Does anyone else periodically rewatch the SWTOR short films for that sweet, sweet nostalgia? And also to see Darth Malgus looking more and more fucked up with every appearance.

Some rough besany and ordo from my sketchbook because i think they are neat!
When Besany first got to know Ordo, he was impersonating one of her friends; between that and her career I don't think she'd have a lot of implicit trust in him. I don't think she'd have a lot of implicit trust in anybody.
And Ordo's trust issues are a whole other can of worms; he really truly only feels he can rely on himself and his family.
I don't think either of them can just let themselves trust one another; I think its an active, affirmed, ongoing choice. Their instinct is to mistrust, but they choose to have faith in each other. "I will put myself at your mercy because I want to let you uphold that trust."
I just can't see them growing closer except through continuous leaps of faith, and intentional vulnerability, and I actually really like that for both of them.

THE UNTOLD STORY OF HOW AND WHY FELA KUTI MARRIED 27 WOMEN ON THE SAME DAY IN 1978 (A must read)
In 1978, the pioneer of Afrobeats, Fela Anikulapo Kuti, married 27 women in one day. This should not be strange to those who know the life and style of the Nigerian music legend nicknamed Abami Eda (strange creature).
Many of Fela’s band members became homeless after the devastating soldier attack on Fela’s commune (Kalakuta Republic) in 1977. In order to keep them together, Fela decided to do the unusual.
He gave a piece of paper to his female band members requesting the names of those that would like to marry him; the entire twenty-seven female band members put down their names.
After getting their consent, Fela Kuti married the 27 women on the 20th of February, 1978, at the Parisona Hotel in Anthony, Lagos, with the blessings of twelve Ifa priests. It was alleged that some parents of the ladies objected the marriage.
Fela married the women to protect and keep them together. The marriage ceremony was attended by Fela’s families, friends and other band members.
During the marriage ceremony, Fela rendered a short speech, pressed naira notes on his new wives’ foreheads and gave them marriage certificates. Fela embraced a rotation system of 12 wives at a time. After the marriage, Fela took his 27 wives to Ghana for honeymoon.
However, in 1986, shortly after his release from prison, Fela Kuti divorced his 27 wives on the claim that marriage brings jealousy. It should be noted that they were not forced to leave his house after the divorce; some lived with him till his death in 1997.

I think if I ever replay PoE1 (or even if it will let me change her in PoE2), I might change Sabina from a Mountain Dwarf/Ranger to a Ocean Folk/Fighter. As much as I've loved having an animal buddy on my side I feel a little like I'm encroaching on Sagani and Itumaak, and bc of the camera angle I have to constantly remind myself that Sabina is a dwarf 😅

Colonial era
In the New World, as early as 1512, African slaves escaped from Spanish captors and either joined indigenous peoples or eked out a living on their own. The first slave rebellion occurred in present day Dominican Republic on the sugar plantations owned by Admiral Diego Columbus, on 26 December 1522, and was brutally crushed by the Admiral. The first maroon communities of the Americas were established following this revolt, as many of the slaves were able to escape. This was also to give rise to a wave of Dominican maroons who went on to lead the first maroon activities of the Americas. Sebastián Lemba, born in Africa, successfully rebelled against the Spaniards in 1532, and banded together with other Africans in his 15-year struggle against the Spanish colonists.
Lemba was eventually joined by other maroons such as Juan Vaquero, Diego del Guzmán, Fernando Montoro, Juan Criollo and Diego del Campo in the struggle against slavery. As the maroons threatened Spanish commerce and trade, Spanish officials began to fear a maroon takeover of the island. By the 1540s, maroons had already controlled the interior portions of the island, although areas in the east, north, and western parts of the island were also to fall under maroon control. Maroon bands would venture out throughout the island, usually in large groups, attack villages they encountered, burn down plantations, kill and ransack the Spaniards, and liberate the slaves. Roadways had become so open to attack, the Spaniards felt it was necessary to only navigate in groups. Dominican maroons would be present throughout the island until the mid 17th century.
