Fall(ing for You) – S.C
Pairing: sam carpenter x soft goth!reader
Summary: Sam is certain that Tara's new quiet friend may turn out to be Ghostface, unfortunately – or not –, that friend is you.
or, it takes the help of tara and a dog for sam to finally come to her senses.
Word count: 6,0k.
Content: scream 6 but without the killing, r's 23, cursing, wingman tara ft. yr dog, jokes abt r being ghostface, fluff, pining, sam falling first AND harder, silly movie references.
Note: hey guys, It's been a while since I've written for scream but I rewatched it recently and finally got some inspiration again! I describe the reader a little more in this but it won't really affect anything if you choose to ignore it.
English is not my first language.
Tara made a new friend.
Sam still isn't sure exactly, but the only plausible explanation for the way Tara has been acting lately is that her sister met someone interesting enough to keep her attention so that she gave everyone a break from her tantrums and reckless behavior since their new start outside of Woodsboro.
Now, that could be a good thing, it had been months since the kids started college and they were all doing relatively well. Mindy had Anika, Chad had Ethan and also there was Quinn, even though she wasn't very close to anyone. Tara should have someone too.
The problem is that Sam has no idea who this person is. Tara just won't tell her.
You see, Sam understands that she might have been a little too protective of her sister and that this made Tara's behavior become defensive towards her. Her new therapist – after she got rid of that quack – is helping her work through that, okay? But curiosity and worry were eating away at her insides. The curfews, the tasers and pepper sprays, and especially the ID checks were all important to keep them safe, dammit! Mindy and Chad had no problem with it, and it was only after all the appropriate measures were in place that Sam could breathe and let these new people be a part of their lives. Not knowing this so-called friend, let alone who they were, was driving her to the brink of a breakdown.
She was trying to give her some space, probing with subtle questions here and there and the most she got was an eye roll and ‘It’s just a sophomore I met at the film club, haven't you said I should try to be part of something that didn’t involve frat parties?’
Well, at least it wasn’t a boyfriend, given the lack of dreamy sighs, giggles into the phone and late-night escapades. That was good. They already had enough problems to deal with and a new relationship so quickly was the same as asking for a ghostface to go for them again and Sam hadn’t been back in Tara’s life long enough to know how to deal with this part of being a big sister yet.
Sam had understood that she wouldn’t meet this mysterious person for a while, at least until her sister’s tantrum had passed, and between two shitty jobs and trying to keep a structured life being responsible for a bunch of teenagers in the big city, she couldn’t find it in herself to insist on the subject any further and get the risk of causing a fight. She thought it would be forgotten.
Now just imagine Sam's surprise when she came home one night after a long, exhausting shift, expecting to eat the leftover pizza she had hidden in the fridge and fall into a deep sleep, only to be knocked over by an noisy and strange dog with a piece of pizza in its mouth as soon as she opened the apartment door. Her pizza.
“Koda!” Someone called. Someone unfamiliar. It wasn’t just the dog, there was a stranger in her house.
Sam’s hand instinctively moves to reach for the taser hidden in her jacket when a pair of black-clad legs show up in her vision. Does Ghostface work with dogs now? She wonders in confusion for a moment, and has given up on the voice changer?
The only thing stopping her from tasing this potential killer in front of her is the pure bewilderment and Tara’s laughter filling the room.
“Oh my god,” the figure bends down, picking up the dog who turns out to be a very excited puppy, the pizza falling from its mouth and onto her shirt, getting it all over her, “I’m so sorry.”
It’s a girl, a face she’s never seen before, looking completely mortified.
“Hey, Sam,” Tara stops beside her, a barely hidden tone of satisfaction in her voice, “This is my friend. I thought you’d like to meet her.”
It's safe to say that Sam didn't like Tara's new friend at all.
“You didn’t think about telling me you were bringing someone?” Sam exclaimed, rubbing her temples wearily, “Especially that Lydia Deetz project right there? I almost shocked her in the middle of the hallway!”
Quinn shifted from where she was leaning against the counter in the small impromptu meeting and didn’t bother to hold back her laugh, “Nah, I think Tara would fit that role better.”
“Quinn,” Sam groaned exasperatedly.
“If I had told you you would have said no,” Tara shrugged.
“Yes! Because we don’t know her!”
It was quite awkward sitting on the couch in their living room less than five feet away from the kitchen and being able to hear every word spoken as if you weren't right there, with your messy dog happily chewing on the sock on your ankle.
This wasn't the turn you expected your night to take when you decided to accept Tara's sudden invitation for a movie night, visiting her off-campus for the first time since you became friends.
You met her at the start of the school year, the day she showed up for a film club meeting before anyone else arrived, well, anyone except you. She seemed completely lost and suspicious, even though she was clearly struggling not to show it, which made you like her right away.
Getting attention and starting conversations was never really your thing, this whole club thing wasn't either, honestly, but you ended up being one of the last older members to join with most of the others having recently graduated and the responsibility of looking after the new freshmans gradually fell on you. Most of the time you kept to yourself, preferring the behind-the-scenes side of things to participating in the long-winded debates of high school teens obsessed with slashers and making Stab parodies, but you noticed the way Tara seemed desperate for any sense of normalcy beneath her laid-back facade and the whispers of murder that haunted her.
You took what seemed like a rabid kitten under your wing and ended up cornered by the personification of a Doberman because of it. Talk about doing good deeds and stepping out of your comfort zone. What a joke.
Tara’s older sister, Sam, if you got it right, stared at you with narrowed, suspicious eyes – just like Tara when you first approached her – towering over your figure that tried to look smaller than it actually was on the couch, as if she was trying to learn every little hidden detail about you.
“So…” you began hesitantly, wanting to break the awkward silence that had ensued, “you have such a beautiful house.”
“Aren’t you too old to hangout with a freshmen?" Sam cut in coldly, one eyebrow perfectly arched in distrust.
You sighed, this conversation sure started off very well, “I’m 23,” you cleared your throat, “Tara’s in the same club as me, and I’ve just been helping her with some classes I used to take when I first started here.”
You hear Tara’s distinct chuckle, clearly amused by your frustration, which doesn’t help your situation much. What a wonderful friend, indeed.
Sam hummed with fake indifference and the other two housemates watched the exchange intently, eyes darting between you like they were at a tennis match, amused by the sight of Sam trying to intimidate the poor unsuspecting twit that you were.
A great friend, for sure. Ugh, this is why you don’t sponsor obviously troubled kids.
It’s not like Sam Carpenter is really intimidating or scaring you out the way she seems to want to, she has bags under her eyes and a greasy pizza stain on her shirt and you’re a grown woman, for God’s sake! It’s just that it was extremely embarrassing to cause a scene like that, especially with someone who you really wanted to make a good first impression.
Interacting so much socially lately was becoming relatively exhausting and you expected it wouldn't become a thing, as you were feeling a bit overwhelmed by everything. You hoped this would be the last big meeting you had for a while. Tara had told you a lot about her sister, mainly about how it was a pain in the ass to always have someone hovering over her, but it was something you never took seriously because of the way she sounded when she talked about it, too loving for someone who hated the situation so much. No, Sam was important and Tara had insisted that you meet her after doing the same with the twins just a few days ago. You had carefully planned how it would happen, what clothes you would wear and what you would say and now your chance to make things right was ruined, the words seeming to have escaped you in a flash. You were reserved, quiet, small in the midst of so much hustle and bustle, used to watching everything go by from the safety of the shadows. Being a mouse was easy.
“Is that all you have to say?”
Less easy when caged with a lion.
“Look,” you tried again, silently squirming as your pup start sniffing Sam’s combat boots furiously as you stood to pick him up, “I really didn’t want to cause any trouble or misunderstanding, Tara called me earlier while I was walking this little guy and insisted it would be okay if I came over for a movie. I can leave now if you want to, I’m really sorry for… well, all of this.”
You noticed Sam's expression became conflicted, as if she didn't know exactly what to make of you standing in the middle of her living room without showing any threat and wasn't used to people actually listening to her on sight. Still, she wasn't going to give up that easily.
“Great,” Sam nodded, her voice sounding less firm, “go then.” She pointed directly at your dog, now sitting at her feet with its fluffy head tilted to the side in a guiltily innocent manner, “And make sure to take that pizza thief with you.”
(You swear he looked personally offended.)
“What? No!” Tara seemed to realize that her little game could backfire and came out from behind the counter in your defense.
“Tara—”
“Come on, Sam, it's movie night!” She stomped her foot loudly, “I refused the invite to Jason's party for that, we were marathoning all the Texas Chainsaw Massacres!”
You don’t even have to be good at reading people to know that Sam had lost that fight the moment Tara looked at her with pleading eyes, knowing that there was no way to blame her for simply doing what she asked.
That didn’t stop Sam from rolling her eyes and huffing in irritation.
“Fine,” she practically growled, shifting her attention back to you, “But I’m gonna keep an eye on you, so you better not act all smart and keep that fleabag away from me.”
“His name’s Koda.” You pointed out, before softening, “And thank you, I promise I’m not gonna—”
“Shush.”
Sam was sure this was all part of an act of yours, just the first step to infiltrate their lives and pull the rug out like others have done before, because no one in their right mind would sit quietly next to someone who nearly shocked and threatened them in many ways just a few minutes ago.
Especially if that someone is burning holes in your head with their eyes, like she's doing now.
Sam watches shamelessly and intrigued, shooting daggers at your figure as you lean back with Tara babbling enthusiastically between you, your puppy completely knocked out on her lap, oblivious to the sounds of death and fake blood spurting from the TV. She notices the way you effectively ignore her, responding to Tara’s remarks with genuine interest, even if your voice doesn’t match her enthusiasm.
You remained quiet beyond those moments and the tiredness along with your lack of sudden movements made Sam feel secure enough to leave the room and finally take a shower – because along with everything she never saw much fun in these movies like Tara –, warning you that it was better for everyone to finish the night when the movie ended.
(She also forced Quinn to take her place on the couch and promise to scream if anything happened. You didn't comment on that either.)
Sam only falls asleep when she hears the sounds of goodbyes coming from the living room and the door house being closed, finally relaxing after all the interaction, deciding that it was enough. You could have been at her house, but that doesn't mean she would let you come over again.
You come back, because of course Tara doesn’t give a damn about Sam’s warnings about being careful around strangers – incessantly claiming that you’re not a stranger – and there you are at the next game night that Chad insisted on making a tradition.
At least there’s no sign of the shirt-destroying furball this time and there are pizzas smelling good on the kitchen counter.
“‘Sup, Sam!” Chad greeted loudly as she walked through the door, waving excitedly from the couch, “We’re playin’ uno!”
Her eyes landed on you, who waved at her with a small, tight smile, awkwardly sandwiched between Anika and Ethan, the way you stood out among them so comical that Sam suppressed a snort. She decided to join in without much protest, someone responsible still had to watch you, after all.
Sam wouldn’t admit to anyone, absolutely anyone, that she was enjoying the evening, listening to the heated exchanges as everyone got competitive. Strangely, she noticed that you didn’t try to engage much in the conversation, just like the other night, seeming happy to just be there. She thought you had been withdrawn then because of her behavior towards you, but maybe you were just shy.
That made her raise an eyebrow, Tara didn’t usually embrace introverts. Actually, she had always been pretty popular even before Sam left, if she remembered correctly, so this was new. She felt a small piece of curiosity spark inside her instead of more mistrust as she expected and it disconcerted her.
“The whole point of the 7 card is that you're not supposed to talk, man!” Mindy throwing chips at Ethan interrupted Sam's flow of thoughts.
“This rule is stupid! The manual doesn't even mention it, read it for yourself!” Ethan shuffled the cards wildly – everyone at the table had seen his hand – pointing, “And you’re talking too!”
“Whatever! Nobody reads the fuckin manual to play uno, Ethan!”
Tara groaned, “Guys, just shut up and everybody buys a card.”
“But that’s not how you play!”
She decided to abandon the game and all the fuss in favor of getting some air and a slice of pizza and was surprised to find that her favorite was still untouched, which was a miracle in such a crowded house.
“Tara said that you liked this flavor,” your voice coming from nearby startled her and Sam saw you gesture to the box in front of her, “My treat, for the other day.”
She cleared her throat hesitantly, “You didn’t have to.”
“I did,” you dismissed with a wider smile, “My dog left you without dinner.”
Sam didn’t respond, but you leaned against the counter next to her anyway, picking at the dark polish on your nails casually, listening to your friends arguing in the background.
“Get tired of the crowd?” Sam asked, deciding that ignoring you wasn’t an option since you clearly weren’t leaving.
“Yeah,” you agreed, shrugging with an odd laugh, “I guess I’ve had enough socializing for one day.”
Sam wasn’t sure why she didn’t just send you away then, seizing the perfect chance to dismiss you like she’d wanted all along and avail everyone's presence to remind that you weren’t welcome, but that strange spark flared in her and made her smile unconsciously, more sincere than the previous tense ones.
“Oh, I know what you mean,” she agreed slowly.
Your expression brightens in surprise, as if you expected a cold, blunt rejection or maybe a slap (probably both) and Sam feels a bit guilty by it. Sighing, she waves you towards the apartment’s tiny balcony, silently inviting you to join her, to which you respond with a firm nod as you watch her unwind the chain on the sliding door – they keep everything locked up tight now – and follow her.
Sam swears she’s not doing this to be nice or anything, all she wants is to repay you for your politeness, that’s all.
The night breeze is refreshing and sends pleasant shivers down your arms and shoulders as Sam leans against the railing and the two of you fall silent. It’s pleasant, actually.
Sam takes a moment to look at you, like, really look at you for the first time since you met and her breath hitches.
Your relaxed features look cheerful and are well-emphasized by the makeup you’re wearing – she tries to search her memory and gets frustrated when she can’t remember if it’s the same style as the night you met – your hair blows a little in the wind and your clothes just fit. Every single thing about you seems to have been specially made to be this way, charming, beautiful.
Your elbow brushes hers in the small space as you lean in to better contemplate the dreary, empty New York sky and Sam’s skin is burning and she doesn’t understand why.
Sam didn’t realize, through all the haze of anger and suspicion and tantrum, until she was touching a pretty girl, that you were, in fact, a pretty girl.
Shit.
“You’re trying so hard not to like her that I’m getting embarrassed for you.”
It’s late. Everyone has already left, including you, who went early claiming you had to work the next morning. Tara should be in bed by now, but she’d be upset if Sam told her to do that, so she doesn’t say anything.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about,” Sam dismisses, packing up the last of the leftover pizza to put in the fridge.
“But you do,” Tara hums smugly, stifling a yawn, “Just admit that you were wrong and that I’ve made a friend who’s not a potential serial killer. And that you might have a crush on her. I saw you two on the balcony.”
“It wasn’t like that,” she grumbles, “And I wasn’t wrong for being worried that you brought home a stranger without telling me, even if she’s not dangerous.”
“Ha!” Tara points out, “So you admit she’s no danger.”
Sam sighs tiredly, bringing a hand up to massage her temple, “She can keep coming over for movie nights or whatever if that’s what you're asking me.”
Tara cheered, jumping up from where she was sitting on the counter to finally go to sleep. She stopped just before turning the corner to her room.
“Seriously though,” she caught Sam’s attention, “You guys have more in common then you might think, that’s why I like her. I think you could too, if you get to know her better.”
“That’s impossible, Tar,” Sam says weary, looking at her sister with the most done expression, “I don’t ‘get to know’ anyone, I already have all the people I need in my life.”
“Maybe you’ll be surprised,” she shrugged, “It would be good for you anyway.”
Sam's approval was all Tara needed to make you a regular fixture in their lives and make movie nights an official thing. Sam usually walks in when they're in full swing, with the two of you deep in conversation about the completely random movie you decided to watch that day, and now she greets you back instead of ignoring like she did before and you look happier every time she does it openly.
She finds excuses to wander around the living room and kitchen when she hears Tara pause the tv for whatever reason, just so she doesn't leave you unsupervised in their house – it was still too early to rule out all the care, after all. It ends up making her feel kind of ridiculous, because, hell, she shouldn't have to make excuses to wander around her own house! But you guys talk during these moments, sometimes.
Sam learns more about you as time goes on, and she tells herself that it's just gathering information, that you're not friends at all, but she finds herself soaking up every bit of detail. What are you majoring in, how long have you been in town, if you live close to campus like most students or if you have roommates like them.
(Actually, when she thinks about it now, Sam probably sounded more like a maniac trying to find out where you live, but at least you didn’t call her out on it.)
Then movie nights are joined by study sessions that Tara insists on having as her first week of finals approaches, and you manage to convince Sam to let you bring your puppy too so he won’t be alone for so many hours and she can act a little more normal around you and have a conversation that doesn’t sound like a job interview. You tell her about the movies you like – which consist of more than just an extensive list of slashers like she initially assumed – in a loud and excited tone instead of your usual repressed one, and it stirs something inside her, which leads to several other facts. Your favorite color, what kind of music you like, what you do when her sister isn't dragging you somewhere, and why you decided to adopt a dog so young when you already had so many other responsibilities.
“He helps me not feel alone,” you replied, looking deep into her eyes, “my roommate graduated last year and moved out. I guess I couldn’t stand coming home to empty houses, you know? And he’s my guard dog, he takes care of me and I take care of him. The little guy might be small but knows how to do damage.”
She could relate to that, in part.
And then you start asking too, suddenly and Sam finds herself with a dilemma after so long avoiding your attempts to get to know her. She’d rather remain closed off.
But a trade isn’t a fair trade unless she gives you something back, is it? And you’ve been quenching her thirst for knowledge for a long time now, you gave her a lot.
So, during one night when you insist on helping her make dinner, she confides in you – somewhat reluctantly – that she really enjoys cooking, especially healthier meals. She doesn't look at you, nor does she say it clearly but still, you listen and Sam is surprised when she finds herself speaking.
“You really should ask her out.”
And of course, Tara is always close enough to raise an eyebrow with a knowing look at her on practically every occasion.
“I've told you already, it's not like that.”
“You're cuddling her dog right now.”
“Just so he stays quiet and doesn't disturb you two! Shouldn't you be studying, by the way?”
“Ugh, you’re so annoying.”
Sam can almost, almost admit that you're her friend too.
(Though she kinda wished it were a little more than that.)
Movie nights evolve into sleepovers, because Sam argues that it’s simply too late and dangerous for you to come back alone and she feels embarrassed – and guilty as much – when Quinn brings up that it has always been dangerous and she didn’t mind letting you go before, when she didn’t care about you.
Now there are some of your clothes in a drawer Tara set aside for you just like a colorful food bowl in the living room for your dog – Mindy jokes that it's theirs now – and there’s rarely a day that goes by where she doesn’t see you.
And when you don’t come over, Tara makes sure to remind her of how anxious she looks waiting for a knock on the door and how she lights up when you greet her first when you finally arrive.
“I swear that now she comes here more to see you than me.”
“You’re imagining things.”
“Yeah, sure,” she huffs, “And when are you gonna make a move again?”
“Never, Tara.”
Sam hasn't heard a thing about you in days. Tara said yesterday that you ended up getting really busy with a college project, preparing a presentation that, her sister quotes, 'needs to be perfect because public speaking is horrible and there's a big chance I'll embarrass myself.'
It's not that Sam asked, it's just that she doesn't text you often and Tara thought it would be convenient to talk about it out loud when she was on the phone with Mindy.
Anyway, it doesn't really matter, it's not like you two are close. You are Tara's friend. If it weren't for her, you two wouldn't even have a reason to see each other. There's no reason to be so stressed.
But she misses you anyway. She's having a shitty day at her shitty job and everything seems to go by even slower because Sam knows that when she gets home at night you probably won't be on the couch waiting with the soft smile she's grown accustomed to looking forward and if she has to deal with another group of rude teenagers she'll freak out.
The sound of the bell ringing at the entrance draws Sam’s attention back to the counter and she ends up face to face with the person who has been on her mind all day.
“Sam!” you approached with a tired smile, your dog wagging his tail happily on a leash in one hand and a paper bag in the other, “I was looking for you.”
You'd never visited her at work before, she didn't even know you knew where it was, having only mentioned it in passing, but there you were, with the smile she wanted to see and bags under your eyes.
“Hi,” she cleared her throat, feeling her face heat up. Damn, she looked like a teen girl with a crush, “I didn't expect to see you here, what, uhm, what do you need?”
You snorted at her flustered attending voice. Seeing her show any kind of nervousness was very unusual.
“Tara called me today demanding I get out of the house for a bit and ‘touch some grass’, so I decided to bring this buddy along, he was begging me for a proper walk,” you shrugged, “And she asked me to bring your lunch.”
Sam paused at that, Tara definitely didn't make lunches for her, much less go to the trouble of delivering them like that.
“...Thank you,” she accepted the paper bag you held out delicately, eyeing the package suspiciously. You held back a giggle when she looked at you again, “Anything else?”
“Oh, um,” you shifted your weight from one foot to the other, obviously nervous, “I’m taking Koda to the park nearby and I thought maybe you’d like to come with us. If you can, of course.”
Sam couldn’t really, it was still a few hours before her shift ended at the coffee shop, but she didn’t want you to leave without the promise of seeing you again.
“Of course,” she found herself replying instead, “I can meet you there in a few minutes.”
She knew she’d made the right decision when you gifted her with one of your warm smiles.
“Okay! Nice,” you nod, absently twirling your dog’s leash around your fingers, startled by the sudden, loud bark he lets out at the delay, breaking the oblivious bubble you were in, “Alright, I should go before he starts trying to jump over the counter.”
Sam barely hears the sound of the bell announcing your departure over how loudly her heart pounds in her ears.
It takes a lot of willpower and her last pack of good cigarettes to convince her insufferable coworker — who’d watched the whole thing with a bored expression and loudly chewing gum while cleaning the coffee machine — to cover the rest of her shift. He ended up ordering her lunch too, thinking it might be something special, only to complain when he was met with a sad peanut butter and jelly sandwich and a carton of warm apple juice. Tara really didn’t cook… but then why had she done that?
(She laughed at him anyway.)
“You owe me, Carpenter,” he grumbled, taping a note to her arm that had fallen out of the package.
“Yeah, yeah. Whatever.”
Sam was out the door before he could change his mind.
Taking a deep breath of the damp autumn air, she picked up the yellow post-it note curiously, recognizing her sister’s handwriting immediately.
‘u looked so depressed lately that I
decided to send u a gift
DO something this time
good luck!!’
She knew. She fucking knew that smartass had set her up. Sam should have guessed it before. Tara would never let her get away with this without doing something with her own hands. At least she hadn’t brought Mindy into the scheme this time.
The park you had mentioned was more like a small square and with the rainy cold weather of the last few days, it was pretty empty. Sam could spot you without difficulty, sitting on one of the few benches watching the scenery and she made her presence known when she got close enough.
“Can he even sit still sometimes?” Sam asked, hands in her bomber jacket pockets, pointing with her chin at the dog playing alone on the grass. You moved a little so she could sit next to you and subtly moved closer when she did.
“It rained last night and he's a big fan of puddles,” you chuckled, “I guess he's just excited, we haven't been out much lately.”
He wasn't the puppy he'd been when Sam had first seen him a few months ago and the sight of him running around the trees chasing flowers and stray twigs was actually quite funny.
“He's so covered in mud that it looks like a bear.”
“Well, his name's Koda,” you pointed out amusedly, “I would have called him Pongo but he always looked more like a small bear than a dalmatian anyway.”
She snorted, “If you say so.”
Sam couldn't remember a time when she felt so relaxed, with the weight of your shoulder resting against hers, enjoying the weather of the early season, the ground covered in orange and yellow leaves framing your surroundings.
She couldn't stop the restlessness she felt inside her chest, watching your profile. Feeling warm inside, but also shivering with a terrible fear of ruining everything. Do something, do something, do something echoing like a mantra in her head.
Sam took a deep breath. She'd faced murderers before, for God's sake! She could be braver than that.
"So..." She coughed, "Tara set this up, you know? The lunch stuff and everything."
You turned your attention to Sam, raising an eyebrow with a confused look.
"She did?" You asked, "Why would she do that?"
It's now or never, Carpenter. Focus.
“She did it so I could see you,” she looked away, “Because I missed you. Because I…” She felt your hand reach for hers and noticed a fallen leaf on your shoulder.
“Because you…?” your voice echoed anxious. She could do this. She's going to do this.
“I—”
A loud howl scared the two of you and you turned to see Koda behind a pile of leaves, pupils dilated and jumping up and down.
“Oh no.”
“What?” She stammered.
“He saw a pigeon.”
You see, Sam is not a pet person. She has only had one guinea pig her entire life and only before her father left and a 6-year-old Tara let it escape from its cage never to be seen again – poor Darwin would always be remembered – she does not know how to handle dogs, much less big, excitable ones like yours.
Yet she grabs the leash from your hands when you finally reach your dog who won't stop barking at a tree and ignores your warnings that he is heavy and strong, Sam, it will end up dragging you away and tries to gently pull him to convince him to let go so you can get out of there. Because she is big and strong and she wants to show you that she can handle a mere happy dog.
He acknowledges her like she wanted and also drags her like you said he would.
This manages to surprise her more than the first stab wound she took, how one minute she’s standing still, telling your silly dog to walk in a confident condescending tone, and the next she’s running at full speed through the trees and puddles of the park, your worried voice ringing behind her, as does your laughter.
“Sam!” you exclaimed from a distance, hands cupped around your mouth and dark red scarf falling from your neck, “You need to stop!”
She does stop, yes, but only after your dog has already circled her and Sam must be a ridiculous sight with a colorful leash wrapped around her legs and a dog panting with its tongue out next to her.
“Oh my god,” you lean in closer, unable to hide the amusement in your voice, “Are you okay?”
Sam huffed, feeling a strand of hair fall across her face: “A little help would be appreciated.”
“Sure,” you laughed, reaching out to carefully untangle it, “Maybe I should call him Pongo after all.”
She rolled her eyes: “Don’t mock me.”
“I’m not mocking you, it’s just cute.”
Sam opened her mouth to retort, only to realize how close you two were, with your hands resting on her shoulders to steady her and your faces just inches apart, your breath tickling her skin. You seemed to realize the same thing, tongue coming out to wet your lips, your gaze fixed on her mouth.
Do something. Do something. Do something.
She finally does something. She kisses you.
It's all a mix of sensations, she feels when you sigh, breathing through your nose in surprise and satisfaction, she feels where your hands tighten on the fabric of her jacket and tastes you, warm lips contrasting with the cold skin of your cheeks, with traces of coffee, lipstick and something else so undeniably you that Sam swears her heart might stop.
You pull apart hesitantly, breathing fast, noses touching, eyes shining, and she feels herself falling, literally. Your dog jumps on your waist, demanding to be petted, and you fall, taking Sam with you.
Landing in a pile of leaves is more uncomfortable than the movies make it out to be, but Sam can’t find it in herself to protest when you’re the one on top of her. She smiles and you laugh out loud. She didn’t mess up.
“You’re covered in leaves,” you say, running your fingers through her hair, “And your face is smeared with black lipstick.”
She scoffs, “I wonder who’s responsible for that.”
“He is,” you point innocently at the dog standing next to you.
Sam rolls her eyes, but cups your face with her cold hands to pull you close again, and the second kiss she gives you is just as magical as the first.
Tara doesn’t expect to find a dog taking up the entire couch for the first time in days when she comes back from Chad’s dorm after sending you off on a fake mission to find her sister. Yet, hours later, there it is, with one of the sneakers she forgot to put away when she got home from class stuck in his mouth and trails of mud and leaves across the room.
“C’mon, man, that’s not a toy!”
She hears a laugh and finds herself face to face with Sam, looking completely filthy despite the sound of the shower running in the hallway and Tara knows Quinn isn’t home yet. Oh.
“So, you finally did something?”
Sam nods solemnly, pointing to the dark kiss etched into her jaw.
“I did.”

The Joke's On
Hi guys!
This is a request but I can't find it and that's break my heart because the idea was sooo fun to write 😔 Dear anon where are you, please come back?
Well I'm not really happy with the end, but please enjoy this one 🙃
TW : People scaring people, a lot of angst, (fake) blood.
______________________________________________________________
Alessia is a spontaneous and adorable girl and this is probably what you prefer about her. Not to mention her beautiful smile, her incredible blue eyes and her little angel face. You fall in love with her the very first time your eyes lay on her. You were first friends, before you try to make a move by asking her on a date. The rest is history and you are both very happy.
You realized pretty soon after you met her that scaring her was something really easy and you have to admit that you abuse it a little. Whether during your trainings or in your apartment, every opportunity is good to make her jump or scream. And if you can film it to keep those memories, it’s even better.
Even if it must bore her in the long run, Alessia doesn't seem to hold it against you, laughing once the fear has passed. At least it was what you imagined.
********
With the Arsenal team, after celebrating New Year, you flew to Portugal for a training camp. You enjoy this kind of moment generally, because it allows the team to get together and enjoy themselves after a little separate time. It’s more appreciated for you as you fly away with your girlfriend, both playing for Arsenal.
After having celebrated Christmas separately, Alessia joined you in your native Ireland to celebrate New Year together. You then flew back to London, where you flew with the rest of the team to Portugal. Climate change is significant, even if it rains almost as much as in London. This isn't where you will perfect your tan, unlike Katie and Caitlin who were coming back from Australia tanned like never before.
Speaking of Katie, it's with your compatriot that you return to the hotel after your little night walk. Alessia refused to accompany you, like all the others finally. This didn't surprise you, today’s training was particularly physical and tiring. But if you don’t have your little night walk, you can’t fall asleep.
"Where’s Lessi?" you ask, frowning, once you joined the team in the common room.
Most of them sit in front of the television, but there’s no trace of your girlfriend.
"She said she wanted to wash her hair, I think" Lia says, smiling nicely.
You smile while rolling your eyes. Alessia has a very special hair care routine and you like to tease her about it. This doesn't prevent you from regularly offering to brush her hair or dry it, loving to take care of her and the smile she offers you when you do it.
"I’ll go see her" you decide, going to the elevators.
"Don’t do things I wouldn’t do" Katie teases you maliciously.
Blushing in spite of yourself, you show her your middle finger before leaving the room and joining the room that Alessia shares with Lotte. The staff having the habit of not putting couples together, you find yourself with Caitlin. Which is not disturbing since you like the young woman, but you’d rather sleep with your girlfriend.
Out of pure politeness, you knock on the door before sliding the magnetic card she gave you earlier. You are however surprised to see that the room is plunged into darkness, just like the bathroom. Either Alessia did it faster than usual, or she changed her mind.
Leah not being in front of the television either, you go to the room that she shares with Katie.
"Is Alessia with you?" you ask your captain once she opened the door.
"No, just Beth and Viv. Why?"
"She’s not downstairs and she’s not in her room" you answer with a frown.
"Did you try calling her?" asks Beth from the bed where she’s sitting on.
You shake your head and take your phone out of your pocket to try to call her, Leah pulling you inside the room so you don’t get stuck in the hallway.
"Are you sure she’s not downstairs?" asks Leah
"Yeah. Lia told me she went up to her room" you mumbled
When you land on her voicemail after several tones, your eyebrows are so wrinkled that Leah would be jealous. You look at your phone screen as if it was responsible for the silence of your favorite blonde, before writing her a message.
"Oh look at this poor little thing missing, her sweetheart’s hugs" teases you Beth.
You roll your eyes once again, before putting your phone back in your pocket, checking that it's not silent to hear Alessia’s answer.
"Go back check downstairs, maybe she went down when you went up"
You approve Viv’s advice before coming out of the room to go to the ground floor. You take a look in Alessia’s room and in yours by the way, both completely empty. And, when you find yourself again in the TV room without any Alessia on the horizon, you look so defeated that it seems to alert Manu.
"You all right, Mate?"
It draws the attention of others to you and you shrug your shoulders. In truth, her disappearance is beginning to worry you. All the others, except Beth, Viv and Leah are here.
"I can’t find Alessia"
"Isn’t she in our room?" Lotte wonders and you shake your head negatively.
"In Leah’s? Or yours?" Katie asks.
But you shake your head twice at these proposals, nervously passing your hand in your hair.
"It’s starting to worry me" you whisper to Katie.
You know you’re probably gonna get teased by one or two people, but when her eyes cross yours, Katie understands that you’re serious. You see her exchange a look with Caitlin before getting up from the chair on which she had settled.
"I’ll help you look for it, she must not be far"
She puts a hand on your shoulder while training with her outside the room.
"I’m coming with you" Kyra proposes, standing on her legs.
"She's not answering her phone either" you inform them.
At Katie’s request, you try to call her again but in vain. You take a look in the common areas of the hotel, even going to the gym. But after looking almost everywhere, there is no trace of your blonde.
"Let’s go back to the rooms" proposes Kyra by heading to the elevators.
You follow them mechanically, pulling out your phone to try to reach her again.
"What is that?"
You’re not paying attention to Kyra’s question, until Katie approaches what the Australian is pointing at. When Katie gets up with something in her hand, you feel your stomach drops.
"It's Lessi's phone!"
You almost rip the phone out of Katie’s hands, turning on the screen to see that the oldest notifications are two hours old. There are also your missed calls and messages. When you look up at your two teammates, your face is livid.
"I’ll call the police" you decide without hesitation.
"There must be a logical explanation, Y/N, don’t panic" Kyra kindly tells you.
"Alessia has been missing for two hours, no one knows where she is and her phone is found on the floor in the hotel hallway! What more do you need, Kyra seriously?"
"Stay calm, don’t yell at her" Katie steps in and puts a hand on your shoulder.
But you just glare at her. That’s when Leah’s room opens, revealing your captain’s face.
"Why are you making all this noise?" asks the blonde.
"Less is missing, she’s nowhere to be found and her phone was on the floor in the hallway" you almost yell at Leah, hoping for a little more support.
You’re almost reassured to see Leah’s blemish face. She also knows Alessia well and they’re friends.
"Maybe she went for a walk too?" asks Beth.
"Less?" snorts Leah
"Nah, if she didn’t want to follow her missus, she wouldn’t have left by herself" Katie add.
"Keep talking, I’ll get my jacket and then I’ll tell Jonas I’m going to the cops"
You lose patience quickly, nerves more tense than ever. You died of worry, it's not in Alessia’s habits to disappear like this without even taking care to warn anyone. You can already imagine the worst-case scenarios, the main one being a kidnapping of your girlfriend by a psychopath.
"I’m coming with you"
In two seconds, Leah puts on her jacket and follows you to Alessia’s room.
"I left it here" you mumble to Leah, opening the door for the third time this evening.
But this time, as you take your jacket off a chair in the room something catches your eye. Something you haven’t seen before.
"Leah" you call in a fear voice
"What?"
The blonde was waiting for you at the open door and slide her head through the yawn. Your finger shakes when you point the red puddle on the ground.
"You said you checked the room!" exclaims Leah with wide eyes
"I did! I hadn’t seen it before!"
You feel panic so much that you wonder if you’re not going to throw up. You don't know what you will find when you open the bathroom door, in truth you don't really ask yourself, which is probably better that way.
The bathroom light turns on suddenly when the door is open. And, instead of facing a horror scene, you find yourself facing a laughing Alessia who jumps on you.
"Gotcha!"
You are too shocked to react, not realizing that almost all of your teammates are now in the corridor to witness Alessia’s victory. Leah highfive with Alessia above your head when you finally realize what just happened.
"Did you know about this?" you ask Katie, still half stunned by the outcome of the evening.
"Of course we did, we even helped her set it up" laughs Katie, triggering more laughter around you.
"Traitor" you moan, holding back a smile.
Katie laughs again and your eyes fall on Alessia’s delighted face when your best friend takes the others out of the room to "let you back on earth".
"Are you okay?" asks Alessia, looking uncertain, seeing you always looking stunned.
"I hate you" you mumble and smile in spite of yourself.
Alessia laughs and fondly hugs you to kiss your head.
"Oh baby, I’m sorry. But maybe now you’ll think twice before you hide a plastic spider in my sneakers. Or stick a photo of gollum on my rearview mirror. Or…"
"Okay, Okay Babe. I get it"
You’ve probably never been so calm in a long time as at the end of the evening, to the delight of your teammates and your girlfriend. The blonde probably ends up feeling a little guilty, since she begs Leah to accept that you and Lotte swap rooms for the night so you can sleep together. Faced with Alessia’s level of supplication, Leah finally gave in.
So it’s with pleasure that you snuggled up against Alessia after your shower and put on your pajamas. The pretty blonde doesn't wait before passing an arm around your waist to hold you against her.
"Aren’t you mad at me?" asks Alessia after a few seconds of silence.
You’re amused by the question, but don’t be surprised either. The kindness and benevolence of the blonde are known to everyone. It even surprises you that she managed to put all this together without changing her mind and thinking that it might cause you too much panic.
"Nah. I’m actually quite impressed with what you managed to organize" you admit.
Your finger drawing shapes on her belly, you feel it contracting when she laughs softly. Again, you can’t help but smile. Her laughter is the sweetest of melodies to your ears.
"I asked Katie and Leah to help me. And then we got everyone involved. There’s just Kyra who didn’t know, we were too afraid that she would give you information unintentionally."
You hum for any answer, continuing to slide your finger on her skin. Tonight’s emotions tired you to be completely honest.
"I really thought something had happened to you" you admit quietly after another moment of silence.
You know perfectly well that Less could tease you a little more, but you also know that she’s not going to do it before you open your mouth.
"I’m fine. And I’m right here with you"
She tightens you against her and you find yourself lying almost entirely on her, which you will not complain about at all.
"On the other hand if now I do not let you take a step without having stuck me to you, you should not complain"
"It fits me perfectly. Now please kiss me."

han jisung and yn being absolutely in love with each other for 5 minutes — [1.3m views]
description. Cute moments caught on camera between han and yn
tags. f!reader, gidle!reader, maknae!reader, use of yn, gidle has a video with skz of competition, reader calls him oppa like once
comments. I have nothing to say, these are just some random scenarios I thought about and wrote. Please enjoy! <3
✰ first clip
During an award event, yn was yet again lost in the crowd. And the other members were trying to find her, even if discreetly.
But then, one of the cameras caught yn bumping into someone. Well, that someone being han jisung.
It was clear even from a distant that both of them got embarrassed by it, quickly bowing and apologizing.
Both of them stayed there awkwardly smiling, until han grabbed his phone to show yn something. To which she excitedly typed something in, before seeing Shuhua running in her direction.
Saying a quick goodbye, she ran off to shuhua's arms, having to listen to a scold and a teasing about always being lost.
What the camera did not caught was their conversation.
“You got his number?!”
“Yess!! I'm literally dying right now!”
“If he says anything bad to you I'm hunting him down all over Korea!”
✰ second clip
As the chk chk boom challenge went viral, a lot of idols were quick to do them. That meant that yn was also doing it.
In the clip, yn is seen trying to hold back her laughter, standing right next to han who was with the same expression waiting for the chorus to begin.
Yn did the challenge with han smoothly, until she messed up at the very end, making both of them burst out in laugh.
Laughing, yn lost the strength to keep standing on her legs, now almost falling to the floor.
Well, until han almost ran (even if they were already pretty close) to her and caught yn on his arms, still laughing.
It's very hard to see due to the camera, but if you squint your eyes hard enough you'll notice a tint of blush on jisung's face, and yn slowly getting more flustered if not for the video ending.
✰ third clip
During han's one kid's room, one of the topics were about people he really cared about.
As the conversation went on with mentioning all of the members and his family as well, until jeongin remembered of someone.
“Isn't there yn too? He's always talking about her.”
“Oh yeah you're right, han never shut ups about her.” - Hyunjin continued, all of them now laughing at some inside joke.
When it was jisung's turn to talk, he said almost the same thing, until he looked down for a moment smiling, suddenly feeling shy.
“There's also yn. We talk a lot and she's probably the closest person I have outside the group and my family. She's very special.”
✰ fourth clip
Gidle was in an interview, answering fans questions about their songs, life, future comebacks and the usual.
Some of the questions were directed to specific members. And one of them being "Does yn have someone she really loves apart from her group?"
Thinking for a moment, yn smiled without even noticing, excited to answer the question.
“Yeah! I really love han from stray kids. His very friendly and kind, I enjoy his company a lot.”
The other members looked at her with widen eyes, a surprised smiled on all of their faces, making yn confused. Until she understood what it might have sounded like.
“I-I mean that in a friend way! I love him as my friend!”
And that was all it took for them to start laughing at her, soyeon even holding on her shoulder lightly.
✰ fifth clip
Felix was recording a vlog, filming the backstage before one of their shows. Everything was chaotic as usual, as he talked about the show.
Suddenly, han came out of a room, not noticing the camera. Felix went silent as he pointed the camera to the man, now hearing what he was talking about.
“Have yn called to any of you? My phone is almost dead so turned it off. She said she would call me before the show begun.”
He continued to talk about the idol, until noticing the camera, making him freeze for a moment before slowly waving at it, an awkward and shy smile on his face.
Jisung was already walking away, regretting his life decisions, and wanting to disappear even more as Minho shouted to him.
“No, she haven't called yet!”
✰ sixth clip
Miyeon was filming a vlog of how their day was going. Yuqi and shuhua were talking on the couch, while soyeon and yn were no where to be seen.
Searching for them, miyeon caught the sight of yn sitting on the corner of the room, hugging a little quokka plushie, a photocard and cellphone in hands.
Giggling to herself, she approached the girl, who quickly noticed the camera and was desperately trying to hide the objects.
“Hi miyeon unnie! Do you need anything?”
“I'm just filming our daily life. What are you doing?”
Yn stared at her with a dumbfounded smile, pressing a few times on the screen before showing it to her unnie.
“I'm listening to our songs.”
Miyeon knew she wasn't, but not wanting to make the poor maknae die on camera, she just nods, walking away to continue the filming.
✰ seventh clip
The first time gidle had managed to record something with stray kids, it was a competition between the members.
They formed seven teams with two people, han and yn being paired up together.
After some games and a lot of chaos, the next game they had to play was one in which, two teams will compete, trying to pull the tail from one of the members.
The one who manages to pull the tail out of their clothes first wins. And the final teams to play were han + yn and shuhua + jeongin.
It was the final round, and yn was the one with the tail, while han was mostly trying to protect her and avoid the other two to get too close.
After around thirty seconds in running around, yn managed to pull the tail from jeongin, making both of them cheer in excitement.
Without thinking twice, jisung and yn ran to each other for a hug, staying there for a long moment before pulling away, a slightly timid expression on both of their faces.
✰ eighth clip
At the music bank program, yn had the opportunity to be one of the mcs for a short period of time.
During this time, stray kids went to the program. Yn was doing an amazing job at being the mc, to which jisung complimented.
Feeling shy from his compliment, yn thanked him, clapping her hands together to avoid looking too timid as she smiled.
“Thank you jisung oppa!”
He mirrored her smile, as the other members laughed a bit.
After a few seconds of talking, seungmin bumped into han's shoulder, not saying anything, but a smirk forming on his face.
Han only looked away, embarrassed by the tease, without saying anything as well to not get the attention of anyone else.

I Love You More
Florence Pugh X Fem!Reader
(picture not mine)
Summary: You are dating Florence Pugh, and Florence knows that you are one of the biggest fan of Natasha Romanoff. Florence invited you to the celebration dinner for Black Widow 2 because they just finished filming. As you don't know, Scarlett was also there because she reprised her role as Natasha Romanoff.
A/N: Hope everyone is okay, I miss Natasha. I also don't know how to do the "See more" option, so uhm, can someone please teach me how to do it or is it automatic? Idk sorry.
Warning: None. Please notify me if there are.
Masterlist
__________________________________________________________
"Hey babe, are you sure it's fine for me to come to the celebration? Isn't that supposed to be a secret?" You teased Florence about the dinner because she doesn't even tell you the plot of the movie, she just tells you that she is glad to be part of the movie again and you'll love it.
"Stop with the teasing darling, and yes, you are allowed to join because one of the higher ups told me so." Florence answered you as she nuzzled to your neck and breathed in you smell and leaves pecks to your neck.
Before things get heated you pull away and heard the whine that comes out of Florence's mouth. "Okay babe, let's save it for later we'll be late. Come one let's move our ass up." Y/N said as she breaks from Florence's hold on her waist and gives Florence one last peck on her lips.
As Y/N gets ready for the last time, collecting herself and doing breathing exercise before they enter the dining hall that was rented by the team, Florence holds Y/N waist and whisper in her ears "Hey, you are doing a nice job, let's enter and have a nice night yeah?".
While they enter the dining hall, Florence started to talk to everyone and she doesn't forget to introduce her girlfriend to everyone. Florence holds Y/N's hands tight and doesn't forget to squeeze it every time Florence feels that Y/N breathing changes.
As they hear the host asked to go to their assigned seat, Y/N saw Florence's smile become brighter, as she follows her girlfriend's line of sight, there she is, Scarlett Johansson.
Y/N mentally panics, the gay one, the gay panic. Hundreds and hundred of thoughts are filling her mind right now. Like, Why is she here? Is she a producer? Of course she is right? WILL SHE BE BACK AS NATASHA? No, that's impossible, but I heard rumors, uhm NO, STILL IMPOSSIBLE. But WHY IS SHE HERE? Oh NO, what will I say? Can I even speak? Oh no.
Florence saw how her girlfriend panic and pulled her girlfriend out of her thoughts by squeezing her hand. "Surprise darling" Florence whispered to Y/N's ear with a giggle.
Scarlett was walking to the couple and Y/N can't do anything but focus on her breathing and nudge Florence with her elbow. "You could've told me earlier that Scarlett will be here" Y/N said to her girlfriend while she's mentally readying herself to talk to Scarlett.
"Hey ladies, how's the night going? I see Florence now brought her lovely girlfriend" Scarlett stated as she greet the both of you with the brightest smile.
"Hey Scarlett, this is Y/N my girlfriend and the love of my life. Y/N this is Scarlett, my friend and also my co-star." Florence introduced you to each other. Y/N is still in a haze and that's when Scarlett initiated a hug with Y/N.
Y/N still in the clouds have muttered words "Hi Scarlett, it's really nice meeting you, Florence told me a lot about you." Y/N tells Scarlett with a smile. Y/N was always glancing at Scarlett and stared at her in awe, mentally processing that she is near Scarlett and Scarlett knows her.
As the dinner went by, everyone was happy with the outcome of the filming and the editing and was excited for the release of the trailers. The night went by and everyone is saying their farewells to each other.
Inside the car Florence stares at Y/N with a bright smile on her face. A tinge of jealousy sparks on Florence's heart, but she knows that it's dumb to feel jealousy towards her co-star knowing that she is the girlfriend and you just really adored Scarlett and her character Natasha.
This change in Florence's aura doesn't go unnoticed by her girlfriend, so Y/N asked her girlfriend "Darling, all good?" and Florence only answered with a hum.
Y/N pushed through since she doesn't want Florence to feel neglected, "Honey, please tell me, I know something is bugging you?" Y/N added a pouty face.
"Well.." Florence started and continued with a sigh, "I feel jealous, I know it's dumb and stupid, but I feel like you nearly tell Scarlett that I was only a good friend. You also kept on staring at her. But I'm glad that you get to know her, I just feel, I don't know..." Florence looked at you with her pout, making her look like a baby and it makes you want to kiss it away, and that you did.
"I'm sorry if that's how my actions made you feel my love, I didn't mean to make you feel like I'm gonna tell Scarlett like you are a good friend. My inner child is just happy to finally meet her hero, and now I'm really glad that you let us meet. But I'm mostly happy that I am with you, here by your side, going home to our house, getting to wind down with you. My heart explodes with the thought that the filming ended and I get to be with the life of my life for the rest of my days, and no one can top that." Y/N said while looking at Florence directly that made her tear up.
"Are you proposing to me now, huh?" Florence said with a giggle that made the both of them laugh. "Well this is not how I want to propose, but I am saying that marrying you Florence will be the best thing that's gonna happen to me." Y/N said as she kissed Florence tenderly.
They break apart from the kiss with a smile on their faces. "I love you" Florence whispered, "I love you more. More than every thing and everyone. I love you Florence" Y/N answered.

SPOILERS: The Wild Robot
So usually I'd post this sort of thing on Twitter, but considering how well that ship is staying afloat with the new changes coming in, including the changes made to the block feature, I'm trying to gradually distance myself from that app, so I'm posting this here
I went into this movie completely blind, I somehow managed to dodge spoilers for about a month after the movies release in the US, and if you're reading this and have also managed to stay spoiler free and haven't seen the movie: go and watch it spoiler free.
Don't look up anything, please don't read this post, go and watch it with a fresh set of eyes with no knowledge
The last movie I cried at was Inside Out 2, and I was told that this movie was a tear jerker, most people I'd seen posting fanart had said they'd also cried during this movie
I haven't cried this hard from a movie since 2014, when HTTYD 2 came out in cinemas.
I was not expecting The Wild Robot to be such an emotionally moving story, a story which at a basic glance is a pretty easy one to understand: robot overcomes it's programming and understands emotion, it's a trope we all more or less know or have seen used in other media (doesn't necessarily have to be with a robot, just with any character that doesn't quite understand emotions). Three minutes into this movie and I was in awe at it's visuals, it's colours, it's lighting, everything
Roz is instantly such a likeable character, and her line of "Did anybody order me?..." is delivered so well and hits surprisingly deep. The scene where she finds Bright Bill as an egg after she accidentally destroyed his nest genuinely had me shocked, and the part where she holds up the wing of Bright Bills parent who died from the crash had my mouth falling open - I knew there would be parts in this movie that would be deep based on how everyone said this movie was a tear jerker, but I didn't expect the theme of death to be introduced so quickly
Fink was probably the most surprising character out of all from this movie. I didn't really think too much of Fink going into this movie and I assumed out of him, Roz and Bright Bill, that he was going to be my least favourite of the trio. But he has some of the most deepest, realest bits of dialogue out of the whole film
When Roz asks him how he knows so much about love, and he replies with "when you go so long without something, you spend a lot of time thinking about it" (something like this, this isn't word for word) is such a devastatingly relatable line. And then towards the end of the movie, when Roz is saying goodbye, and Fink admits that she's his friend, following it up with "what if I need to talk to you?" is the possibly the most realest thing said in this entire movie
And the song played over the end credits - which by the way, don't look up any of the songs either. I remember the end credits song the most and is by far the best one to me, but the soundtrack to this movie is also incredible - proceeded to have me choking up with tears a third time
The Wild Robot is a masterpiece. Emotionally moving, heart warming, bittersweet, and a visual gem
#SPOILERS#The Wild Robot#I stress again if you haven't seen this movie yet do not look at spoilers#Go and watch it spoiler free#Palette talks

things i didn't like about the until dawn remake prologue (in no particular order)
the note change
the original note to hannah is overtly sexual - "you look so damn hot in that shirt, but i bet you're even hotter out of it." the new one is a substantial tone change - "it's been fun hanging out with you... no one gets me like you do. come find me later." the vibe is shifting from "i want to hook up with you" to "i might want to confess my feelings to you," and hannah basically says as much in her new diary entry: "is it too much to hope that he'll confess his feelings about me?" but the prologue does NOT change hannah taking her shirt off asap, which now feels ridiculous. there's no reason for her to do that when the note is so low-key. we're feeding the "hannah reacts too strongly" people and i'm not into it.
the prank setup montage
my initial guess with the note change was that they wanted to make the prank seem more like a bad, insensitive joke that escalates too quickly, rather than a group of people intending to film someone taking their clothes off (which is absolutely the vibe of the original). but if that was the intent, it's completely undercut by this prolonged prank setup. it literally has the energy of people prepping for a cool heist or something. pop song bopping in the background, dramatic shots as everyone gets into position. they're all relishing in it, particularly emily, whose mocap actor gives her some evil fucking gestures and expressions. all of this totally contrasts the new note and makes everyone look seriously diabolical.
sam's passivity
while i definitely joked about how sam couldn't seem to find hannah in the original, man, at least she tried! she voiced her concern and then immediately acted on it - a very sam move, imo. in the remake, the extra padding sees her sitting in silence for too long. and even after everyone leaves her on her own, she STILL just sits there and gives this irritated eye-roll - like she's annoyed with them, but not particularly concerned for hannah. and then her searching for hannah is cut. like. homegirl does not care, apparently! imo these changes are so out of character for sam, and i can't figure why they did this. is it to ""answer"" the question of why josh targets sam - by making her more culpable now? idk, but none of it works for me.
beth's dialogue makes less sense
in the original, she glimpsed flamethrower guy, made her "did you see that?" comment, then said "josh?", THEN we see that josh is passed out.
now the order of dialogue is nonsensical. she doesn't even see flamethrower guy, first of all - we the audience get a glimpse of him while she's taking out the trash, and there's a fake-out where you think she saw him, too. but what she actually sees is a deer. so she notices nothing amiss, goes inside, sees josh passed out, and moves him to the couch. then, later, she can go to the window, see NOTHING but snow falling off a branch...and say her usual, "did you see that? i thought dad said it'd just be us this weekend." HUH? GIRL? IT WAS NOTHING? and then she still goes "josh??" as though she didn't just haul his ass to the couch without him waking up. like, he is CONKED out and you know this. why are you saying his name like you're surprised he isn't answering you?
i don't mean to nitpick, but to demonstrate that they should've been more careful about how they changed the prologue, given they couldn't change the dialogue. and speaking of that...
the pacing
i understand that they couldn't add new dialogue because of logistical or budgetary reasons or both, but extending the prologue without being able to add dialogue leads to long stretches where the characters are noticeably not talking. it's awkward to watch, despite the music trying to cover for it, and it makes the pacing really uneven.
-
in general, i appreciate the desire to add a little extra for the existing fanbase, but if ballistic moon had their hands tied and couldn't do it properly, i kind of wish they hadn't done it at all, especially because i think they're doing more harm than good here. i love hannah and beth and it's nice to just see them for a bit longer, but it comes at a cost, and at the end of the day i much prefer the original prologue.

3.38 Common Goals
Things have been busy over the past couple of weeks. The channel is planning some special videos and the cast has been filming at different locations. That means I haven’t gotten a chance to talk to Lacey yet, which I’ll admit is a bit of a relief.
I’ve been pretty distracted anyway. My dads already have a buyer interested in the house so that doesn’t give me much time to find a new place. Lucy suggested I get in contact with Paul since he’ll need a roommate when he moves to San Sequoia, so I’m meeting with him to look at a townhouse he’s had his eye on.
When I arrive at the address Paul gave me, it’s not quite what I was expecting. It doesn’t look like any rental property that I’ve ever seen. There’s a little market area on the other side of the parking lot where booths of fresh flowers and produce are set up. Before I have a chance to check it out more, Paul's Jeep pulls into the parking lot and he hops out.
"You ready?" he asks. I tell him I am and we walk to a gate with an intercom. ”I just have to let the property manager know we’re here.” After a couple of minutes a woman who looks to be in her 50s arrives to greet us. She looks like she’s been working outside; her jeans dusted with dirt and her cheeks are pink from the sun.
"Hello Paul, it's nice to speak to you in person," she says. She looks at me. "This must be the roommate."
"Hi, I'm Johnny," I say, reaching out to shake her hand.
"Johnny," she repeats. "Johnny and Paul. I'm Gail. My wife and I own the townhouse you’ll be viewing. Let’s go take a look."
We walk down the path. There are two buildings on either side and Gail takes us to the one on the right. “My son just moved about a week ago. He’s going to do some conservation work in Sulani,” she explains as she unlocks the door to the unit.
When we step inside, I'm surprised by the size of the place. Going by the rent price, I was expecting something much smaller. "Are you sure you got the price right?" I ask Paul. Maybe he transposed some numbers somewhere. It seems unlikely, but even future doctors make mistakes.
"I thought I did when I first saw it, but it really is that cheap," he insists. I raise an eyebrow, sensing that there's more to the story. "There is just one little catch," he admits.
Gail catches wind of our conversation and smiles. "It really does sound too good to be true, doesn't it? The community here is a little...atypical, but I promise it's worth it."
"What do you mean?" I ask incredulously.
"Well, Ellie and I started this community once our children got older. Initially we just wanted a way to keep us all together, but we saw an opportunity to create affordable housing here in San Sequoia and foster our community at the same time. At Hopewell Commons, helping out your neighbors isn't simply a courtesy. Everyone contributes, whether it's through tending the garden, making repairs, providing childcare, offering goods and services...everyone finds their place."
"So we have to earn our keep?"
Gail laughs. "I wouldn't put it quite like that. As renters, you’re not required to put in the hours that our homeowners do, but we encourage you to get involved. You'll not only be helping out others but you'll have a built-in support system when you're the one in need."
I’m feeling pretty skeptical, but I want to see if this place is worth the effort. Gail shows us one of the bedrooms upstairs.
“That’s a nice view of the garden,” Paul comments. I peek out the window. The garden is pretty quaint with a small greenhouse and a few rows of plants. There’s an older woman and a young girl talking near the chicken pen.
“That’s Ellie and our granddaughter, Ramona,” Gail tells us.
“How many people live in the community?” I ask her.
“Well, there’s my daughter Cleo and her family, and we’ve got about 10 other residents at the moment. But we’re growing! We’re building more houses on some land we just acquired.”
Once she's out of earshot, I turn to Paul. "This isn’t a cult, isn't it?"
"It's not a cult. It's more like a…family."
"That's what someone who's in a cult would say," I point out.
“It’s NOT a cult!”
Next, Gail leads us out into the community garden. "This is a group effort," she explains. "We have several residents who rotate duties in the garden, and once the crops are ready everyone helps themselves to their share."
I can't say that I've ever been into gardening, but Paul seems excited by the idea. I guess I should get used to it, too. While he and Gail share gardening tips in the greenhouse, I wander around the garden. It does seem like a nice idea, everyone chipping in so that their neighbors can enjoy the bounty. Plus, free food.
Gail’s granddaughter is playing nearby and when she sees me, she skips over.
"Hi, I'm Ramona! What's your name?" "I'm Johnny." "Oh, okay. Do you have any pets?" "Yeah, I have a cat named Taco."
"Taco??? That's a funny name!” She giggles. “Can I see it?" "Well, she's not here right now." "Why?" "Because I don't live here." "Why?" I'm not completely sure how to answer that one. "Because I just don't." "Oh. Are you going to live here soon?" "Maybe." "Can I see Taco when you do?" "Well, you should probably ask your parents about that." "Why?"
Gail comes around the corner. "Because it's not a good idea to go to someone's house alone if you don't know them." Ramona seems satisfied by her answer.
Gail turns to me. "You'll have to excuse Ramona. She thinks everyone is her friend. You’re a nice young man, but it's important that she learns the difference between a friend and a stranger."
"No problem," I tell her. Ramona runs off to examine a tomato plant. It seems like she has the type of childhood that I wish I had. I learned way too young that not everyone can be trusted.
Paul walks over to me. "So, what do you think?" he asks. "I understand if you're not feeling it. I know it's a little strange."
So far everyone looks happy, like, genuinely happy and not like people in a cult who are being brainwashed. I sigh. "Okay, as long as the rental agreement doesn't make us promise our souls to The Great Leader I guess I'm open to it."
"Are you sure? Because we can keep looking if you're not."
"I'm sure. I trust your judgment."
We tell Gail what we've decided and she takes us to fill out our applications. She says we should hear something in a couple of days.
When we head back to our cars I spot Ramona again.
"Bye Johnny!" she tells me cheerfully. "Tell Taco I said 'hi!'"
"Sure thing, Ramona. See you later!"

I will never forget the day when my sister came over to my home with tears in her just to tell me she got Eras tickets. I was so happy for her. She's been such a huge fan from the very beginning, and I don't know if I've ever seen her happier.
In the past year, I saw her excitement and her happiness growing and growing. I saw her collecting ideas for her outfit; I saw her getting beads. I saw her watching TikTok lives from different cities, saying she can't wait to experience it live. I saw her seeing the concert film a thousand times and making sure she knew every lyric to every single song. I saw her making a list about her favorite songs that weren't on the setlist and trying to manifest her favorites. I saw her making her outfit. I saw her making a bracelet. I saw how happy she was just from the thought of her going. She called me several times per day this week, since we were supposed to drive her there. She wanted to make sure everything was going to be perfect that day. I remember her saying she just prays for everything to turn out better than expected.
And I will never forget her face today. She came over with tears in her eyes, but it wasn't because of happiness. But because something was taken away from her and from the other 150,000 people. She is sad, disappointed, grateful, happy, angry, and everything a human being can feel.
We are also happy and grateful to the authorities who found out what some true evil people were planning. This whole thing could've turned into a huge disaster. Thousands of people could've lost their lives, and for what? I'm disgusted.
I know the right decision was made. She knows it too. I'm sure we all do. But I understand her. I understand everyone. She's been waiting and hoping for this for almost a year at this point. And she probably will never see her live on the Eras Tour.
This whole experience was taken away from thousands of people. They all deserved to be there. They all deserved to have the time of their lives. To sing along. To exchange friendship braclets. To be excited about whether they're going to get their favorite song as a surprise song. This isn't fair.
We all deserve to feel safe at concerts, on the street, and in our homes. Today an amazing experience was taken away from people, and everything that happened didn't just take away that; it took away the magic and safety of the eras tour.
I feel so sorry for everybody who had a ticket and couldn't attend, or for those who just wanted to party in the parking lot. I'm so sorry, you can't live through the magic of the eras tour. I know safety comes first, and we are so lucky they found out about this before anything happened. But I understand your disappointment. I think this broke something inside all of us. I'm truly sorry, but I'm really happy you are safe, and please be really careful out there.
There is a petition out there about moving the Vienna dates to Budapest. Please, even if you are not a Taylor fan, consider signing it. It would mean a lot to a lot of people. Thanks!

An Illicit Affair
Part 46: Backflash
Pairing: Cillian Murphy (47) x Reader (24)
Warning: Age-Gap, Taboo Relationship, Infidelity
Please comment and engage it means a lot to me and keeps me motivated 😇
Backflash to when you first met Cillian...
It was quite a sunny weekend for the month of May when Max first introduced you to his parents in Dublin which, at the time, was a nerve-wracking experience for you.
By that point in time, you were already unsure whether you and Max would make it through the next year, but you went along nonetheless, almost selfishly, wanting to keep your options open.
When you arrived at their somewhat luxurious house in Dublin, it was Cillian who opened the door for you, first greeting his son Max before introducing himself to you, as if you didn't already know who he was.
"Hi, I'm Cillian. Come on in," he greeted you warmly, taking your hand in his and giving it a gentle shake and, at first, you were taken aback slightly when you saw him.
You smiled nervously as you couldn't stop staring at him. At that time, Cillian still looked quite different. His hair was greying nicely and was a tat longer than now. He was rather skinny too, having just finished filming Oppenheimer but you thought that he was incredibly attractive, nonetheless, even more so than on TV.
You couldn't help but notice the resemblance between Cillian and Max as they stood next to each other, especially when it came to their piercing blue eyes and freckles. It was just that Cillian looked more seasoned, with a few wrinkles around his eyes and mouth, but it only added to his charm. He had a regal aura about him, which was only amplified by his handsome features and confidence. It was hard not to be drawn to him, and you felt a twinge of guilt for thinking that.
"Nice to meet you, Sir," you replied eventually after a long pause, letting go of his hand quickly to hide your sudden nervousness.
"Sir?" he laughed off your formal introduction and gave you an impish smile. "Please, just call me Cillian."
"Alright, Cillian," you blushed slightly, feeling stupid for your response.
"That's more like it," he winked before turning to address Max. "And you, son, how's uni going? How did you go with the exams?" Cillian asked Max with a smile, but his tone was full of paternal concern as he ushered you both inside.
Max shrugged nonchalantly and replied, "It kinda sucks," letting out a small sigh as he rubbed the back of his neck. "I am thinking about quitting, dad," he voiced hesitantly.
Cillian's face was stern for a moment, his eyes scanning Max closely as he processed the weight of these words before nodding slowly. "Well, it's a decision only you can make," he responded thoughtfully, which was a response that surprised you.
"Year two exams are the worst," you chimmed in. "Max might find the next semester a bit easier and more interesting," you explained to Cillian before giving Max a reassuring smile and hoping that it might cheer him up a little.
Cillian looked at you with a thankful glance before nodding slowly in agreement. "There you go," he responded after a while, a bit thoughtful, but then he changed the subject and turned his attention to you instead.
"So, Y/N, Max mentioned that you are at med school together?" he asked curiously and you quickly nodded.
"Yes, I am at the end of my third year," you explained to Cillian just before you heard another voice from the hallway.
"Y/N is a tat older than Max, which isn't necessarily a bad thing," a rather attractive woman in her forties said as she approached you, taking off her gardening gloves, before hugging Max tightly.
"I am Danielle," she then said to you with a warm smile. "Max's mum," she said as she shook your hand firmly.
"Nice to meet you, Danielle," you replied quickly, still in shock that Cillian's wife had just introduced herself to you. "I am Y/N," you added quickly and politely, which earned you a smile from Danielle.
"Yes, I know who you are. Max told me a lot about you," Danielle replied while rubbing Max's back and giving him a kiss on the cheek, seemingly happy to see him.
"Oh good, I am glad," you lied quickly, and it was at this point that you picked up some tension between Cillian and his wife. It was obvious to you that they had been fighting and , although you did not want to pry, you could not help but feel a little curious.
As the afternoon progressed, Cillian and Danielle seemed to avoid each other as much as possible, opting to spend time with Max and you separately instead.
Eventually though you overheard a conversation between them both, as the tension had clearly become too much for both of them.
Max, too, noticed his parents interaction with one another and sighed. "They do this all the fucking time," he sighed as he had noticed your ears dropping in on their discussions.
"Dad has been cheating on her and she's hurt I suppose," he explained to you, shaking his head with a frustrated look on his face.
"Really?" you asked, earning yourself a puzzled look from Max.
"Of course. I mean, wouldn't you be furious if I was cheating on you?" Max asked, rolling his eyes at you.
"Uhm, no. I mean, yes. Is he really cheating on her though?" you wondered out loud, wondering how much there was to these allegations before abandoning the topic abruptly. "You know what, it's none of my business and you really should stay out of it too, Max. This is between them if infidelity is what it is about," you quickly backtracked, not wanting to get involved in the personal matters of Cillian and Danielle.
But despite what you had said, you couldn't help but feel a twinge of disappointment and sadness towards the situation. It seemed like the tension between them had been ongoing for quite some time, and it was unfortunate to see them both in such a painful position.
You pushed the thought out of your mind as the afternoon went on, participating in small talk with Max and Cillian while Danielle opted to stay in the garden, enjoying the fresh air and sunlight.
"Do you want to watch a movie?" Cillian eventually asked, cutting through the awkward tension that had built up in the room.
"Sure. But Y/N here has weird taste when it comes to cinematography," Max chuckled, breaking the tension with a joke.
"Oh really?" Cillian chuckled before turning to you. "What kind of movies do you like?" he then asked , curiosity piqued.
"Well, I like to watch a wide variety of films. But, I really like some of the classics," you explained somewhat nervously, seeing how Cillian was a famous actor and you had not seen the majority of his films.
"Y/N likes black and white movies and, I don't know, weird Indies and shit like that,"
Max chirped in, trying to be funny as he looked at Cillian hoping that his remark would lighten the mood but it had the opposite effect.
Cillian raised an eyebrow at Max's rude comment and shot him a piercing glare of his own, but before either of them could say anything else, you chimed in.
"Max and I can never agree on what to watch, so maybe no movie then," you chuckled nervously, feeling a bit awkward with the tension that had just arisen.
But Cillian quickly recovered and said, "Okay, well, how about you take Y/N for a walk and show her around? You could take Scout with you? Spend some quality time together," Cillian finished, his gaze softening as he glanced at the black Lab sitting loyally beside him.
"That sounds great," you responded with a genuine smile, grateful for the reprieve from the tension that had come to a head earlier but Max sighed.
"No, that sounds boring," he complained, his shoulders sagging slightly as he looked between Scout and you.
"Right, uhm, I don't know then Max," Cillian said while you looked a little disappointed. "But what I do know is that Scout needs to go for a walk, so I will take him to the beach," Cillian then quickly decided, standing up from the couch with the black Lab by his side.
"Why don't we go too, Max?" you suggested, already feeling a sudden pang in your chest from the excitement of spending time with his father. "It will be fun," you tried to encourage him, but Max simply shook his head.
"No. I don't really want to," Max said almost bluntly, crossing his arms over his chest. "But you go. I am sure dad will show you around while I stay here," he then said , opting to stay in the safety of the living room instead.
Cillian frowned but did not protest. "Alright, I mean, if you want to come, you can," he then said, looking at you as he clipped on Scout's leash which was lying around on the corner table in the living room.
"Yeah, uhm, okay. I love the beach and haven't been for ages. So, I won't say no," you replied with a smile, feeling a little guilty for being so excited to go to the beach with Cillian without Max.
"Alright then, let's get going," Cillian said, breaking the awkward tension that had settled between you both as he walked towards the door and led the way outside.
You took a deep breath and followed him, trying to shake off the guilt you felt earlier. After all, Max did seem to be occupied with his own thoughts and you thought that spending some time away from the tension might do some good for both you. As you both stepped outside, the sun felt warm on your skin yet the breeze was still crisp and cool, giving you a chill every now and then. The sound of waves crashing against the shore was soothing and soon, you found yourself feeling more relaxed as you walked closer towards the beach.
Scout trotted playfully beside Cillian, wagging his tail happily while you both moved swiftly on the pathway leading to the beach.
You unconsciously adjusted the pace of your steps to match Cillian's before you could even realize it, the two of you moving in a harmony that was somehow familiar to you while the silence between the two of you was not.
Being on your own with Max's father who you had just met made you feel somewhat strange as you tried to keep the absurdity of the situation out of your mind but, luckily for you, after an awkward ten minutes of silence, Cillian decided to speak up.
"So, other than studying, what do you do?" Cillian asked as you both walked together along the sandy beach.
"I like to read or listen to music mainly. But I also love travelling which, unfortunately, is too time consuming for me to do right now, with uni and all," you replied, looking out at the crystal clear water ahead of you.
Cillian nodded, looking introspective for a moment. "I can understand that. I haven't been on a holiday for years, although I do get to travel a lot for work I suppose. But it's not really the same, you know," he said and you looked over at him, surprised by his honesty.
"Yes, I can imagine. Must be hard being away from home so much," you commented, trying to show empathy towards his situation.
"It can be," he replied simply, his tone contemplative. You both walked in silence for a few moments before Cillian asked, "Do you think Max will drop out of uni?"
The question caught you off guard as you looked at Cillian, eyes wide with surprise. You hesitated for a moment before answering, "I don't know. He seemed certain about it earlier, but he's been known to change his mind before."
"Yes, he is quite a fickle one," Cillian chuckled, shaking his head in amusement. "But then again, so was I when I was his age, so I am not surprised," he then added, giving you a soft smile.
"Well, it all worked out for you though, didn't it?" you asked, trying to keep the conversation light as you both walked along the beach with Scout.
Cillian chuckled and nodded. "I suppose so, although I had my fair share of struggles too. But I am grateful for where I am now," he said thoughtfully, taking in the beauty of the beach and the sunset on the horizon.
You looked over at him and smiled. "You should be. You have done well for yourself," you said, genuinely happy for Cillian's success. "But, with Max, I am really worried that he will make the wrong call. He does not know what he wants in life, and he really needs to figure that out soon," you added, a slight frown crossing your face as you thought about Max and his carefree attitude towards life.
Cillian nodded in understanding, his piercing blue eyes studying you before he replied, "I have told Max that he needs to figure out what he wants to do in life, but sometimes, one has to learn from their own mistakes, unfortunately."
"That is true," you sighed, appreciating Cillian's honesty towards the matter. "But if there is anything I can do to help him with his decision, I would," you added determinedly, looking at Cillian earnestly.
"You are very mature for your age, aren't you?" Cillian remarked with a curious look in his eyes as you continued to discuss Max's future with him.
You nodded, laughing a little at his unexpected compliment. "I guess I am just determined and I do care for Max, so I want to help him figure things out," you replied with a small smile before changing the topic something more lighthearted.
The sun had started to set, coloring the sky with hues of pink and orange as the two of you walked along the beach. Scout ran joyfully in the sand, occasionally stopping to splash in the waves before racing back to Cillian and you.
You talked for a while, not only about Max, but also about music, movies and literature, both finding common interests that you could bond over.
You both joked and laughed as you walked along the beach, the sound of waves crashing against the shore creating a soothing soundtrack to your conversation until, eventually, you both had to turn back.
When you came back to the house, you all prepared yourselves for dinner which went uneventful and was filled with lots of small talk. Cillian and Danielle 's interactions were a bit distant and tense, and it was clear that they were avoiding each other. You couldn't help but feel a little bit uncomfortable, and you wondered if Max had noticed it too.
After dinner, you and Max decided to watch a movie in the living room with Cillian after all and Danielle retired to the bedroom early, claiming that she had gotten too much sun. As you watched the movie, your mind wandered off to the events of the day, and you found yourself thinking about your interaction with Cillian on the beach. You realized that you had enjoyed his company, and it surprised you how much you had in common.
You were both interested in literature, music, and movies, and it was refreshing to find someone who didn't think your taste was weird.
But you couldn't deny that there was a certain spark between you two, and it made you feel guilty. You were there to support Max, not to hook up with his dad. Besides, Cillian was married.
You shook your head, trying to dispel those thoughts from your mind and, in the end, you went to bed before the action movie Max had picked earlier to spite you had come to an end.
Max then joined you half an hour later, waking you up from your slumber with a gentle bounce on the bed.
"I was thinking about tomorrow," he then went on to say, turning on the bedside table lamp while you rubbed your eyes and sighed in disbelief.
"Max, I was asleep," you murmured in response before you stared at the ceiling fan above your head as he told you about his plans for tomorrow, muttering something about a football game and hanging out with his friends. You listened halfheartedly, your head still foggy and your mind still heavy with the events of the day.
Max then climbed beneath the sheets , and nestled himself close to you. You could feel the warmth of his body through his clothes, and as much as you wanted to push him away, you couldn't.
He had always been a cuddler, and you allowed it, knowing that his cuddles usually put him in a better mood.
"Do you want to make out?" he then asked, his voice muffled as he nuzzled his face in the crook of your neck.
You tensed, caught off-guard by his sudden question. "What? No, Max. We are at your parents' house," you said firmly, shifting away from him.
But Max didn't seem to get the hint. He continued to inch closer to you, his hand snaking up your shirt and tracing patterns on your skin. "Just be quiet then and they won't hear us," he whispered, his lips brushing against your earlobe.
"Max, stop it," you said sternly, trying to push him away, causing him to sigh.
"Fine," he huffed before rolling away from you, giving you the cold shoulder.
You sighed and turned off the bedside table lamp again. The room was plunged into darkness, with only the glow of the moonlight peeking through the window illuminating the room. You could feel Max's disappointment but you tried to ignore it.
You closed your eyes, hoping that sleep would come to you quickly, but despite your exhaustion, your mind was racing.
You couldn't stop thinking about Cillian and the way he had made you feel on the beach.
It was a strange feeling, one that you hadn't experienced before, and you weren't sure what to make of it. You weren't attracted to him, at least not in that way, but there was something about him that you couldn't quite put your finger on.
You tossed and turned in bed, trying to shake off the feeling, but it was no use. After almost an hour of trying, you finally gave up on sleep and got out of bed, making your way to the kitchen for a glass of water. It was late, but you could hear the faint sound of music coming from the living room.
You padded down the hallway, drawn to the sound like a moth to a flame. You paused in the doorway and saw Cillian sitting on the sofa with a book in his hand while listening to a Vinyl record. He didn't notice you at first, so you had a chance to look at him in peace.
The record he was playing was a classic one, something you enjoyed too but hadn't listened to in a long time. You felt a strange connection to him in that moment, as if you two were kindred spirits.
Cillian seemed to have sensed your presence as he looked up and smiled at you warmly.
"Can't sleep?" he asked softly, not taking his gaze away from you.
You shook your head as you made your way to the kitchen, pouring yourself a glass of water. You were surprised by how your heart was beating faster. You couldn't help but feel a little self-conscious under Cillian's gaze. It was as if he could see through you, into the innermost depths of your soul.
You took a sip of water, trying to calm your nerves before making your way to the living room.
"Do you mind if I join you?" you asked softly, hoping that it wouldn't disturb Cillian from his reading.
"Of course not. Please," he said, gesturing to the empty space on the sofa next to him, which you gratefully accepted.
You sat down next to Cillian, and as the music played in the background, you couldn't help but feel yourself relax in his presence. It was as if all the stress and tension of the day had melted away in an instant, replaced by a sense of calm and tranquility that you hadn't felt in a long time.
"I love that album ," you said softly, closing your eyes as the lyrics washed over you.
Cillian smiled, nodding. "Me too. It brings back memories," he said, taking a sip of his drink.
"Of what?" you asked curiously.
"Well, it reminds me of a time when I was younger and I used to go on road trips with my family," he said with a nostalgic look on his face.
"We would have the record playing on repeat in the car and belt out the lyrics, even if we had no idea what we were belting out," he chuckled with a fond smile.
"My dad actually listened to that same album too when we went on road trips, although it probably came out well before his generation. It's timeless," you smiled as you leaned back into the couch before you kept talking about music for what felt like an hour.
As the hour passed, the conversation got more personal and intimate.
You shared stories about your upbringing and Cillian did the same, allowing you to learn more about him and the more time you spent with him, the more you realized that you and Cillian had a lot in common.
In between conversations, you also both found yourselves looking at each other for longer than necessary and the tension in the room started to build up.
Suddenly, Cillian's eyes dropped to your lips and you felt his gaze linger there for what felt like an eternity.
You could feel the tension between you growing, and you couldn't deny that you were feeling something too.
You bit your lip, unsure of what to do next and Cillian was as reluctant as you were .
But it was inevitable, you both could feel it.
He reached out and gently brushed your hair away from your face before leaning in closer to you, his eyes never leaving yours, seeking permission, the anticipation building up in the room causing both of your breaths to hitch as he finally closed the distance between you and kissed you.
"I am so fucking sorry," he then said after he suddenly pulled away, his voice full of regret, immediately causing a feeling of devastation to wash over you.
"It's okay," you assured him softly, reaching out to touch his arm. You didn't want him to feel guilty about what had happened between you two. After all, you had felt the chemistry between you too, and it had been mutual. There was no need to apologize.
But Cillian avoided your touch and stood up abruptly, running his fingers through his hair in frustration as he paced around the living room.
"I shouldn't have done that. You are dating my son, and I am fucking married," he muttered, barely audible, but you still heard it.
"It's fine," you said, swallowing the lump in your throat as you tried to compose yourself. "I allowed it, and it doesn't matter. Let's just pretend it never happened, okay?" you suggested, trying to defuse the tension that had built up in the room.
"Okay," he whispered, although it was obvious he didn't want to forget it, but at least, he was holding back the apologies.
You both sat there for a moment, unsure of what to do next, before you eventually broke the silence.
"I should probably go back to bed," you announced, getting up and walking towards the doorway.
"Yeah, that's probably a good idea," Cillian agreed, his voice barely above a whisper, which was the last one on one interaction you had with him until you met him again at the jazz bar, almost a year later.

It annoyed me the way TBGO used Creek because Honestly I feel he does have legit potential for a good redemption story and still could in a future film given its separate cannon to the tv show.
heads up this is a long post lol my apologies 😅😅😅😅
anyway
assuming the movies stick to being their own cannon and don't merge with the Tv shows cannon in which case Creek has already been accepted back into the Village.
I feel him returning in a future main film and having a Redemption Arc could actually work
like imagine if in a future film Branch and Poppy maybe hear about some sorta Threat to the Village like maybe a new tribe of species who are dangerous marauders who they hear are heading in the direction of their village.
and will attack them in say a couple of days but of course Poppy wants to go and just see if she can find a peaceful solution with their leader
and obviously Branch would go with her but thing is they hear this info from a returning Creek.
who in this cannon hasn't been seen since the first movie and maybe its mentioned he survived the mountain creature at the end of the first movie by using his Hair to pull himself out of its mouth or something.
anyway obviously Branch is super sceptical about his story but Peppy does say that he has heard stories of the group Creek has told them about
so they are real and Poppy wants to go because she sees it as worth the Risk of if Creek is lying even tho he swears up and down he isn't.
anyway at the start of the Journey Both B and P are Hella mad and distrustful of him
and Creek while he does seem to want to build Bridges and says he's Remorseful for what he did at the same time he still Defends his actions a tad simply pointing out he didn't want to die just like the rest of them didn't.
but I'd have him and Branch eventually come to more of an understanding after he and Creek finally have a heart to heart later on in the story
it could start with them being out in the woods so Branch starts to build them all a shelter is about to give Creek instructions on what to do
only for Creek to already be doing it clearly showing he knows a fair bit of survival skills himself which Branch is surprised by
and questions him on it and Creek tells him that after Chef was killed he was stranded in the woods with no idea where he was
or how to get back home so he spent quite a lot of months on his own being forced to learn how to survive off of the land
and he admits to Branch he doesn't understand how he was able to live like that for so long?
spending so much time alone in the woods he started to feel more and more guilty over his life choices not just betraying them
but also just being a vain jerk to Branch and other less popular Trolls in the Village and of course he missed Poppy and his other friends like crazy.
he promised himself if he did by some miracle find his way back home he'd try to be better and he just thought this whole trip to help ward of an attack could maybe be a good start.
but after Branch feels a second of relatability to how isolated Creek felt Branch still Dismisses all of this somewhat and points out he sold them all out and Creek admits he's sorry but also Rather Honestly he simply admits he was fricking terrified.
he was literally inside a giant creatures mouth and was about to be eaten by something that didn't see him as a thinking feeling person
and just a bit of meat to give them pleasure he panicked like he'd never panicked before.
and when he got out of Gristle's mouth he desperately said he'd do anything to avoid going back in their and dying in such a gruesome and senseless way.
and after that he was stuffed in tiny locket for hours in the dark and besides Gristle briefly showing him off to Bridget for a split second
the next time he saw light was when Chef revealed him to all of them in the cage.
at which point he was in a hole and he just kept digging he was still terrified to die and tried to weakly justify it to himself that maybe it was better for Poppy and the others to die Rather than live with it.
tho he acknowledges himself it was just a load of crap he told himself to try and feel better
but anyway simply put he was about to be met with his worst nightmare and he caved in to his fear he was human he wasn't some pure evil monster like Poppy and Branch thought of him as
( or the Fandom for that matter lol )
Branch after hearing this kinda understands he spent most of his life terrified day to day and he himself nearly was forced Fed to Gristle by Chef ironically something he and Creek have in common
so he understands the fear better than anyone else in the Village could really as none of them came as close to death as the two of them did.
and after this he hasn't necessarily forgiven him per say but Branch is willing to give him a chance to show he's changed
and encourages Poppy to do the same tho she still holds onto her anger which could even lead to an argument
where Branch calls her out on her Hypocrisy as she normally believes in giving second chances to people except not when it comes to someone who actually wronged her personally
but she was more than encouraging for everyone else to forgive people who wronged them like Barb at the end of World Tour
and Brozone in TBT but when its someone who wronged her suddenly she's a lot more Hesitant and against it.
which I feel could actually be a Relatable interesting character flaw for Poppy to have and for her to be called out on.
it always seemed odd to me how in the Tv shows Poppy was more willing to forgive Creek while Branch wasn't when Poppy was close with him and thus felt more personally betrayed.
anyway that's basically the most important plot points I feel Creek has legit potential for Redemption if written properly given the circumstances around the first movie he was just as much a victim himself.
but TBGO annoyingly didn't really do much with his return other than a small Rivalry with Branch but I feel the main movies could do this right if they put in some effort
and he could easily be sympathetic and have a Redemption where he wants to Build Bridges with people in the Village without completely changing his character 100 percent
from the self centered kinda smug person he was as he was Basically just John Dory lets be Honest only diff is Creek didn't get a second chance due to not being Related to one of the main cast.
and frankly he's a lot more deserving of redemption than other past villains like Barb and Crimp given they did evil stuff for much worse reasons
( Barb simply was entitled and thought she should get to Decide which Genre would unite all other Tribes and Crimp was a coward who didn't wanna lose a pay check )
and did almost nothing to really Redeem themselves so why not my guy Creek? lol.
and he and Branch legit have some experiences they could Bond over as well so I'd really like to see that Happen.

ik your probably swamped with requests but could you do a little thing where the reader doesn’t like her birthday or doesn’t really celebrate it but gavi makes it a big deal and gives her tons of gifts and surprises!! take your time bby ❤️💙❤️💙❤️
Birthday Girl
"What do you mean you don't want to do anything after the game? But baby it's your birthday!" Pablo said while packing to go to Camp Nou with you for his first game in the new season against Madrid.
"It's the first El Classico of the season amor, and I just want to wear my man's jersey and watch him win" you walk up to him snaking arms around his neck and pulling him into a tight hug.
You really wanted to just watch Pablo play, but you were also not a big "birthday girl" person mostly because when you were a child your parents were never around much due to their corporate jobs at the family business which was always a priority.
"I won't only win..but I'll score for you princesa" Pablo whispered and you blushed nodding your head and looking up so he can kiss your lips lovingly.
When you arrived at the camp, cameras flashing in your face and numerous fans cheering and calling Pablo's name you smiled letting him greet his fans before you both walked inside.
"This one is for my birthday girl!" Pablo said kissing your lips before leaving to the dressing rooms and you went to find your seats.
"Hey girl! Happy Birthday!" Mikky greeted me first hugging me tightly and I wondered how the hell did she know about my birthday.
"Many more gorgeous years for you beautiful!" Ana was next and I thanked them both asking how they knew about my birthday seeing them chuckle and show me Pablo's recent story.
pablogavi: My Birthday Girl <33
"Awe he is so sweet isn't he!??" Mikky saw me blushing really never having anybody make such a big deal about my birthday before Pablo. It was strange but it felt nice to feel special today.
"Yeah..um..the game is starting!" you said and all of you took your phones out to film the boys coming out on the pitch. For the rest of the game, your phone buzzed with notifications of people sending you beautiful birthday messages.
It was an intense game with many goals on both sides, but just as the second half was coming to an end Madrid made a foul and Barça got their penalty shot.
"Hermano espera!" Pedri called Raphina who turned to see what was going on while carrying the ball always being the one to take the penalty shots.
"Gavi can do it..for his girl's birthday" pedri explained and older man smiled remembering the time he dedicated his shot to his wife's birthday. He came to Gavi giving him the ball seeing his surprised face.
"Que haces!? Gavi doesn't shoot penalties!?" Xavi was freaking out but every player on the pitch believed in Gavi in that moment. They still had one point ahead of Madrid but it's never smart to not use the free penalty when given against such a strong team.
"Dios! He's shooting a penalty!" you said holding your hands together like you were praying feeling anxious but excited at the same time. You believed in Pablo and sent him all your inner strength in this moment just like everyone else on the Barça side.
Pablo put the ball down calmly shooting his shot and of course making it without a sweat. He cheered celebrating with his teammates before taking off his jersey and sliding right where you sat and on his long sleeve muscle top was written "para ti birthday girl <3" and everyone looked at your making you blush and send him a kiss.
"Gracias hermano!" he whispered to Raphina who smiled at you and nodded his head before kissing Pablo's head.
You walked down the hallway to meet with Pablo hearing from every side "happy birthday" smiling into numerous phone cameras of the fans and thanking them kindly.
"Amor!" you heard Pablo's voice running and jumping into his arms as he spun you around.
"We won El Classico!" he said and you nodded kissing him back when he kissed you not caring that picture would be plastered all over the internet in matter of seconds.
"And you made the whole world wish me a happy birthday!" you said giggling while he nodded putting you down and kissing your lips once more before you two left in a more private area.
"Pablo, where are we going??" you said noticing that he was pulling you towards the pitch which was very confusing since you were not allowed to be here at all.
"Just trust me birthday girl.." he said and you knew he had another surprise in mind when he called you that. When you entered the pitch, there were all of his teammates singling "Happy Birthday to you.." joined by fans from the stands.
"You did not.." you said shocked blushing hard at the sudden attention you received from everyone around you holding Pablo's arm that was around your waist.
"Happy Birthday mi amor..you're my special girl and I wanted you to know that" Pablo whispered and you smiled nodding your head really wishing he knew that this was the first time she felt like "someone's special girl" on her birthday.
"And here is the cake..if you missed that penalty I would have hit you with it chico!" Xavi said chuckling with you before kissing the top of your head wishing you the bestest birthday.
"Um..thank you..all..this is so special for me" you were fighting back tears not wanting to cry on your birthday like all the other years until you met Pablo.
"Blow candles and make a wish amor" Pablo said and you smile nodding your head closing your eyes and blowing all the candles. Everyone clapped while you turned around and kissed Pablo's lips.
"Thank you Pablo..for this" you said and he noticed your saddened eyes but decided to talk about it when you were alone now only nodding his head and kissing your lips lovingly before putting some whip-cream on your face.
"Oh no!" you said when all the boys did the same giggling and celebrating for awhile before you were ready to go home.
"My goodness! My face is still sticky!" you said while Pablo drove home and you used wet wipes to clean your face.
"Maybe they took it too far.." Pablo giggled together with you but you shook your head once again having that same sadness in your eyes.
"No..it was perfect" you said and Pablo smiled stealing a glance from you taking your hand and kissing it.
"Look amor! The sunset!" you said and he parked suddenly right at the edge of the beach so you both can look at it together. Although not planned, this was the most perfect moment of the whole day.
"Can I ask you something princesa??" Pablo said while holding you in his arms as you watched through the window at the beautiful golden sky.
"Mhm.." you say
"You looked sad in the moment you thanked me for a surprise..why?" he said and you gulped taking your phone out to check once again but there was still no message form your parents.
aurorapaezg: happy birthday hermanita! i love you<33
mikkykiemeney: birthday girl is precious <33
analewandowska: best wishes to you pretty girl!
pedri: happy birthday amiga!!
alehandrobalde: best friend's birthday today!!
ansufati: amazing girl!! happy birthday!!
Strangers all over the world texted you today..half the stadium sang you happy birthday..and they forgot..again. You told Pablo who sighed kissing the top of your head.
"I'm sorry amor.." Pablo said holding you tighter as a tear finally escaped your eye but it was alright because it was only the two of you now and you felt comfortable with him.
"It's okay..I'm used to it" you said clearly not thinking that but what else can you do about it.
"It's not okay..you don't deserve that.. you deserve to feel like the most special girl today..and every other day..I want you to know that from now on every birthday will be celebrated properly!" Pablo spoke and yo turned in his arms kissing his lips lovingly.
"I'd really like that." you said and he nodded kissing you more before pulling away and giving you the box with the beautiful pink bow on it.
"What's this??" you said blushing and taking it
"A present..for a birthday girl" he said and you opened it gasping when you saw the beautiful necklace that was also a locket. When you opened it was the picture of the two of you and you couldn't help but kiss Pablo strongly in response.
"I love you!" you said and he smiled nodding his head proudly.
"And I love you princesa" he said as you both smiled into the kiss.
You two of you went back home finishing the night cuddled up with your favorite movie and food.
You yawned slowly being lulled to sleep by Pablo's even heart beats and soft sounds of the movie in the background.
"Happy Birthday mi amor.." he whispered right before you fall asleep in his arms. It was the most special birthday of your life.

I'm sorry, but when I see all these photos and videos of Austin interacting with fans and paparazzi on set, I always think of the photos of the last time we saw him with Kaia, which was at Gracie's concert last month, and of how paradoxical the two situations seem when compared. I mean, think about the photos of him wearing the mask while she's stuck to him like a leech. Many shippers came up with various excuses, saying that he was wearing it at that moment because he was afraid of getting sick and therefore delaying the filming of Caught Stealing, or that he was annoyed by the presence of the paparazzi. But then when you look at how Austin acts when he's alone, you realize it's none of that. He wasn't wearing the mask because he was afraid of getting sick, I mean, from the video we have we can see that he wasn't wearing it inside the concert, it's now known that masks are more useful inside than outside, and then even if he had gotten sick I don't think it would have been all this tragedy, I'm sure that the productions take this inconvenience into account given that the actors are human beings too. And then he wasn't wearing it because he was annoyed by the fact of being photographed, if he were a person who gets annoyed by these things, he would make both fans and paparazzi leave the set instead of stopping to have a chat with them, to hug them and take selfies with them (this is also linked to the fact that Austin is not afraid of getting sick, because it could very well happen that someone unconsciously gives him a cold for example). Having said that, I am firmly convinced that he was wearing the mask because at that moment he would not have been able to hide his obvious expression of disgust and repentance for having lent himself to that girl's circus for the umpteenth time. So if there's anyone who annoys Austin, it's not the fans or the paparazzi, but Kaia. I therefore hope that after that episode Austin has thought about it carefully and has definitively put an end to this now painful relationship...and judging by Kaia's latest video, where she talks about a sudden breakup that surprised her, I could be right, who knows 👀. I apologize for my long rambling, but it was a thought that had been in my head for a while now 😅.
Love you all, byeeeee <3<3
Girl, if that isn't the truth.
Isn't it interesting that Austin seems so much happier and more in tune to even strangers than his own gf? 😄
I'm sorry, but that will never not be funny to me.
Shippers can try to make excuses for that all they want, but they just look dumb. Pictures and video footage do not lie.
Even when a camera is not being shoved in their faces, and they don't even realize they're being photographed, Austin and Kaia still look miles apart from each other, and the chasm is so painfully obvious.
Great point about the mask thing. I also have another theory that he wears a mask with her because he wants to lessen the value of the pictures taken with them together. Same reason for him wearing the towel over his head while at the beach with her in Cabo rofl 🤣
He never did that with Vanessa, but then again, maybe that was just because he wasn't as famous back then. Who knows. All I know is that he only does that with Kaia, and maybe he just really wants to keep his relationship life kind of separate and private from his work life. I can understand that.

ARTICLE: "How to stay friends when you're F1 rivals" (Autosport Plus, 2019)
There's always one, isn't there? Just after you've comfortably settled into your seat, clicked the seatbelt across your lap, and are scanning for a decent film on the seat's screen in front of you - someone asks you to move.
It was on the late-night flight out of Bahrain after this year's race that F1 Racing became aware of such a scenario unfolding: passengers being politely asked if they wouldn't mind moving seats so two chums could take up seats together. The architects of this kerfuffle, the two friends who became reunited at 30,000 feet, were none other than Pierre Gasly and Charles Leclerc.
"We grew up together," explains Gasly. "We first met in 2005, when I was about nine and our parents became really close. As families, we spent holidays, staying on boats together in the south of France and five years later we became team-mates in karting. That year I probably spent more time with Charles than I did with my own parents.
"One of my first F1 memories was when I went to visit Charles at his Monaco home during the grand prix weekend. His parents' house was miles away from the track and yet I could hear the cars, 3-litre V10s, in morning practice. We were so far from the circuit - yet it was super impressive."
Perhaps it was no surprise Gasly was so enchanted by the sound of a racing engine, as he comes from a family steeped in motorsport. In fact, he is the third generation of Gasly to become successful on four wheels.
"I don't think a lot of people know this, but my grandmother, Yveline Gasly, was a karting champion. My father was also a racer in karting, rallying and in endurance events - and a French champion too. I also have four older brothers and three of them raced in karting.
"So, from three years of age, my mother used to take me in a buggy that she pushed around and I would make engine noises. From a very young age, I was always part of motorsport."
Gasly won the French karting championship in 2010 driving for Sodikart when he was team-mate to his younger friend Leclerc, who was runner-up that year. It is the pictures of the two of them together (aged 14 and 13) that Gasly has shared with F1 Racing this month.
"We had a really good fight for the championship and it was a good time testing on tracks together and racing," says Gasly. "Although I moved on to single-seaters before Charles, we still have a very close friendship as he's a nice, kind guy."
Fifteen years after they first met the pair find themselves racing together in Formula 1, and following their recent graduation to Red Bull and Ferrari, they could easily find themselves sharing a podium once more.
In the early part this year, it's been Leclerc that has made more of an impression with his assured performances for Ferrari, while Gasly admits he still isn't yet fully comfortable behind the wheel of the Red Bull RB15.
Pre-season was blighted by two large accidents in testing and it's taken him time to get up to speed.
"It's fair to say that I don't feel as comfortable in the Red Bull as I was in the Toro Rosso last year," concedes Gasly. "In a way I found a direction quickly in the Toro Rosso to get the best out of it.
"But I've found it's a bit tricky in the Red Bull. I don't feel I can have the input I want inside the cockpit - it's quite inconsistent. It doesn't do what I expect it to do in one corner and then in another it's different again. The main thing is trying to drive the car as I would like it to be."
The environment at Red Bull is notably pressurised, as former drivers and power unit suppliers will attest, but Gasly hopes he will be afforded the time to adapt. Before the season began, team boss Christian Horner admitted Gasly has been "elevated 12 months before we'd ideally like" but more recently suggested his confidence had been growing.
"He had a tough pre-season, with the two incidents in testing putting him on the back foot, but at each grand prix he's got stronger and stronger," says Horner.
"I think more seat time will be extremely beneficial to him and as we come back to circuits that he's more familiar with, I think we'll see him make further progress."
The continuity for Gasly after his first full season at Toro Rosso has been the Honda power unit - which Red Bull is using for the first time in 2019. In addition, his engine engineer has moved over from Faenza to Milton Keynes with him.
Gasly has a familiarity with the Japanese manufacturer's working practices and culture, learning much when he spent most of 2017 racing in Super Formula in Japan.
Gasly made a surprise F1 debut in Malaysia that year when Daniil Kvyat was dropped by Toro Rosso, and he was surprised again when he was promoted to Red Bull for this season when Daniel Ricciardo made his unexpected decision to quit the team for Renault.
"When [Red Bull consultant] Dr Marko called me I could not believe it," says Gasly about the turn of events last August that led to his drive at RBR.
"I was so sure he [Ricciardo] was going to stay at Red Bull. At first Marko told me they were going to take their time and look at the options for next year - he said to enjoy the summer break and to try and disconnect from everything.
"Of course, it's not possible when you have something like a Red Bull drive in your mind.
I was waiting and there were two clear options, either to stay at Toro Rosso or move to Red Bull. Then Helmut called me back about two weeks later to say they had decided to take me for this year and that they thought I was the best option for the team for 2019."
Gasly's promotion has pitched him as a direct rival to his old friend Leclerc, but don't expect their on-track duel to come between their friendship. Indeed, don't be surprised to see the pair holidaying together again this year.
"We still text a lot, although it's harder now with our agendas to organise things, but every year we try and plan a trip away together in the summer," says Gasly. "It didn't happen last year, but we'll try again this year."
Better make sure they book the plane tickets at the same time then, to avoid any more last-minute seat-swapping...

Goldenheart headcanon about how sexual interest awoke in Ambrosius xd (This is cringe, I warn you)
Ambrosius has just turned 18 and companies are taking the opportunity to propose more "mature and adult" projects and collaborations.
One of them is an advertisement for men's perfumes. Where they wanted to imply how he had become a handsome and strong man. Ambrosius isn't comfortable with this and hates the idea, especially after reading the script where he says he literally has to be in his underwear posing and subtly touching another person. He was someone reserved in that kind of thing and in sexual matters he had never gone beyond a passionate kiss with his boyfriend.
His mother, Lady Goldenloin, likes the idea, plus they would pay him very well and it would be a very interesting controversy that would keep them in the media. Ambrosius goes against it and confronts his mother (the woman ignores him because she sees it as "a tantrum")
Ballister supports and comforts him. But inside he feels a bit jealous and uncomfortable thinking about how his girlfriend would be flirting and touching someone else. He knew it was just acting and he wouldn't be serious, but the feeling was still there. Ambrosius felt the same way, he thinks that he would surely be unfaithful to Bal without wanting to.
This situation stresses Ambrosius too much, to the point that he only talks about it with Ballister all week. One day, fed up with his mother only reminding him of the commercial, he yells at Ballister:
- I DON'T WANT TO HANDLE AND TOUCH DEEPLY ANOTHER PERSON OTHER THAN YOU!
The latter instead of making Bal blush and angry, gives him an idea and he decides to audition for the role. On the other hand, Ambrosius dies of shame for the barbarity that he had just said and apologizes a thousand times. Meanwhile Ballister was thinking about how to get that part.
Luckily he gets it, the company wanted controversy, so why not put the future first commoner knight alongside gold back? This would blow up all the media and social networks. THEY WOULD BE TRENDING. Above all, the paper would do him good since it was a tribute to the commoners who prostituted themselves in the 19th century.
This made Ballister feel uncomfortable and even slightly offended, especially when he remembered that he had to be almost half-naked in front of many cameras. But he didn't give it much importance, he would do anything for his beloved boyfriend. He decides not to tell him anything and surprise him.
The day of the shoot arrives and Ambrosius couldn't be more angry and uncomfortable. He hopes that Bal is in the studio supporting him, but he can't be found anywhere, which makes him even more depressed. It wasn't until he walked into his dressing room that he found Ballister sitting in his chair, cross-legged, flushed, wearing only black boxer shorts and a sweet fragrance smelling all over his body. Seeing all this, Ambrosius's embarrassment multiplied a thousand times, almost fainting from love and lack of blood in his nose when he saw his boyfriend.
Anyway, he took a few hours to film the scenes. Both young men were very shy and did not dare to touch each other so thoroughly. But they couldn't be happier and more in love, they couldn't stop looking at each other and throwing passionate glances of desire.
As expected, the commercial was a success and the perfumes sold like hot cakes. Not to mention the comments and controversies that were on the internet for a long time.
After that, Ambrosius became obsessed with the commercial and watched it in private whenever he could.
