Our peninsula has an historic past including the old swing bridge in South Bristol connecting Johns Bay to the Damariscotta River. The Gut as locals call it, had one of only three swing bridges in Maine. In 2017 they replaced it with a safer drawbridge that didn’t break down so much. . my mom is in rehab now :-) so progress. The therapy is supposed to be working so things are going in the right direction. It has a busy week for her. limo service to the hospital, meeting lots of new people and now she is essentially in a exercise camp with spa service. She keeps saying that she wants to come home so I guess she likes my cooking. At any rate took another tour around the peninsula just learning the roads again since this has been a busy winter.
