it can take a while for a bimbo to feel comfortable with cosmetic procedures, or even just to secure the necessary finances to take the next step in her journey! here are a list of things you can start on right away while you figure out the rest.

1. exercise! a bimbo's body is her best weapon. try to aim for a couple times a week at least. if you don't like running, try pilates, yoga, dance, anything. it's just important that you feel connected to your body in some way.

2. spray tans! for me, this really amps up my sex appeal. my skin has a golden hue that a spray tan really brings out. if i don't have time to go get professionally tanned biweekly, i'll use a tanning mousse instead. it gives a similar effect, but the spray tan is a bit more realistic.

3. manicure and pedicure! what is a bimbo without her claws? i personally love having acrylic nails. i don't have them right now because i can't have acrylics when i go in for my breast augmentation, but i almost always do otherwise. i like barbie pink or long white claws. both are very feminine and look great wrapped around the base of a cock or squeezing a beautiful boobie! having your toes done is also important - nobody wants to suck on and lick mangled feet, and you need to be prepared to be worshipped at any point in time.

4.new clothes! i literally threw everything out and started fresh with a wardrobe of basics. 5 pairs of tiny short shorts, about 20 basic tops in pink, white, and black. I am working my way up towards more exciting statement pieces and building up my shoe and purse collection, but this all takes time. In the meantime, you need clothes that look good on your body and show off your best assets. after my breast augmentation, i will be getting a bunch of new clothes from brands like skims, alo, for love & lemons, etc. for my more bimboish pieces, i kind of just shop around, but i think it's important to have a ton of basic pieces so you can create endless outfits. the mini skirts, fur coats and heels can come later - once you have things to wear them with that make you look super stylish and more importantly... show off your body.

5. get your hair done professionally! most bimbos like to be blonde (myself included) and unless you're already blonde to start with, i see absolutely no reason you should do this at home. save up some money and find a hair stylist in your town who specializes in blonde hair. you won't regret it, and there's nothing bimbo about having crusty, fried hair. if you're not certain if blonde is the best route for you (it probably is), ask a stylist! pink also looks adorable on bimbos with a more cutesy y2k style. a good haircut with some face framing layers can also completely change your whole look.

6. whiten your teeth! invest in a whitening foam and tray, or just use strips. i've had a similar effect with both.

7. get good with fake eyelashes! they elevate any makeup look from fresh to sexy. once you've had lip filler, lip gloss and lipstick will also become your new best friend.

8. silly little accessories! may i suggest a pink lollipop or bubblegum? this will help keep the attention on your perfect little mouth all day and will also give you something cute to distract yourself with while you fantasize about being used out in public.

Summary: When Legion Night and Prom Night Merge.

Legion been planning Prom Night for months. Susie had never got to go to prom as herself before - well, never gone to prom at all. She was so excited that the Legion decided to make it a night she’d never forget. Jules helped Susie style her hair, plaiting the pink locks into a side Dutch braid. She made her own dress, combining different coloured translucent netted fabric into a layered skirt, making it scrunched up and asymmetrical. The pinks, purples, and blues all merging together. The shape flowing out so dramatically and chaotically so she didn’t feel pressured to tuck. She sewed it to a sporty t-shirt her dad bought her. She didn’t support like Hockey, she didn’t have any interest in the Calgary Flames and yet every single season since she was a baby he’d bought her the latest kit. It slowly became something genuinely sweet to a cruel gesture. She cut the neckline so it was lower and cuter. She sewed the sides in so it wasn’t quite so loose, and dyed the fabric into tiedye pink before using paint and markers to turn the flaming C to an S. She completed the look with a purple hoodie with blue flames on the sleeves and hem, grey woollen leggings, and Jules’ old pink Converse sneakers. Since it was Legion night, she had an old fencing mask she stole from school spray painted blue with purple flames at the bottom.

Jules had been to prom before, but it always with long blonde hair and a dress her mom forced upon them. They had been bought a dress this year, their mom trying to pawn the sons of her friends off on Jules, becoming angrier with every insistence they made that they had a boyfriend. They ended up giving in on the dress only, or so their mom thought. Jules gave it to Susie, she was one hell of a seamstress and could turn it into a nice dress. On the Legion Prom night, like Susie Jules finally got to go to prom as themselves. They wore a white button up shirt, a black waistcoat, a black leather collar with a silver ring, pinstripe black trousers, a loose studded belt, a tighter black belt with charms hanging from each loop (varying things like bats, coffins, and daggers), and a silver wallet chain. Jules straightened their hair and cut it to be chin length at the front and Frank helped with a pair of clippers to make it a number four at the back. Their mom cried when she saw it, their dad snorted and laughed - telling them they looked like a few choice words. Their little brother who’d just started high school said boys won’t like them anymore, Jules stared at him deliberately as they said ‘good’. For their mask, they took a hockey mask and painted it silver, simple but terrifying. Like a sleeker 21st century Jason, they thought.

Joe didn’t really care much about prom itself, the social aspect made him anxious so he did what he did to deal with the way he wanted to puke about being in group settings… He became someone else. On this occasion he made a Jason Todd cosplay - Red Hood era of course. Plus, it would feel like a smug fuck you to the basketball player who said Batman wasn’t for people like Joe. The Red Hood mask worked perfectly for Legion Night, he picked the artwork from the latest Batman comic series the Hill. He spent weeks in Art class making the red face covering, he made the class black eye mask out of Kevlar, and the lower half vibrant red armour out of EVA foam. He thrifted a red hoodie, and Susie helped him cut the sleeves off nice and neat, Grey combat trousers and a utility belt he already had from his previous cosplays, a black t-shirt was easy enough. Susie’s skills with the stolen sewing machine at the ski lodge meant he good tactical style grey pockets to the hoodie, and the red hood logo to the t-shirt. He wore black combat boots and him and Frank stole him some red hand wraps from the local sports store. Joe was so happy with it, he couldn’t wait to be Jason Todd and teach the creepy 4chan weirdos at school who talked about how much they loved the Joker a lesson.

Frank had been evasive about what he’d wear, and Jules managed to drag him out with their dad’s stolen credit card. Frank had never been to a school long enough to have a prom, and prior to now it never bothered him but Jules, Joe, and Susie wanted it to be special for him too. It wasn’t anything too flashy, a black blazer with matching suit trousers, a crimson shirt, black shoes, badges and pins for the lapels and his black tie… and that was that. When Frank saw himself in the mirror, his binder ensuring it fit just how he wanted it to he ended up having to try and hide (unsuccessfully) the tears building in his eyes. He spray painted his own mask in skull paint, and there they were. All ready for the best prom night Ormond was ever going to see.

Susie snuck out, wearing a t-shirt, jeans, and a hoodie with the hood covering her hair and a backpack that was straining and heavy. Joe picked her up in his car and breathed a sigh of relief that no one had questioned where she was going. Joe was ready, more or less. His story was that he was going to work the night shift security for some extra money, if he told his mom he was going to prom she’d ask way too many questions. She was too tired from her long shift to notice Joe was in a cosplay outfit. Jules delighted in wearing their androgynous get-up, smirking as their parents screamed and yelled, by the time Frank came to pick them up (they’d requested, just to piss of their folks even more) their mom was giving them the silent treatment and glaring at them both. Their dad had stormed out to go drink his weight at the local watering hole, probably where Clive was.

“You look beautiful and handsome all at once, babe,” Frank said before they kissed in front of their mom. Deliberate, of course. They went out to Joe’s car, both diving in the backseat and Jules stamping their feet trying to get out their intense hyperactive excitement. They had everything they needed, and once they were all dressed, it was down to the high school for their biggest Legion night yet.

It had been a big job that required a lot of preparation but on the night itself it was surprisingly straightforward. Barring the exits was easy, they could do it all from the outside of the high school gym and use the fire escape to get to the roof. The decorations were a fire hazard in themselves, and they’d hidden fireworks underneath the stage that morning, so when they opened the skylight and poured petrol down onto the unsuspecting students, dropping a lighter into the hall below… It was much less resistance and went a lot smoother than they could have dreamed. They ran to Joe’s car, climbing on top of it to watch the fireworks light up the nights sky, soundtracked by mundane pop music and the screaming and yelling. When they got to the ski lodge and looked down over Ormond, they could still see the fireworks, as well as the police cars, ambulances, and fire engines. The four of them had their own prom - music, booze, and Legion. It was all they needed. They made bets about how many got out alive, and joked about what the cruellest bullies looked like with their skin boiling on their bodies. It was truly a prom night they would never forget.

Interlude - 17 Moons Ago

Coniferfrost - 12 moons - Medicine Cat Water murmurs over the stones, echoing and overlapping ‘til it sounds like voices, speaking just outside of hearing range.

Coniferfrost pauses, at the edge of the Moonfalls, and takes a breath.

The grotto is warm– muggy, in the height of Greenleaf, and thick with kit-soft mosses. The pool within flashes, now and then, with the bodies of silver fish, and the reflections of moonlight.

Coniferfrost picks his way down, carefully, across slick stones, following the path of a spring, where it bubbles down to feed the covered pool. The water mutters gentle welcome, frothing down in brief and lovely falls, which spit up spray into the Greenleaf air. 

Two other springs trickle in, from other openings; one stream for every clan, all feeding the same, deep pool. Featherclan’s falls- the highest- bubble from the south. Finclan's foam in from the west, raising a cool spray above the water; silvery with moonlight, so the air takes on a misty, glowing quality.

And from the north- Furclan’s river pours into the cave, breaking into smaller streams before rejoining to go fizzing down the rocks. Back along that stream, the trees bristle with needles, more than leaves. The ground goes silvery with frost.

Perhaps, Coniferfrost thinks, he will go in that direction. Sickness always seems to fester, in warm air; maybe the cooler climes of Furclan- of the territories beyond- will keep it back.

His next breath has the memory of rot on it; bodies growing worms, in the greenleaf heat. The stench of  fever-sickness on hot breath, in panting mouths–

He shakes himself.  Yes. Definitely north.

He pads up to the edge of the pool, and sees his own reflection in its surface. His face distorts, as one of the grotto’s eyeless fish flashes past, and Coniferfrost hooks it deftly from the water.

He pins it, flailing, beneath one paw, and closes his eyes in reverence. “Starclan, I offer you this bounty. May we share prey, and tongues, beneath the moon.”

The words are rote, familiar. Coniferfrost bites into the fish, and as he swallows the star-touched flesh- he drifts away.

Starclan forms around him, silver and misty as the grotto. Cats pad out of the fog; silent figures, watchful. Familiar.

The fish lies at his paws.

The eyes of the dead fix upon it.

So many, lost in recent moons; Coniferfrost swallows. It is said the dead feel no pain, in Starclan– no hunger, or thirst, no sickness or exhaustion. But the living cats who visit must be exempt from this rule– because Coniferfrost’s chest aches. 

Little Gullkit and Starlingkit are the worst, huddled behind the paws of older clanmates. Their parents still linger in the living world– though Coniferfrost thinks their mother will not be long behind them. He can still hear Quailquil’s breathing, thick and laboured. Can still see the bloody mucus dripping down her chin, and caking in the fur of her chest.

Lost in thoughts of Featherclan’s overburdened medicine den, Coniferfrost doesn’t notice, at first, when one cat breaks from the crowd, and snaps up Conifrrfrost’s offering. A lean, long-backed brown tabby, white markings spreading in splotches from his belly. The fish crunches between his teeth, its red blood strangely vivid in this silver place.

Coniferfrost snaps out of his daze, at the sight of it. “Cooperstar. You made it to Starclan.”

“I did.” The lean tom dips his head. “I am sorry to have left the clan in such a state. It is a heavy burden I have left you with.”

It is, rather. Cooperstar’s deputy had died of the mysterious plague, too– just before Cooperstar had. The leader, in the throes of fever-sleep, had not been lucid enough to name a replacement. No leader, and no deputy. For medicine cats, only Coniferfrost- only just out of apprenticeship- and little Lizardpaw, who had been called to the medicine den in desperation, when the more experienced Sparrowfur had died. Warriors failing, kits sick, elders dropping like flies. A heavy burden, indeed.

But Coniferfrost only says, “I know you would have stayed, if you’d been able. If– Sparrowfur had been alive, when you fell sick…” “Sparrowfur could not have done more for me than you did.” Cooperstar’s voice is warm; sincere. “She taught you very well– and speaks highly of you even now, watching from beyond.”

“I suppose.” Coniferfrost hunches his shoulders. That was kind– but where is Sparrowfur, then, if Cooperstar is telling the truth? Why hadn’t she come to see him? 

“Come now,” Cooperstar nudges Coniferfrost’s shoulder; a cool contact. Impossible to ignore that he’s no longer among the living. “Coniferfrost. Look where your loyalty- your determination- has brought you. You’ve come to speak with us on behalf of Featherclan, have you not? You have done- you are doing- all you can, for them.”

Coniferfrost swallows, hard; an almost painful gesture, like eating fishbones whole. He almost loses his nerve–.

But only almost. The kits bolster him. The little blue-eyed kits, with stars in their pelts, and chubby paws they will never grow into. Gullkit and Starlingkit, dead, and their clan racing to follow, as if in some great game of chase. “I would like to do more,” Coniferfrost says, the words rehearsed. “To heal them all– to save them. But if the sickness comes to me… I fear for Featherclan’s future. I’ve taught Lizardpaw all I can, but he’s so young– he can’t bear it alone.”

“No.” Cooperstar’s eyes cloud with sadness. “I know he can’t. But Starclan’s power is not limitless– I cannot shield you from the plague, much as I wish to. I cannot send you a cure.”

Coniferstar’s heart is a frantic thing, beating in his ears. This is it. Surely it will work. It has to. “I know.” He fights to keep his voice level. “But you can send me time. More time, to help them. To train Lizardpaw. More lives.”

Cooperstar’s eyes widen, just a fraction. “You want me to make you leader.”

Unreal, to hear it said out loud. What’s been, ‘til now, only a fantasy inside his head. Something brewing, growing, rooting, since Cooperstar had died.

Coniferfrost ducks his head. Takes a breath. And then– “yes.”

There– it is in the open. He’s said it.

There is a silence. 

“Persuade me,” says Cooperstar.

Coniferfrost sags with relief– that’s good. That isn’t a no. “The clan has sent me, to ask for Starclan’s guidance on our leader; I’d like to come back with it resolved. They’re so frightened. So uncertain. They look to me already for suggestions with the sickness. They follow me. But–.” He makes an effort, and meets Cooperstar’s eyes. “If I fall sick, and die, there is no one left to lead Featherclan in matters of the plague. No one even to consult with Starclan. If I fall ill- fatally ill- the lives will allow me to outlast it. Not forever. But I hope long enough…”

“Yes,” Cooperstar says. “I see.”

There is a pause. Coniferfrost’s breath is hard in his chest; It is all he can do to keep from trembling. “Then–”

That won’t be a problem, Coniferfrost thinks. But of course– he doesn’t say it. Only fights to hold eye contact, to keep his voice from shaking. Almost. Almost. “Younger cats already have been killed by this.” He looks past Cooperstar, to little Gullkit watching him with wide, blue eyes. “I know you would keep any cat from suffering, if you could. You were a good leader, Cooperstar. A great one. But–”

“But even the best leader can’t prevent a plague.” Cooperstar sighs; he seems old, suddenly, though he had still been in his prime, when he had died. “And I fear I wasn’t that. So many things I could have done differently…”

He trails off. Starclan is silent around them, except for a murmuring of voices; very like the noise of water at the Moonfalls.  Coniferfrost waits, his heart hammering. The only thing still living, here– and soon to join them in the afterlife, if he doesn’t succeed. 

At last, Cooperstar lifts his head. “Very well. Name your deputy as soon as you return to camp. And their successor, too. Bring our clan back from the brink.”

Coniferfrost blinks. He almost says– just like that? It had worked– it had worked. “I will,” he says, from very far away, his mind racing to catch up. “I swear it.”

“Then step forward, Coniferfrost, and receive your first life. I give you one for courage. May it never fail you.”

Coniferfrost- Coniferstar, now- is still shaky, as he crosses the border into Furclan.

His legs don’t quite want to hold him– or. That’s not quite right. His pelt doesn’t quite want to hold him; there’s so much energy, so much life, buzzing beneath his skin, it feels like it might split at any second, and go spilling all of him out into the balmy air.

Some cousin to adrenaline, magnified a thousand times.

He can barely make himself stand still long enough to scent the air. There is no trace of Furclan– thank the stars. Coniferstar might shake apart, if he had to hide and wait for them to pass.

Was it like this for Cooperstar, after his ceremony? Or–

Or does Starclan know, somehow? What he plans to do? They must see he’s heading away from Featherclan territory. Are the lives he’s gained rebelling, at his plan? 

Coniferstar closes his eyes. His new clan can never be allowed to speak to Starclan. They can never be allowed to come near the Three Clans’ territories.

No. It will be a fresh start– healthy cats. Good air, untainted by the smell of rot. Coniferstar will not die, choking on his phlegm, not die shivering and feverish, not cough until his lungs give out. Perhaps he won’t have to be a medicine cat, at all– won’t ever watch another clanmate waste away.

A cool wind blows. Coniferstar lifts his nose, to it. Fresh, sharp air; bright with the smell of salt. Yes– North. Past Furclan, and beyond. Through the rocky hills, afroth with wildflowers. To find some cleaner place.

As a person who is still affected by their childhood trauma, a major difficulty I face is allowing myself to be vulnerable with the way I express myself. Whether it is through clothing, accessorizing, hair, or makeup. I present myself as more as a tomboy, in hopes to deter the male gaze. However, recently through this blog, I’ve allowed myself to express my love for pink and I realized just how much I loveeeeee girly shit. For 2023, while I know pink will rule my year fashion wise, I hope to incorporate colors like below into my fashion. I am a girl who is used to relying on darker colors in hopes to avoid bringing attention to herself. However, over the ending months of 2022, I realized that as long as I output positive energy, I will receive positive energy and attention on myself. In 2023, I will no longer allow myself to shy away from anyone.

Makeup:

Okay so, I have a odd relationship with makeup. While I love it, I absolutely hate how foundations look on me. So in 2022, I experimented with some makeup brands and created a “full makeup , no makeup” starter kit for myself! The products I will swear by are:

So because I have oily skin, I don’t use a primer or a setting spray / powder. To prep my skin I use a Vitamin E oil and a Collagen oil. The “Blurring Balm Powder” actually makes my skin look EXTREMELY matte and lasts all day!

Hair:

Beyond the fashion things, I do want to express myself with my hair also! I have ginger shoulder length locs now so by the end of the year I want my hair to be touching my upper back (so I can start using claw clips). Some hairstyles / colors I’ll like to try out are:

I'm going insane having to take a break from drawing for a few days and so instead I'm going to just sorta Think really hard about an upcoming project: Bird Lamp.

The inspo image are these tables lamps

which i think were made by lost wax casting that metal frame and then blowing a glob of glass into it. I'm also pretty certain these are candle lamps. which is cool but I'm already too much of a fire hazard for that.

So my plan to make these tiffany style is this:

First I'm going to make a hanging lamp instead of a desk one because I like hanging lamps. Also it's specifically going to be an eclectus, specifically Holly of @parrot-parent 's blog fame bc they have a lot of pictures of her i can use for reference and bc i have a fuck ton of red glass and Merlin's tail intimidates me. The goal is to get pretty close to the original, so her beak, eyes, tail and legs will all be cast. I'm not doing a full face cast bc eclectuses don't really have that look. I'm not sure of the pose yet

first step is to 3d model the bird, then use the paper craft blender extension to make a pattern to cut out of cardboard. I won't fully model up the parts that will be metal but I will prepare size reffos that can then be cut out bc i want practice with clay.

Make the cardboard mold. Fill that with spray foam and By God wear gloves. Fucking do it don't just skip gloves again.Youve regretted it every

sculpt the other bits and use the size guides and foam dummy as reference.

sand cast them and cast them in aluminum.

on the beak legs and tail, drill out the mounting holes and feed wire through them Use the wires to pin them to the model temporarily.

wrap the outside edge of the eye in copper tape so that it can be soldered in place with the glass.

draw on the dummy to plan out feathers, transfer to paper, cut and shape the glass to fit. make sure to leave space for the bulbs wire

once one section is done tape and solder in place before repeating the last step for the rest of the bird. leaving a large section that will be hidden un attached.

carefully dig out the foam.

take the wires from the metal bits and solder them down into the inside seams.

make the mounting bracket for the bulb and put it inside the bird. also figure out how to hang it and add additional inside supports if needed.

attach the section that was left off with a hinge and pin lock so you can add and replace the bulb later.

polish and tarnish everything

add the lamp kit and bulb

done.

On the toolkit thing, here's some more pointers:

Dollar stores have tools, usually of decent quality too

Get an all-in-one screwdriver if you can find one

Get robertson head screws (square hole) in 1 1/2" and 2" - robertson screws are easier to install and remove than flat or philips (star/cross) heads and the screwdriver itself doesn't strip as quickly

Electrical tape - not only for cords, but for plumbing and other non-permanent/non-damaging items

Polyfilla and a putty knife can fill almost any hole in drywall and don't require any sanding to make even if you're careful

Caulking fills gaps really well, and bathroom caulking is also water and mold resistant

Spray foam is a cheap and effective insulator for gaps in the walls (just be careful bc that shit is hard to get off)

An adjustable wrench and adjustable pliers (specifically vice-grip curved jaw locking pliers) can solve nearly any issue

Toothpicks and wood glue effectively fill too-loose holes in cabinets. Pack toothpicks dipped in wood glue tightly into a hole, let it set for 24 hours, then come back and cut the excess away with a chisel or boxcutter. You will now be able to re-screw your cabinet door on.

Wood glue can fix most wooden furniture, but may need to be clamped/strapped in position (the tighter the pressure, the closer it will bind)

Pipe cement can stop leaks in outflow pipes (so long as it's allowed to cure)

Other unrelated tips:

NEVER fuck with your electricity. ALWAYS pay for that to be fixed professionally. Same with gas lines.

Plumbing can be fucked with, but don't try to replace whole sections of pipe without knowing what you're doing.

Rugs are superior to carpet. A lot of them (especially mats and runners designed for bathrooms) can be run through a washing machine. They are also easier to replace.

Windex and vim can clean basically everything in your house

Replace your furnace filters regularly (at least once a month if you have animals)

If your windows are drafty/cold in winter, there are plastic sheet kits in hardware stores to seal them up.

Linoleum is a (relatively) cheap and easy-to-usr flooring material that can cover hideous tile or splintering wood.

Cheap glassware is superior to plastic. It doesn't deform or stain and is microwave safe (sometimes even oven safe).

Make sure you know what runs on what electrical breaker

If more than one thing is powered by the breakers that control your furnace or electric stove, get that fixed IMMEDIATELY

Use soft white or yellow coloured light bulbs in rooms you just hang out in (like living rooms/bedrooms) and clear/bright white for utility rooms (bathroom/laundry/furnace rooms/kitchen). It reduces strain on your eyes.

Humans need greenery for our mental health. Put a little plant in each room.

If you're strapped for cash or time, don't buy anything in white. Opt for coloured clothes/sheets/furniture/paint bc it's way easier to maintain and hides dirt better

Mattresses need to be off the floor so they don't grow mold and can regulate your temperature better

Invest in good pillows you can machine wash.

Frozen and canned vegetables are just as good as fresh ones

Cooking roasts from frozen keeps the moisture in better than letting it thaw

You can do a lot with garlic plus and margarine

Real wooden furniture - even second-hand - is always superior to particle board furniture. It lasts much longer, is easier to repair and can be refinished if necessary.

Thick-bottomed stainless steel pots will last you a lifetime - if you have the money for a set, they're well worth it.

Dollar stores have glasses, utensils and poreclain dishware. If you're in a pinch, they're good and sturdy.

If you have a yard, invest in a mitre saw (for tree branches), an iron/steel spade, a metal rake and a metal snow shovel (if necessary) - all with wooden shafts. Plastic gets brittle through the cold. Also, a good bucket never goes awry.

Shop vacs can vacuum up water and medium-sized debris if the filter is removed.

For sandpaper, the lower the number, the more aggressive the grit is. Higher numbers produce finer sands.

Baldur's Gate 3 Lae'zel Cosplay Build - Let's go shopping! (1/x)

Hi everyone, trying to be more active on Tumblr since I don't exactly like using Facebook for a cosplay page (I use it more personal, IRL stuff), don't have enough dedicated cosplay images for an independent Instagram, and dislike the disorganized nature of Twitter (more suited for ponderings; also M*sk) so wanted to share my cosplay build here and process.
