love the idea of stan’s childhood being so fuzzy to him because he was attached to the hip to ford & therefore the tiny parts left made no sense on their own. knowing he felt inferior but to who? shermie? he wasn’t around very often. knowing he got kicked out before graduation but why?

& maybe one time a kid asks for a high five & he goes haha high six even, its even cooler! & they’re like what & stan can only answer uh. i don’t actually know ignore that

NO EXACTLY YOU GET IT LIKE. If Stan loses his memories of Stanford and everything related... there's not a ton left because they were so close for so long. The biggest patch of memories he has is from his ten years of homelessness and crime and he doesn't even know why he was homeless. He knows he has to make a ton of money if he wants to go home. He doesn't really understand why. The last thing he remembers is being in a motel in New Mexico, then he's waking up in a cabin in Oregon with some dude with a glowing gun standing over him. Then the guy runs away. How the fuck did he get to Oregon?? no clue but the townspeople are offering him money to show off someone's house, apparently they think he owns the house. Hey, free money is free money! There's a GIANT FUCKING PORTAL IN THE BASEMENT WHAT THE HELL and also a glowing symbol that matches that new burn he has on his back (ow) (how did THAT get there??). He's fixing the portal because it'll probably help with whatever happened to his brain, right? No other reason. It's been a decade and he hasn't thought about the man with the glowing gun in years, his memory loss is probably because of something that happened during his decade of crime. Probably. Probably. Let's not worry about it too much, yeah?
