i wanted to start spn... but like, only for cas. and i just found out that he doesn't appear until s4. do u think i should watch all the seasons or is it ok if i start directly from s4?

short answer : yes it's completely okay to start watching directly from season 4 if you get the gist of the first three seasons <3

long answer : *rant under the cut*

i think it's understandable to have the urge to watch casnatural. i mean. personally i DO recommend watching just cas episodes.

BUT. watching supernatural seasons 1 through 15 gives you Thee Most Unparalleled Media Experience™

bestie I DON'T EVEN KNOW how to describe it. sometimes you just get frustrated while watching the show and that's where 'sUpErNaTuRaL is A bAd ShOw' kicks in.. which kinda sucks. but like WHAT EVEN is the point of watching spn if you don't grit your teeth whenever an episode doesn't have cas.

tbh i actually really really like the first three seasons. THE LIGHTING. THE PLOT. THE ACTING. THE OUTFITS. MWAH. CHEF'S KISS. i mean there's a whole lot of problematic stuff. it's not like i enjoyed seeing just white people mucking around being "american" or whatever. but there are fun episodes.

it's the pre-hell dean being SOOOOO and sammy being SOOOOO. i know j*hn's alive and you'll feel like punching him every second he speaks but it'll be okay. he dies. well, technically

i think maybe you could binge through a few episodes from the beginning just to get dean and sam. their dynamic y'know. ((please season 1 itself has wendigo, skin, route 666, faith and scarecrow. like the brainworms are insane))

in the end. IT'S YOUR CHOICE. YOUR VIEWING EXPERIENCE. you could start from season 4 AND THEN come back to watch the early seasons. OR like you could never watch them ever and that's okay too!

also i think it's funny that you want to start watching spn,,,, is it too late for me to tell you to turn away? and never touch the show? cause you WILL hate the ending.

trust me, you'll literally stay up till 4 am thinking how you could've made the show a whole lot better if only you could change EVERYTHING and it was all different. sigh
