The problem with shopping for a new cane online is you have to go past all these awesome looking ones and keep telling yourself that no, it would look really cool to wander around with an octopus cane, but it wouldn't be really functional, think of how your hand would be feeling after just a couple hours. Or- yes that one has a cool handle that is even the right shape...but look at that neck, you know at that price the first time you need to actually catch your balance with it the handle would snap right off.

Sigh

#my outdoor cane broke so I tried to fix it #and just ended up making it worse #so new cane time #wanting a wood one this time #so many tabs open trying to find a good one #that I can actually afford #walking canes #it helps that most of the fancy ones have the little tips #so even if I can talk myself into believing the handle could work #I know the tip probably wouldn't #mine #ramblings

Cane acquired!

It should be so much better whenever I have flare-ups, though it's a learning curve to use, I've watched some videos on it but it's gonna take practice to get the rhythm down. I like the way it feels in my hand :3

#so I went for a walk earlier this week!!! at the park!!!#and nothing hurt #and my last podiatrist visit went really well and the bone is healing well #and yet im like. a little hesitant to talk about it on here #bc i spent a lot of time in my 20s absolutely convinced that this was a chronic pain that was never going away #and was only ever going to get worse and worse #and now it’s just. gone #and while im ecstatic about that i feel kind of?? guilty??#cause like. there are SO many people who live with chronic pain worse than mine was #and they aren’t going to get the cutting edge surgery that I got #who have pain there is NO magic bullet for #but it’s in my nature to want to share good news after being in so much pain for so long #and I WANT to talk about how there are calluses on my feet I thought everyone had that are suddenly softening and going away #i WANT to ask what I should do with my collection of canes now that I don’t need them to go grocery shopping #but it’s just. like. maybe this is disrespectful to everyone who won’t ever get that relief #man idk. it’s a weird space to be in #to think you were gonna just be in pain and limited mobility forever and then have it fixed over the course of less than 1 calendar year #and now suddenly i don’t ‘qualify’ to be in chronic pain discord servers anymore #man I just. i dunno. post over

I sent in a medical records request in october? To get life insurance through work (why not right?) And my stupid dr never sent them in.

WHY DID I JUST NOW GET A TEXT FROM THE INSURANCE COMPANY THAT THEY JUST RECEIVED MY RECORD?!?!?!??!?!

#marquilla #they give you like 60 days to get the records. this fucker took like double that. what the fuck.#he's such an incompetent dr as in his office is just so poorly structured that if you do not have them send something in #RIGHT THEN when youre there watching its a fucking toss up if it gets in #and i just never contacted them bc i felt it wasnt MY FUCKING JOB to make sure they got the request that I SENT THEM #and i said well if they get it and i get approved it was meant to be otherwise ill try again some other time.#honestly i only still go to him bc he gave me a disability parking card with no problems like i expected #he was like yeah sure ambulatory cane user yeah you have fibro and cfs mhm got it 👍👍#where i thought he'd be like weeeell do you REALLY need it? i mean you work without it... (bc i only do 4 hrs and can pace it)#but like god help you if you want a new rx for an inhaler for your well documented asthma 🙄 had to ask my allergist the next time i saw him #like a year later and he was like... what have you been doing without one??? like bumming off mom sgdgdggdgdd and drinking warm water while #breathing very measured breaths like the school nurse made me like sgdggdgd im fine i just want to have a new script so i have refills and #fresh inhalers if i fucking need one but apparently my dr didnt think i did 🙄 my allergist actually called in two shgdgdgd #he was like get this bitch TWO inhalers and an epipen NOW

#masky says #again its called SELF indulgence for a reason #im simple i like blind characters who use their blindness to their advantage #ozpin wouldnt be able to rely on ozymandias or any other past lives for sight since they'd need to use HIS body's senses to detect anything #no one can see. its a new experience for almost ever life i'd imagine #but ozpin's grown up without his sight so he knows how to navigate the scary world #hes not totally blind. he can see...vague shapes. very vague.#but thats it.#long memory works as a normal cane and ur usual blind cane #hes memorized beacon's halls along with the usual rush of students and which way they'd come and go to classes so he doesnt get lost in the #-rush if hes ever goin from one place to another alone #glynda usually sticks by his side to act as his guide if hes goin somewhere super crowded #tho i mostly like it cause the vibe of ozpin bein one of those characters who keeps their eyes closed all the time is a VIBE #hes still a top huntsman. hes still the headmaster. hes still one of ozma's many lives #but hes blind. thats all that changes and it changes nothing and also everything #qrow acting as a seeing eye bird when ozpin asks for his help #sitting on his shoulder and cawing if oz nearly bumps into a wall or someone #i know its not real evidence but i do like ozpin memorizing the feel of qrow's facial features #the scruff of his beard the way his skin dips in places where scars linger #he likes touching people hes very touchy. its the best way he knows to see in his own personal way #he wouldnt notice ruby's silver eyes. he'd need to be told later. glynda probably mentions it making ozpin interested even further in her-#-progress and acceptance into his academy

#im in so much fuckin pain i cant move ugh #like. typing this is excruciating #but i cant just stare at the wall or im gonna lose it eventually ugh #my pain is getring progressively worse these days and the last 2 months have been hell #doctors r worried this might be my new normal for the time being #which. uh #SUCKS #bc i cannot stand or walk for more than 5 mins #and i need a walker w me bc my cane isnt enough #and most days i am trapped in bed (or on the couch if i can make it there) unable to take care of myself #bc everything hurts and i feel like i'm being tortured #oh and my lordosis & the related pain is now at a level that might need serious medical intervention #my migraines r out of control #my joint problems r also way worse #and u kno what ? i would like to die now #thanks #truly and genuinely #im so done #i cant keep going this way #my doctor has no idea what to do #and the pain clinic im a patient of refuses to help further unless i sign up for their ridiculous pain education program #which is 8 weeks long with mandatory in-person weekly attendance (i do not live near it & cant afford transportation)#where they tell u all the ways ur pain is ur own fault and give u unrealistic and ridiculous advice abt exercise and lifestyle changes #that u Cannot do bc of said disabilites and pain #jfc #our healthcare system is broken and nobody cares if i live or die or suffer #AND im stuck dealing w my mother complaining abt my existence nonstop bc she resents me for the things i cannot do independently #so u kno what ya i am done. im so done. i give up #catch me rotting in this bed forever until i die. thats the only option being given to me

at this point im literally playing gacha games for the lore and to collect disabled characters. like in genshin alone ive collected collei, baizhu, beidou, xiao, neuvilette, and kaeya (?? depending on what the deal with his eyepatch is). probably others but i forgor

i have decided to remove one of otso's arms, hes an amputee now

#was thinking about how theres no body diversity or disability rep in if games and i wanted to do something about that #i love cane user steps and steps w prosthetics but going back to change vanya milo sasja or chuck doesnt fit #was considering giving otso forearm crutches but tbh idk what they are for. but anyone can be an amputee for any reason #so ive removed his left arm from below the elbow #i think if its ever asked about in interviews he tells a different lie every time #everyone knows that he and seven have known each other in middle school tho so i think they would try asking seven to get to the bottom of #of this. idk if he would go along w each new lie or just tell them the truth or refuse to comment #otso laukkanen #op #infamous if #have yet to settle on a canon explanation tho. either he was born this way / has been an amputee since he was v v young #or he had to have it amputated end of middle school / beginning of high school and he started writing songs to train his right hand bc he #he had previously been a leftie

wish i didnt have 'playing soulslike games wrong' and 'misassigning all my skill points' syndrome aside from just having a general skill issue in those games, because theyre genuinely super fun games with interesting worlds but they're soooo frustrating when i play them

#watched revscarecrows dark souls 2 playthrough #and he just used ranged weapons half the time!!#it wouldnt even have occured to me to use a ranged weapon because i wasnt doing an archer build!!!!! i didnt know that was a valid option #im somehow so resistant to trying new weapons 'correctly' that i was using my starter weapon cane in bloodborne towards the end #because nothing else seemed to deal any damage!?#when i tried to replay sekiro it was so frustrating i cried and had to stop because it was just too much #i really wanna try lies of p but im scared it will just make me feel bad despite probably being a super cool fun game #the demo gave me vertigo because of the camera too so i might wanna check if you can disable the weird camera smoothing #every time i replay dark souls 1 i brickwall at ornstein and smough and need to overlevel to overcome them. probably because my levels went #into the wrong stats even though i try a bit different each time #jeady rambles #wow this was a long ramble. hi people who read unnecesseraly long tag ramblings. love you :3

i wanna be more fit this semester

more healthy? probably not overall. maybe a little but im trying to be realistic about my expectations.

i just want to work on my stamina now that i feel capable of doing that. i wanna go hiking more again. i wanna see forest plants i miss forest plants so bad

#i joined forestry club and they do weekly hikes so i have that option #and cute new autism king also said if we have time he'd go with me #i just cant go alone im too worried about passing out and having no one there #thots et al #but yeah this thursday theres a plant ID walk!! gonna try and go if i have the energy #besides my toolkit has expanded #with compression stockings and a cane and some other prep i KNOW i can do this stuff #and id rather do it while i can

through all the practice sawashiro fights ive done this morning ive decided he has a really weird grudge against eri for whatever reason

#snap chats #IM CRYING #THE PAST LIKE FIVE RUNS HE'S TARGETED HER THE MOST #there was a run where joon-gi got the shit of it but for the most part it's just been eri #and she'll be on the cusp of health and ill be like 'well i can just heal next turn' and then Next Turn happens and he beelines for her #LIKE LEAVE HER ALONE SHE JUST SELLS CRACKERS WHAT IS YOUR DAMAGE. feminist king he's prioritizing the woman #bro found out her company's called 'ichiban confections' and saw red. literally Lol Hi Ichi #anyway. ive figured a new strat to get out of his second phase faster since that's The Problematic Phase #in my notes it says to buy two (2) rocket launchers before leaving sotenbori but i cant ?? find out where the second one's meant to go #one of them's meant for kiryu but after the kiryu fight i have in my notes to buy two more so. and you can only hold two launchers #this aint RE4 shit where you can just rocket launcher your way through the game LMAO #but yeah BEGRUDGINGLY listening to yokoyama's speedrun advice for once #ive routed in a rocket launcher as soon as the second phase starts #with any luck At Most i'll only have to deal with one or two cane strikes #so if i can just buff out the timing then this fight shouldn't be all that scary anymore #im slightly skeptical on my numbers since in this file i have adachi was one level short of getting the essence of shield rupture #so i had to do a little extra grinding but i dont think it'll be that different from a live run. i just want to perfect the guarding anyhow #y7's stats arent really revolved around your party member's levels its more around their equipment. level's important sure but not overly s #i thiiiink im getting better at it: ive figured that when he uses vile mutilation during the first phase it's a quicker guard vs vile enmit #just gotta get the feel of it down..#after my class i think im gonna have a Boss Fight Practice stream #im p sure i have a speedrun save right before the millenium tower and i think im gonna quickly make kiryu and ishioda ones #since im right here anyway #ok by i have twenty minutes Until that class lmao
