According to Global ABC's 2021 Global Status Report on Building and Construction, the building environment sector accounts for 36% of the world's final energy consumption and 37% of energy-related emissions. The construction sector also contributes 23% of air pollution, 40% of drinking water pollution and 50% of landfill waste. Every single construction action impacts the environment, from the materials we choose, the technologies we use, and the construction sites we build. Even though there isn't a universal solution to solve the construction industry issue, various parties are finding innovative ways to reduce the contribution to the pile-up. We, as part of the education community, should think and act the same to create a more sustainable and resilient city of the future. This module is a collaborative elective between the students of DIA Hochschule Anhalt in Pre-Tiny and Post-Tiny, alongside students from Kyoto Seika University. In Pre-Tiny, the buildings should have the highest possibility of being deconstructed, enabling students to understand the various renewable levels of different materials. In Post-Tiny, students were to design something new from the building materials that were deconstructed from Pre-Tiny, and how the life of building materials is portrayed by giving them a new life.
