"Do you ever think that, if given the chance, the others would have had their own Donbrother?" Sonoi asked as the three Nouto skidded behind a wall, in their armored forms, weapons drawn despite not wanting to be seen.

"What brought this on?" Sononi asked, peering around a corner, Sonoza doing the same above her as Sonoi did the same above him.

"Well, I 'have' Tarou, you 'have' Inuzuka Tsubasa, and Sonoza 'has' Haruka, but Shinichi, Kijino Tsuyoshi, and Momotani Jirou don't particularly get along with any of the Nouto. And Sono456 did come to Earth as well."

"Certainly there is a better time to ask this than when who knows what are searching for us." The three of them dipped down.

Next to Sononi, Sonoza nodded, rather frantically.

"You're right," Sonoi sighed, opening a Door so that the three of them could escape, making sure that the other two went ahead of him once he checked for danger.

"Somehow, I think Sonoshi would have gotten along with Shinichi if given a chance," Sonoi said as the three of them caught their breath in an abandoned warehouse, dropping their armor and checking that they hadn't sustained any injuries. It didn't appear that they had, thankfully, although Sonoi was going to have to speak to Tarou about this possible new threat.

"Who wants to think about that?" Sononi said, giving Sonoi a look of sheer disapproval and disgust.

"Would Sonoroku get along with Momotani Jirou?" Sonoza asked as his hands flapped, eyes rolling a bit. He seemed to agree that Shinichi would get along with Sonoshi, as far as Sonoi could figure out.

"I was thinking the same, but that would leave Kijino Tsuyoshi with Sonogo…"

At that thought, the three of them shuddered. There wasn't any point in "assigning" a Donbrother to Sonona or Sonoya, though, even if it was Kijino Tsuyoshi, so no one suggested that as a possible alternative.

That, my dear readers, was an attempt at "localizing" Win Morisaki's "Ore Koso Only One" using the approximate translation of the TV length version of the theme put on the Ranger Wiki as a base. I spent a few days on it, and I understand it's hardly perfect (what with the creative liberties I took), but I felt it's only fitting that I go big for such a force of personality as Don Momotaro.

Episode 50, of Avataro Sentai Donbrothers. Can't believe it's finally ending. Our festival's about to as the clock strikes midnight on this town. I'm obviously gonna miss this series. But like... for how bittersweet this feels, I'm not sad at all. This is the best festival I've ever been to, and we've all made some truly unforgettable memories.

There ain't ever gonna be another series like Donbrothers, but I truly hope that it inspires some absolutely batshit insane stories to be told for years to come.

So, without further ado... Spoilers, I guess...

-Oh my God.

-Haruka was a self-insert for Toshiki Inoue all along!

-Haruka wins all the things. And you know what? She's more than earned it.

-WHAT THE FUCK THAT IS INOUE

-He and Sonoza are so proud.

-It was a weird path, one fraught with weirdos minor and major, insane bullshit left and right, things that just happen, extremely satisfying sound design, fights like you've never seen before, plenty of love and kindness spread about, and lots of screaming. It was all worth it.

things learned in episode 49:

momoi wants the team to train together, as there are so many of them not that they need to avoid being disruptive

sonoza and inuzuka feel that momoi is the most disruptive of the team

haruka announces that her manga might be getting serialized- her and sonoza run off to work on it

kijino has removed his wedding ring and says he’s moving

jiro says he is now as strong as two people

jiro introduces himself to sonoi, and sonoi notes that jiro is completely different from their first encounter

kijino resigns from his job and says he needs to re-evaluate his life- boss says that it’ll be too lonely without kijino and begs him to stay

momoi says that jiro is more normal now and that this is good, bc nothing is scarier than a normal guy

jiro says that is thanks to momoi that he was able to change and move past the illusions

momoi says that the food he gave him from rumi and the food terasaki made tasted the same- jiro subconsciously made the food from rumi in the way terasaki taught him to growing up

sonoi would be interested in seeing jiro and momoi duel, and has not given up on dueling momoi himself

momoi says that he doesn’t care who’s the strongest- jiro and sonoi say that he’s acting off bc momoi always tried to be the best- momoi acting out of character

kijino, inuzuka, and natsumi sit down together- kijino says he knows that miho was a juto- inuzuka asks kijino to forget about miho and go back to the man he was before, but kijino says it’s not that easy

inuzuka is seen by an officer and pursued- inuzuka reached out for natsumi but she rejects him and stays with kijino- inuzuka runs away and sononi goes after him

sononi fights off the police and destroys 3 police vehicles- telling them to leave inuzuka alone- inuzuka says this was not a smart move/overkill

natsumi and kijino go to kijino’s apartment- kijino lays the wedding photos so she won’t see them and says he has to move bc there are too many memories of miho there- admits that he was a fool to have fallen in love with a juto and that he has to come to terms that his life with miho was just a dream

natsumi looks at the wedding photos and tears-up- natsumi says that she was dreaming the same dream as kijino and enjoyed it- she hugs kijino and leaves in a hurry, leaving kijino confused

the donbrothers and sonoshi’s gang meet up at the oden cart- momoi and sonoi are referred to as “taro-chan” and “noi-chan” by cart owner

momoi does not recognize sonoshi’s gang- saying that he can’t let complete strangers buy him a meal when the gang offers to pay for them- the whole team notes this- when pointed out to momoi he seems to realize that he knows them a little

sonoya and sonona- nouto generals- watch the donbrothers and sonoshi’s gang fight the hitotsuki- notes that sonoshi’s gang is pathetic in their technique, but that it won’t matter in the end

after the battle, jiro and sonoi note that momoi has a great deal of strength within him

the team holds a birthday party, organized by kaito, for momoi- momoi says his birthday is still a ways away- kaito says he must have gotten the date wrong but saruhara doesn’t believe kaito would make such a mistake

the team goes through with the celebration, and momoi reflects on how when he was a child no one came to his birthday, but now he is surrounded by friends

by the original team momoi is gifted a donbrothers themed pillow- they wish him sweet dreams

the nouto on the team gift momoi a set of chopsticks for him to eat oden with

haruka asks momoi if he knows what happiness is now, reflecting back on how he said before that he never understood happiness- momoi says he has an idea of what happiness is- haruka asks if his happiness is being with the team, and momoi goes to deny and dies- upon him dying the team celebrates as it means his happiness does come from being with his team

Geats: Due to the current situation the DGP air a special presentation hosted by Samas and Niram, with the participants also watching in their sponsor rooms, Kyuun only communicating with Neon via note, each sponsor explains why they chose their players, Jean relating how he saw Ace, a high schooler at the time, fight Jamato, and he see a taste of Ace's first DGP, which doesn't look that long ago, Heisei, maybe late Showa. Kekera confirms to Keiwa the DGP has been played in past eras and future eras. Beroba hacks the broadcast, explaining the noble history of the Jamato, created for the DGP, and declares the Jamato Grand Prix, with the Jamato that gets Niram's Vision Driver creating their ideal world, and unleashes them on the city while telling Michinaga why she was drawn to him. Tsumuri reclaims the broadcast and announces the attack, the Riders go despite no official round being declared. As they fight, Jean comes in person to watch, Beroba mocking him. As they prepare to fight, two others turn up, Kekera in human form, and Kyuun, revealed as the man who approached Neon a couple of episodes ago. All four Sponsors take Riser form and start battling amongst themselves, Kyuun and Kekera's forms are more bestial. Niram intends to adapt to the current circumstances, pitting the DGP against the JGP.

Donbrothers: Haruka has won the Japan Manga Award for her new manga, Avataro Sentai Donbrothers, her friends and teammates in attendance. All save the manga's star, Momoi Taro. Earlier, Taro found himself not remembering customers, and goes to Haruka asking if she regrets the Donbrothers, only to learn now she truly doesn't, Saruhara says much the same. Sonogo goes on her ego stroke about beauty to a hooded figure, who reveals herself as Sonona, and has no patience for her ego boosting, and informs her she's going to die, Sonoroku runs into the other, Sonoya. They steal their prey's armoured forms, and cut them down. Natsumii makes clear she doesn't feel she can trust Inuzaka anymore, as he won't tell her anything, and leaves as Taro comes over, unable to recognise Natsumii, Inuzaka saying that despite it all he still enjoys being with the team, at which point Murasame appears and decides to fly off, Taro goes to Kijino, who says much the same. Sonoshi attacks a wedding, but is approached by Sonona and Sonoya, and flees in terror, as Sonoya decides to try and use Murasame as it flies past. The Donbrothers question Kaito on Taro's behaviour, as he is brought to the cell to have onigiri with Jin, and learn his memories are being reset. With the Noto joining the team and his successor, Jiro, having matured, he is meant to rest now, as we see Taro cannot recognise his father, before vanishing. Taro tells Sonoi he is forgetting his friends, Sonoi is distraught, but agrees to help on his Oden invitation. Sonoshi, desperate, runs into Sononi and Sonoza, only to be cut down by Sonoya with Murasame. At the Oden cart, Jiro is out of the loop as it's clear Taro's knowledge of the others is fading fast, with Sonoi's help he gives some nice words, but then manages to forget Sonoi mid meal. When Sononi calls he goes to help them, refusing to let the executioners disturb Taro's last moments with his friends, as Taro leaves, his allies sadly seeing him go. As the Donbrothers join the battle, and Murasame decides he would rather fight with the Noto and Donbrothers, Momoi Taro finds himself at Café Donbura, where Kaito presents him with the manuscript for Avataro Sentai Donbrothers. Just as things seem hopeless, Don Momotaro, his heart stirred by the manga, arrives, and for the first time all 10 Donbrothers Role Call together, before Taro overcharges the Zanglass Sword and cuts down Sonona and Sonoya in a single stroke, with no sign left of him. Inuzaka and Sononi are now pursued together by the police, Natsumii asks Kijino if he wants to continue the dream together, Saruhara composes a haiku for Taro, perhaps abandoning some of his wabisabi, and months later, at the awards, Haruka has her friends join her on stage. One night, as Haruka and Sonoza are continuing work, a courier arrives with a package, and notes that they've made a bond .
