S.M. Beiko is a Winnipeg-based author of award-winning young adult fantasy (The Lake and the Library, The Realms of Ancient trilogy) as well as an editor of original comics anthologies (Gothic Tales of Haunted Love; Gothic Tales of Haunted Futures) and short horror fiction. She is also the artist and writer of the original webcomic, Krampus is My Boyfriend!

Samantha Mary (S.M.) Beiko is an author, as well as a book publishing professional. She currently works in the Canadian book and comic industry as a freelance editor, graphic designer, and consultant. Her first novel, The Lake and the Library, was nominated for the Manitoba Book Award for Best First Book, as well as the 2014 Aurora Award. Her next series, The Realms of Ancient, began with the Copper Cylinder Award-winning Scion of the Fox (ECW Press, 2017), and the sequels Children of the Bloodlands (2018) and The Brilliant Dark (2019). She is the co-editor of Gothic Tales of Haunted Love (Bedside Press, 2018), and her short fiction has been anthologized in Gush: Menstrual Manifestos of Our Times (Frontenac House, 2018) and Parallel Prairies: Stories (Enfield & Wizenty, 2018). She appears regularly on the Super Pulp Science podcast, and the Business BFFs podcast, both about creative entrepreneurship in the speculative genre.
