The reason technical solutions alone will not solve the climate crisis is because the more they develop technology, the higher the performance they give it, so it only consumes more and more energy and materials. So it doesn't matter if you can make electricity production more efficient or find ways to store energy from renewable sources, it will never be able to make up for the ever increasing demands of energy.
