They were familiar with each other's reputations but not the man behind them. The two were both friend killers in their own rite. Bloody hands were a heavy burden, regardless of what anyone claimed. They came with a heavy shadow, a contorted perception of reality apt to twisting itself to align with dark idealism. There were no heroes in their world, only weapons... regardless of what either of them claimed.

The words fall heavily from the other's lips, a testament to the life they lived. It was a relentlessly bloody path with little room for shared drinks in smoky bars... but tonight was a rare exception. When the two of them had crossed paths, it was by accident. It's no shocker that Sakura Haruno grew TIRED of being weak and never being able to protect herself, afterall who wouldn't feel that way when they're surrounded by TALENTED NINJAS belonging to WELL-KNOWN CLANS. She knew form the moment Sasuke left the village, if she didn't try harder then she'd likely DIE before she'd ever bring him back home. And that's quite frankly not the most ideal thing.

Sasuke is unfortunately a part of the reason in which she chose to take up training with Tsunade. But over time, it became less about that and more about being glad to help.

IT FELT GOOD TO HAVE SOMEONE FINALLY PROUD OF HER, SOMETHING HER PARENTS NEVER SHOWED HER.
