This video took a little bit to finally release but it's here.  We shot this December 4th.  The idea was to give the artist something rough and rugged.  I figured what would be better for a brooklyn rapper than a rip from the famous movie WARRIORS. I know it has been done over time and time again but I figured I could do a bit more than what others have done.  It was a hectic day, we missed a lot but we got a lot too.  Oh, yeah, and this was the day I promised myself I would never use Redrock's DSLR Mattebox rig again...  EVER!

Today, i did an extensive search to find someone to do the visual effects for my short film "Meticulous".  Last night and today, actually.  I stumbled on a company called Brainstorm Digital.  Now, these guys do the FX for Boardwalk Empire, so they're kind of the real deal.  My first thoughts are...  I cant afford them, but what the hell, I was damn near desperate so I gave them a call.  I didn't know who to ask for so I mashed "1" as it was the first person listed in their directory.  I spoke to a gentleman by the name of Glenn Allen...  Maybe it was the tone of my voice, but immediately he says, so there are no resources, correct?  i paused for a moment and said, not really.  I thought immediately he was going to tell me that I called the wrong place and tell me to find a freelancer.  He didn't!  He actually told me to send him the locked picture edit and a list of timecodes with the edits needed, along with the list of effects...  A few hours later, he calls me back and we chat.

Basically for the extensive work I need done, I don't have enough money to use his company, but... BUT...  He's willing to help me get this done while not sacrificing an ounce of quality.  What can I say, he's an INNOVATIVE guy.  I'm going to follow his lead on this one.  Why????  Because all he wants is to be able to attach his company's credit to the film.  So I say to myself, wow, if he's an emmy award winning visual effects producer, no way no how would he attach himself to any work that is... Subpar.  So I can rest comfortably knowing that I am in good hands with Mr. Glenn Allen co-founder/vfx producer at Brainstorm Digital!

So, I frequently search Twitter to find things that inspire me.  I ran into a director by the name of Greg Williams, his twitter name is @GVisuals.  What I like about him is he seems to be following the Hype Williams play book.  His work closely parallel’s Hype’s style, at least his older style.  But he does it with a more modern flare.  World renowned director Mark Pellington emailed me and told me, to find a director you like and RIP their style, eventually it will become your own.  That was the most sound advice I ever had.

Honestly, I'd have to say, this video showed a huge lack of creativity.  It was put together in 24 hours, it's not amazing!  I'm really excited to show the world my 2012 projects, they are more appropriate for my brand!
