hey everyone! in honor of my return to tumblr, i decided to do my first ever writing event to get myself motivated to start writing again and be more active on my blog. for this event, i decided to reunite two of my favorite things: attack on titan and tayor swift.

what is it: since i love attack on titan and taylor swift, I sometimes write drabbles based on taylor swift's songs. so, i decided to make a full event where i'll write oneshots or drabbles for an attack on titan character, based on a taylor swift's song.

how it works: i haven't established yet for how long i would continue this event, but i'll keep you updated. anyway, for the event i joined below a list of characters and songs for which i would write, and all you have to do is to send me your request and i'll do my best to do it soon. i'll start the event by writing something first, then you can request whatever. please note that i won't write for the same song if it was already used twice.

this line from Cowboy Like Me by Taylor Swift always reminded me of eremika and i’m surprised no one has edited them to this song yet;

basically the gardens of babylon are very beautiful gardens and are considered to be one of the seven wonders of the world but there is no archeological proof that they ever existed, just the spoken word of it

and that reminded me of cabin eren, how this version of eren that is so sweet, vulnerable and kind in contrast to the devil of paradis only exists in mikasa’s memories

the only proof that cabin eren existed is of mikasa’s word

and also the fact that he quite literally hangs from her lips

and hear me out!!!! the line “with your boots beneath my bed” rhymes with “with your scarf around my neck”

and of course eren had once promised to wrap that scarf around her, forever

but the word forever in of itself is a deception, nothing ever lasts forever

hence forever is the sweetest con.

just part 1!!! the uprising arc is horribly adapted which i'm livid about for two of my favorite characters in the whole shebang, historia and kenny. if i buy any of the manga it'll be volumes 13-17, maybe 18 (for keith 😘). someone who's been in the fandom longer probably has sources for this but my understanding is yams was unhappy with his writing/probably internalized criticism from manga readers too hard and told WIT to change A Lot generally not for the better. imo this is where ending haters first started complaining about the story's direction because, you know, the morality was getting more adult and nuanced

idk where you are in your manga read but two chapters i'm always screaming about are 51 and 65 if you want to skip ahead for just Some of what WIT cut or truncated beyond belief: historia's "worst girl in the world" bit looks unjustified and edgelord-y because her messier moments/total breakdown of krista's identity are cut; levi is sanitized to make kenny look worse; there's earlier hints about grisha and the founder (and frieda) that make eren seem, idk, softer and imo transfem; new squad levi does Not like him at first; i can go on and on and i HAVE. in fact i'm so bothered i'll just throw some of my favorite pages under the cut if tumblr lets me
