You were hesitant, hands sweating, and teeth grinding levels of nerves raced throughout your entire body as you finally entered your house with Wanda, your new classmate turned friend. The girl had made it clear that she liked you, and the truth was you thought you might like her too, but you needed others approval first.
Your mom was really easygoing, most would say neglectful, but you figured that would probably work in your favor. It was Natasha, her youthful wife's approval that you craved, and for some reason, you never got.
——
"Hey mom," you greeted her with a hopeful smile, "I have someone I want you to meet." This caught Natasha's attention immediately, she sprung up from the couch and met the lot of you in the kitchen. You were so engrossed in letting Wanda introduce herself to them to notice the way your mom winced at your step mothers touch, her grip vice-like on her hips.
"It's lovely to meet you Wendy," Natasha replied, a cordial hand extended her way. The brunette chuckled awkwardly, shaking her hand out of respect, but you could see the way her demeanor had changed. It made you sad to see Nat likely didn't approve, because you were honestly running out of options at this point.
"Wanda," you politely corrected your stepmom, then went on in the same breath, "and I will be going up to my room now. We have an exam to study for this Friday." The way you rushed off, with her hand in yours, in a fit of giggles made the redheads blood boil.
"It's time," was all she offered your mother, the spineless woman nodded then set off to her bedroom while Natasha watched you walk into your own with the live footage now pulled up on her phone.
You were just too cute for words honestly, the way you plopped onto your bed with a silly smile made her swoon. Then she felt her mood fall when Wanda sat next to you, the strawberry brunette's hand brazenly laid on your bare thigh, and the jealousy was back as if it'd never truly left. Because it didn't, anytime someone so much as looked at what was hers she fumed.
You didn't know, but you were hers, she ensured that ages ago when she met your mom in a nightclub and tricked her into believing she was interested in her.
Natasha was well off, and your mother poor. It was easy for her to convince your mom to give her you. Your father left her when you were just a tike, and she resented you for taking her youth. As if you'd asked to be born, but regardless of the circumstances you were dealt, you were just so good. The kindest creature Natasha had ever seen, an obvious innocence that stemmed from neglect radiated from you, it was what attracted the redhead to you in the first place. When she saw you smile for the first time she was hooked.
Natasha, who was much closer to your age than your mother's, caught sight of you on campus one day. You smiled warmly at the barista, and she felt a darkness envelope her heart since it wasn't directed at her. She took a photo of you, but remained out of your eye line as she ran your face through an algorithm. Confirming to her that you were a bit younger, and so damn cute, the naivety radiated off of your instagram account.
All she knew after you left the coffee shop with a hum was that she had to have you. It was her final year of her doctorate while it appeared to only be the third of your bachelors. She knew better than to just approach you alone, you were far too delicate for her gruff, relentless demeanor. So she set out to learn all about you, and the life that led you to where you were now.
Then one day, when your mom was desperate for a fix, Natasha struck a hell of a deal. It was illegal in every single sense, but your mom took it without even a second thought to your safety or happiness. An endless supply of drugs and a home in Miami in exchange for you, her only child. The concept was sinister, and sadly fit her well. It wasn't even her first time considering it.
Fortunately, you got Natasha instead of the sleaze that propositioned her months prior. In this case, you were at least going to experience love, even in a twisted way.
Everything was finally falling into place for Natasha, your mom didn't seem to want to call it off, not that she really cared if she had. Now she could only work out if she handled Wanda first. No way was she about to let that slut have her way with you, your virginity was the redheads. She quite literally paid for that and your child bearing abilities, your genetic predisposition to fertility a cherry on top of the perverse sundae.
Your mother had vacated her womb enough times to confirm to Natasha that was the case. Surprisingly though, the redhead would've been fine if you were only able to carry one. As much as she wanted to breed you endlessly, until your body forgot how to be barren, she also was fine with one heir and the trophy wife.
First though, before she could embark on her fantasy, came the removal of the obstacle. Wanda, the younger redhead, who shared characteristics with the elder that made her want to laugh. Even in your conquest for love elsewhere did you find someone who resembled her. Whether it be her green eyes or red hair, there hadn't been a time where you brought someone unlike her home. It was a perfect reminder of your looming fate.
"Hey! Open this door right now!" Natasha shouted as the side of her fist pummeled into your locked door, "No closed doors in my house!" The action shook the walls surrounding you and startled you out of the horny girls grasp. Wanda glared at the shaking door and you just sat there with a delicate frown. Natasha had never so much as shouted at you before, so the sound actually left you feeling like a wounded puppy.
Your precious Natty, the light in the darkness that was your previous life with your mom was someone you didn't recognize at all today. It hurt your heart, because she'd never had an issue with you closing the door when Peter was over before. Though deep down you knew Wanda was harmless, your body began to regard her as a threat since your stepmom, who you adored, had clearly despised her. The cycle continued on.
"You should probably go," you sadly spoke up, "I-I really do need to focus on my study guide."
Wanda frowned, but with one look into your eyes she realized your daunting predicament. It was clear you were the mouse that'd collect the cheese, and Natasha was setting her trap. If she thought she could help she would, but deep in your gaze she could see you contently fell prey. The woman reluctantly nodded, standing to collect her bag just as she heard an ominous sound of metal scraping just outside the door. You stood up, and opened the door first, walking out to meet the fuming woman. Your soft hand settled onto her arm, and she lowered the hopefully empty gun.
"Are you okay detka?" You kindly smiled up at her over the concern, appreciating it and failing to see the way that her lips were fighting to keep from amusedly lifting. "Did she take advantage of you my little dove?"
"No," you sighed, smile falling ever so slightly, "We were just talking, she is leaving though." Wanda put truth to your words as she passed by in a rush.
"I'm sorry," Natasha solemnly said after a moment of awkward silence (she wasn't), "I just need you to be more careful sweetheart." Her lips gently pressed to your temple, and you melted into her, no discomfort present even as her pistol pressed into your back. "You are too pure, you'll never know who has ill intentions."
Oh how right she was... You'd never know.
With your front flush to hers she felt her cock twitch with anticipation for the upcoming day that she finally got to claim you, in totality. Tomorrow couldn't come fast enough. "I love you so much, my precious girl."
——
The following day you woke up to a knock, it was a simple two beats, so you lazily got up and once presentable headed downstairs to eat. However, instead of a table of delicious food you found your mom stood by the door with a suit case by her side.
"Mom?" The middle aged woman smiled, but it was weak as she opened her arms for a hug (a goodbye). It held an apology you didn't see; it was better that way.
"Hey kiddo, I'm headed off for a bit," she pinched your side and smiled, but her eyes looked sad as you met them. "Why? For how long?" She sighed, "A month."
"Natty too?" You cringed, you didn't mean for it to sound so obvious that you cared more about her, but it was always obvious. Charlotte never had the time of day for you, but Nat always did. Natasha found it hard not to laugh at your mom, whose face looked sad.
Natasha found the moment perfect, the way you were about to be all hers was beyond exhilarating. It was also a shameless way to check you out and disgust your vile mother. How dare she sell you... Like you were filthy trash... Fortunately you were left to Natasha, she'd never let you go, you were safest in her arms.
"Nope detka," Natasha sang from behind you, the sound of jingling keys followed her. "We're gonna take your mom to the airport, and then we'll get breakfast."
No one offered you more, not where your mom was going, nor the unsavory reasoning, and truthfully you didn't care to ask. Alone time with Nat was your favorite, every other time your mom left you alone with her you had the time of your life. This time would prove different though, you felt it when she kissed your lips as she entered the car after eating at the diner.
"Na-Natasha," you stuttered out her name, she found it amusing the way you were about to resist her advances even though your eyes had yet to flutter back open. "Don't worry detka, your mom is gone for good now, so we can finally be together. No more other people..."
"No, s-she said a month," you whimpered, both from the proposed betrayal and her hand on your thigh. "Your mother is a liar Y/N, you'll see that I'm not..."
The car ride home was quiet, except for the pounding of your heartbeat in your ears as her hand settled on your thigh, her grip possessive, and confusing. It was just as quiet when she guided you back inside the house, but it didn't remain as such. Natasha pushed you up against the door, with a gentle force to show you she meant what she said before, and you believed it when her lips and hands began to roughly roam.
"You're married," you tried to deter her, but she only shrugged and continued to kiss down your jawline. "That wasn't real, I only married her to have you."
"What?" Natasha pulled back, lips upturned as she saw the fear in your eyes and hot spurts of white coated the tip of her cock and spread all over her boxers. It was apparent to her that you were going to resist some, so she threw you over her shoulder and tossed you onto the bed that she shared with your mother. "Don't worry dove, we never slept together, daddy's all yours."
You cringed outwardly, but much to your shock, you felt as your heart fluttered at the twisted truth, and your virgin cunt dampened with her chosen title.
"I'm doing this for your own good," she informed you as she tied your hands to the posts of her bed. "It would be a shame if you tried to fight destiny."
"Natty," you whimpered, feelings disgusted as your core pulsed in need. “I-I.” For a brief moment she softened. "This is wrong, y-you're my step mom."
"I'm your daddy actually," she chuckled darkly, "I'm here to turn you into a mommy, so get comfortable."
No words left you as you tried to understand your fate. It wasn't until you felt the chilled tip of a blade on your bare skin that you realized you were now naked. "My mom won't be happy, you are not supposed to do this."
Natasha ran her blade down the side of your neck, a whimper left you as you felt the blood trickle down your skin and into the sheets. "Oh, you are just as naive as your mom is a filthy deviant; she gave you to me."
"N-no," you cried, you didn't want to believe her, but it wasn't like you didn't know your mom was a disaster.
"Your mother wasn't worth a sack of shit," she gritted against the skin of your neck as her hands roughly caressed your concealed womb. "But you, I just know that you'll be everything our kids will ever need."
"Kids?" You gulped, her words were clear moments ago, but yet you seemed confused until now, and the redhead chuckled, "Mhm, gonna fill you up until you are begging for more Y/N, my personal cum dump.”
Natasha smirked as your walls clenched around nothing in direct contradiction with your pleading words and persistent attempts to shove her away as your lower body pitifully tried to thrust her off. You were torn between the pleasure you'd craved for years, and the strangely alluring promise of becoming her pretty little housewife to push hard enough. "I'm not sure I want to be a mom Natty," you finally whimpered loud enough and she just laughed in your face as she pushed her cock inside of you without preparation.
The sight of your eyes crossing and mouth opening had her prematurely ejaculating, truly sealing your fate.
"Don't worry my little dove," she coo'd while stilling her hips, reluctantly allowing your untouched body a chance to get used to her twitching intrusion. "You'll be nothing like her, I promise, you'll be the perfect mom."
"I don't want to be," you cried, hands pulling at the restraints, but your words of protest were negated as you moaned like a filthy whore with a simple jolt of her hips. “Daddy isn’t in the business of caring detka.” You whimpered, heart shattering at the coldness you were not expecting from the woman you’d adored, but in the same breath you were incredibly turned on by it all.
This idea of being her filthy whore; just a hole to fuck and a womb to fill, was exciting you greatly. “That’s right detka, let daddy do all the thinking for you.” Her speed picked up in response. Your faux display of disinterest only spurring her on to show you just how much you wanted this too. It was a dual need.
With every thrust you could feel her tip twitch, and a spurt of her essence would follow. It alarmed you the more real it became that she was genuine about breeding you. Desire as you might to be hers, you were still in the process of your final year in undergrad, and had every intention to start your masters child free.
“Natasha please,” you cried, legs trying to squeeze shut, and your cunt was slick enough that it nearly pushed her back out but she thrusted against you. Her hips forced yours back onto the bed, and the way in which her tip slammed into your cervix made your mind go blank, and pussy flutter uncontrollably.
"Nice try slut!" Her fingers caressed the bump protruding from your abdomen in awe, the outline of the tip of her cock clear as day. "Your walls are working overtime to suck me dry, don't you feel it detka?" She grinned wickedly as her hand pressed firmly into your abdomen. "The urge to be full of me? My perfect little whore to breed. You'll never be hollow again."
You sobbed, it was gut wrenching, but not to Natasha. This was just par for the course, you needed a minute to see that this was always how life was meant to be. Natasha was your soulmate, you didn’t need anyone else, and she knew with time you’d be okay with that.
“Shh, stress isn’t good for baby making detka,” she scolded you as she pulled her cock out and kissed your lips with a tenderness, giving you emotional whiplash. Natasha slid a plug inside of you, it was efficient in keeping her cum inside, but purposefully short enough that you couldn’t derive pleasure by humping it. Your fate was indeed sealed; Natasha was a lot of (terrible) things, but she was never a liar. Her seed painted your fertile insides white, and every day since she's done the same. Sex with you had become a fast addiction, it took you only a minute to accept the reality. You sorta loved it, your stretched hole ached for her cock the entire time she would be away, you'd become insatiable too.
She wondered if it was the pre-natals she'd been slipping you every morning in your special smoothies that increased your need, but she liked to believe it was just your natural, insatiable attraction to her. Either way, she indulged the both of your carnal desires.
Before work she'd wake you up with her cock between your tits, you no longer wore clothes to bed because you never woke up in them anyways. After giving her head just like she wanted, with your once virgin mouth, she'd allow you to get her to the edge, but she'd always make sure to save her release for your womb.
Never one to waste an opportunity to fill you.
On the weekends she'd bend you over the coffee table, fucking you raw from the back while she caught up on her favorite shows. It was a mindless means to ensure you were carrying her kin, but at night she'd give it to you with more passion than before. There was a new toy at her disposal every single time, you wondered if the tellers at Kiss-N-Tell knew her by name now.
Natasha was a multi-millionaire, no cost was too much if it meant she could see you writhing with a pleasure only she could offer you. The redhead succeeded in ruining you for anyone else, and there was never much hope for another anyway. Not only were you stupidly in love with the woman, but you knew your only hope at freedom was her wife—your mom, who was gone.
That doomed hope of yours fizzled out fast. The month had come and gone, but in the end the only mother present within the four walls of your house was you as you held the test between your shaky hands. Two red lines, prominent in nature, flashed right up at you.
Natasha, the cause, was at work while you were crying in the bathroom. Then you heard the alarm on your phone. The oven was ready... You set two prepped buns on the pan, and zoned out as the sliders warmed. How hilarious and ironic as the two lines weren't the only pair at play here... Soon enough you'd understand.
Your heart soon cracked as Natasha held your son, Xavier, while your daughter, Inez, laid on your bare chest after a successful feeding. It was almost domestic, especially when Natasha kissed your lips with an unfamiliar tenderness.
"I can't wait for our family to keep growing," she grinned against your lips, feeling the way they shook as you gulped down your fear.
What a silly girl you were to hope for love...

Pre Apocalypse
You had moved to a small town in Georgia to get away from your parents. Your Aunt Mary had a little boutique and offered a job. Your parents didn’t like you weren’t married yet, not even dating either. So they have been shoving men at you for the last few years. They thought by your age you should have been married with kids. They wanted grandkids. Your brother was married but him and his wife struggled with fertility. The final straw was trying to get you into an arranged marriage with one of your father’s business buddies kid. You had only just turned 30.
It had freaked you out how your parents made it seem like you didn’t have a choice. So you packed your bags, your mother pleaded for you to not go. You broke the lease to your apartment and left without telling them where.
You like the simple life you were leading now. Helping your Aunt's business. You lived with her because she was a widow with no kids and wanted the company. You had some interesting neighbors across the street. You had just driven into the driveway taking notice of a man fixing his truck. It was hot outside and his arms were covered in grease.
You walked into the kitchen where your Aunt was doing dishes. You decided to help making idle talk about how the shop was until you looked out the window to still see the sleeveless man. Your Aunt caught you looking, "Thought you came here to get away from boys?" You smile shyly at being caught, looking back down and handing her a wet plate to be dried. "Never said that... Just the one my parents choose. Didn't have time to look for a date when men were thrown at me randomly by them." Your Aunt was amused to say the least. "That's Daryl Dixon, him and his brother live there. You have to watch yourself with a Dixon. But Daryl has helped me with a few things that broke around the house. He replaced the battery's in the fire alarms for me a week before you came."
You gave her a sideways look, "You trying to set me up now to?" Mary laughs, "Fine fine, granted I do bake something for him every time he does something for me. Could just have a sweet tooth." You look back out the window, ‘Daryl huh?’
It was a week later that you got a call from your brother. You went on a walk to take the call. He was anger that your father was on him for a kid because you had disappeared. The pressure had turned to his wife who was already having a hard time with infertility. It was when you were walking back to the house did the conversation get heated.
"Grow a back bone and yell at them Mathew! Why are you coming at me for!?" He responded with his own venom, "Why couldn't you just do what they asked! But go ahead die alone for all I care!" He ended the call abruptly after. You clenched your teeth tight and closed your eyes trying to compose yourself. A voice called from across the street, "Ya doin alright over there?" You turned to see Daryl beer in hand with the hood of his car open. You sighed shoulders sagging, "Sorry for the yelling." Daryl pick up another beer showing it off to you, "Sounds like ya could use one of these." You put your hands to your hips before deciding to walk over. You grab the beer he handed you with a smile, "Thanks..."
You cracked the can open taking a sip. Daryl stare at you for a second before saying something, “Yer boyfriend causing you trouble?” You chuckled at the thought, making a small face of disgust at it even, “No, that was just my brother being an ass.” Daryl took mental note of that ‘single’. He huffed and looked back down into his trucks hood. “Oh trust me I know how that is.” You look at him as he refocused his attention to his car, ‘That’s right, that’s what your Aunt had said.’ You lean against the truck. “Your Daryl right? I’m Y/N” Daryl looked back up at the mention of you knowing his name, “Oh so ya heard bout us.” He sounded a bit disappointed at the thought. You lean to look inside the car, smiling over to him, “Only the things my Aunt said.” He perked a brow at that, “Who’s yer Aunt? What she say about us?”
“Mary.” You pointed over your shoulder to the house, “And she mentioned you might have a sweet tooth.” Daryl looked over to the house of the lady he often did things for, her niece chiming in again. “Always see you fixing this truck across the street.” He pulled a red rag from his back pocket wiping his hands, “Ya damn thing always seems to be breakin.” He took notice of the girl fully now. You took slow sips of the beer he gave you while starring into the hood. “Well if I have any trouble with my car I know who to ask.” You looked up to him with a shy smile. “I’m useless when it comes to knowing anything about cars.”
That’s how they both started talking. You watching him fix a couple spark plugs while talking about things. Getting to know each other a little. Like how you were helping Mary with her shop. “Ah, so you just moved here.” You nodded, “Mmm about a month. Have no clue where anything is and have no friends so…” you shrug. A breeze started as evening was setting in. Daryl hesitated before saying, “I could show you some local spots.” He bit the side of his thumb nail waiting for an answer. You had bit your bottom lip looking up at him and smiled, “Sounds like fun to me.”
He was worried for a second he messed up, “There’s a bar that everyone knows, real popular on Fridays.” You nodded while looking at him staring down at your watch seeing you had been talking for about a hour. It was getting late so you slowly started to walk backwards to your house. You smile with a glint in your eye, “Sounds like a Date… see you Friday!” You waved and all he could do was look on with wide eyes. Did you just- “Pick you up at 8!” He yelled. He was in slight disbelief at the out come. Had you been flirting with him the whole time?
You had handed him a tool before he could even ask. You had known how to do it all along and played stupid to talk with him. He smiled down as he closed his hood. ‘Oh you were trouble.’
When Friday came he was kicking himself. This was unlike him to go on dates. But he wouldn’t deny he liked you. You were also looking forward to a date for the first time in a while. Preferring it more than being tricked on to one with some guy your parents liked. Daryl probably didn’t fit that kind a guy they would. Oh but your kind definitely. Your Aunt watched you try on an outfit before deciding to go with a floral casual dress that went to your knees. She gave you a smug look and you only rolled your eyes. You had a long black jacket over you, knowing it was already cool outside.
Daryl knocked on the door and off you went in his truck to this bar. He was slightly nervous when he saw you dolled yourself up, and for him? He had lied to Merle where he was going and doing. He was desperately trying not to blow this, “Ya look pretty…” he had said it at a stop light looking over to you. It’s everything a girl wants to hear, and it sure made you smile.
When they got to the bar the bartender seemed confused to see Daryl with a girl. He was normally there with his brother. Mostly to make sure he didn’t do anything stupid he had noticed. “Well if it isn’t a Dixon, tell your brother he still owes me for the glass he broke.” Daryl cringed at the mention of his brother. You just simply took a seat on a stool. “What can I get you two.”
You had a few drinks you’ll admit. You tried a classic drink that the locals had. You were grossed out at the drink causing you and Daryl to laugh. He only had a drink with the need to drive you both home. You had tried to play pool but decided you were a little to inebriated at how many times you missed the ball entirely. You were standing in a corner of the bustling bar talking. You held a bow empty cup dying laughing at a story had told you about his childhood. Sometimes kids dumb actions, like jumping off a shed in a hero outfit, were just funny. You had lost a little balance at your laughing and place a hand onto Daryl’s chest. He only looked down to you putting a hand to your waist to steady you. You had tears of laughter in you eye, you fanning your face to no ruining your make up. He was definitely enjoying this more than he wanted to.
You had been at the bar for about 4 hours with Daryl. You now walked leaning into him in the parking lot. He had an arm around your shoulder leading you to the car door. He started the car and looked over to you, “Should have told me ya were a lightweight.” You gasped offendly, “Lightweight! I’ll have you know I’m just tipsy.” He looked at you questioningly humming. You relaxed into the car seat, “Ok, I’ll admit I haven’t done this in a while- might be a little rusty on the drinking game.”
You both continued to joke around until getting to the neighborhood. He back up in your drive way to later drive into his own. Him doing that thing with his arm as he back up. You bit your lip at the sight. When he parked and looked at you you spoke, “Thank you for this Daryl, I had fun.” He nodded, “Was my pleasure…” you had slowly moved closer crossing the middle seat. He looked down at your flushed face, mostly done by the alcohol. That liquid courage probably giving you the strength to grab him by the chin and slowly kiss him. He leaned into it grabbing your hip. You pulled back with a bashful smile,
“Same time next week?”
He had fully smiled at that, “Ya bet your sweet ass. Now get out of here miss ‘tipsy’.” You giggle wiggling your way out of the car. Waving goodbye with a stupid smile on your face. He felt his heart skip a beat, ‘oh he was real screwed…’
That night he even thought back to how you were looking at him on the way back. He had caught you leaned against the window with hooded eye. When he looked at you, you tried to fight a smile. Oh and how could he not think of the kiss. His hands dragged down his face at the thought.
This went on for a little over a month. You would see each other throughout the week but Fridays you would go out. Small touch’s and kisses here and there. It wasn’t until you ended up back at that bar that things changed. You were only 2 drinks in. You sat in a booth with Daryl. Head on his shoulder and hands intertwined under the table. You pulled away getting up, “I’m going to get another drink and you a beer. Then I’ll wipe your ass in a game of pool!” Daryl chuckled, “Let’s hope you can hit the ball with your cue this time.” You stuck out your tongue at him while walking to the bar. You had only been waiting for your drinks when a man slide up next to you.
“Whats a pretty thing like you doing with a Dixon? He blackmailing you?” The man held a sleazy smirk. You only look at him with disgust ignoring him. It was when he put his hand to your arm pulling you closer did you talk to him, “Hey back off!” The man’s grip tightened, “What you a hooker or something? Only way a Dixon could get some pipe is by paying for a slut.” You had yanked your arm from him, you falling back a little before landing against someone behind you. A arm rapping around you, you recognized it instantly, Daryl. His voice growling and rumbling against you, “Back off my girl.”
The man who was bothering you only rolled his eyes, “Maybe keep your slut on a leash-“ You had felt Daryl lean forward behind you before you even saw him sock the guy in the face. You had gasped and turned to push Daryl back from the guy. He stumbled and held his nose. You whispered to Daryl, “Ok it’s time to go…” You tried to push him closer to the door but the jackass decided to spit out another comment, “Ya let your bitch drag you away pussy!” You felt Daryl lean forward and resisted you leading him backwards but you spoke softly up to him, “Please…” His eyes briefly met yours. He looked back up to the guy who was probably drunk but, Daryl’s blood was boiling with rage. He relented at your plea and walked out the exit.
He was quiet as he walked back to the truck. Walking a little faster ahead of you. When he got into the drivers seat you had said his name but he wasn’t listening. He put the key in the ignition, turning it on but your hand rested onto his arm and you said his name again, “Daryl…”. He slumped a little and turned the car back off. He slowly turned to look at you. You scooted closer into him. You closed your hands around his face so he would look at you. You gave a small smile, “Thank you.” You gave him a quick peck before leaning back to look at him.
He signed and placed his forehead to yours talking a moment. He thought maybe he was gonna scary you off at the out burst. He whispered, “Hope I didn’t scare ya.” You chuckled shaking your head, “They opposite really. I was scared of that guy and then you came and I felt ok again.” He inhaled a breath before I closing his arms around you. He pulled you into him more and you rapped an arm around his back. You sat there for a moment before you spoke, “Soooo, Your girl huh?”
Daryl froze in place. Didn’t even register he said it in the moment. He pulled back from you, mouth agape, stuttering before he gave up at trying to say anything. You placed a hand into his hair playing with a strand of hair, “I’m your girl?” You had almost whispered it. Daryl cleared his throat, “Will you be?” You let out a breathy sigh,
“Yeah, thought you’d never ask.”
That is when you officially started dating. Sat in the truck, in the parking lot, making out for a good 10 minutes.
You were enjoying the new found established relationship. Over the next week was filled with your Aunt seeing you cuddle on the couch watching a movie. You had even managed to give him a small haircut in his bathroom, “Hmm, I think you would look good with long hair.” Sometime you would find yourself in Daryl’s room laying on his bed just talking when Merle was away.
Speaking of Merle he had later found out when at the bar that his baby brother started a fight over his girlfriend. He had thought nothing of it until he asked his brother if it was true. When it was confirmed he laid hurtful comments at him. ‘No one can love someone like us!’ ‘Like you really?’ It was a definite damage to his ego. But some of the things he said about you rubbed him the wrong way. It made him defensive, ‘She a good lay?’ ‘got you pussy whipped.’ They had yet to even cross that line.
You know understood why Daryl had not wanted you to met his brother at first. He made rude and sexually comments to you. Often either being sexist or racist any time near him. You mostly tried to say clear of him.
Then there came the drama that followed from your parents. Apparently your Aunt let it slip to your brother you were with her. He told your parents and now here you were getting a call from her shop. You picked up the business phone and before you could even spit out your prepared greeting you heard your father’s voice boom over the phone. “Now you listen to me little lady you’re coming back home!” You pause shocked. “Your little tantrum is done and you will do as you’re told!” You could hear your mother in the back telling him to calm down. You to in a breath and replied calmly, “Dad, I will do no such thing.”
He was yelling more. You had caught something about a wedding date and some name before your mother took the phone from him. “Honey, you need to come back home ok?” You really couldn’t understand why, “No Mama I like it here.” She went to go on, “We are just doing what we think is best for you. We just want you to be happy with a husband.” You had enough snapping at them for the first time, “You want what’s best for you. If you wanted me happy you would have listened to me! I’ll have you know with the time I’ve been gone I finally feel free. I even got a boyfriend!”
Your mother gasped, “In the town you’re in! What redneck white trash could you possibly find out there!” You were surprised at the way your mother spoke. But you were also mad at it. You angrily replied, “His name is Daryl Dixon! Fuck you! Never call me again!” You hung up seething. You had closed the shop a little early.
After the call from your parents you walked to the bar. The bartender seemed surprised seeing you without Daryl before asking, “Your usual?” You nodded with an appreciative smile. While waiting for the drink you noticed Daryl’s brother with a few other people. You ignored him deciding you would have the one drink and go home, not really in the mood to deal with Merle.
You had just finished your drink when you heard a commotion behind you. Merle and another were arguing. It was getting really heated. You had stood about ready to leave when the other guy threatened Merle, “I’ll kill you for this!” When you had turned Merle was smug looking and unaware of the knife being pulled from behind the man’s pants. You had yelled, “Merle!” In a panic you lobbed your glass at the man. It shattered over his head sending him to crumple to the side on a table. The knife slipping from his hand and landing in front of him. Merle looked down at the knife before looking up to where the glass came from, spotting you. You were shocked with your mouth open looking at the man holding his head in pain, before looking back to Merle. The few other men that were sitting with them getting up displeased.
Merle realizing he was out numbered started to run toward you. He had grabbed you by the arm and dragged you with him to the exit. The bartender yelled as you got dragged away. “Hey!” You had yelled back before the door closed, “Sorry Lawrence I’ll pay you back later!” Merle was still dragging you along to his motorcycle. The door had swung open and the angry men started to pursue you both. Merle had yelled at you when you pause to look at the door, “Get the fuck on!”
You had hopped over the seat and sat behind him. Not having a moment to hold on before he started to speed off. It wasn’t until he pulled into his driveway that you started telling him off.
Daryl had heard Merle’s motorcycle pull in but he wasn’t expecting to hear you yelling right after it. “Goddamn I’m already having a shit day!” When he walked out the front door to see you telling Merle off as he just sat there on his bike silently taking it. He had never seen his brother not throwing words back at someone. “Are you an idiot!” Not even that got a reaction from him. Daryl knew that would normally get replied by violence. It wasn’t until he spoke did you turn at his voice, “The hell is goin on?” Your anger soon crumpled into tears, you were overwhelmed and maybe a bit scared still body pumping with adrenaline. Daryl almost got whiplash at the sudden mood shift.
That didn’t stop him from hugging you as you started to cry. He shot a look to his brother who still sat on his bike. Merle looking weirded out at the sudden tears. "The hell you do ta her?!” Merle rubbed the back of his neck, "May have got into a bit of a fight at the bar with some folks. She kinda stopped me from being stabbed." He had felt you shaking in his grasp now. He knew you hated conflict, told him about the pit that would form in your stomach. But you stopping Merle from being stabbed? "How she do that?" Merle chuckled, "Threw her glass across the room! Knocked him clean on his sorry ass." He seemed almost impressed by you.
Daryl started leading you back toward your home. Daryl turning to yell back to his brother, "Whatever man piss off." He had gotten you into your house before you spoke, "My Aunt went on her Cabo trip with her book club friends. She'll be gone a week... stay?" He gulped, "If ya really want me to." You nodded, "I don't wanna be alone." He saw you were scared.
He lay next to you in your bed after you calmed down and ate dinner. "Want to talk bout it?" You moved closer to him leading him to put a arm over you. You sighed into him, "I was at the bar because I had a rough conversation with my parents. Somethings were said. Their the reason I moved here, to get away from. I saw Merle and then the knife- then all those men chased us." Your hand rose to pinch the bridge of your nose, "Just been a- a shit day." You move to look up to Daryl's blue eyes a smirk rising to your lips at the worried and tight look he was giving you. He relax a little at your attention. He dragged a hand up your arm to your face, "Merle seems to think your a badass now." He himself was a little proud to hear what you did. You grunted into his chest, "He'd better. Saved his dumbass."
You were talking for a while after that. Seeing the clock blinking 1am now. You were sleepy but enjoyed talking to him to much to fall asleep. Sleep was pulling at your eyes and a question that should have been a inside thought slipped out, "Why haven't we had sex yet?" Daryl was a little taken back but not to shocked at the question, he hummed, "Honestly not a clue, I like you to much to mess anything up." Maybe the tired feeling was making his lips a little loose to. He paused before continued, "I've only had meaningless sex. Nothing with feeling behind it." He smirked down to your hazy eyes, "Why? You tryin to get in my pants?" You chuckled adding a little shrug, "Perhaps. Take me out to dinner and we'll see how the night goes from there." That made Daryl's heart beat a little harder. Of course he has thought about it before just didn't know how to act on it with you. He held you a little tighter to him, goofy smile to his face, "Yes Ma'am."
Take you out to dinner he did. Nothing to fancy but by the end of that night you offered him to follow you inside. You were laughing while bumping backwards into things as you both kissed. You stripping buttons down his shirt when he paused face looking uncomfortable. You stopped at the look. He sighed squeezing his eyes tight. Reminding himself it was you. "Uh sorry, just forgot to mention- just look fer yourself..." You softly pulled the shirt down off of him. Revealing scars along his body.
You dragged a finger along one. You look up at him with round eyes. He looked away before saying, “M’ Daddy was a drunk.” You intake air and release it at the information. You leaned down and kissed the scar you touched. Everything turned slow from that point, more sensual. He rolled into you at a pace he never had before. He was used to chasing a feeling, getting it over with. But every time he would push into you he couldn’t help but love the groans you made. You sure loved the noises subconsciously coming out of him as well. You would move up into him. The slow motion had sent you crazy. Leading you to claw at him begging for more. He didn’t go faster but harder.
Your moans filled your bedroom. Daryl was sucking on your neck while rutting into you. He was huffing out air and grunting in exertion. The tight clench he felt around him damn near knocked the wind out of him. He had pulled out and rested his head on your chest while trying to catch his breath. You dug your hands into the back of his hair.
That night lead to many more like it. Which is what lead you to the current situation going on. You were in the bathroom staring at a positive pregnancy test. Not just one but three. You sat on the floor contemplating, 'How did this happen?' 'Do I keep it?' 'How do I tell Daryl?' You and Daryl had been only officially dating for 3 and a half months now. The first test had you in denial, the second had you begging. The third had you close to acceptance. At least you weren't ugly crying anymore. Before anything you needed to tell Daryl. So you called him over saying it was urgent.
He opened the front door and jogged to your room seeing you crisscross on the bed looking distraught. He kneeled down at the front of your bed looking up at you. You took in a nervous breath before talking, "If you need a moment after I tell you this, its okay, I wont be mad." Daryl's heart dropped to his ass, 'were you about to end stuff between them?'
"I'm pregnant."
His eyes slowly widened and he looked down to your stomach then back to you. He abruptly stood up then paused again. His mind moving a mile a minute but also not at all. The one thing to click was "A father? ME?' He slowly walked out the room. You sat there with tears burning in your eyes watching him leave the room. He paced back and forth hand running into his hair. The fight or flight in him was telling him to run, he was overwhelmed. Then he heard a small sniffle come from the room he had just come from. That stopped him in his tracks. He thinks he loves you. You both hadn't gotten to saying it out loud to each other. He didn't know what love felt like but this was what he imagined it to be. He hated to see you cry. Made him feel like maybe he would to if he didn't fix your tears. When he heard you he slowly made his way back into the room. Realizing you were most likely as terrifies as him, more so even.
You felt his arms around you making you cry harder. You had run the possibility of him leaving in your mind. Fully aware of his lack of a good father in his life. When you pulled away to look at him he also had tears going down his face. It was the first you have seen him cry. You had now put your arms around his middle and pulled him down to now lay on top of you. You had a tight hold on him and he you. You both calmed down and you knew he wasn't leaving, then he also whispered into you, "I've got ya. Both of ya."
It was rough that first day. It didn't feel real. You told Daryl how you were going to make a appointment in the morning. You asked if he was wanting to go with. He had slowly nodded deep in thought. You had said they could talk about everything in time.
You both had time.
You had an appointment in a week, the receptionist suggesting you go and buy prenatal vitamins before then. You also broke the news to your Aunt, she was supportive. Saying she would love to help with anything you needed. You and her walked a few blocks to a small store connected to a pharmacy. You looked to the shelves of pills. You held two big bottles, different brands, of prenatal vitamins. The sound of screaming alerting you to a disturbance in the store. You turn to your Aunt with a questioning look. You both peaked around the aisle spotting someone on top of the other, a fight perhaps?
Gun shots to your left making you jump. You turned seeing a man backing down the aisle beside you shooting rounds into a woman approaching him. You witnessed the women not even flinch to each shot. Your Aunt pulled you by the shoulder backwards down the lane. Another person who was pale with foggy eyes rounded the corner. It grabbed your Aunt and before you could blink took a bit out of her neck. You watch in horror as she dropped to the ground with that person on top of her. Blood from her throat being ripped out had splattered across your face. You screamed terrified. The lady the man had been shooting at now turned the corner from the aisle they were in. Now she was covered in blood though. You look down to your Aunt who had stopped moving. The thing taking notice of you. So you ran.
You had just seen your Aunt being brutally murdered. You ran out the door of the building pill bottle still in hand. You saw people running, cars crashing. Others getting hit by cars. It was a nightmare but you felt like you need to keep moving. You ran down the road back to your house. Dodging anyone covered in blood.
Daryl had kicked the door open to your house. Merle was packing stuff into the truck across the road. He screamed your name looking for you anywhere. When he couldn’t find you he ran back to the car, “I can’t find her!” Merle rolled his eyes, “Forget about her! She probably died someone where let’s get are asses out of here!” Daryl yelled back at him with rage. “THE IS NO WAY IN HELL IM GOING ANYWHERE WITHOUT HER!” The yell had shocked Merle. Daryl had never talk to him like that. “We can find you a new lady we gotta go!” Then Daryl did something more unexpected. He shoved Merle back. He had hit the side door of the truck, Merle was about to hit him when he yelled, “She’s pregnant man!”
Daryl had a panicked and pained expression on his face. He started to stuttered out, “I-I gotta go look—“ The sound of his name being yelled from a distance made him turn in the direction. He was relieved to see you running full speed toward him. His relief flooded by panic at the sight of blood painted across your face and cloths. He ran the rest of the way to you. Crashing into each other in an embrace. You struggled to regain breath after how long you were running. Daryl had held your face seeing were the blood came from. Tears forming in your eyes, “It’s not mine…” Merle’s voice cutting in, “Come on love birds we gotta go now!”
Daryl lead you to the car opening the door and making you jump in, “Stay here I’m going to get some of your stuff.” He ran off back to your house and Merle started tightening the cables to the bike in the back. He sat down in the driver seat and looked over to you. You had two pill bottles on your lap and you stared at your hands shaking. He then noticed all the blood on you and decided to keep his mouth shut. Daryl ran back throwing a duffel bag in the back before going to the passenger side. You sat in the middle still a little stunned. Like a bird who flew into glass.
Daryl’s arm went behind your head resting on your shoulders. You leaned into him. Merle had started to peel out of the space driving off into a direction. You heard little of the talk between them. Choosing a quarry they know to get away from the towns and head into the woods.
All you knew was the world was changing.

pulling into the driveway of the cabin; turning off the car. “we're here.” both girls jumping out of the car. “my god yn you need your license revoked.” yeojin said , yoon nodding in agreement. “oh please we survived.”
“yeah we did, barely we barely fucking survived.” you scoffed climbing out of the car. “don't forget we have to drive back.” you said. “yeah unfortunately so let's have fun now just in case we don't make it back home.” you rolled your eyes, smiling because you were happy; happy to be here with your friends. “let's have fun , let's go into the house it's cold.”
“we're here!” you shouted , your suitcase dragging behind you. “where is everyone.” yeojin walked around the cabin. “kitchen.” you made your way to the kitchen , hearing all the voices. “yn!” jungwon jumped off the chair , hugging you. “won , we do go to the same school , i see you every day.” you chuckled, wrapping your arms around the boy. “and you still manage to not see me for days at a time.” he said. “just like when we were kids and lived in the same home.”
“hey yoon.” your brothers cheeks red as he talked to your friend; you shook your head , jake coming up next to you. “look what i got.” he ushered you to look down , a small bag filled with the green leafy substance. “don't tell sunoo , he told me yesterday not to bring it.” you nodded. “later?” he raised his eyebrows , you nodded. “later.”
“where is sunoo?” you looked around for the host. “him jay natty and julie went shopping at the market.” you nodded. “your room is upstairs.” ni-ki said. “it's 5 bedrooms , the couples get there own of course— so that's sunoo and jay , julie and natty and sunghoon and mina.” heeseung rolled his eyes , eyebrows raised. “hey yn let's pretend to be a couple so we can share a room together.”
“absolutely not , she'll sleep with yeojin and yoon and you'll sleep with us.” jungwon said. “take your bags upstairs.” you scoffed. “who's the elder here?” he was quick to fight back. “who's the smartest.” you scoffed. “i am.” he mocked you. “bullshit we both know i'm the smartest.”
“who's the brokest?” his lips formed a pout. “she won bro let it go.” jake laughed. “just go put your things up, they should be back soon.” the three of them making your way up the steps to the room. “oh my god , when did sunoos parents have all this money.” you were in awe with the room. “sunoo will forever pay for any outing from here on out.”
the three of you just dropping your luggage off , you sat down on the bed. “you coming back down?” you nodded. “yeah , just need a minute.” yeojin stopped , sitting down next to you. “you okay?” you smiled. “fine , just need a second.” the two girls respected that. “just come down when you're ready, okay?” they left you alone , you let out a sigh— he wasn't there; you can't believe that was the first thing on your mind , but old habits die hard you guess.
hearing how he and mina would be sharing a room made you sick , of course it's not like you could say anything without raising suspicions. you began to overthink everything — was this a good idea? coming here? you had only made up with him, but the feelings you always harbored for the boy never went away, and now you're here with him— and his girlfriend, the same girl who pretended to be your friend for years in front of everyone, but behind closed doors was a monster. you couldn't blame them for inviting her since you never even said anything.
you stood up; you weren't gonna let this ruin your trip, you tapped your cheeks , looking into the mirror. “you aren't in highschool anymore , pulling yourself together.” you said to yourself. “you're hot.” you opened the door , stepping out of the room — crashing straight into a body. “oh shit yn!” you heard his voice. “you okay?”
you stood up , brushing yourself off. “i-im fine.” you cringed , “i’m fine.” he nodded. “you're here?” he said , you nodded , finally realizing his state , which was naked , well he did have a towel covering his lower half. “oh shit , i just was showering.” he covered his body. “i was on my way to my room.” he pointed and you realized; his room was right next to yours. “it's great you're here,” he said — and you wish you could stop staring at him. “yn?” you looked up at him. “you sure you okay , you look like you've seen a ghost.”
you were about to say something; but you both were interrupted. “yn what's taking you so- oh?” natty stood there , eyes looking in between the two of you. “i accidentally bumped into her.” sunghoon said. “why are you naked?” natty turned to you , you shook your head no. “i was just coming down stairs.” you quickly confessed. “yoon told me you were up here and you seemed upset.” sunghoon turned to you. “upset? are you okay.”
“i’m fine i swear.” natty grabbed your hand. “your girlfriend is downstairs and she annoyed sunoo the entire trip to the market.” he sighed , nodding. “here i come.” she hummed. “yeah , make sure you're clothed , let's go yn.” she dragged you away. “he's good looks good.” she said. “i see why you like him.” your face was red. “don't let anyone know i said that.” you nodded , both of you making your way down the steps.
you greeted everyone who was at the market; mina standing on the other side of the island , shooting daggers into the side of your face, she wanted you to look at her; and thanks to your brother who you couldn't blame really— you were forced to look at her. “yn aren't you gonna say hi to mina?”
you gave the girl a tight lipped smile. “hello.” she walked over to you , wrapping her arms around you , your eyes widened. “it's been so long since we've had a vacation together , i can't wait to have so much fun with you.” she squeezed you tight , what most people would think is a cute old friend meet up after a while , almost half of you in that room knew otherwise. “yn help me out the groceries away , the rest of you go find something to do.” sunoo pulled you away from the girl. “the hell is wrong with her.”
you and sunoo prepare the food for jay to cook , gossiping while chopping the veggies for the soup. “hoonie , come!” you heard the shrill of minas voice , looking behind you at the couple, sunghoon made eye contact with you , just as the girl wrapped her arms around him. “don't mind her , she's just trying to get under your skin , look.” you turned back to them , sunghoon was grabbing her wrist , pushing it down , you couldn't help but smile.
after jay got finished cooking; all of you sat down to eat; the boys cleaned the kitchen up while the rest of you got everything ready for the game night. “soju , where is it?” julie pointed to the kitchen. “i'll get it.”
“i need the soju.” you walked into the kitchen. “can't you get it yourself?” heeseung asked , plastic gloves on his hands. “yeah , but i bet you'd look much cuter getting it for me.” you winked. “here.” sunghoon handed you the bottles of alcohol. “oh thank you.” he smiled , nodding. you took the bottles walking out of the kitchen. “i got them.”
while everyone was cleaning a few of you showered ; putting on your pajamas for the night , before making your way back down the steps. “those are your pajamas?” jungwon asked. “should i go put on the onesie i keep just in case my brother wants to be in my business?” you sat on the couch , the fire going warming the living room. “her pajamas are fine won , let your sister breathe.” jake said. “thank you love.” you sat down next to him.
“you two are cute , aren't they cute hoonie?” mina asked. “i always thought they'd be cute together even in highschool.” you and jake looked at each other , then at the girl. “yeah i guess.” sunghoon mumbled under his breath. “wait.” ni-ki said , the youngest one clearly not reading the room. “i thought jake and yn were rivals in highschool?”
after a interesting game night; having to endure minas side comments; it wasn't all that bad though, you had your friends making you laugh— not to mention catching sunghoon staring at you multiple times , smiling when you would register him, your face would turn red and you'd had to put your head down , blaming it on the alcohol. “okay , maybe we should stop , we all know how yn gets when she's drunk.”
you rolled your eyes at yoon , about to speak up when you heard mina speak up. “you're still a sloppy drunk yn , i thought you'd grow out of that in freshman year of university.” the room went silent for a second. “what's that supposed to mean?” sunoo asked. “oh nothing of course , that's just how me and yn play.” she looked at you. “right yn?” you nodded. “i guess.” you shrugged , feeling like that girl from highschool again. “im actually tired , I'm gonna head up.” you stood from your seat. “good night everybody.”
“has she lost her fucking mind , what gives her the right to say something like that.” sunoo said. “shh , she's next door.” natty said. “i don't care , i only invited her because of sunghoon and he doesn't even seem like he wants her here , no one wants you here!” sunoo yelled , yeojin covering his mouth , you a giggled quietly. “i swear yn all he did was look at you.” yoon said. “and how would you know if you were too busy staring at her brother.” sunoo said you gagged. “gross.”
“hey.” jay knocked on the doors. “i guess that's my que.” sunoo stood up. “mines too , julie is probably waiting for me.” you nodded. “we have to get in relationships , it's always us three.” yeojin groaned. “we're gonna be old cat ladies.” she said. “hot old cat ladies.” you said , she nodded. “you got a point.”
the night slowly came over the cabin; it was still, quiet, everyone probably sleep on laying down , settled in for the night— except the people next to door. “they’ve been arguing for 30 minutes.” yeojin groaned , eyes closed. “i can't hear what they're yelling about.” yoon snoring beside you. “i don't care , some people are trying to sleep.” she shouted , the arguing ceasing. “see.”
she quickly fell back to sleep , you got up out of bed after removing yoon from on top of you. getting out of bed. the floor cold , making you shiver as you head towards the door , opening it — only to find sunghoon in front of it , about to knock. “oh hi.” you said. “hey.” he whispered. “i see you're still a night owl.” you nodded. “that and yoon snoring.” he smiled. “im sorry you had to hear that.” he said. “she's sleep now so.” you waved him off. “yeojin was just sleepy don't mind her.”
“yeah and im still sleepy , so if you're gonna talk get out.” your face turned red , you stepped out of the room. “she's like you.” you scoffed. “im offended.” you said. “she's tens times crazier.” he laughed. “crazy nonetheless.” you both stood in the hallway , before you spoke up. “you want some hot cocoa?”
you both made your way to the kitchen , where he watched you prepare the drinks , your back turned to him , allowing him to look at you a little longer. “here.” you handed him a cup. “let's go sit.”
taking a seat on the couch , taking a sip of cocoa. “so tell me , why were you two fighting?” he frowned. “i told her the comment she made about you.” he said. “told her it wasn't cool , that you were friends and she was wrong.” you tapping the rim of the mug. “you two are friends right?” he asked. “i haven't talked to since…” you trailed off. “oh.” he said. “it's fine , some people just- things change.”
“that day you called.” he started. “you don't have to- no i want to tell you.” he said. “that day you called , i didn't know you were on the phone.” he said , “and i didn't mean it like that.” you sat your cup down. “how did you mean it then?” you were ready to have the awkward conversation if it meant putting it in the past and moving forward. “you said it meant nothing to you.”
“i know , but it was a lie.” he confessed. “i was upset.” he said. “why , did i do something wrong?” you asked. “you don't remember?” he said. “believe me hoon , i think i would've remembered.” you said. “well mina , she told me , she told me you slept with me out of pity , she told me how you said you felt bad because you'd never feel the way i felt about you , and i still followed you around like a puppy , i only slept with her because i was drunk , she took me back to my frat , she came on to me and i guess i just let it happen.” his eyes were in his lap , your lips were flat. “i never said that.” you said , he looked up at you. “what?”
“i never said that , why would i sleep with you out of pity?” you asked. “but mina- she lied , hoon.” you said. “i only told her we slept together cause she kept pressing the issue.” you said. “so you didn't feel bad for me?” he asked. “why would i feel bad hoon , we both lost our virginities that night , and i never thought you followed behind me like a puppy , if anything i followed you around , against my brothers wishes.”
she was behind this the entire time , she was the reason you and him basically were at each other's throats. “why would she do that? you two were friends , why would she lie like that?” you stood up. “where are you going?” he asked still sitting. “to murder her in her sleep.” he quickly grabbed your arm. “no.” he said , “no? she ruined everything.” you exclaimed , throwing your hand up.
he listened to you get louder and louder , the house surely were to wake if you got louder and louder about how you were gonna kill her. “yn , calm down.” he said , but you weren't listening. “yn please.” you still were going off , he wasn't gonna lie he missed this part of you , when you would ramble on and on about nonsense— back then it made him want to kiss you to shut up.
“i swear to god as soon as the sun comes up , im gonna-” it happened so fast , you couldn't even catch yourself, because he was the one pulling you down , his lips on yours before you could even say anything , your eyes were wide as he held the back of your neck , your body in his arms as his lips danced with his…
you pulled away , gasping for air. “please don't slap me.” you didn't know what to do , so you laughed , which made him laugh. “you've traumatized me.” he said. “oh god what did we do?” you said. “we kissed.” he said. “yeah and you have a girlfriend, as much i want to punch the bitch , im not a homewrecker.”
“we aren't together.” he said. “huh?” you finally sat up. “your brother was the one to set that up , i said i’d go on one date , the date which you came to.” he said. “i was so mad.” you confessed. “i could tell.” he said. “like you wanted to take her head off.”
“that's still on the table.” you said. “no need.” he said. “i’ll tell her tomorrow , tell her that we were never a couple.” he said. “why?” you asked , he tilted his head. “what?’ he smiled , shaking his head. “god how did you live an entire year without me.” he grabbed the back of your neck again , pulling you into another passionate kiss , holding your chin. “what does this mean?” you asked when he pulled away.
“are you joking?” he asked , you laughed. “maybe you should kiss me again and find out.” he smirked , biting his lower lip. “still a tease.” he kissed your lips. “your lips taste like chocolate.” he laughed. “of course you'd say something like that right when im kissing you.” he wrapped his arms around you. “i have to get back to bed , in case the girls wake up , and if someone finds us like this , it won't be good.”
“well if my brother or mina find us it won't be good , sunoo probably planned this.” you said. “let's just lay here a little longer.” he placed his chin on your head. “it's been a while since i've held you in my arms , i want to savor this moment.” he sighed , finally getting what he wanted after a long time , he finally got his one and only true love back again.
you both held hands as you made it back upstairs. “i don't want you sleeping in there with her.” you said , pouting. “i'm not.” he flicked your lips. “where are you sleeping?” you asked. “well since your bed is already full , i'm gonna go sleep on the couch.” he said. “now get to bed , sunoo is forcing us out in the cold tomorrow.” he said , you reached up to kiss his lips. “good night hoonie.” he hummed , waiting for you to shut the door , before he made his way back down stairs.
you climbed into the bed , getting back under the warm covers , yoons arms around your waist as she slept , you smiled , reminding yourself to tease her in the morning. “get out of this bed once again to go play cuddle time with him and i’ll kill you myself.” she said sleepily. “I'll tell you what happened in the morning.” you whispered. “you better , good night.”
you fell asleep that night with a smile on your face , your head full of sunghoon.

Wayne was staying with a friend who, unfortunately, couldn't house anyone else, so Eddie would have to continue to stay with Steve while they waited for their new place to be ready. Neither one of them was complaining about it. Wayne decided to prepare Steve for living with Eddie.
"You should know that once he's all healed up, he's probably going to go back to sleepwalking. He does some pretty weird shit when he sleep walks," Wayne said.
"Like what?" Steve asked.
"Oh, you'll find out, son," Wayne replied with a smirk.
"Wait, does this have anything to do with the fact that at the trailer, his lock for his bedroom was on the outside of his door?" Steve asked.
"You'll find out," Wayne smirked and left. "Remember, never wake a sleep walker."
"Okay, that wasn't cryptic at all," Steve said and brought it up with Eddie.
"Oh, yeah, I have no idea what that's about. He's always said he doesn't tell me because he doesn't want to embarrass me," Eddie said, narrowing his eyes. "It makes me wonder if he's fucking with me. I don't think I sleep walk at all."
Shortly after he healed up enough, Steve quickly found out that Eddie did, in fact, sleep walk. Steve had gotten up in the middle of the night to get himself a drink of water when he found Eddie standing behind the kitchen island. He wasn't wearing a shirt, and Steve hoped he wasn't completely naked.
"Just shopping," Eddie said in a thick country accent, his eyes closed.
"Shopping?" Steve couldn't help but ask.
"Baby got bit," Eddie said.
"The baby got bit?" Steve asked, smiling.
"By bat," Eddie said.
"Whose baby?" He asked.
"Our Dusty," Eddie said. "Need meds."
"Well, you don't have to worry about that. I found the ointment and put it on the baby. He's sleeping peacefully. If you go to bed now, I'll show you the cutest little hat Grandpa Wayne bought for Dusty," Steve said, struggling not to laugh.
"Mkay," Eddie said.
He moved out from behind the island and started moving out of the kitchen. Yeah, Eddie was stark naked. Steve tried not to look at his ass as he walked behind him to follow him up the stairs, picking Eddie's discarded clothes as he did so. He followed him into his mother's bedroom and watched as Eddie slipped on one of his mother's flowery nightgowns that she never wore and then fell face forward onto his parents' bed. Steve grinned. He could undress him, put his clothes back on him, and bring him back to his room, or he could leave him there. Steve decided to leave him.
"Quick question," Steve said when he called Wayne.
"He slept walked?" Wayne chortled.
"Yeah, why the hell didn't you warn me that he would do it completely naked?" Steve asked.
"Shit, he usually wears his boxers," Wayne said.
"I guess he did that special just for me," Steve said sarcastically.
"Guess so," he cackled.
"You're a menace," Steve said.
"You know, one time I caught him halfway through the park trying to lure a feral raccoon so he could breastfeed the damn thing. Luckily, I caught him before he could get rabies. I put a lock on the door after that, one of those where you leave the key in the lock," Wayne said.
"Last night, he was shopping for medicine because our baby Dusty got bit by a bat," Steve said.
"Boy must be baby crazy. Well, I figure he's your problem now, son," Wayne said.
"Thanks," Steve replied.
Eddie stumbled in, still wearing his mother's dress.
"What the fuck happened last night?" Eddie asked.
"You slept walked," Steve replied.
"I did not! You take that back!" Eddie shrieked.
"You did. You went shopping in my kitchen completely naked and then put on my mother's dress," Steve said.
"Yeah, right," Eddie scoffed.
"Well, what do you think happened? Do you think that tiny elves kidnapped you, brought you to my mother's room, undressed you, and put my mother's dress on you?"
". . .yes."
Steve groaned and slapped his hand to his face.
"Good luck, you're going to need it," Wayne laughed before hanging up the phone.
Eddie started twirling and squatting right in front of him.
"Ooh, I like the way it swooshes around my legs. I wonder if they have this in black," Eddie said and leaned all the way over to look under the dress, his hair falling forward.
"What the fuck are you doing?" Steve asked.
"Trying to see if I can suck my own dick," Eddie said.
Steve looked at him in disbelief. It was hard to believe that he was going to spend the rest of his life with this guy. He was going to be a part of his life whether Eddie wanted him romantically or platonically. It was going to happen.

Babies on the Brain
George Weasley x reader
Requested by @hahahafucku
Request gist: smut where George sees you holding Fred baby and he feels the need to give you one of his own.
A/N: thanks for the request. I carried on Fred and Angelina’s romance (Freds not dying in my world and George is ending up with the reader instead). I've never been good at writing for breeding kinks (I say like I'm good at writing other things) so I'm sorry if it sounds cliche or cringy or if it's just downright terrible. I don't know if I went a bit overboard on the before smut stuff.
T/W: unprotected sex, soft dom George, breeding kink, praise, kitchen counter sex, ginger baby (jk)
Tumblr media
You and George had met in your first year of Hogwarts but your slow build up to a couple started after your fourth year. You had known him for years. His parents loved you, his siblings loved you, and he adored you. You loved his family, from his caring mum, to his mischievous twin, and finally his young sister (who was thrilled to have another girl in the family).
Speaking of George's mischievous twin, you couldn't believe the news when you heard that he was going to be a father. This was a boy who (with his twin) had set a firework dragon on a ministry of magic worker, had stolen a flying car, and had tested joke shop products on first year students back in Hogwarts. He was going to be a brilliant dad.
Those months went by with you and George helping Fred and Angelina with anything they needed, from trips to St Mungos to shopping for baby accessories. Throughout this time, George began to keep a closer eye on you. He’d zone out when you recommended baby grows to get his future niece or nephew or when you’d buy baby products so that the expecting parents were prepared.
A week after Angelina gave birth, she and Fred brought the little one round to meet the family. A little boy who already shared the Weasleys trademark fiery hair. Angelina passed him to you, letting you hold the baby whilst she went for a well deserved rest (Molly had persisted that she looked tired and could take a nap in Fred’s old room). You bounced the little baby in your arms, unaware of your boyfriend watching you from the doorway.
He didn't want to admit it, but seeing you with a baby in your arms made him weak in the knees. He wanted it to always be like this. He wanted the baby in your arms to be his. He'd always thought about having kids with you someday, but this was a wake up call. And the call was answered by that voice inside of him, telling him to make you his and only his.
————————————————————————
Once you got home to the small house that you and George shared, you went to the kitchen to get a glass of water. All you had been talking about all afternoon was how adorable Fred’s baby was with his tiny button nose and little toes. George stalked up behind you and wrapped his arms around your waist, his face immediately going to the crook of your neck to press soft kisses to the skin.
“You’d make such a perfect mum to our kids”.
His words made you freeze. At first, you didn't think you’d heard him correctly, since his face was still tucked into your neck. But he made sure that you would listen.
“I bet you’d look so beautiful carrying our baby. So full and swollen…so full because of me”.
At this point, he was slowly rocking his hips against your ass. His cock slowly got harder while he left kisses along your collarbone. Small breathy moans slipped past your lips, his words and grinding getting you wetter by the second. You pushed your hips back against his, wanting nothing more than for George to take the hint and fuck you into the countertop. His hand splayed across your stomach through your clothes, muttering a soft “Want me in here, sweetheart?”. Your small whimper and frantic nodding had him smiling to himself. He wanted you to admit that you wanted this, he needed you to admit that you wanted him to do this.
“Need you to tell me what you want, love. Tell me how much you want to be full of my cum”. His breath on the shell of your ear caused you to shiver and turn your head as much as you could to look him in the eye. “Please George, fuck me. Fill me up. I want to be full”. Once he made you beg, he pulled your dress up and pulled your underwear to the side, knowing that it would take too long to pull them off. George pushed his trousers and boxers down, before pushing into you with one thrust that knocked the air from your lungs. His pace was quick and desperate from the moment he was inside of you. His cock felt amazing. You had both had sex without protection before but it felt somehow better when you didn't have to worry or take precautions. Your moans were sultry and erotic, and George swore that he had never heard a prettier sound (apart from the sound of his hips slapping against the plush of your ass).
His hand trailed its way down to tease and play with your clit, wanting to make you cum first. He had always insisted on cumming after you. His mouth was next to your ear in a second, his voice dripping with lust. “That's it sweetheart, milk my cock like a good girl. Show me how much you want me to cum deep inside you. Cum for me and I’ll stuff you so full of my cum that you’ll be carrying twins”. His thrusts got sloppier but his small circles on your clit got more determined. All it took was one final thrust to have you cumming around his cock, your walls clenching tighter than before. George's hold on you got tighter as his cum flooded your insides, not a drop going to waste.
After you had both caught your breaths and calmed down, he pulled his cock out. Pulling your underwear to its correct spot before whispering in your ear “Keep it all in there love, I’ll check tonight and if even a drop is gone, I’ll just have to fill you up again”

“How are you so good at that?” Rutger asked his girlfriend as he took a break from stirring the ingredients for some more sugar cookies, letting go of the plastic spatula to stretch his sore fingers from mixing. His eyes were trained on Stella who stood at the island, leaning forward as she carefully piped icing onto the batch of sugar cookies the couple had made earlier.
The couple were alone at her brother's lake house, her brothers, their friends and her parents all out doing last minute Christmas shopping. The house was filled with the wonderful aroma of some Christmas candles Ellen had bought and the smell of the many batches of cookies they had made. If you looked outside the windows, you would see everything was covered with snow. And the faint sound of Christmas music playing from the radio on the counter made the home feel even more lovely.
Stella stood straight and rolled her shoulders to ease them from being hunched over for so long, setting down the white icing bag on the counter and tilting her head to smile at him “Many years of practice, me and Luke were the only ones my mom would trust with helping her” stella scooped up the small drop of icing almost dropping out of the piping bag with her finger, bringing it up to her mouth to suck it off, smiling cheekily at rutger “Quinn and jack always ate all the ingredients.
“You mean they were the ones that would get caught” Rutger laughed as he went back to mixing the dry ingredients, after they added the wet ingredients, he would soon have to use his hands. Stella laughed and moved away from the island, her slippers shuffling against the floorboards of the kitchen as she moved to stand next to him at the counter next to the oven. She leaned against his left side, resting her chin on his shoulder after she placed a soft kiss on his gray short sleeve clad shoulder. Her eyes glanced down at his flexing forearm from mixing before looking up at him with her brown doe eyes “Exactly.”
Rutger looks away from the Christmas themed mixing bowl and to his girlfriend, he gets lost in her enchanting eyes for a few moments before he gives her a small smirk “My sneaky girl” Stella feels her cheeks instantly warm up at the way he uttered his words. He felt his smirk turn to a grin when he noticed the way her cheeks flushed, Stella bumped her hip into his before stepping back from him. She refuses to walk into his trap and decides to go back to working on the cookies, not before landing a nice slap on his ass. Giggling quietly to herself at the sound of surprise leaving his lips.
Rutger turns his head to look back at her, ready to complain how it's not fair that she can slap his ass, but he can't slap hers, she had made it clear before they got to the lake house that they can't be as touchy at the house. Stella already had her back faced to him as she looked down at the island, picking up a tree cookie cutter and a stocking one. “Christmas trees or stockings next?”
“Christmas trees” Rutger picked between the two, knowing that she wants to do Christmas trees next by the way she said it. Stella smiles widely at his choice and sets the tree cookie cutter to the side while she puts the stocking one back in the bag with all the other cookie cutters the family had collected over the years. She cheerfully replies “Great choice” Rutger laughs and starts adding the wet ingredients, making sure to check the laminated piece of paper that had the family sugar cookie recipe. Stella took baking very seriously.
The couple spent the next ten minutes or so singing along to the Christmas music playing, Stella finishing decorating the cookies and Rutger finishing up mixing the last batch of cookies. While rutger washed his hands from the access cookie dough from his hands, Stella started to roll the dough flat on the marble island, struggling to roll out the dough thoroughly. Rutger dry's his hands off with a towel, it of course being Christmas themed. He moves from the sink and stops to stand behind Stella, his chest pressing against her back as he moves his arms around her to take the dowel style rolling pin from her tired hands.
Stella smiles and leans back against her boyfriend, his body heat comforting her, feeling the vibration of him humming along to the song on her back. Stella grinned when she noticed that she didn't have to remind Rutger how thin the dough should be rolled out, he had remembered. She tilts her head to look at his side profile, his eyes focused down as his arms flexed and rolled out the dough. She placed a kiss under his jaw, the action immediately making his cheeks flush.
“What was that for?” Rutger mumbled shyly.
“What do I need a reason to kiss my boyfriend now?” Stella sassily answered him with a question, raising her eyebrow to emphasize her words. Rutger laughs at her sassiness and places a soft kiss on her temple “Never.”
“Oh, I love this song!” Stella excitedly exclaimed, startling her boyfriend for a moment from the loud reaction. Rutger doesn't even have to be asked, he moves one of his arms to let her move out from between him and the island, already knowing what she wants. Stella basically skips over to the radio and turns the volume knob to the right, the song getting louder. The very familiar song “Mistletoe” by Justin Bieber fills up the kitchen.
Rutger tore his eyes from the dough and stopped his hands, a grin on his lips as he watched Stella sway her hips and sing along to the song. She looked so pretty she was wearing green plaid pajama pants that matched with his red ones, she was wearing one of his umich sweaters that looked so big on her, and her hair was in a braid, messy from sleeping in it last night. Her face was bare, and she of course had her grinch slippers on her green sock covered feet. God he was so in love with her.
“I love you” Rutger voiced loudly over the music, Stella stopped her swaying and turned to face a dimpled smile on her face. Stella stepped closer to him, rutger not flinching when her cold hands cupped his face, he was already used to her cold touch. They both closed their eyes when Stella leaned her face closer to his, rutger leaning down a little to capture her soft lips in a kiss. He’s welcomed by the taste of her peppermint ChapStick, and he eagerly continues the kiss, wanting to taste more. Before he could let go of the rolling pan and move his hands to hold her hips, she pulled her lips away. Rutger fluttered his eyes open, his eyes staring into hers as she whispered, her tone filled of love “I love you more.”
“We're just missing the mistletoe” he whispered back, his tone playful as he glanced up at the ceiling above them before back down at her. His heart was racing from the kiss, he would never get used to the feeling he felt from kissing stella. Her eyes sparked and she giggled, her tone playful but serious at the same time “Don't worry, I made Quinn buy some. Trust me we will be utilizing it a lot.”
He kept up his playful tone as he laughed out a response “Oh tons.”
“So, what Christmas movie should we watch this time?” Stella asked as she plopped down on the living room couch, in her hand was the remote as she turned the tv on. Rutger followed her into the living room, being careful not to trip over her slippers by the couch and set the two steaming mugs of hot chocolate that they had just gotten finished making, on the snow globe coasters that were on the coffee table. He plopped down on the couch next her, lifting her legs for them to rest over his lap. His warm hands already absentmindedly tracing shapes on her covered legs.
The couple had just put the last batch of cookies in the oven, well Rutger did since stella’s fear of the oven was still very much real!
“We never did finish the polar express last night” Rutger reminded her, resting his head back against the couch. The couple had started the movie, but they were quick to fall asleep cuddled up in Stella's bed, tired from the long day where they played in the snow with her brothers and their friends. Stella hums in response and goes to her profile on max to resume the movie.
Stella pressed resume on the movie and adjusted her position to move closer to her boyfriend, her legs still draped over his lap, now her head resting on his shoulder and holding onto his arm. Stella’s eyes were trained on the tv as he watched the movie, but Rutger couldn't find himself focusing on the movie, instead his eyes were trained down at her face. Stella was so into the movie that she didn't feel his stare.
Rutgers' heart soured with love as he looked down at his girlfriend, thinking of how wonderful it has been being here with her. It was awkward at first, because of the situation with Luke and Jack but they apologized, and Stella made it all worth it. It felt so domestic to be at her home and baking with her, doing family things, he loved it so much. Seeing her so happy with her family and the Christmas spirit she had. He just found himself falling even more in love with her as the trip goes on.
Rut moved his left hand from her calf and moved to cup her cold cheek, gently tilting her head to look up at him. As soon as they made eye contact, Rutger leaned down to lock her lips in an eager kiss, both of their eyes closing as their lips touched. Their lips moved perfectly against each other as if they had been kissing for years, the taste of her peppermint ChapStick flowing through his senses in the best way. Stella was a little surprised by the sudden kiss, but she was quick to tilt her body more to face him better, letting him lead the kiss.
They didn't know how long they had been kissing for, both of them pulling away a few times from the passionate kiss to catch their breath before quickly jumping back into the kiss. Rutgers hands rubbed her sides while Stella's hands rested on his chest and shoulder as their tongues moved against each other, taking advantage of the empty house to make out on the couch without the fear of getting caught. Just as he moved one of his hands under her sweater, she abruptly pulled away from the kiss at the sound of the alarm going off.
“The cookies are ready!” Stella exclaims, quickly moving her legs from his lap and sliding her feet into her slippers before rushing into the kitchen. Rutger groaned at the interruption, throwing his head back against the couch as he caught his breath from the kiss, his mind exploring the thought of them letting the cookies burn and continue. He heard Stella call his name from the kitchen, knowing that she would need him to get the cookies out. He licks his lips tasting her peppermint ChapStick on his lips before getting up from the couch and making his way to the kitchen.
“Coming pretty girl.”

Until The Stars Go Cold
Summary: You thought that you and Kixx had something special with how he kissed you, how he held you, how he looked at you. But one day, he and all of his brothers vanished, and you were left behind with nothing more than one of his shirts to remember him by.
Pairing: Clone Medic Kix x F!Reader
Word Count: 1873
Warnings: Angst, but there's a happy ending
A/N: So, I was in a Kix mood, and so this was born. The AU here is that the clones figured out that they were created as weapons against the Jedi and fled the Republic, down to the youngest Tubie, without telling anyone.
Click HERE to be added to my taglist!
Tumblr media
You pull your knees up to your chest and lay your cheek on your knees as you stare, unfocused, out the window at the lights of Coruscant.
It has been one year and three months since the clones vanished.
A year and three months since the last time that you saw Kix.
Since the last time you felt his warm hands on your face, saw his broad smile, and heard his comforting voice.
You curl the sleeves of the shirt you’re wearing into your fists and bury your face in the collar. Your shirt, Kix’s shirt, no longer smells like him. Hasn’t smelled like him in months. But if you close your eyes and pretend, you can almost smell his body wash on the material of the shirt.
You thought, with time, the hurt of being left behind would fade.
But it hasn’t.
Every day is harder than the one before. And, at this point, you don’t leave your house anymore. You have your groceries delivered, and you work from home. Only your oldest friends still visit, though you insist on cooking for them rather than going out.
Hell, even your parents don’t visit anymore.
Your mother claims that you depress her, and she can’t deal with it.
That’s fair, you suppose. You depress yourself at times.
A lot of the time.
You wish you knew where he was, where he went. You wish you knew if he was safe. If he was happy.
You wish a lot of things, these days.
A heavy sigh falls from you and you slowly uncurl from the couch when your alarm goes off. It’s gotten to the point where you have to remind yourself to eat, and to go to bed.
You’re pathetic.
No wonder no one wants to spend time with you.
You drag your feet as you head into the kitchen and absently grab a box of noodles. If you make enough, you’ll have enough leftovers for several nights worth of dinner.
Sure, eating the same meal several nights in a row can’t be the best for you, but so long as you’re eating something, you don’t think anyone will give you too hard of a time.
You grab a pot from the dishwasher, fill it with water, and set it on the burner to wait for the water to boil.
While you wait, you lean against the counter and pluck a picture off the fridge.
It’s a photo of you and Kix.
He was your plus one to your sister’s wedding. Your brother-in-law bought him a nice outfit to wear to the wedding, one that matched your bridesmaid dress.
And, while the pair of you were dancing, your mother snapped a quick picture of the pair of you. In the photo, Kix is staring at you with a bright grin on his handsome face, and you’re laughing at something he said.
The both of you look happy.
In your darkest moments, late at night when you’re tossing and turning in bed, you can’t help but wonder if Kix was just pretending. If you were just a placeholder for someone better.
Something better.
And the more time that passes, the harder it is to ignore those thoughts.
You place the picture back on the fridge, next to the other pictures that decorate it, and focus your attention back on the pot of water.
It’s not boiling yet, but you reach out and turn off the burner anyway.
You don’t feel like eating anymore.
You don’t feel like doing anything.
You just want to sleep.
Maybe tomorrow will be better.
Tumblr media
“Not a bad place to set up shop,” Kix glances at his older brother, who isn’t looking at him, but rather peering out the window to look out across the decently sized city that is swiftly growing outside the clinic that they, and all of their other medic brothers, run.
“It’s not half bad,” Kix agrees, his fingers gliding over the pale blue ribbon wrapped around his wrist for a moment before he focuses his attention back on the files he’s meant to be organizing.
“Meaning it’s not half good, either?” his brother asks with a wry twist of his lips, “Come on, even you have to admit that this is a better setup than we ever would have gotten with the GAR or the Jedi.”
Kix rolls his eyes, “The Jedi did their best with what they were given.”
“You can’t tell me that you miss Coruscant.”
Kix leans back in his chair and finally looks at his brother, “No. I don’t miss Coruscant.” His gaze slides away from his brother and settles on the simple picture frame sitting on his desk.
It was taken at a park, his beautiful cyare’s head tucked under his chin, and his arm secure around her shoulders, while he snapped a selfie of them. They’re both drenched in the picture, a sudden storm surprising them both, but she made the best of it and danced with him in the rain while laughing.
Kix reaches out and picks the picture up, a small smile crossing his face as his thumb brushes her face, “No. I don’t miss Coruscant at all.” He repeats, a pang of loneliness making his grip tighten around the picture.
“You know,” His brother leans over his shoulder and plucks the frame from his hand, “You can call her.”
The laugh that falls from Kix is surprisingly bitter, “Yeah? And say what? Hey babe, sorry for up and vanishing on you and not telling you where I was going, but I’m here now.” He snatches the picture from his hand and sets it back on his desk, “No. She probably hates me now. And I don’t blame her for it in the slightest.”
“So…what? You’re going to just sit here and pine over her?”
Kix scowls at him, “Go and get yourself a girlfriend, and then we can talk about pining. Jerk.”
“Hm…what’s her name?”
“...what?”
“Her name? What’s her name?”
“I’m not answering that.”
His brother eyes him for a moment, and then he smirks, “I bet Jesse knows. I’m going to go ask him.” He pulls away from Kix and heads towards the door, “I’m going. Here I go—”
“Di’kut!” Kix flings a datapad at him, “Why do you want to know her name anyway?”
“Uh, so I can call her and get her to tell you to stop being pathetic.”
“Well, now I’m definitely not telling you.” Kix counters dryly, “Don’t you have paperwork to do?”
“Hm? Oh, yeah. Probably. I’ll be back in a bit.”
And then he’s gone, and Kix is left alone with a pile of datapads that still need to be sorted and filed. A loud string of curses falls from him as he realizes that he’s been left alone with all of this work.
Several hours later, he gets word that Rex and several other Captains have left New Mandalore (working name in progress), though Kix doesn’t think much about it.
Rex has a good head on his shoulders, and if he’s leaving their new home it’s probably for a good reason.
Besides, it’s the end of the workday and he just wants to go home and talk to his picture of his cyare and tell her about his day, and about New Mandalore.
Force, he wishes she was here. He wishes he could hear her voice, and feel her gentle fingers against his skin.
He’d sell his arm for the ability to pull her into his arms and kiss her until she’s giggling and breathless.
He just…he misses her.
But he made his choice, and there’s no walking that back.
As he flops back on his bed, his gaze locked on her blinding smile, Kix feels his heartbreak.
He’s probably lost her forever…and the only person he can blame is himself.
Slowly Kix lowers the picture so that it’s pressed against his forehead, regret burning in his chest, “I’m so sorry, mesh’la.” He whispers to the empty room.
Tumblr media
Three weeks later, Rex’s ship returns.
Kix isn’t there to greet them, he’s too busy. It’s easy to forget his heartbreak when he’s working, after all.
However that all changes when there’s a knock on his office door, and then Rex opens the door. He has a small smirk on his face, and Kix can’t help but lean back and eye him suspiciously.
“What did you do?”
“Me? Nothing. I’m innocent.” Rex replies with a growing grin, “Although, you do have a visitor.”
“A visitor? Did someone get hurt on your mission?”
“Not quite.” Rex moves to the side and motions to someone in the hallway.
And then Kix stops, his breath catching in his throat.
His cyare is standing in the doorway. Her hair is shorter, barely brushing her chin, and she’s nervously rubbing the back of her neck and she won’t look at him properly.
Ironically, the first two coherent thoughts that run through Kix’s mind are “she’s stunning” and “what is she doing here?”
“Cyare—” Her gaze lifts from the carpeted floor, and it’s like a punch to the gut. Her face is thinner than it should be, and she has dark circles under her eyes.
She looks about as tired as he feels.
She smiles at him, but it’s a weak, uncertain, smile, “Kix,”
He stands and crosses his office in two large steps. Kix presses a hand to Rex’s shoulder and shoves him out of his office, “Get out.” And then he tugs his cyare further into the room, his hands immediately moving to cup her face after he smacks the button that will lock the door behind them.
“Cyare,” His thumbs lightly caress her cheeks under her eyes, “You’re here. You’re actually here.” His sounds almost breathless, and he really should get ahold of himself, but he had convinced himself that he was never going to be able to touch her again, so he’s giving himself a pass.
“Rex insisted,” She murmurs as she leans into his touch, “Kix, I missed you.”
He leans in and presses his forehead against hers, “I missed you too. I’m…so, so sorry for leaving without saying anything. I should have warned you.”
She shakes her head, her eyes closed, “Rex explained. The safety of you and your brothers is so much more important than my hurt feelings.”
“What did Rex say?”
“That there was something inside you all that would force you to turn against the Republic,” She opens her eyes, “He wouldn’t go into detail, but he did make sure that I knew that you were all safe to be around.”
Well, thank the maker for small mercies, Kix thinks as he leans, heavily, against her.
“I am. We are.”
Her hands, so much smaller and so much softer than his own, come up and brush against his cheeks, “I would like to stay with you…if you’ll have me?”
Kix doesn’t dignify her question with an answer right away. He doesn’t have to, as his lips crash against hers. “Of course, you can stay,” He mumbles in between frantic presses of his lips against hers, “Please stay.”
She leans heavily against him, “Always. For as long as you want me.”
“Forever. Until the stars go cold.”

Hiii love
So, like, can you write where the reader is pregnant with a toxic!rafe child, and she runs away scared for her unborn child, and rafe finds them a few months after they baby is born. If you're not comfortable, I completely understand love
(basically Reader was a kook but then ran away from Rafe, becoming a pouge. Kiara only knows she’s there bc they went to school together.)
Tumblr media
You sit in the small living room thinking to yourself. Were you wrong for running away? I mean you were young..
You then hear baby cries from the nursery. You rush to the room and pick up the crying baby. You sit in the rocking chair next to it and start humming lullabies. As the baby fell into slumber you hear a knock at the door. You remembered that you had called Kiara to babysit for a while , while you go grocery shopping. You set the baby down into the crib and quickly got dress. You button your blue striped white blouse and grab your bag.
You open the door, to see your best friend. “Hey girl.” She said hugging you. You returned the hug. “Well she’s asleep and y’know the rest.” I smiled at her. She steps in the house as you exited. “Hey!” She shouts you look back at the door frame to see a baseball hat being thrown at you. “Be careful!” She says. “ I will.” I smiled at her once again. You get into your old red Cadillac and start driving.
You park your car on the side of your door. You see a familiar car but you shrug it off. As you walk into the market you see missing papers stabled onto the walls. You open the door and grab a basket and start looking in the food isles.
Tumblr media
You get to baby food isle and look through the food choices. You then hear foot steps behind you. “Y/n?” I hear a voice. I look at the person.
topper…
You swallow hard. You step back “y-you’re alive?” “Man, your parents have been worried and Rafe..”you quickly run out to check out. You were lucky that the cashier was fast. You pay while feeling a shorten of breath and felt tear swell up in your eyes.
You throw the grocery in the back of the seat and start driving. The familiar car starts to follow you. Topper..
Making a sharp turn you lose him. You quickly get back onto the road back to home. Carrying the groceries into the kitchen you felt a liquid fill up in your mouth. Running to the bathroom and locking the door, throwing up. Kiara was worried trying to unlock the door. “I’m fine!” You yelled out. “You sure?!” No response. A few bangs on the door made you reply. “Well I have to get going, my parents are going to be mad at my ass if I’m not home.” “Okay..” you replied. Hearing the door close, you brush your teeth and exited the bathroom to check your baby. You see she’s fine and start unpacking the food.
Tumblr media
Later on, night came in and was peaceful. You fed daisy and played and bit , after a while it was her bedtime. You laid her to sleep and started to clean. Sitting down with a cup of tea and relaxing. You hear a knock on the door. You stood up and had seen sprinkles of rain. Opening the door you see a tall figure. Wearing a blue flannel and combat boots, but had a buzz cut. “Y/n!” He said hugging me tightly pushing me further into the house.
“Where have you been.” He said kissing my forehead. I hold onto his wrists. “Rafe..” I whispered to myself. I knock out of it and push him away. “No… no..” a tear fell down my cheek. “Honey, I’ve gotten better, please come back.” He has his hands up in defense. I sit down on the couch. “I’m sorry!” I cried into my knees. “You shouldn’t be sorry, I mean there has to be some kind of reason why you left.” He say sitting on the couch.
“I-i was pregnant…” I sobbed. His face turns white. “You were pregnant with my child?” “Yes, and I’m sorry! I just didn’t want to ruin your life! I mean you have drugs and went out to parties!” I sniffled. “It’s not your fault.. I should be the one apologizing, I should’ve been when you needed me than hanging out with other people.” He expressed. I look up at him with red puffy eyes.
“how did you find me?” You asked. “Topper told me what happened at the market and followed you.” He chuckles.
You wanted a father for your child, and you wanted the actual father. But I wouldn’t have hurt to start seeing someone else. But there a change in his heart. The way he loved you. He knew that the past tense him was not responsible.
So you gave him a chance.
“Can I see them?” He asks lifting my chin up. “Her.” I say. I grab his hand and walked to the nursery. To see a beautiful babygirl. “What’s her name?” “Daisy.”
“you’re favorite flowers.” He smiled.

Tumblr media
The villa had one feature that stood out in particular—a hallway that ran through the base of the house, connecting the kitchen to the open grass area in the back. Even the tiniest gust of wind could collect into a large breeze to combat the sticky heat of the day.
Vada closed her eyes and lifted her arms by her side as she felt the breeze glide through her. She could smell an earthy, hay-like smell of flowers that had been bathing in sunlight wafting in from the garden behind the villa. It didn’t take much to notice; summer in southern France was in full swing.
I could live here, she thought. Four weeks of this? Away from the repetitive scenery of the American suburbs, away from expectations. Only a few minutes since she’s gotten off the car and seen the yellow walls and red bricks of the Mediterranean villa, and she’s been buzzing ever since. She’s never actually left the country before, and the long flight over was jarring, to say the least. But the beauty of what she saw as soon as she landed made up for it.
Mia had instructed her to come along upstairs to put her things away; Vada would be occupying the guest room next to hers. She swore her friendship with Mia Reed started because they both went through a traumatic thing together, but it was moments like these when she was grateful for the perks.
“I could use a nap,” Mia said, rubbing her face.
It was nearly nine in the morning when the girls finished unpacking. Mia’s parents had given them the morning to get settled and get used to the jet lag.
“I’m not too tired,” Vada said, “maybe I’ll go into town for the morning.”
“You sure you don’t need me to come with you?”
“Yeah, it’ll be fun. It’s about time I put my four years of high school French to the test.”
The road into town winded downhill, and she was grateful she used one of the bikes the Reeds had available at their villa, as she would have dreaded the trek back up, had she gone on foot. She mapped out exactly the way into the town square and was determined to check everything out before returning for lunch. Thank god for Google Maps.
She had also bought a paper map of the town in a nearby kiosk and, after nearly two hours of exploring, mapped out a general layout of notable places in town. There was a fountain in the middle of the square in front of a church that Vada would use as a reference for everything; from the Fountain facing the church going left would be the town hall and that little kiosk, going right would be the local post office and the way back to the villa, opposite the church facing ahead lead down a slanted cobblestone alley full of restaurants and gift shops, as well as the way to the beach.
It must have been in the high 80s (30s Celsius) that day, so Vada decided to reward herself with some ice cream in the town square before she headed back. It was so hot that when sitting on a bench in the shades, she still had to try and keep the ice cream from melting all over her lap.
“Lillian’s ice cream is nice, but it melts quickly. You should try Karim’s down the street.”
Vada looked up at the voice in surprise, as it was English that was being spoken to her.
“Oh, totally!” She replied quickly. “How did you know I speak English?”
“I haven’t seen you around here.”
“But I could have also known French, right?”
“Touché, but I also recognize a compatriot when I see one.”
You wore an oversized white button-up that barely skirted past your black shorts, and your flip-flops indicated that you might have had a better idea of what the weather was going to be like as opposed to her in her high-neck basketball shoes. Peaking out from between the hem of your shirt was a necklace in the shape of a hummingbird, dangling and reflected in the sun.
“That obvious, huh?”
“Maybe a little." You grinned and shook your head from side to side. "Only tourists go to Lillian for ice cream.”
“So you’re not one, I assume.”
“I wouldn’t say so, no. My family has been coming here every summer ever since I was eight. These people are probably sick of me by now.” You chuckled.
This is your time, Vada, be smooth. “Lucky for you, you’ll have someone new to entertain.” She grinned and pointed at herself.
. . . Adequate.
The melodic laugh that escaped you gave her a new-found confidence, and she decided that it was to be her new favorite sound.
“Alright, since you seem to know the area so well,” Vada said. “What’s fun to do around here?”
Conversation flowed so easily between the two of you, she had almost forgotten that she only met you 15 minutes ago. Granted, you were also easy on the eye, and Vada would always remember the way the water from the fountain reflected in waves across your skin.
At one point she had started talking about the time her family got stranded in the middle of nowhere on a road trip to Phoenix. Vada felt like she was talking too much, but the way you laughed along with her story made her feel like it wasn’t for naught.
The bell tower of the church rang throughout the square. Vada widened her eyes and checked her phone, it was noon.
"Shit, I have to get back. My host family's gonna wonder where I am." She stood up quickly and collected her bike. The height of the seat and her haste caused her to stumble, and she would have fallen if not for you grabbing her by the arm and holding her up.
"Oh, okay. I’m sure there’s a story about a daytime Cinderella somewhere.”
She looked up and you were smirking. "Vada," she said. Maybe she shouldn’t have told you, Cinderella was fine, you didn’t know each other.
She could barely make out your attempt at her name on your lips before you nodded.
“Y/N.” You held your hand out for her to take. There was that touch that changed the course of her summer, the one touch that set into motion a journey toward a certain feeling that Vada had never felt before.
"Bye, Y/N!" She called behind her before rounding the corner, past the post office, and back to the Reed villa.
Mia had been waiting by the front door and breathed a sigh of relief when she spotted Vada cycling uphill.
"Where the hell have you been? We thought you'd been kidnapped!"
"Wait, could you get kidnapped here?" Vada’s face dropped at the thought, even though she was positively out of breath.
"You could get kidnapped anywhere, V."
"Well, I got lost." She hopped off her bike and set it by the entrance. "My phone died so I couldn't use Maps."
Her friend rolled her eyes and led her inside where a hearty lunch awaited. It was mid-June and apricots were in season for dessert.
Tumblr media
It wasn't until late afternoon the next day that Vada regained the energy to go outside again. The jet lag had finally caught on, and she spent the morning asleep until noon. Mia had suggested going to the beach, which was great because she could see how things were, and either get into the water or take another nap.
Mia—being Mia—wore her bathing suit and a thin cardigan as her attire, while Vada decided on wearing an oversized tee and shorts over her bathing suit.
"Don't freak out. I've invited some friends. Just kids from the area," said Mia, once they arrived at the beach.
Vada stayed back, as Mia was greeted by several people similar in age to her, speaking in French at a pace her high school education couldn’t help her understand.
“This is Vada, she’s a friend from home.”
A curly-headed boy stood up from his lounge chair and sauntered over to give Mia a kiss on each cheek, then looked over to Vada and did the same. “Corentin, but please call me Coco,” he said and took both their bags. Vada didn’t miss the way his eyes lingered on Mia’s form a bit longer than normal.
“Come, Vada! Mia, where have you been hiding this one? I’m Marlène. This is Sasha.” The brunette pulled her by the hand and gestured to the boy sitting next to her. He was slender with blonde hair part in the middle. “We’re about to go into the water if you want to join.”
“Where’s Noémie?” asked Mia.
“Déjà à l’eau. No doubt to show off to the lifeguard.” Sasha snickered, nodding his head towards the water. He took another drag from his cigarette and rested his arm back against Marlène’s chair.
“Speaking of the lifeguard . . .” Vada followed Marlène’s gaze towards . . . you.
Her mouth hung open as she watched you, in red shorts and a white T-shirt, a whistle hanging from your neck. You pulled your sunglasses up to your head and gave Mia la bise.
Of course, she thought. She had hoped to see you again, but only when there was no one else around, and that you’d catch her by surprise when she was alone once more. She’d only met you, but she wished that she could have you all alone, not like a secret, but like a prized possession.
“And just how many people have died while you’re on watch?” Mia teased.
“Zero, but very soon,” you pointed at her, “one.”
When you turned to Vada, her breath hitched. “Hi,” you greeted with that warm smile again. Even in your work attire, she spotted that necklace next to your whistle.
“Y/N, this is—”
“Vada, the daytime Cinderella. We met yesterday in the square.” You replied. “Did I forget to mention I work here?”
Vada was grinning like an idiot, her cheeks tinted pink at the nickname. “Yup, you did.”
“Y/N!” Over jogged a gorgeous girl, even Vada had to admit. Her black bathing suit hugged her curves perfectly, and though her hair was completely wet, the water droplets clinging to her olive skin made her glow. “T'as prévu aller en boîte ce week-end, ou bien? J'ai chopé l'info qu'y a un nouveau DJ en ville, et il envoie du pâté!”
She was clinging onto your arm, and speaking way too fast for Vada to understand, but she picked up on some keywords: ce week-end, and nouveau DJ.
When she finally noticed Vada there, her excitement subsided, but she walked over anyway to greet her, like an afterthought. “Salut. I’m Noémie.”
“Hi. Vada.”
Just as quickly as you arrived, Noémie had led you away, talking your ear off about something that Vada didn’t have the heart to eavesdrop on. Her eyes followed your form, picking up on the way you kept your arms by your side even when Noémie was practically hanging off of you. In a sporadic moment, Vada thought she saw you looking back over her shoulder at the friend group, and maybe toward her.
“Your phone died, huh?” Mia poked her elbow into her side with a teasing grin.
“Shut up,” Vada murmured. “What’s the deal with them anyway?”
“They were together last summer,” Sasha replied, then turned to the others. “Plan cul, how do you say?”
“A fling, but Noémie seems more attached than Y/N ever did,” said Coco.
“No doubt Y/N has already found a new paramour for the summer,” Marlène commented.
“It’s summertime. Anything’s possible.”
Tumblr media
As much as she hated it, you plagued her mind, much more than she cared to admit. She didn’t want to think about what your initial conversation meant to you (if it did at all), or what the lack of words in your second meeting meant. She didn’t want to think about Noémie either, how she seemed so confident to get your attention, and an up-and-down look from her made Vada want to crawl into a hole.
She remembered the handshake. The speed at which she rode away wasn’t entirely to get home in time before Mia’s parents called the police, but to get away from the butterflies that burst in her stomach that moment her hand firmly shook yours. She’d seen how you greeted your friends, but to her, she offered a handshake. Though the gesture itself was completely platonic and can be passed off as a farewell between two strangers, she felt a sense of exclusivity, that American camaraderie you shared with her in a foreign land. Common courtesy as a mode of intimacy. Revisiting it now, Vada recognized it as a sign of attraction and an apprehension to the speed at which it enveloped her.
She would see you around town in your work uniform after your shift, sometimes you’d be talking to people, sometimes you were the buyer yourself. No matter the person though—from the tourists asking for directions to the old owner of the bookstore by the fountain, they always loved you and talked to you like you were their best friend. She’d see you from afar, wanting to talk to you, but then get anxious the moment you spotted her a give her a friendly wave.
Then there were times when you would come by the Reed villa. Philip and Andre always received you like you were an esteemed guest, gifting you fruits from the trees in the backyard. She loved to see how you acted around different people, and to the Reeds who had known you for years, you were awful shy.
“Invite your parents over. We should all have dinner sometime!”
“Oh, my parents aren’t here this summer. My dad’s busy with a conference in Singapore, but they’ll drop by at the end of July.”
Even the times you were invited to stay for supper, it was clear you knew how to hold a conversation over the dinner table. She wondered if you were studying to be a politician because you seemed to charm everyone and had the best manners. Mia would not-so-subtly yield the spot next to you for Vada, and secretly, she was glad to be sitting next to you.
For the first time in her life, she felt a force holding her back, preventing her from reaching out. Maybe it was because she had only known you for a couple of weeks but felt like you’d always been there, like a puzzle finally piecing together.
And every time, right before you left, after you had said goodbye to the Reeds, you’d find her somehow. “Bye,” would be all you said with an adoring smile, but Vada would be thinking about it until the next day.
She and Mia met up with the group again one night, this time at a nearby open-air disco. When she arrived, she could spot Sasha and Marlène already twirling each other around on the dance floor, she was laughing as he spun her around, cigarette between his lips. She felt a pang of envy, imagining that it was your arms around her waist instead as you spun her around without a care in the world, in front of everyone. Let them see. Let them see that you’re mine and I’m yours. If she were being honest, she only agreed to come just so she could see you again. She found you sitting at a table with Coco and Noémie, chatting away.
“Hi.” Her attention was focused on you. She couldn’t be more sober, and she wished she had taken a few puffs before coming.
As if having read her mind, Coco pulled out a couple of joints, lighting one and taking a puff himself before passing it to Noémie.
“You partake?” You shouted over the loud music.
“Oh, she partakes.” Mia nodded enthusiastically. “The first time she did weed she smoked most of my joint. Then proceeded to blabber on nonstop for two hours.”
You let out a laugh. “I like this one!”
She hated, despised even, the overwhelming feeling of wanting to be near you, to impress you, to feel special in your eyes as you were in hers. It was human nature; everyone liked feeling special, but somehow getting validation from you would make her ten times happier. She sat two seats away from you—next to Mia and Noémie—and once in a while, she would try and dart her eyes over to look at you ever so subtly. On a couple of occasions, her heart would jump when she noticed you were already looking back.
A few minutes later, Vada started to feel the effect of the weed, and Mia must have too because she pulled her toward the dance floor. Looking back, she saw you talking to Noémie. You didn’t look too happy and neither did she, having her arms crossed in front of her chest. Then, she walked outside and you followed her impatiently. When you returned, a polite smile was on your face when you noticed her looking for you.
“Are you okay?” She shouted, the weed had made her feel bold.
“Yeah! Everything’s fine.” You shouted back.
It might have been the weed or it was something that’s already been there, but Vada couldn’t take her eyes off of you. She took you by the hand, and there was that same spark of electricity again. You let her guide you, your hands never leaving hers as you moved with her.
It was about a quarter to midnight when everyone decided to split because frankly, everyone was too tired to continue. Vada said goodbye to Sasha and Marlène, the latter of whom gave her a big hug and repeatedly expressed her delight that Vada had decided to join them. Coco, already sober, offered to drive Mia home, but his ride was a scooter.
“Sorry, les gars,” Coco smiled sheepishly and asked Mia if she was ready, to which the girl only nodded.
“I’ll walk you home.” You said quietly, surprisingly timid. “Promise me you won’t turn into a pumpkin at midnight?”
She huffed through her nose and gave you a shove, but she was grinning. It was just the two of you now. Her pride was on the line, and so was her heart.
“Penny for your thoughts?” Your voice cut through the stillness of the night. Before that, the only sounds were that of your shoes brushing against the ground and the soft sighs of the ocean.
“Is everything okay with Noémie?”
You averted your eyes, your hand coming up to play with the hummingbird on your neck.
Maybe she shouldn’t have. “Shit, did I overstep?”
“No, no. It’s fine. It’s just Noë being Noë, she was out of line.” Your walls were up. “We were always close, she was the first friend I made here. And last summer we slept together.”
“Oh.” Her steps faltered.
“I stopped it before it could progress into anything beyond that, though. I’m just not ready.”
Vada nodded slowly. Loud and clear. Maybe that was the signal she needed, the insecure part of her thought it was that, but when she was with you, all she wanted to do was listen to the other part.
“I slept with Mia once, sophomore year.”
You looked over at her, seemingly surprised. “Mia? Huh. Never would have thought.”
“It was just that, though.” She flashed you a smile.
Vada felt that surge of closeness between you, your arm swinging beside her as you walked. The obsession with finding anything to relate to you prompted her to say it, like Hey, I’m like you, I know how you feel. Maybe it wasn’t the best thing to tell you, she might have screwed up.
You mirrored her smile, but something about it told her that your heart wasn’t entirely in it. Tell me what you’re thinking, Y/N. She wanted to get inside your head and know everything you were thinking, to go all the way with that closeness. Even as friends, one has to start from somewhere.
Tumblr media
It was radio silence from you for the next few days. Vada came up with all the excuses as to what it could have been, and when she grew tired and angry at herself for thinking so much about you, she tried to distract herself by doing other things. She helped Philip collect figs from the trees in the backyard; she looked up the fortress nearby you told her about the day you met and biked all the way over there, even though it was a half an hour's ride each way; she finally took out the book she packed with her and began reading it whilst sunbathing. It was starting to feel like a summer that she should be enjoying.
Her mom called and was happy to hear that her daughter was going outside and doing fun things. “The people are nice,” Vada would say, “I met some of Mia’s friends.” And in true Mom fashion, her mom would quickly squeeze in a “Don’t do drugs and use protection” to which she ended the call and almost threw her phone across the room.
She would also call Nick every other day. I met someone, she said one day after having finally gathered the courage to vocalize her crush. Girl, I know. Mia had told him. When? Literally the second day. She said you were so obvious.
It was as if the weather knew too. It started raining all day when she decided to go to the beach one day, souring her mood entirely. She would sit by the entrance in the backyard watching the rain, and sure enough, she was thinking about what you were doing on the opposite end of town.
“It’s unlike you to be so hung up on someone,” Mia told her when they were hanging out in Mia’s room.
“I’m not hung up on someone,” her words trailed at the end, mindlessly flipping through the magazine in front of her.
“So am I just crazy for thinking that you want to pounce on Y/N every three seconds?”
“Okay, but what about you and Coco? He follows you around everywhere like a lost puppy.”
“Coco’s just shy,” her friend blushed. “And stop changing the subject.”
“There’s nothing between us, at least not yet.”
“So you do want something to happen.”
“Shut up! Mia!” She hid her face behind her hands and writhed on Mia’s bed in embarrassment. “I’m not talking to you about this anymore.”
“Alright, alright,” Mia held her hands up as her laughter subsided.
“Look, I just want to—” Vada took a moment. “I want to test the waters, okay? Y/N is special, and I don’t want to ruin anything.”
Mia nodded, understanding. “I just don’t want you to be misled. I mean, you’ve seen how it was with Noémie.”
“I know.” Vada smiled softly. “I know what I’m getting into. Zero expectations.”
She wanted to believe what she told Mia too, but then when she saw texts from you the next day, there was no hiding that a connection was what she so tirelessly wanted, and needed.
hey it’s y/n Sent 3:23pm
mia gave me your number, i hope you don’t mind Sent 3:23pm
call me when you see this? Sent 3:24pm
Damn you, Mia, but also, thank you.
She didn’t work up enough courage to call you until later that night. Of course, it could have been something dire, but then you would have called her first, right? I am such a wimp.
“Hello?”
“Hi,” she rubbed her hands against her shorts. “it’s Vada. You wanted me to call you?”
“Yeah. I was gonna just text you, but I don’t know . . .” You hesitated for a moment. “Anyway, you ever been to Antibes?”
“No, why?”
“Well, I’m going there on Friday for my apprenticeship, and I was wondering if you wanted to come with? I’m just giving some manuscripts to my mentor, and then leaving them with him for a few hours to review, so we can make a fun day out of it. It’s a one-hour drive, so I don’t plan on staying overnight.”
“Friday you said?” Vada took a deep breath to still her racing heart. “I don’t think I got anything better to do that day.”
“Great!” You said. “I’ll pick you up at 9am?”
“Sounds like a plan.”
“Cool, see you then!”
There was something frightening about when things go exactly how you wanted them. It was inch-perfect, the puzzle pieces just slotted in place as if they were always fated to be. You were the first to reach out; she thought it would be easier that way, she’d just have to take your hand and come along. But there was a certain apprehension that Vada had as if she was walking straight into the lion’s den like a deer blinded by hunger. What if she loses her heart? She was aware of the dangers of heartbreak, of course—she was no fool—but the thought of giving her heart to you, then watching you walk away with it like an unwanted gift was too devastating.
Mia was practically bouncing off the walls when Vada told her about the phone call, saying that in all seven years of knowing you, she had never been special enough to receive a call. She didn’t exactly say the latter part, but she all but implied it.
On Friday morning, Vada woke up earlier than usual, made herself some breakfast, and was already waiting at the door with a backpack by 8:45. No later than 9:05, you arrived with a Volkswagen Golf, sunglasses on, and a bright smile.
“Music?” You offered, turning on Bluetooth. “Also, if you need a pee break, please tell me. Bladders can be untimely.”
“Noted,” Vada giggled.
The car ride was mostly silent, aside from the music you let her pick and the fun facts you enlightened her with about some of the landmarks you drive past.
“That one I believe was built in the later 1600s and owned by a minor Provence viscount. It was also in a strategic location for the military until it was abandoned after the French Revolution. Also, the viscount built the castle for his second wife, but she died shortly after giving birth to their child.”
“That’s a little sad,” said Vada.
“She was also 14 when she died and he was in his 50s.”
Vada grimaced. “Maybe death was a sweet relief.”
“Yeah. It was more common back in the day than you think.”
“How do you know all this?” She brought her legs up against her chest.
“I like history. I like to learn about the areas I’m in, and in the time that I’ve been here, I’ve had a lot of opportunities to learn.”
She watched your side profile for a moment. “You mentioned some manuscripts. What is it for?”
“Is this an interview now?” You laughed and glanced over at her, and she looked down with a blush. “It’s for my bachelor’s thesis. Technically I don’t start writing until next year, but I like to practice whenever I can. This one that I’m giving to my mentor is a collection of essays.”
“Can I read them?” You looked over for a moment, then reached behind you to grab a file of paper and handed it to her.
Vada settled back and opened the first pages, and read in silence. She could feel you spare short glances at her from time to time, nervously watching for her reaction, but she was so engrossed in your writing it almost didn’t matter that you were sitting next to her. This might have been what it feels like to peer into someone’s soul, to see the traces of fresh blood as they lay their heart onto paper.
It was a beautiful sunny day, the waters shone a deep turquoise, and the French Riviera looked glorious as ever. And yet, she could only get lost in your words.
“This is beautiful,” Vada breathed, setting the papers down on her lap. “You’re amazing.”
You looked ahead at the road, eyes covered by shades, but your large grin was unmissable.
You parked the car on the side of the street in front of several apartment buildings. “Don’t go anywhere, I’ll be right back.” Vada only nodded and watched you cross the street with the manuscripts in your hand. She liked how it felt between you two, and she would gladly accompany you on every trip until you were sick of her.
Mere minutes later, you returned. “I hope you’re ready for the best adventure of your life.”
Only, she knew it would be.
You first led her to the market in the vieille ville, where you bought some fruits and snacks for the way. Vada also got to witness firsthand your bargaining skills, asking for a price and then pretending to walk away until the vendor becomes desperate enough to settle. “I used to be really bad at this, but then I watched my mom do it, and now I kind of just do. These vendors hike up their prices for tourists like crazy.” You walked away proudly with a bag of food.
As the both of you walked through the picturesque alleys and streets, you proceeded to tell her more about the city and its history. She listened carefully, hanging onto every word that left your lips. You told her about how Antibes was first named Antipolis and part of Ancient Greece before it was built by the Romans in the time of Julius Caesar; how in the Middle Ages the city fell under the fiefdom of the Grimaldi family, the main branch of which is now royalty of Monaco.
“Sorry, you gotta stop me before I go on a tangent,” you chuckled, scratching the back of your neck. “I’ve been talking for ages.”
“No, I like it.” She said quickly. “I like listening to you talk. It’s no surprise many artists were so taken with this place.”
You raised your eyebrows in surprise.
“Hemingway, Picasso, and Monet all had a fascination with this city.” She had to look that up, but you didn’t need to know that.
“That’s right,” you nodded. “In fact, I’ll show you the spot where Monet painted one of his paintings later.”
After lunch, you both walked along the city walls that looked out to the beach.
“I’m just saying, Ratatouille piqued a lot of interest in the dish, and it wasn’t a coincidence. I mean, I’ve never tried it but I’d love to, just because it looked so good in the movie.” Vada said.
“You’ve never had ratatouille?!” You exclaimed loudly making Vada laugh. “Man, it’s a staple here in southern France! I’ll have to make you some because that is just criminal.”
“Okay, Chef Remy. I’m looking forward to it.”
“Actually, I’ll make a whole batch for you and the Reeds too. They always give me fruits from their backyard,” you said. “How did you meet Mia anyway?”
At the question, Vada’s smile collapsed into a frown. “Um . . .” You watched her, a confused look on your face. “I’ve always known who she was. I mean, it’s Mia, you know? But one day we met officially in the bathroom at school.”
“Oh,” you voiced. You must be confused as to why that was so hard to squeeze out, but the latter part, the part she kept hidden, she had been trying to squeeze out for two years.
“We were in the bathroom while there was a shooting going on.”
You opened your mouth to say something, but you only ended up watching her. Then, a moment later, “I didn’t mean to . . .”
“No, it’s fine.” Vada shook her head. “You didn’t know.”
“I’m so sorry. You don’t have to tell me anything else if you don’t want to.” Your eyes softened and you looked like you had kicked a puppy.
“I know,” she said, taking a breath.
“I see it on the news all the time, but I can’t imagine what it’s like to be there,” you said quietly. “Thank you for trusting me enough to tell me.”
Vada hated having to talk about it. If she could have it her way, she would bury it deep down so it never sees the light of day again. Still, she has to talk about it to her friends, her family, her therapist sometimes. She hated talking about it because she’d have to see the way people’s faces contort uncomfortably as they scramble to find consoling words to say. They don’t make her feel any better, and she never liked people seeing that broken side of her reflected back at them.
But when she looked at you right now, there wasn’t a trace of ego in the way that you look back at her. Deep down, she had always wanted to lay it on you, to give you a piece of her, not because she had to, but because she wanted to.
Because she wanted you to see it.
Vada found your hand by your side, soft and comforting. She kept her eyes on them; her hand and your hand, intertwined together. You embraced it and rubbed the back of her hand with your thumb before kissing it. A kiss of friendship, a kiss of love, a kiss of two young people in a city far from home together who had only just met. A kiss that said I see you, I hear you, you’ve got me around your corner.
“You wanna go grab some dinner?” She asked.
Dinner turned into even more talk. Towards late afternoon, you said you wanted to catch the sunset before going to the spot you claimed Monet painted the city. It was a quick drive, but you pumped your fists in the air when you got out of the car and were happy with how the sun rolled over the city just right.
“Come on, you’re gonna miss it!” You jogged towards the edge of the water, beaming like a little kid. It had become natural between the two of you to share skin-ship.
Behind the trees, there it was. Across the blue water, Antibes basked in the last few rays of sunlight in stoic tranquility, just as Monet had seen it. Perhaps she was in one of Monet’s paintings, frozen in time, stuck with you.
She found your hand again, your left this time, and once again your gaze followed, but this time, you trailed your gaze to her eyes. God help me, she thought.
There were so many things Vada wanted to blurt out, and she was close to it. Holding back was never her strong suit, but once she got a good look at the depth of your eyes, she felt that they were better appreciated in silence. Words don’t do anything but snitch on you anyway.
She didn’t need to, because the moment she turned to look at you, she felt you grab her face gently and lay the softest kiss on her lips.
The sun continued to glare, yet Antibes stared on.
Did Monet ever paint lovers?
Tumblr media
Liar.
Liar.
Vada felt like she’d make a mistake for giving in to it. She saw her younger self in the square that day, by the fountain, eating ice cream. She saw you talking to her, and she wanted to scream and tell herself to stop, to save herself the heartache. No one else was to blame, not even you, only her.
Antibes was a week ago, and she hasn’t really spoken to you ever since. She replayed the kiss over and over in her head, trying to pinpoint exactly the moment when you decided that keeping your distance would be the best course of action.
But then she remembered the way you acted alone with her was much different than how you were with the others around. She saw the way your eyes linger on her when you thought she was admiring the sea. She noticed the way you smiled bashfully when she brought up how good your essays were in front of your mentor. She remembered how you never let go of her hand when she grabbed it while you watched the sunset.
Marlène and Sasha had been a big help in getting her out of her slump. Mia was there to cuddle with her the first couple of nights after Vada told her everything, but rendezvous with Coco had kept her busy. But Marlène and Sasha were cool, and probably one of the healthiest couples she’s ever seen at the age of 20. She felt like their adoptive child hanging out with them, especially when Sasha would greet her by endearingly calling her Petit Vada.
“And have you talked to her?” Marlène asked, leaning over the lounge chair. She and Vada had been sunbathing and swimming at the Reed villa that afternoon.
“No.” Vada sighed. “It’s just—I just don’t get it! Why does she have to be so mysterious all the time? Like one moment we would be fine, and the next she’s somewhere else, someone else entirely.”
“That’s Y/N,” Marlène chuckled and took a sip from her margarita. “You know, when I and Sash first got together, he wasn’t as talkative as he is now. In fact, I was the one to ask him out. Sometimes you just have to suck it up and tell them.”
“That’s so easy to say,” Vada muttered, and put her face in her hands.
“That’s the kind of attitude you should save for when you go back to your other life, your American life. Are you going to university this fall? Summer’s halfway over, you know? Are you going to mull over it and let it pass by you?”
“Yes.” Vada’s voice was muffled through her hands.
“Carpe diem, mon chère.” Marlène shrugged. “It’s cheesy but it’s true.”
Andre being the ever BBQ dad that he was, decided to host a get-together with some friends that night, and encouraged Mia to invite hers. Everyone that Vada met at the beach showed up, including Noémie, except for you.
“She said she was busy,” Noémie waved it off. Vada pursed her lips. The fact that you talked to Noémie first stirred uneasy envy in the pit of her stomach.
She didn’t have the stomach to sit outside and spoil everyone’s fun with her sour face (most of all she didn’t want to give Noémie that satisfaction), so she made a plate for herself and ate in the living room.
“Hey, kiddo,” she looked up and saw Philip walk past her toward the kitchen. “Not feeling the party?”
Vada made a face to indicate a yes, but she didn’t want to explain further. “Just not really in the mood, sorry.”
“It’s okay. You can’t stop Andre from barbecuing when he has the urge or he’d literally combust.”
She nodded and smiled. “We don’t want that.”
“We’re serving fruits now. Want me to get you some?” He pointed at her empty plate.
“Yes, please. Thanks.” She hesitated for a beat. “Hey, Philip?”
The man turned around.
“How did you know that you wanted to marry Andre?”
Philip contemplated for a second, then walked over to the couch where she sat, leaning against it. “I didn’t wake up one day and choose to propose to him, Vada. It’s just one of those things when you start to notice that gnawing feeling in your chest. And you’d have to ask yourself, ‘Would I be fine going the rest of my life without them?’”
Vada nodded slowly and smiled as the man went back to the kitchen. She opened her phone and went to your messages. The last text from you was from a week ago. She began typing.
can we talk? Sent 8:47pm
A mere five minutes later, you responded.
of course Sent 8:47pm
meet me at the fountain at 10? Sent 8:48pm
see u there Sent 8:48pm
Vada found you walking back and forth by the Fountain, one hand in deep your pants pocket, the other holding a cigarette between your thumb and index, and puffing it as if it would give you a lifeline. She got off her bike and set it by the railing of the Fountain where you stood.
“You smoke?”
“Not usually,” you attempted to smile, shaking your arms as if to shake off an invisible burden. You were anxious, it was clear.
Vada didn’t know what to say next, so she leaned against the railing of the Fountain, rolling a pebble back and forth underneath her shoe.
“I’m sorry I didn’t come to see you earlier. I was busy.”
She nodded half-heartedly, not looking up. She wished you’d come up with a better excuse than that.
“Are you angry with me?”
“Angry’s a strong word, Y/N.”
Another puff. “Are you discontent with me?”
She should have prepared herself for the nit-picky bullshit from a writer. “I don’t have a valid reason to be upset with you, not really. Unless I’ve been reading this wrong.”
“You haven’t.” You answered quickly and met her eyes. “I promise. It wasn’t very mature of me. In fact, I think I acted like a total idiot. I’m really sorry.”
“Do you regret kissing me?”
“No, not at all. And you have to believe me.” You sighed exasperatedly, and she almost felt bad because you looked so anxious.
“Tell me what you’re thinking.” Vada stepped towards you, facing you head-on. “You’re asking me whether I’m upset with you, but I don’t even know what you’re thinking most of the time. And then you disappear as though I did something wrong! How fair is that?”
You nodded and took another drag from your cigarette. Then, you dropped the butt on the floor and stomped on it. “I’m thinking that I really want to kiss you right now.”
Vada scoffed. “I don’t believe you.”
You stood up from your spot against the railing, your face now inches from hers. “It’s true.”
“No, it’s not.”
“Yeah, it is.”
She felt the exact moment her body became as light as a feather as your lips pressed against hers. Her hands clenched by her side, and come up to hold onto your shoulders, because she was afraid her legs might give out under her. You angled your face and deepened the kiss, and Vada sighed into your mouth. This is what the poets all wrote about, the inevitability of giving in to what you’ve wanted for so long. She’s caged in you in between her body and the Fountain, kissing you and touching you as though her life depended on it.
You moved to lower your kisses to her neck, but she leaned back and saw a dark look in your eyes.
The sound of a street musician playing the saxophone in the distance somewhere echoed through the square. Wordlessly, Vada took your hand.
She followed you by bike towards your house, which was towards the end of the street closer to the beach. You returned to speaking only one or two words to her, telling her to put her bike by the door next to yours, to take her shoes off before coming in, and whether she wanted some water.
“Nice place.” It was another thing that she never thought to ask you about, nor did you tell her. But it wasn’t a surprise that your family was loaded too, considering the vacation home in an area like this.
“Thanks. It’s my parents’, though.”
“What do they do again?”
“Well, my mom does interior design and my dad is a football agent.”
“Football agent? Who does he represent?”
“Mostly American players in Europe; Christian Pulisic, Luca de la Torre, Gio Reyna. I remember my dad bringing me along to dinner with Sergio Agüero once because he considered a move to LAFC. That was pretty cool.” You stood against the wall in the hallway, next to the staircase, kicking your feet aimlessly. The small talk was to cover up for something else.
You fell into a deep silence. Vada took a step forward under the yellow light of the hallway and took your hand, stroking it gently.
“Can I kiss you?” She asked quietly.
You and she both knew you were way past just kissing. This was new territory, and there would be no going back after this.
You nodded, and she surged forwards to kiss you slowly. This time, it felt different. You kissed her without the chastity and fear of being looked in on but without the hunger of overcoming lust. It was a perfect blend of passion and appreciation, a marriage of everything felt within the past few weeks.
You lead her upstairs, towards your room. Once inside, your lips were still glued to hers as you let her walk backward, though your eagerness made her trip on your feet and fall onto the mattress.
“Oh, shit. I’m sorry. ‘M sorry.” The two of you burst into a fit of giggles as you tried to make it up to her with a shower of kisses.
As her giggles quickly turned into pleasant sighs, she decided to surrender herself to you, to her deepest desires ever since the day she arrived. You had charmed her from the moment she laid eyes on you. But now to feel your hands on her in all the right places took her to new heights of pleasure that she’s never experienced before. How beautiful it was to be herself, to be here in this moment, and to cherish and be cherished by you. But most of all, to hear you whisper her name and profanities in the most sinful and vulnerable ways, so unlike your polished and composed self in front of other people.
Vada, Vada, Vada . . .
She awoke in the morning, the sun piercing through the horizontal slits of the shut windows. There was sweat sticking to her skin, but she didn’t want to get up and shower, not when you were still soundly asleep, arm loosely wrapped around her torso. It was then that she realized that you both were still very naked, but she reveled in the skin-to-skin contact like it was giving her strength and vitality. The golden hummingbird sat on your chest, rising and falling with each of your breaths.
Vada caught the moment your eyes fluttered open and focused on her. Then a smile.
“What time is it?” You asked.
Vada leaned over to check the clock on the wall. “7:41.”
You grumbled. “My shift starts at 8:30.”
“You better chop-chop then.”
“I don’t wanna go.”
“Then don’t.” Vada placed her chin on your upper chest. “Stay here with me, and we can recreate last night.”
You chuckled and kissed her once. “That sounds really tempting.”
And yet, you moved to get up, but she held you back. “Five more minutes.”
“Only five?” You smirked.
“You don’t think I can do it in five?”
You grinned like a Cheshire cat and settled back.
Vada had to let you go eventually, you let her stay at yours and do as she pleased. She suddenly remembered that she never texted Mia back about staying out overnight, and sure enough, flipped her phone over to a few missed calls and text messages. After texting her back and reassuring her that she was okay, she got up and went to take a shower.
You came back around four and, as much as she didn’t want to admit it, it felt like forever until you walked through the doors again. And the moment you did, she pounced on you like a lion.
“I’m so sweaty,” you laughed but soon became lost in the sensation of her lips against yours.
You made love again that afternoon. Vada could almost picture the routine that she and you so easily fell into, how the puzzle pieces fit together so seamlessly. It almost felt like she had cheated somehow to feel this way, that it truly felt as magical and wonderful as it was laying in your arms, both of you stark naked. You had showered and smelled much like lavender. Your eyes were closed but you weren’t asleep, as she watched your chest rise and fall steadily. Sometimes you would murmur something and she would talk to you quietly, knowing you were tired from a day’s work at the beach.
“I knew I liked you from the first day, at the Fountain,” you said.
“Then why didn’t you say anything?!” Vada looked up and hit your chest playfully.
“I didn’t want to come on too strong and scare you away!”
“Jesus Christ,” she sat up and put her face in her palms. “Y/N, I wanted you so badly. Like, I could not go a day without thinking about you. It was actually becoming unhealthy how much I did.”
“Oh? I’m flattered.” You smirked and rubbed her knee. “Why didn’t you say anything?”
“Because . . . After Antibes, I wasn’t sure if you felt the same way.”
Your face dropped slightly. “I was scared to get close to someone. I think I caught myself then after we kissed. It was scary how much I wanted your company.”
Vada could understand. You’ve only known each other for three weeks. What were you to each other? Maybe it didn’t matter, there was something comforting about just existing as two souls being present with each other. She realized that the fear she’d harbored about losing her heart was all in vain; you never took it for yourself, you’d only pressed your hand against her chest and encouraged it to keep beating—to keep being hers—while you’d hoped that she would do the same to you.
“If you could go back to that day at the Fountain, and do it differently, would you?” Vada asked.
You thought for a second, then shook your head. “No. I always want to remember you this way.”
Vada swallowed thickly and avoided your eyes. “We’re leaving next week.”
A silence hung in the air, unspoken words stuck in her throat. Tell me to stay. Tell me you’ll come back with me. Tell me you’ll never love anyone else. Tell me you’d forget about me so as to soothe the pain.
“Then let’s make it count,” you brushed a hair from her eyes. “We’re not the first, and we won’t be the last to love each other.”
She dreaded the flight back home, having to pretend leaving you wouldn’t be as hard in front of Mia and her parents, and about 300 strangers. She’d miss biking everywhere and the beach and Lillian’s ice cream (she had grown to like it over Karim’s). She’d remember Antibes and Monet’s spot. She’d remember your face and how you seemed to appear in every memory of this trip.
Vada felt you brushing your finger under her eye and realized that it was wet. Then you brought her into your arms and held her tight as she hid from the world in your neck. You cooed and somehow it made Vada feel worse and started crying harder, clinging to your skin desperately.
She’d find space for the grief she was going to feel in her heart somewhere because she knew she’d rather live with the pain than be without you again.
The last week started on a Wednesday. Vada did the usual things she did the last few weeks—go to the beach, bike to town, hang out with the group; she wanted to soak into that last semblance of her summer routine before she had to leave, and everything would be different. She hadn’t given college much thought either. Deciding to move halfway across the country for it was the least stressful part of the whole process, as she was going in undecided. Mia was happy though, because they would only be a few hours apart by train.
Until then, Vada was too afraid to ask you about what would happen after the summer ended. If she asked, it would mean that it was close and it was real. You’d go back to school in Paris and start on your thesis, and everything would go back to the way it was.
Everything would go back to the way it was. As if nothing happened.
She had lived four weeks with you, how was she ever going to go the rest of her life without you?
She met up with you after dinner one night at the beach. The tides had come in much closer and were pulling on her heartstrings mercilessly. In and out, in and out . . . You were as quiet as the night, your eyes gazed towards the distance somewhere, looking pensive.
Still, she was afraid to ask.
“I lied,” you finally spoke. “I wished I had told you sooner how much I liked you.”
Vada remained silent and nodded. “We’ll call.”
“It won’t be the same.”
She knew too that it would never be the same the moment she leaves France. She realized that though she was afraid to ask, time was not on her side, and she didn’t have the luxury to be afraid anymore.
“Will you stay over tonight?” Vada asked, and you looked so happy that she did.
Once you stumbled through the door, you leaned in to kiss her instantly. Between wanting to kiss you back and suppressing moans, she told you to be quiet as you followed her upstairs, hand in hand. You failed, however, actually, both of you did, as your giggles trailed up the stairs and through the hallway. Vada would be lucky if only Mia heard you.
Tumblr media
The day she left for the airport, you came over to say goodbye. You greeted the Reeds first, giving Philip and Andre big hugs, then turned to Mia to hug as well and kiss her on the forehead.
Vada waited in the backyard. She felt almost pathetic and needy for wanting you to come out here quicker. It won’t be the same.
“Andre gave me this to keep for my parents.”You held up a bottle of wine by the neck. “1983, nice.”
Your smile died down when you noticed her silence. “You got everything?”
She nodded. Wordlessly, she stepped forwards to wrap her arms around your frame. She thought she’d cry, but it was as if her brain was already actively shutting down trying to block out this memory to save her the future heartbreak.
You pressed her tightly against your chest and swayed her back and forth. Upon releasing her, you set down the bottle of wine next to your feet and took off your necklace.
“I want you to have this.” You opened her palm and neatly placed the jewelry inside. “That way, you won’t forget.”
How could you ever think that I would forget when I’m afraid I’ll never be able to let go of this summer?
“I wish we had more time,” Vada said.
“Bye, Cinderella.” Your eyes were glossy now.
The car door was wide open, waiting to take her away from you. For a split second, she considered dropping everything to stay.
She leaned in to kiss you once, deep and hard, “Bye, Y/N.” Then she walked away, the hummingbird clenched in her fist.
You followed her and watched her get in the car. You watched her close it with force and you watched her refuse to make eye contact with you, but you saw the way her lips trembled. You watched the car take her away from you and grazed the spot on your chest where the hummingbird was missing.
It was mid-July, the hottest day of the year, and yet, the ocean waves—blue as it gets—continued to crash against the shore, on and on and on.

You were craving something sweet, nearer something to satisfy your taste buds. You didn't know what it was. Laying down on your back on your bed. But you were bored and nobody was home so you had the place to yourself.
You wondered if your boyfriend would want to join in too, you looked at the phone on your bedside table before debating it, then you took the phone handle and dialed his number in, laying down on the frame of your bed, playing the long cord.
Hearing it ring out before you heard his voice. "Billy?" you said his name, it was easy to say off of your tough, "Yes, Y/N?" He responded to me, as you rubbed your legs together feeling erratic to his voice, "Come to my house, my parents aren't here at all..so we can hang out, you know" you trailed off mumbling, feeling anxious as you played with the phone cord.
You heard his voice chuckling, making you shiver to your core. "I'll be there at 7" You held the phone close to you. Before You heard him hang up the phone, putting the phone down. Feeling something in your lower core throb, you didn't know the feeling at all. The weird throb made you feel weird, rubbing your legs together, you bit my lip. Getting up from your bed, you went into your closet, taking something out. It was a pink translucent skirt and top with a ribbon on the chest, Stu bought it for you for your birthday when you went shopping. It was weird for him to buy something so revealing for you when you weren't his girlfriend in the first place, wasn't he with Tatum.
You stripped all your clothes off being left with only your panties, before wearing the pink material on. Looking into the mirror it was only your panties showing, turning around as you looked. Fluffing the pink skirt up. It was short, really short that it showed the curves of your ass. Would this be a good outfit for him?
Closing the door to my door, before you walked down the stairs to the kitchen, took out the supplies onto the counter, stood up my toes got the bowls and whisk from it, and placed it down. Hearing the doorbell ring, as you walked to the door, seeing Billy outside, opening the door and letting him in. "Hey Billy" you smiled at him, "Woah, what are you wearing" Before he took my hand and spun me around, you tried to hide the smile on my face. His face had a smirk on it.
"So, I was just going to make some desserts, I forgot to mention it on call, but wanna join?" you smiled. "Hell yeah" You giggled at his excited expression.
Taking ahold of his hand, before you took him to the kitchen. Feeling his eyes on you with the revealing outfit, you didn't hate it but it made you feel weird in-between your legs. Everything was out on the table before you guys began making the sweet treat, adding flour, butter, salt, and some water into a bowl, and mixing it up. You felt Billy's hand on your waist, his head resting on your shoulders, as mixed the dry ingredients, "Whatcha making" He hummed, "A creampie" You answered back, before taking the pie dish and squishing the dough in the crust.
"A creampie?" He questioned, "Yeah, I been craving one today" You flickered between your boyfriend and what your hands were doing, "Why would you wanna make one when I can give it to you myself" He whispered in my ear, making my face feel hot.
"Billy, stop being so dirty" Your face was flushed from his comment, "Alright, alright.. you are so easy to embarrass" he chuckled, "You can at least help. me with getting me some measurements from the drawer" You said, "Coming right up".
You knew Billy made some infamous dirty comment in your guy's relationship, but never really tested it out. You weren't clueless about what he said, it was just that you never did it.
"Shit.." you forgot to bring out the mixer, turning to the side where the cabinet was, it was higher than you thought. Standing on your tippy toes, trying to get it. Before feeling something touching your ass, turning your eyes to Billy that was dangerously close to you, feeling something pointy touching your lower region. You felt your heart beating faster before he said something "You need help?" He said, "Yeah, the mixer up top," You said. As a few painful seconds passed by, before he got it, giving it to you.
"Thank you," you said, before getting right back to my post. My face was still feeling hot like my lower region, trying to ignore it. Cracking some eggs, measurements of sugar, milk, butter, salt, and some vanilla into the bowl, mixing it with the mixer until it was fluffy and looked like whipped cream. You were satisfied with how it looked so far, hearing Billy's footsteps. As he tasted the filling of the pie crust, "You were outside yourself Y/N, it's good" He said, "Well you can't eat the whole thing, I need for the pie" You grumbled.
Scooping the white cream into the pie crust and smoothing it out, topping it with some bananas, and putting it into the fridge to cool down. Before you looked at the mess before you. "Oh gosh," you mumble. You felt some creeping behind you, Billy holding your waist, you didn't know what was up with him today. Turning your head up to him confused, "What happen?" came out of your lips.
"You thought you could wear something that revealing just for me not to touch you at all" you felt his head on the crook of your neck, planting kisses, as his words were muffed but audible.
The small gesture made little high-pitched moans come out of your lips, "Forgot you were a little virgin, Y/N" You felt his hands touching everywhere on your body, as he started marking you with kisses. His hands right hand gets dangerously close to the hems on your skirt and his left to your breast.
"Who bought you this?" He asked, "Stu" you blankly replied, "Of course, it's that fucker" You heard him mutter under his voice before he pull off your top with a fast motion. Your breast spilling out of the top, "Billy–" You were cut off by him playing with your nipple, moans coming out of your mouth. Feeling your lower region burning from not getting attention, his hands creeping under your skirt.
Putting his fingers inside you making you gasp from the intrusive. "Haah~" you moaned out, as he kept on playing your body. You didn't know this outfit would drive him crazy at all.
You leaned and looked away from what he was doing to your body, you liked how he was playing with you but it was embarrassing.
"Billy" you whined, "What is it?" he asked.
"It feels weird" you gestured with your eyes to your cunt, feeling him pulling his fingers making you whine. "Billy–" you whined, his hands were bending you forward against the counter where your breast pressed against the cold counter, making you jolt. Hearing the jingling of his belt behind you, as you glanced behind you saw his dick. It was big, you were getting nervous if you could have that thing inside you.
Turning around quickly, you were desperate for any relief, his hands on your waist. As he lined up to your dripping cunt before he thrust into you making you jolt up, biting your lip from the pain. His dick felt like it was hitting every place that you didn't know existed. The pain slowly turned into pure pleasure as his hips jacked hammer with yours.
You were getting needy, your moans spilling out as he collided with your hips. Putting your hands into fists on the table feeling your cunt getting abused by him. Feeling him edging to your cervix, feeling something bubbling inside you.
Before he stopped, your face was already flushed and begging for more, "Lean your back on the counter" feeling him lifting you to the counter, your back being met with cold tile. "You ready, princess" He whispered to your ear leaning against you. Before he started the pace, feeling him in different parts of you, moaning out in pleasure.
You wanted to kiss him, flickering your eyes up and he kept thrusting into you like a madman, "Billy..kiss please" you whispered, looking up at him. Your face was heated, your lips were already red, and you looked like you were in sort of heat. It made Billy have a smirk on his face, as he kissed you, you wrapped your arms around his neck, sharing a messy kiss. He forced his tongue, as he explored your mouth, hitting the lower part of your lip, making you moan to him, before he withdrew.
You looked like a mess under him. Feeling something hot coming in between your legs, feeling something liquid coming out of you, "Holy shit, I didn't you knew you were squirter" Billy chuckled, which only made you more embarrassed as you looked away.
His dick still hitting your cervix making you orgasm again, moans erupting from your throat. Feeling Billy's pace getting slow and sloppy, before feeling hot ropes of cum coming into you, his pelvis pressed yours as he released into his loads. His dick getting softer inside you.
"Billy, did you just cum inside of me" you panic, looking down at the mess between your legs, His breathing was heavy as he kissed you again, "You won't get pregnant the first time, besides ill get you the pill, besides I wasn't lying when I said I was going to give you a creampie" he smirked.
You were tired, and probably weren't going to eat that creampie anytime soon, feeling him taking out himself from your cunt made you whine from the warmth that was gone.
"Let me get you cleaned up.."

Until I found you
(steddie | 1.5k | mature | AO3 | Collection with wedding fics)
My dearest @thefreakandthehair, you were the first person I really interacted with in this fandom and your Winter Challenge was the reason I wrote my very first ST fanfic. You have a special place in my heart Lex and I am so glad, that I and all the others, were able to show you how much you mean to us with our wedding gifts.
I wish you and Billiam a life filled with love and happiness and the knowledge that you found something special within each other 💜
Tumblr media
Most of the time, Eddie doesn’t mind being poor. Hell, he grew up with no money to his name, and as with so many things, you can't really miss what you've never had.
But sometimes he wishes that he wasn't.
Not even for himself, but for Steve. Because Steve? Steve knows what he's missing.
Before he came out to his parents, involuntarily, when they caught them making out on the floor of their living room, and they kicked him out of their house and their family, Steve had money. He could buy anything he wanted and never had to worry about affording rent and groceries.
Now, Eddie and Steve were living together in a small but cozy apartment in Indianapolis with their cats, Merry and Pippin. Steve was studying to be an EMT, and Eddie was working as a bartender where his band played regularly. They got by just fine, even though most of their furniture was second-hand, and they went grocery shopping on a weekly budget.
Their life was good. Perfect, in fact, if you asked Eddie. They had everything they needed, especially each other, which was the most important thing, a fact Steve never tired of reminding him of.
But that never stopped Eddie from wanting to give Steve more. Steve deserved the world and Eddie hated that he couldn't give it to him. He couldn't even give him the honeymoon he deserved.
If he's honest, he still can't believe Steve said yes. Especially after Eddie proposed at the worst possible time. Not during sex, which would have been bad, but not the worst. No, he proposed during a fight.
Steve was yelling at him, probably about something inane because he was tired and frustrated at the time, Eddie doesn’t even remember. And all he could think was that he would do anything to have Steve yell at him and smile at him and kiss him and tease him for the rest of his life.
"If you don't care, fine, but some of us —"
"Marry me."
"What - are you kidding me?"
"No, I have never been more serious in my life. Marry me, Steve."
"Are you asking me to marry you so I’ll stop yelling at you? Because I won't."
"Oh, I know. You don't have to. Just say yes before you go on?"
Steve had stopped yelling at him after that, too busy kissing him. They fucked right there on their kitchen floor, and Steve bitched about it the whole next day when his knees hurt. It was perfect.
Eddie wants their honeymoon to be just as perfect. But even though his uncle pitched in as much as he could, their wedding ate up what little savings they had. So instead of going to a beach somewhere and enjoying the sight of his husband in nothing but his swim trunks and lathering his gorgeous skin in sunscreen, they stayed home.
"Come on, it's not that bad. You know us. We wouldn't have left the hotel room anyway." Steve tries to cheer him up as Eddie sulks on their bed, wiggling his eyebrows in the way he knows makes Eddie laugh every time. It has the desired effect when Eddie snorts, but the thought of letting Steve down still lingers on his mind.
"Seriously, Eds. I know we don't have much right now, but we can always go on vacation together later. Right now, I really want to enjoy some quality time with my husband. So could you please tell him to stop moping?"
It's said with a teasing smile, so Eddie knows that Steve isn't really annoyed with him. But he's right, this is their honeymoon, even if they have to spend it at home. He shouldn't sit around and mope. He's failing at being a husband. He should probably prepare himself for the inevitable moment when Steve realizes that too and asks him for a divorce. Maybe they can at least stay friends. The thought hurts, a pang in his chest that he knows has nothing on how much the real thing would hurt. Like a supernova imploding in his chest, a black hole that would suck the life out of him. But he would try anyway. Not right away, but maybe someday, because Eddie can't imagine a life without Steve in it, even if it won't be the way he hoped it would be —
"I see you spiraling from here, Eddie."
Steve's voice is soft, as is his touch, as he cups Eddie's cheek with the palm of his hand. When Eddie looks up into his eyes, they are soft as well, filled with nothing but love. They look exactly the same as they did when Steve said "I do.” Just before he kissed Eddie with so much tenderness that Eddie could feel it in his toes.
"I just want to make you happy, Stevie. I don't want to disappoint you."
It's painfully honest, but they both worked hard at being honest with each other. Even when they screw up or when they think it might hurt the other. Honesty is the foundation on which they built their relationship, along with trust, respect, and, of course, love. And fantastic sex.
Steve smiles at him, and something about the look on his face actually brings tears to Eddie's eyes and his heart clenches in his chest. Fuck. He never thought you could love someone so much that it physically hurts until he met Steve. "I know, baby. I know. Wanna know a secret?"
Eddie hums and presses a small kiss to Steve's palm. Steve's thumb reaches up to gently stroke his cheekbones, wiping away the wetness that has begun to gather. "You make me happy every day in so many ways."
Steve kisses the tender skin under Eddie's eye, first left, then right. "When I wake up in the morning, way before you, sleepyhead, and you always kiss me, even when you're not awake yet."
He kisses Eddie's nose next, adding a little nip to the tip that makes Eddie smile. "When you text me throughout the day, just to share your thoughts and hear mine. Just to show me you were thinking about me."
Next, Steve's lips find Eddie's forehead, lingering, pressing his love into Eddie's skin, wanting it to get through Eddie's thick skull. "When you come home after a long shift, tiptoeing through the apartment, and making a ruckus anyway because you couldn't be quiet to save your life. And you slide into bed next to me, wrap me up in your arms, kiss the side of my face, and tell me you love me.”
Finally, Steve kisses him on the lips, first taking his upper lip between his own, then his lower, before slowly dragging his tongue along the seam. Eddie opens his mouth and Steve's tongue slips in, just like that, just a tease, not as a prelude to anything, but because he can. Because what's Eddie's is his and what's Steve's is Eddie's. Everything he has and everything he is belongs to Steve. His husband.
"You made me the happiest man in the world when you asked me to marry you. When you said yes in front of our friends, our family." Steve whispers in the minimal space between their lips, and Eddie sniffles, too happy to be embarrassed.
"I love you, Stevie. So goddamn much." Another kiss, as gentle as the last.
Steve pulls away, both hands cupping Eddie's face, his thumbs wiping away the last of the tears. "I love you too. So how about we start with the whole honeymoon business, huh?"
"What do you have in mind?"
Steve's smile is sweet, innocent, but Eddie knows his husband well enough to see the gleam in his eyes. He's in for a treat, his stomach fluttering in anticipation.
"Well," Steve begins, letting go of Eddie's face to tap his chin, "I thought we'd take our mattress into the living room, put it in front of the TV and put on Lord of the Rings. Extended Edition." The words sound like music to his ears, the perfect way to spend the day in his book, but it's hardly a gift for the two of them.
Steve is not finished, however. "That's 686 minutes. Wanna show me how many times you can make me come in 11 hours?"
Standing up so fast he almost knocks Steve over, Eddie pulls Steve into a deep, heated kiss. "Marry me, Steve."
Steve laughs. "I already did, stupid. I take it you like the idea?"
"I love it. Almost as much as you." They kiss again, unable to keep their hands off each other.
Eddie wonders if the impromptu blowjob that follows on their bed can be added to the final count at the end of the day. If so, it's nine times. Not bad at all, if he says so himself.
Steve seems to agree as they cuddle on the couch, both naked, satiated and sleepy, their legs intertwined and Steve's head resting on Eddie's chest, their mattress beyond saving ("Good thing the new one gets delivered tomorrow.").
"Are you happy, Stevie?"
"Never been happier in my life, Mr. Munson-Harrington."

Back to the Old House~Jude Bellingham
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Type~Angst
A/N: Jude won the poll! I felt angsty so here you go! Also thank you for my awesome friend Mistyswifey for this prompt!
Jude was back. In Stourbridge. When you heard the news your heart almost leaped out of your chest! While you were in a local shop, the cashier said “So, heard the news that Jude is coming back?” and that initially send you into a panic. You lived next to Jude, your whole life, until he moved away to live in Madrid. You talked to him a lot when you were younger. Childhood friends even. But after he moved, you didn’t get a call, text, nothing. It broke your heart, still hung up on him. You stayed in your childhood home, your parents, wanting to travel the world so they left you at home. Which was fine, your college was nearby and everything so all was good. But how the fuck are you gonna avoid Jude if he’s gonna be staying right next door?
Jude exited from the car, approaching his old house. He breathes the fresh, wet air of Britain, and walks up the path. He looks to the neighbours house. He doesn’t see a car in their driveway, assuming they’re away, and he can make as much noise as he likes while playing FIFA. He enters the house, his parents and brother hugging him. “How are you mate?” Jobe hits his shoulder. “I’m good.” Jude laughs. “We can make as much noise as we want, because of the neighbours, yeah?” He smiles. Jobe scratches the back of his head. “They’re gone on holidays, but their daughter still lives there. She’s minding the house and plants.” He says while they walk upstairs to Jude’s old bedroom. “Their daughter? They have a daughter?” Jude says, puzzled. Jobe looks at him weird as he opens the door to his brothers room. “Yeah, do you not remember her? You used to talk all the time!” Jude looks even more confused. A girl? Never heard of her. Never seen her. Maybe he did? He doesn’t know. He doesn’t remember. At all.
You get a knock on your door while you’re laying on the couch. You try and make yourself presentable and go open the door. Jude’s mom appears and smiles at you. “Hello dear! Would you like to come for dinner? I bet it’s lonely being by yourself, come join us!” She beams. You can’t say no, this woman is so sweet that it looks like it would break her heart if you said no. So you accepted. Have you forgotten Jude was over? Yup.
You enter the house behind Jude’s mother, and hear the hood of the oven on. “JOBE! JUDE! COME AND GREET OUR GUEST!” She shouts. She smiles politely at you and goes to the kitchen as the boys come downstairs. Oh no. Jude. You see his gorgeous brown eyes and all those years of moving on had disappeared. Your cheeks turn a crimson colour. Jobe greets you first. “Hey! Long time no see!” He hugs you. You hung out with Jobe quite often after Jude left. You both needed company so you guys occasionally watched movies and went to the park and stuff like that. You never found an interest in Jobe. And you knew he didn’t find one in you. Jude approaches you, your hands get clammy and you can feel them starting to sweat. “Hey, I’m Jude. Nice to meet you. What’s your name?” He says, hands shoved in his pockets.
Oh.
Oh.
He didn’t remember you. That’s fine. Totally fine. It’s for the better even. “Hi, I’m Y/N. Nice to meet you, Jude.” You say quietly. “Likewise.” Jude nods and goes to the dining room. You could almost cry in that moment. Staring at the wooden floor planks, the tears scorching hot in your eyes. But now wasn’t the time. You wipe your eyes quickly and made your way to the dining room as well.
Dinner went smoothly, conversation here and there. At the end, it was time to go. You waved the Bellingham family goodbye, your eyes lingering on Jude. You were about to exit the house when a hand stopped you from doing so. “Hey, wanna hang out sometime?” Jude’s voice being heard from behind you. You look up at him. “Sure.” You smile and exit the house.
Over the past couple of days, you guys hung out. Trips to the park, cinema, having lunch at each other’s, etc. Jude was falling for you. Hard. The ways your eyes glimmered in the sun, your hair always to perfection and your personality so true and honest. One day, while going over to yours, as you guys had dinner reservations, he entered your house. (you texted him that the door was unlocked and he could come in at anytime.) He found you crying on the couch. “Y/N, what’s wrong?” He stood at the doorway connecting your  living room and hallway.
“Do you not remember me Jude?” You said, more tears falling. You had tried to blow it over the past few days, but him not knowing you when you were friends for such a long time, just made you break down. “What do you mean?” Jude asks. You choke a sob and stand up. “JUDE YOU KNEW ME! WAS I NOTHING TO YOU? YOU DONT REMEMBER WHEN WE USED TO GO TO THE PARK AND EVERYTHING? GOD! WHY DO I EVEN BOTHER! YOU’RE PROBABLY GOING TO FORGET ME AGAIN AFTER YOU LEAVE!” You cry out. Jude was confused, upset, puzzled, but mostly upset. “What do you mean, Y/N? I’ve known you for the past couple of days!” He argues. You let out a frustrated sigh. “I CANT BELIEVE YOU!” You scream. “I CANT BELIEVE YOU! YOU COME AND SCREAM AT ME AND FOR WHAT? YOU’RE SAYING NONSENSE!” He shoots back.
“Leave my house, Jude Bellingham.” You whisper. But he heard it.
“What?” He says, exasperated.
“Leave. And come back when you remember.”
You heard his breathing get uneven from the other side of the room. But a few seconds later, you hear footsteps receding and the front door slam shut.
He should remember, you thought to yourself. And then he’ll come back to the old house.

WILL YOU MARRY ME?? AGAIN...
Edmund Pevensie X fem!reader
Summary: Even after spending years dating and getting married in Narnia in the golden age, Edmund makes an important request to Y/n, However, now here in your world.
Words: 1.5K+
Warnings: Mention of Narnia, university, and really cute happy couple stuff.
Author: Always saying that English is not my first language, I apologize for any spelling or typing errors I may have. And as a good patriot (or not so much) I mentioned a typical Brazilian food — BRIGADEIRO. I hope everyone can experience this wonder one day!!!
MASTERLIST
Tumblr media
Y/n and Edmund had been together forever. They were the same age, born a week apart, their childhood was spent in each other's houses. And everything changed when they went to Nárnia for the first time, in which, in the golden age, they grew up, dated, got married and when they were about to think about having an heir, Aslan sent them back to their world. Which, they were still children.
However, they were still in a relationship, with more maturity than any other pre-teen child their age.
Second time they went to Narnia, they went together and faced more challenges than when they were in the golden age. To which, Edmund almost lost Y/n in the battle of Beruna against the Telmarines.
Third time, only Edmund, Lucy and Y/n went. Well, Eustace had also parachuted into the world of Narnia. But that is beside the point.
Now, two years after the last time they went to Narnia. Y/n and Edmund had left for a new adventure together. The incredible life at University.
They left for Seattle when they had the opportunity to study at the University of Washington. Both got a scholarship for the courses they wanted. Edmund was in his second year of Law and Y/n was more than happy studying Journalism.
They both moved and were living in an apartment that the college paid for. It's a small, modest and simple place, but having each other was more than anything for them.
Edmund was in their small space in the college dormitory area, while he had a small black velvety box in his hands and looked at a pair of rings inside.
When he told his parents that he would ask Y/n to marry him, they were elated and Helen Pevensie said she had a gift for him. It was the first pair of rings that Ed's parents had worn, she said she wanted him to propose to Y/n with those same rings. Ed was so emotional that he couldn't hold back his tears that day, and now he was here, waiting for Y/n to get home from her last class of the day to propose to her.
When the brunette hears keys unlocking the door, he quickly puts the box in his pocket and takes a bouquet that was on the coffee table.
"Eds honey, you don't know what I just found!!" Y/n drops her bag on the floor as she locks the door again. "I was coming home and I saw a cafe with typical country food. I looked at the menu quickly and saw something Brazilian like, biga...pri...brigadeiro I think. I thought I'd ask you so we can go there in a bit" she takes off her shoes and turns to Edmund, who was smiling as she spoke and had a beautiful bouquet in his hands. "That it??" She asks, smiling shyly and approaching him, while Edmund takes the bouquet to her.
"They're for you" He hands over the flowers and kisses his beloved's temple.
"They're beautiful, Ed" Y/n smiles at her boyfriend and admires the flowers.
"My classes ended early today and I was passing by the flower shop here and I thought they would suit you" It wasn't a lie, Edmund always gave flowers to Y/n and said they suited the girl, today was no different, but yes, there were a special touch.
"Thank you" Y/n smiles shyly. "I'm going to put them in a jug of water, so they don't die" she walks to the kitchen and Ed follows the girl.
“So, what were you saying about the coffee shop…” He leans against the kitchen doorframe and watches Y/n walk around the small space behind a pitcher.
"Oh yes, of course!! What do you think about going there later today? It's Friday and they're open until 11 pm" she tries to get the jug that was on top and can't. "Ed, my love. Help me!! Y/n exclaims and Ed laughs heading towards her.
After taking the jug for herself, Y/n gives the brunette a quick kiss on the lips as a reward.
"I thought it was a great idea. But I kind of planned an afternoon for us"
Y/n turns quickly and looks at him with a crooked smile on her lips.
"A is?? Did you plan?"
"Yes" Ed crosses his arms in front of his chest and smiles victoriously at her.
The truth was that Ed asked Y/n's friends for help to organize a surprise for the girl, so he could ask her to marry him.
He would have done it with his sisters, but it was kind of impossible when they were on the other side of the country. But in the end, everything worked out and the girls would be at the park where Ed would ask Y/n to marry him until they got there. To keep an eye on things.
"And where are we going, Lord Edmund the Guide" Y/n approaches her boyfriend and puts her arms around his neck.
"Surprise!"
Y/n widens her eyes and smiles.
"Okay, Mysterious Ed. But what outfit should I wear for this surprise date?"
"Come, I can help you!!" He takes the girl's hand and pulls her to the shared room.
"Silly!!" Y/n smiles when he leaves her sitting on the bed and starts looking through her clothes in the closet they shared.
••••••••••••••••••••••
It doesn't take long and the two are already walking hand in hand to the surprise location.
Y/n tried everything to get information on where they were going, but Edmund refused to say anything and laughed every time Y/n mentioned an option that had nothing to do with the place.
"Now you must close your eyes" Ed walks behind her and puts a blindfold on Y/n's eyes affectionately.
"What if I fall?"
"I will be here!!" Edmund places a chaste kiss on Y/n's cheek and she smiles at his action. "Be careful, it's a bit steep here"
"Are we not park?"
"Try"
"I love this park" Y/n says as she climbs a small hill with Ed's help.
He smiled.
"I know, my love"
When they reach the top, a beautiful picnic blanket is spread out on the ground with different foods for both of them, a beautiful photo of the two is next to the basket and balloons in Y/n's favorite colors decorate the place.
With that, Edmund thanks Y/n's friends who took care of everything and they say goodbye before going down the hill, being careful not to alert Y/n of their presence.
"Is there someone here?" Y/n asks.
"Yes, me and you"
"HAHA you're very funny" she says sarcastically and he laughs.
"You can take off the blindfold now" he says and helps his girlfriend remove the black cloth that was around the future journalist's eyes.
Y/n adjusts her eyes according to the light in the room and opens her mouth in surprise when she sees everything organized and a beautiful picnic in front of her.
"Eds, this is so beautiful!!" She kneels down and takes the photo from the picture frame near the basket. "You did all this?"
Edmund nods. "Well, I had help from some people. But it was all my idea" he says proudly and Y/n laughs.
She looks at the photo again and runs her thumb over the image.
It was a photo of the two of them on the last Christmas they spent with their parents before coming to university. The two families got together and surprised the future university student by giving him several gifts for his "new" apartment. In the photo, Y/n had a pan in her hands and was about to put it on Edmund's head, when Lucy's dog invaded the photo and jumped on top of Y/n.
At the time of the photo the girl was still laughing, but the dog did complete damage. Making everyone laugh.
"Lucy's dog almost killed me that day"
"Exaggeration" Ed rolls his eyes and laughs, sitting next to the girl. "He just messed up your hair and drooled on it."
"So!! I almost died" she says being dramatic and Ed laughs.
Y/n smiles as she puts the photo back in place and looks at the balloons.
"Why all this? Is there anything important today that I don't remember?"
Ed shook his head.
"Well, yes and no" he says, already with his hand in the pocket where the box with the rings was. "Well, I fell in love with you since I saw you. Which I don't remember much, because we were born together and growing up together, so yes, I've been in love with you since God created me, I fell in love with you before I kissed you, before the touch, before saying I love you. I fell in love with your being, with what you are. They always say that we have one person who makes everything worth it, and that person is you Y/n, every time I I lie down and get up, my thought is you, I couldn't choose anyone else. It was you and it will always be you, I know I already made this request a few years ago in Narnia, but I want to marry you here too. So Y/n, will you marry me again??" He kneels in front of the girl and she smiles with tears in her eyes.
"How could I say no?? Yes, I will always say yes!!" She says, shedding some tears before Edmund hugs her.
"I love you, my eternal Queen Y/n, the faithful"
"I will always love you, King Edmund the Just"

I’ll just be hanging around the mistletoe, hoping to be kissed
Jonathon Crane x Reader
Sorry, this took me a while and it's pretty out of character but it was fun to write. I usually write in second person but did this for a change. It's based on another 'Love Actually' quote as well, because why not?!
Requests are still open so please ask. I do a lot of music related stuff, so the Christmas season is manic but the bulk of my work is over now, so I should be able to get back to writing now!
Love you all, thanks for reading and please interact! 💜
Tumblr media
Warnings: mentions of alcohol, talk of divorce, age gap, cheesy fluff
There had always been something about Jonathon Crane. He was my dad’s best friend, a psychopharmacologist that worked closely with him. When I was younger he had been my first port of call whenever I needed advice, I had stayed with him when my parents were going through a messy divorce and he had always been a shoulder to cry on. When he realised the true extent of my problems he had offered me counselling and when I refused because I didn’t want my parents to find out he had offered it to me for free. There was very little left about me that I didn’t know. In turn, he had told me a lot about himself - the abuse he had suffered at the hands of his father and stories about the time that he spent working at the asylum.
Everything changed when the divorce was over though. I went to lie with my mum full time and never saw him anymore, I texted him a lot to start with but my need to communicate diminished the longer we were apart. Then I hit the age of 18 and finished my exams, passing with flying colours and choosing to go and study at university. I turned 19 the autumn that I moved away and everything finally felt as if it was in the past. My parents were no longer as big a part of my life as they once had been, therefore neither was Jonathon.
It was the first December since I had left my mum’s house, I had decided that I was going to spend Christmas with my dad - just a quiet one the pair of after I hadn’t seen him for so long. I had left halls earlier in the month and returned home. I didn’t have a job here or anything so I had to spend the lead-up to Christmas in the house on my own whilst my dad was still working. It was three days before Christmas and I had gone out to do the massive food shop that always comes with the season, I was just unpacking the bags when there was a knock on the door. I thought it was probably somebody delivering a parcel, but was happily surprised when I opened it to find Crane. From the look on his face he was feeling the same.
“Jonathon, my god, I haven’t seen you in years. How are you?” I moved to allow him to come inside.
“I’m not too bad, how about you? My god you look so different now.” It was then that I spotted a gash on the side of his face, grooving across his perfect cheekbone.
“What happened, are you alright?” He looked bemused for a moment before reaching a hand to his face, there was blood still on it when he took it away.
“Oh, that… It was one of the patients at Arkham, had a break when I was in a room along with him. I’m fine, honestly.”
“At least let me get you something to patch it up with. You’re bleeding.” He looked a little awkward, only agreeing when he realised that I was worried about him. He probably hated the idea of upsetting me after everything we had discussed over the weekend.
A few minutes later I had found him a plaster, putting the kettle on for a cup of tea and sitting down at the kitchen table to catch up. He was interested in my studies, very apologetic about the divorce and assured you that if I needed anything whilst I was in town he was just a call away. I found out that he had moved up in the world, now the psychology lead at Arkham and lecturing part time at the university as well. He had left not too long later, but only after I had asked him to come over on Christmas Eve for dinner. It would be like old time, spending an evening with him and my Dad, probably watching die hard and laughing at them when they drank a glass too many of scotch.
~
Christmas Eve arrived, and with it came a small disaster. My dad had been called away for work urgently and was going to be away over Christmas, meaning that I was left to spend it alone. The dinner had been cancelled and with it all of my company for the festive season. I wasn’t planning on celebrating now, moping around and making a ready meal before settling down to watch ‘The Holiday’ with a glass of wine. I had just made myself comfortable when there was a knock on the door. “For fuck’s sake,” I thought, “I just want to get this bloody depressing evening over with.”
I answered the door, with a scowl, only to find my spurned dinner guest behind it.
“Jonathon, I thought I told you that Dad was away over Christmas, I cancelled dinner and everything.”
“I got your message. I was going to be alone for Christmas Eve as well, so I figured that we could be alone together, or something like that. Don’t worry about dinner, I’ve booked a place. I want this evening to be easy for you, just relax, God knows that you deserve after the last few years.”
It was then that I realised he was wearing a suit - a nicely tailored navy blue rather than the somewhat stuffy ones that he wore for work. In his hand was a bouquet of flowers, which he seemed to have forgotten.
“Jon, you brought me flowers?” He thrust them forwards then. “White roses, my…”
“…Your favourite.” He awkwardly interrupted, finishing my sentence. I gestured him inside, going to put the flowers in a vase.
“I’ll go and get ready then, make yourself at home and I’ll be as fast as I can.”
~
Half an hour later I was down the stair in a black dress and heels, hair haphazardly pinned up in a tumble of curls and makeup done. Jonathon emerged from the lounge, taking his coat off the peg and getting ready to go.
“Shall we then, the restaurant isn’t far so I thought we could walk.”
He was right, it wasn’t far at all and we were soon seated at a table. This place was more expensive than I was used to and we were half way through the main when I mentioned it.
“I’m not sure I can half this bill with you Jon, I’m a broke student.” He just chuckled good-naturedly in response.
“Don’t worry about it, it’s on me. It’s Christmas and I thought it would be a nice treat for both of us.”
“You sure?”
“I’m positive, since the new job I’ve been making a little more than I can spend on myself without feeling guilty.”
“How’s it going? Do you enjoy working at Arkham? And you lecture as well, right?” He hesitated before responding.
“I like my work at the asylum, it’s fascinating and there is such a rich body of patients to observe. Lecturing I don’t like quite so much, my students are a pain, none of them actually seem interested in the subject. If an assignment is handed in on time it’s a novelty for me. How are you finding university?”
“I can’t say I’m loving it, I haven’t made many friends really and the lecturers are a bit dull. I just wish that there was someone there I knew, that I could talk to.”
“Give it a bit more time, but if things aren’t working out you could always transfer to Gotham. It’s not the safest place in the world, or cheap, but the university is good. I can put a word in if you like, you can even stay with me for a while, give you a chance to get on your feet.”
“That’s really kind of you Jon, I’ll definitely think about it.”
At the end of the evening Jonathon paid as he had promised, refusing to even let me see the bill. When we stood from our seats he held out his coat to me, helping me to slip my arms through the too-long sleeves.
“Here, you’ll need it more than me.”
“Are you sure you won’t be cold.”
“I’ll be fine.” He proffered an arm to me as well, which he didn’t on the way there. He could tell I wasn’t used to this sort of treatment, but he had become more instinctually protective as the evening went on and couldn’t help himself.
“You’ve had a few glasses of wine, I want to make sure that youre steady. Can’t have you falling on the way back.” I slipped my hand through the crook of his left elbow, automatically bringing me closer to his warm body.
“You know, you are so much more grown up than when I last met you. You were a girl when you left and came back a well-rounded, compassionate woman. You should be proud of yourself for how you’ve turned out.”
“Well, you haven’t changed at all Dr Crane. Always were and still are wonderful to me.”
The little exchanged stopped shortly after that and we carried on the walk in comfortable silence. A small amount of snow had started to dust the ground, starting to visibly settle just as we reached the front door.  I stopped to retrieve the key out of my bag and fumbled with the lock before Jon put his hand on mine, stopping me. He looked up, signalling me to do the same. Above us a single sprig of mistletoe was hung on the doorframe.
“It would be a shame to waste the opportunity, don’t you think?”
“Are you sure? I mean, it isn’t that I don’t want to, but you’re my dad’s best friend. Are you sure it isn’t wrong?”
“Well, I want to kiss you and you want to be kissed, what’s wrong with that?”
“Nothing I suppose.”
“Well then, I’ll just be hanging around the mistletoe, hoping to be kissed.”
With that I reached up to him, bringing my lips to his in a passionate yet gentle kiss as he engulfed me in his arms. At that moment I could tell that, despite what I had originally thought, this was going to be a truly magical Christmas.

You and Melissa walked hand in hand downtown as you glanced at the shops you passed. A tattoo shop that was still lit up caught your attention, halting suddenly Melissa looked at you confused before you pointed.
"You want a tattoo?" She asked, they had always enticed you but you had always been too scared to get one in case you had regretted it. You nodded biting your bottom lip with a toothy grin "You wouldn't dare" she laughed "Too much of a good girl, what would your mommy say?" She teased.
She had a point, you lived to please your mother and her judgmental ways almost begging her to love you. Melissa had been her best friend since you had turned eighteen, she had even been invited to the party.
You squinted your eyes a bit before she added "What would you even get Tesoro?" Melissa added softly. "That exactly!" You smiled with a small giddy gasp "What?" She knitted her brows together confused "Tesoro".
"Naughty girl" she laughed leaning into you "getting the nickname that only I call you" brushing her nose under your ear.
That night you had saved their number on your phone and called once Melissa had left your apartment.
The following Wednesday you went in and got not only one but two tattoos both with meaning you knew you wouldn't regret.
Saturday was the next time you had seen the redhead at your family dinner "Tesoro, can you be a dear and please get me another beer?" She pouted. "Don't you dare!" Your Aunt Tony laughed "You told me to piss off and get my own!" She gasped.
"Fine. I'll get you one too" you chuckled with a little shake of your head as you wandered off into the kitchen. Once you had left your mother turned to the woman, wine in hand as she asked "Why do you call her Tesoro?".
Melissa only shrugged "Tesoro means treasure so it only makes sense cause she's golden, Y'know that" she spoke with an airy voice. "She's almost twenty-five and still isn't married let alone dating. I was married to her father and already had her by her age. There ain't nothing golden about that girl".
The redhead licked her teeth trying to tone down some of her arising rage "It was different back then Joanne, you and I both know it". Your mother only scoffed before ranting on about how kids these days were too sensitive "Boys are fawning over her at the church but she just brushes them off".
Joanne leant in "I'm scared she might be one of those lesbians" She nodded her head as if it was a disgrace. "And I'm not having my only daughter- my only child being one of them" and that was enough for Aunt Tony to excuse herself to go see what's taking you so long.
"Tesoro?" She teased running her fingers along the bottom of your back where your shirt had risen. Quickly you snapped up from the bottom of the fridge "Is that what the kids are doing these days? Getting tramp stamps of names given by their parent's best friends?" Tony chuckled.
"Maybe" you spoke holding your head high "Don't worry, I got one for your Aunt Jess too. It's normal that people to get tattoos for their partners, I don't judge baby" the woman placed a gentle hand on your upper arm.
Your mother had always believed the two had just been "good friends" Tony was your dad's sister. Jess had been a nurse in the nineties when she meet your Aunt after an ugly bar fight.
"There's another tattoo, Mel hasn't seen them yet- she doesn't know that I got it done" you mumbled. You can hear the yells of both unsupervised women before Melissa storms into the kitchen gripping your wrist and dragging you out of the house.
Stopping at the front door she turned back around "And if you ever do try that, and I mean ever. You best believe I'll shove my foot so far up your bitchy prestigious ass that you'll be tasting the leather of my heeled boots for months. Y/n is a grown fucking woman who I'm sure is capable of picking her own choice of lover, not some boy just learning about boobs!"
You had zoned out after that, focusing on Melissa's face as she defended you- how hot she looked doing it. The heat pooled in the pit of your stomach as your breathing got heavy "I think you should get going" Tony nodded to the door.
Melissa huffed before taking her leave, grip still tight on your wrist as she led you to the car. "God that was hot" you breathed out as she slammed your front door, pushing her against it as she pulled your shirt off.
Melissa stilled bringing her hand up softly to caress the area above your left breast, two lipstick mark tattoos. More specifically they were Melissa's lipstick marks that she had left you with that morning before she rushed to work. "Forever and always" she mumbles reading the line underneath leaving goosebumps in her wake.
"Wait till you see the treasure in the back" you winked turning to walk to your bedroom, Melissa's breath hitched "You naughty girl" she smirked before running after you.
