Meet my Spidersona, Web Weaver!

ID #1 [A paper and alcohol marker drawing of my spidersona. It is a picture of the full page: On the left hand side is my spidersona in full costume, with a blue, oversized high collared poncho/jacket with pink accents, and the sleeves cut off just below their elbows. A few facts about them:

Has been his earth's spider person for about 2 1/5 years now

They got bit by their spider during a class field trip to the art museum.

Met Hobie after a dimension hopping trip gone wrong

Got a watch about six months later after assisting with an anomaly that crashed on their world

Has a lot of responsibilities, but somehow always manages to find time for their yarn art projects

The anarchy symbol patch on the sleeve of their jacket is a gift from Hobie as well

Gwen crashes is his dimension from time to time as well

Its family does not like Web Weaver, which makes for some tense evening discussions

He's friends with @calciumcryptid 's spidersona, Ecto-Skeleton, and they like to visit each other's worlds

He also incorporates modified crochet hooks and knitting needles into his fighting style

Earth-64 | Jade Bird / Catheart

Jade Bird is a fine arts student by day, and an art thief by night under the codename Catheart. She is the Black Cat variant on Erika Mustermann's (Ecto-Skeleton) earth, and serves as Ecto-Skeleton primary and only love interest. His primary weapon of choice is some fancy claws and a giant paintbrush he wields like a baseball bat.

PERSONALITY

Unlike other variations of Black Cat, Jade Bird is rather quiet and unassuming as she likes to blend in with the crowd rather than be at the center of it. This made him undetectable, even to Ecto-Skeleton, for a long time. Despite her quiet demeanor, Jade is the resident joke sniper and offers snide remarks in the most random of moments. Ultimately, he is kind only using his thief career as a way to pay his bills.

Jade Bird is notably a horrendous flirt, a trait she shares with Erika Mustermann.

BASIC STORY RUNDOWN

Erika and Jade are the classic friends to lovers romance. The two met through mutual friends at a small get together, and bonded due to their quieter and more introverted natures. After the classic sapphic situationship stage, the two started to officially date to the relief of their friends.

Their second meeting went a little differently as Ecto-Skeleton and Catheart. Despite her prolific career as a thief, Catheart never caught the attention of the terrifying Ecto-Skeleton. Simply put, Ecto-Skeleton was aware of Catheart's existence and activities but found the thief too low of a threat. Until, Ecto-Skeleton needed expertise only a thief could give and (literally) hunted Catheart down. Scared for his life, Catheart was sure he was going to die at the vigilante's hands but after a few grunts from Ecto-Skeleton figured out they only wanted his assistance. Since then, they've maintained a cordial working relationship.

Eventually, Erika figured they should reveal their secret identity to Jade if they were to continue their relationship. Upon the reveal, Jade awkwardly revealed she was Catheart but Erika didn't mind and the two continued dating with their secret identities on the table. Other rogues have since picked up in Ecto-Skeleton and Catheart's romantic relationship, which has earned Catheart a plethora of titles.

KNOWLEDGE OF THE SPIDERVERSE

As Erika's partner, Jade is aware of the Spiderverse. In fact, Erika and Jade are engaged by the time Erika meets Web Weaver, which has led Web Weaver to meet Jade before any of the other spiderpeople.

Upon hearing Miguel O'Haras speech, Erika got angry at the insinuation they were not supposed to fall in love and retain a healthy romantic relationship with their Black Cat variant. Especially since Erika's canonical events were so broken they did not know who their Gwen Stacy or Mary Jane Watson variants were supposed to be. Jade shares the opinion that it is stupid that some set original timeline is supposed to dictate the spider's romantic lives.

Spidersona | Ecto-Skeleton Introduction

Fine, let's do this one more fucking time

My name is Calci Crypt.

About seven years ago, I was bitten by a radioactive spider and crawled my way out of a mass grave. Without a clue to my identity or a penny to my name, I made my way to Louisville, Kentucky where I rebuilt myself from the ground up. Which let me tell you, is not easy when you are essentially a Jane Doe with superpowers.

It's alright though, because for seven years I've been the one and only Ecto-Skeleton. I saved the city, fell in love, fought off my apparent best friends, made a deal with my favorite donut shop, graduated from a trade school, hunted down a serial killer, found out said serial killer was the one who killed me, and went on to do advertisements for my favorite donut shop.

It was a good life, until a random ass portal opened and this weird ass scorpion fella came out followed by another spider-like individual. Before I knew it I was also dragged through a portal, and my ass landed in this Spider Society.

Thank gods Web-Weaver (@floof-ghostie) was there or else that might have been the thing to make me finally lose it.

Me: What if Miguel O'Hara forced a "One Last Day" on Ecto-Skeleton in a vain attempt to "fix" Ecto-Skeleton's timeline only for Ecto-Skeleton's sheer grief and mourning of their previous life to completely corrupt their world?

The small thing about Ecto-Skeleton's world is everyone is fucking terrified of them.

Their citizens? Terrified.

Their rogues? Terrified.

The media? Terrified.

Other vigilantes? Terrified.

The only person who isn't scared of them is like exactly four rogues, and their girlfriend. (Not including their spider friends.)

I'm kind of wondering what the reactions were when Ecto-Skeleton's spider society friends learned their backstory. Imagine you are hanging out with your friend and they casually drop the reason they are alive is because of the spider bite.

Ecto-Skeleton: I was murdered and tossed into a mass grave, but a spider crawled in and through its bite resurrected me but I had no memory and have spent the past years building a life for myself.

The more I develop Ecto-Skeleton's world, the more their death not only broke their canon events but broke the canon timeline of their entire world.

In both way, the idea of my atsv oc Ecto-Skeleton being in the spider society consisting of people who are still agonizing over one ladies death is humorous.

Ecto-Skeleton doesn't want to seem unsympathetic, but it is really hard to be sympathetic when their greatest hardship is a) being murdered by a serial killer b) having their memory wiped c) having to rebuild a life as a Jane Doe.

Meanwhile the other spiders had two people die (in admittedly tragic ways), so Ecto-Skeleton just can't help but stand there awkwardly in the corner.

Then again, Ecto-Skeleton dying was the tragic death that caused a domino effect in their universe so maybe they don't have any room to judge.

Spidersona | Ecto-Skeleton's Earth

General Information

Ecto-Skeleton's Earth is Earth-CC.

Ecto-Skeleton operates in Louisville, Kentucky.

Ecto-Skeleton was murdered when they were eighteen, and was bitten and subsequently resurrected close to their nineteenth birthday.

Upon entering the Spider Society, Ecto-Skeleton is twenty-five.

All of Ecto-Skeleton's rogues are either members of their family or their former friends from their past life. Except for their Black Cat variant, Catheart, who is their love interest.

Ecto-Skeleton is also known as the Crying Spider in their universe.

Canon Events (& How They Got Fucked Up)

While Ecto-Skeleton was supposed to be bitten by the spider, it is heavily implied they weren't supposed to die and lose their memories. This event broke their canon events.

Gwen Stacy's Death: Since Ecto never ended up with their Earth's Gwen Stacy, they survived.

Upside Down Kiss: While this event does happen, it was with the wrong person. Due to the fact Ecto pursued a relationship with their universe's Felicia Hardy, the kiss was between Spiderman and Black Cat instead of MJ.

Best Friend Death: Instead of Ecto-Skeleton losing their Harry Osborne, their Harry Osborne lost Ecto-Skeleton which led to a rogue origin story instead of a way to motivate Ecto.

Police Captain Death: Due to being killed by a serial killer, Ecto refrained from getting close to the police due to the serial killer still being at large. Any death among law enforcement won't effect Ecto in anyway.

Death of a Father Figure: While Ecto is a child of divorce, they were supposed to reunite with their father only for him to die later. Due to having no memory of their parents, their father became safe from the eventual meet up. Similarly to the best friend event, Ecto became the death that spurred their father to become Earth-CC's Chameleon and spurred their mother to become Earth-CC's Owl.

Bonding with the Symbiote: While this event does happen, instead of being slowly corrupted Ecto bonded with the symbiote and eventually convinced it to find a better host that aligned with their ideals. The symbiote would later latch onto one of Ecto's new friends.

Gwen Stacy Romance: Due to Ecto pursuing a relationship with Catheart, Ecto never met their Earth's version of Gwen Stacy and therefore never had the romance common among spider people and subsequent death.

Mary Jane Watson Romance: Due to Ecto pursuing a relationship with Catheart, Ecto never met their Earth's version of Mary Jane Watson and therefore never had the romance common among spider people.

Miguel O'Hara would fucking hate Ecto-Skeleton, because their own death was so strong it destroyed the canon event deaths from ever happening in their world.

Exo-Skeleton: Ecto-Skeleton has the ability to create external armor around their body from calcium making the armor bone like.

Regeneration (Extended): Due to being undead, Ecto-Skeleton's regeneration serves more as immunity to any form of fatality making them essentially invincible.

Skeletal Management: Ecto-Skeleton can take out their bones and use them as weapons without losing their inherent form.

Spider Sense (Extended): Alongside sensing danger, Ecto-Skeleton can also sense if someone is alive or dead and how close they are to death whether physically or mentally.

Undead Physiology: Due to being undead, Ecto-Skeleton has access to other weird abilities such as being unable to feel pain, not having to sleep, immunity to psychic powers, and natural weaponry like claws and fangs.

Web Slinging (Extended): Ecto-Skeleton's has the ability to naturally make webs, but unlike other spiders the base for their webbing is calcium so they have to consume a lot of calcium. Their webs can also harden into a bone like material which freaks out the public.

Spidersona | Vigilantism

Vigilantism is illegal in Ecto-Skeleton's world, and new vigilantes avoid death by police just as much as they avoid death by criminals.

Vigilantes act like warlords. They each exert heroics control over a city, and are immensely territorial over their respective territory.

Hero teams do not exist on Earth-CC, because none of the vigilantes are able to work together without tearing each other apart.

Sidekicks do not exist on Earth-CC, because vigilantes are afraid any apprentices will kill them to take over their territory.

There are no no-kill policies. Vigilantes will not survive if they have a no-kill policy because everything and everyone is trying to kill them.

Ecto-Skeleton was the first vigilante in their world, and they accidentally set this precedent through being a dangerous mysterious loner.

After hanging out with their spider friends, Ecto-Skeleton discovered there was merit working as a team and started to network.

The first vigilantes they networked with were their earths Punisher (an ex-veteran gunsmith) and Morbius (an archeologist vampire).
