Usha: "Heyyyy!"
Brennan: *laughs*
Ally: "This incel. Heyyy!"

Brennan: *laughs*
Usha: *looks down* "Oh my gosh, I'm skin and bones! Disgusting! Okay, okay."
Man: "G13, the protocol. Upload it."
Usha: "Who is this? Is this Lisa's husband?"
Man: "What?"
Usha: "Can I talk to Lisa? I just want to patch my granddaughter in."

Brennan: "Go ahead and take a turbo token. What does Usha do, as she cannot upload the Shadow protocol?"
Usha: "This is huge!"
Rekha: "And she sticks it into just a slot she sees, which is just the space between two machines, and maybe it starts sparking. It's not a place you're supposed to-"
Ally: "you put it into the fan vent."
Rekha: "Yeah yeah, exactly! And it shreds up."
Brennan: "You hear,"
Man: "G13! G13! Oh no!"
Brennan: *mimics gunfire*
Man: *screaming* "They're shooting at us! With guns! Ah! I'm f****** dead! I'm f****** dead!"
Usha: "Did it- Did it work? Did it work?"
Brennan: "And we cut from-"
Jacob: "Real MacGruber."
Brennan: "Real MacGru-" *laughs*
Usha: "Did it work?"
Brennan: "I'm f****** dead! Did it work?"
Usha: "Did you get your download?"

What better way to practice new prosthetics then to piss of the bitch that got you to need them in the first place!
In other news, my pirate ocs Gali and Ido (with a third Meridi not present) who are the two sides of the fulmini cult escapees :P
A bit of backstory under the cut since they're the only fuckers I have WITH a backstory! Which btw does detail cult shit so :P big fat warning for that-
The inciting incident on Petropia that introduced it's modern underground population to the surface named the Surface Craze was in all due part because of fulmini interference at the behest of the High Override, who saw what was initially just a planet entirely made of quartz-like crystal the Override Fleet could use as a power source. Having instead found that the planet was not only populated but by a species of the living variant of that same quartz-like material - electrical properties and all - but that additionally they can regenerate their crystalline body so long as they have the energy to pull from.
Seeing this as a solution to the fulmini's energy crisis - a perpetual machine at it's finest - the High Override sought to heh... acquire some petrosapiens for themselves. To their collective benefit, a community of petrosapiens had found their faith and world shattered, previously having been extremely devoted to the Sugi religion (derived from the ancient texts of Thuugi back when their tongues were long enough to be bitten off). Instead of needing to drag away dissenters who fought tooth and nail against the invaders, this community had already shifted their faith onto the false prophet of the High Override, which already had them fall into the Coupled Override head over heels.
The cult has now expanded it's pool of prey, and like the unwilling fulmini who gives the High Override their tithe (their minds, their central colony), the petrosapien cultists pay with their arms.
50 years (or the closest equivalent) into this arrangement, 50 years Petropia spent experiencing the surface for the first time in generations, Ido was born into the cult far away from the planet she should have known as home. Any doctor worth their salt had enough brains and stubbornness to not fall into faith-based trust of the Coupled Override, so between the lack of those and the remainder pseudoscience physicians left to echo chamber themselves, when Ido began developing Excessive Compression Disorder (ECD, a nerve-equivalent disorder that causes tension fractures throughout a petrosapien's crystalline structure) despite the rather obvious visible signed she went undiagnosed and improperly treated. At the age of 200 - a petrosapien's coming of age, and 50 years after Petropia's destruction - it was Ido's time to pay her tithe and begin her offerings to the High Override.
Gali - her sacrifricant - was to sever her arms below the elbow, as was procedure. What wasn't was the near explosive response from external pressure, or the last compressive force needed to completely shatter what had already started to break.
Cutting people's arms off is technically already a violent act however, though the lower arms survived the procedure as expected, the elbow and even upper arm had scattered shards of glass-fragile crystal in a visceral radius and physically severed through the sacrificant's central colony; then Gali was abruptly severed from the High Override after they felt as if a limb began necrotising. Sacrificants nor executioners really need an active memory to do their jobs, so Gali didn't need to have memory for however long their colony was one with the High Override's. Forcefully amputated from the larger system like an infection without any of the memories of being apart of said system however, kind of rewinds a colony back to the people they remember being long before any interference.
While Ido was caught staring wide-eyed, fearful, and newly lacking the limbs she thought she could regenerate easily - her arms try and try but they shatter like glass, crumble like sand, and she violently shudders like gravel grinding into each other - Gali regained access of their long unused senses and found a sea of hostile enemy combatants staring back. With all the training of a military general with none of the present self-awareness to realise they were the cause of the currently very panicky rock's lack of arms, Gali almost like a flick of a switch reverted to the many rules of engagement regardless of the fact that they were sporting exposed central colony that may or may not have been another's with their own collection of memories.
Seeing to rescue someone who had all their rights to fear them, Gali and Ido fled to the stars.
With a few language barriers mixed with someones learning they haven't spoken much longer then anyone thought they did, discovering how planets that were meant to be each other's home have been destroyed and irrecoverable, and learning the before and after to the horror story that is the High Override and their cultist network of external nerves and collective colony, Gali and Ido may or may not have gotten arrested :P
And they probably would have been tried for crimes neither of them could particularly understand not having learnt any of the common universal languages, up until the point the prison ship was raided by a collective of pirates only working together for equal cuts of the profits (the Plumbers used a prison ship to transport the Annihilargh while they still thought it to be a threat, what's to say they wouldn't simultaneaously transport prisoners - aka, the fucking point - with some high sought-after McGuffin). The pair would meet Meridi, a galvan with a penchant for mechanics and especially the kind that deceives an observer like - for instance - an android suit.
Meridi isn't here but gist is, she pilots both her own ship and an android resembling a human, and spies a pretty prize of walking talking taydenite. Instead of scoring a deal, she takes into consideration (perhaps with a cold calculation rather than a warm sympathy) the condition of ECD affected crystals and how much effort it would take to actually refine it and deems turning Ido into pocket change isn't worth it. In fact, further taking note of the explosive volatile footwork of crystallokinesis with the additional muscle of a fulmini veteran, actively helping Ido (and Gali by proxy) would potentially turn out more of a profit.
Gali isn't in dire need for hiding, but Ido uses shadow and a human-mouth jaw mask as tools to conceal what price her skin costs, while Meridi attempts to make prosthetics for a species that doesn't have nerves that also takes into account the unstable electrical currents produced by the compression of crystalline motor functions.
A bit of a tangent in a very long not-even-bothering-to-summarize backstory, I want to talk about petrosapien prosthetics, at least ones that can have 'motors' like Ido's arms (not like Chio's leg). With no external muscles to help strap in and extend the remnant of tendons humans have running through limbs, petrosapien exoskeletons do not offer the same interconnectivity and do not have easy ways to extend what had been cut off. Myoelectric limbs again by human standards also do not fit petrosapien nervous systems either, especially since the only nerves they have are in their equivalent of the central nervous system which also interacts with internal organs, the peripheral nervous system of a petrosapien operates with the highly structured yet individually unique non-standardised crystalline formations and compression. What Meridi does however is take material from Ido's crystal to create the joints in a conductive copper rod prosthetic (insulated in rubber to prevent harm to others), where Ido's compression triggers electricity to run down to remotely compress the crystal joints, which compress under the pressures of electricity and send the signal to be compressed again until motility is achieved.
And that is a lot of context :P woops- I either make no backstory or I make this convoluted piece of moving puzzle pieces, the duality of man I suppose :P
#gali#ido#fulmini#petrosapien#ido is hiding the fact she's a petrosapien in the same way tetrax hides the fact he's a petrosapien :P#oc#ben 10 oc#ben 10#fanart#cult#cult mention#the cult details are under the cut but they are mentioned to be ex-cultists in the caption#so it turns out i did end up using something from that mega collection of images#lowkey (highkey actually) i was inspired to give ido a human-mouth mask from that one cover of thunderstruck#thunderstruck guzheng cover by moyun i believe- i do hope it's not like a facial corrective mask and i'm taking that and using it wrong#but moyun covers her face in all videos so forgive me if i'm completely enamoured with the mask design#gotta be honest with you- i made the concept of ido (pirate petrosapien) based on that mask alone#before i had settled on other half of an ex-cult duo#let alone bringing another older actually a pirate character to create another fucking trio#gali as a fulmini uses plural they/them by default but ido with her fulmus/petropian pidgin accidentally single pronouned gali as she/her#gali doesn't mind it she'll just say it's the plural she/her and they'll nod like it makes sense#(anything can make sense when you're one of two people actively speaking a pidgin language out of necessity)#it's not because gali has 'hair' those are the equivalent of exposed nerves (a fun prank to play on your friend *immense pain*)#but those are parts of other's central colonies with their own memory overriden or not#gali mayy or may not have the fulmini equivalent of a dissociative disorder (more osdd than did if anything)#but the functional equivalent in fulmini biology is quite literally caused by having someone else's brain attached to you#more akin to a male anglerfish than childhood neuroplasticity developing coping mechanisms#and introducing excessive compression disorder! a petrosapien chronic illness! yipippie!!!#i know functionally ecd (or this fictional version if humans have their own ecd acronym taken) isn't a problem real people face#but even in a fictional setting i want to be respectful and hopefully it was?

Tears of the Kingdom - play notes!
[This is just going to be my stream-of-consciousness notes and speculation while I play, so please don't "correct" anything or add spoilers!]
DAY 2! [Spoilers Below]
First, let me just say the opening of this game was SICK AS HELL, OMG. Obviously terrible things were going to happen as soon as we went down into the basement full of horrible evil smog, but the encounter with Ganon was still genuinely chilling. The way all your hearts get shattered away! AMAZING. Possibly the most exciting scene I've ever seen in a Zelda game?? My big complaint about BOTW was the light amount of plot so I'm so excited that this game is already starting off more involved.
Also, Zelda is a ruins nerd and I kind of love that for her. Characterization! Actual interests besides just sort of sitting around limply going "help us, Link!"
The Zoani and Roaru are really cool! I like them, and I love the little helpful robot friends. Even if the giant gumball/gatcha machines for the Zoani device pokeballs are a little silly looking.
I'm about 5 hours in at this point and just got back to the surface. I'm really enjoying it! The new powers are a bit tricky but also in some ways easier than the BOTW ones? I miss my remote bombs a lot but I find "Rewind" a LOT easier to control than Stasis. "Ascend" is just a bonkers ability. I'm sure I will keep forgetting it as a way to get up high.
I recently finished watching a Let's Play of Skyward Sword, and I'm kind of glad for the timing, because the longer I play the more this game really feels like Skyward Sword Redux. Notable similarities:
-The murals that Zelda finds, about the "Ancient War" and the "Demon King" are straight out of SS
-The "Stabulb" plants seem an obvious reference to the stamina bulbs in SS
-The sound effects the Master Sword makes when "pulsing" while wounded sound a lot like Fi's appear/disappear noise
-The circle menu to quickly choose Abilities is the same format as item use in SS
-Skydiving and the whole sky-islands schtick
-In SS Zelda/Hylia gets imprisioned/stasis'd in a big amber crystal, similar to the one you see in the Temple of Time in TotK
-the yin-yang shaped object that Ganon stole looks a lot like the Amber relic collectables in SS.
Given some of Rauru's dialogue, and the way Ganon knew Link and Zelda's names at the start, it seems like there's a time loop situation happening here (Zelda does love them)-- I'm thinking that Zelda ended up with Rauru while he was still alive? Either that or she's in like the Goddess's Realm/Sacred Realm, doing... something... to rejuvenate the broken Master Sword. But I'm not sure Link is in the same time as he was, either. We'll see. I'm excited to explore and find out more!
First though I gotta get a horse.

As someone who used to work for Blockbuster in a town approximately the size of Hawkins - yeah, those hours are pretty much what we were open, ten years later.
If anyone would like some rough idea of what an average weekday and weekend shift would look like, keep reading:
Weekdays were usually dead for the first hour, hour and a half of the opening shift, so the first hour or so is devoted to processing any overnight returns (making sure the right tape is in the case, making sure they’re rewound, checking them in), restocking anything the closing shift didn’t do, and facing tapes. (Facing tapes was mostly just making sure all the shelves were neat and in the correct alphabetical order. Depending on how reliable your other shift was, this could be a fifteen minute job or a four hour job.) You could expect a mini rush around lunchtime - nothing super stressful, and an even mix of checkin and checkout.
The next rush was around 3:30, and it was always a pain in the ass, because it was kids. Kids can destroy a video store in less than five minutes of unsupervised time.
4:00 - 6:30 was cleaning up the disaster that was the after school rush and handling the after work crowd, which was usually not too bad. It would be steady from 8ish to around 9:30, where it would promptly die…..right up until 10 minutes before closing, where you’d get the stragglers and the people who have no concept of other people’s time.
Weekends tended to be steadier - Friday and Saturday nights were the busiest. There was always a post-church rush on Sundays. Friday and Saturday late nights were also where you’d get the Fun Customers - the ones who were drunk or high or both.
The 80s saw the beginning of the “you only work 39 hours a week, so you’re not full time”, and retail has always been terrible. There is a good chance that holidays are mandatory, but overtime is something to be avoided At All Costs. Retail schedules are notoriously inconsistent - feel free to have Keith play favorites on shifts.
Things that happened All The Time, and will provide a great deal of realism to any fic:
1. “Can you check the returns?” This is one of the best ways to guarantee that the staff hate you. We do not want to dig in the giant bin. Chances are the tape you want isn’t in there anyway.
2. Rewinding tapes is more fun than you might think - the rewinding machines are fast, and most stores have four or five of them.
3. You Must Check Every Case - people put the wrong tape in the box all the time. We had people return home videos, other video store tapes, you name it. Statistically, at least three boxes will come back empty.
4. Everyone will argue over their late fees. Some people will be so angry about it they will throw things at you. Laminated membership cards can cut you if flung at high enough velocity, ask me how I know.
5. The store will receive tapes before their release date - one of the perks of this is that generally speaking, employees get to watch them before they hit the floor.
6. The plastic clamshell cases are made of the cheapest plastic imaginable, and it is poorly cured. It is then wrapped in the cheapest vinyl to ever exist. This combination leads to the unique tackiness of every surface - they’re all just vaguely, mysteriously sticky, and the more sun exposure they get, the worse it becomes. Because they’re sticky, they’re also filthy. If you get busy, or get slammed with a bunch of returns, your hands will be black with grime by the time you finish processing them. (The only job I ever worked that was filthier was cash handling, because cash is also disgusting.) There is a distinct smell associated with those clamshell cases, and it is very difficult to describe.
7. There’s a good chance that the computer does not calculate change - you would be expected to be able to do the math and count back change. Closing out a cash drawer probably also involved a paper ledger.
8. Every video store had a new release section - depending on popularity, tapes would stay on the new release list for 3-4 weeks.
9. Inventory shifts are awful. Everything in the store has to be scanned and counted, and it must be done overnight. This is Not Fun.
Tumblr media
Just saving this for my own writing purposes cos I can never remember what time their store is open and apparently I've let Steve get off work early way too many times lol

Tumblr media
Introduction
The Dyson DC50 Multi Floor Bagless Upright Vacuum is one of Dyson's most popular and highly-rated vacuum cleaners. As a bagless vacuum, the DC50 doesn't require any replacement bags or filters making it very low maintenance. Its ball technology and maneuverability allow it to smoothly glide across multiple surfaces, while its advanced cleaning head deep cleans carpets and hard floors.

Ball Steering and Maneuverability
One of the DC50's most acclaimed features is its ball steering technology. The vacuum head glides smoothly across all floor types on a rotating ball. This allows you to maneuver around furniture legs, under tables, and even turn on a dime. No more jerky starts, stops or awkward movements!
The ball design gives you a full 360 degrees of seamless steering control. You can swivel the vacuum in any direction without having to readjust your grip or stance. Maneuvering the DC50 feels almost effortless compared to vacuums with fixed wheels or pivot points.
The slim profile and lightweight frame also complement the nimble steering. Weighing in at just 17.3 pounds, the DC50 prevents fatigue during longer cleaning sessions. Between the ball design and lightweight body, the DC50 is among the most user-friendly and maneuverable upright vacuums on the market.
Powerful Suction and Cleaning Performance
In addition to effortless steering, the DC50 also packs powerful suction capabilities. It uses Root Cyclone technology and radial root cyclone air flow to create forces of up to 240MPH within the vacuum body. This intense centrifugal action spins out dust, debris, and microscopic particles from the air path before they even reach the filter.
The high-velocity air currents ensure both deep cleaning performance and sustained suction power. Reviews consistently praise the DC50's ability to thoroughly clean carpets and remove embedded dirt on both high and low pile. Even fine particles like dust and pet hair get fully lifted out of floor fibers. Suction power doesn’t fade over time thanks to the efficiency of the Root Cyclone system.
The DC50 comes equipped with Dyson's self-adjusting cleaner head. The head automatically seals in suction as you move across different surfaces. On carpets, the head creates enough air flow to draw out ground-in dirt and stains. On hard floors, the head adjusts to safely dislodge and remove fine dust without scratching floors. With a simple flip down of the wand, the DC50 transitions seamlessly between floor types.
In addition to floors, the DC50 handles stairs, upholstery and other surfaces with ease. The instant-release wand and extended hose provide a versatile reach for cleaning curtains, ceilings, vents and under furniture. Attachments like the stair tool and combination tool expand cleaning capabilities for a whole home clean.
Bagless Design
As a bagless vacuum, the Dyson DC50 offers ongoing savings by eliminating the need to purchase replacement dust bags. Debris and dirt collect in the clear bin located on the ball. To empty, a simple push of a button opens the bin and slides out the trap door.
The transparent plastic bin allows you to see how much debris has accumulated. Most users only need to empty the bin once per cleaning session, even in larger homes. With nothing obstructing suction, the clear bin helps the vacuum maintain consistent power until it’s time to empty.
Bagless vacuums like the DC50 also reduce environmental waste compared to bagged models. You won’t have to throw away hundreds of disposable bags over the lifetime of the vacuum. The clear bin is easy to empty and rinse clean as needed.
In place of bags, the DC50 uses lifetime washable filters to maintain filtration. The filters can be rinsed under water as they become covered in dust and particles. Once fully dried they are ready to be reused. This eliminates ongoing costs associated with buying replacement bags and filters.
Ideal for Homes with Pets
With its advanced suction power, the Dyson DC50 is an ideal vacuum for homes with pets. Pet hair and dander can be difficult to thoroughly remove from carpets and floors. But the DC50's self-adjusting cleaner head and Root Cyclone technology combine to lift out even obstinate pet hair.
The cleaner head seals in suction across all surfaces to draw up pet hair lodged deep in carpet fibers. On hard floors, the head prevents scattered hairs and dander from escaping pickup. Fine particles get channeled through the cyclone airflow within the bin to prevent clogs.
The whole-machine filtration also traps microscopic pet-related allergens. Many reviewers note allergy symptom relief after switching to the sealed filtration system of the DC50. For pet owners, the thorough cleaning power helps eliminate traces of pet hair and allergens left behind by other vacuums.
Maintenance Requirements
The Dyson DC50 is designed to be low maintenance thanks to the bagless design and washable filters. With routine care, the DC50 will provide years of lasting performance. Here are the key maintenance steps:
Empty bin as needed - Don't allow debris to exceed max fill line
Wash filters every 3 months - Rinse under water until water runs clear
Check for blockages - Remove hair or debris around brush bar
Wash bin as needed - Use soap and water to clean dust buildup
Clean filters as needed - Use brush to remove stubborn debris
Replace cleaner head every 12 months - Order new head from Dyson
The main filters in the DC50 include the pre-motor filter and post-motor exhaust filter. The pre-motor filter is located behind the clear bin. The post-motor filter installs on the rear of the vacuum. These filters capture dust and allergens to protect the motor and expel clean air.
With occasional washing of the filters and bin, users won't notice any decrease in suction power. Dyson also recommends replacing the cleaner head once per year to maintain optimal performance. Overall, the DC50 requires minimal ongoing maintenance.

The benefits of using anti slip tape
There are many benefits to using anti slip tape. This type of tape can help to prevent accidents by providing a much needed grip on slippery surfaces. It can also help to protect against wear and tear, as well as making it easier to clean up any spills.
The application of anti slip tape
What are the selection criteria for anti slip tape?
What is the working principle of anti slip tape?
The application of anti slip tape
There are many different types of anti slip tape, each with their own unique properties and benefits. However, all anti slip tapes share one common trait: they all help to keep you safe from slipping and falling.
anti slip tape is typically made from a variety of different materials, including rubber, PVC, and even metal. The type of material used will usually depend on the specific application for which the tape is being used. For example, metal anti slip tape is often used in industrial settings where there is a lot of foot traffic, as it is extremely durable and can withstand heavy wear and tear.
The rubber and PVC anti slip tapes are often used in residential and commercial settings as they are more forgiving if someone does happen to slip and fall. These types of tapes are also typically much less expensive than their metal counterparts.
No matter what type of anti slip tape you choose, make sure that it is applied correctly in order to ensure the best possible results. If you are unsure about how to apply the tape, or if you have any other questions about its use, be sure to consult with a professional before proceeding.
Tumblr media
What are the selection criteria for anti slip tape?
1. When purchasing, check whether there are burrs on the surface of the anti slip tape.
2. The adhesive should be strong and durable, waterproof.
3. Check the anti-fouling ability of anti slip tape. This material has strong wear resistance and excellent water absorption function, so its application range is extremely wide.
What is the working principle of anti slip tape?
anti slip tape is used in the coating process of double-sided adhesive tape. When the double-sided tape is pulled out from the coating machine, it needs to be guided out by rollers. If the surface of the guide roller is not specially treated, the adhesive will stick to the roller and affect the Production and tape quality. The surface of the roll is usually covered with a low surface energy material to prevent sticking. This single-sided non-slip tape is specially designed for this application. It is coated with a durable adhesive on one side to firmly stick to the surface of the output roller, and the other side is made of special low surface energy rubber, which can effectively prevent the adhesive from being damaged Adhesive effect.

Common troubleshooting of laboratory centrifugal pumps
What faults can centrifugal pumps encounter in the laboratory, and how can these conditions be eliminated? Let's take a look. Diaphragm pumps 1. During use, the motor often fails to start, such as when the main power indicator light is on. At this time, the degree of carbon brush wear should be checked. If the carbon brush wear exceeds one-third of the total amount, it should be replaced with a new one in a timely manner. When the main power indicator light is not on, check if the indicator light fuse and indoor distribution board fuse are blown, and also check if the power cord is in good contact. If the fuse is broken, replace the fuse and keep the circuit smooth. The screw pump should also check the vacuum pump gauge and oil pressure indicator values. If the oil pressure is too high and the main engine cannot be started, it is necessary to check whether each oil circuit is blocked, especially whether the throttle hole is smooth. If it is not smooth, it should be cleaned to make it smooth. 2. If the bearing is damaged or its rotation is hindered, there is a lack of oil in the bearing or there is a lot of dirt in the bearing, which causes an increase in friction resistance. If the motor cannot reach the rated speed, the bearing should be cleaned or replaced in a timely manner. There is a layer of oxide on the surface of the commutator, even if it is burnt into unevenness or the brush does not match the outer edge of the commutator, which can cause a decrease in speed. The commutator and brush should be cleaned to ensure good contact. If there is a short circuit or open circuit in the rotor coil of a centrifugal pump, a multimeter can be used to check and rewind the coil. The rotor can cause rupture of the centrifuge tube, sample leakage, and rotor damage during use due to metal fatigue, overspeed, overstress, chemical corrosion, improper selection, imbalance of the rotating head during use, and temperature runaway. For the above situations, it is mainly required for the operator to master the operating procedures proficiently, select appropriate centrifugal pipes and rotors correctly, pay attention to strictly controlling each step of operation sequence, minimize unnecessary human damage, and use the rotor within the safety factor and warranty period. Magnetic pump 3. One of the reasons for the poor starting and cooling performance of the refrigerator is that the power supply is not available, and the power supply and fuse should be checked separately. If the voltage is too low and the safety device malfunctions, it can also prevent the refrigerator from starting. If the voltage is too low, it may be due to the low voltage of the power grid; Excessive wiring on the distribution board; The power cord is too long (ideal length is 3 meters), etc. Insufficient power cord capacity not only reduces voltage, but also causes accidents. Sewage pump 4. When the power supply voltage drops to 180-190VJ, the refrigerator cannot start, affecting the cooling effect. Poor ventilation performance, such as when the instrument is installed in direct sunlight or poorly ventilated areas, poor radiator effect, or the radiator cover is covered with dust, can also affect the cooling effect. The weight of the centrifuge tube is unbalanced and placed asymmetrically; There are foreign objects in the rotor hole, causing imbalanced load; Loose fixing nut at the upper end of the shaft, friction or bending of the shaft; The motor rotor will generate noise if it is not in the center of the magnetic field; Damage to the rotor itself can cause severe vibration and abnormal noise in the body. Self priming pump Many times, it is caused by incorrect operation. After identifying the cause, correct operation can eliminate the abnormal phenomenon. During the work process, if any abnormal phenomena occur, the machine should be immediately shut down and forced operation is not allowed to avoid unnecessary losses or accidents. From Pulp to Roll: Understanding the Manufacturing Process of Toilet Paper Machines
Toilet paper is a ubiquitous household item that we often take for granted. However, behind every roll of toilet paper lies a complex manufacturing process that involves specialized machines. Understanding the intricacies of toilet paper machine production can shed light on the journey from pulp to the final product that we use daily. In this blog, we will explore the key steps involved in the manufacturing process of toilet paper machines.
Pulp Preparation:
The first step in producing toilet paper is the preparation of the pulp. Wood chips or recycled paper are processed in large machines called pulpers. The pulpers break down the raw material, removing impurities and creating a slurry-like mixture called pulp. This pulp will serve as the foundation for the toilet paper production process.
Paper Machine:
Once the pulp is ready, it is fed into a paper machine. The paper machine consists of a series of sections and components that work together to transform the pulp into thin sheets of paper. These sheets are then pressed, dried, and rolled onto large spools.
Rewinding and Slitting:
The large spools of paper are then transferred to rewinding machines. In this step, the paper is unwound from the spools and rewound onto smaller rolls, which are more convenient for consumer use. The rewinding machines also have slitting blades that cut the large sheets of paper into narrower strips, which will form individual toilet paper rolls.
Embossing and Perforation:
Toilet paper often features patterns or embossed designs on its surface. This is achieved through embossing rolls that press decorative patterns onto the paper during the rewinding process. Additionally, perforation blades create small dotted lines along the paper strip, allowing for easy tearing and separating of individual sheets.
Cutting and Packaging:
After embossing and perforation, the toilet paper strips are cut into individual rolls. These rolls are then packaged using automated packaging machines. The packaging machines wrap each roll in plastic or paper, ensuring hygiene and protection during transportation and storage.
Quality Control:
Throughout the manufacturing process, quality control measures are implemented to ensure that the toilet paper meets industry standards. These measures include monitoring the thickness, strength, and softness of the paper, as well as inspecting the embossing and perforation patterns. Any defective rolls are removed to maintain the overall quality of the final product.
Conclusion
The manufacturing process of toilet paper machine involves several intricate steps, from pulp preparation to cutting and packaging. Specialized machines and quality control measures ensure that the toilet paper meets the necessary standards of thickness, strength, softness, and hygiene. By understanding the manufacturing process behind toilet paper, we gain a deeper appreciation for the complexity involved in producing this essential everyday product.

shell
i took a colorquiz as last years spoke to me. i didn't know what to expect but thought i would be in a much better position now.
"tries to take the characteristics she likes in other people and apply it to herself as well as coming across as a unique individual."
desired objective: to be known for something she has accomplished and use her social abilities to win people over.
ouch.
i cling onto these words and the echoes of others. that i'm a shell. i'm an empty person.
it is true. i come across others and admire those i find with exceptional personalities. i tend to absorb myself into them taking surface level qualities that i like.
vivienne, the deli clerk at my former job. quiet but held a strong, confident demeanor. tatted around her arms and chest, short brown hair sometimes adorned with ribbon. she dressed in shirts with ripped off shoulders, leopard leggings and clogs. even with minimal clothing she still found a way to dress punk. nigel and i raved about her endlessly. we both tried finding her on the web but she was nowhere to be found.
i came out of that job with an obsession for ribbon and new clogs.
gigi. caught my eye first at the library with her green cadet cap speckled with pins. i then met her at the first day of apparel class. she wore the same hat, green jacket and big brown pants. her eyes were big and bright. i immediately fell in love with her. she asked the instructor many questions and started playing with the sewing machine before we were all given the go. i admired that. many students flocked to her as well. she initiated conversation and drew a small interest to me, sharing her website filled with personal excerpts. her main story was how most of her life she created art but pursued biology, getting a full ride to UW in biochem. she knew she did not want to pursue that and create instead. she dropped out and signed up for apparel class. initially, i thought blogs were corny and for influencers but when she shared that story to me i thought she was brave. she left apparel class deciding to pursue something else but her small presence left a great impression in the friend group, a great impression on me.
i bought 3 cadet caps shortly after and find myself typing in this blog thing... lord.
on top of that i am reliant with the idea that one could fix me.
i rewind and look back. most of the time in school i was daydreaming, fantasizing of another life, with someone that truly loved me. we were madly in love.
being alone i've always felt incomplete. i know now that i don't need someone to complete me but why has it always felt this way. alone i feel powerless.
when i started the apparel class and started making friends i felt that i could accomplish anything.
how can i end this belief?
---
i talked to oscar about this and said that i shouldn't focus on this being problems. i should focus on how i should fix this. i thought about that.
after shopping for oscar's tux i asked him if i could get my sister's camera i gave to him. he wasn't using it so he agreed. we played the camera for a bit, him trying to get a still shot of me headbanging, jumping in the air, jorge eating a carrot and some shots outside in the dark. i filmed some b-roll on the way home.
i began to think of something to film other than my trip to the philippines.
i began thinking of my thoughts of being infatuated with other people and their extraordinary qualities. grouping them together, they all seemed strong, and confident. they pursued something impractical. i decided i wanted interview gigi about her story and her journey to being a multidisciplinary artist. i can use this energy i have in a healthy way by actually getting to know her instead of creating this ideal image. i can also create a film which is something i've been wanting to do.
my plan is i'm going to start filming jaerlene since she is pursuing filmmaking and doing a lovely job at it. i'm going to interview her. and make a film first. that way i can practice and get guidance from her.
i'm so excited and hope to finish this project!

nerd shit redux
Reaper has a looper program called Super8 that basically lets you set midi trigger pads to turn Reaper into a livelooper setup, basically a script to enable looping features. I plan on learning it because I love loops and loop based song writing. So each trigger can set a lane active, or mute a lane, or maybe set a lane to be 4 times longer, or jump to a lane that has fx for lead or drum, or what have you. I have a usb keyboard that used to let you assign midi signals but the software currently stopped working. Old Axiom keyboards had awesome customizing software so each knob could be assigned any midi variable. Be cool if it worked but now I have transport tape style buttons that give Midi instrument change sequences instead of easier to use Midi CC code or some such. Solution? Either find a way to filter those midi codes and turn them into Midi CC, or simply label actual black note keys at a specific octave for my live loop controller. I really am curious if there is a good generic control footpedal pedal that can output ctrl voltage for eurorack, midi CC, on/off, sliding pedal CC, all the bells and whistles in a convenient pedal box. I know there are good utility midi foot pedals, but when you add in voltage out and whatchamacallit, the voltage that sets the amount on pedals/multifx (similar to eurorack CV but not 1 to 1 the same). So yeah, going to tap a keyboard and set it up for looping synths, guitar, drum machines live into reaper with the Super8. *But wait there is more fiddly bits*, there is a secondary recording medium. QSC mixers can have external midi to trigger transport buttons like rewind, record, and goto time, as well as arming and disarming channels- so that with super8 can mean I can have one surface triggering recording on both devices. Also reapers super8 can't record midi if i read that correctly, so maybe i can make a setup that puts midi in the laptop but also syncs the recording/tranport buttons on both devices (which is nice to have regardless of live looping). QSC made the firmware for their entry level digital mixer do a lot of the cool shit the fancier models can do. I love the sound of a SM7b mic recording a acoustic guitar into the QSC mixer/recorder with Kush Omega series vst to give it that teeny bit of mastering. I realized a little bit ago that suddenly I can record guitar and not hate the sound, and it's been a challenge how to make that fit into synths, drum machines, and 'writing music in the box'. Thus I need to learn super8, and also having both recording systems start on one button press is pretty sweet. (ideally sync doesn't shit the bed and i don't have to use LTC/MTC timecode as a master clock or anything).
so that's an ongoing project - meanwhile I also need to learn more songs on guitar and piano and improve my sense of pitch. its coming together nicely but it behooves me to be both playful and architectural in my approach. building a framework to vibe out on, but also improving the application of playing keyboards or multitracking things without having to fuck with it in editing.
multitracking
whats been useful is multitracking without headphones, as well as having vintage headphones with a really warm ear soothing midrange tone. i believe i saw concert footage where J Mayer was wearing vintage headphones. trying different things and the options help prevent ear fatigue. i've been making forays into mixing miced guitar with amped electric guitar. At some point I'm probably going to tackle full tracks with arbitrary limits to instruments, and layer classical, acoustic, electric tracks. Even a doubletrack of the same instrument sounds nice and 'phasey' thicc, but switching up instrument timbres and layering them is just appealing and feels musical. meanwhile i've tried layering piano chords from the triton behind acoustic guitar and it also sounds 'thicc' and charming. it is also finicky as all get out as a skill.
fucking with a odd idea wearing headphones until my ears hurt this morning.
i've been trying to fuck with some crazy not quite chocolate and peanutbutter type mixing elements to loop a particularly swingy classical sample with a improvised beat. i hit an entertaining wall this morning because i was trying to shoehorn a loose recording of this piano genius into a eccentric beat along with snips of riffing on guitar with a chewy bassy guitar humbucker sound. Competing tinny and shiny piano (with a elegant recording from fifty or more years ago) versus Triton drums versus the trimmed out random guitar pulsing experiment. And I kind of liked it, but the piano had been tweaked to fight a accelerating swingy performance, and there were some neat edits, but between the goofy beat and a lot of time stretching and trimming, the whole thing is chaotic af. Will have to return to it after resting my ears. years ago i filtered a movie sound track theme and alternated the filter and the sweeping sound of the chords slowed down and then added a buzzy detuned bassline - which didn't suck, but it didn't not suck enough either. why didn't it not suck? partially because i chopped it up, made three unrelated loops out of it that didnt glue back together as a song, and also because the buzzy detuned bassline was *not in key*. So now I'm fucking with a genius spanish piano sample and in the back of my mind I'm thinking 'should i learn to play a simplified version of this on piano? or do i just run this thing through melodyne and write out the main part of the theme so i can verify how things fit note per note.
One thing that really stood out as i time stretched and trimmed these loops is that when the edits were nudged 'just so' the beat underlaying the loop really would give a 'driving feel' or nudged the other way would be backbeat style off but in a close groovy kind of way.
