I'm ambivalent on him & his games however I do think that ALL OF MY FOLLOWERS should GO FOLLOW TUMBLR ACCOUNT SONICSEGAJP for AWESOME (BASED PERHAPS) REVIEWS AND ANALYSIS OF THE SONIC THE HEDGEHOG VIDEO GAME FRANCHISE in the FUTURE☝️☝️. I dunno the only Sonic game I've completed is that murder mystery visual novel

I’ve seen a whole skirmish from people immediately wanting Sally in the games (notice how I specifically said Sally in this, not the FFs in general...) on Twitter, and I can’t help but wonder: how much would need to be changed in order to make Sally work in the games?

A few things I noted are that:

1) The princess title might have to go, as Blaze already has a similar role in the games.

2) Love Interest with Sonic would have to go as well -- Amy’s already got that covered, along with the ‘down to earth’ idea that Sally has.

3) Sonic cannot, in any way, shape or form have to kneel to Sally. Like, even if her plans are sound, Sonic will still do his own thing regardless if he follows Sally’s plans to the letter.

4) Sally can’t be Sonic’s best friend -- that’ll have to be returned back to Tails, along with being the ‘smart’ character of the group as well.

5) Even if we don’t agree on the ‘down to earth’ aspect of Amy, we can also agree that there’s other characters in the franchise that do the ‘down to earth’ aspect better than Sally ever could -- heck! Not to toot my own horn here, but the fans have made better OCs that fit that ‘down to earth’ aspect better than Sally ever could! I made one as well! His name’s Ovi!

At the end of it all, what does Sally really bring to the table if SEGA/Sonic Team brings her into the games? ... There isn’t a whole lot.

Sonic Omens takes place between Sonic Unleashed and Sonic Lost World, and in true post-Unleashed fashion, Sonic misses a date with Amy.

You know what I find to be the worst part about SEGA bringing Ian on board for Frontiers is?

I worry about the sort of precedent this sets for the fandom by and large; that this will give fans the impression that if they don't like whoever's involved with the franchise in any capacity, all the fans have to do is just send that very person nothing but death threats & unwarranted scorn in order to drive them to leave the franchise entirely... and then wonder why Sonic fans are seen as insatiable entitled children after the fact.

We all know how the fandom treated the previous American writers like subhuman, and how their experience with the fandom was apparently so bad that they were unable to appear at conventions out of fear, so it'd stand to reason that history's bound to repeat itself.

This should have been answered a while back, but I wanted to give myself a bit of time after getting bombarded with the news: Mainly, that while I have stated in the past I would like to see it happen out of spite, I honestly would never wish for Flynn to be given the same set of treatment that Pontaff had gotten in the past, and to this day, I still do not understand why Pontaff got the vitriol they were subjected to.

The only reason I feel as to why it happened is people got upset that all their eggs didn't hatch, and instead of blaming it on their own overtly filled sense of (wrongly placed) entitlement, they felt the need to blame it on two people that they could scapegoat.
