I have been having fun working out ways to differentiate the Fleet Fangs and Ice Fangs, besides just "one has bigger teeth". So they get more bearlike shapes and lips + the hypothesized extended gumline down the sabers (they also use boar and sow like bears rather than tom and molly like cats)

I keep thinking that this Gojo is just like Sukuna. I truly don't see much of a difference between them beyond the human/curse point of view

#If not Sukuna then some other more palatable special degree curses like the one he just killed that talked about the new humanity #It truly looks like that I don't know #Trying to be unbiased about the pretty concepts I take personally #and trying to ignore the silly fact that Sukuna's domain is literally called temple of evil or something (makes one want to ask #so many things like why the hell does he call it such? isn't evil good for you? Isn't a species kind of thing?#Why are you adhering to human notions and conceptualisations if you seem so beyond them and think nothing of them?)#Gojo is quite terrifying from a curse point of view. He is cruel and merciless. He can't be reasoned with and he is playful. He has his fun #His powers are not much different in structure from those of a curse and he said that the power capacity of a sorcerer comes from birth #So it's ontological. It's not just skill. It's an essential differentiation. Just like curses #It's just... I don't know. It's almost as if he were a curse himself. He talks about emotions being the source of curses?#Maybe that's the difference? Was Sukuna born that way too?#I don't know. I keep thinking that he is quite idk monstrous in a very Sukuna way. He isn't terrible like Sukuna is like with the kids #But he is human after all. He does adhere to human categories. Sukuna is something else #And yet Gojo uses the kids. He draws lines and he is caring and gentle and sweet in his way #but he very much uses the kids and is a bit flippant about it. And he is human #I don't know. It seems completely intentional this similarity between Gojo and the curses and Gojo and Sukuna in particular #Sukuna seems interested in Megumi while Gojo seems interested in Itadori and idk I just keep thinking #but I'm not even know about what or how #I find this man very hard to trust haha the parallels are intriguing #I think this piece of worldbuilding has potential as well as their characterisations #I hope the author will do something with all this #I talk too much #Jujutsu Kaisen #Gojo Satoru #Sukuna

Setting your story in a world where gender doesn't exist is all fun and games until you need to write about a character's parents

#original #i got away with it for so long by keeping them in the background and just referring to them as “[character]'s parents”#but now they need to be in a scene #what do i do?#do i give them names?#do i have the character refer to their own parents by name?#new problem: it's a pokemon world and pokemon typically go by their species #nicknames are used to differentiate between pokemon of the same species #i guess they would do that? now i need to make nicknames for them #but still they're the kind of parents who would treat being called by name by their kids as disrespect #but like they have to have SOME way of having the kids differentiate between them #i've heard of people with same-gender parents use terms like “mommy and mama” or “dad and pop”#anyone out there have a pair of nonbinary parents?

I know I'm not the best artist on the planet but do you think it would be good if I tried to do reference art on how to draw European rabbits and cottontails along with their differences?

Outside of the typical hare vs rabbit comparison. There are actually more noticeable differences between the various leporid species.

Partly I'm picky and I'm not going to stop anyone from drawing/styling how they want, but I see usually WD fanart type art where to European rabbits if they don't have hare anatomy then they look more like a cottontail.

In addition, I also see references of this type when it comes to comparing species of other animals, but not much with leporids/lagomorphs.

#there's a pic on DA which helps to differentiate the two species with pictures but is not an art reference at all.#also things can vary depending on the site too like the large of the ears or coat colours

Something cool dungeon meshi does with its world building is how it separates the idea of race and species in relation to sentient species, for example, while it features fantasy creatures and people, things like dwarves, elves and half-foots(halflings), they're are all humans, tallmen are the closest thing to a "human", but they're never directly called that, in actuality they're all part of the same species, just different races, which is contrast with orcs, kobolds and onis, which are all different species and races

Yet another Redesign of a different Crossover Digimon

This is another crossover Digimon oc that I made a couple years ago.

Soko (Redesign created on 2-12-2023)

Soko (Yes, that's his name) is a Elecmon that got taken in as Spiral's partner Digimon. This little guy is very friendly and has huge "protect me" energy. He is very chill. I hope to elaborate later on him, (Like everybody else if being honest) but that isn't the point right now.

Soko Old Design (2017-2018)

Not a lot of changes. I made the tuft on his head bigger and removed and altered some stripes. Like Mono, I altered some colors to be more pleasing. More varying contrast, hopefully.

Bonus: Vi-Elecmon Soko (Created near the same date as the Redesign)

A Vi-Elecmon version of Soko for Dark Digivolution purposes. I went for a darker body pallete and lighter marking pallete to contrast Soko's light body-darker marking color pallete. As for why Soko has a separate entry for a Dark Digivolution pallete? It's a surprise! Hehe

I think I'm having to much fun with this...

(Still kinda am)#Like Mono #I chose his name because I was lazy and used a part of his species name for a name.#Soko's I got from entering words in google translate #There's another character that I gave the Google Translate treatment #I talk about them later #I put this rant in tags because I didn't want to put it in the post proper #but now you know #my art!
