The Urbz DS/GBA Lost Tracks
Some early versions of songs, and a few short tracks that were never used in the final game.
Songs were recorded from the original source files, so they are a lot smoother than they would have been if they were recorded from original hardware.
Track List:
0:00 Urbania Day - early version
2:07 Urbania Night - early version
3:10 Oldies - first draft (started as Create-A-Sim)
3:22 (Untitled) - could have been draft for a minigame
3:44 Trance (unused)
4:02 (EDIT) was a placeholder track from Bustin' Out, not a lost Urbz track after all

Reaper: What are you still doing here?
Aguri: I’m hanging out with you! :D
Reaper: Yes, of course. Just ‘hanging out’, how quaint. You know, if I had just ‘hung out’ when I was your age, I might not have made my first billion kills before I was eighteen. Sure, I might have had a better childhood, but you can’t kill your childhood, so what’s the point?

best way i can describe sims bustin out for gba is imagine playing stardew valley but theres no wiki so you cant compulsively check everyones schedules and just have to rely on what you can vaguely remember the last place was you saw someone and instead of growing crops your main source of income is constantly mowing your uncles lawn
theres also a chicken that can just kill you
#time to tag sims posting#sims#ive paused playing it for now because its just turning into a grindfest for simoleons#but the writing is extremely fun as usual#narrative driven sims games really were the best#txt

The Urbz: Sims in the City:
Genre: Simulation;
Console: Gamecube;
Year: 2004;
Story: "In the console version of the game, the protagonist of the story moves from his or her mother's house to Simcity, where he or she moves into an apartment in the city. In the intro, the protagonist decides to go clubbing. Once the protagonist gets to the club, he or she is rejected because they fail at performing a dance move. However, will.i.am of the Black Eyed Peas, along with the other members of the band, arrive at the club and help the protagonist enter. After the intro, a few days later the protagonist goes home and is greeted by Will and his friend Darius, who is the most popular person in Simcity. After showing off their guitar moves, Darius welcomes the protagonist to the city and they leave. Later on, it is discovered that Darius is missing parts from his secret machine. He promises the protagonist that if they finds the parts, he will have a special surprise for him or her. After defeating the villains in the game's districts, the protagonist is asked to come to the penthouse owned by Darius. After arriving at the penthouse, he or she is greeted by Darius, along with the faction bosses from the city districts, and is given a key by Darius to the penthouse. Afterwards, Darius leaves the city on his blimp to travel to Miniopolis (the setting of The Urbz Handheld)."
Gameplay: a while ago, I've reviewed the Gameboy Advance version of this game. If you saw that review, then you can tell from the gifsets, that this game is not that similar (at least lookwise). However, this game feels more like a regular the sims game, but with goals. I said that because of the controls. On the GBA games, you use the arrow keys to control your character. In this game, you use the analog to move a cursor, just like in the PC games. With this cursor, you can click on the objects & sims that you want to interact with. There's 9 main districts in this game, and each district has their own jobs, clothing style and personality. If you want to get along with everyone, and complete all the goals, you will need to complete the 3 faces of each job & you will need to be wearing the clothes of each district as well. Also, with the specific clothing style, you will be able to enter the vip areas of each place. Just like the GBA games, there a job per district. This jobs are sort of like minigames. You have to do the job yourself by creating & selling your products, interact with your clients, treat yourself, etc... This is actually a really fun part of the game: getting money. The most common thing you will unlock in this game, is new interactions. There's many different social moves in this game, which makes this game even more goofy and silly. You also have some special interactions. Some of this special moves are needed to complete certain goals. However, this special moves are limited, and the only way you can get them is by going to the vip areas of each district, at midnight. Darius, the guy who helps you out during the inteir game, will give you this special moves. Besides unlocking new interactions, districts and new clothing, you can also unlock new houses. There's 2 houses you can unlock, but the main one is the Darius Penthouse. If you defeat all the rivals in each district, they will give you a part of Darius secret machine (aka a money printer). To conclude, in this game you have to take care of your needs as well. However, you need to worry about 5 needs: bladder, hygine, hunger, fun & sleep. If you are a big fan of The Sims, then you will have a lot of fun with this game.
Graphics: this is such a charming game. It defenily looks better than the GBA game. Some of the districts are very boring, but there are some that are so damn gorgeous. My favorite district has to be the Skyline one, where is all about the rich & famous. It's so funny and pretty.
Soundtrack: it's really cool. Each district has their specific type of music, and so you will listen to different genres of music.
Final Thoughts: this game is very nostalgic to me. I had this game and The Sims: Bustin' Out on my Playstation 2, and I had a lot of fun with both games, specially with this one. This game has so much for you to unlock, and tones of fun for you to have. Some of the interactions are hilarious, while others makes you wonder (how tha hell is this not a mature rated game). If you are a fan of The Sims, and you want to explore different cities, then you should give this game a try. Overall, I will give it a 9 out of 10.

The Sims: Bustin' Out:
Genre: Simulation & Adventure;
Console: Gameboy Advance;
Year: 2003;
Story: This is the story about a boy/girl, who's going to spend his summer vacations at their uncle's house. In this city, you will meet many new friends, work in all sort of professions, and find many new secrets and twists.
Gameplay: this game is different from the regular The Sims games. First difference is the fact you can control freely your character. You move the arrow keys in order to move your character. Secondly, this is a game with sets of goals, in order to unlock new houses, new parts of the city, and more. The interactions with other Sims is different as well. You have to pick some phares that will make the other sim happy. If you want to make money in this game, you have to do any of the available jobs. This jobs are the "mini games" of this game. You can only create & control one character. Unfortunatly, you can only be romantic with the opposite gender. Sadly, homosexuality isn't a thing in this game. There's a bunch of more differences, but they are minor details. Just like the regular games, you can buy furniture, and decorate your houses the way you want. Also, you have to take care of your character's needs.
Graphics: honestly, this game isn't very pretty. It's a Gameboy Advance game, so the creators had to pick gameplay over graphics. At times, it can be complicated to understand what you're looking at, at times, but the amount of details they were able to add in this game is pretty nice. Overall, it's an ok game, in terms of graphics.
Soundtrack: for the most part, I really like it. It contains new themes, and new versions of the sims 1's soundtrack.
Final Thoughts: honestly, I think the Gameboy Advance trilogy is very underrated (except The Sims 2 for the Gba <.<). This is such a fun game. It was fun to explore the city, meet the npc's, do some of the jobs, drive around with my motorcycle, etc... I had so much fun with it. It may have some annoying missions to accomplish, but oh well. Overall, I will give this game a 9 out of 10.
