thinking about the complexity of levi today. how he’s the first person to suggest just burning the city down, how easy it would catch fire. how he doesn’t feel bad for the moonscorched citizens because, in his opinion, they kind of deserved it. how he still wants a home. how he wants to take up piano again. how he doesn’t register when abella asks him if he’s okay and doesn’t take a noncommittal “yeah” as an answer. how he’s only 18 and has been at war for five years. how he always offers to watch the door, guard the exit — just in case. how he doesn’t want to just be a scope behind a rifle anymore. how he’s been prepared to die his whole life, but doesn’t want to. he’s only 18.

Hey!!!
I want to share more suffering with you, homie haha *crying*
What do you think of the episode? Especially 132 part ofc!
Tumblr media
Hi friend! :'))))))))) Ooooooh honey that gif is such a mood XD I’ve been trying to collect my thoughts and this is the best I can do atm. Sorry it’s kind of wordy but here we go 🥲
Ok! So ever-present pacing issues aside, the overarching story made for a solid episode and the animation was incredible. Hell, even the things I disliked objectively looked well-done out of context. Overall, that was no small feat to pull off, especially in such harsh working conditions. I truly do want to acknowledge that.
But in regards to 132, you guys already put into words how I feel better than I could. I may not have anything new to add, but I’ll say what I liked first and then put my issues under a cut.
As someone who actually really likes Yams’ art style, I loved that they consistently kept Hange’s face accurate to the manga. It was really inconsistent throughout the final season and they struggled to not make it too short a lot of times. Hange was always still stunning of course but the difference always stuck out to me. Here everyone was drawn well, but you can tell she got some extra attention.
The way they inched Levi closer to where Hange was sitting while talking with Yelena. Insignificant yeah but consistent with their past behavior. Also I’m glad they tweaked the position of his bandages so it looked less like they were painfully tugging upwards on his nose.
The pained expressions of the kids and Hange watching Levi struggle to even hold his gear
The “unrequited love” exchange. It had most of the softness and emotion from the manga even though the weight of that line will never be realized in non-written form. The camera lingered on each frame in a way that conveyed the sentiment. This is what got my hopes up that they would stay truer to the source material with DYH.
I'm so glad they left in Hange's lines to Flochroach about not giving up. Helps show—once again—that they wanted to live
The choked way Levi said “Devote your heart” + Hange’s widened eye and soft gasp at his words. Though not tearing up like in the manga, the shot still looked lovely for the half second it lasted. He doesn't pause halfway through saying it though so this one I'm still wrestling with.
Of course, the last stand. Onscreen, Hange took out at least 16 colossals (including the ones we see trip and get trampled) and definitely more offscreen (when they cut away to show other characters) and for the last few, did it while in the most pain a human body can feel. 7/10 for combat, my ass. Idk about y’all but I can’t stop hearing Romi Park’s screams in my head. I knew it would be nauseating and brutal but dear God. At the same time I cannot put into words how proud I am of them. That's my commander 💜
Ok “like” is definitely not the right word for this but I had wondered when I first read 132 how Hange’s gas tank was so well-insulated that it didn’t ignite, and.. well I got my answer.
I’m thankful that they didn’t show a glimpse of Hange’s bloody, crushed remains the way you see in the og panel. That at least felt respectful to me. This is wishful thinking I know but the defined charred outline makes me choose hope they fell more off to the side from where the titans were walking so at least there was maybe still a body left to recover someday.
The afterlife scene, the kids all sobbing their hearts out, Levi holding his own hand in the aftermath trying to process what just happened, and Onyankopon confirming the plane’s significance all really were appropriately gut-wrenching.
I really recommend taking a little break between The Rumbling and Sinners. It definitely makes the shift in emotion less jarring and less
Tumblr media
When I did that with my rewatch it helped with the flow of things.
Ok, now twist me up and call me a pretzel bc here there be some salt :|
I’ll try to leave out my og issues with the manga chapter itself (like how painfully obvious it was all just to make Armin commander and how unnecessary Hange dying was IN THE FIRST PLACE and IF it had to happen at all how it could have been done at the final boss skelepalooza showdown, etc.) and just focus on the episode.
Goes without saying but it bears repeating: pacing. 75% of my issues with the execution of DYH would be gone if they just slowed down a bit. Just let the weight of it sink in a little. That this moment —all shreds of shipping aside— is the end of the line for these two heroes who have been supporting each other for ten years while bearing the weight of the world on their shoulders. But Mappa completely reversed the timing of the sequence of events. In the manga we had a longer, more intimate farewell followed by a last stand that was so short even when you knew it was coming it left you reeling from how fast it was from start to finish. Whereas here they hurried it along to get to the “main event”. Hell, it flows better in gif sets than it does in the actual show.
To me, it felt like Hange’s demeanor didn’t really change from talking with the kids to speaking with Levi, making their false bravado seem like less of a front. I know their tone was meant to sound like they were keeping up appearances, but with how often Hange just gets reduced solely to being a titan freak the way they had Romi say the lines made it sound like actual excitement, especially with the way they drew Hange's facial expressions (more on that next)
Hange’s little smirk after the salute. I kinda get what they were trying to do here but to me it came off as very flippant and dismissive of Levi’s choice of words, especially since they all but got rid of their lips trembling and eye beginning to well up with tears. I wish we’d gotten the big fake smile and laugh because that would have shown better that Hange was overcompensating by trying to put their brave face back on after starting to lose their composure. Their fear is obvious in the manga but it just simply didn’t come through as well throughout this entire exchange.
Sooo Hange almost tears up when Pieck said their words inspired her yet minutes later when their Best Friend tries to say goodbye there’s nowhere near that kind of reaction? Sure, Jan
Levi’s face. Ok look. It’s not a lack of emotion on his part that bothers me. It’s that it’s an entirely different one to begin with. He looks bummed at first yes, but then that changes to what I’m guessing is supposed to be determination which comes off as anger or annoyance (kinda like what changed with his scene with Armin on the stairs). They removed what made this parting different from previous ones, which was the sense of open vulnerability and the dawning realization that now he’s going to have to let Hans go too. See it's not like they were in the middle of the battle just yet. This situation came on suddenly and unexpectedly; it wasn't "supposed" to happen. One second they were on track and the next Hange is being torn away by fate. And yes, the highlights play a part in that transition. Anyone who draws eyes knows the importance of placement and intensity and the major impact they have over the final expression. And when drawing a comic you certainly don’t take up valuable page space with three panels focusing on the hope draining out of someone’s eyes if it wasn’t supposed to be the focus. I mean for fuck's sake, even the Final Season!Nendoroid Levi got it right. Plus, if they could make a point of getting Eren's eyes right during the raid on Liberio they could have gotten it here.
When the camera cuts to the kids watching the titans fall the angle doesn’t let you see that Levi can’t bring himself to watch for more than just a second
NOT MAPPA’s FAULT but since I’m being whiny right now I’m going to add that while ACWNR is a mixed bag to begin with, WIT’s adaptation not including Levihan’s introduction saddens me bc Levi asking Hange to keep watching loses a bit of extra oomph.
Really it just comes down to the fact that there was nothing wrong with the original page. It wasn’t overdone or dragged out by any means but considering many other scenes got shot-for-shot depictions I don’t think we were asking for anything outrageous by wanting a faithful adaptation. The couple frames we got that were almost perfect were so freakin fast you barely had time to process them before it cut away.
I wanted to like it, I really did. Especially since MAPPA did so many things so incredibly well as a whole. My expectations weren’t high, and I did want to give it the benefit of the doubt. But when it came to DYH, it felt both watered down and disjointed, like a completely different scene.
But so it goes. At the end of the day, Hange still dies a horrifying, demeaning death for plot convenience, and Levi is left behind to suffer once again. It was always going to hurt and I was never going to be ready for it, no matter how it was done.

The cadets are turned into kids and think you and Levi are their parents
In the same universe where they called you “mom”, (they are around 3 and 4 years old)
Also— this is adorable (this is from an eruri doujinshi by hitomi which is called curtain call)
Tumblr media
 ------
Eren had an experiment that went wrong. He transformed into his titan form and then suddenly he shrank into a tiny titan. Then he escaped Hange and ran away.
“Someone finds Y/N right now! Eren only listens to her!” Hange yelled at their squad.
When you heard about what happened, Levi looked for Eren with you. When you found him in your office, he was not alone. He was not a titan anymore too. All the cadets were like Eren– tiny little babies.
“MOMMY!” Eren screamed pointing at you.
“Oh no.” you mumbled seeing them all run to you.
They were all hugging your leg, trying to get you attention. Jean started to cry after Eren pushed to the ground. You wanted to pick him up but there were too many kids around you.
“I got this.” Levi assured you and picked Jean up.
Jean stopped crying and stared at the captain frightened. Jean looked at you and reached out his arms towards you. You took Jean in your arms but everyone else started to scream “me too!”.
“Levi,” you said to him, “maybe we should do groups and you take half and I take the other half?”
“No. You can’t leave me alone with them.”
“I can’t work like this.”
“I’m sure Erwin would understand. I’ll tell him.” Levi offered walking away.
“Levi! No! Come back!”
“I told you mommy doesn’t want to stay with us.” Connie cried to Sasha.
“What? Of course, I want to be with you!” you reassured them. “I just don’t know what to do.” you mumbled to yourself.
“I’m hungry.” Jean said, still in your arms.
“Of course, you are.” Eren said, “that’s why you’re so f–“.
“Eren I swear to Erwin’s eyebrows if you finish that sentence, I’m going to throw you in the dungeons!” you snapped angrily.
Jean on the other side started to cry again knowing what Eren wanted to say. Eren started to cry silently too, looking at the ground.
“Sorry mommy.” Eren sobbed, “don’t be mad please.”
“You should apologise to Jean.” you said calmer.
You put Jean down and Eren hugged him and apologised shyly.
“That’s better! Now take each other’s hands and we’ll go found something to eat okay?”
They all nodded, you took Armin’s hand on one hand and Sasha’s on the other one. Eren surprisingly took Jean hand and you all went to the mess hall. Levi was already there with Erwin, with food for the kids.
“We thought that would help.” Erwin explained while the kids run towards the food. “There’s a tray for each one of you, so no need to fight.”
Erwin and Levi walked towards you and sighed.
“What do we do?” Erwin asked.
“I can’t work with them around. I also cannot take care of them alone. There’s eight of them!”
“Armin, Mikasa and Bertolt shouldn’t be a problem – they’re good,” Levi stated, “Jean and Eren would do everything you say. Sasha, Connie and Reiner… tire them until they're too exhausted to move.”
“I still can’t do that alone! You have to help me.”
“I have paperwork to do, and Erwin has commander things to do.”
“I wish I could help,” Erwin intervened, “but I can’t, I still have work to do and…”
“Erwin, it’s fine.” you said gently, “but Levi you cannot leave me alone.”
Erwin left after Levi finally agreed to help. You both sat down at the table.
“Oh no.” Levi sighed once he saw the mess they did while eating. “Stop eating with your hand and use the spoon.”
“Sorry daddy.” Jean apologised but kept eating with his hands.
“What did you call me?” Levi asked.
“Oh, it’s not like he never said it before.” you said.
Levi took Jean on his lap and started to feed him. Reiner, Bertolt and Armin were eating calmy, Sasha ate too fast while Connie was trying to protect his food from Sasha. Mikasa was feeding Eren because he gave his food to you.
“Eren I’m fine, you should eat.” you told him multiple times.
After lunch, they were all too excited and energetic unlike you and Levi.
“I’m too old for sh!t.” Levi told you.
“You kill titan for a living! This should easy.”
“Is it though?”
“Let’s just play with them a little until they get tired so they can sleep.”
The whole afternoon was spent playing hide and seek and tag. Which was not the wisest idea since Armin and Reiner ended hurt. Only a few scratches on their knees and elbows but that made you worried sick. After dinner in Levi office with the kids, they were starting to get tired.
“Mommy,” Mikasa called you by pulling your sleeve, “I want to sleep.”
“Me too!” Reiner said by sitting on your lap.
“A story!” Connie screamed excited which made all of them chant this.
“Alright! Alright! Do we have that kind of book in the library?” you asked Levi.
“No.”
“Well, I can invent a story – that’s not an issue.”
Levi and you sat on the bed and they all crawled on you and between. You started your story and very soon after, they all fell asleep.
“How was your day?” Levi asked you.
“Tiring. What about you?”
“It was fine. And it made me think…,” Levi paused, “never mind.”
“No, tell me.”
“Maybe we could have our own.” Levi shrugged.
“Is it something you want?” you asked.
“Is it something you want? Because if you do not want any, it’s fine too.”
“I don’t know… maybe?”
“We don’t have to talk about it now.”
“You’re right, but I want to talk about this. Someday.” you smiled.
After this little conversation, you both fell asleep. In the middle of the night, Levi woke up because someone was awake – Armin.
“Bathroom.” Armin said once Levi was awake.
Levi stood up and took Armin in his arms and went to the bathroom. After Armin finished, Levi helped him wash his hands and went back to bed. But before Levi could lay on his bed, Reiner woke up with tears in his eyes.
“No, don’t cry.” Levi warned him and took him out of the bed. “What’s wrong?”
“Nightmare.” Reiner confessed sobbing.
“It’s not real – it’s a dream. Go back to bed.” Levi said before going back to his bedroom, but Reiner stayed behind sobbing. Levi sighed before picking him up. “Stop crying, you don’t want to wake mommy, right?”
“No.”
“Fine then let’s go back to bed, alright?”
That was only the beginning of Levi’s night. After Reiner went back to sleep, it was Sasha’s turn to go to the bathroom.
“I knew it,” Levi said to himself, “I mean after all she ate, that was only a matter of time before she goes number two.”
Then it was Bertolt who had to pee. After him it was Connie who was a little thirsty. Mikasa had to go to the bathroom too. Only Eren did not wake up. When Levi finally went back to bed, Eren woke up.
“Don’t tell me you need to poop too.” Levi warned him tired.
“I want to sleep with mommy please.” Eren asked.
“No place, maybe another time, now sleep.”
—————
-          That one time you had to leave for an expedition
The next expedition was a short and simple one. Yet every squad leader had to be there, including you. You were obviously reluctant about it because of the kids.
“Who will take care of them?” you asked Levi.
“There are nurses. Don’t worry about it.”
The first few days, the kids were all sleeping with Levi and you but then, Levi told them to go and sleep in their bedroom because with them around, you could not do anything else than sleep. You promised to them that you would visit every night before they go to sleep and that night, you told them that you would not be here for a week or so.
“No!” Jean screamed hugging you, “don’t leave me please.” he begged on the verge of crying.
“Mama!” Armin, the youngest cried, rubbing his eyes. “don’t go.”
“I will be back very soon; you won’t even notice my absence.” you told them.
That night you proposed to have them back in bed with Levi and you so they would stop crying. The next morning, once it was time to leave, none of them wanted to let go of your legs.
“It’s fine, I’ll be back very soon.” you tried to calm them down. That did not work. “Fine I won’t go, let’s all go back to bed okay?” you said to them which made them stop crying and run to your bedroom.
Once they all left, you went back on your horse and left with the rest of the survey corps outside the walls. When the kids realised that you were not coming started to cry again and did not stop until they fell asleep. The nurses that took care of them were starting to get worried but after a few days, they started to play and eat again without any protest.
Once you were back, all the kids were waiting for you at the entrance of the wall. They were screaming “mommy!” when they saw you. Jean screamed “daddy!” when he saw Levi which made people around gasp. They did not know that these kids were in reality survey corps members. Sasha and Connie went on Hange’s horse while Armin and Bertolt were on Erwin’s. Jean and Reiner were with Levi while Mikasa and Eren were with you.
“We missed you a lot mommy!” Eren said happy to see you.
“I missed you too.”
For a week or two, the kids would not let go of you because of that expedition.
 —————
-          That one time you got mad at them.
The only time you got mad at them was when they all started to fight each other. Levi and you were doing paperwork outside because it was a sunny day and the kids wanted to play outside. You were peacefully reading your reports when they started to shout at each other. You were not worried about it because they were always shouting, but when you saw that they started to cry and push each other you quickly went over where they were.
“What’s happening here!” you screamed.
They all stopped except for Eren and Jean who were still fighting.
“Hey! Stop!” you yelled but none of them listen to you.
Before you could get mad, Levi took Eren in his arms which stopped the fight.
“What is wrong with you?” Levi reprimanded them. “What were you two thinking? You could’ve got hurt and you could’ve hurt your friends and worse of all, you weren’t listening to Y/N!”
Jean and Eren turned to you but you were already gone.
“Where’s mommy?” Jean asked shyly.
After Jean and Eren both apologised to each other, they went looking for you.
“Is mommy mad?” Eren asked.
“Yes.” Levi answered.
“She doesn’t love us anymore?” Jean asked with tears in his eyes.
“Of course, she does, now let’s find her and apologise.”
They could not find you anywhere. Even Levi did not know where to look. He asked Erwin and Hange but none of them saw you. Jean would not stop crying because you were not there.
“Mommy doesn’t love me anymore!” Jean kept saying.
At night when they all went into their bedroom, they found you on their bed.
“Mommy!” they all screamed happy but stopped on their way when they saw that you were not smiling.
“What happened today was unacceptable. I am disappointed.” you said. “I hope that won’t ever happen ever again.”
“Sorry.” they all apologised.
“Where were you?” Eren asked.
“Out, I needed some time alone.”
“Are you mad at me?” Eren cried.
“No… Not anymore, and I am not mad at you too Jean. But next time you do this, there will be consequences. Now go to sleep, all of you.” You stood up, ready to leave.
“No stories?” Reiner asked.
“Please.” they all asked with a pout that you just could not resist.
 —————
-          That on time Levi had to calm Eren down during a meeting.
That day, you had to leave to visit a family member who was going to give birth. You left without saying anything to the kids otherwise they would not have let you. Levi’s squad was responsible for the kids when none of you were available.
They were all running around when Eren fell from the top of the stairs.
“EREN!” Petra shouted petrified.
Eren started to cry, and he would not stop. The squad tried everything, but nothing would stop Eren’s tears.
“We have to bring him to the captain.” Eld said.
Eld took Eren and went to the meeting room. He knocked on the door and opened it just enough so Eren could go in.
“I want mommy!” Eren continued to cry.
Levi picked him up and put him on his lap.
“She’s busy today, what happened?” Levi asked him softly.
“I fell.” Eren sobbed.
“It’s fine, you can stop crying and tell mommy later that you acted all strong because you’re almost an adult now.”
“I’m a big boy now.” Eren admitted hugging Levi.
All the squad leaders were speechless in front of this because they never saw the captain acting like this before. He was so delicate and sweet towards Eren. Then the door opened again, and all the other kids barged in.
“I’m sorry captain, but they all wanted to check on Eren.” Petra apologised.
“It’s fine.” Levi said before putting Eren down.
The rest of the meeting was spent with the kids playing under the table, around Levi. Once you came back, you found Levi asleep on his bed with the kids around him. You tried to be as silent as possible, but Levi woke up.
“Hey, how was your day?” you asked him not without a kiss.
“Fine, and you?”
“Boring – you weren’t there.”
“Mommy!” Eren called you reaching out his arms.
“What happened to your knees?” you asked him when you picked him up.
“I fell but I didn’t cry.”
“Riight, because you’re so brave.” but Eren had already fell asleep again.

There Was Only One Bed part 2
AOT boys x Reader (I added more people because wow the first part was so fun to write)
Plot: You and him came back from a mission that left you both insanely tired. It’s too late to go home so you two decide to check into a hotel. There’s only one room left, with only one bed 😳
Levi
Tumblr media
lets be real
Levi needs some damn sleep
and he was looking forward to resting after such as long day
but when he heard there was only one bed he kind of just
sighed
of course something has to happen when he just wants to relax
after seeing the cards he was dealt with he felt the most gentlemanly thing to do was offer you the bed
“Here, go to sleep in the bed. I’ll take the floor.”
“But Levi, you’re exhausted!” you pleaded
“I barely even sleep at night the floor is fine.”
not gonna lie it is hard to argue with someone like Levi
but you would not let him sleep on the floor
“You can take half of the bed, I don’t mind,” you told him hoping he’d take the offer
it was late and he knew he’d probably not sleep much at all like usual
he accepted your offer
but only settled at the very edge of the bed
it didn’t look comfortable lol but is Levi ever comfortable
you just shrugged it off before telling him goodnight
that is until you had a nightmare
you dreamt that you were the sole survivor when you and the scouts went to attack Marley
sometimes fellow humans are scarier than titans
you awoke to Levi shaking you concerned
“Hey, you were having a nightmare, are you okay?” he asked genuinely worried
that nightmare was too realistic as you felt tears roll down your cheek
Levi tenderly wiped your tears and felt his heart break at how warm they were and how many there were
“You’re safe here, I’ll make sure of it,” he said as he gingerly caressed your cheek
you slept peacefully later that night safe with Levi by your side
Bertolt
Tumblr media
when Bert saw that there was one bed he immediately felt flustered despite how tired he was
he kinda became a stammering mess
“Y/N, it’s okay you can have it!”
“I can have what?” you questioned since he just blurted that sentence out
“The... bed” he muttered as he looked at the ground
he didn’t have to make the situation this much more awkward yet here we are
Bertolt being himself lol
but after hearing that he wanted you to have the bed you immediately offered it to him
“No you should have the bed! You’ve done so much today you need to rest,” you said
“No you should have the bed! I sleep really weird so I don’t want to bother you,” he admitted
how weird could he sleep?
maybe he snored? that’s not that weird
you insisted you two could share the bed and place a pillow in between you two
which he reluctantly agreed
it was late after all
you said your goodnights and you drifted off to sleep
until
A LEG LANDS ON YOUR FACE
“AHH!” you jolt awake shoving the leg off your face
and lo and behold
Bertolt is sleeping sideways with his limbs spread all over
“Hey! wake up!!”
“Huh, OH IM SORRY!” Bertolt immediately retracted
“See I told you I sleep weirdly,” he muttered
yeah even the pillow didn’t save you from his legs
“Bertolt it’s totally fine you can’t control it”
this time you both drifted off to sleep
until you felt an arm around you
you opened an eye and yup Bertolt was sleeping weirdly again
but at least his arms are finally around you
Porco
Tumblr media
Porco does come off as an angry guy
he just gets annoyed easily by incompetence
so when he saw there was only one bed he felt pretty annoyed by the situation
how could they fuck up this badly?
you could sense Porco’s annoyance and exhaustion
so you decided to offer him the bed
“It’s okay, I’ll be fine on the floor,” you said
“No, I’m not going to let you sleep on the ground because of the hotel’s dumb mistake.”
“I insist! I’ll be-”
“Just take the other half of the bed.”
he did sound pissed but you could tell he cared that you got a good rest after the long day you two had
you climbed into your half of the bed
“Hey, sorry for snapping. I just couldn’t let you sleep on the ground like that,” he said sheepishly as he climbed into his half
you assured him that everything was fine
“I just can’t believe they managed to get it this wrong! Some hotel they are, I ought to write them a bad review. This is not how I wanted to get in bed with you,” he rambled on
that last part though
W H A T
“Um, Porco?” you asked feeling flustered
“Hmm, what, OH! Um, you didn’t hear that right?”
you could tell he was flustered as well judging by his flushed cheeks and wide eyes
he didn’t mean to let that out
but thanks to his exhaustion he was being a bit too honest tonight
“You know I hoped we’d be in bed together someday too,” you admitted
he relaxed a little at this but there was an awkward pause
“Wait, you... like me?” he asked
“I have for a while,” you said not making eye contact yet here you were in his bed
“I didn’t think we’d be in bed together when you finally confessed,” he laughed which helped relax you
you spent that night cuddling and giggling as you two learned about how much you two liked each other
and laughing at how the “awful hotel” ended up helping you two finally confess
Colt
Tumblr media
ok out of these guys I think Colt is the most gentlemanly
when he saw that there was one bed he immediately claimed the ground as his sleeping spot
“Colt! That won’t be comfortable at all!”
“It’s okay Y/N, you deserve the bed!”
“Colt, I can see you shivering. Just get into the bed,” you insisted
he was too tired to argue with you so he did as he was told
“Ok but feel free to kick me out any time I won’t be offended I promise!”
you rolled your eyes
yeah it wasn’t ideal but you both deserved a bed to sleep on after such a long day of taking Marleyan officers’ orders
it was insane how fast Colt fell asleep
seconds after he gave you permission to kick him out he was out cold
you chuckled and turned off the lights to go to bed
you were sleeping peacefully
until
you heard a voice?? at this hour??
your eyes shot open and realized the voice belonged to Colt
who was sleep talking
it sounded like he was telling someone something
“Y/N... and I slept together....No not like that...”
you couldn’t help but to feel a little flustered and amused
this was entertaining so you kept watching
“Can me and Y/N....be..a reality?”
“Yes,” you muttered in agreement
at this point it looked like Colt had fallen in his dream and shot up awake
“Oh! Hey Y/N, sorry if I woke you up, I just-”
“So you were telling people we slept together?” you teased
Colt paused for a second
“How do you know about that...?”
“Has anyone told you that you sleep talk?”
Colt was a blushing mess now and kept asking how much of it you heard
you shut him up by asking if you and him could be a reality
that instantly answered all his questions
he played it cool though
“Yes, let’s become a reality, you’ll make my dreams come true,” he said
and that’s how you became his dream girl
Zeke
Tumblr media
we all know how Zeke feels about mistakes
or as he puts, “miscalculations”
either way he is annoyed that a singular bed has become yet another one of his problems
he’s too tired to deal with this shit
but he also didn’t want to sleep on the ground but he didn’t want you to either
“Want the other half of the bed?” he just asked as he walked towards one side
“Yeah, I guess so. Thanks,” you said as you took the other side
you felt a little more awkward about it than Zeke did but you didn’t want to reject his offer
Just as you were about to go to sleep Zeke spoke up
“Do you think if people just disappeared problems would go away too?”
this was a pretty heavy question
definitely a late night thought
“Not necessarily,” you replied
“Elaborate.”
“Well, I think that people, no matter who they are, will have lasting impacts on the world,” you replied
you both continued having this philosophical discussion
you were impressed with his beliefs on the topic
Zeke was always a mysterious person and it was rare he opened up this way
he alluded that he didn’t have the greatest childhood which you sympathized with
maybe this is why he believed the way he did
you assured him that he was wanted
“Thank you, it helps hearing someone say that. Even though I have one year left, I agree that my time on this Earth would have an impact. There’s no greater beast than me,”
you could imagine how his mind was knowing he had a year left
maybe this is why he thought like this
you lost track of time when you felt his arm envelop you
his warmth lulled you to sleep
thought provoking conversations are tiring but at least you’ve got him next to you

The Gift She Wants
Masterlist
Warnings: None this is just pure fluff.
Relationships: Nalu
Summary: Natsu attempts to write Lucy a love letter for her birthday.
-------------
Lucy’s never really enjoyed her birthday. It used to be fun when her mom was still around. But after her death, her birthday had always been ignored by her father. But that all changed once she joined Fairy Tail. Every morning on July 1st she’d walk into the guild to find a huge party set up for her. It was a sweet gesture even though the guild hall usually wound up trashed by the end of the day because of all the drinking and fighting that ensued.
But that wasn’t the only thing that was the same every year. The presents that Lucy got from her friends were all the same. Gray would make her a little ice sculpture of a star that would melt after a day but she never had the heart to tell him. Gajeel did something similar with jewelry but it was made out of iron and really big and bulky so they were all too heavy to wear for long. Similarly, Erza would give her a sword or some other weapon that was too heavy for Lucy to lift. Juvia would offer her baked goods she made herself but for awhile Lucy was always cautious to eat them, knowing how jealous Juvia was about her friendship with Gray. Thankfully that wasn’t a problem anymore, and now her gift was one she was looking forward to along with the book from Levy and perfume from Mira that she got every year. There was only one gift she truly dreaded and that was from Natsu.
Every year she hoped that he would give her something different, only to be proven wrong when he whisks her away on some dangerous job that leaves her exhausted, dirty, and bruised. The only good part about it was that she got to spend time with him, and have a little fun when she wasn’t fearing for her life. And as the years went on, she hoped that perhaps him taking her on these jobs alone meant that he would talk to her about things. Things that she knew he probably never thought about but that deep down, she dares to hope that he does.
So she thought she knew what to expect during her birthday party this year when he approached her, holding something behind his back. She took a deep breath, ready to see what job flyer he’d present her with only to find a book with a pink bow wrapped around it instead.
“What’s this?” Lucy asks, surprised and cautiously optimistic. “Is it part of a job or-”
“No it’s not a job. It’s just a journal.” Natsu says. “I couldn’t figure out what to get you for your birthday this year so I asked Gildarts for advice and he told me I should get you something that you’ve been wanting to get or something you’d like so I thought I’d get you both!”
Lucy was confused and touched at the same time. She was also relieved that for once she wouldn’t have to worry about getting hurt on her birthday! And it was a really sweet and thoughtful gift! She likes to write so he got her a journal...He really thought about it to get her something she’d enjoy! Is he starting to change?
“Thank you so much Natsu!” Lucy exclaims, beaming with happiness as she holds the gift to her heart. “I love it!”
She had no idea just how much she’d love it later.
--------------
After the party, she brought all the gifts she was able to carry back to her apartment with her and immediately unwrapped the bow on the journal to open it.
To her surprise, there was already writing in it. Natsu’s writing.
Her heart sunk. The last time he had written her something was a note telling her he was leaving for a year with Happy. And then the guild disbanded and she was all alone. He wasn’t leaving her again was he?
With her heart pounding, she scanned the page, reading the words and bracing herself for heartbreak. But instead she found the opposite.
Dear Lucy,
I hate writing and I’ve never written something like this before so I don’t know how good it’s gonna be but this is something I know you want to hear so I’m gonna try my best for you like I always do. I’m not good with words. Most of the things I say to you make you upset with me so I try to show how I feel about you with my actions instead of my words. And while I think that’s given you enough of an idea to know that I care about you, I don’t think you get how much I really do. So I guess I’ve got to be more clear and I figured since you love writing this is the best way to do it.
You’re amazing. You’re so powerful, beautiful, and kind and you shine brighter than any star or dragon’s fire. I have no idea why you still hang around an idiot like me who doesn’t know how to treat you right but I hope the reason is because you feel the same way about me that I do about you. I’ve never had feelings like this before, so I’m sorry if I’ve frustrated you but I just don’t know anything about love aside from how I feel about you. Gramps and Gildarts used to lecture me on how great relationships are and how they hoped I’d fall in love and get married and have kids someday but I never wanted that because there wasn’t anyone I wanted to do that stuff with until you came into my life.
It took me awhile to figure it out but now everything they told me about makes sense. I want to be with you Lucy, as more than just a friend. I know I don’t deserve you but I’m working hard to make you happy because that’s what you deserve. And I can tell that not knowing that has made you unhappy. So I’ve got to just be straight to the point and say it. I love you Lucy Heartfilia. I think that’s what you want to hear, so that’s what I’m giving you for your birthday.
~Natsu
Lucy’s tears of joy were dripping onto the page so she quickly closes the book to keep her tears from washing away those sweet words.
This was better than she could have ever imagined. And all she wanted was to run to Natsu and start this new chapter in their relationship together. Thankfully, knowing him, she didn’t have to go far.
With tears dripping down her cheeks, she pulls back the curtain to her bedroom to find the man she loves and his blue cat in her room. She’d never been so happy to have them break into her apartment.
“Lucy did you like the-Aw damnit, you’re crying!” Natsu exclaims, looking hurt and disappointed with himself. “I messed up again!”
“What did you expect, you took relationship advice from Gildarts!” Happy chastises. “That guy can’t hold onto a woman, what does he know-”
“No you didn’t!” Lucy reassures him. “Natsu it was perfect! I love it! I love you too!” She exclaims.
Before Natsu has a chance to process what she said, Lucy dashes across the room, tossing the journal onto her bed before throwing her arms around his neck as he catches her in his before she kisses him.
Happy’s jaw drops and Natsu’s eyes go wide for a moment, surprised by her affection before he returns the kiss, closes his eyes and moves his hands along her back to hold her closer to him as he relishes in this new feeling.
She brings her hands up to his face to run her thumbs along his cheekbones while his hands settle on her hips as they gently pull apart.
A blush forms on Lucy’s face as she realizes what exactly she’s done and is immediately embarrassed by how forward she was being.
“Oh my gosh I’m so sorry that probably came out of nowhere and I should have asked first-” Lucy rambles before Natsu’s chuckle pulls her gaze back to his face and when he sees the warm look in his eyes and the smirk on his lips, she instantly relaxes.
“It’s fine Lucy. I was hoping you’d kiss me. I just hope it was a good kiss, considering I’ve never done that before...” Natsu admits shyly.
“It’s okay. I’ve never kissed anyone before either.” Lucy tells him. “This is new for me too. We’ll figure it out together, just like we do for everything else.”
She rests her head on his chest and Natsu holds her close and rests his cheek on top of her head.
“Well you know a lot more about this stuff than I do. So you’ll have a lot to teach me.” Natsu admits and Lucy laughs.
“Well you gave me a very thoughtful gift, so clearly you’ve already got some idea of what to do.” Lucy says.
“You just mean so much to me.” Natsu says. “I’ve never felt this way before for anyone else and I doubt I ever will. You deserve someone who can make you happy and give you everything you want.”
“Well if everything you wrote in that letter is true, then I have no doubt that person is you.” Lucy says. “I just want one more thing.”
“What is it?” Natsu asks, pulling back to look at her. “Whatever it is I’ll give it to you.”
“Just tell me you love me. I know you wrote it but I want to hear you say it.” Lucy requests.
Natsu smiles, more than happy to fulfill that wish.
“I love you Lucy.” Natsu says and fresh tears spring from Lucy’s eyes as a result.
“I love you too Natsu.” She says before kissing him again.
The sounds of Happy sniffling pull them out of the moment.
“What’s wrong little buddy? Are you crying because you’re happy for us?” Natsu asks.
“I’m so happy for both of you!” Happy sniffles. “But I can’t believe that someone as dense as you managed to get a girlfriend before me!” He wails and the new couple laughs.
Yep. Definitely the best birthday ever. And now Lucy couldn’t wait to see what Natsu would do for her next year.

Seven stages of Love Chapter 2: Philia
Summary: Ever since the Celestial War, since they all fell, Asmodeus has  dedicated himself to his sin. Not caring about anything else, but  drowning himself in the pleasure and ecstasy of it all. But not anymore,  now he cant even handle the idea of it. But, what else is there to  want? After so long of having indulged in his sin, what is there than  Asmodeus is looking for, something that will fill him, and that wont  drive him to destruction? Perhaps his brothers can help him with that. Warnings will appear in each chapter.
Trigger Warning: Momentary anger, sadness. Let me know if I overlooked anything.
Word Count: 2683
Read on Ao3
Pondering, wondering, with a strain in the heart that no other but himself could lift. Yet, he didn’t have the means to lift it. The feeling overwhelmed him to the point where he hadn’t left the house at all during an entire week. To him it was simply unthinkable to have to submit himself to the stares and the actions of the people that noticed him. To think that all this time he thought he needed nothing more. Nothing more but those meaningless kisses that brought satisfaction.
Now the simple thought of a stranger’s hand to even as much as caress his cheek without any feeling made him feel sick to his stomach. He wanted to be cared for. But…it had to be a very specific kind of care. One so specific he didn’t know what it was but knew he wouldn’t find it any time soon. But…what even was it that he wanted? He knew what it was called, Belphegor had enlightened that much…but he didn’t know what it was. Was there a certain definition? Was there even something that would define the exact way he was feeling, with the exact solution he needed? Perhaps, something that could define all the aspects of that craving? He didn’t know, he didn’t even know what he was looking for. So, who better to ask than Satan?
He had hundreds upon hundreds of books. Surely, he must have something that defined that intense feeling. One that gave Asmodeus some sort of clarity. That defined it beyond a feeling. Beyond a lifestyle that many searched for in their lives but can never seem to reach entirely or are satisfied with. Surely, he must have something, right? Asmodeus thought for a moment as he walked outside of his room for the very first time in a while. One of his brothers had been checking up on him from time to time. But thanks to Belphegor they didn’t stay nor bother him much. He needed time to think. And he was thankful to them for caring in any way…but right now he needed some type of answer. Or something to point him in the right direction…just anything would be helpful.
He was on his way to Satan’s room. He was determined to knock, get some books, and start some kind of research…but sometimes things don’t go the way one wishes they did. Sometimes…something makes the path that one was entrusted on, divert for just a mere second…and that’s when everything in the future changes. For just that simple misstep, for just that look in another direction and the entire path that once laid in front of one is changed, unrecognizable. It might be easier; it might be far more difficult. Perhaps it was because his mind was far quieter than it had ever been, while simultaneously making so much noise it drove him insane during the nighttime, or maybe it was the way his expression had become blank and no longer was focused in maintaining that fake smile that had become permanent on his lips. Maybe it was all of them, none, a beat, a noise, a breeze…but his path changed. And with it, his quest in search of a definition, that would set his heart at peace.
Was he stalling? Was that why he was standing in front of Leviathans door, hearing the muffled sound of his older brother laugh? If he remembered correctly, there was a new game Leviathan was looking forward this week. He remembered the older demon having mentioned it a while back. He could hear the faint sound of music through the door, it was mostly muffled, and Leviathan cheers as he won made it harder to hear. He sighed once. Starring at the door before shaking his head. He should really just focus, he needed to go to Satan’s room. Besides it’s not like Leviathan would even give him the time of the day when he was consumed by one of his games or something like that.
So, he turned around, taking a deep breath for a moment as he took a step. But…as he already knew, things don’t go as they are planned at all. A plan that was set thousands of years ago when his aching body first arrived at the Devildom. A promise to enjoy himself to the last bit. A promise he had broken the moment those doubts came to mind. After all, if he had just fallowed his promise, he wouldn’t be here, in that very moment, with those particular thoughts that made his breath caught in his throat at Leviathan’s words. A certain shout caught his attention. Leviathan had won on his game, and this prompted him to shout, to celebrate, to leap in joy and exclaim to the world some words, a specific word. Words that Asmodeus could only dream of using that lightly someday.
“YES!!!  We did it! Good work, I knew we could!!" A giggle, and then a storm. "Henry, I **** you!!”
…he had to be joking, right? He couldn’t have heard that right. He must be in a state of dream or something. Leviathan…he…he wouldn’t just throw that word around like that, and to his damn fish of all things?!
“S-seriously?!” He spoke, before knocking the door, perhaps a little too sudden and harsh since he heard Leviathan gasp, a certain ache in his knuckles that he was barely aware of.
“Sorry Lucifer, I’ll try to make less noise!” He spoke, causing Asmodeus to roll his eyes.
“I’m not Lucifer.” He simply said, a pout on his lips as he crossed his arms and waited for Leviathan to open the door.
“A-Asmodeus?!” Leviathan’s voice came out shocked, he could hear struggle as Leviathan moved inside the room, something falling and him screeching before groaning, only to open the door and look at his younger brother, a small pout on his lips. “W-wha- I mean, w-when, I just…huh?” Levi was at a loss of words as he starred down at his brother, only for Asmodeus to roll his eyes a little and go inside the room. Not caring about Leviathan’s protest on how he had not said the secret password.
He entered the room. The blues and darkness within it, meant to reflect the ocean waves and the water element which his brother controlled along with all sea creatures…only reminded him of his room for a second. It was mostly the darkness. Since that night where Belphegor comforted him, Asmodeus refused to go out, his windows permanently sealed, and the lights turned off as he refused to acknowledge himself in the mirror by the pure fear he might despise what was staring back at him. By the fear that he might look and only find the lust he had started to loath so deeply.
His eyes flew to the screen that was on, the word “Victory” could be read, a controller left on the floor as Leviathan watched him with a slight embarrassed blush on the doorway. For some reason his eyes kept scanning the room. This was possibly the thousandth time he had entered to his brothers’ room and yet, this was the first time he felt like he was in the room, and not in his own head. It was a weird sensation. Entering a place so many times, but never actually seeing it. Recognizing it, or even as simply as placing his attention in anything that was not himself. It was Leviathan’s room, and if someone asked him to identify Levi’s room and showed him pictures, he could probably tell them it was this one. But if someone asked him, to number at least 3 things of his brothers’ room he would draw a blank and just point out that he only had one mirror in his bathroom, and that occasionally he could see his reflection on the big crystal wall from the fish tank. But besides that, he…he didn’t know anything else inside the room. This included himself, and his brother.
His eyes flew to Henry, as he walked over to the small fishbowl Leviathan put him in sometimes so he was beside him when playing. He kneeled in front of it as he starred at the fish. An eyebrow raised as he replayed the words he had just heard Leviathan exclaim on passing. Such a word…were…were they supposed to mean so much? Asmodeus had just started to think about them, he had yet even to find any meaning to, yet his brother was throwing it like that to his fish? He seriously couldn’t understand it, at all. He glanced over at Leviathan who was playing with his fingers while looking a little nervous at Asmodeus intrusion on what was his room, but there was something else. It seemed like he wanted to ask something, so, for that same reason Asmo decided to stay silent for a couple more seconds and see if his brother spoke. Thankfully, he did.
“…Asmodeus” He started, and by his tone the younger demon immediately regretted having let him talk. “…are you okay? I-I mean! Y-you are always partying and in clubs and talking with s-so many people…yet we didn’t see much of you t-this week…”
That…that was something hard to answer. Was there a reason for him not to be okay? Was there a reason for him to be okay? There were doubts in his mind, questions in his heart, needs that he had not been aware of until recently. But most of all…there was…there was a void that he didn’t understand. A void he had just become aware that existed within him. Asmodeus pressed his lips together, wondering for a moment. The silence filling Leviathan with anxiety as he looked down, taking deep breaths while awaiting for an answer.
“I…” he started; eyes focused on the small fish, “…heard you say something on my way here.” Was he avoiding the question? Or was this the answer in his own way? “I was surprised that the same words Belphie muttered to comfort me you would yell them at Henry.”
“Words? What are you talking about?” He wasn’t trying to act dumb; hell knew that was Mammon’s job, but he was certainly confused. Having his brother barge into his room like this, no explanation, and suddenly ask him things like this when he had been acting off the entire week…Leviathan was worried. They were all worried.
Asmodeus thought for a moment. Why was he even here? Between the two, it was entirely possible for him to know more about those words than someone who barely left the room to get food and left the house for 3 seconds every month. The idea that Leviathan, someone that was constantly so locked away from everything and anyone, would know more about that subject even though Asmodeus had put himself out in the world time and time again…it was almost insulting.
No.
No it wasn’t insulting. It just hurt to know that the loneliness he had believed to be new, turned out to be so old that he wondered if it had always been part of him. It just to think that everything he once thought he knew of himself, had started to crumble slowly.
“Levi…h-how can you say them to an animal?” His voice was soft and low, he was sure he had spoken, but the memories of the words leaving his lips was not present. For a moment, he caught his own reflection starring at him instead of his eyes focusing on the small goldfish. And in those eyes, he saw how powerful his sadness and desperation had become…his eyes damping in tears as he looked away, refusing to let anyone see that.
Leviathan eyes went wide at his younger brothers’ words. From all the things he expected him to say, that wasn’t it. Was that…what he said before Asmodeus entered the room, was that why his brother had barged in like that? He starred at him for what felt like ages, before clearing his throat a little and taking a step close to Asmodeus. Trying to wrap his head around what was happening. Normally he would ask what he meant and why he was asking something like that, but the way Asmo looked in that moment it was like he was begging for an answer and just that. An answer, something that gave him an idea of what it all meant and what he would make out of it. Leviathan sighed, closing the door behind him before sitting down on the floor, his back to Asmo as he knew he would not be able to answer the question if he was looking at him.
“H-Henry isn’t an animal, you know?” He started, taking the controller in his hands so that it gave him something to be distracted and consumed, something to help ignore the nerves he was feeling for some reason. “H-He is there for me even when no one else is, he celebrates with me when I win. And in some way listens to me whenever I'm rambling or even feeling down... I-I know I’m an anti-social otaku that no one cares about and that barely gets out of his room, but…Henry is here with me. Henry isn’t an animal or a pet.” He paused, thinking over his words, a small smile creeping to his lips as he chuckled a bit. This all probably sounded so dumb to someone like Asmodeus but to him it was his truth. “…Henry is my friend. W-which is why...which is why I **** him...”
Levi looked at his brother, a genuine smile as his hands gripped the controller a little lighter now. Expecting to hear him laugh and talk about how ridiculous he was, thinking such a thing. But nothing came from Asmodeus side for a long minute. Instead, there was only silent as he thought about it. Trough the fish tank reflection Asmo looked past himself, something he wouldn’t even consider to do before, but now, his eyes were focused on Levi's reflection, who was looking at him. But he couldn’t find the words to answer him at all. Levi cared for Henry…because Henry was his friend. No matter how he looked at it, it was something so simple to understand, yet Asmodeus couldn’t properly comprehend what it all meant.
“…friend, huh?” He finally spoke, now looking at the small fish that seemed to be completely uninterested in Asmodeus presence. “…you can feel that way towards your friends?” He didn’t know if he was answering Leviathan or if he was talking to himself. All he knew is that he felt a pang of loneliness when the realization settled as his eyes feel to the floor, shoulders visibly slumping.
He didn’t have anyone like that. Sure, he had people that admired and envied him, that wanted to talk and have a connection with him but, nothing was genuine. Nothing would be as sweet and sincere, as the care Leviathan felt for Henry because…because Henry was his friend. Asmodeus chuckled. Perhaps at the irony of the situation or maybe at his revelation, either way, he finally turned to Leviathan, a smile that his brother had never seen pestered in the face of the younger demon as he slowly got up. Walking to his older brother and planting a kiss on Leviathan’s forehead. Only to walk over to the door and opening it. Leviathan wanted to protest, to ask him why had wanted to know about that, or to just try and comfort his brother, but before he could say anything, Asmodeus spoke.
“…thank you, Levi. For telling me.”
It was the quietest he had ever heard his brother being. And yet, there was such a plead in his voice, asking to be left alone, asking to be given the time and space to think. Leviathan didn’t know what was the best option here, but who was here to deny his brother the comfort that came with being alone, to someone that needed it so much?
Philia: Deep, authentic bond. Pure and kind. From which friendships are born.

Brothers anon, it makes me really happy and comforts me that you enjoy reading what I submit. It makes me really happy to write all of this and finally be able to tell someone my ideas. Thank you so much.
At first he kept trying to deny the father figure role, but when one night Jackie had a nightmare and came to him and ended up calling him dad, he stopped denying it and accepted it. And once he accepted it he did basically adopt all of them. Jackie and Grievous are literally chaos incarnate most days. They regularly love to prank the contestants and just act insane. Ran and Jackie just kind of hang around eachother, like Ran could be reading and Jackie training and they'd enjoy eachothers company. They do sometimes nap next to eachother, or play card games (which is a rare instance where Ran gets (playfully) rilled up and competitive). Grievous and Ran bonding sadly gets interrupted when Ranbob suddenly drops in, but before that Grievous would try to talk to Ran about what book he's reading and just try to make conversation with him.
Oh the height difference definitely remains. And its both terrifying and hailours to new people. It's even better when it's a 2v2 fight because Jackie has a habit of just climbing Ran like a monkey gym and sitting on his shoulders and its terrifying.
Well, since the drinking age is 3, I personally think the age limit is like 14 or something close. I believe I made their ages as Ran is 19 (almost 20. Maybe 4 months away), Jackie is 16, Watson is 30 something, Grievous is 22, and Ranbob is 28 (Ran is younger than his brother by 9 years) I have written down all their ages somewhere (and the ages where the events of Mizu took place) and if I got any wrong I will submit another ask with their ages. The other gladiators have managed to keep good relationships with most of eachother. A few like Grievous and Genevieve are close, Edward, Levi, and Watson are drinking buddies. Lagguis sadly isn't as involved cause he is sick and can't vist often at all. (I think I got everyone. Tell me if I missed anyone please, I cant check cause whenever I exit tumblr, tumblr deletes everything in my ask :') )
I dont have many rules for the Pit rn but I do have, no injuries that could cause long term or chronic damage, no sabotaging opponents, no teaming unless its a team round, no blackmail or anything of the sort to force an opponent to forfeit, and in order for a battle to end due to forfeit both sides must agree to it. But the Pit in general is a lot of things, there's fights for money, fame, and positions (like general). There's tournaments meant for nothing other than to show skill and just to fight your heart out. It's open to anyone above 14 and anyone under 80, to people from Subbin to those just passing through.
And there are different battles in the Pit, theres singles, the ones we saw in the Tales of the SMP episode. Teams, where teams of 2 battles against eachother. Free-for-all, where literally everyone fights against eachother. And Ion battles, battles where there are super powered weapons (like flame 2 iron sword. Or strength 3 potions) that spawn in the area at random. Typically Ran and Watson work best toghere, as their strategists and plan everything with back up plans, and they always call out warnings and watch eachothers back so its incredibly hard to actually hit them. And Jackie and Grievous work best toghere, with the two going insane and often taking people by surprise with their unmeasure and randomized movements and attacks.
At the start Ranbob was completely under Dreams thrall, not being able to really think for himself and even foregoing self care. When Ranbob starts to become himself again the fishermen are more than confused and hesitant, with Cletus especially stating multiple times that it may just be a trick. So it takes a while but Isaac actually is the one to suggest maybe it isn't a trick, and has to do with the mask that was found. This is later confirmed when the mask is brought to the group and Ranbob has a massive negative reaction that sets him back to how he was when they first met him.
Im honestly not sure yet, I think I want it to be a 'lets never go back' type thing but im not positive yet.
I dont have a solid backstory for the fishermen, but I know I want a little bit of it to tie to the story. Do you have any ideas for their backstory or nah? I do know I want them to have met eachother while they where in unfortunate situations and because of those they got family level close.
Ranbob doesn't take the little space well at first; staying outside when able too, even though that really upset Benjamin; and Ranbob has no idea how the outside works and has no idea how to read the weather or what he can and cant eat, but hey the enderman boi is trying his best to make up for everything he's done. And trying to build his own house to not impose on the fishermen (much like Ranboo did with Techno), but Benjamin wouldn't accept that and kept dragging him inside. It wasn't that hard for Benjamin, Isaac, and Charles to get used to Ranbob, already being used to sharing a small house, it was more Cletus with him refusing to leave Ranbob alone even for a second because he doesn't trust Ranbob at all.
The two groups actually get along surprisingly well! They like eachother and Watson once said, "It was like a family reunion. Or like long lost siblings finally found their way home."
I am once again not sure! Originally I planned for them to stay in Subbin and in the Pit. But the more I think about it the more boring that is and more I like the idea of the groups traveling toghere in the world.
I like this question! So enderman travel in groups called hauntings right? I personally headcanon the enderman in this group are basically family, biological or not. And ever since Ran and Ranbob lost their family they lost their haunting, which can be mentally damaging to a enderman. Once Ran found Waston, Jackie, and Grievous and started hanging around them more, he started feeling a connection ot them he hasn't felt on a long time. He's claimed them, as his haunting, his family. And he'll defend them with his life against anyone and anything. And then suddenly Ranbob came in, a enderman that should be part of his haunting but isn't, a enderman that killed his previous haunting. So Ran is incredibly defensive over his group, and is trying his best to keep Ranbob as far from his haunting as possible, to protect them.
Now Ranbob also got a haunting, his being Charles, Isaac, Benjamin, and even Cletus. So Ranbob is also defensive over his family. But unlike Ran, Ranbob still considers his brother as part of his haunting, his family (and yes, Ranbob did think Ran was dead when he first chased him out years ago, so he's shocked and relieved that his baby brother is still alive). And he sees how his family gets along so well with Rans family and then starts to even consider Rans haunting part of Ranbob's. Basically Ranbob has a big heart and is willing to accept almost anyone into his family, no matter what they've done.
Yep, the reason Porkius is so interested in Ran is because he's an enderman hybrid. And no one else is a hybrid expect for the two brothers (and Porkius, with him being a piglin hybrid).
Porkius is excited! He's excited to see what happens and is more than happy to agree to help as long as he is kept in the loop. Though unless he's directly asked to be involved he prefers watching from a distance at whats happening. Just so he doesn't get mauled by a pissed off enderman.
Sorry for any spelling mistakes (its late) and its so long! Im probably going to try to shorten them.
I’m glad you’re happy, it’s a nice thing to feel. Your ideas are really cool, and I hope I’ll get to see more of them in the future.
Now, can I simply say how adorable so much of this is? Jackie going to Watson when he had a nightmare, the Rans being protective of their groups, Jackie climbing Ran? I love that, it’s very heartwarming and cute, and it made me smile.
So Watson wasn’t really sure what to do with his new title at first, hm? And then Jackie called him dad? How’d he feel about that? How’d Jackie feel about the slip? Or did he even notice? He’s parenting them all, he’s gonna have a dad voice and everything. How do the adopted ones feel about him embracing it?
Jackie and Grievous, two people to truly fear when they wish to cause havoc. Tremble before them. Do they prank people, or do they just become absolute madmen on the battlefield? Or something else. Honestly, anything with these two just instantly makes me amused.
Jackie and Ran being chill buddies. very nice. Ran getting competitive over card games is a funny thought. Does he win often? Does Jackie? What kind of card games do they play?
Rather sad Ran and Grievous bonding is interrupted, but it’s nice to hear Grievous trying it. Hopefully they’ll get there someday.
Oh my god, it’s the height difference. Jackie getting on Ran’s shoulder sounds absolutely terrifying. Imagine being some poor new guy pitted against these gremlins and the short ones climbs on the tall ones shoulder-both look absolutely gleeful with the destruction they’re about to wreak, and you already know you cannot outrun them.
Jackie...Jackie...he’s da youngest. He’s small, and young, and you have no idea how much I’m laughing at this. I don’t even know why, it’s just really, really funny to me. Probably something to do with what a complete force of chaos we all know this boy is. Oddly fitting, but hilarious. How does Jackie feel about this?
How do the others? Are they a bit more protective over him? Does Ran like to flaunt his three years more over him?
Grievous and Genevieve are buddies! Very nice, they seem to have a good dynamic. Watson, Edward, and Levi also being close? Very interesting, has a lot of potential. I bet they share a lot of funny stories.
So we’ve established the basics of The Pit. Doesn’t seem too bad, for a fighting arena, to be honest. Seems pretty popular, actually. Do the gladiators live there? In the palace? Or do they just have a house somewhere nearby? What kind of establishments and areas are around? Food places, stores?
So Ran and Watson are the scariest team because of their strategy, and Jackie and Grievous are the scariest team because of their randomness? It checks out. I’m curious though, how do the other combinations work out?
Ranbob sounds like he has a less than fun time here, and the poor guy could really use some closure. What’s he like, free from the influence of the mask? He seems pretty close to Benjamin, so at least he’s got that going for him. Though he and Cletus don’t seem to have the strongest bond at first. How is that resolved?
And how does Ran feel about his brother’s new haunting, after everything? I imagine that he’s at least a little bit unhappy with it, for one reason or another-and there’s quite a few reasons for him to pick from.
How did that house-building attempt go, between Ran never being above water, and probably never building a house before? I can’t imagine too well.
Some ideas for backstory, well, hm. Isaac seemed dressed a bit fancier than the others, perhaps he comes from a richer family than the others? That’s about all I’ve got for now, sorry.
It’s nice to hear they got along, who clicks the easiest?
Possible road trip? Always fun.
So, the enderman hybrids have adopted their respective groups as their hauntings. You’ve mentioned Ranbob’s pretty cool with this, how does Ran feel? Obviously, he’s less than pleased with Ranbob, but what about the fishermen? Protective Ran and Ranbob! How protective exactly? Is it subtle, or overbearing at times? Actually, how do their instincts lead to them interacting with their groups overall?
Porkius must not see Ender hybrids too often, if he’s so interested in them. It’s nice that he’s willing to help out though, and his concern is valid. I wouldn’t want an angry enderman hybrid after me either.
Are hybrids not overly common, then, if there’s only Ran, Ranbob, and Porkius around currently, or are they just not mentioned a lot?
Thanks for the ask, a lot of it made me smile. I enjoyed reading it, and I hope you’ll be willing to send more when you have the time.

PSISLY: An Obey Me!CYOA – sixty-four🔖
While being kabedoned had definitely been a part of your bucketlist, you were expecting it to be more…romantic. Not in a seedy corner of a street, done by your flustered bouquet thief who looked like he’d been through hell/Devildom or whatever its figurative namesake was. The terms are blurry after actually staying in the place for almost a year. He didn’t look like he had much sleep—his unkempt uniform seemed even more untidy than usual. His necktie was a breath away from you, finding yourself reaching your hand to tie it for him when you heard him speak.
“Yer my only hope, human!”
Hope? In what? For what? He was getting a little too close so you placed your hands on his shoulders to push him away, earning his flustered apologies. “You could have just messaged me.”
Mammon looked confused. His eyes looked at you incredulously as if you’re saying something absurd. “Do you think Satan would make it easy tryin’ to get to ya? I almost died there last night!”
“Were his worries warranted?”
“Of course not.” His voice sounded weak in reply. “Didn’t ya say you’d hear me out?”
You had a feeling there’s more to the situation than it seemed. Mammon’s motives were barely even scratching the surface. Everyone started acting really weirdly last night—Levi in particular seemed like he was on the verge of blurting out whatever conspiracy they were keeping amongst themselves from you. You were touched by his loyalty, but were also concerned about why they were going to such extents in the first place. Lucifer was usually the notorious secret keeper of the family—to involve his brothers in his secrets was the last thing he’d ever want to do. From your months of knowing him, you had at least an idea that the eldest sibling wasn’t the type to share his burdens with his family if he had a choice.
“Of course. But…” You looked around and smiled awkwardly at him. “Is this really the right time and place for that? I was supposed to meet with Satan.”
You saw the colour leave his face. It was as if the thought only came to him at your suggestion.
“E-Even so!” His façade was cracking at every second.
“?”
“Just come with me, darn human! Before he comes for me!”
A cold hand squeezed yours that felt small despite the fact that it enveloped your own. With relent, you shook your head and sighed, willing whatever consequences he may face and sharing his burdens. “Just how did he even punish you?”
You heard a gah! Squeak out of him as his face paled upon remembering. With a soft and unsure voice(and more respectful gestures that placed some distance between both of you), he answered. “Seventy five.”
“Pardon?”
You saw him bite his lip as you asked for an elaboration. Then, a blush coloured his cheeks that hinted of his embarrassment. “I should score 75 in all my subjects or else I’ll sksnjhfddfkjdf—“
“You lost me at or else I’ll—“
“IF I FAIL MY EXAMS I’LL GET HANGED!” His shaky voice finally let out all its steam in frustration. “I’m so tired of this crap! I really had a reason for this time and…” No, he shouldn’t be getting angry at you. You were his only ally on this. The fact that you’re even willing to listen to him proved that at least you cared for him and you had faith in him.
“Sorry.” He pulled away from you and placed a hand atop your head. “Yer the one who got affected by this. I shouldn’t get angry atcha. It’s just…frustrating.”
Mammon, more often than not, suffers the blunt of his brothers’ ires. Witnessing it already indicated its severity, but you wondered just how strongly would it be felt by actually experiencing it yourself? By putting yourself in his shoes?
“I’m sorry you feel that way Mammon.” You hid behind him again once you noticed some classmates passing by your corner. You really wanted to comfort him right now, but this isn’t the time. “We should talk about this in a more private place.”
He nodded in understanding and offered his hand. “You don’t have to help me. In fact, I might get in deeper trouble if ya help me study. Just …think with me. Please? I know it’s weird I’m asking ya this but…I can’t ask anyone else.”
You know that feeling, at least even a semblance of it. To face hardships alone with no one to lean on, to be faced by something you’re too small to handle by yourself but have no choice but to endure alone—you wondered. How long had Mammon been lonely in his own thoughts? Who really understood him? Surely you didn’t. A conversation ago, you had bitter feelings towards his “betrayal”(even if you were aware there was more to the situation than he let on). Perhaps the idea that we can spare some thoughts and care to someone else when we, alone are facing our own hardships is already a miracle in itself. After all, the world surely doesn’t revolve only at us. Even when we disappear, we return to the earth as something barely recognisable as us. Fragments of us could only exist in other’s memories and someday, even they would disappear too. If such an inevitable would happen in the future, then why should we care so much?
“Okay,” You found the answer to your many thoughts when you took the hand he offered. To see the storm in his eyes calm at your understanding made you feel that even he might be considering those thoughts despite the huge divide on your lifespan and race. Or perhaps you’d only like to think so to feel a closer connection to him. “What do you want to do, Mammon?”
“Pass.”
“Well, of course!” You laughed, conscious of his joking tone. “We can ask someone to help you. Do you have anyone in mind?”

“Don’t involve me in your problems, idiot brother.”
Rejected on the spot. You thought the offer of the latest memory foam pillow would do the trick, but it only earned you Belphegor’s disgusted look once he put two-and-two together and realised you’d been in on his dearest brother’s plans as well.
“Even for two pillows?”
“Are you kidding me?” There was now a frown on his face as he looked up at Mammon. “Get lost. And you!” He turned to you, annoyed. “Let’s just leave this idiot alone to suffer the consequences of his actions. Why are you even helping him?”
“Because he’s my friend.” You answered on instinct.
Purple pairs of eyes looked at you in shock. He seemed to be muttering something to himself, but it was too soft for you to hear. “You trust him so much, but you couldn't do the same for me."
“Belphie?”
“It’s nothing.” It didn’t sound like it was nothing. “I want a nap. Leave, you two.”
“But classes—“
“Just…leave.” Despite declining your request, you left the pillows for him anyway and bade him goodbye. For a fleeting second, you felt sadness in his eyes as you turned away from him and asked Mammon about your next plans. A part of you felt like you should have stayed with him. But you wondered why…
“Well that was a bust.” Mammon jutted his lips into a frown. “The only other smart person I know is Lucifer and…you know that option ain’t even viable.”
“Satan—“
“Are you flippin’ me, human?! You want me to really die?!”
Well. Satan was the best option, that was true. But both of you highly doubted he would ever willingly tutor someone he had been conspiring punishments against. Mammon was very vocal with his bitterness towards the fourth-born, and was spouting expletives that would make even the most vulgar of sailors blush.
“That freakin’ two-faced jerk! Just wait till I—“
“Just wait until I what?”
You were familiar with that aura. A mop of gold on your peripheral confirmed Mammon’s worst nightmare. There was pain on your shoulders as his nails dug into you, his taller form hiding behind yours almost like a shield. The only weapon his adversary had, meanwhile was a cold smile on his lips, green eyes glowing in sinister shades as you felt pressure in the air.
“You have 10 seconds to run. I can only be so patient.”
Mammon swallowed, giving into his survival instincts in a heartbeat. “S-see ya in Purgatory Hall, human!” You heard him cry out as he ran like the wind. “I’LL BE WAITING!”
“Now,” you felt Satan’s gaze at you as Mammon left. “Do you mind telling me what’s going on?
.
.
.
.
.
Don’t act cute to get away from this! It’s not going to work.”
You were a little scared of him, but beneath all that wrath, you knew your Satan was in there. To be fair, the idea of acting cute to get your way didn’t sit right with you either. So you did what you could only do: be honest with him.
“I wanted to help him.” Your eyes didn’t turn away from his. You refused to show fear; not for your sake, but his. You witnessed him growing weary every time his representative sin takes over him—how he’s genuinely trying not to hurt anyone, especially you. Taking his hand, you rested your cheek against his palm. “But until I hear his own reasons for doing so, can you please let me try and make judgements for myself?”
You saw him considering the thought. His eyes were still muddled but was slowly gaining composure. He touched your other cheek with his free hand, feeling it trembling slightly. “How can you be so understanding? So…unafraid?”
You kissed his palm and smiled at him. “Because I have nothing to fear, Satan. You won’t ever hurt me.”
Those words were what he needed to hear at that moment. You were right. Beneath all that wrath and rage, he was there, wide-eyed and vulnerable. What else can you do but hold him in your arms? “Is something bothering you right now?” You asked him as you stroked his head. “Does it concern me?”
“How did—“
“You worry so much over others rather than yourself. See?” Holding him by his cheeks, you kissed the tears forming in his eyes. “You’re doing it right now.”
It was a relief to finally see him smile(even if it’s just a little). “You’re the only one who says that.”
“And it won’t be the last one you'd ever hear from me.”
You stayed still in an embrace for quite a while, calming both of your thoughts with your own heartbeats. As the transience of the moment started to scatter in the flow of time, you felt the world move again. “I have something to tell you.”
What something was it that he requested access for the restricted section in the library? You saw runes being cast on the entrance door as he sat next to you on the settee. Hundreds of books filled the room with its musty, dusty scent, seeing better days between their pages. Familiar school supplies and cat items were scattered surreptitiously in each area—something new about him that you learned again today. Something you’d like to ask about later when the seriousness of your situation subsides.
He saw the question in your eyes and smiled a little as he answered it for you. “Yes, I stay here for long periods of time. And I had plans to show it to you in a more…romantic light than right now.”
“Just being with you is romantic enough.” You answered earnestly, which made the colour on his cheeks turn a lovely pink. He cleared his throat. “As much as I’d love to make this a more romantic summon, I can’t. Not if your life is in danger.”
Alertness registered on your features. “My life?”
He held you by your hands and squeezed them.
“Yes, kitten. Your life. Can I ask you something?”
“Yes?”
Now you’re starting to feel nervous. Satan had always been quite the worry-wart when matters come to you, but he seemed more apprehensive than usual. “Where did you get the flowers?”
Huh? Flowers? The bouquet? Your answer was almost instinctual.
“From you?”
You felt him squeeze your hands tighter. With a shaking head, he told you, “Kitten, I only sent you one. The bouquet is not mine.”
Then some proverbial cogs in your brain started to turn as he spoke. Everything seemed to be in slow motion as memories started flashing back in your mind: what did you read in that Flower Language book again?
“!!!”
You heard him call your name. “What is it?”
But instead of answering, you scrambled through your memories to remember the passages in the book as much as you could.
But wait. Do carnations even exist in Devildom? How would someone be able to procure one in the first place? This must have cost a pretty penny. You hesitated to take it after all until you noticed the single carnation was but a stray that lost its way from its bouquet…”
“A pink carnation in human world flower language means, I will never forget you…”
“Satan…” you looked at him in confusion. It was your turn to squeeze his hand.
Honestly? You didn’t really know what to feel. However, you were sure of one thing: you had questions you wanted to be answered.
“Is the one who sent me the bouquet…trying to kill me?”
Realising his blunder, he kissed your forehead to pacify you. “Sorry. I did not mean to scare you. We don’t have any solid proof yet besides the tin of cookies—“
“Cookies?”
So you didn’t know anything at all, he thought. Satan was beginning to worry if telling you all of this when the issue had not been resolved is the right choice. “When you checked your locker that day, what did you get?”
Despite the cacophony going on in your head right now, you urged yourself to answer. “A bouquet of carnations, a tin of cookies and a love letter…”
“Love letter?”
You nodded. “Someone sent one to me but he never really revealed himself. I didn’t think anything of it. As for the cookies...”
“Love, it’s okay.” He wrapped his arms around you. “Barbatos already investigated about the cookies. The tin was poisoned. The antidote should have worked now.”
“Antidote?”
Satan frowned, torn. “Lucifer laced antidote in your meals, apparently. I wasn’t even aware until last night.”
Was that what Lucifer meant when he said you’ll know soon? Just how many secrets is that demon even keeping from all of you? But then again, Lucifer is Lucifer. To him perhaps, this is his own way of protecting all of you. Always shouldering the burden for his and his alone, never even considering if other people cared about him taking such burdens by himself. Pride was a sin that ails the mind and the hearts of those who are loved, however unaware. You wondered if his brothers ever felt the same way as you are feeling right now. Then again, they always had an awkward way of showing that they genuinely care about each other.
“No getting mad at Lucifer. You’re frowning right now, aren’t you?”
“Tsk.”
“Deep down, you know he cares.”
“That’s the most disgusting thing I ever heard.”
Pfft. Typical Satan.
Laughing, you buried your face on the crook of his neck. “Actually, maybe getting mad at him a little is okay,”
“I’m mad at him all the time.”
“I know!” You laughed again and pulled away from him. “I take it that everyone besides Mammon knows already?”
“Levi blurted it out, didn’t he?”
“Almost,” you shook your head and smiled. “Thank you for protecting me, Satan. I now understand what caused you that reaction last night.”
You felt like he held you tighter than usual. You wanted to argue that you weren’t some fleeting human like his carnation but with the situation now, you couldn’t really tell. Maybe he had every reason to be protective of you.
“I have to make some investigations myself. I’m sorry.”
You wished you didn't understand what he meant. It would be a lie if you’d say that you wouldn’t miss him at all. But this was for your own safety. “I’ll do my best to stay still and not worry you.” You answered back. You weren’t stupid. You were barely exposed to the dangers of Devildom because of the joint efforts of the student council and Lord Diavolo’s vassals. Add that to the fact that you barely had any magic in you and you’re basically a meal on wheels for most of the demons here. Pacts can only go a long way either. It was best to be careful.
“As much as I am against it, I feel like Mammon’s presence is good for you right now.”
“Wait—does it mean?!”
Satan sighed and placed a chaste kiss on your lips. “As much of a scum he may be, he’s quite reliable. It would be reassuring to know you will be together at times I could not stay by your side.”
“Woo! I love you, Sataaaaan!~” He laughed when you tackled him on the settee, receiving your head rubs and hugs unabashed. “Did I ever tell you you’re amazing? The best demon brother out of the Seven? Don’t tell  the others though.”
Smiling, he answered--all the love in the world reflected in his eyes as he looked at you. “I’d be troubled if I wasn’t, dearest.”
“Oh hey! Yer finally he—Gah! What is he doing here?!” Mammon looked betrayed when he saw his brother standing beside you. Ah. Satan seemed like he can’t be bothered to explain anything. He looked at you expectantly.
Messenger mode: ON
“He was just escorting me here. He’s going to go somewhere else.”
“If he’s gonna agree we can look for a tutor together, he shoulda said so!”
Mammon looked confused when Satan leaned on your ear and whispered his something to you. It was utterly childish and petty, yes… but you decided to humour him. Hah, love was blinding you terribly. “He says don’t get your hopes up.”
“What the heck?”
Another whisper and Satan left.
“So what did he say this time? Oi! Earth to human? You there?”
“...nothing.”
…because the bloody bastard bit and blew on your ear!
You shrugged off any more questions that Mammon raised about your weird behaviour(and your incredibly flushed face), and instead directed the conversation to asking his progress on his tutor search. He had told you (in a hopeful tone) that Solomon might agree to teach him as long as he can offer a bargain that would benefit the sorcerer. It sounded pretty shady, but you were both desperate and were left with no other options so you didn’t really give any more thoughts to its obvious consequences in the future. In terms of brains, Solomon was no doubt, an excellent student. He lives up to his name as the Witty Sorcerer after all. Surely with a pact of a powerful demon like Mammon, he would definitely—
“Yeah, about that…I already said that and he declined.”
“Oh?” How surprising. You were quite sure that he would agree.
“Want to ask Simeon then?”
Mammon shook his head. “He’s hosting some party thing with Levi, remember?”
Oh yeah! Ruri-chan’s birthday party. You almost forgot!
“…then, how about me?”
Mammon flicked your forehead and frowned. “I’d get in trouble, stupiiiid.”
“Want to ask Belphie again?”
Mammon was considering the thought, but he already blew his budget on buying the expensive memory foam pillows you bought for the youngest as your bribe. “Got any cash then?”
“Hahaha—“
“Thought so.”
You signed in unison, dejected over the bleakness of his situation.
“Ah, you’re still here?”
…until his ray of light finally descended upon him again.
“Solomon, my man!” The said man effectively dodged Mammon’s attempts of skinship. With a vague smile on his face, he tilted his head and noticed your presence. “Oh, you’re here too?”
“Emergency meeting time! Code M, I’ll secure the target.”
“Hah! I’d like to see you try! The Great Me was already turned down, you know?”
Well, that’s true. Compared to Mammon: a powerful demon, Solomon wouldn’t really gain anything from doing you a favour. You considered using Lucifer as a bargaining chip, but thinking of the consequences of that risk, you concluded that it wasn’t worth it.
“Soooooooo Solomon…” You forced a smile. “How have you been doing lately?”
Catching your intentions, the sorcerer smiled to himself and played along. “You wanted to ask something from me, don’t you?”
!!!
“W-what do you mean? I was just interested in your well-being!”
“Oh, a sudden interest in my well-being, I see. But what for?”
“I-“ Crap. This man is a fortress!
“I told ya. You ain’t getting through him with that weak ass excuses yer pullin’!”
You mouthed for Mammon to shut up or else you’d blow your cover, not knowing that there wasn’t much of a cover to fall back from the start.
You were bad at this! It felt bad to lie anyway so you decided to shed your false pretences and be honest with him. You felt more comfortable doing so anyway! Holding his hand, you made sure to look at him straight in the eyes so he would know you are being sincere.
Deals, deals. What could this conniving man ever benefit from you? Surely there’s something he would want from you! But what?
“Please tutor Mammon!”
…as you thought: you had nothing to bargain to win him over. Well at least you tried.
“It’s okay, Solomon. I understand. Sorry for bothering you.
.
.
.
.
Solomon?”
He went quiet so you couldn’t help but look up at him. It turns out your candidness was something he wasn’t expecting…or so it seemed from how taken aback he was.
“…you’re not…a bother at all. Haha!” He reassured you. “Okay, I’ll do it.”
Suspicious.
You raised an eyebrow to that and retorted. “Just like that?”
His light-hearted laughter was already telling. With an impish smile, he placed your hands back to your side and said, “Please do Simeon’s favour for me. He’d understand.”
Favour?
“Why am I getting a bad feeling about this?”
His whimsy returned with gusto and now you weren’t really sure if the favour was worth it.
“I promise it isn’t anything bad,” He reassured you. “And when did I ever break my promise?”
“Since ever. We never made any promises.”
“I suppose you’re right…” He laughed once more. His expressions, however smiling and friendly were impossible to read. “Then think of it as an act of service; from one human to another human. We only have each other in this big, cruel otherrealm. It only makes sense for us to look after each other, doesn’t it?”
“If the human were anything less than Earth’s most powerful sorcerer.”
Sometimes, it felt like he was speaking in another language every time you exchange words with each other. Does he really mean it? Is there anything hidden beneath his words? Perhaps the brothers’ (except Asmo) apprehensiveness towards him was rubbing off on you. You didn’t know.
“You flatter me~”
What you did know was that Mammon’s troubles were already solved. The aforementioned second eldest was currently slack-jawed and absolutely stupefied at whatever the hell he had witnessed.
You can only offer him shrugged shoulders and an equally confused reply to his silent questions once the sorcerer left. “He says it’s an act of service from one human to another, but then gave me errands to do anyway. Weird guy.”
Needless to say, nothing could ever prepare you for the truth that will reveal itself once you went back to Lamentation.

About Damn Time - Colby Brock
At Playlist, both y/n and Colby are busy meeting their fans and doing several different events, but the fans keeping bugging Colby about him still not having asked y/n out yet.
Warnings: some curse words
Word Count: 2.4k+
--------------------------------------------------
"Omg y/n! Hi! I can't believe I'm finally meeting you!" A fourteen-year-old blonde girl with big green eyes beamed at me as she almost ran to me and fell into my open arms.
"I can't believe I'm meeting you! It is so much more exciting to meet you, I promise. What's your name, love?" I ask her as I hold onto her as tightly as she is doing to me. I will never get over this feeling of meeting all these people who support me. They have no idea the impact they have on my life.
"Annabeth, but most people call me AB," she gushed as we pulled away from the embrace.
"Well AB, I am so happy I got the pleasure to meet you," I say as I hold onto her hand. She smiles at me before pulling out a beautiful yellow gift bag with white sparkly tissue paper coming out the top.
"This is for you!" she exclaimed as she handed me the gift.
"Oh my goodness, you didn't have to get me anything. They won't let me open it here because of time, but I'll send you a video of me opening it because I'm sure you wanted to see me do that. What's your Instagram?" I tell her.
"I wrote it on the letter in the bag," she informed me, and I nodded.
"Smart thinking. I like that. Okay, now it's picture time." I say with a wink. We turn to the camera and take a few pictures. We take a normal one, just standing next to each other. Then one where I kissed her cheek and one where she kissed mine. Then we took one where we hugged each other really tight and had huge smiles on our faces. Lastly, we took one where she got on my back, like a piggyback ride, and we made silly faces. I sat her back down and we hugged each other goodbye.
"Don't forget to send me those pictures later!" I shouted at her as she walked away.
"I won't!" She screamed back as she waved. I waved back as another teenage girl walked up with her younger brother with her.
"Hey!" I shout, restarting the routine and meeting more people.
...
"Bye Mason!" I shout to the last person I met at my meet and greet as he walks away. We wave at each other before I turn around to Lillie, my manager.
"Drink some water. We will get all of the gifts and things together and drop them off at your hotel room. But you need to hurry. Your Q&A panel with Sam, Colby, and Jake starts in five minutes and is on the opposite side of the building." She informs me as she hands me a cold water bottle and my eyes widen at the last bit of information.
"I have to be across this huge place in five minutes?" I worry. This building is enormous and there is absolutely no way I can make it there in time.
"You'll make it if you head over there now," Lillie reassures me, noticing who anxious I got. She nods her head in the direction for me to start heading in and pats me on the back, signaling me to go. I started walking to the panel, but I knew I wasn't going to make it if I walked, so I ran.
"Y/n! Where are you going?" I heard a familiar voice ask me. I turn around to see my tall, curly brown-headed friend that I met through TikTok.
"Hey Merrick! I'm in a hurry so if you want to talk, you're going to have to run with me." I tell him as I catch my breath for a quick minute.
"I have a better idea," he tells me as he turns around and squats down, "hop on." I laugh as I do as he said, climbing onto his back. As soon as he stood all the way up, I felt like I was really far away from the ground. Merrick is a lot taller than Colby and Colby is the tallest person I've ever piggybacked on. He has to be a little over half a foot taller than Colby.
"Where to?" He asked, turning his neck to see my face.
"Conference room 1017, please." I chirped and he nodded before taking off. His long legs and army background definitely moved way faster than I ever could. My arms tightened around his neck to hold me steady and he gripped onto my thighs better to ensure I wouldn't fall. I giggled the whole way there until we finally arrived at my destination.
"Thanks, Merrick! I owe you one," I say as I give him a quick friendly kiss on the cheek and slide off his back.
"No problem. We need to catch up later when you aren't busy running around this place." We chuckle and I hug him quickly before walking in. I head to the back where the boys are.
"There she is!" Jake says as he and the others walk up to me.
"Sorry guys. My meet and greet went on longer than expected and then I was going to have to run all the way over here, but Merrick came and saved the day." I explain. The three of them nod understandingly as some guy tells us it's time to head out there.
"Come on guys," Sam says as he leads the way. We walk onto the stage as the crowd of fans scream. The four of us wave at everyone as we make our way to the table where Levi, a Playlist worker, sits with four empty seats beside him. We each take our seat before saying hey and beginning with the questions.
"From @golbrockjakeyscherer: Y/n, since you weren't in the first trap house, what are you most and least excited about in moving to the second one?" Levi reads from the question card before looking at me. The boys have cheeky little grins on their faces, ready to hear my answer. I giggle before speaking.
"Umm... I'm most excited about living with my best friends and all the memories and fun times we will have and I'm least excited about the fact that the boys are going to lose the prank war. Am I right?" I answer, receiving chuckles from everyone and some rolled eyes from the guys next to me.
"Someone is mighty confident," Sam comments.
"Sure am. You guys are going down," I add. Colby lets out a scoff and rolls his eyes once more causing me to laugh, making him smile.
Levi goes around asking each of the guys a question and then it is my turn again.
"From @ynandthetrapbois: Since you are a skilled TikTok dancer, which one of the guys do you think is the best dancer on TikTok?" He asked me before looking up at me from the question card.
"Well, I'm not going to say Corey because he isn't here and is a better dancer than any of us but..." I drag out as my gaze shifts between the three beside me. "Sam is out. Sorry buddy," I say, and he frowns and pouts.
"But between Jake and Colby, I'm going to have to say the best is Jake. Sorry Colbs," I tell him as I pat his back. Jake has a childish grin on his face, happy with his victory.
The questions go around to all the boys until it is back to me.
"From @taralicious: Y/n, have you ever kissed Colby?" Levi smirks a little after reading that one.
"Uh yes I have but you all saw that. It was for a video. The one Colby pranks Sam and Corey saying he finally got a girlfriend but that's the only time I kissed him." I say.
"What about that night we were really drunk?" Colby whispers to me, forgetting the microphone is right in front of him. I smack him on the leg before responding.
"They asked if I had ever kissed you. You made that move, not me." I tell him which causes him to blush hard and the fans notice it, giggling at his adorable embarrassment. I join in on the laughter as well.
I watch as Levi reads the next question for Jake and he begins answering it. As he speaks, I notice Sam nudge Colby, nodding his head in the direction of the crowd. Colby's ocean blue eyes follow that direction and he smiles, his cheeks tinting red again. I allow my eyes to go where his were to see what the two were snickering about and notice a few fans with signs. Once I read them, I realize what the boys are giggling about. One read, "What are you waiting for?" Another said, "Just ask her out already." The last one had, "Y/n + Colby," written on it. My reaction was similar to Colby's, a smile and slight blush.
After Jake's question, Sam gets asked about our next series and then it was Colby's turn.
"From @babybrock: Colby, why haven't you asked y/n out yet?" Levi smiles hugely after that one. The girls holding those signs in the back scream, "yeah!" That blush that has been repeatedly showing up on Colby's cheeks revealed itself again as did his cheeky grin.
"Umm, I don't know why. I just haven't. But don't worry, I will someday. Someday soon hopefully," Colby softly speaks into the microphone in front of him. The audience coos at his words and I blush and smile.
We finish up our Q&A and separate to do our different events. I walk along the halls before hearing that same voice from earlier.
"So, you've downgraded to just regular walking now?" Merrick says from behind me. I smile as I turn around.
"Yeah, I'm not in as much of a hurry as I was last time. Thanks for that by the way. There was no possibility of me making it there without you and your long-ass legs," I chuckle as he smiles and nods.
"No problem. Are you going to any of the parties later tonight?" He questioned. I shrugged in response.
"I might. I know Tara wants to go and she will probably drag me into it. But honestly, as much as I love Playlist, it is tiring me out." I fill him in.
"I feel that. It can be very exhausting, but I love every minute of it." He told me and I nod in agreement. Before we could talk any longer, my phone starts buzzing in my hand. Lillie's calling me.
"I'll talk to you later, okay?" I assure him and he nods. We wave at each other before I answer the phone.
"Hey, Lillie!" I chirped into the phone.
"Hey y/n, so the other panel that you were supposed to be a part of got canceled so you are free for the rest of the day." She informed me.
"Okay, thanks!" I tell her before we hang up. Well now that I have some free time, I think I'm going to head up to my room and start filming me opening those gifts for the people that brought them. So that exactly what I did.
...
"Awwwww AB! I love this. You didn't tell me you were artistic," I gush as I admire the gorgeous artwork. She had made this amazing watercolor painting of her and me.
"This is definitely going up in my room when I get home. You should think about going into art. You have some promising skills here, Annabeth," I say to my phone camera that I had propped up on the tv stand of the hotel room. I sat the artwork to the side as I pulled more wonderful things out of the bag. It's crazy to me how well my followers know me. As I open a small box, I hear someone knock at my door.
"One second AB, I'll be right back," I whisper to my phone as I walk to the door. Getting on my tiptoes, I peek through the peephole to see who it was. Mr. Cole Robert Brock. I swing the door and let him in.
"Hey, I wanted to talk to you about something that was discussed earlier," Colby informs me as he scratches the back of his head nervously. The act made nervousness and anxiety flow through my body, scared about what was about to happen.
"Okay," my voice sounded shaky to me, but he didn't seem to notice. We sat down on separate beds, facing each other.
"So, you know how the fans really want us to be together? You know as in a couple?" His voice sounded shaky and nervous as well. I nodded my head and felt a small bit of hope. Was he about to finally do it and ask me out?
"Well, I was wondering if you wanted to get together for them? It wouldn't be anything real. Just for social media." As soon as the words fell from his beautifully parted lips, my heart fell and shattered. Its pieces were at ground level with my feet.
"I'm sorry Colbs. I can't do that," I tell him as I keep my gaze focused on the ground. Colby is not the type of guy who would ask me to do that, but I guess he isn't the type of guy I thought he was.
"Good because I was kidding. I want to be with you because I like you, y/n. So, will you be with me?" He snickers as he speaks and a huge smile spreads across my face.
"Of course, I'll be with you, Colbs," I say as he stands up, pulling me up to him and swinging around with me in his arms as giggles escape my lips. He sat me down back on the ground and stared into my eyes as he pushed some stray hairs behind my ear.
"I'm taking you out tonight, okay?" he questioned me, and I nodded as he headed for the door before leaving so we could each get ready. As I turned around, I noticed I was still filming.
"Oh my goodness, AB, I forgot I was filming," I say as I sat down where I previously was. I chuckle at my own stupidity as I continue with the video and finish opening her gift to me.
"Well AB, you are going to get a very interesting video," I say as I wink at the camera before ending the recording. As soon as I finish, I get a Twitter notification from Colby.
Colby @ColbyBrock i finally did it guys
A giggle escapes my lips as my fingers type away to reply to the tweet.
Y/n @y/n Replying to @ColbyBrock about damn time

Levihan prompt: He only knew she had cancer (or any other deadly illness), but it was already too late.
jeez, i hope i didn’t screw it up too much, because i honestly suck at writing angst
“Stop looking at me like that.”
“Like what?”
“Like I’m fucking dying!”
“But that’s what you do, right?” Levi squeezed his hands so tightly in fists they began to tremble. He bowed his head, laying it on Hange’s knees and hiding his eyes from her. His voice remained calm, as he quietly added. “You’re fucking dying, Hange.”
“I know,” Hange’s voice became softer, as she laid a gentle hand on Levi’s head. A hand, which was wrapped up in bloodied bandages, just as the rest of Hange’s broken body. “But there is nothing we can do about it now, right?”
An expedition gone horribly awry was to blame for Hange’s current sorry state. Trying to save her comrades, Hange had been caught by a Titan. Her squad managed to get her out of its deathly hold, but not before it squeezed her body in its giant hands, breaking her bones and destroying her internal organs. It was a miracle that doctors managed to prolong her life for as long as they did, but everyone knew Hange was a walking corpse. It wouldn’t take long before her body would cease its resistance and Hange would finally be able to rest.
She didn’t regret it, she didn’t regret racing to save a comrade, even if it had costed her her own life. The only thing she regretted was the fact that she hadn’t died on a battlefield, but instead was chained to a hospital bed, while Levi looked at her with eyes that were filled with sorrow and pain.
She tried to drive him away, of course. She screamed and cursed at him, and when those didn’t work she started to beg him to leave her alone. She didn’t want him to remember her like this – a broken, shaking mess with pale skin and trembling lips.
Hange managed to kick out Erwin, Mike, Nanaba and even Moblit, but Levi didn’t budge. He refused to leave her side even for a second, and he spent his days and nights, sitting next to her on the uncomfortable hospital chair.
When Hange was in so much pain she couldn’t breathe, Levi held her tightly in his arms and entertained her with some stories. He spoke to Hange, telling her about his childhood and life in the Underground. He talked about his mother, and his friends Furlan and Isabel, and even about his uncle, who abandoned him, when he was just a boy.
He talked and talked and talked, and Hange had never heard so many words coming from Levi’s lips.
And it relaxed Hange. As she listened to his quiet voice, Hange forgot about the pain, and as Levi gently rubbed circles on her hand, her lips even curled into a soft smile.
And as she softly played with the strands of Levi’s inky hair, Hange suddenly felt it – her time was running out. She wouldn’t be able to hold on for much longer.
But there was one thing she wanted to do before her death.
“Levi,” she called quieter than ever. “I need to ask a favor of you.”
“Anything.” Levi promised fiercely, lifting his head and looking into Hange’s eyes with intensity he reserved only for her.
“I wouldn’t be able to do it by myself, but I want… I want you to take me up on the wall, Levi.”
And Levi didn’t need her to say anything else, understanding her desire.
He was a Scout, just like her, and he knew that the most precious thing for Hange was freedom.
“Of course,” he murmured, gently lifting her up.
                                                             ***
“Ah, I could never get bored of this sight,” Hange sighed dreamily, staring at the warm orange glow of the sunset. “And the air here is so fresh! It smells so different behind the walls.”
Hange inhaled deeply, savoring the faint scent of freedom. She was in pain, and it seemed like every inch of her body hurt, but still, there was a smile on her face.
Levi was pressed beside her, his hands holding her in a gentle, but tight embrace.
Hange had never felt so at peace.
“You are shivering,” Levi noted. Immediately, he took of his Scout’s jacket and wrapped it around Hange’s shoulders.
Hange said nothing, just gave Levi a grateful smile.
They both knew she wasn’t shivering from the cold, but it still it was a very nice gesture.
“Promise me one thing, Levi,” Hange turned to look at him, her eyes were slowly filling with tears. “Promise you won’t cry over me.”
“Idiot,” Levi scoffed. “You’re taking my heart with you, and you’re asking me not to mourn its loss?”
“Levi…” Hange didn’t know what to say. She hopelessly stared at the man beside her. He had suffered so much in his life, and now she was leaving him too…
“I’ll find you, Hange,” Levi began, not looking at her and squeezing her hand almost painfully. “Whenever you’ll end up, whatever realm or world or some other shitty place you will go to, I’ll find you again. And then I’ll kick your ass for leaving me alone in this life.”
“Levi!” Hange let out a half-sob, half-laugh, smacking his arm playfully. “You wouldn’t be able to find me, though, if I find you first.”
“Impossible. With that shitty eyesight of yours, you won’t even see me.”
“Huh? Do you think every version of me will be wearing glasses?”
“Of course,” Levi nodded. “They are part of you, the same as your stupid genius brain and your inability to look after yourself. But don’t worry, I’ll make you notice me. And I’ll make sure you remember me.”
“But what if you won’t be able to remember me, huh? And what if you find someone better for yourself in the next life?”
“Don’t be an idiot, Hange. I will always remember you. And there is no one better for me than your stupid ass.”
“Ah, Levi,” Hange laid her head on his shoulder. “I love you so much.”
“Go to sleep, Hange,” Levi whispered. “I’ll wake you when it’s time to go back.”
Hange nodded slightly, and closed her eyes. Her breathing leveled out and then it became slower and slower, until eventually it stopped.
Levi continued to watch the sunset, until the sun completely disappeared behind the horizon.
Then he laid Hange in front of him, staring at her face.
She looked so peaceful, someone may think she was just sleeping, but Levi knew better.
He watched Hange’s sleeping face a thousand of times. He knew that she frequently mumbled in her sleep and that there was always a drool in the corners of her mouth. And she never lay so calmly, instead tossing and turning and stealing Levi’s blanket from him.
There was no one to steal Levi’s blanket now. There was no one to wake him up in the morning with annoying and loud singing. There was no one to barge into his office, interrupting his work. There was no one to make a mess inside his room. There was no one he could hug, and kiss, and hold hands with. There was no one who could soothe him and there was no one who could make him forget all of his sorrows.
There was no Hange Zoe anymore, and Levi honestly didn’t know how to feel about this.
He knew he should be sad, heartbroken and devastated. But he felt… nothing.
It was as though his words were actually true, and Hange did take his heart with her.
He didn’t cry, didn’t scream in pain, he just sighed, deeply and wearily. Levi looked up at the night sky above him, and wondered if the stars were always that bleak, and if he always felt so cold.
Was it because he gave his jacket to Hange?
Or was it because he gave his heart and soul to her?
Levi shook his head, having no desire or energy to think about that kind of things.
He softly pressed his lips to Hange’s, sharing his one last kiss with her.
And then he picked her up, holding her limp body close, and began to descend from the wall.
Someday he will be allowed to rest as well, and then he would go to whenever Hange went, and he would find her, and then he would finally reunite with his missing heart.

I -
I can't stop thinking about it -
About what, you ask?
An Obey Me! and Fate/Grand Order crossover
(Warning: Long post ahead!)
Either the bois get summoned to Chaldea or they're able to summon Servants themselves
(...I'm leaning towards the first)
The tomfoolery! The shenanigans!
Imagine: Humanity's Last Master (aka you) ends up summoning them as they trek through Rome with Mash and the Servants they already summoned
They set up the summoning circle, but one minor mistake is made and the summoning glow looks a bit darker than usual and BOOM
"S-...Senpai...is this normal?"
You have no idea what's normal or not, I mean you're time travelling to save your people for fucks sake -
"Servant of the Rider Class. My True Name is Lucifer. Do not expect me to cater to your every whim."
...Wait he's a what now??
They were not supposed to have this whole "Class" thing designated to them (it's not how demonic summoning works he swears), and yet they do for some reason
(You can tell I had fun thinking of their Classes)
The introductions are...cold, to say the least
"Saber Class Servant, and none other than The Great Mammon, Avatar of Greed! I got better things to be doing, so don't go calling me whenever ya want, got it?!"
"Lancer Class...Leviathan. I have an mmorpg raid coming up, so I can't stick around."
"Berserker Class. My name is Satan. What? Are you surprised that I seem calm for a Berserker? It's quite alright; I get that reaction often enough. A word of advice: Be careful what you wish for."
"My name is Asmodeus, but you can call me Asmo darling! I'm a Caster, which is good. I can't mess up the work done on my nails and hair!"
"Hm...Oh? Sorry, I was thinking about lunch. Servant Class: Ruler. I'm Beelzebub, but most people call me Beel. Do you have any snacks on you?"
"Servant Class: Avenger. My name is Belphegor, but I doubt you'll be alive long enough to remember that. I won't do your dirty work for you, human."
You are just...done at that point. You are literally carrying the weight of the world on your shoulders and their attitudes are not helping
"Yeah, yeah, here's the gist: there's a war going on and we're trying to save the planet. The future's been incinerated, and it's our job to fix what went wrong. I don't have time for your uncooperation; get on board."
(Mash is worried for your mental health)
It takes some time, but they do manage to open up to you
The main catalyst for this is when they heard you talking to Robin Hood, who was summoned in France
"Say, Master...I gotta ask: Why are you doing this?"
You pause what you're doing, shooting him an incredulous look. "You mean saving the world?" You ask in return.
He shrugs, tilting his head forward in a slight nod. "Yeah. There's other people who could do this, aren't there?"
"There isn't." The brothers hear you say firmly. Beel almost went in because he wanted a snack, but the others held him back; the conversation had peaked their interest, and they wanted to hear what you had to say.
"Robin..." Your voice comes out strained, as if you were barely holding yourself together. "I watched innocent people die in front of me. Good people. The world outside is gone. I can't even go see my family, because they're dead. I'm not expecting you to understand, but it hurts so bad that somedays I don't feel like getting up. If I die, it's all over; humanity's done. I'll never be able to see my family's smiles again, I'll never be able to hear their laughter; I'll...I'll never be able to go back home.
"So, instead of asking why I'm doing this, you should be asking "How far are you willing to go?" instead."
Robin is silent for a while. Mammon shifts on his feet. The Green Archer finally speaks, somber but curious tone filling the air. "And? What's the verdict, Master?"
Your voice has a tone of finality to it that shoots them back to the past, back towards the Celestial War. It's final, but it's tired. "Whatever it takes."
(And, so, the brothers come to understand and even sympathize with your situation a little bit. You had to fight for the sake of others without rest, you were a leader, you were a savior, but most of all...you were alone. And something about that didn't sit right with them.)
They would fit in perfectly with Chaldea's dynamics, actually
Mammon has a gold sword he lovingly calls Goldie (yes it changes into his beloved credit card)
His Noble Phantasm is literally him raising his sword and mountains of Grimm burying his opponents from the sky as he cackles out:
"Don't worry, I'll take all that money off ya hands!"
Or, in a proud declaration:
"My sword is my love, and my love is my sin. I'll take all that you have on ya! STULTUS IN AVARITA!!"
(Translates (from Google) to "Greed of the Fool")
(It also gives you an increased drop rate in materials)
Leviathan's weapon is his trident
He's surprised that he wasn't summoned as a Rider, once he got used to the "Class" thing (which was fairly quick, he's seen an anime like this before). I mean, he has a giant snake named Henry 1.0 and Lothan that he would've loved to fight side by side with
He usually doesn't fight, but he proves to be invaluable in Okeanos since he has knowledge on war strategies at sea
His Noble Phantasm is a bit strange, but endearing (sad). He rushes forward with his trident glowing, saying either:
"I can't get the latest Ruri-chan merch because you blew up the world...I won't forgive you. I can't forgive you!"
Or, in a somber tone:
"Even though it's fun, a gamer's life becomes stifling if you keep playing by yourself. I hope you're watching, (Y/N)! EX SOLA INVIDIA!!"
(Translates (from Google) to "Envy of the Lonely")
(Chance of Death increases with Overcharge, and it hits a single enemy)
Satan? Even though he's a Berserker, he behaves more like a Caster (initially)
He's holding a book that shoots out beams of pure energy at his opponents
His Noble Phantasm is...more violent
"Ah, so you've decided to call upon my Noble Phantasm...don't blame me if it's too much for you."
Or, he begins in a deathly calm voice:
"I am me; that's all I need to be. I know this, so why...? Why does this happen? TELL ME! "
He discards his books altogether, grabbing a single enemy with his bare hands and ripping them to shreds.
Asmo’s skill is charming his enemy, which confuses most people since you’d think it’d be his Noble Phantasm
Instead, it boosts his allies’ attacks and NP by 30%
“Don’t get too hurt out there~!”
Beel’s Noble Phantasm heals all allies and increases their attack
“We can’t fight on an empty stomach.”
(Once he hits his last Ascension, your party gets the added bonus of him attacking a single enemy with a lance. All other Ascensions has him using his fists for attacks.)
Belphie’s Noble Phantasm is almost as violent as Satan’s, and yes...he chokes out a single enemy out (rip MC)
“HA! You think I’d work with the likes of you, a lowly human? Get out of my sight.”
It’s Instant Death, unless Evasion or Invincibility is activated
Lucifer’s pride is a bit wounded. He’s a Rider, of all things??
(...He eventually gets used to it though)
His Noble Phantasm is him literally mounting Cerberus and raising his spear towards the heavens, looking as radiant as the days before the Fall
“It seems drastic times call for drastic measures. Cerberus, I trust you to handle things here.”
And Cerberus runs forth, either chomping the enemy in two or breathing fire at them and turning them into ash. (It hits everyone)
Satan and Jekyll hang out a lot because, well...they’re a lot alike
Mammon can and will do stupid shit with the Cu Squad and you cannot change my mind
One time he teamed up with Cascu to steal the other Cu’s spears (Mammon wanted to sell them on Akuzon), and well...half of Chaldea is still in repair to this day
Merlin of all Servants is the one to look after Belphie and Beel
They usually hang out in the garden Robin tends to, Asterios occasionally joining them while bringing both food and Euryale
Asmo frequently visits Medea, dragging Medusa into their group
(Dantes grows fond of Beel overtime, I mean Beel is just so pure there’s no way you couldn’t like him)
Lucifer and EMIYA butt heads at first, but they end up becoming friends despite that
Lucifer admires EMIYA’s skill to keep up with Servants who have a black hole for a stomach, and EMIYA admires Lucifer’s skill to round up his brothers effortlessly when the need to arises (or so he thinks, because he does not know about the Hate Lucifer Club which is run by Satan and Belphie).
Levi and Fran have a pure kind of friendship that must be protected at all costs
He shows her new animes and games, and even though she’s confused most of the time she never fails to listen to his ramblings, nodding whenit was appropriate
BONUS: Undateables (+ Luke)!
Solomon’s situation is...peculiar.
He’s not a Servant, but he behaves like one??
(He’s actually a mage that helps you on your journey to save humanity)
Unlike Da Vinci, he’s able to accompany you to the Singularities (free of charge, too!)
Once he sees the other Solomon, all he says is “I see...interesting.”
(Ngl he probably figured out everything by the time you all went to Okeanos)
Asmo also drags him into his group (consisting of Medea and Medusa), offering to paint his nails as they talk about anything and everything
Simeon is a Lancer and you can’t change my mind
He’s more of a buffer for your team, like Asmo. His skills are primarily healing, and his NP saps the health of an opponent while healing someone other than himself with that health (he cannot heal himself)
He gets along great with Karna!! The two are so nice and kind that it hurts to look at them both for too long
Solomon tells him about the gossip Asmo has on the other Servants. He always listens with an amused look on his face.
Luke is a smol Caster, but he will not hesitate to break your kneecaps
He, too, is a buffer for your team
“I’ll defend you from those demons, (Y/N)!”
His Noble Phantasm heals all allies, restoring their health by 20%
He bakes with Fsn Cu at night, having Proto Cu and Robin Hood try out his sweets. Beel is there 10/10 times, eating any failures or rejects
Diavolo is Ruler Class because he is literally the Ruler of Hell
Surprisingly (to you, at first), he’s the one who always asks to accompany you. He’s very open and considerate, wanting to help wherever and whenever he can
“The Human Realm is essential if we are to establish harmony between the three Realms. Without it there...angels and demons would fight each other for eternity.”
He tells you about his ideas for an exchange program and you offer him input
His Noble Phantasm is applying Invincibility to two allies for 3 turns after dealing heavy damage to a single enemy (cannot apply Invincibility to himself)
He likes to talk with Caster Gil and Archer Gil about their past, going to Ko Gil on occasion. He helps look after the child Servants, and he can often be found reading bedtime stories to them
(Everyone was scared of him at first once they found out who he was, so he usually held off revealing his True Identity)
Barbatos, at first glance, seems like an Archer...but in reality is an Assassin
(HE CONTROLS TIME FOR F*S SAKE)
His Noble Phantasm, depending on the enemy selected, can revive a fallen ally and add them to the Sub Team
(This is only if the enemy that killed the ally is selected)
This stuns him for 3 turns no matter what
He likes to chat with the Tamamo that helps EMIYA in the kitchen. How the two are communicating without issues is up to anyone’s guess

The 21 Club, often simply 21, is an American traditional cuisine restaurant and former prohibition-era speakeasy, located at 21 West 52nd Street in New York City. The Bar Room includes a restaurant, a lounge and, as the name implies, a bar. The walls and ceiling of the Bar Room are covered with antique toys and sports memorabilia donated by famous patrons. The best known feature of 21 is the line of painted cast iron lawn jockey statues which adorns the balcony above the entrance. In the 1930s, some of the affluent customers of the bar began to show their appreciation by presenting 21 with jockeys painted to represent the racing colors of the stables they owned. There are 33 jockeys on the exterior of the building, and 2 more inside the doors.
‘21’ Club debuted America's original gourmet hamburger in 1950. It was cooked in duck fat, spiked with fennel seeds, and sold for a whopping $2.75 in an era of five- and 10-cent hamburgers. In dollar-adjusted value, that price is equivalent to over $25. The price today is $36, although the preparation has changed significantly — the current version of the ‘21’ Burger is closer to a classic hamburger, with a pickled relish and served on a brioche bun with fries on the side.
Belphegor had chosen this location (through Dean’s aid) because it served one of the best burgers in New York City while also being fancy enough that it might actually seem worthy of her. They rented out the whole restaurant for their date with Cupid, though that wasn’t to say that the rest of the restaurant would be empty. In fact, they made sure the whole restaurant would be full of loving couples. With Chastity’s help, they conducted numerous interviews with thousands of couples to make sure the restaurant would be full of only the most loving couples, so Cupid could be surrounded with a large amount of love and energy. After she finished breaking Lucifer and Levi’s curses, they imagined she would need something uplifting like that to energize her.
Once the restaurant owners understood what Belphegor was trying to do (and with a significant sum of money), they allowed Belphegor to decorate the restaurant however Belphegor wanted to. They planned out a design with Chastity’s help, but ultimately, most of the work was done by Belphegor themself. At the table Belphegor had designated as the one for their date, there were four chairs. In one of the chairs was a giant stuffed animals sloth, and in the chair opposite to it, there was a giant stack of boxes of chocolates. They put Cupid’s favorite flowers on all of the tables. Chastity had helped with that part. The flowers were actually from Cupid’s shop, but Chastity had told her that they were for a wedding. She’d even invented a pretend couple with pretend personalities to make the ruse more believable, ensuring Belphegor that Cupid had no idea the flowers were for her gift. There was one additional bouquet that Belphegor picked out themself for their table in particular. It wasn’t as cleanly or beautifully designed as the other flower arrangements, but they’d wanted to try their own hand at it too to show how much they were willing to do for her. They hung up decorations, and they cleared out some tables to make some room for a small dance floor and a stage for a band. They invited Snoop Dog, since he seemed to know a lot about love, and Bryson Bernard, who made the Cupid Shuffle and named himself after Cupid.
Belphegor was in their more confident form, dressed in a pink suit. There was a lot more effort put into their appearance this time. Their clothes weren’t oversized or wrinkled and were clearly tailored to Belphegor. Their shoes were actually tied, and their hair was neatly styled and combed. Chastity took several pictures of them in various spots both in the restaurant and out of it, along with pictures of the venue itself before she left Belphegor to wait on their date on their own.
Belphegor waited patiently at their table for Cupid to come and just entertained themself by listening to all the couples around them and watching how they interacted with each other in an attempt to understand how to be a better date for Cupid. They apparently had plenty of time for it since it was well over an hour since they’d asked Cupid to meet up with them. They hadn’t originally told her where she needed to go when they’d met up with her that morning. At the time, they’d focused more with supporting her and trying to instill her with confidence in herself. They’d brought her breakfast and kissed and bit her neck just like Dean had told them. They told her that they’d text her the directions of where to meet them once the time came for them to celebrate her birthday, so it could still stay a surprise to the very end. Then, they’d just left her to her work, so they didn’t distract her for too long. Maybe that interruption was part of why she was late, but it didn’t bother them too much. What she was doing was important, and they were proud of her no matter how long it took.
An hour started to turn into several hours, but they were still confident that Cupid would show up. “She’s coming,” they assured the staff of the 21 Club when they came to comfort Belphegor, apologizing for Cupid not being there. “She’s just running a little late is all.” They all gave Belphegor a look of pity, which they didn’t understand, and left them to continue waiting. Several people approached them like this as the hours went on. Nearly all of the couples thanked Belphegor for paying for their meals. They all assured Bells that even though this ‘didn’t work out,’ they’d still find the one someday. Belphegor didn’t know what they meant by that and primarily elected to ignore those kinds of comments altogether. There were starting to be fewer and fewer couples in the restaurant anyways, so they wouldn’t have to hear it for much longer.
Maybe she doesn’t really like you as much as you think she does, spoke the Void. Belphegor ignored them just as much, if not more. They might not have understood love that well yet, but they knew more than they did before. They were confident in the fact that Cupid loved them. She’d said it multiple times, and they’d always believe her. They knew, just as strongly, that they loved her too. It added to their resolve to stay here and wait for her no matter how long it took.
Another hour passed. All of the couples Belphegor had invited were gone now, replaced with other customers so the restaurant could keep its business going. Bryson had left too, and Snoop Dog had spent the past half hour sitting with Belphegor. “What I’m saying is fuck bitches.”
Belphegor nodded, not understanding what he was talking about but just agreeing with him. “Fuck bitches,” they repeated.
“Exactly!” He nodded and sighed. “Aight, I better get going. I’ve got another gig in an hour, but it was cool kickin’ it with you.”
“Fo shizzle,” Belphegor grinned, quoting what he’d often said to them. “I’ll tell you how it goes once Cupid gets here and we finish our date.”
Snoop Dog sighed and waved them off before taking off. “See you later, kid.”
“Bye!” they called after him and continued waiting for Cupid.
Eventually, it got to the point where it was near the time for the restaurant to close up. One of the waiters came out to talk to Belphegor. “So she still isn’t here yet?” he asked. Belphegor shook their head. “Well, you better order now, or you won’t be able to anymore. I can’t get her to show up any sooner, but what do you want to eat?”
Belphegor glanced over at Cupid’s empty seat. They didn’t want to order without her, but at this point they had to. “I’ll have the Speakeasy Steak Tartare, the 21 Burger, and the 21 Express.” They’d decided hours ago what they wanted to eat, but they just picked something for Cupid based on what they knew she liked. She would’ve wanted the burger, and the last thing was a dessert they could share once Cupid got here. The waiter went off to the kitchen to put in their order, and Belphegor continued waiting. After several minutes, Cupid still wasn’t here, so they sent her a text. They’d sent her several already.
[Sent 5:02 PM]: Hey, here’s the directions. [Link attached] [Sent 6:33 PM]: Don’t worry about being late. I’m still here. Take your time :) [Sent 8:21 PM]: In case you get here in the next minute or two, I’m just going to the bathroom really quick. I didn’t leave you, I promise. [Sent 10:49 PM]: They said I had to order now, so I just ordered for you. I hope that’s okay, but we can pick up something else somewhere else if you don’t like it.  [Sent 11:24 PM]: I hope things are going okay for you. I know you can do it! And if you need anything, just let me know. [Unsent 11:25 PM]: I lov
They closed their phone as the waiter arrived with their food. Belphegor thanked them, and they went off to help other tables. They waited a few more minutes, just in case Cupid got there, but in the end, they couldn’t hold back from eating their own food. They managed to finish it all, and Cupid’s food still remained untouched. As it got closer to closing time, it became clear that she wasn’t going to make it in time to eat her food at the restaurant. Belphegor asked for a to-go box, and put both her food and their dessert away. They at least had enough decency to not eat dessert without her. Still, they waited. They waited until the restaurant wouldn’t let them wait anymore.
“I’m sorry she stood you up,” said their waiter. “But honestly, with as much as you did, if she stood you up, she doesn’t deserve you.”
Belphegor scowled. “She deserves everything!” they snapped. “And you don’t know anything about her.”
The waiter held up their hands defensively. “Okayyy, but you still need to go. We’re closing for the night. I’ll have someone help you carry your things out, and you can wait outside for her if you want, but we’ve got to finish cleaning here.” Belphegor sighed, calming down a little to do what the waiter asked. The remaining staff carried their things outside, and Belphegor sat on the steps to the restaurant, still waiting.

Beauty and the Geek
requested Sequel to Chemistry Hell.  Nalu High school AU
The reminder on her phone goes off and Lucy looks at the clock on the library’s wall.  “Time for me to get to practice,” the young blonde stands up from the table and smiles at her friends, “I’ll see you guys tomorrow.”  She grabs her back pack and slings it over her shoulder, then places a hand on Natsu’s arm, “but I’ll call you tonight right, so I can double check my homework for Chem?”
“Sure,” the boy smiles back, “I’ll be home all night so you can call whenever.”
She lets her hand linger and slide a little along his arm, “Thanks!”  Lucy waves as she walks away, “bye guys!”
“Bye Lucy,” Natsu waves, but when he turns back to their group of friends, they’re all grinning.  “What?”  He looks around, “why is everyone staring at me?”
“Why didn’t you give her a kiss goodbye,” Gray teases, even throwing in the fake smooching sounds.
“Or offer to walk her to practice,” Levy chimes in with a wiggle of her eyebrows, “you know, hold her hand the whole way.”
Natsu’s face flushes, “t-that’s not the kind of relationship… we-we’re just friends!”  He shakes a fist at Gray, “and who are you to talk when you still haven’t got up the courage to talk to Juvia!”
Gray Fullbuster was Natsu’s defacto best friend, frenemy, depending on the day.  The dark-haired young man had grown up with Natsu and if he’d really wanted to pass for popular, Gray probably could have pulled it off but, the cool-headed young man had never been fond of too much attention.  Besides he was shy, hence the reason he hadn’t managed to make a move yet.  Juvia Loxar was one of the top swimmers in their school and even though he was sure she liked him too, Gray always clammed up around her.
“Tch,” Gray flips off Natsu.  “I will eventually.”
Ever since that moment in the diner, Natsu and Lucy had grown very close.  Their friends teased when one or the other wasn’t around because that vision was becoming a distant memory.  During most breaks at school the pair would hang out with or without their friends.  Calls and text messages had become a nightly occurrence.  So, they had a lot in common and liked each other’s company, what was the big deal?
Football season was starting up and Lucy was getting busier.  Between practices and games both home and away, she and Natsu took whatever chances they had to hang out or chat.  Thanks to texting, he made the long bus rides more tolerable for her.  Sometimes she would hear the other girls snickering, but she paid them no attention.  A couple of them even asked if it was a boyfriend on the other end and she’d just laugh and change the subject.
It was true, her and Natsu looked like they were becoming an item, that was hard not to notice.  Deep down she hoped that someday they could be a couple, but Lucy’s wasn’t in a rush and Natsu didn’t seem to be either.  That being said, it was the time of year when couple activities were going to be happening, like prom.  She’d be lying if she didn’t hope that Natsu would ask her.  He would look quite handsome in a tux and she on his arm in a ball gown.
The game against Lamia High had finally come to an end.  It was a close one, but Fairytail managed to pull it off at the end with field goal to win the game.  As everyone packed up their gear and readied to get on the bus, the captain of the football team, Jackal Noroi approached her.
“Yo, Lucy!”
She turns around, “oh, um hi Jackal.  Can I help you with something?”
“Yes, you can!” He grins and leans against the exterior of the bus, “by becoming my date for the prom.”
“Oh,” Lucy tucks her hair behind her shoulders, “I kind of, already have other plans.”
Jackal’s face goes from a cocky grin to annoyance in zero seconds flat.  “You ain’t gonna tell me it’s with that Dragneel nerd.  Why the hell would you pick him over me?”
“I’m sorry, I haven’t made a decision yet so I can’t say it’ll be him or not.  But Natsu is a really nice guy and we get along.”
“Tch!” he pounds his fist against the bus.  “I can’t believe I’m being turned down but whatever!”
Lucy was shocked at how angry Jackal could be over something like this.  She just watches as he storms away towards his buddies.  Oh well, regardless of Natsu or not, Lucy never really cared for Jackal.  His attitude was too cocky for her tastes, and he had a reputation for just trying to take advantage of girls.  But just because he was the quarterback and star player, girls still fawned over him.  Most of Lucy’s fellow cheerleaders would have thrown themselves under the bus to be asked to prom and she’d just turned him down.
Needless to say, the bus ride home wasn’t exactly comfortable.  Lucy could feel the daggers levied at her back by everyone.  She did her best to ignore it, comforted by Natsu’s messages.  Of course, she didn’t want to tell him what had happened and acted normal, just letting him know how the game went.  They also chatted about homecoming which was in a couple of weeks.  She’d be cheering at the game, but afterwards, maybe they and their friends could go out for karaoke or something fun.
She tries her best to put the incident behind her.  At practices, she did what she had to do and would leave before anyone had the time to question her.  Though it didn’t seem like they cared about her side of the story.  Lucy was starting to really see why Natsu had labelled her in the beginning because it seemed once the others began associating her with the nerdy kids, they’d started to treat her differently too.
These cliques were such a stupid thing.  And stereotypes….  Lucy was starting to believe they sometimes existed.
Homecoming arrived soon enough, and it was gearing up to be epic.  With Phantom High as the opposing team, everyone was raring to go.  From the guys on the field to the cheer squads and bands, emotions even ran high with the fans battling it out to see who could be better, louder, tougher.  The Fairies needed to win on their hometown turf, or they’d never live it down till next year.
In the stands Natsu and the rest of their friends had all shown up to support their school.  They had gone early enough to get seats near the cheer section because Natsu wanted to be closer to Lucy.  She’d finally broken down a few days ago about some of the taunting she’d received, and he wanted to make sure if it happened tonight, they could do something about it.  So far, so good.  With everything going on around them, the cheerleaders were too busy keeping the crowds electrified to worry about little squabbles.
And Lucy looked so beautiful.  Natsu could care less about the football game choosing to watch her instead.  The short skirt she wore and tight vest top.  Her hair up in adorable pig-tails.  A bright smile making her eyes sparkle.  His heart almost jumped out of his chest when she’d waved at him during half time.
“Natsu do you want something from the concession stand?”
She was really good at all the cheers, staying on point, and doing her part during the pyramids and other… whatever you called routines.  He wondered what had made her get into cheerleading.  It wasn’t a question he’d asked Lucy before, maybe he’ll ask her later.
“Oi!” Gray slaps Natsu on the back.
Natsu turns to his friend.  “What?!”
“Levy’s been trying to get your attention, that’s what!”
“Oh,” Natsu blushes and pushes his glass back up.  He turns to the girl, “sorry, Levy.”
Levy laugh’s and winks, “it’s fine.  I could see you were focused on someone.  Would you like something from the concession stand, I’m gonna grab a drink?”
The tinge of pink deepens along his cheeks and the tips of his ears.  “I’m okay, thank you.”
Finally, the last seconds were ticking down on the clock.  Everyone was on their feet watching as Ezel, a lead Tailback, sails the ball towards the awaiting Jackal who was open and nearest to the goal.  Phantoms defensive team was heading toward him as well at a rapid pace, but the Fairies Guards and Tackles were keeping them at bay.  You could have heard a pin drop when Jackal barely caught that ball on the tips of his fingers, cradled it and ran the few yards for a touch down!
The crowd erupts!  Screams and shouts echo in a wave from the bleachers!  The cheerleaders whopping and hollering for the team stir even louder shrieks from the fans.  The Fairies had won by 12 points!  Jackal and the rest of the team pile back towards the sidelines, high-fiving, and congratulating each other for the job well done.
When Jackal reaches the cheer squad he walks straight up to Lucy and grabs her around the waist, lifting her off her feet.  “See baby girl, you sure you still wanna turn me down?  I’m the MVP of the school for crying out loud!”
“C-Congratulations on the win,” Lucy sputters, all the while turning her head to avoid his oral advancements “but please Jackal, put me down.”
He growls and drops her to the ground, “you still won’t say yes!  What the hell is wrong with you?!  Do you have any idea how many girls would kill for my attention?!”
Lucy staggers back and manages to keep her footing before falling.  “I know, and I’m sorry but you’re just not my type!”
“And a fucking nerd is?!”  Jackal rages, “Dragneel is a fucking four-eyed virgin nobody!  He’ll never be anything more than a pencil pushing loser!”
It’s at this point others from both the cheer squad and football team start surrounding Lucy.  Emboldened by Jackal, they shout taunts of everything under the sun at her, about Natsu, just nasty names.  Lucy’s friends all rush down behind her as well, with Natsu stepping in front between her and Jackal in an effort to shelter her.
“Back off,” Natsu yells at the imposing football player who stood taller, especially when you added the muscle that he had backing him.  “J-Just leave Lucy alone, she said she’s not interested in you!”
Jackal cackles and points a finger into Natsu’s chest, pushing the quieter boy backwards.  “And what are you gonna do about it, nerd!?”  He narrows his eyes, “You ain’t no match for me, I’m gonna win this battle one way or another!”
“Please, let’s just get out of here,” Lucy begs.  Her hands on both of Natsu’s shoulders, cringing.  Their friends are also pulling on him, knowing this was getting ugly.  If the other football players were to jump in, they’d be no match.
Luckily at that moment, the coaches swing into action and pushes the group apart, yelling at everyone to disburse or risk suspensions.  Natsu was furious but his friends were right.  In a one-on-one fight he might have a chance, but he doubted that Jackal or his buddies would play fair.  He turns around, grabs Lucy’s hand and they immediately leave the stadium with their friends in tow.  Their plans had been to go out bowling after the game, but no one was in any mood for entertainment.
Everyone heads out in their separate ways agreeing to meet up during the weekend when things had settled down.  But for Lucy, she didn’t want to go home yet, so Natsu takes her back to his house.  Thank goodness his parents were understanding of the situation and allowed them to be alone in his room together, with the door cracked open.
Lucy sobbed into Natsu’s chest and he did the only thing he could think of, holding her tightly and rocking gently.  His mom brought them some tea, hoping it may help to calm the young girl, but it was to no avail.
“Cheer is over for me,” she mumbles through her broken tears, “I can’t go back.  They were all so horrible!  I’m sorry Natsu… I’m so sorry…  I see why you’d thought I was a bitch when we first met…”
“Shhh, Lucy, it’s okay, it’ll be okay…”
“No, it’s not!  You were right.  All the cheerleaders are wretched people!  And those jocks are so disgusting, I hate them!”
“Lucy, don’t say that.”  As much as he wanted to agree and shout, ‘I told you so,’ Natsu knew that would only make things worse.  “You proved that it’s not always true, not everyone is bad.”
“But they all jumped in and started taunting us.”
“I was wrong to assume a stereotype applies to everyone, and I don’t want you to fall down that same path. You’re better than that.  Better than them.”  He tips her chin up, staring down with a serious expression.  “Promise me you won’t be like that kind of person.”  Holding Lucy’s head against his chest again.  “It’s really my fault you’re in this mess, if you’d never met me, you’d still be living carefree with your old friends.”
“Please don’t say that Natsu.”  Lucy sighs.  “I’m glad we met cause now I know those so-called friends weren’t really friends after all.  You and Levy, and the others are so much better than they are.  If only that asshole would have just left me alone.”  She throws her hands up, “I don’t even understand why Jackal was so desperate for me to go to prom with him.  I’ve never, ever, ever, given him a reason to think I’d be interested.  I swear it’s like he’s jealous or something.”
Natsu chuckles, “Noroi?  Jealous?  Of what, me?  I doubt that.”
“But exactly!  He could get practically any girl he wants, why pick me?”  Lucy sits up.  “Natsu the only way it makes sense is he’s mad that I turned him down for a… a…”
“Nerd.”
“I didn’t wanna call you that,” she blushes.
“It’s okay,” he laughs, “it is what it is cause I am a nerd.”
“Maybe I shouldn’t even go to prom,” her body deflates, “I’d rather not deal with them again if I don’t have to.”
“You shouldn’t let them stop you Lucy.  If you really wanna go, then go.”
“But I don’t have a date…” she peers up through her lashes, biting the corner of her lip.
He gulps, “Would you go to prom with me?”
“Yes!”  She throws her arms around his neck, hugging him tight.  “You’re the only one I’d wanna go with.”
The night of the prom couldn’t come soon enough for the young pair.  Lucy’s father was nice enough to send them off in a limo after having professional photos taken at her home.  It all made Natsu very nervous, but Lucy did her best to keep him calm.  “Don’t worry about my dad.  He is tough, but if he didn’t approve of you, I’d never would have been able to hang out with you.”
“Okay.”  That was good to know, though it didn’t really help.  Mr. Heartfilia was an imposing figure.  He was tall, though not a very big guy, Natsu’s own father was larger and more intimidating in size, but this man, the vibes he just gave off sent warning bell’s in Natsu’s mind.
The one thing keeping his mind off of anything else was the beautiful young woman gracing his arm.  Lucy had spared no expense on her dress, choosing a full length, salmon-colored satiny crepe that flowed along her body, hugging and pulled in to highlight her curves.  The bust area was beautifully cinched to cover her bosoms, leaving just the tops revealed, and held up by inch-wide straps that haltered around her neck.  But that wasn’t even his favorite part.  The dress was open backed, cut down to a V that began right at her waist, and flowing over her rear like a gorgeous waterfall.  It didn’t even bother him that the color was so close to his hair color.  In fact, it made him proud that she’d chosen it.  When they walked into that ballroom, Natsu felt like the luckiest man in the world.
They find their group of friends, settling in with drinks and appetizers at a set of tables, just listening to the music and chatting.  This was the first formal dance he’d ever been to, so Natsu was already nervous because of that.  It didn’t help that it felt like there were eyes watching him, Jackal and his football cronies on the other side of the room, just glaring.  He really couldn’t understand the guys problem when he had a beautiful date of his own.  Seilah was another cheerleader with Lucy, and very pretty.  Why did Jackal desire Lucy so badly?  Gray suggested it was about power and coveting what he couldn’t have.  Whatever the reason, it was all ridiculous.
An hour into the schedule, the friends were having so much fun talking, they didn’t notice what was going on at the prom until they heard a loud voice over the microphone.  The Principal, Makarov Dreyar stood on the stage ready to announce who that years Prom King and Queen would be.  No one in the group really cared because they figured none of them had a shot.  So, there was no surprise when Jackal was named Prom King.  The guy was an asshole, but he was popular because of his football prowess.
“And for your Queen, Lucy Heartfilia!”
“What?!” Lucy blurts out in shock from the turn of events.  “Why would anyone vote for me?!”  The prom king and queen were voted on at the entrance by the students.  She was sure that with the whole football team and cheerleading squad incident, and the fact that they were the popular clique of the school, one of them would win.  Besides the last thing Lucy wanted to do was have anything to do with Jackal.
She sees Makarov waving at her to come up to the stage to receive her crown.  At first, she tries to shake her head, but he gives her an annoyed look.  Did Jackal get his friends and other to vote so they’d end up winning together?
“You should go,” Natsu mumbles, doing his best not to look upset.  “Everyone’s watching, and it’s just formalities.”
“Really?”  Maybe, Natsu was right.  Just because she was voted prom queen didn’t mean she had to associate with Jackal in anyway.  The faculty crowns them, takes a photo for the yearbook, and sends them on their way.  She’ll just get this over with quickly.  “Oh-kay.”
Lucy throws on a fake smile for the camera as they go through the motions of the ceremony.  A crown, a bouquet, a picture.  She tries to keep a slight distance between her and Jackal, not wanting to be touched ever again by the creep.  As soon as the picture is taken and they are told that they can leave the stage, Lucy flees before Jackal tries anything.
Natsu watches it all from their table, his eyes zeroed in on the football quarterback.  It was obvious that Jackal was looking for an opportunity to make a move, but luckily for Lucy, the Principal was rushing through the ceremony and not giving the man a chance to get close.  As soon as Lucy leaves the stage however, Jackal follows her.  Midway between their table and the stage, he grabs her elbow to stop her.  Natsu tosses his glasses onto the table and stands up immediately.
“Let me go Jackal, I’m trying to get back to my date.”
“It’s tradition the King and Queen have a dance.”
“The principal never said anything about that, you’re making it up.”
“Look woman, that’s just how it works, now let’s go!”
Lucy yanks her arm away from Jackal’s grip, “No!”
At that moment, Natsu rushes up, pushing Lucy behind him and acts as a shield.  He narrows his eyes and levies a glare at the football star.  “Leave her alone Jackal, she said no, and no means no.”
Jackal growls, “you stupid fucking nerd,” he grabs Natsu below the lapels and yanks him forward.  “Just know you asked for his!”  Jackal seethes, swinging and punching Natsu in the jaw before he has time to block.
It rocks Natsu for a split second, damn the guy could punch!  Jackal swings again, but this time he’s able to block and pushes the man back.  “Drop it, you, asshole, or I’ll have to hit back!”  Natsu didn’t like fighting at all, but with a burly father who loved to wrestle, he was taught a few things.  He squares up, ready for Jackal’s next move.
That sends Jackal into hysterics, “a fucking nerd is trying to stand up to me?!  Now I’m really gonna put you on your ass!”  He swings again, but this time Natsu sways to the side, dodging the straight punch, and sends an uppercut of his own, catching the other man directly under the chin, knocking him off his feet.  He may be a nerd but also worked out to keep fit.
An audible gasp hits the room.  A nerd just knocked the football quarterback on his ass!
Jackal roars and jumps to his feet, launching himself at Natsu.  He throws another punch, which Natsu again tries to dodge, but the man’s knuckles graze his chin with half the power of a full landed punch.  It stings, but nothing like the first punch.
Despite taking the small hit, Natsu still manages to grab Jackal by the shoulders as he moves past in the momentum, pulling the man’s torso down, while bringing his own knee up into the guys abdomen.  He lands just below the solar plexus enough to knock the wind out.  Jackal doubles over, and Natsu drops him to the ground.
By this time, the football coach Mr. Clive had rushed over and grabs the crazed Jackal, standing him up, and pinning his arms to his sides.  Jackal screams to be released, but they ignore him, and the coaches grip just tightens around his arms.  The larger adult has no problem keeping Jackal restrained.  Principal Makarov has also arrived by this point.  “Take him to the office right now and call the cops,” the principal tells the coach, “I’ll be there in a couple minutes.”
Once the coach takes away the screaming man, the principal turns to Natsu.  “Are you okay Mr. Dragneel?”
Natsu massages his jaw which was starting to throb, “I’ll be okay.”
“Are you okay Ms. Heartfilia?” Makarov asks the girl who’s also inspecting her date for marks.
Lucy nods, “I-I’ll be okay.”
“I saw Jackal provoke this and throw the first punch, so you’re not in any trouble for defending yourself Mr. Dragneel.  But, Monday after school I want you both to come to my office so I can take a full report.  Is that understood?”  They both nod their heads.  “Good, enjoy the rest of your evening kids.”
As Makarov walks away, Lucy and Natsu’s friends rush over and a circle slowly forms around the pair. Other’s gather as well, including a few of Jackal’s own friends, and some of the cheerleaders with a mix of concern and congratulations for beating the bully.  Apparently, they’d acquiesced to the man’s behavior out of fear because he was the quarterback, but it didn’t mean they approved of it.  Seeing a nerd like Natsu stand up to the guy and was winning the fight made them realize how wrong it was to ever put up with Jackal’s attitude to begin with.  Apologies were made to both Lucy and Natsu over the homecoming game incident.
“We hope you’ll stay on the team,” Kyoka places a hand on Lucy’s shoulder.  “You’re a damn good cheerleader, and we wouldn’t want to lose you.”
Lucy flinches back unsure, but Natsu puts his arm around her waist and coaxes her forward with a relaxed look of approval.  “I don’t know…” she murmurs, “if Jackal is still on the football team it might make me uncomfortable.”
“I doubt they’ll let him stay, might even expel him for fighting,” Tempeter, one of the cooler-headed football jocks chimes up.
“I think you should stay on the team,” Natsu adds with a sweet smile, “you love cheering, so I’d hate to see you not do it.”
“You really think so?” Lucy questions.
“Yeah,” Natsu’s grin widens, “besides, I’ll always be at the games to keep an eye out.”
That brings a smile back to Lucy’s face.  She turns to Kyoka, the head cheerleader.  “Okay, I’ll stay on.”
“Great.  See you at practice,” the woman smiles and walks away.
After a few more minutes the crowd begins to disburse, leaving just the group of friends alone again.  They return to their table.  What a night this had been, and there was still another hour to go till it was officially over.  The whole ordeal had been exhausting, mentally and physically.
“How is your chin feeling,” Lucy questions Natsu.  The area was red but at least it didn’t look too swollen.
Natsu touches his chin in a couple of places.  “Tender, but I’ll just throw some ice on it when I get home.”
“I’m sorry you got caught up in all that Natsu,” shame evident in her soft tone.
He cradles Lucy’s cheek, softening his expression.  “No apologies Luce, none of this was your fault.  Jackal is a bastard that threw a tantrum when he didn’t get his way.”
“But you got hurt because of it…”
“And I’d do it all again to protect you.”
Lucy smiles and leans into his hand, turning her head to place a kiss into his palm, and places her own hand over his.  “I’m really glad chemistry class lead to another type of chemical reaction.”
Natsu chuckles at her pun.  “I couldn’t agree more…”

Here’s my first offering for Obey Me week.
Chapter 16 spoilers... sort of, so be aware if you’re not that far into the story. A snippet from a longer piece I’m working on.
2161 words
If you choose to read, thank you, and I hope you enjoy.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
              With a nod to the demon butler, she stepped through the door and into the past. It was strange, walking through the gray mists, but she could see the shape of a door up ahead.
               She put a hand on the knob and pressed her ear to the door, but she couldn’t hear anything on the other side.
               Barbatos had been clear in his warning – do not be seen.
               A deep breath, and she opened the door softly, blinking a little in the bright light inside the room.
               Mammon’s room.
               Where brothers two through six stood chattering, congratulating themselves on leaving her alone with Lucifer.
               “Oh shit,” she swore quietly, Barbatos’ words loud in her mind.
               Asmo turned, his eyes wide.
               “What are you doing here? You’re supposed to be getting closer with Lucifer! Get back out there before he realizes you’re gone!”
               “Yeah, Maeve,” Beel added, taking her by the shoulders and turning her around. “This is to help you reach your goal.”
               He pushed out the door unceremoniously, patting her on the head before closing it quietly behind her.
               She leaned against the wall, breathing heavily.
               “That was close. Barbatos, why do you have a door into Mammon’s room?”
               She shook herself and started walking down the hall, toward the stairs that would take her to the attic.
               She was nearing the library when she heard voices again, this time Lucifer and herself, discussing where all of the others had gone to.
               “Let’s go to Levi’s room,” Lucifer suggested. “This all started with him.”
               Crap and double crap! They’re gonna see me…
               Turning back toward the brothers’ rooms, she started walking as quickly and quietly as she could, looking for a place to duck out of sight.
               Her attention was drawn to the section Beel had shown her, back when they were searching for Luke.
               Almost of themselves, her fingers reached out to stroke the spot with the hidden phrase.
               “Lilith,” she whispered.
               A strange charge shot through her body.
               Suddenly, she was in Lilith’s room again, but it was different, somehow. Sheets weren’t draped over everything, and it felt lived in.
               She felt a strange twinge of sadness, but it wasn’t her own.
               The door opened and Levi walked in, wearing a gentle smile she’d never seen.
               “You should probably go find Belphie,” he said, reaching out to ruffle her hair. “Your game has been going on so long, who knows who’s supposed to be ‘it’ anymore, right?”
               The gamer demon smiled, and a feeling of mischievous happiness flowed through her. And again, they weren’t her own feelings. It was like she was an observer in her own body.
               Not-Maeve turned and headed out the open door.
               Maeve was in the House of Lamentation again. She concentrated, listening for Lucifer and past-Maeve, but heard nothing.
               “That’s weird. I wasn’t gone that long. Oh well.”
               She shrugged and turned in the direction of the stairs that led to the attic and hurried that way, focusing on getting to Belphie.
               She reached the bottom of the stairs, and heard steps coming down.
               Worse yet, she recognized the footfalls.
               Lucifer.
               Looking around quickly, she ducked under the stairs just as he reached the bottom steps.
               The eldest of the seven stopped, his shoulders slumped, and he sighed.
               “I wish you would listen to reason, Belphegor,” he muttered. “There’s no reason for you to hate them so. It’s not their fault.”
               He shook himself briefly, his back and shoulders straightening, once again the vision of pride, and left.
               Maeve breathed lightly until she could no longer hear his footsteps.
               “He must be talking about how Belphegor hates humans,” she spoke quietly to herself. “I’d like to know his reasoning for that, too. Maybe he’ll tell me.”
               With a shrug, she ducked out of her hiding spot beneath the stairs and headed up.
               The door to the attic room was closed, still locked.
               She reached out to touch it and felt another jolt, someone’s memory playing through her mind.
               Lucifer stood in front of Belphegor, confrontational.
               “You’re so different than you used to be, Lucifer,” Belphegor sneered. “You led an army in rebellion in Heaven. Now you’re nothing more than Diavolo’s lap dog. Bring that human to me, Lucifer. I’ll enjoy killing them. I’ll enjoy letting you watch me kill them. Then you can explain to Diavolo about why you lied to him.”
               The small muscles in Lucifer’s jaw tightened, but otherwise he looked unperturbed at his brother’s rant.
               He shook his head, once.
               “No, Belphegor. You need to let go of the past. You’ll stay here until you see reason.”
               He turned and left the room, walking past her, unseeing, the door locking behind him.
               Her body shuddered, and she looked into the room again.
               Belphegor was nowhere in sight.
               She pulled at the door, yanking her hand away in surprise when it opened.
               She entered the room slowly, treading lightly, until she could see a lump on the bed.
               Belphegor, asleep.
               She stopped at the side of the bed.
               “Belphegor,” she spoke quietly. “Wake up.”
               His eyes fluttered open at her voice, and he sat up.
               “You did it,” he whispered. “I didn’t think you’d be successful but look at you.”
               His small smile made her uneasy, and she took a step back as he stood up.
               “I’m truly impressed. I never thought a mere human would get even close to making pacts with all of my brothers.”
               He slid an arm around her waist, pulling her close. His other hand closed around her throat, a cruel glint in his eyes.
               “I’m grateful, Maeve, I really am. But you see, I have a promise to keep. I promised myself I would get revenge for my sister.” His fingers tightened inexorably, cutting off her oxygen. Spots appeared before her eyes, and her fingers scrabbled at the hand squeezing her neck.
               “You should be grateful, Maeve. You won’t live to see me destroy the human world. Call that my thanks for setting me free.”
               Her body shuddered in his grasp, her vision darkening. Someone else spoke through her mouth.
               “Belphie, no…”
               She saw a momentary flash of surprise in his eyes before the blackness took her.
                 It was the end of the dream again.
               Diavolo stood beside Lucifer, who cradled a woman’s – Lilith’s! – body in his arms, his expression broken.
               “I can save her, Lucifer, but you must swear your fealty to me, forever. Make your choice.”
               Barbatos stood to one side.
               “She won’t last much longer.”
               Silvery tears streaked down Lucifer’s cheeks, as he held Lilith close, bent to touch her forehead with his own.
               “No matter how far apart we may be, no matter how much time passes, even if someday you’re no longer yourself, I’ll never forget you. And I’ll always pray that you find happiness…always…I love you, Lilith.”
                 “Please, wake up. I need you to wake up.”
               Light and breath and sensation returned all at once.
               “Thank you,” the unfamiliar voice continued. “I’m sorry. I’ve been waiting so long for someone who could help my family. Waiting for you.”
               “Why me?”
               “Because you are my family, too. I’ve waited through all the distant generations, until someone could hear me. Of all my descendants, you are the first.”
               “And you couldn’t help?”
               “I can’t hold a corporeal form for long enough to have any real effect. Please, there’s not much time left. Please help them.”
               Maeve grimaced as she clambered to her feet, and then grinned at the spirit of the demons’ long-lost sister. Her own many-times-great grandmother, apparently.
               “That’s what I’m here for, isn’t it?”
               She couldn’t hear Lilith’s voice anymore, but she felt a gentle breeze across her face.
               “All right. Let’s do this.”
               She made her way to the stairs, descending them as quietly as she could.
               At the bottom, she could hear raised voices, arguing, but couldn’t make out any words.
               She crept slowly to the toward the entrance of the house, stopping at the top of the left-hand set of stairs that led to the front door.
               All seven demon brothers were gathered there, yelling.
               Her heart broke a little, seeing Mammon cradling her body and pleading with her to live. Lucifer and the others with whom she had pacts stood by helplessly.
               Belphegor was another matter. He laughed, seeing his brothers in pain. Especially Lucifer.
               Asmo, watching the life drain from the other Maeve, looked up toward the top pf the stairs, and gasped.
               That drew the attention of the rest of the demons.
               “Well, shit. There goes the whole ‘don’t let anyone see you’ part of this adventure.”
               Sighing, hoping this didn’t fuck things up too badly, she started down the stairs.
               As she walked, the body held by Mammon disappeared in a puff of smoke. He jumped up, mildly panicked.
               “No!” Belphegor yelled. “How is this possible. I killed you!”
               He moved toward her, his face a snarl.
               “Belphegor, stop!” Lucifer demanded, moving to intercept.
               “Wait.” Maeve faced Belphegor, unflinching.
               “Why should I?”
               “Because Lilith would want you to.”
               “How dare you say her name with your filthy human lips!”
               “She lived. She lived out her life as a human, with the man she loved.”
               Belphegor’s arm dropped.
               “You lie.”
               “No,” Lucifer shook his head. “That was the only way Diavolo could save her, by turning her into a human.”
               The eldest turned his attention to Maeve.
               “How do you know this?”
               “She told me.”
               “What?”
               “Since her mortal body passed away, she’s been here, watching over her family.”
               “How is any of this possible?” Satan demanded.
               At that moment, Diavolo and Barbatos arrived.
               “Because Maeve is a distant descendant of the human Lilith,” Diavolo explained.
               Lucifer was the first to recover from his shock.
               “And you know this how?”
               “Lord Diavolo and I have researched it. Once she was chosen as the exchange student, we began our search,” Barbatos answered.
               “The great Celestial War was many millennia ago,” Diavolo continued, “and human lives are very short, so I had to search far back into the mists of time. But there’s no doubt. Maeve is one of Lilith’s descendants.”
               “One of?”
               “As I said, Lilith the human lived long ago. Perhaps you can explain?”
               Diavolo looked to her.
               “Lilith told me that once her human lifespan ended, she remembered everything. She chose to come here, rather than return to the celestial realm, so that she could watch over all of you. She watched, unable to do anything, as you all drifted apart, cut yourselves further off from each other, and it broke her heart. She figured out, some time ago, that the only way to help  was to get one of human family members here, and started searching through all of her progeny, all over the world, until she finally found one of us who could hear her.”
               She grinned at Diavolo.
               “When Diavolo announced his plans for the exchange program, she knew she had to ensure that I would be brought here. So, the day you were looking through all the lists of possible exchange students,” she looked back to Lucifer, “you opened the window. A breeze gusted in, blowing the stack of papers all around your study. Except one. That one landed right at your feet.”
               “How do you know all of this?” Lucifer’s voice was quiet, his expression pained.
               “Lilith told me,” Maeve answered, then recited Lucifer’s last words to his sister.
               He gasped, took two steps forward, and enveloped her in his arms.
               “Thank you,” he whispered into her hair.
               The rest of the brothers joined in the hug, laughing and crying.
               “Perhaps you shouldn’t all mob Maeve at once like that,” Barbatos suggested.
               Maeve laughed.
               “It’s okay. This is no different from Friday night movie night.”
               After a moment, they all backed away.
               “This does explain that dream I’ve always had, though.”
               Diavolo tilted his head to one side.
               “Dream?”
               She nodded.
               “I was going to talk to you about it during the party, but never got the opportunity. All my life, I’ve had a dream. All of you are in it. It always starts with a war, and then falling. Then it’s Diavolo, Barbatos, and Lucifer, who was holding someone. I know now that that someone was Lilith. Diavolo takes Lilith, and that’s where the dream ends. That’s why, my first night here in the Devildom, I thought it was all just a continuation of the dream.”
               She shrugged.
               The group turned as one when they heard Belphgor gasp.
               Guilt and shock clear on his face, he turned away, heading up the stairs.
               Beelzebub moved to chase him, but Maeve reached out.
               “Let him be for now, Beel. He has some stuff to come to terms with. But, I promise, we’ll make it better.”
               “How?” the large demon wore a look of concern.
               “That’s what family does, right?”
              A slow smile crossed his face, and he wrapped her in a bear hug.
               “That’s right. Thank you, Maeve.”
Like footprints on the shore
Eruri week day 1. Prompt: reincarnation au.
This is my very first aot/eruri fanfic, hope you guys like it! (Keep in mind that English isn’t my first language. Also, I don’t know how to add a “Read more” link, I’m sorry >.>)
After many turns and hills, a car stopped in front of a two-floored villa on the top of a hillock near the sea. While the first floor was occupied by a small family, the second, made up of two different apartments, was still vacant. Or better, it wasn’t going to be anymore. A jet black haired man jumped off the vehicle taking his sunglasses off. It was a pretty hot summer day, and the sun was shining high in the sky, not a cloud to be seen, as if the weather reflected his mood: he had been waiting for that moment for years. After his loving mother Kuchel had moved to another country because of work, he had been living in a hovel with his cold and ruthless uncle, Kenny, until he left him too, but now, it was time for him to leave those times behind. Just like in his past life. Everything seemed to be the same, besides the era, the environment and people. Especially people: he still had to meet all of his old friends. He had always waited, hoping to see them again someday, but that day didn’t seem to come… or did it? Do they still remember me like I do? was the question that kept popping up in his mind every now and then. Even if some of his memories were fading away, most of them were still vivid. However, he was afraid of losing the most important one. He knew that one day, he was going to forget him, and he couldn’t do nothing about it. He just had to accept it. Before going upstairs, he greeted the family, which was having lunch in the garden right outside the house. The only man of the group, father of two young twin girls, stood up, walked towards him and shook his hand. “It’s been a long time, Levi. Do you-” Levi’s eyes widened. “Mike? That Mike? Is that Nanaba?” the shorter man moved to his side so he could see the blond woman, who waved at him with a gentle smile. “Yup. And those two little “brats” are our daughters, Lily and Rose. When you called for more info about the house, I immediately recognized your voice, and there aren’t many Levi’s around. So, do you need some help to move your stuff upstairs?” “Y-yes…” Hope filled Levi’s heart. “Maybe he remembers too” he thought. The men took all the bags and boxes out form the car and brought them in front of Levi’s new house and in the process Levi kept smiling inside, overjoyed by the thought of his past-life lover. “And… we’re done. Here’s the key. I gotta go back to eat, unless I want Nanaba to kill me. Just tell me if you need something else, okay?” “Sure, thanks a lot.” Levi opened the door after two clicks. The house wasn’t too big nor too small: on the right side there was a cozy living room with a small TV in front of a red sofa, and another door, which led to the smaller of the two bedrooms. On the left there was a table with four chairs, right in front of the kitchen. Lastly, two doors in the middle led to the bathroom and to the main bedroom. Before taking everything out of the luggage, Levi headed towards the kitchen to make some tea in order to regain some energy after the long trip. Not a spot could be seen on the furniture: how could Mike forget about Levi’s obsession? While his hands were busy placing stuff on shelves, his head was still in the clouds. “I can’t wait any longer. Where are you?”
“Hey, Mike.” “Yes, my dear?” “Does he know it yet?” “No, I first want him to settle in then I… Wait, maybe I don’t even need to tell him, he’ll discover it by himself.” “I can already see him crying… poor guy, he must have missed him a lot…”
A ray of sunshine hit Levi’s tired eyes. Surprisingly, he had slept a little bit more than usual. The day before had been pretty tiring and he really needed some rest. After getting up from the bed making sure not to mess it up, he went outside to take a breath of fresh sea breeze. Waves could be heard crashing against cliffs, the wind was blowing gently trough trees’ crowns and Levi’s hair, messing up his dark locks. The scenery reminded him of the first time he and his remaining comrades saw the ocean for the first time in their life and how empty he felt without his commander by his side. Even if he was living a new life, he was still “enjoying” the view alone. Sighing, Levi stepped back into the house to have breakfast. He filled a bowl with hot tea and waited for it to cool down a bit, staring at it blankly while stirring the drink with a spoon. His mind couldn’t help but think of the past: the day he joined the survey corps, or when he became captain, the moment he saw the person he cared the most about coming back from a battle without an arm and all the times he had spent with him like… like… Levi closed his eyes and furrowed his brows. Something prevented him from recalling what were the only happy memories of that nightmare of a life. He took a sip from the bowl. “I’m just tired. All I need is some tea and I’ll feel better.” Unfortunately, as days went by, remembering was getting harder and harder and Levi would usually pace around the house trying not to forget what had made him smile in the darkest times. Warm, desperate tears came down his eyes when he couldn’t recall his first kiss. He slammed a fist onto the table, acknowledging there was no way to stop what had started. Although, he decided to write down everything he could remember, so that it wouldn’t be lost forever.
A knock on the door brought Levi back to reality. It was Mike. “Hey Levi, Nanaba and I are going out with the kids and I don’t know what time we’re coming back, so I wanted to tell you that someone’s gonna come next-door soon. Please, give him a warm welcome, don’t make him feel uncomfortable and be nice. He’s a friend of mine and he rented the house for two weeks. I’m sure you two will get along.” “Alright, thanks for telling me.” Levi looked at his “pajama”, which only consisted of a pair of boxer shorts. It was 11pm and he was about to go to bed. “I’ll get ready in no time. See you later.” Levi spent the next thirty minutes dressing up and wondering who could it be, when a honk told him he was about to discover it. With a white, tight shirt and black pants, Levi left his house and went downstairs to meet the new guy. His car, a convertible, looked pretty expensive and the trunk and the backseats were full of suitcases. The door opened, revealing a tall and muscular blonde man with a roman nose and kind blue eyes. “Hi! Is this Mike Zacharia’s house? I’m Er-” Levi felt his heart stop. He walked slowly towards the man, looking at him right in the eyes. “-win Smith.” the shorter man completed the sentence. Silence was surrounding them, when the other broke it, stuttering some confused words before pronouncing four letters that meant the world for him. “Levi? I- You- I…” Levi stopped him again, pulling him by the shirt collar and kissing him with a fiery passion that had to wait other thirty three years to burn again. Erwin caressed Levi’s face with one hand and held him close with the other, happy to feel him between his arms again . Tears of joy fell down their cheeks. Neither of the two wanted to pull away, they felt like they could have stayed like that forever. The kiss broke only when both of them were gasping for air, hugging each other tightly. Erwin’s warm embrace made Levi smile like nothing else would. “I missed you, old man.” Levi was the first one to speak. “Where have you been all this time?” he asked with his head turned up to face the blonde. Unlike the kiss, their eye contact never broke “I should ask you that too. Well, I-” “Hey, stories can wait. I think we should bring all of your fancy suitcases upstairs first.” Erwin crossed his arms and faked a grumpy pout “Let me talk for once!”
“Wow, that was a lot of stuff you’ve brought with you. And you’re only gonna stay for… two weeks?” Levi’s voice tone dropped a little towards the end. “Yeah, at least that’s what I’ve planned…” Erwin knew he wouldn’t have let him leave so easily. “I think I can stay a little more. I gotta ask my boss first.” Levi sighed. “I see…You’ve never had free time, not even in this life. Ever thought of giving yourself a break?” Erwin chuckled at his words, the same words he had heard when he was a commander. They hadn’t changed a little. Levi had never stopped worrying about him and he had always put work before all else. They were sitting on the roof, above a wide terrace that linked their houses. All the lights were turned off and the only light source were the moon and the stars. Crickets were chirping in the background and some bats could be seen flying around, as if they were dancing to that fast-peaced melody. “…My parents are still alive and my current job is less stressing and tiring than being a commander. I also get paid a lot more than in my past life.” “Well, your life hasn’t been as shitty as mine. I used to be a bartender in a club, but, needless to say, moving here meant leaving my job. I still didn’t get to meet my father, my mother and uncle don’t remember anything and it took me over thirty years to meet you guys. But now…” Levi stopped for a second, tangled his hand in Erwin’s and rested his head on Erwin’s shoulder. “My wish has been granted. I’m back with you. You have no idea how much I’ve been waiting for this moment.” Levi leaned in to kiss him again briefly. “After you died, I thought I would never see you again, but I was wrong. Oh, now that I think about it, the last time we were together on a roof was when you died…” “Hey! Way to kill the mood man!” Erwin protested at Levi’statement laughing. Their hands were trapped one into the other and an hour had passed before the two climbed off the roof. “I guess it’s time to hit the hay…” Levi was about to enter his house when Erwin’s insecure voice stopped him. “Uhm…wanna join me? Just for tonight…” the shorty put on a sad look on his face. “Just for tonight? Aw, that’s too bad.” Levi walked in Erwin’s temporary house and took a quick look: it was a little bigger than his, but the arrangement of the furniture and the rooms was pretty much the same. He had checked out almost every room when he got in front of the door of the main bedroom and stopped for a second, before turning the handle: he knew what was going to happen once he had stepped in there and the thought of it made his heart beat faster than usual. As soon as the door opened, a king sized bed in the middle of the room welcomed him and his dirty thoughts. It was only a matter of seconds before they would have had “fun”. “Oh Levi, you forgot you pajama. Go back and-” Erwin, who had stopped by the kitchen to drink, entered the room, only to find out that his boyfriend was already in bed, apparently naked, wanting for him. “Don’t you want to put some clothes on? It’s pretty chilly tonight.” Levi rolled his eyes and invited Erwin to bed patting a hand on the mattress. “That’s why I need you next to me now. Hurry up and get your ass here.” “You know I don’t take orders from a subordinate.” Erwin started undressing slowly, knowing that Levi would have enjoyed the “show”. A shirt was thrown on the floor next to another one, followed by pants and underwear. Levi couldn’t help but staring while his cheeks and ears turned bright red. “Hey, my head is up here.” Erwin joked, lifting the shorty’s head with a finger. As soon as the blonde got under the covers, Levi climbed on the top of him and hugged him, covering his chest with light kisses. In the meanwhile, a hand was running up and down his back, making him slightly shiver. Catching him off guard, Erwin lifted Levi, who found himself with his back and hands pinned to the bed. He tried to break free from his grip, failing miserably. “You should also know that I hate insubordination.” “So what? Am I going to get punished or something?” Levi smirked, taunting the other man, who kissed him sinking his teeth into his neck, making him groan and arch his back. “I'll… take that as a yes… Ah!” The hands that were once around his wrists were now travelling around him, carefully following every curve. He could feel them brushing against his sensitive chest, waist and southernmost parts, sending him chills down his spine. Moans escaped Levi’s mouth as Erwin’s was working its way down his body. It had been way too much time since the last time they felt like this and the wait had only made everything better. Each time their bodies clashed against each other reminded them offer their old but still unbreakable bond, which had made them meet again in another life. Despite the pain, Levi managed to keep his legs tight around Erwin’s waist, wanting to feel the man deep inside him until his legs begged to stop. Not a word needed to be exchanged.
A clock ticked twelve times when Erwin opened his eyes and saw Levi, sleeping next to him with his hair all over his eye. He looked so relaxed that waking him up would have been a crime, Erwin thought. He had never seen him sleeping more than three hours and now. He could see his chest, still a little “dirty”, moving slowly along his breath. Erwin smiled at the peaceful view and decided to stay with him, playing with his sweaty locks between his fingers. “Ugh… stop it.” Levi slowly turned his back to him. “Morinin’ love. Did you sleep well?” Erwin hugged him from behind, kissing the back of his neck. “Don’t call me like that… What time is it?” “Midday.” The shorter man stood up yawning and rubbed his eyes before absorbing the answer. “Really? Well, I shouldn’t be surprised after what happened last night.” He looked down only to see his body covered in love bites and opalescence. “We really do need to take a bath, don’t we?” Erwin nodded in agreement and followed his lover to the bathroom. Levi stopped him in front of the door “Wait here, we gotta be ready for lunch in time. We’re eating at Mike’s.” “In the meanwhile, I’m going to make up the bed.” “Why do you even bother if we’re gonna mess it up anyway?”
A few minutes later, they were sitting at Mike’s table, together with the rest of the family. It seemed like none of them had heard anything. “They might be pretending… whatever” Levi thought while watching the twins eating. Suddenly, Rose, who was sitting next to him, stared at him right in the eyes with a devilish look on her face, then she got close to Levi’s ears and whispered something: “You guys had fun tonight?” “What?” the girl laughed “Don’t play dumb with me. I have my father’s nose and I noticed you smell different than usual. You smell like Erwin.” “I just had a shower, how-” “Are you underestimating our noses or what? Don’t worry, my dad has told me about you guys. He has always heard everything everytime.” The lunch proceeded smoothly, without any extra inappropriate comment, and the couple spent the whole afternoon with their friends. When they got back to their apartments, the sun was starting to set. Erwin got in his bathers and filled a bag with money, a book, and a towel. “You going to the beach?” “Me? We both are! C'mon, get ready and let’s go. You need to tan a bit, you look really pale. How long have you been living here?” “About two months. And… yeah, I’ve always stayed at home. I don’t like crowded places and the beaches here are usually full of people, especially brats. Also, how do you expect me to come with you with these bite marks all over my back and chest?” In the end, Erwin forced him to wear a t-shirt and go with him. Levi placed the towel on the sand so they could sit down without getting dirty. The sun was turning flame red in the rainbow colored sky. Before going back home, they went for a long walk along the shore, walking hand in hand as their footsteps were being erased by the waves. It was pretty quiet there, and Levi could enjoy the walk listening to the sound of waves instead of babies’ screaming. All of a sudden, Erwin bent over to pick a little stick up and write something on the sand: Erwin+Levi. “Tadaa!” Levi covered his face with a hand and chuckled “God, you’re so embarrassing. Hand me the stick.” He added a heart under the two names. “Now that’s cheesy.”
Erwin opened the fridge looking for something to eat: there was only some fruit, water and other drinks. Disappointed, he looked in Levi’s fridge. “What the hell are you doing with your face in my fridge?” Levi’s voice made him flinch and hit the head against the appliance. “There’s nothing in there, I’m going to the supermarket tomorrow. Go dress up, I’ll wait you in my car.” “Where are we going?” “To a restaurant, unless you don’t wanna starve.” With that being said, Levi left him alone. Erwin, once he heard Levi going down the stairs, took a look around the house. “Even in this life he’s a clean-freak… What’s that?” as soon as he entered the smaller bedroom, which seemed to be Levi’s, a bright green diary caught his eye. He repeated in his mind not to open it many times before curiosity took over him.
«I was born in the underground. My mother worked in a whorehouse and died because of her job and my uncle was an infamous killer. I had two friends, Isabel and Furlan, who both died after we joined the survey corps. I blamed Erwin, who eventually became my commander and lover, for that, and when I was about to kill him, he stopped my blade and gave me a reason to live: fighting for humanity, for my friends and, of course, for him. I wanted to help him follow his dream and ended up falling in love with him.»
«We first kissed…» The sentence was incomplete.
«I used to wear a black jacket, usually worn by someone else.» “By me, how can he not…”an unwanted thought appeared in his mind. Erwin kept reading.
«I used to go for a ride in the wood with my black horse.» “I would usually have dinner with Erwin, so that I could talk to him as lover, not a subordinate.»
«I loved him then. I love him still. Always have. Always will. That’s what really matters.»
“Oi! What is taking you so long?” the shorty shouted after waiting over ten minutes. “I was trying to take a shit, but it just won’t come out.” Erwin quoted him. While he bursted out a hearty laugh, Levi smiled, not really understanding what he thought being an inside joke. The town center wasn’t that far. The restaurant wasn’t full yet, but many people were already walking in the streets, under the yellow lights that brightened up the dark town, alone in the middle of a hill. Erwin and Levi took a sit in what was the only good restaurant. “You come here often?” Erwin asked the other man, skimming the menu. “”Not really, only when Mike and Nanaba do. I know what to order, how ‘bout you?” “I don’t. Give me a sec… Yeah, now I do. You know I’m paying, right?” “Yeah, and it would be useless if I tried to stop you.” “He still remembers this” “Just order whatever you want.” “Have you even read the prices?!” “Yep.” “Alright…” The food arrived in no time. Since the town was near the sea, the main ingredient was seafood. A delicious smell made their stomachs grumble in hunger: it was coming from a stew with mussels and a plate of pasta with clams and gurnar*. “Wow, fis is theliffious!” Erwin tried to say while chewing pasta. “How’s yours?” “Pretty good, first time I eat it.” Everything seems to go well, when Erwin unconsciously started staring at his almost empty plate, thinking of the diary. Part of him wanted to know whether his assumptions were right or wrong, while the other didn’t. “Is something bothering you?” Levi asked concerned. “No, nothing. I was only thinking of what to do after we’re done eating.” That answer didn’t satisfy him “Are you sure?” “Yeah, don’t worry.” “Why don’t we go on that cliff? There’s a gorgeous view up there.” Levi pointed at some stairs that led to a promontory on the sea.
“Hey, I can see my house from here.” “How-? Oh, right, you left the light on. You know you’re gonna pay another kind of bill, right?” Levi jokingly mocked Erwin and then winked at him. The two of them were sitting close to each other on a bench, fighting the cool night breeze. Levi shivered and put himself under Erwin’s arm, when the blonde moved it away from him. “Put it back here!” “Wait…” Erwin unravelled his white scarf and tied it around Levi’s neck like his old cravat. “There you go. Take it, I don’t really need it.” Because of the resemblance between the scarf and the cravat cut out from his mother’s old dress, Levi’s eyes teared up. “I…love it. It smells like you.” He leaned in to kiss him on the lips as a “thank you”. […] “I’ve had the time of my life with you, both last night and today.” Levi cuddle up next to Erwin with his head in the notch of the neck “Goodnight, my love.” “Goodnight, Levi.”
A week and a half had passed by, and the two lovers had never stopped enjoying each other’s presence, forgetting what was going to happen to their memory. They both decided to have fun and live it up as long and as much as they could, going out every now and then, pleasing the other, or just staying together, feeling their soulmate around them.
Eventually, one of them had to suffer. It was Erwin’s second last day of vacation. The night before, Levi had had a strong headache and preferred to sleep in his own bed. Now, he was sitting right outside his door, reading one of Erwin’s magazines. “Morning Levi! Felling better?” “Yes, don’t worry. Oh, by the way, I have something for you.” Levi took something from his wardrobe and handed it to Erwin. It was his scarf. “You gave it to me some days ago and I forgot to give it back to you, I’m sorry, Mr. Smith.” Erwin felt his world crumbling around him, but managed to smile. “You can have it, you look pretty good in it.” “Thanks, I love it.” The answer was the same, the feelings weren’t.
Not Quite Happily Ever After Ch2
Summary:  They meet again! XD Naturally Levi is less than thrilled about the whole thing. Also, a bit of Levi's background for y'all.
Author’s note: I hope I can continue to do this story justice.
Chapter 2
Levi was twelve when he discovered his sexuality.
Before then, he’d simply gone along with his family’s wishes, imagining what it would be like to someday marry and have children. He was determined to be a good King.
Until the day he stumbled upon two guards kissing. The men weren’t out in the open, but Levi didn’t usually stick to paths when he was walking around. Coming out of a few trees, he found them. The two were wrapped around each other, mouths and tongues entangled in a passionate kiss. He’d felt embarrassment for discovering them, but had been rooted to the ground by the scene before him, unable to move away.
As he watched, the one not pressed against the tree broke off the kiss and lowered to his knees, slowly undoing the pants of the other. The one still standing cried out as his cock was taken in the warm mouth. The sight of that long hard cock disappearing in the kneeling one’s mouth and the pleasure on the owner’s face had aroused Levi so much. He had his first orgasm simply from watching them.
A week later, he had his first kiss. He’d trapped one of the stable boys in a stall, saying he’d pay him if he kissed him. The kiss had been sloppy, but the feel of soft lips pressed against his own had caused waved of desire to go through his body.
When he was thirteen, his parents died. His uncle took over as Regent until Levi would be old enough to become King. The Prince learned to close himself off after that, to not let much of what he was thinking show. It earned him the titles of ‘cold’ and ‘heartless,’ but what did he care? Emotions just got in the way of things. He could rule just fine without them.
Right after his fourteenth birthday, he had sex for the first time. Because of his small size, he was forced to bottom. It hurt, and he could do nothing more than lay there and take it. Where was the rapture he’d seen on that one male’s face? Not long after, he claimed the same stable boy he’d first kissed, but topped this time. A discovered there was pleasure to be had after all.
Of course, people were always determined to break into his ‘cold’ heart, and many more simply wanted to force him to obey them. He fought hard against all these attempts. Sex would be on his terms, no one else’s. He’d been a little out of his league with the two men that day in the apple orchard, as much as he would never admit it. The boy that had saved him was much too young for Levi’s tastes, but he had aroused an interest in him nonetheless. The determination, the anger and passion, and those exotic blue green eyes. He’d told the male to find him when he was older simply because he wanted to see if there really was something there.
But that had been five years ago, and he hadn’t seen the male since. Now, at twenty-one, Levi had given up thinking he’d ever see him again. No doubt he’d been some brat just passing through. So with an annoyed, slightly disappointed sigh, he let any dreams of that go.
The door to his bedroom slammed open. “Rise and shine, Sleeping Beauty!” His Uncle came strolling in, grin on his face.
“I was awake.” Levi muttered, glaring at his Uncle. Kenny might have been there for him after his parents died, but to Levi he was just one big annoyance. “What do you want?”
“As demanding as ever, I see.” Kenny sat on the edge of the bed. “Levi… you’re twenty-one now.”
Levi gave him an expressionless look. “And?”
“And it’s time for you to take on the responsibilities of your kingdom. I can’t be your Regent forever, especially not now that you’ve come of age.” He paused. “You need a wife.”
That got the Prince to snort. “Need I remind you where my interests lie?”
“Yes, I know you prefer men. But you also know the law as well as anyone. You cannot marry another man.”
“You could change the law.”
Kenny gave him a look of disbelief. “Are you crazy? No one will ever go for that. I’d like to not have a riot on our hands, thanks.” He sighed. “You need to marry. And as it has it, the neighboring kingdom has an eligible Princess. I’m to meet with the King today to discuss a possible union.”
Levi’s mouth fell open. “You would arrange a marriage for me with someone I’ve never met?” That was low even for Kenny.
“To see this kingdom survive, yes. Be reasonable, Levi. You don’t have to like the girl. You just need to have a child with her.”
The Prince was speechless for several long minutes. He couldn’t even wrap his mind around the idea of having sex with a woman. “You don’t even like the Yeagers.” Theirs was the only kingdom that bordered theirs, so it had to be them Kenny was talking about. “Wait, they have a Princess? I’ve only heard about the heir.”
“I don’t like them, but I will deal with them. And yes, they do. She isn’t much talked about, since she isn’t inheriting. But she is a Princess, and is old enough to marry.”
Oh, Levi didn’t like that. Legal marriage age for Princesses was fifteen. “She’s fifteen??!” He saw the confirmation in Kenny’s face. “Kenny, she’s a child! I won’t do it.”
“She’s not that much younger than you. And you have to do this, for the survival of the kingdom. If it helps, she will be sixteen soon. That’s not so bad. I know you’ve taken males younger than that. Just think of one of them when you have sex with her. If you do it right, you’ll only need once to get her pregnant.”
Levi curled his lip at the distaste of the situation. Even thinking about a male, he didn’t know if he’d be able to get it up for her. Surely a female body felt different than a male’s. He grumbled, knowing Kenny wasn’t going to let this go. “No doubt she’s some proper Princess that freaks out at the sight of a little dirt or blood. Thanks ever so much.”
“You could do much worse. I’ll have your servants come in and wash and dress you. If everything at the meeting goes well, she will be returning with me later today as your betrothed. We’ll have a ball and announce it in three days time.”
“Fantastic.” The Prince muttered dryly. “I can hardly wait.” ……………………….. Unfortunately for Levi, the meeting went very well. The Princess did indeed return with Kenny, along with two personal assistants. They would serve her in place of any of Levi’s servants. It was part of the agreement that had been hashed out.
Eren regarded the new castle, a bit dubious. He wasn’t sure how the Prince would receive him, or how much the male might have changed since his childhood memory. Eren himself had changed quite a bit. It had taken a lot of discussion with his father to prove that it wasn’t just a whim he was chasing, that he was really serious about his choice. It had taken even longer to come up with a way to keep anyone who knew Eren from talking. He became ‘Ellen,’ the not very talked about younger sister to the heir. In appearance, he still looked similar. His hair was cleaner and styled, but still short, and it tended to do its own thing after a while. He’d shot up in height like a reed, and although he hadn’t worked out much, he still had broad shoulders. Only the clothes and makeup made him appear feminine, because his body certainly didn’t help. The dress her currently wore was a deep green silk that accented his eyes. It was well padded on the top to give the illusion of breasts, and it flowed out from his hips. His legs were clean of hair and heels adorned his feet. He even had pierced ears with green drops in them.
He and his two attendants followed Kenny into the castle, where Eren’s husband to be awaited. Eren was eager but nervous to meet him again. Would the Prince even remember that encounter in the orchard?
Kenny introduced Ellen to the staff, but his nephew was nowhere to be seen. He sighed heavily. This was no way to treat a Princess. “I am sorry. It seems my nephew is still showing his rebellious side. Please allow one of our servants to show you to the rooms you and your attendants will have. I will look for Levi.” He bowed to Eren, who inclined his head and curtsied in return.
As the Princess was led off, Kenny went in search of Levi. He found him in one of the apple orchards, staring at a tree. It wasn’t the first time he’d caught Levi here. More than once he’d wondered what appeal that tree held to Levi, but his nephew never told him. “The Princess is here.”
Levi kept looking at the tree, his back to Kenny. “You know, I met someone here once that I thought I might be able to fall in love with. But he was too young. I told him to come back when he was older.” When Levi turned, Kenny was shocked to see pain in his eyes. “It was the only dream I’ve had since my parents died. And now I have to marry her instead. All for the kingdom.”
“Levi...”
The Prince held up his hand, cutting Kenny off. “I will do as is required. But I will not dance to her every whim. If I want to have sex with a male, I will. If I need to get away, I will take it. Fair trade, don’t you think?”
Kenny frowned. “You do her a disservice by being this way.”
“I’m not going to change just for her. I will be myself, and she will have to deal with it.” Levi retorted, eyes once again showing nothing. “Now I wish to meet this Princess.” ………………………………… Eren was walking around the rooms he had been given. They were nicely furnished. And yet, still very different from what he was used to. From what he’d heard, the Prince’s rooms were across the castle from him. Something about preserving Eren’s integrity until they married. It was the proper thing for a Princess, but it made him shake his head in amusement. Even after all this time he still wasn’t completely proper.
“The rooms certainly are nice.” One of his assistants commented, blushing when Eren looked their way. “Very tidy and clean and… roomy?”
Eren laughed. “Armin, now you sound like a Princess. Is that really the sort of thing I’m supposed to say?”
“I don’t know, Your Highness.” Armin replied, still blushing. “I’m just your servant. It is not for me to tell you what to say.”
“Enough. You are more than a servant. You are my friend.” Armin had been Eren’s friend since they were still and diapers. So he, yes he was male, was the perfect choice for being Eren’s attendant. Even if both of them were now dressed as women.
Armin’s face turned even more pink as the other attendant gave a small laugh. She actually was a woman, a sweet girl who was happy to help out with this charade. She was the one who always made sure Eren’s hair and makeup looked right, and that his dresses were perfect. “Now then, my Lady, we must spruce you up for meeting your husband to be.” Her eyes twinkled as she and Armin tugged at Eren’s dress until it rested just right on him.
A knock on the door caused all of them to pause. Armin answered it, sinking into a curtsy as he admitted the Regent.
Eren also curtsied. “My Lord.” He murmured.
“Levi would like to meet you.” The Regent hesitated. “He is not always easy to get along with, Princess. “Maybe you can get him to open up.”
“I would like that, my Lord.” Eren replied, looking at the floor.
“Come. I will lead you to him.” …………………………… Eren curtsied deeply as he was led into the throne room. He kept his eyes downcast, not yet ready to look at the male he would marry. He was trying to keep his breathing under control. He’d had a crush on Levi all these years; now was the time to see if his feelings were still true. And how much the male had changed. He lifted his head slightly, looking at the Prince through his lashes. Levi was stunning, more handsome than Eren remembered. With his blue eyes, black hair, and pale skin, accented nicely by his dark blue clothing, he looked almost ethereal. The only thing to lessen this was his height. From what Eren could tell, Levi was almost a full head shorter than him. Eren’s heart thumped erratically.
Levi was sitting in his chair. It wasn’t the actual throne, since he was not yet King. It was a chair set just below that one. Someday it would be his bride’s chair. He gave the Princess a bored look. The dress she wore was a nice color, making her skin appear almost milky. She was built more sturdy than the females he was accustomed to seeing, and her brown hair was rather short. She certainly didn’t seem like she would be the feminine type, and definitely wasn’t anything Levi would ever look at. Until she lifted her face a little and he saw her eyes.
In a heartbeat he was off his chair and lifting her to her feet, hand under her chin. He’d recognize that exotic color anyway. But surely it couldn’t be. The child from the orchard had been male… hadn’t he? “You. A- are you-?”
Eren blinked. So the Prince remembered after all. He would have happily admitted it had been him. But he just couldn’t. “I am Princess Ellen.” He replied in a quiet voice. He tilted his head, giving the look of confusion.
Of course she wasn’t the one. Levi sighed, releasing her chin, and tucking all him emotions away. “Forgive me, I thought you were someone I met once. I am Levi, your… fiance.”
“The Prince honors me.” Eren replied demurely.
Receiving a look from Kenny, Levi glared at him. He knew his uncle wanted him to do something more, but it just didn’t feel right. His betrothed was female! He grimaced as Kenny gestured to him, practically insisting. Yes, it was a common thing between meetings of royalty. That didn’t mean he wanted to do it. Fury was in his eyes even as he smirked. Catching the Princess’s startled expression, he once again gripped her chin and rose on his toes, giving her a mocking kiss on the cheek. Bowing to her, he decided he couldn’t handle anymore of this. Protocol be damned. He thought as he left the room.
Kenny gave the Princess an apologetic look. “He takes some getting used to. Would you like a palace tour?”
“Y- yes.” Eren replied, cheeks flushed red. His legs wobbled as he followed after Kenny.
