I don't care about Blitz, Stolas, and their relationship. It is boring and bland like dry moldy toast. It being the main "appeal" to Helluva is an awful choice, no one can tell me otherwise. This is why the views have been dropping since the released of Full Moon. The shippers are this show's life support and if they ever become unhappy, this show is tank.

This episode barely kept my attention unlike the previous one. I even paused it to eat some Hawaiian Rolls, and I had more fun eating bread than watching this episode.

The only thing that kept me interested was the small mentions of Lucifer. If did not have a hyper fixation on him, I would probably not finish the episode.

The crew hyping up Vassago by putting him in that pride parade print and other merch is funny because he does nothing. He has no personality out of being Spanish. If something is hyped by Viv or anyone else, it's going to be lame.

We know season three will have more focus on Ars Goetia so he will probably be Stolas' future Latin lover or even worse, a love triangle between him, Stolas, and Blitz. Vassago and Stolas should get together, they both have "ass" in their names.

What if the reader accidentally slipped through time & "went back" to the Taisho Period? Basically they "teleported" from the modern era to the past. And while they still had their original capabilities, personality, characteristics & looks, they gained some new ones too. Though they were just happy they still had their lanky ass height & tattoos. Sure, they're very strong & can fight off demons pretty easily, but they have no idea what a "Hashira" even is. And they think the demons are just playing a "silly prank" sometimes.

Since the reader is from modern times, they had some issues with the bathrooms, bed & the overall lack of air conditioning and wifi. Then they were freaking out about where to charge their phone & tablet. The reader also had a habit of using slangs, phrases & memes from modern times which is something that the others had hard time understanding.

How would the KNY characters react to them?

For: Uzui, Rengoku, Sanemi, Mitsuri, Urokodaki, Hagenezuka & Gyomei

-It had been not only a big shock, but a big adjustment for you, when you wound up in the past, long before Wi-Fi, air conditioning, video games, and refrigerators.

-Coming back to the past in Japan was more than enough, especially dealing with demons that tried to attack you, wanting your ‘prime flesh’ to grow stronger. Too bad they chose the wrong opponent, and you handled many demons bare handed.

-You originally thought they were bandits trying to scare anyone passing by to attack them for anything valuable, until you saw one of them morph into a creature that many would call a nightmare, that’s when you knew that these weren’t humans, not anymore.

-Your raw strength quickly caught the attention of the Demon Slayer Corps, who begged you for your help in taking out the demons, more specifically the leader of the demons, Muzan.

-You didn’t hesitate to agree to help, not at all bothered because you could hear their desperation. You quickly became a Hashira, making the final Selection look easy, to the awe of many and annoyance of some who had worked so hard for so many years.

-Your breathing style was like Obanai’s Snake Breathing, but it was far more powerful, and you named it Naga Breathing, and many demons, including some of the Upper Moons, were terrified of you, knowing what you were capable of, seeing your raw strength for themselves.

-Muzan desired to eat you, knowing that if he consumed you, he would be unstoppable, but while you make look like a snack, you aren’t looking to be eaten by anyone. He even approached you once, asking if you wanted more power, to become a demon, something you delivered a hot and fresh knuckle sandwich straight to his teeth for.

-For the most part, living in this day and age wasn’t bad, you got your own house, you got to lounge around all day, and you didn’t have any real responsibilities, at least at home.

-You did miss air conditioning and electricity, as you missed playing your video games and watching videos, but it was unique to see the birth of electricity in Japan, as inventions were being revealed for the first time, so it was kind of fun to see when things like this first started out.

-Your fellow Hashira didn’t really know what to make of you, as you talked funny, and talked about odd things that they had never heard of.

-Some liked you, like Mitsuri because you were handsome and a big eater, Obanai which was surprising due to your quiet nature and similar breathing style, Tengen who thought you were flashy, Gyomei who could sense your strength but also your desire to not hurt others aimlessly, Shinobu because you would ask questions about her research that would get her on the right track of new medicines, Giyuu because you were quiet and didn’t really mind if he just sat with you, Rengoku who was your opposite, being bright and energetic, almost too much at times, but you liked his vibe.

-The only one who was irritated with you was Sanemi, who you discovered was irritated with everyone, constantly raging, even more so when he would be yelling and having a tantrum and you would pipe up with, “Big mood.” Gods you were so infuriating! If you weren’t so strong and needed to take on Muzan he probably would have strangled you long ago!

-You also found yourself with three and a half younger warriors who would always follow you around, Inosuke because he wanted you to fight him, Zenitsu and Tanjiro who admired your strength while also being confused by your lazy personality when you weren’t fighting, and the half was Nezuko, who would follow you around like a duckling, sensing that you were a good person, mainly because you let her play with your hair without being bothered.

-Muzan had to be careful as he and his Upper Moons planned an attack, not only was he at risk of facing the Hashira, the strongest of the Corps, but he was also being faced with you, a warrior that made him feel fear, much like Yoriichi.

-You were oblivious to his plotting, as were the rest of the Corps, you were in your house, watching Inosuke, Tanjiro, and Zenitsu sparring while Nezuko was putting flowers in your hair while you were eating snacks.

makes me a little sad when star trek ignores IDIC. like. vulcans are logical. that is true. But 'logical', for vulcans, does not amount to 'without compassion,' and it definitely doesn't amount to 'racial superiority.' I think TOS Spock does a pretty good job of embodying this. Not always, it was the 60s, after all, but mostly. He was often trying to find non-violent routes, and get by without killing - even if they were in danger or had already been attacked. (See: the mugato, and the horta (until Kirk was the one in danger, lmao. t'hy'la > IDIC), the Gorn ship). Kirk, in his eulogy, calls him the most human soul he's ever known, and I've always read that as Kirk calling out Spock's overwhelming compassion.

It's just so much more interesting when Vulcans get to be radically compassionate. I want them to believe that everything and everyone has value. I want them to respect all ways of being. I want them to find ways for even very non-humanoid aliens to exist unfettered in society. I want them to see hybrids and think that it's amazing. Also, like, disability rep. I want Vulcans to have The Most Accessible Planet and available resources because they want everyone to feel accepted and valued. It makes for better characters and more interesting stories.

Justice League Unlimited is a great adaptation of Helena in general, but it also did a great adaptation of Helena and Vic's relationship. how he just dedicates himself to helping her with no expected return, but also wants to make sure she doesn't go too far in a hunt for vengeance that never ends for her. i think a lot of characters often want to change Helena or expect things out of her for their own needs, like the Batfam and the BoP. but Vic is one of the few people who just wants her to be better for her own good. when he tries to stop her from killing it's not because of his morals, it's because he doesn't want this crusade to consume her. and i just. man i think about them a lot. Helena rlly likes weird little men who give themselves wholly to her.

Zinda Blake/Lady Blackhawk is also a top ship for me. tbh i just like Zinda. but i do love how Helena and Zinda interact, being the more rough and tumble members of the BoP. they're both outsiders, in different ways. if we're willing to count New-52 Helena, then i enjoy Helena/Dick/Tiger. i think Helena and Dick being a past relationship is really important in pre-Flashpoint for Helena's development, though i don't ship them as a serious couple beyond a fling. but in the New-52, i think this throuple be fun. Helena and Tiger respect each other as two very driven, no-nonsense agents and then well. they both clearly have some kind of thing for Dick. so it's fun finding the balance of how they could all work together romantically.

and ofc. it's a crime to mention Helena ships and not mention Renee Montoya/the Question. every time they interact it's really fucking gay. it's so gay that Kate Kane, Renee's own ex, assumed Helena and Renee were gay. i cannot be convinced against this ship. i genuinely think this ship should be canon. i mean. DC did tease us with this moment from an alternate universe and it's lived rent for me since. fucking criminal for us to only get one panel of what we could have if DC let Helena be a fruit in the main universe. being in love with Helena Bertinelli should be a right of passage for the Question mantle, i personally believe. if you asked me like. genuinely who i want to see Helena date in the current comics, Renee is my top pick. besides those ships, just about every ship for Helena probably falls into the category of rarepair. like you said i've talked about my love for Helena/Steph before bc god. i think it should be a thing more people ship. once i finish the fic i'm writing about them i will convince others to like it.

i also think Helena/Cass could be fun. in a *lot* of ways Helena and Cass are narrative parallels to each other. Helena was a victim of her family being murdered at about the same age Cass was forced to be a murderer. Helena grows up to believe in lethal justice because of this, and Cass grows up to be staunchly against it. Cass' Batgirl suit was made *by* Helena. they both want to be protectors of the most vulnerable people. they balance each other out in a lot of ways and i think they should kiss about it.

also probably a rarepair, i think Helena/Lady Shiva is fun. their fight during Birds of Prey (2010) had... questionable moments for Helena's characterization, but i do love so much that Helena knocks Shiva off her feet and gains a deep respect from Shiva. like. Shiva gives her a nickname and shows her admiration. i would like to see fanfic where Shiva continues to be weirdly admirable of Helena and bothering her non-stop. they could be a fun fucked up toxic yuri moment. this is just. so gay to me.

my most rare Helena pair would probably be Helena Wayne, actually. but specifically Helena Wayne of JSA (2022). ever since, for some reason, it was made canon that the current Helena Wayne was named after Helena Bertinelli and took the name Huntress to honor her i *cannot* stop thinking about them meeting. because in-universe it makes *no* fucking sense for Bruce to name his kid after *Helena Bertinelli*, someone he's regularly at odds with and doesn't like. it's clearly an awkward explanation to try to make the whole two Huntress situation make sense. Some headcanons about this design:

has a bit of a bull-like look bc I associate bulls with persistence and madness and idk that fits Paris well so if Fian has a “fox” motif Paris gets a “bull” one for his dragon form 

His design is based a lot on how a stereotypically evil dragon would look???? I gave her bikini top a zen-garden kind of feel because I read the first Ace’s Story Novel and I loved how idyllic and peaceful they made Sixis Island sound so I wanted to invoke that in some way.

Speaking of her painted wooden beads, they hang off the back of her top and represent her connection to Sabo and Luffy. They watch her back once she sets sail. She only wears one red glass bead earring because the other one got ripped out of her ear when a child, leaving her earlobe torn (don’t think about it too much 😢). Also, I really wanted her to have super textured curly hair that licks behind her like flames. I am always considering whether or not a character should have long hair or not because I don’t want it to be a hindrance if they’re in a fight (or if they ARE a fighter with long hair, how to they avoid an enemy making use of that?). Ace is, of course, a Logia-type Devil Fruit User so I think she wouldn’t have trouble with people grabbing it LOL I get the feeling that she doesn’t take very good care of it even though it looks amazing. Like you’d think it would be soft and bouncy just by looking at it but if you ever get the chance to run your fingers through it, it’s a total rat’s nest and there’s sand and food all up in it. She still falls asleep while eating 😂 but she tries her best to only do it around people she can trust (woman moment 😔).

Honestly, her design is not that different from Ace’s canon look. It feels really vital to Ace’s character to have a lot of skin showing. Now for Sabo, I’ve made her very girly. I tried putting her in pants or something more militant but she told me that she’d wear the big poofy sleeves and hiked-up ruffled skirt. I think Sabo has always had a strong grasp on his fashion sense and individual flair and I truly believe that his personal style is one of the major influences for the rest of the Revolutionary Army resulting in the very flashy, queer, steampunk aesthetic (aside from Dragon’s plain-ass cloak). So of course I had to implement her nonconformist look when reimagining her as a woman and dress her up to the nines.

I’ve given her very ornate jewelry that is there to tell a story, even if she herself doesn’t know it. I like to think she picks up stuff from her travels that resonate with her, such as a damaged set of earrings with one stone missing or red cup-shaped shells featuring three nestled pearls. Another accessory that cannot go unmentioned is her dragon claw hat pin that keeps her top hat resting on top of her hair (and is definitely used as a weapon when the situation simply doesn’t call for trusty metal pipe). She also has a veil that obscures her prominent facial scar. I imagine she’s not very keen on the reminder of the incident from her childhood that took away her memories. I also kept her chipped toothed because 1) it’s fucking adorable and 2) is a visual reminder that she no longer aligns herself with the nobility who would have gotten such a thing fixed. She is so poised in almost every outward facet of her life from her dignified role as the Chief of Staff to the elegant materials in her clothing that it can be easy to forget she was also a rough and tumble forest dweller. Every time Koala remembers this, he lets out the biggest sigh.

Her hair is inspired by Gibson Girls and Elizabeth Swann from the first Pirates of the Caribbean movie. I wanted it to be fussy and tidy but fall apart when she’s in moments of distress. For example, when she remembers her sisters, her hair starts to look like Ace’s flaming mane. I’m so in love with her, I think she looks like an adorable little porcelain doll that would fuck you up. I made an effort to keep her eyes a little bit manic. I get lost in her steely black orbs (and also Ace’s warm brown ones, but we’re talking about Sabo rn).

Plot notes for this AU:

For this series of character designs, I wanted the expressions and outfits to be aligned with the canon plot but I don’t know if I have the heart to kill fem!Ace in my AU. I’m too attached and ASL has suffered enough!!!!! But Ace’s death is also a major defining moment for Luffy so it feels disingenuous to completely avoid it. Also a huge aspect of Sabo’s character is carrying on Ace’s will and I have so many thoughts about how the Dressrosa Colosseum scene would play out if they were all women. Oh well, I’ll cross that tragic bridge when I get to it. I’m definitely going to draw some Modern AU Girl Piece ASL though. They deserve to hang out with no stakes 😭 They are sisters!!!
