BOKU GIRL - AKIRA SUGITO

Que tal a todos?

Hoy os traigo la REVIEW de un manga que acabo de leer hace poco “BOKU GIRL”. Trata de un tema poco inusual (al menos de los mangas que ya había leído) el “GENDER BENDER”. Y para ser uno de los primero mangas con esta categoría de genero, me ha encantado.

Les dejo la sinopsis del manga - “Suzushiro Mizuki, es un estudiante de preparatoria que se lamenta por su apariencia femenina, hasta que el Dios Loki lo descubre y decide convertirlo en chica para entretenerse. Ahora Mizuki tendrá que adaptarse a su nuevo cuerpo con la ayuda de su mejor amigo Takeru, mientras piensa en su amor por Fujiwara, su compañera de clase”.

REVIEW -(ALERTA DE ESPOILER)-

Comencemos con la trama; es una que te atrapa a primera vista, ya que nos muestra a nuestro personaje en un problema muy serio y en parte divertido. No siempre se es común despertar un día, y ver que has cambiado de genero. Me encanta el hecho de que le vean la parte cómica del problema. Ya que nuestro protagonista quiere volver a ser el mismo.

En cuestión de dibujo; podemos apreciar el buen trabajo del mangaka. Le pone un buen toque de ecchi en las escenas mas sobresalientes (aunque me parece que exagero en algunas partes), pero estaba divertido, no podemos negar que nos gustan esas escenas.

Los personajes; cada uno de ellos te atrapa. Sus personalidades hacen de este manga único. El hecho de que haigan puesto a Loki como el detonante de la transformación lo hace especial, ya que para el es solo un simple juego (no olvidemos a Thor que se ve muy cute en su forma chibi). El triangulo amoroso que se empieza a formar... el amigo que termina enamorándose del protagonista y la chica que se vuelve su mejor amiga xD (friendzone). Los hermanos musculosos... ahhh, cada uno de ellos son únicos.

En conclusión. Es un manga que te encantara ya que tiene el toque exacto de romance, con mucha comedia de por medio, todo para solucionar un problema inusual. El final es el que muchos premeditábamos, al menos yo ya lo esperaba. Te atrapara! Asi que le pondre un 8/10.

Finally leveled up enough to get the raptor saddle blueprint. Now I feel more free because running around with Spoiled Tofu has made me able to explore the area more.

Ran up the mountain up north to get crystal for my spygalss and fell off a couple of times which was annoying, but in the end I managed to get some while not having every carnivore aggroed on me because the local Rexes and Griffins were having a gang fight.

As for the good news, the two T-Rexes who have been terrorizing me since day 1 are now good as dead. The other one I took advantage of their low level and sicced my girlies on them, and the level 40 one accidentally hit one of the brontos and proceeded to get bitch-slapped into the ocean. I didn’t get to loot the latter tho but its fine a good rex is a dead rex

But as for the bad news, apparently the game devs removed the glitch where you can lower platforms? Which somewhat spoils my plans for building a boat base, because the raft is vulnerable to attacks now it’s not protected with platforms.

BnHA Chapter 278: MOMO IN CHARGE

Previously on BnHA: Deku and Kacchan were all “SIR, THAT’S OUR EMOTIONAL SUPPORT SENSEI” and got really ferocious and made a very passionate attempt to blow Tomura up and it was great. It basically did nothing, but it was still great. AFO was all “COME HERE LIL BRO”, and Tomura was all “silly Sensei, you can’t just take over my mind and body just like that”, and he was very confident of this despite there really being no evidence to back it up, but okay! Gran was all “time to make the fandom mad at me” and grabbed Tomura by the collar and yelled at him about Nana a bit, and then Bakugou and Endeavor made an even MORE passionate attempt to blow up Tomura, which may or may not have done some actual damage. The chapter ended with Gigantomachia battling Mt. Lady, just kinda out of the blue, which is FINE, but she had better be all right, though!

Today on BnHA: Everyone is all “WAUGHH IT’S GIGANTOMACHIA” and running around freaking out about it. The U.A. alums all kick some ass, and pretty much everyone else not from U.A. does jack fucking shit. Mt. Lady, who I plan on naming all of my future children after, does her best to stop Machia but he keeps flinging her aside. Kamui Woods is all “here I come with Midnight to put Gigantomachia to sleep!” and is PROMPTLY FUCKING MURDERED!? by Dabi because he’s a flammable tree man, and so Midnight falls all the way to the ground and is badly injured. So then she’s all “well I better call the most competent person I can think of to fix this mess” and dials up YAOYOROZU FUCKING MOMO, who proceeds to take charge LIKE THE BOSS SHE IS, and mobilizes the rest of the kids. And honestly I have more faith in them than in any of the adults at this point, so yeah, you know what? Let’s do this.

so I am possibly a bit spoiled on this chapter because I did a “top five predictions” post earlier this week, and someone replied to that yesterday on Thursday saying that they were mostly correct. I don’t know exactly how close to the mark I was though, and in any case most of the predictions were just “so-and-so shows up, probably”, so it’s not too bad. we’ll see how it goes!

The boy who gets along super well with everyone cause of his playful nature.

He’s the guy who has the highest tendency to treat you like a pal even when you guys get further in together

Calls you bro/dude (regardless of gender) so you pretty much almost give up romancing him but hey! Its an otome game pfft obv he’d date you on his route, right? ;;;

Heart lvl 1-3; you guys get along rlly well cause you happen to he classmates probably. He always invites you to watch his games [all-rounder, I think he’s not 100% committed to everything so he assists in a lot of sports team]. He’d also invite you to hang out with his bros but you’d turn it down sometimes cause you don’t wanna get in the way, to which he kinda gets sad

Heart lvl 4-6; he starts to get you to go to his secret spots; ones that have rlly good views. Just you and him together and he starts to open up more to you. Still on bro terms tho but best bros

Heart lvl 7-9; he gets pretty touchy like no more friendly hits, he grabs u a lil bit more softer and when he talks to you he talks rlly softly like in a slightly hushed tone. He also likes to just call your name w/o the bro and stare at you and you’re like “???? lvl 10 [confession]; he waits you out of ur house before sunrise and jumps to the window of ur room and tells u to go down right now. Cliche but he brings u to his fav spot and ruffles ur hair and puts his face rlly close to urs and says “I kinda really like you”

You’re like dude finally??? I was sure I was gonna get brozoned??? To which he hugs you and flashes his grin and pinches your nose again and smooshes ur face “Youre the only one that deserves that spot as my best friend and l-lover” and he looks away and hides his face on ur shoulder (///w///)

Biggest tsundere. He’s that athletic baby that prolly feeds on protein- //okno

“Hi I wanna be your friend-“ “not interested,” he says as he focuses on gym and track and field. But www sOmeHow you always pass by him on school grounds.

Heart lvl 1-3; is always telling you to stay away from him cause he prefers to be alone and its better that way anyway. But since you often pass by each other you definitely could not leave him alone right? So eventually you assume the both of u became friends but his tsundere ass says otherwise

Heart lvl 4-6; starts acknowledging you slowly, but still denies. You’re always on his mind and he wonders why is it that you bother with him so much despite the amount of times he just brushes you off, why don’t you dislike him?

Heart lvl 7-9; he blushes with just your presence and refuses to look at you in the eye. So you get frustrated and cup his face to make sure he looks at you. He gets super embarrassed and says that he’s gonna go home early on that day cause he has a bunch of practices to do. Also wags his tail a lot whenever you’re around so he tries his best to hide it. Actually craves for attention whenever you’re not there but too embarrassed to admit so

Lvl 10 [confession]; you really think that he’s uncomfortable around you so you kinda just decided to stay away cause maybe you’re getting into his private space a lil too much? He gets rlly antsy as to why you’ve been avoiding him and one day when u were going him, he just pins you to the wall but looks down on the floor and asks you why is it that he feels anxious whenever you’re not around.

“Are you avoiding me?” he asks in a soft tone and you’re like ??? Aren’t you the one avoiding me?

He looks at you for a lil bit and you just play w his ears and tell how you feel like you’re invading his personal space and that you’re sorry for it :(

“Its not that- its just that- I think? I feel embarrassed whenever you’re with me? And m-my tail just wags its way out- its not like I’m happy or anything yknow?”

“But please, don’t just disappear or avoid me anymore, its weird without you here” he said the last part softly when he snuggles himself into the crook of your neck.

Hard Work // A Karasuhoes Server Collab

You wouldn’t exactly call yourself a perfectionist. It was more of an… insecurity issue. If things don’t go right, how could you even call yourself a successful human being? 

You always worked hard. Assignments, Homework, Tests, Exams… All of those mattered a lot to you. You couldn’t stand the idea of something not going your way. You couldn’t afford anything less than a perfect store. It’s what you study so hard for. You needed to secure your future. 

Then why..? 

You sat at your desk, your phone going off in your bag. Your eyes focused on the test in front of you.. with a big 78 written on it. How were you going to explain that to your parents? The thought made your body shiver, your eyes dull and focused on the paper. You decided to go over the mistakes, trying to understand them. It wasn’t long until you heard your mother’s stern voice calling out to you. Your body tensed at the tone of her voice, causing you to immediately move downstairs. The sight of your mother standing in a scolding position caused you to stopped breathing for a split-second.

 “Would you explain why I received a call from your school?” That sentence was something you’d hoped you’d never have to hear. You were always the most afraid of your mother since you knew she expected the most of you. Your dad didn’t seem to care much as long as you’re happy and you appreciate him for that. She was so crazy about good grades, she personally told your school to inform her if your grades drop.. just like right now. You had no words, you just stood there in silence. It wasn’t like you could argue with her anyway. You had given that up long time ago. 

“I.. can’t. I’ve been working hard, Mother. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong.” Your voice was hushed, not daring to speak up any more than that. You knew what was coming now. You had dreaded this moment ever since you received your test. The way she stared at you made your body tremble. It made you want hide away. But you knew you couldn’t do that. Your boyfriend was expecting you to cheer for him at his match after all. 

You listened to your mother scolding you for about half an hour, sighing to yourself. It was the same every day. The same feeling of unworthiness. The same stress being put on your shoulders. But you had to pull yourself together and get yourself ready for cheering. So, you stepped into your room and put your finest outfit on. Looking at yourself in the mirror, you let out a sigh and decided to push any negative thoughts to the back of your mind. You could worry about that later.  

You were on your way to the match, your mind filling with more and more thoughts. By the time you get there, it’s already gotten worse. You did your best not to let it get to you. 

You walked into the gym, eyes scanning the room to find your boyfriend.

“(Name)!” You heard your sweet boyfriend’s voice call out to you, your eyes softening at the sight of him. “Hey. I’m sorry I took so long.” You apologized, your eyes mirroring the guilt you felt as they fixated onto the gym floor. “I’m just glad you’re here now.” His hand entangled in your hair, giving it a few strokes before he decides to press a kiss to your forehead. “Suga! Everyone’s staring!” You giggled, giving him a light push before he decided to pick you up slightly. “Let them! I want them to see what a super cool girlfriend their Senpai has!” He pointed to himself with his thumb, a confident look on his face. You could only laugh, knowing he was a bit of a show off. “Alright well, i’m going to go to the stands now. Good luck!” You shouted to them, receiving a lot ‘Yeah!’ from the whole team. You blew a kiss to Suga, finally moving back to the stands to cheer. You peered down at the court, watching your boyfriend in action when it was finally his time to shine. You couldn’t have been more proud watching him play so naturally with everyone. It was a beautiful sight. You wished you could contribute anything to just anything. You were lost in thought, forgetting to cheer for the team. Suga noticed this and glanced up at the audience where their team’s banner was located, only to see you with a frown. His brows furrowed as he stared up at you from the bench’s spot since the original player had been put back onto the court and he decided to talk to you about it after the match. 

“Hey, (Name)?” Your boyfriend came up to you after the match and he’d hydrated himself. His face showed pure concern, making your body tense and avoid eye contact. He placed his hands on your shoulders, silently telling you to look at him. “Are you okay? You seem out of it today.” Your body started trembling, too ashamed of the failure on your mind to say anything. The only thing you could think of was to run and so you did. You stopped right by the bathroom and the water fountains, breathing heavily. You slid down the wall, tears spilling down your cheeks. You hid your face in your knees, sobbing silently. Hearing footsteps, your body tensed once again but you decided to ignore it. You couldn’t be bothered to move again. It was even too painful to cry but you didn’t care. You wanted to let it out at least once. 

“She’s here!” A voice shouted, which sounded a lot like Hinata. You could hear more footsteps, sensing that someone was standing right in front of you and you had a feeling you know just who it is. Your sobs got louder, not bothering to hide it anymore. It was obvious it became difficult to breathe. You were coughing, trying to get some air in but for some reason you couldn't. It was only when Sugawara decided to take your face in his hands that it calmed you a little bit. “Hey, just look at me. Breathe.” He whispered, focusing his eyes only on you. His forehead touched yours, waiting for you to calm down. It took you awhile but he waited as long as you had to. When you were ready, you told him everything. Your mom, the pressure, your grades. It was embarrassing to say it in front of the whole team but it helped you so much to let it all out. 

He told you how proud he is to be your boyfriend, how much he loved you and how great you were doing. You loved nothing more than him. You just had to sort your issues out with your mother and life could be daijobu again.

Huhuhuhu, I am always so thrilled to discuss my favorite crime boys!

favorite thing about them - Sodom – He’s so funny, a classic “weeaboo.” Moreso in his winquotes in the Japanese version, where he says things like “DIE JOB DEATH CAR?” in an attempt to use phrases like “daijobu desu ka?” I know that the joke is at the expense of dumb Americans who obsess over Japanese culture and wear random kanji on their shirts, but GOD Sodom is adorable in all his cringe. He looks big and scary, but he’s actually a huge nerd and is probably the least dangerous person in the entire Mad Gear gang.Rolento – His thighs. His theme song is really, really good!

least favorite thing about them - Sodom – He hasn’t been in a SF game for a long time and I just find that really frustrating. All the new and returning characters are fun, don’t get me wrong, but I get the feeling that Sodom has been kinda ignored. I think he was considered for SFV in the early planning stages, but they seem to have changed their minds since then (not that I have anything against the other Final Fight characters we’ve been getting)!Rolento – As silly and over-the-top as his military fixation is, when you think about it, it’s really unnerving that he thinks he can solve the world’s problems/create a nation of peace by using war tactics. But he canonically respects free will, so uh, I guess that’s something! (That, and he has Sodom to keep him in check and call him out when he starts doing something questionable, like GOD I could go on about their friendship/relationship, but I’ll contain myself).

favorite line - Sodom – “I’m not trash! I really have class, I tell you!”Rolento – “I guess I’ll have to rebuild my empire… ON YOUR FACE!”

brOTP - I really think Ibuki is/would be close friends with both of them. In fact, I think that a friendship with Sodom might explain how she ended up teaming up with Rolento in SF x Tekken. She’s like, their wingman or something!

OTP - YES

nOTP - I’m not necessarily put off by other ships, but I’m not very interested in pairings that aren’t each other. Their bond is just too powerful in my eyes. I can’t say I’ve ever been uncomfortable with other ships, it’s just more of a “I don’t get it, but that art is nice” sort of thing.

random headcanon - Rolento’s comment in Street Fighter Alpha 3 about them being “blood brothers” is literal, as in, I headcanon that they actually performed a ritual blood bond to officiate their mutual loyalty to one another.

unpopular opinion - Sodom – From what I understand, originally when they released Final Fight in the U.S., they changed Sodom’s name to “Katana” because it wasn’t as suggestive, or something. But honestly I think the name generally works better for him. Like, it fits his personality that he’d be so into Japanese culture that he’d name himself after a Japanese sword.Rolento – I don’t like his English voice that much in Street Fighter 4. This isn’t a negative about Dameon Clarke or anything (I loved him as Jack in the Borderlands series), I just feel like the voice itself sounds younger than what I imagine Rolento would sound like.

My account of the first night of Junho’s FLASHLIGHT tour in Nagoya (3)

 Nagoya! Nagoya!

This is really good.  (In Korean and then in Japanese, referring to our cheers.)

Are you having fun?

Are you all hyped up?

Nagoya! “Ii kanji?” (Are you feeling good?) [“Ii kanji!]

 As I sing one song and then another, each song reminds me of the time I spent with you. And I feel really honoured to be able to spend this moment with you now. Are you happy (“shiawase”) to spend this moment with me, too?  [“Shiawase!” (We are happy!)]

“Hontou-desuka?” (Truly?)  [“Hontou!”]

 In the midst of this happy time, I’m afraid . . . [Nooooooooo!] (Junho looks at a loss but simultaneously a bit content.) In the midst of this happy time, it’s really sad that I have to make this announcement that we are coming into the final section of the concert, though there are still lots to enjoy. Still, I’m afraid the time has come for me to bid you farewell.

 Junho has to hush us again and then breathes a sigh. Looking at his fans in their eyes, he laughs a bit (out of embarrassment), to which Hottests respond with accommodating smiles. It seems like he cannot find the words to express his feelings for a while. He looks all around slowly, smiling, as if he’s trying to see us all, and then he gradually starts to talk.

 I’m really sad about this, and I don’t want to part with you. But like I always say, I hope you have fun with me now to the very end . . . so that you won’t have any regrets. (“koukai shinai youni”)

 I guess I’ve just given you all a huge let-down, and you might feel not doing anything right now.

Everybody! Everybody! Are you feeling OK? (“daijobu”)  [“Daijobu” (Fine!)]

[How about you, Junho?] “Daijobu” . . . not. Okay. Hmm, I don’t know any more! (This sounds like a spontaneous response in a casual conversation, and makes us feel like we are having a tête‐à‐tête with Junho!)

 The fact that all of you are feeling this way, really, though this is a sad moment, somehow makes me happy. Do you understand how I feel? I feel sad, and I don’t want to go home yet, but this is fun because I can feel that you and I are feeling the same way.

 However, I’m afraid this is the last part . . . 

[Noooooooooo! Start it all over again!]

I can’t start it all over again. I myself want to do it all over again from the beginning all the time! Personally, if I can do as I wish, I want to do it all over again from the Kimi no Koe tour. [Hottests scream with delight.] 

The Kimi no Koe tour, and then FEEL, LAST NIGHT . . . what’s next? [HYPER!] HYPER . . . and the next? [S/S] Nope, there was LAST HYPER NIGHT, even though this was not a tour. And then? [S/S] S/S, the next? [Fuyu no Shonen] Fuyu no Shonen, and that leads to today’s concert, doesn’t it?

 All of you! Shall we make this more exciting to the very end!? So that we won’t have any regrets, to the last moment . . . 

Wait, your voice . . . let’s try again . . . Everybody, your voice is . . . [“chiisai!”] . . . isn’t it? 

Your voice should be . . . [“ookii!” (loud)] . . . “ooki-ku”(loudly) please! For your cheers will give me strength.

 Everybody! All of you in Nagoya, shall we go on to the next song?

Before that . . . (to Kazu-san) could you bring me my jacket? (He puts on the jacket.)

Okay now. [Hottests: Sooooo coooooool!]

It’s really hard to go to the next song . . .

I don’t want to proceed, but I have to because this is a concert.

 Junho stands still for a moment, looking like he cannot find the words to express his feelings. Meanwhile, the screen in the back shows Junho, and we scream. Junho doesn’t get why we are so excited at first, and when he finally looks back and sees himself on the screen, he says; “It’s just me.” (In a “so-what’s-new?” kind of manner.) Even his matter-of-factly reaction makes us happy. Then the cameraman on his right begins to shoot a close-up of his profile, and Hottests begin to gasp and yell how handsome he is. Responding to our voice, Junho makes cool faces at the camera. After making a few poses, he suddenly gets shy and that makes him more adorable.

 Teacyeon-san is good at this kind of things (making cool faces), isn’t it? He always takes off his sunglasses like this . . . and looks cool, but I feel so embarrassed I can’t do it. (Junho actually imitates Teacyeon here, and then smiles in embarrassment. Hottests like his shy act, and begin to shout at him, “Do it again!”)

 What? What do you want me to do again? What? Which one? What again? Tell me what you want me to do again. I’ll do anything. So, tell me. I’ll do it all. (He makes a cool face for us, pretending to take off his sunglasses like Teacyeon, apparently believing that’s what we want, and then looks down in embarrassment, which is what we actually enjoy more.)

 I don’t get it. What do I have to do (to please you)? [Hottests: So handsome!!! Cool!!!] What is? The sunglasses? But I don’t have sunglasses on. (He makes a few poses for the camera and then laughs shyly again.)

 Personally, I think I look better from this (left) side than from this (right) side. (The camera starts to shoot his profile from his left side, and again Junho makes a cool face for us and then gets shy.)

 Oh, my, really . . . I’m doing this because this is the last, you know. I feel really embarrassed when I make these faces and do things like this. I’d do all these well when I am on stage with other members of 2PM, because it’s not like I’m doing it alone, which makes me shy like this. If there are the six of us, I feel like we are having fun on stage together, and it’s different from when I’m doing solo. . . (Hottests react to each of Junho’s shy acts and smiles, and Junho seems like he doesn’t know how to look. Junho stands still and smiles, just like that, without doing anything in particular, and he still looks just so fine that Hottests can’t get enough of him.)

 I’m happy that you appreciate everything I do, whatever I do. Thank you very much. Seems like I make you happier talking like this with you, rather than singing songs. [That’s not it!]

 Junho shyly laughs at his own words, and then tries to switch into the singer Junho.

 This is a song I haven’t performed yet. Someday . . . Later . . . Someday. The new songs in the album that I haven’t sung today will be shown to you at Budokan and Oosaka-jo-Hall. So, I have to save the talk and all till then.

 This concludes the first day of my FLASHLIGHT tour in Nagoya. Thank you all very much for always spending the beginning and the end of summer together with me. [Thank you!] You give me “the summer happiness” which is the biggest present for me. I really appreciate it. Thanks to you, summer became the signature season for me. But even the seasons change; from spring to summer to autumn to winter, and to the next year and then the next, I and all members of 2PM will always be with you.  I’m going to introduce the members on my dance team and my band for this solo tour. (He introduced some new members and some familiar members on his dance team saying; “she’s new,” “he’s a regular,” “he comes from time to time,” and so on. And then he spoke in Korean a bit, which I couldn’t get. BTW, a friend of mine who went to Got7’s concert told me that she recognised some of the dancers from Junho’s previous tours there. That might be part of the reason he’s got new dancers on his team.)

 Next are my band members.

On the keyboard, the band leader, Sonoda Ryo-san. Always the same . . . (I couldn’t catch it). I always enjoy reading your tweets on Twitter! Higeshiro Ken-san on the drums. Always the same hairstyle. Thank you very much. Nikamoto Ryosuke-san on base. Always the same hat. Thank you very much. And the next is . . . (to Katori-san) Let’s make a cool face! A cool face! (They make a cool face together at the camera.) He’s been supporting me since my first solo tour in Japan. He is younger than I.  

 And now . . . (Junho was about to show his gratitude to the staff when some fans pointed out he hadn’t called out Katori-san’s name.) I said it. I did say it. I called him “Katori-kun.” Well, then, Katori-kun! I’m going to call his name again. Katori-kun!

 And now, there are so many people on the staff who made this concert possible. Thank you very much.

 Okay, please look at me now. (as Hottests were looking back to find Junho’s Mom.) This is my concert. So, all of you in Nagoya, did you enjoy today’s concert? [Yes!] Really? [Yes!]

 Having spent this fun time together, I am very happy, aaaand I enjoyed it a lot, aaaand it was really good, aaaand I’m really grateful. Oh, my, what am I doing today? . . . “arigato-gozaimasu-shi” wouldn’t do . . .

 (The conjunctive particle “shi” can be used after verbs and adjectives when the speaker wants to express two or more things that are similar in nature or concepts together in one sentence. Junho’s use of this “shi” has become one of his signature Japanese usages since he made a charming mistake of adding “shi” to words that require “dashi” instead long ago. Now he knows it’s not the correct usage, but he still uses it for us as it has become something like a code between him and the Japanese Hottests. And this time, he added “shi” even to “arigato-gozaimasu” which made him laugh himself.)

As he sings, Junho chokes and we see tears welling up in his eyes. He manages to sing to the end, but big drops of tears roll down once he finishes singing. Watching him cry makes Hottests emotional, too. We cannot do anything but call out his name. Junho responds to the Hottests but the cracking of his voice affects us more.

 Thank you very much. This marks the beginning of this summer. Please enjoy this summer with me to the very end. Of course, there would be some people who wouldn’t be able to come to the following concerts, but that’s fine, too. Your feelings will still reach me. Cheer for me from your home.

Theme Performers Chosen for "Lady Layton" Anime

  Who's providing the themes for Katrielle Layton's first anime outing? It's not a mystery anymore!

  Layton Detective Agency ~Katrielle's Mystery Solving Files~ will get an ED performed by Lady Layton herself, Kana Hanazawa. The theme is titled "Daijobu." On OP duties is singer Kana Adachi with "Change!"

    Meanwhile, a new voice has been added to the roster. Hibiku Yamamura (Mio of Keijo!!!!!!!!) will be appearing as Scotland Yard criminal analyst Geraldine Royer (Emiliana Perfetti in the English localization), who has declared herself Katrielle Layton's rival.

    Layton Detective Agency ~Katrielle's Mystery File~ premieres this April.

So, Dragon Ball Super recently hit it’s 100th episode milestone...

I was watching it yesterday with my younger brother and somewhere halfway through the episode he told me:

“I'm bored. DBS is boring.”

And you know what? I have to agree with him. I’m also bored with this arc of Super.

So that made me wonder: Why is that so?

 and if that’s the case,

 Why am I still watching this anime?

The answer to the second question is pretty simple: It’s for my beloved characters. Because more Super means more Dragon Ball content and more Dragon Ball means more character interactions.

Now that I think about it, the parts of DBS that I‘ve enjoyed the most are those slice-of-life/filler episodes, with their more light-hearted, DB-esque plots and loads of character development (with my absolute favourites, episodes 1,2,43, 69 and 70). They have this quasi-fanfiction/fanservice vibe to them that I absolutely don’t mind.

This partially answers the first question: Why am I bored with this arc?

With the “preperation arc” behind us and with the actual tournament started a few weeks ago, I've thought that I’d be on the hype train with everybody by now. But that didn’t happen. Because for me this current arc has even more flaws than the Future Trunks one, which I’d like to point out:

1. The Lack of tension and threat

With all canon debates aside, let's be honest here: Dragon Ball Super is basically a filler that takes place between the Buu Saga and the EoZ. So whatever happens in Super we will still know the outcome, that in the end everybody will be daijobu for the 28th Tenkaichi Budokai.

As for the other universes and their fate, it doesn't really matter to me. Because I'm  mostly concerned for our uni 7 and our cast, not a load of freshly introduced guys with whom I have no emotional connection. So why should I give a doodle about them? Well, I don't. And that even is the case for the universe 6. I simply didn't have enough time to get aquainted with that characters, get to care about them. I see them on the screen for just a brief moment, often not even knowing their names until they are shown on the end credits or Toei's webside.

2. Power scaling doesn't make sense anymore

Power scaling in Dragon Ball Super is a mess at it seems to bother a lot of people. When the problem started earlier in the series (eg. Future Trunks' preposterous power-ups/feats), recently, it has reached a whole new level of absurdity, with characters being as strong as the plot requires them to be. (With Krillin and now Kale being the prime examples.)

This uncertainty about characters' power also affects the way I experience the battles in this arc. I simply don't know if the fighters are going all out of if they are holding back.

The holding back itself bothers me a lot. Not only it is a failed attempt to create artifitial tension but for me it even lowers the stakes of that tournament: if the characters are not giving everything to survive maybe the threat is not that great?

Also the fights I've seen so far were pretty mediocre for me with few above-average moments. I've seen better choreographed fights in the series.

3. "The Preparations saga"

I'll say this right of the bat: I didn't really enjoy that segment of the story where Goku was scouting fighters for the universe 10 team. First of all, most of that episodes had the same plot:

 Goku asks X to join the team -> X initially refuses -> Goku spars/helps X and bribes him with a fake promise about the prize money -> X agrees to join the team.

 And because we already knew the roster it was no surprise to us that a character would eventually join the team so there was no point in creating artifitial suspence weather or not a certain character would join the team, because in the end it was know he would! Therefore, I didn't feel any progression to the plot, the whole thing felt dragged out and piontless. So I got bored even before the tournament started. It successfully kept me from getting on the hype train. Secondly, with the whole Frieza thing: on one hand I'm kinda glad it happened, because it creates opportunities for the galactic emperor to have unique interactions with other teammates and with Frost and it actually gives the Resurrection F arc some meaning but at the same time it feels like it was done just for the sake of making a change, whatever it would be. (And I don't even want to mention that cheap way they got rid of Buu... I'm still salty about it.)

It also angers me that in that time we were hinted/told of the importance of teamwork at that it may pay a major role in the tournament, but as of now with the whole introduction of Frieza contradicting this idea (he it the walking opposite of teamwork) it also seems that in the end cooperation won’t matter at all.

I’m sorry if this post seems chaotic, I was writing stuff from the top of my head and it’s just the tip of the iceberg of issuses I have with DBS. But that’s all for now. I’m sorry, I just had to vent it somewhere.

KiraFes 2017 - 3 / 4 Day 1 Fan Report

So I went to KiraFes 2017 day 1 on March 4th. This was my third year participating in KiraFes! :3

Zoey and I took a taxi (my first taxi experience in Japan!) to Yokohama Arena. There were already girls lined up (what time did they get up and get there!?) but the line wasn’t too bad in my opinion. We waited for 4 hours and along the way, Misae joined us before they started selling at 8:45.

I only got one thing.

Once we got our goods, we went to Tully’s and stared at the pamphlet. Eventually, we killed some more time and we lined up to get in.

Of course I took pictures of the flower stands! xD

Even though I hit for the first application period, I got stands seats… orz but it turns out that the venue wasn’t too big!

After going in, I decided to go to the restroom and barely got to my seat right when they started.

I’m sure you can find a set-list for KiraFes somewhere! And as for my brief fan-report, I’m gonna just talk about songs for each group/singer that left an impression on me some parts will be out of order, okay? Each singer/group sings two or three songs and then change. xD

Trignal started things off this year with Update a Day. I think they were a bit nervous but I was really excited that they started off KiraFes! There was a cool 3D screen in addition to other screens. I didn’t like Wing’s hairstyle that much… even with his hair, I still love him. He gives out such great fanservice!! He waved to us a lot!! Egu’s mushroom hair was cute and Ryohei looked really good. <333

I screamed when I heard Blazing! I really love that song! (especially when it was performed at Trigal’s live with suit) but <333

Kamiya sang a few song that I thought was cute. He started off with a cute song as the second one up.

And of course the one that left an impression on me was that one song Ism Rhythm. A 40+ year old man doing hip thrusts and a sexy dance. He was holding the mic stand suggestively as well. And even did a hand motion to his err crotch. XD LOTS of screaming and fangirls dying. I was just really amused that he did it like it was nothing. XDDD

Oh and when he sang his official cover of “Nagareboshi,” it just made me miss Miyu. (Because it’s originally Miyu’s song but this is Kamiya’s cover… and it’s the rock version of it).

NamiDai was the third person up! XD

I remember he sang pretty cool songs! He danced a lot!! For one of his songs, a part of his jacket glowed in the dark! We were like oooooh!

Kakki was the fourth one up! My first thought was, “Oh, he was definitely a bit sick last year for KiraFes.” Because his voice was a lot deeper last year but this time, he sounded fine! He definitely has a unique way of singing! Othello was a really cool song! He put on a hat for the song.

Nobu was the next one up! At one point, he came out with a traditional Japanese outfit and did a cool dance with a Japanese fan! For another song, I clearly remembering thinking, “Wow… he can do body rolls.”

He was the last singer for KiraFes. Nobu talked about things that gave us a lot of FEELS… I can’t really remember what he said but they were very heartfelt. He talked about how there were many kinds of “Daijobu?” (Are you okay?) and how we are supported by those around us… that kind of talk. I think he also said the other members in Kiramune encouraged him to write the song. <3 Then he asked for everyone’s cooperation for the next song: 8piece. It’s a really great song!! He sang, “Daijobu” and the fans follow up with “Daijobu.” Nobu looked so emotional and looked as if he was gonna cry. AHHHHH ;w; As he was singing, these paper (actually I found out later that they were styrofoam) birds were released and flying around. I thought they were 3D images for some reason. XD Later I found out that some of them had signatures from the Kiramune members! XD

Yocchin looked really good! He sang while playing the guitar! At first it was acapella so it was nice. His voice also didn’t sound as rough as it usually did when he sung the song.

There was an ad-lib song… more like a song of him talking and he was using a megaphone for that song. XD I could hear him pretty clearly with the megaphone compared to the microphone. It was pretty interesting! I felt a bit confused because I had never heard such a song before.

Uncle Bomb!! sang pretty cool songs. There was this one song which sounded like a Spanish song… and they brought out these gold or silver capes and danced with them (think of bull-fighting capes).

The talk corner happened after every member/group sang two or three songs. It was a bit awkward with NamiDai trying to lead the convo. XDDD If you have seen him, you would know he’s the awkward one in the group and usually gets bullied by others… even by kouhais. XD The other members didn’t try to help. They couldn’t understand what he was trying to say and neither did we. XD

He even started a random topic going, “What do you do when you first enter a hotel?” So random! The other members thought it was a weird question as well. They were like, “What do you mean what do you do??” XD

At one point, Kamiya and NamiDai talked about something relating to their age and Wing went, “Shouldn’t you go, “Jiji janai!” (I’m not an old man!) in a cute voice. If you know Wing’s catch phrase… His catch phrase is “I’m not an old lady!” NamiDai asked him if he was a “bishojo (girl)” and he said he wasn’t. xDD When asked about the gender, Wing says that his gender is unidentified. XDDD He’s seriously so cuuuute!

When Kamiya left to get ready for the next song, I felt like the talk corner got even more awkward. Ryohei led the convo.at one point asking if there was anything the members wanted to try. NamiDai said he wanted to do something like the Tarzan kinda thing? XD

Anyway, after Nobu ended KiraFes, he left the stage and the fans began to chant, “Encore!” Though actually not everyone was saying it at the same time. XD

Encore time!

Then all the members came out and they sang Ever Dream!

Kakki started with Lesson A to B!!! You know how there was a break in the song? Well, Ryohei came onto the stage with other staff. The staff had an AB paper taped on his/her front or back? Kakki asked what they were doing here and Ryohei announced that they’re the AB team! Ryohei’s blood-type is AB. (Which made me miss Miyu because he’s AB too!!). Kakki asked Ryohei what a typical thing people with AB blood-type experience is. Ryohei answered, “When someone asks you, “What blood-type are you?” And then you answer, “Oh, AB.” And then he/she goes, “O-ohhh…” XDDD Like that reaction. It was really amusing. And then Kakki continued with the song and Ryohei joined in for a few parts! AHHHH

Wasshoi – Yocchin sang this song! And later on, Egu and Nobu joined and waved flags.

Panorama Soda – Trignal sang the song and toward the end of the song, the spotlight was on NamiDai and Kakki. And they were both laying down on beach chairs with sunglasses and sipping from a fancy glass with a flower on it (cocktail?). They were acting cool with the sunglasses. Trignal looked at them as if asking them, “What are you doing here? What are you doing?” kinda look. Ryohei tried to bother Kakki but Kakki just ignored him, acting cool. XD

Next was Kamiya with Harebare Heart!

Want You – Nobu sang the song and was eventually joined by Yocchin and Kamiya… and they even did the cute dance!!! Then they gathered together and Nobu suggested that they danced together so they did! Then Nobu suggested that they blow a kiss at the “I want you!” part. And each of them did it!! Kamiya did it with an unsure face. Yocchin seemed to exaggerate it if I remember? Then they did it together at the end!!

Funky Wave – NamiDai sang it and we participated in the wave! It’s a really fun song! Then toward the end, Trignal came out with a big electric fan and aimed it at NamiDai while Kakki threw big pieces of paper at him, which hit his face. All of the Kiramune members minus Kamiya joined in for the dance for Funky Wave. The dance moves looked like fish flopping. XD And Kamiya came at the end to do a tsukkomi.

I was so happy to hear Get Together! It’s one of my favorite songs

Then each of them gave a closing comment.

And finally, announcements were made!

Kiramune fan-meeting in Kyoto on July 30th!!! Egu, Ryohei, Kamiya, Yocchin, and NamiDai will attend!

And Trignal and Nobu joint live on September 30th and October 1st!!! When it was Trignal’s turn to give announcements, Ryohei dragged Nobu to read them. XD OMGGG Nobugnal! This is the first time I’ve ever heard of a joint live so I’m really excited!

I always enjoy attending KiraFes!!! It’s great to see all of them singing their songs although I missed Miyu. ;w; I will apply for the Kiramune fan meeting and try for Trignal and Nobu’s joint live if possible! I wonder what it will be like… xD

This should be the last of the fanreports I needed to write! I don’t think I’ll write one for Servamp! xD It’ll come out in DVD so... :3 Anyway, until next time! :3

Road to KPOP-Star : Stage and drama

JYP avait proposer pleins de chansons, mais Miyuki et Asami le mirent dehors alors que le CEO de la Sma, Elrick souriait. JYP s'approcha de son 'collègue' et montra la porte.

« You see what they did to me ? » marmonna JYP

« I trust Myu to make this memorable. » Fit Elrick « We trusted him for over a decade, he has never decieved me. » dit-il

« He's from your own label isn't he ? » demanda JYP

« Since he's 14. He signed with my dad. » expliqua Elrick « He's good at managing stuff. Miyuki Hazawa is prob's my best element in japan, 'cause that guy made his whole concert by himself. He has no creative team. At all. A manager, a camera guy and that's it. »

« So you think he can do it ? » fit JYP

« I don't think Jinyoung. I know. » dit Elrick simplement « And with Jaejoong by his side, I know for sure this will be amazing. »

Dans la salle Miyuki avait éparpillé sur le sol les chansons, Jaejoong balançait les trois-quarts et ils arrivèrent à un total de 4 chansons. Ils posèrent le 4 chansons sur la table et appelèrent Asuna, Asuka, Asami et Asuma.

« On a fait le trie dans les chansons et on en a prit 4 » fit Miyuki calmement « A vous de choisir »

« Aucune chanson de BTS. » fit Asuna

« Autant j'adore BTS, ils n'ont aucune chanson qui nous permettrait de nos capacités vocales. » expliqua Miyuki « Et nos capacités de danseurs ne sont pas aussi élever que les leurs. »

« C'est pas faux. » dit Asuna en fixant Asuma

« Eh j'y peux rien. » marmonna Asuma

« On a tenu compte des capacités de chaque un et du thème et voilà ce qui en ressort. » fit Jaejoong

« C'est pas mal. » dit Asuna en souriant « J'ai une préférence pour celle-ci »

« You really like fucked up stuff » nota Miyuki

« You chose only fucked up stuff baby. » lança Asuna en riant

« True. » dit Miyuki en riant

« Je l'aime aussi beaucoup » dit Asuma

« Pareil » fit Asami

« Je me range à l'avis de la majorité » dit Asuka

« Alors celle-ci ce sera » dit Jaejoong « En avant pour les répètes. »

Danser et chanter, coordonné tout. C'était pas une mince affaire, dress-rehearsal, c'était pas évident. Mais étrangement Miyuki et Jaejoong s'en était sortis. Étrangement ils avaient réussit a coordonné tout et le résultat était génial. Ils étaient maintenant à 5 minutes de monter sur scène lors d'un music show et Jaejoong tournait en rond de nervosité. C'est Asuka qui s'approcha du coréen et vint l'enlacer avec tendresse.

« Daijobu desu ka ? » demanda la petite Asuka en souriant

« Daijobu yo... » marmonna Jaejoong

« Il est stressé Asuka-chan. » fit Miyuki doucement, il se poussa pour montrer Yunho « Mais j'ai appeler du renfort. »

Jaejoong se nicha immédiatement dans les bras de Yunho et Miyuki sourit en allant prévenir les autres qu'il était temps de monter sur scène. Jaejoong n'avait plus fait de music show de cet ampleur depuis tellement longtemps. En plus c'était du live pour le coup. Mais comme l'avait dit Yunho, c'était comme en concert. Rien ne changeait.  Jaejoong finit par se séparer de Yunho et rejoignit la team. Il attendait, en serrant las main d'Asuna et Miyuki.

« Je vous demande d'accueillir chaleureusement CJ-Japan pour leur debut stage » annonça Leeteuk avec un énorme sourire

Ils montèrent sur scène et prirent place. Quand Monster commença jouer EXO dans la salle se leva. Comment allaient-ils reprendre 9 chanteurs à 6 ? Et surtout comment allaient-ils faire la danse ? Eh bien ils avaient fait à leur sauce. La première a chanter et donc à assumer les paroles de Baekhyun c'était Asuna. Elle portait un pantalon en cuir, des cuissardes à talons aiguilles et ses longues mèches noirs avaient été bouclés. Son haut était un corset noir couvert d'un haut en tissus transparent rouge clair. Son maquillage était sombre et son rouge à lèvres rouge pétant. Sur ses yeux il y avait des lentilles rouges et elle s'était faufiler entre danseurs, tel un jaguar élégant, et avait remonter sa jambe le long de celle de Miyuki, qui portait les vêtement de son make-over, il avait attraper ses cheveux pour chanter là suite, prenant les paroles de DO pour lui. Vint Asuka qui arriva en chantant les paroles de Suho et Xiumin. Ils jouaient une mélange habile des pas de base de la chanson mélangé au Paso doble et au Tango remplaçant toutes les figures complexe pas des pas de tango/doble. Asuna était la partenaire de Miyuki, Asuka celle de Jaejoong, qui portait les mêmes vêtements que lors du make-over et il chantait les paroles de Chen et Lay. Asami elle était la partenaire d'Asuma, et elle aussi avait revue sa tenue. Elle portait des bas résille, un short en cuir, des mitaines à clous et un t-shirt déchiré rouge sur un corset en cuir. Ses cheveux étaient lisser et son maquillage aussi lourd que celui d'Asuna et Asuka faisait ressortir ses yeux rouge grâce aux lentilles. A ses pieds des bottines à talons aiguilles et pour sa part elle rappait les paroles de Chanyeol et Sehun était pour Asuma qui rockait le style imposer par Key.  Une fois la performance terminé les six partaient à l'interview avec Heechul et Leeteuk.

« Wahouuu, quelle performance ! » dit Leeteuk

« Sexyyyy » siffla Heechul

Il tendit la main en riant a Asami, qui entra dans son jeu et vint se coller à lui en riant. Leeteuk posa les questions de base quand il fallut choisir un leader, tous se tournaient vers Miyuki qui était entrain de regarder ailleurs

« Nani ? » s'étonna Miyuki

« Tu as été unanimement désigné Leader ! » dit Leeteuk

« Oh... » Miyuki rit doucement

Un fou-rire parcourut le groupe avant de regagner les coulisses, ou Miyuki et Jaejoong retrouvèrent Super-Junior. Miyuki vit Siwon regarder Donghae et soupira longuement.

« Après tout ce temps ? » murmura Miyuki

« pour toujours.... » souffla-t-il désespéré « Est-ce que tu crois qu'un jour il s'en rendra compte ? » demanda Siwon.

« Moi, tu sais, je suis un grand optimiste, alors j'y crois. » fit Miyuki doucement

« Moi... j'ai arrêté d'y croire... » soupira Siwon « Une punition divine d'aimer un homme qui ne m'aimeras jamais peut-être... »

« Ah Kami-sama n'est pas aussi cruel que tu semble les penser voyons... » fit Miyuki

Puis le regard de Miyuki se posa sur Eunhyuk qui embrassait à pleine bouche IU … et le regard horrifié, blessé … Donghae s'en alla, attrapant la main de Miyuki au passage et sortit du bâtiment. Miyuki l'avait suivit, un peu forcé, fit signe a Jungkook que c'était normal et une fois hors du bâtiment, Donghae frappa dans le mur. Le japonais soupira longuement et prit la main du coréen pour qu'il cesse de se faire mal.

« Pourquoi ? Pourquoi après toutes ces années il me fait ça ? » gémit Donghae « Pourquoi ? »

« Je ne sais pas Donghae, pourquoi tu m'as emmener moi ? » demanda Miyuki

« Parce que … toi... t'es pas dans super-junior, tu peux pas me juger... » marmonna Donghae en pleurs

« Je ne juge jamais personne. » fit Miyuki en caressant les cheveux de Donghae « Qu'est-ce que Super-Junior te dirait dis-moi ? »

« Que c'était courru d'avance... l'armée à du … je sais pas … changer sa vision du monde ?... de nous ? » Donghae renifla « Que je m'accroche pour rien . . . que je devrais peut-être suivre l'exemple de Sungmin .   .   .  qu'aimer les hommes c'est pas bien..»

« Ecoute moi...  si Heechul a dis ça, je lui arracherais personnellement les yeux. » dit Miyuki « ensuite, tu ne dois pas te marier parce que tu en as l'âge... Hyukjae à peut-être changer à cause de l'armée mais toi tu es resté le même. Si il ne voyait pas votre relation sérieusement, alors pourquoi tu souffrirais pour lui ? »

«N-non... Heenim n'a pas dit ça mais...M-Mais... je l'aime. » murmura Donghae

« Je sais, je le vois... mais Donghae, moi je connais quelqu'un qui meurt d'amour pour toi mais que tu n'as jamais vu. » dit Miyuki « Hyuk n'est peut-être pas le bon... »

« Mais … j'ai connu que lui... comment tu veux que … je sache autre chose ? » murmura Donghae

« Donghae... courir après lui, n'est pas la solution. Plus tu le feras, plus tu souffriras... » dit Miyuki

« Et .. tu dis que quelqu'un m'aime ? » marmonna Donghae en essuyant ses yeux

« Oh c'est assez évident. » dit Miyuki « Je te laisse t'en rendre compte par toi-même. »

Miyuki recula doucement alors que dans l'entrée de la porte, Siwon attendait anxieusement. Miyuki passa à côté de lui et leva les yeux.

« Don't fuck this chance up, Choi Siwon. » dit-il sachant parfaitement que Siwon avait compris et Donghae pas. 

Il s'en alla vers l'intérieur et laissa Donghae pleurer dans les bras de Siwon. Il espérait que Donghae se remette... mais il avait confiance en Siwon pour ça. Il ouvrit la porte de sa loge et vit Jaejoong allongé sur la table de maquillage, jambes écarté, se faisant violemment par Yunho. Miyuki referma la porte et se massa les tempes. Restant devant la porte. Bordel, il était trop vieux pour ces conneries..
