I recently reread Fluttering Feelings by Ssamba. Even after my nth time rereading it, it still makes my heart flutter. It's really a shame that we will never know how the author wants the story to end. I hope she rest in peace.

HIIII 💓💓 omg RIGHT ???? i love that manhua so much omfg the art style is just so beautiful and the designs for the characters HNDBXKDBSN also the way the mum is portrayed like . so charming like a prince but also so loving and gentle and such a good mother to her kid PLSSSS 😭😭 and the fact that they’ve hinted at the mum having a crush on the pink haired singer i’m gonna lose my mind if they actually get together omfgggg

i haven’t read fluttering feelings actually ! i heard about it long ago but when i heard the news abt the author it made me kinda sad so i didn’t end up picking it up 😭😭😭😭😭 it looks SO good tho, the art looks gorgeous and the characters look super cute as well 🥺

but you know what always makes me super super sad? How fluttering feelinhs never got to be finished because the author sadly passed away due to cancer.

I hope Ssamba is resting peacefully now FF really did have such an impact on me

Got me thinking

I haven't done blogging... ever. I just thought about it yesterday because I was browsing Ssamba's naver blog. She was blogging using naver, and that made me want to try and make my own account there, but then I remembered that Tumblr is also made for blogging. It's good that I checked the app review of naver because I remembered Tumblr & I also thank the fact that I always contemplate if I should and if I could manage another social m3dia account. Having a lot of social media to manage is hard. 🥲😩

Ssambas entries before her death was just like her work Fluttering Feelings. Well... that was the effect on me now. Maybe because Ssamba is not around anymore or maybe because I can somewhat see No-Rae when I read some of her entries.

For me, Ssamba was one of the pioneers who started the era of digital Sapphic comics, and that makes me wonder if I'll be able to REALLY join the current numbers of Sapphic creation.

Will I be able to get close? Would my work be able to reach anyone?

Those things were on my mind after I read a few of Ssamba's entries... aside from the question of whether the new generation of Sapphic enjoyer even knows Fluttering Feelings.

I miss these two, too, so much, and I miss Ssamba.

Started spiraling in bed last night because my symptoms were acting up, so I tried to break out of the spiral by thinking about ssamba: how she posted about going on walks with her mom, taking pictures on those walks, tried to draw when she was able, right up to the end.

Wow that hit me like a truck.

So yesterday I started reading the yuri manhwa Fluttering Feelings by author Ssamba. Everything was going well, I got really hooked with the story and the adorkable characters. That was, until today when I unexpectedly reached the last page of the last chapter, and with that, Ssamba's obituary.

She passed away on February 20, 2018 at the young age of 33, after two years of battling against cancer. And it just threw me for a loop. I felt this sense of loss, not just for No-rae and Seol-a whose love story we will never see through the ending, but for Ssamba as well. I thought about the amount of love and sensitivity she put in Fluttering Feelings. Her work was able to reach out to me and tug at my heartstrings. So learning about her death, just now, just kind of broke my heart.

It feels strange to meet a new author, fangirl over her work, and mourn her death in just a span of two days. I think I'm gonna lock myself inside my head for now.

So today I finished my rereading of the webtoon Fluttering Feelings and I couldn’t hold back the sadness. I learned Ssamba died more or less three years ago and it seems ages ago now. I remember back then It was a pretty good time in my life and this news made me feel like I should not take for granted happiness. Not even a year after my hell made of anxiety came and after that nothing has ever been the same. This webtoon thought still has an hold on me, it is a beautifully realistic story about two young women who fall for each other during college years. It has became comfort material for me, even though I would give anything to know how it would’ve ended in the author’s mind.
