The Akiyamas moved away from the hustle and bustle of the city to the quiet town where Kado was raised. The commute will be a sacrifice, but Kado and Jenna hope the close-knit community and beautiful natural atmosphere of the region will be worth it. Kado was surprised at the recent news that his childhood sweetheart Megumi Ito has also moved back to Mt. Komorebi. He’d love nothing more to leave the past in the past but the pieces of his broken teenaged heart are still tender.

Miki is a member of the Pterodactyls, who dont care about looking silly, they just want to have fun.

Taku is a member of Matisse, the serious artists (serious for kids).

Kat: Quirky, creative, a hopeless romantic… Kat is a sweetheart who has aspirations to chase a career in fashion. Her dark secret: She's obsessed with dinosaurs and other buried secrets. While part of her would like to give up fashion and pursue archaeology, it's a little out of her comfort zone. For now, she's content to collect as many dino-curios and fossils as she can and display them around the house… or is she?

Anyway, I was giving the Akiyamas a quick makeover and realised the Kat Jenkins template was probably used for Jenna, so now Jenna and Kat are sisters.

Even though Kado was too sad to work very hard the whole year after Miki passed, he somehow managed to get a promotion.

Taji is dating Liliana Markovic. She's the only one who gets his awkwardness.

Nika turns 13!

So like the Itos, the Akiyamas were a family I wanted to play with but got distracted by being able to have a rainbow llama farm and rabbits in sweaters. Kado: He’s the high school ex of Megumi and seems weirdly bored with his relationship despite his wife being objectively awesome. So he’s probably going to end up hitting it. I hope he and Jenna can make it through that though tbf if I were Jenna I wouldn’t. I’ve never seen them divorce on any playthroughs so, who even knows. Jenna: Poor Jenna. She apparently has a Tartosa message in a bottle talking about how she has doubts about her marriage and, yeah. Sorry girl, they’re founded. If they divorce, I see her going on an Eat, Pray, Love type journey of banging every hottie she can, eating tasty food, and going on hella adventures. Taku: A cute little artsy kid whose parents are going through some stuff? Sounds like some very sad paintings are going to be happening during puberty. Miki: As aforementioned, I have a deep love for Goofball sims (PRO TIP: Turn off emotional deaths on MCCC), so seeing that she was one gave her so much more personality. No idea what else to do with her, maybe she can prank her dad a bunch
