M. Kocsiss, aged 77, was denied a ballot because he had not registered properly. Kocsiss, a shoemaker during the week and a minister on Sundays, appeared at the Board of Elections in his Civil War uniform. He was a slave who joined the Union army on emancipation and first voted in 1864, supporting Abraham Lincoln’s second term.

Election Wagers Provided Entertainment The day after the election, Cincinnati commuters were entertained by men who had lost bets on the outcome. One man stood at the corner of Sixth and Walnut and crowed like a rooster for three minutes. Another man rode around downtown in a wheelbarrow while the loser pushed it. A portly gent shoved a peanut around Fountain Square with his nose.

Cincinnati Had Our Own Presidential Candidate Although he polled negligible numbers in 1920, Cincinnati was home to its very own presidential candidate. The Rev. Aaron S. Watkins, 4338 Eastern Avenue, pastor of the Linwood Methodist Episcopal Church, ran for president in 1920 on the Prohibition Party ticket and attracted but a smattering of votes.

Really ‘High’ Tech Election Results The Cincinnati Enquirer worked out a deal with the Union Central Life Insurance Company, owner of the then-tallest building in town, to flash coded election results from the top of the Union Central building. An H for Harding or a C for Cox indicated who had the lead at that time. The governor’s race was communicated by colored lanterns – green for the Democratic candidate, red for the Republican contender.

Results On The Rails The Big Four Railroad adopted a system – developed in Cincinnati – to share election results among passengers on all of its trains. Bulletins distributed by the general superintendent’s office arrived in all division offices and were parceled out to each train. Conductors read the updates in each car.

Questions About Absentee Ballots The day after the election, the Enquirer wondered: “It will be interesting to learn just how long after the election those ballots mailed by absent voters reached their destinations.”

The Trinket Theif

Eckers St. was known as the "buy on for the price of two" street for its infamously overpriced items. Charlie's pet store sold expensive dog food, Bloom's sold expensive vases, and so on. The stores were owned by rich families who didn't need the extra money they made by setting ridiculously high prices for mundane objects one could buy at different stores for more than half the price. Because of its proximity to the "sketchier" parts of the neighborhood, all the stores were protected with the most advanced, high-tech security. No one had been able to successfully robbed any of the stores before. Until now.

"Talk to me, G-man. What have we got?" a man in black asked. He was sitting on the roof of Bloom's bouquet looking at the store across of it through a pair of night vision goggles.

"Alright, we've got some guards and gates behind a steel, locked door blocking every entrance. Inside there are lasers everywhere and the floor is touch sensitive, so if you trigger them then the operation is over, police will be here in 5 maybe 10 minutes," G-man replied. He was in a black truck that was parked two blocks away from Eckers St. He stood in front of a computer displaying the interior of Bobby's convenience store. Repair Boy had hacked into the security cameras, so the team could see exactly what the cameras could.

"We can handle the doors," a woman dressed in a smart business suit said. She was walking down the street opposite the store. To passerbyers it looked like she was coming back from a hard day at the office; she looked harmless.

"But what about the floors? What are we going to do fly in there?" the man on the roof said. His sea-green eyes scanned the ground below, looking for any possible conflicts they had not planned for. The team had triple checked that the area was clear, but it didn't hurt to be cautious.

"Not fly, but climb." This came from a man next to a nearby phone line pole. He was searching through the toolbox next to him, seemingly in search of the right tool to fix the phone pole. "Luckily for you I asked Ghost King about any surprises we might have, and I came prepared. "

"Everyone in position?" G-man asked.

There was a chorus of conformation that rang through the comms.

"Alright, the cameras are going to be down for 20 minutes. You guys know what to do.," G-man said as he typed away on the computer. He typed a few more codes and clicked the enter key.

"It's showtime."

The operation went smoothly. Beauty Queen crossed the street and approached the guards posted at Bobby's. Her ruse was simple but effective. She'd asked for a phone and they'd gladly searched for one. While they were distracted she stole one of their key cards and slid it to her right, where  Repair Boy was waiting with his toolbox. Opening the gate was simple enough, Repair Boy used a simple lock picking kit and it was opened in seconds. Unfortunately for the guards, the gate went up too roughly and made a loud sound when it hit the ceiling, so Beauty Queen had to knock them out.

The steel door was a little more tricky. It required ID, a password, and handprint. They used the ID Beauty Queen was able to get, and used an original Valdez Gadget to get the 6 digit password. The handprint required to open the door was the manager's, who obviously was not present. Because of Ghost King, they knew this beforehand, so Beauty Queen was able to get the manager's fingerprints. Repair Boy had transferred them to a glove, so whoever wore it had the manager's fingerprints at his disposal.

After the doors were opened, Trinket Thief was sent in to retrieve the targets. He quickly got off the roof and meet the other two members of his team at the door. Repair Boy gave him gloves and boots that stuck to the wall, another Valdez Gadget. He was able to climb to the electrical panel that controlled all the security, and plug in the virus Repair Boy had made earlier that shuts off security without alarming the police. It was a walk in the park after that.

The team did this 5 different times at 5 different stores. The amount of work depended on the level of security each store had, but in the end they cleared the stores of chewing gum. There wasn't a single one left in the stores. At the end of the night they tipped the police and drove back to their base.

Now, they wait for the manhunt.

"I'm back!" Piper shouted as she walked into their base, the Argo II, carrying 3 boxes of pizza.

She set the box down on the dining table and walked to the hall where their rooms were located. She knocked on the first door to her right. It was a simple brown, wooden door with vines and flowers carved around the edges. The door opened, and she came face to face with Grover Underwood, aka G-man. He was their "man in the chair" and the best tracker she ever met. He was on the phone and looked at her with raised eyebrows.

"I brought pizza," she answered his unasked question in a soft voice, not wanting to interrupt him more than she already did.

He only nodded and closed the door

Piper moved on to the door to her left. This one, unlike Grover's, was more decorated. It was painted blue and had seashells painted on it. When she knocked, a loud "come in" was her answer. She opened the door to find Percy Jackson sitting at his desk on his laptop.

"What's up, Pipes?" the infamous Trinket Thief asked without looking up from the screen.

"I brought some pizza for lunch," she said.

"Cool. Did you-"

"Bring enough for Nico and Will? Of course, I did who do you think I am?" she asked with a smirk.

"The greatest Beauty Queen the world has ever seen," he replied. He looked up at her, sea-green eyes glinting with amusement.

Piper shook her head and laughed. "Stop stalking your little detective and come down to eat."

Percy's face flushed. "I'm not stalking I'm . . . researching," he protested.

"Is that what they call it these days?" Piper asked mockingly. Before he could answer she closed the door and continued on to the next door. The next door on her right looked out of place in the cheerful hall. It was made out of [reinforced] steel and required 2 keys, a 6-digit password, an eye scan, a handprint, voice recognition, and a knocking pattern to open it. Or, in moments of an emergency, one could simply turn the door knob 3 times to the left, once to the right, twist up, and right again. If one failed to do so, the door was set to trigger an explosion that would destroy the room and everything inside it. There had been 3 occasions early in the early years as a team when the room had actually exploded. Thankfully nothing and nobody important had died in there. The explosion would only affect that particular room, and the fire could not be put out, It wouldn't fade till it destroyed what it had to. Instead of red flames, the special fire had unique green flames. It's creator had named it Greek Fire.

Piper knocked on the door and smiled up at the little eye hole where the inhabitant of the room was no doubt peering down at her. With some clicks and squeaks, the door opened to reveal a smiling Leo Valdez, the team's Repair Boy. His cheek had a smudge of oil, and he was wiping his hands on a handkerchief, so she had to guess that he had been working on another one of his projects; another original Valdez Gadget.

"Hey, Beauty Queen, whatcha need?" he asked, stepping aside to let her come in.

She shook her head lightly to show him that she didn't want to come in. "I just came to tell you that I brought pizza for lunch."

"I thought I was making lunch," he said.

"You know we love your food, but Nico and Will are coming over in a bit, so we needed quick and easy food," she said. "Plus, it's from Johnny's."

He humphed indignantly and shook his head. "Fine. But only because I love Johnny's." He pointed a warning finger at her. "But I'm cooking for Taco Tuesday."

"'Course you are," Piper laughed. "Wash all the dirt on you and come down to eat.

"Yeah, yeah," he said as he closed the door.

Now that knocks were done, Piper headed back down to the dining room to double check that it was clean enough for their guests. Nico and Will didn't mind a few scattered papers or pencils laying around the Argo II, but Piper didn't like them thinking that they lived in a pig pen. They were professional thieves, they could stay organized if they wanted to.

"Are Nico and Will here yet?" Percy asked as he walked down the stairs.

Piper shook her head. "Not yet. Hey, could you double check that there aren't any plans laying around?"

Percy nodded and left the living room.

Nico di Angelo, otherwise known as the Ghost King, wasn't technically part of their ragtag group, but he was their informant. He knew anything and everything that happened in the Underworld, the darker and sketchier part of the city. He was never on the feild, and the team wanted to keep it that way. He was a great asset, but they wanted him to enjoy his life, graduate from college, spend time with his boyfriend, get a career. They didn't want him to get stuck in misery and misfortune that came with their job.

The ringing of the doorbell drew Piper from the dining room to the door. She checked the peep hole and smiled when she recognized the two college students outside. She quickly unlocked the door and opened it, the smile never leaving her face.

"Welcome to our humble abode!" she exclaimed.

The two looked like complete opposites. One was dressed in black and had a moody and dangerous aura. His hands were stuffed in his pockets with only the band of a bracelet peeking out from around his wrist. His black hair was tied back in an updo to keep it away from his eyes while the rest curling around his jaw. His dark eyes were void of emotion and he kept his expression neutral. Nico di Angelo, the Ghost King of the Underworld, was infamous for his Poker Face.

The young man next to him, on the other hand, wore blue hospital scrubs and, like his nickname suggested, radiated happiness and joy. On of his hands was at his side, and the other rested lightly on his boyfriend's elbow, a bracelet similar to Nico's hung from said arm. His curly hair lay on his head like a fluffy, blond cloud, the only sign of an attempt to keep it tamed was the slight glint of water on his curls. His blue eyes were bright with happiness, and he made no attempt to hide it. There was need to hide emotions around his friends. William Solace, <Nico's> their Sunshine, provided a nice dose of normalcy in the criminals' lives. But one need not confuse his kindness with weakness. He was skilled with medicine and could just as easily prolong one's suffering instead of relieving it.

"Piper!" Will greated. He moved forward to hug her. "It's good to see you. Sorry about calling in so last minute."

"Don't worry," she reassured. "We're all glad you came."

"Nico! Will!" a voice exclaimed from behind Piper. They turned to see the green-eyed thief walking towards them with a grin. He quickly engulfed Nico in a hug before he could protest and did the same to Will. "How's college? You keeping your grade up?" He asked the two young men.

"Of course we are," Will replied. "Though Nico did get in a fight last week."

Piper's eyes widened. "You what?!"

Nico shrugged it off nonchalantly. "It was just some jerk who was making fun of this kid in my english class. I got annoyed and," his lips curled up into a sly smirk, "my hand slipped."

"Did you at least win?" Leo asked from the doorway of the dining room. He was holding a Pepsi can in left hand while he fiddled with a wire in the other.

"What do you think?" Nico asked. "It took a couple of punches and /bam!/ he was out cold."

"It wasn't that glamorous," Will said from beside him. "He walked into the school's infirmary with a bloody nose and a busted lip."

"You should've seen the other guy," Nico told them slyly.

"Nico, you’re supposed to be staying out of trouble not causing it,” Grover scolded him. He was walking out of the kitchen with plates in his hands and set them down on the table next to the pizza boxes. “We wouldn’t want you catching the wrong kind of attention from dangerous people. Your dad has more enemies than friends.”

“Yeah, yeah I know,” Nico said, waving away Grover’s concern. “Now stop worrying, Will does enough of it already.”

“With the things you do sometimes, who wouldn’t,” Will teased.

Nico scowled at him playfully. He walked over to the dining table and opened the first pizza box. “Just for that, I’m taking the first piece.”

Will and the rest of the team joined him at the table and started eating. Soon, stories were being told as they ate and laughter was being shared. They talked about anything they could think of: Leo’s newest invention, Will’s job at the hospital, Nico’s annoying speech teacher. Anything but the team’s latest job or upcoming plans. They had made it a rule to never discuss the team's job when they were hanging out. Talking about mass-stealing bubblegum does wonders to kill the good mood.

Leo got up and walked over to the TV in the living room, pizza slice in one hand and soda can in the other. He put the soda can down on the TV stand and used his free hand to turn it on. The blank screen was soon replaced with the image of a dark haired reporter who was at a crime scene. The words ‘The Trinket Thief Strikes Again’ glared back at them at the bottom of the screen.

“--is one of the stores the infamous Trinket Thief visited last night,” the reporter was saying. “This store, like 5 others, was wiped clean of chewing gum; there isn’t a single on in stock. As always, there seemed to be no signs of violence, and there are 0 wounded and 0 casualties. The only thing they took was chewing gum, everything else was untouched.”

“Here with me is the detective in charge of the Trinket Thief’s cases.” She turned her head to greet someone off-camera with a smile. The camera soon followed her gaze and moved to show the detective. Her blonde hair was held back in a ponytail, and she was dressed smartly in a grey suit. Her posture was proud and authoritative; Detective Annabeth Chase was certainly a force to be reckoned with.

“Detective Chase, what can you tell us about the case so far?” the reporter asked.

“I am not at liberty to discuss all the details, but they struck late last night, and fortunately no one was harmed in the heist, which is their signature,” Detective Chase replied. Her voice, like her expression, was calm and collected. She seemed to have doubts on the OPD’s competence, and every word she said was carefully chosen as to not let any information slip to the media that would cause more harm to to their investigation than good. A skill that was expected from the Olympus PD’s best detective.

The reporter frowned, obviously not please with the lack of new information, but a tight smile was back on her face in a second. “By ‘they’ do you mean the Trinket Thief's team, the Half-Bloods?”

This time it was the Detective’s turn to frown, but unlike the reporter, she allowed it to stay there. “Yes, but we usually don’t condone the use of nicknames or titles when talking about criminals. It encourages them and can lead to groups of admirers forming.”

As if on cue, the camera turned away from the two woman momentarily to show the crowd gathered around the enclosed perimeter Olympus PD had set up. There were a couple curious passerbyers here and there, but a majority of the group was made up of the Half-Bloods’ “admirers”, as the Detective had put it. There were various flashes of cameras and even a couple of signs expressing the people’s love and gratitude for the Half-Bloods.

“I guess their fan base is as hard to stop as the Half-Bloods themselves,” the reporter said with a small smirk. Detective Chase scowled slightly and looked like she was about to say something else when someone else came up to the two women.

“Detective Chase, I need your highly valued, expert opinion on something,” the new arrival said. He was tall and towered over both Detective Chase and the reporter. His blond hair was cut short, and he was cleanly shaven. His lips were upturned in a sly smile and his blue eyes held the same mischievous glint. He was handsome and, if the small horde of people not so discreetly swooning over him was anything to go by, he must’ve also been quite charming. Even the scar running from his cheekbone to his jaw did nothing to affect his “golden boy” appearance.

Detective Chse excused herself and left with her partner, Detective Luke Castellan, looking relieved for the excuse to get away from the pesky reporter. Before the reporter could speak again, the screen went black with a soft click! The enthralled group turned to Piper, who had the control in her hand, with equal expressions of disdain.

“Nothing job related, remember?” she said with a scowl. “Which includes the news.”

“Aw, come one, Pipes. It was just getting good,” Leo wined.

“Let Jackson watch his little detective girlfriend on TV,” Nico teased with a smirk. “Look at him, he was practically drooling.”

Percy glared at the younger male. “No I wasn’t. And she isn’t my girlfriend.” Though he denied all accounts of drooling, he subtly wiped the corners of his mouth. Just in case.

Nico chuckled lowly and shook his head. He turned back to look at the blank TV screen, and his expression turned serious. “You guys should be more careful. There’s been talk around the Underworld that Olympus PD is bringing in the FBI.”

Silence fell over the apartments like a heavy blanket. They had stopped eating and everyone took a moment to contemplate Nico’s words. The team had been toying with Olympus PD for months now, and honestly it had been easy to evade capture. It hadn’t been till Detective Chase and Detective Castellan had been put on the case that the team really had a challenge running from the police. But if they brought in the big guns . . .

“We’ll be fine, Nico. Don’t worry about. A couple of feds won’t be able to stop us,” Percy reassured. The cocky smile he donned convinced no one. No matter how hard he tried to, the leader of the Half-Bloods couldn’t hide the uneasiness in his green eyes. Maybe Percy was right and they would be fine, or he was wrong and the arrival of the feds would pose a big threat. Either way, one thing was certain-- everything was about to change.

Hello all my lovely readers! So The Trinket Thief is going to be a multi-chapter fic and (obviously) this is the first chapter. This is kind of a spin-off from a fic I wrote a looong time ago called You’ve Stolen My Heart. It’s not really a prequel or direct continuation of it, it’s just in the same world/the same idea. There are a whole bunch of ships (pretty much all canon), not just Percabeth. This is my take on a cop AU. I hope you like it!

i’m having A Situation with some of my meds. nothing, like, catastrophically urgent, but it’s very annoying nonetheless.

i take trulicity once a week for insulin resistance. previously, i’d had it set to auto-refill and didn’t have to think much about it, but the cvs i was using has had a lot of walk-outs and is now severely understaffed and incredibly disorganized. (i think at this point they’ve got, like, one pharmacist and MAYBE one tech left, but cvs refuses to improve anything so no one new wants to apply.)

i got a text saying my trulicity was going to be ordered and would be ready to refill soon, and then i never got another notice about it, and my adhd ass completely forgot about it until i went to take my meds on thursday and realized i didn’t have it. the pharmacy was closed at that point, so i called the next day and was told that, because it was a specialty order, they didn’t have any in stock and i would have to call back ON MONDAY to double check if it had actually been ordered. given the disorganization, it seemed unlikely. i am going out of state on this upcoming thursday. i wanted to make sure i would have it by then.

(side note, once i realized the oddity in the lack of texts, I scrolled through and realized i also hadn’t gotten a refill notice for my humalog. they just ... took everything that was on auto-refill off of auto-refill and then they DID NOT NOTIFY ANYONE THEY HAD DONE THIS.)

so i called a local rite aid and asked if they had it in stock, and they did, so i asked to transfer my prescription. that was at like 9:30 in the morning on friday. by 5:45 i hadn’t heard anything, so i called rite aid back and was told that they’d been in touch with cvs, but they were told they were busy and would transfer the prescription when they had time.

i was getting annoyed at that point, so i went to cvs myself to see if i could just get a copy of my prescription and bring it to rite aid myself. and they said they couldn’t do that??? because protocol was for them to transfer it. but the lady i was talking to at cvs said that no one from rite aid had contacted them anyway, so whoever rite aid talked to hadn’t actually made a note of it. so the cvs lady asked if it was the methenamine that i wanted to transfer and i corrected her that it was the trulicity. she ACKNOWLEDGED that i corrected her and it was supposed to be the trulicity. she said they could do that but it would be ‘a  few minutes.’ i didn’t know what ‘a few minutes’ meant so rather than loiter around, i went home, and because i didn’t actually trust that cvs would get it done, i emailed my endo to explain the situation and asked her to send my trulicity and humalog prescriptions to rite aid so that, worst case scenario, they would at least be there by monday and i would at least have my meds by thursday before i got on the plane.

cut to today. i wake up. i have a text! it says i have a prescription at rite aid ready for pick up! huzzah!

so, mom and i go and do some shopping and then we go to rite aid. and the tech hands me a bag. with a bottle of pills. because cvs TRANSFERRED THE FUCKING METHENAMINE PRESCRIPTION.

so i mentioned it to the pharmacist at rite aid, and she’s a very nice lady and told me to wait a moment while she called cvs to sort it out. and then after she was on hold for 15 minutes, she got my phone number and suggested i go home and she would call me when she had a result. that was, eh, like 4:30?

the pharmacist eventually called me AT 5:45 to say she was still on hold and rite aid was closing soon, so i explained that i had emailed my doctor about it. she said she would leave a note for tomorrow’s pharmacist to try to get in touch with cvs about it, but she seemed very relieved that i’d thought to message my doctor about it.

anyway long story short, i was supposed to take my trulicity on thursday and it is now saturday and i still don’t even have it and probably won’t until monday or tuesday.

(you’d think i’d be concerned about my humalog getting refilled, but ever since i started the trulicity i’ve needed way less of it than is currently prescribed, so i’ve still got like. fuckin’ seven bottles of it in the fridge right now.)

Mr. Valadaos district in the San Joaquin Valley is somewhat difficult to characterize politically, given his performance in it: He sailed to victories in 2012 and 2016 even though Democratic presidential candidates won the district by double-digit margins. In 2018, amid a Democratic wave election, he lost by less than 1,000 votes. He recaptured his seat last year even as Mr. Biden ran up an 11-point margin in the district.

What is clearer is that Mr. Valadaos survival in such a skittish district is seen as important to Republican efforts to recapture the House. That may explain why, despite his impeachment vote, Mr. McCarthy, now a vociferous Trump ally, has been helping Mr. Valadao raise money.

For his part, Mr. Valadao has been a reliable Republican vote in the House since his support for impeachment and has said very little about it in the intervening months, aside from voting for Mr. Katkos doomed Jan. 6 commission.

But he has expressed some solidarity with other pro-impeachment Republicans: He appeared at a fund-raiser for Mr. Newhouse and donated to eight others all except Ms. Cheney, whose political action committee donated $5,000 to Mr. Valadao.

So far, he faces only weak opposition: His leading primary challenger lost a Republican primary for Congress in New Mexico last year.

They write that Katko appeared to get back into good graces with GOP leadership quickly after his impeachment vote and noted he was one of the faces of a border trip with House Republicans earlier this year.;

President Trump will make a statement reacting to todays impeachment proceedings soon, an official familiar with the matter tells CNN. It will likely be a video.

The House has just voted to impeach President Trump for the second time making him the only US president to ever be impeached twice. The resolution passed 232 to 197.

The impeachment resolution the House voted on charges Trump with;a single article, incitement of insurrection, for his role in last weeks deadly Capitol riot.

More on this: A White House official said aides to the President are concerned the video he is recording this evening will be removed by YouTube, as Trump has seen his presence on social media vanish in recent days as tech giants like Twitter and Facebook have cracked down on the Presidents often false and irresponsible content.;

The official said the plan is to post the video on whitehouse.gov. But YouTube is used by the White House to post videos on the official government site.;The official said news outlets would be wise to make a digital recording of the video as soon as possible, in the event it is pulled down by YouTube.

The Oval Office is under consideration as a location for recording the video. It could be posted sometime during the next couple of hours.

Trump Calls For ‘no Violence’ As Congress Moves To Impeach Him For Role In Riot

This time, there will be more. Some Republican senators have called on Trump to resign, and even Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said he is undecided at this point.

Trump’s impeachment won’t lead to his removal even if he is convicted because of the timeline. The Senate is adjourned until Tuesday. The next day, Biden will be sworn in as the 46th president. But there’s another penalty the Constitution allows for as a result of a Senate conviction that could be appealing to some Republican senators banning Trump from holding “office” again.

While there is some debate as to the definition of “office” in the Constitution and whether that would apply to running for president or even Congress, that kind of public rebuke would send a strong message that Republicans are ready to move on from Trumpism.

As autumn approaches, the pressure on Bice from within her party appears to be lifting. Oklahoma GOP leaders have said nothing about her since party Chairman John Bennett posted a rebuke on Facebook in May following her Jan. 6 commission vote. Bennetts post is now blocked from public view, and he did not respond to a request for an interview.

Bice, who voted in January to oppose certification of the presidential result in Arizona, has repeatedly given the same explanation for her stance;on both the 2020 presidential election and the Capitol riot, positions she reiterated in an interview with CQ Roll Call.;

Voting rights advocates said the measure would protect voters during the coronavirus pandemic, but state Republican lawmakers called the decision judicial overreach and rushed a party-line bill through the Legislature restoring the requirement.;

Rep. Tom Rice, representing South Carolinas 7th Congressional District, voted to impeach Trump, though he had not spoken out publicly about his decision prior to the vote.

Some ambitious Republican senators have never been as on board the Trump train as the more feverish GOP members in the House, and the former might be open to convicting Trump. But their ambition cuts two ways on the one hand, voting to ban Trump opens a lane to carry the Republican mantle in 2024 and be the partys new standard-bearer, but, on the other, it has the potential to alienate many of the 74 million who voted for Trump, and whose votes they need.

Its a long shot that Trump would ultimately be convicted, because 17 Republicans would need to join Democrats to get the two-thirds majority needed for a conviction. But its growing clearer that a majority of the Senate will vote to convict him, reflecting the number of Americans who are in favor of impeachment, disapproved of the job Trump has done and voted for his opponent in the 2020 presidential election.

Step 1 Connect your controller:

Just connect your controller as you would normally.

Step 2 Install ViGEm:

Download ViGEm from https://github.com/ViGEm/ViGEmBus/releases

You only really need one file so scroll down to the assets section of the latest release and download just the file labeled “ViGEmBus_Setup_1.16.115.exe” or whatever the newest release is.

After you’ve downloaded it just install it normally. After installation you’re done with this.

Step 3 Get VDX:

Download VDX from https://downloads.vigem.org/other/paraly/

look for the file “VDX_v1.14.3.0_x64_x86_GPDWinEdition.zip” or whatever the newest release is.

Basically just unzip the file using 7zip or whatever you like. There is nothing to install like the other program. Just open the file labeled “VDX_x64.exe” or the other one if you’re only on a 32 bit system. I would also suggest pinning this to the start menu or creating a shortcut on your desktop next to your PS4 Remote Play app.

Step 4 Set the Emulation Type to DualShock 4 Controller:

Just select DualShock 4 Controller from the Emulation type drop down menu. Backing up and restoring onenote.

And then click connect. After you click connect the the button should then change to a disconnect button. You are now connected.

Step 5 (Optional) Disable Xbox Game Bar via Controller:

If you have the Xbox game bar installed it will open the Xbox Game Bar when you press the Xbox button on the Xbox controller. This can be kind of nice as it gives you all the capture options and access to basically everything else that the Xbox Game Bar has to offer. A lot of capture options are inaccessible during Remote Play so this can be a workaround for that. However it does mean that you will need to use the mouse to click the PS button on the remote play window. If you want to press the Xbox button on the controller and have it work as the PS button you will need to disable this shortcut.

Open game bar by pressing the Xbox button or pressing Win+G

Click on the “Settings gear”

Click on shortcuts and un-check the box next to “Open Xbox Game Bar using Xbox Button on a controller.

You can always get back to Xbox Game Bar with Win+G.

Step 6 (Optional) Disable Y-Axis inversion to enable?!?:

If you are awesome like me you probably prefer to play with Y-Axis inverted. If you like to invert your Y-Axis you probably have your Y-Axis inverted in all your game settings. The PS4 Remote Play app will leave your Y-Axis Inverted and if you Game Stream with Xbox or Xcloud you probably have the Y-Axis inverted there as well.

DOUBLE INVERTED! So basically, if you’re inverted in both apps you’re Y-Axis is just normal. So you’ll need to disable one of them. I think it’s best to disable Y-Axis inversion in the Xbox accessories app because it’s easy to find and do this on a computer and it doesn’t disrupt the settings on either console.

Open the Xbox Accessories app. Find your controller and click configure.

Click on the profile you want to use and click on Edit. (Also you can make another profile here to make setting up easier).

Un-check Invert right stick Y axis.

Once you have done this you will only have your Y-Axis inverted from the PlayStation.

Summary: A "friendly" competition comes to an end, for now.

A/N: I really don't know what I'm doing with these two other than having fun. 😄

The monthly competition was coming to a close. Geralt was still up by two. God was putting in a final effort, one more push, but he knew it was inevitable. That didn't stop him from growling when Geralt went to move the rubber ducky from God's desk to his.

Geralt quietly huffed. You've lost the battle this month. Just let me take the prize already.

God glared back at him. It ain't over until it's over. Hands off.

A raised eyebrow. Are you sure you don't just want to admit defeat?

A lowering of the eyes. I know I've lost. A slight crinkle of his nose. But the ducky remains in place until time to hand it over.

A small nod. You are right. That was unsportsmanlike of me.

An eye roll. Can you believe they haven't figured out what we're competing for?

A chuckle. Unfortunately. They're not the most observant of people.

"Hmm," God nods. You're not wrong. It's a shame, really.

They both hear the footsteps approaching their cubicle.

"Fuck," Geralt quietly moans. It's Johnny again.

God lets out a sigh. I got rid of him last time. It's your turn now.

A chuckle with a raised eyebrow. We could always scare him away again.

A squinting of the eyes. We can only do that when he's actually interfering with work. Otherwise we'll get in trouble.

On cue, Johnny steps into their cubicle, "hey! How's everything going?" Without a word, Geralt holds out a candy bar from the stockpile he keeps in his desk drawer. Johnny grabs it, "thanks! Knew I could count on you!" He leaves before Geralt can try to take it back.

"Huh," God raises an eyebrow. You think the reason he keeps interrupting us is because we keep giving him candy?

Geralt lets out a big sigh. It's a lot easier than dealing with his pranks.

A small nod. True enough.

When it's time to clock out, God was still down by one. He moves the rubber ducky to Geralt's desk with a slight nod of his head. Until next month.

GUWAHATI: Even as multinational recruiters are rescinding their hiring plans from several top technology and management institutes, including the IITs and IIMs, pushing the placement processes into disarray, IIT Guwahati (IIT-G) is still going strong in the placement front amidst the global slowdown caused by Covid-19.

A statement issued by IIT-G on Tuesday stated that the corona crisis have not impacted placements that were confirmed by the recruiters in the IIT-G during placement season 2019-20 so far.

“Even in the current uncertain situation, the institute (IIT-G) is happy to note that placements have not been impacted so far. No offers, domestic or international, have been withdrawn. However, a few companies have postponed the date of joining. For internships, the institute is consulting the companies to assess the feasibility of work from home model. The institute is doing everything in its capacity to support students during this critical period,” said the IIT-G statement amid apprehensions made by some of the stakeholders that few students from the premier technology institute may also have to pay the price, after some of the recruiters are revoking their recruitment plans from the premier technology and management institutes in the country.

In the 2019-20 placement season, which started from December last year, 485 out of 561 registered students from BTech and BDes courses have got placements from the institute, registering placement record of about 87 percent. On the other hand in MTech and MDes courses, 177 out of 353 registered students have been placed so far with a placement record of over 50 percent. Total 15 other students from MSc, MS(Research) and PhD programmes have also got placements.

The highest offer during the placements in IIT-G this placement season was made by Microsoft amounting to USD 214,600 (Rs 1.5 crore) per annum in December 2019. Microsoft offered the highest international package of USD 214,600 per annum to three IIT-G students. An overwhelming response was received during the commencement of the placement season itself in terms of international offers which had doubled as compared to the previous season’s campus placement drive in IIT-G.

In the most sought after IT and Software branches, software development engineer, member technical staff, design, research and development (R&D), developers, IBSO, data science are some of the job profiles where IIT-G students have got placements, while in core engineering (automobile sector, civil construction, FMCG) branches, graduate engineer trainee, post graduate trainee and technical executive posts were offered to the IIT-G students. Among the non-tech profiles, business analyst, associate product manager and marketing manager positions have been offered to the IIT-G students and in the design branch, product designer and graphic designer jobs amongst other portfolios have been offered. IIT-G students were also found to be highly suitable for algorithmic trader as well as quant and data science job profiles by the recruiters.

With the coronavirus lockdown being extended until May 3, IIT-G will be compliant to the lockdown rules and regulations. However, the institute has already been conducting online courses of all the theory courses (more than 350) since April 4 and will likely be completing them by May 15. “The institute has tentatively scheduled examinations in July 2020. The institute will be welcome the incoming students for the new session in August 2020,” an IIT-G spokesperson added.

Overall? It's a big world out there, but while appealing to global markets is key for pharma success, sometimes scaling up a creative local campaign is the way to really reach consumers and their doctors. Read on for more.

Adapting a consumer marketing framework dubbed LoveBrands, Cansun and his team use a similar evaluation-and-revamp for the company’s doctor relationships. Story

Winning outside the pharma and healthcare box. Johnson & Johnson and partners picked up the Grand Prix for Entertainment on Tuesday night for the film “5B.” The film about the nurses who founded and opened the first AIDS ward at San Francisco General Hospital, called Ward 5B in 1983 was picked up in May by Verizon for broader distribution and officially debuted June 14. “5B” was created by Oscar-nominated director Dan Krauss and Saville Productions, known for its branded ad and film work. Saville tweeted in May after Verizon picked up “5B”: “The film is an HIV/AIDS crisis doc, commissioned by Johnson & Johnson, & shows how brands can authentically get behind global issues.” The film also won a Lions Health & Wellness silver statue on Monday night.

Stand up for nontraditional creative. Getting the green light for a brand film targeted at physicians at a pharma company is not for the faint of heart. Even the best ideas face multiple hurdles. AstraZeneca’s Lions Health award-winning "The Attack" film from last year highlighted the risk of repeat heart attacks, but was "that close" to being killed, said Kyriakos Konstantinidis, global strategy director at AstraZeneca. That's what his boss told him later after winning four more global awards and industry impact, feedback and successes rolled in. It helped that Konstantinidis understood the vision that ad agency Havas Lynx brought with its ideas—his father had worked in the film industry and he grew up in and around it. Konstantinidis and Havas' perseverance not only led to the creation of "The Attack," but another new disease awareness film about cardiovascular risks around Type 2 diabetes that debuted recently. That patient-targeted film features a fisherman talking about the dangers of heart disease for Type 2 patients while his boat engine stalls, noting, "That's how dangerous Type 2 diabetes is. It can cause your heart, your engine, to fail." Konstantinidis urged the audience and pharma in general to take risks, albeit calculated ones with a strategy meets creativity foundation. "When you're working in the pharmaceutical industry which has a very conservative approach to these sort of ideas, and you have your colleagues and peers coming to you (after the campaign) to say, apart from congratulations, 'How did you do that? We want to copy that, we want to do the same brief. ... What is the direction I need to take internally to make this a success in order to get the buy in?' Then you know you have created a new area," he said.

Fighting fake news. Panelists from Johnson & Johnson, McCann Health and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention tackled the thorny problem of combating disinformation about vaccines. "It won't be a TV campaign," said Seema Kumar, J&J's vice president for innovation in global health and science policy. Social media might play a role, but it's really peer-to-peer and face-to-face that's most important, the panelists decided. How to make that happen? "I'm challenging you," panel moderator Rajesh Mirchandani, chief communications officer of the UN Foundation, told the audience. In another session moderated by Conde Nast’s health chief Jen Mormile, Self editor in chief Carolyn Kylstra said their research found that while fake health news is not new—snake oil has been around a long time—it’s an issue because of social media and the rapid way disinformation now spreads, exacerbated by the lack of trust in authority figures. To combat it, Self is doubling down on health news editing, fact checking and vetting sources including celebrities. Meanwhile, co-panelist physician Esther Choo said doctors can do their part by going beyond traditional journal model of publish-and-done model. Today physicians need to follow up and make sure other scientists are misusing or misconstruing their work, she said.

VR for VR's sake. Too many pharma marketers are making the mistake of recruiting tech tools for jobs they can't do, or just using those tech tools poorly, said Sam Glassenberg, founder and CEO of LevelEx, which makes mobile games for physician training. For example, method-of-action presentations that used to be on big screens have moved into virtual reality. But zooming around a molecule in the virtual world while sitting still in the real one tends to make people nauseous. "The last thing you want a doctor to associate with your drug is nausea," Glassenberg said. The moral of the story is to use VR only when it's the only way to tell a particular story—and when you do, make it a spectator sport, he said.

Real-world evidence and technology are natural partners, said Alex Gilbert, head of partnerships at app developer Medopad, as he ticked off the ways his company’s working with life sciences companies such as Novartis to help collect the sort of patient data that can help drugmakers add new indications to existing drugs. “We’re now creating a living, breathing document of a patient," Gilbert said. “Your health record doesn’t have to be in the hospital. It’s here, created by you.”

Spending on real-world evidence has hit $1.48 billion, according to Simone Seymour, founder and CEO of the biometric textiles company Supa. Real-world evidence is “really hot right now” for personalizing products but “also for understanding how drugs are actually working.” Companies are tapping Supa’s tech—and its network of app users—to monitor and recruit patients for real-world evidence trials.

I can still hear the clinking of champagne glasses in Beijing. Now more Asian nations are falling in line with China’s regional trading association — the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership — which has no serious environmental, intellectual property, human trafficking or labor standards like TPP. A Peterson Institute study said TPP would “increase annual real incomes in the United States by $131 billion” by 2030, without changing total U.S. employment levels. Goodbye to that. But Trump took his Make China Great campaign to a new level on Tuesday by rejecting the science on climate change and tossing out all Obama-era plans to shrink our dependence on coal-fired power. Trump also wants to weaken existing mileage requirements for U.S.-made vehicles. Stupid. O.K., Mr. President, let’s assume for a second that climate change is a hoax. Do you believe in math? There are now 7.5 billion people on the planet, and there will be 8.5 billion by 2030, according to the United Nations population bureau — and most will want to drive like us, eat protein like us and live in houses like us. And if they do, we’ll eat up, burn up, smoke up and choke up the planet — and devour our fisheries, coral reefs, rivers and forests — at a pace we’ve never seen before. Major cities in India and China already can’t breathe; wait for when there are another billion people. That means that clean power, clean water, clean air, clean transportation and energy-efficient buildings will have to be the next great global industry, whether or not there is climate change. The demand will be huge. So what is China doing? Its new five-year plan is a rush to electric cars, batteries, nuclear, wind, solar and energy efficiency — and a cap-and-trade system for carbon. Trump’s plan? More coal and oil. Hello? How can America be great if we don’t dominate the next great global industry — clean power? The U.S. state leading in clean energy innovations is California, which also has the highest vehicle emissions standards and the strictest building efficiency codes. Result: California alone has far more advanced energy jobs than there are coal miners in America, and the pay is better and the work is healthier. In January 2016, CNNMoney reported that nationally the U.S. “solar industry work force is bigger than that of oil and gas construction, and nearly three times the size of the entire coal mining work force.” “More than half the electric vehicles sold in the U.S. are sold in California,” said Hal Harvey, C.E.O. of Energy Innovation. “If there are two jurisdictions hellbent on transformation, it is China and California. There have been 200 million E.V.s sold in China already. They’re called electric bicycles, which cost about $400 — quiet, not contributing to congestion or pollution, and affordable.” China is loving this: It’s doubling down on clean energy — because it has to and it wants to leapfrog us on technology — and we’re doubling down on coal, squandering our lead in technology. It was bitterly ironic that on the same day that President Trump took America on a great leap backward to coal, The Wall Street Journal reported that “Tencent Holdings Ltd. bought a 5% stake in Tesla Inc., giving the backing of China’s most valuable company to the Silicon Valley electric-vehicle maker as it prepares to launch its first car aimed at the mass market. … Having a powerful friend in China could help Tesla as it eyes further global expansion. Big Chinese tech companies have backed a wave of green-car start-ups in the country recently.” If you liked buying your oil from Saudi Arabia, you’ll love buying your electric cars, solar panels, efficiency software and batteries from China. Finally, Trump wants to slash the State Department and foreign aid budgets and make it harder for people to immigrate to America, particularly Muslims. This opens the way for China to expand its influence across the developing world and signals the smartest math and science students in the world to start their start-ups overseas and not in America. NBC News reported last week that applications from foreign students, notably from China, India and the Middle East, “are down this year at nearly 40 percent of schools that answered a recent survey by the American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers.” So you tell me that Trump is not a Chinese agent. The only other explanation is that he’s ignorant and unread — that he’s never studied the issues or connected the dots between them — so Big Coal and Big Oil easily manipulated him into being their chump, who just tweeted out their talking points to win votes here and there — without any thought to grand strategy. Prime Minister Narendra Modi of India announced a $300 billion economic rescue package on Tuesday. He did not provide details, but said it would help all classes of business, from farmers and migrant laborers to big companies.

Germans were nervous when their country’s R factor, the number indicating the rate of viral spread, ticked up after lockdown measures began to lift. But top health officials countered that the metric was meant to fluctuate, and that only a consistent increase would be a concern.

India’s carbon emissions drop

For the first time in four decades, carbon dioxide emissions fell in the country. This reflects the economic slowdown from the lockdown restrictions imposed during the coronavirus outbreak and also a broader weakening of demand for fossil fuels.

Emissions fell around 15 percent in March and probably dropped another 30 percent in April, according to researchers at Carbon Brief, an environmental website that tracks climate and energy policy.

Coal-fired power generation, which is linked with higher air pollution, fell 31 percent in the first three weeks of April.

Back-to-work lessons from China

Three months after the authorities shut down the country to stop the spread of the outbreak, workers have returned to their jobs. China is the first laboratory of the post-coronavirus workplace.

Some of the rules are obvious — wear masks, use disinfectant, keep a reasonable distance from others. But some are far-reaching and require employees to significantly change their daily routines, commutes and work schedules. Some of the stricter rules might not be tolerated by workers in other countries.

Everyone agrees on one thing: There is no going back to life before the pandemic.

Details: Tracking apps are becoming widespread. Some companies, like the electronics giant Foxconn, advised their employees to trade commutes on public transit for walking, biking or driving. Lunches are lonelier, with companies like the chemical giant BASF allowing one person per table in their canteen.

Bringing Muslim families to American TV comedy

When the comedian Ramy Youssef was growing up in New Jersey, he and his Egyptian Muslim family didn’t see anyone on TV that looked like them. “We’d watch something,” Youssef recalled in an interview with The Times, “and emotionally connect to characters, but it still wasn’t us, you know? It was them.”

But with “Ramy,” the whimsically subversive hit Hulu show he helped create and stars in, he made the show he didn’t get to see back then. Before it comes back for a second season at the end of the month, our Talk columnist spoke with Mr. Youssef about his upbringing, expectations of comedians and how he “came out” to his family about going to therapy.

Rushing to reopen

This week, Donald G. McNeil Jr., our infectious disease correspondent, wrote about a possible second wave in the coronavirus pandemic. He focused on the impact of reopenings across the U.S. as other countries around the world face flare-ups after relaxing restrictions.

When cities and areas reopen before they have met experts’ recommendations, as you wrote, they increase the likelihood that they will see a devastating second wave. Does this extend the timeline for which we have to deal with the virus?

People need to stop thinking of it as a national wave. We had the first wave here in New York — and in Detroit and in New Orleans and in Chicago. They largely dodged the first wave in San Francisco, Los Angeles and San Jose.

The wave is still traveling. If you come out of lockdown, that wave is finally going to hit a lot of new cities. But first it’s going to be quiet for at least two weeks. If you or I got the disease tomorrow, we wouldn’t begin to feel symptoms for five to seven days, and we wouldn’t begin to develop pneumonia for at least 14 days.

You’ve got to have a lot of testing even in a small town to notice an outbreak forming. Otherwise, your first hint is that people show up in larger numbers in your emergency rooms with pneumonia. That’s a very strong signal, but it’s a signal that may be seen too late to stop a flood of cases following the first one — and small rural hospitals run out of ventilators and ambulances very fast.

What have you learned about U.S. states that haven’t gotten their outbreaks under control but are reopening barbershops, restaurants and shops?

They’re living in a dream world. They’re desperate to reopen — and they’re right to feel that. But they have convinced themselves that it’s safe to reopen, and it’s not. If you’re an expert who looks at epidemics, you know it’s not safe.

What explains this risk-taking mentality in people right now?

Too many people have not seen the disease hurt somebody they know, so they don’t quite believe it — they’re not absorbing the grim truth.

G and Geralt have the most gorgeous eyes but I’m scared to look into them because they’re so intimidating

It is well known in the department that you should only bother the Double G's if you have good reason. They are constantly embroiled in a bitter competition for resolving the most bugs each month for stakes only they know.

Early in his career, Johnny decided to try to prank the two. When they refused to acknowledge his presence, he wired up a remote to turn off their monitors. He was standing at their cubicle when he hit the button. He got some chuckles from their confusion but they quickly picked up that it was just the monitors and went back to work.

The three ended up in a battle of wills for the better part of an hour before Geralt got too frustrated and slammed his fist on the desk. This was the agreed upon signal that it was time for a break from the competition and both G's turned and glared at Johnny.

Johnny swears they looked into his soul, Ghost Rider style, and he had to take the rest of the week off to recover.
