The Stranger and my thoughts on where each LCB Sinner is at (Long)
Hey, I actually sat down and read L'etranger, Meursault's source novel. I've got some fucking feelings about it, especially relating it to Limbus Company and what it might mean for his Canto in like 2 years.
Firstly, you should read or listen to this book. It's short, surprisingly punchy, and easy to follow. I (probably) don't have autism but I can absolutely see a read of this where the character does or is neurodivergent in some other way; beyond his relationship and evaluation of social queues and norms he also seems to deal with sensory issues. There are better people than me who should talk about this and I'm probably not adding a lot to the conversation but keeping this reading in my head for the climax added an extra layer of discomfort (intentional discomfort for the benefit of the story's message, I should say) to the whole book. But It's worth experiencing even if you disagree with that reading or have a different one.
Limbus Brainrot/Spoiler stuff from here on in.
There's always the question of where exactly each Sinner is in their story as they're on the bus. Their stories have been reinterpreted and/or jumbled in ways that make it fun to guess, so to go over each Sinner and where they are based on what we know or my theories:
Yi Sang - I'm not gonna front, I don't really get The WIngs, but this seems like a Good End AU for him. He already escaped his "Wife's" control and the sunless room and is now flying again (metaphorically, or maybe literally? i dont know help me).
Faust - Likely in the middle of the part where she's using Mephistopheles' power to do good in the world and prior to her being damned to hell. Side note, she's last to get a Canto and I bet it's not a coincidence that (afaik) she and Dante are the only two with Hell in their stories directly. My long shot call is that Faust is also Beatrice and there will be so much DantexFaust ship art in 2026.
Don Quixote - The biggest enigma. La Sangre de Sancho has gripped the imagination of the fandom and I am no exception. She's next after Heathcliff so we'll get her some time in August at the latest and I can't wait. My best guess is she's currently gallivanting and will be forced home in her Canto, assuming Don is Sancho theory isn't true. Praying her Canto is called The Impossible.
Ryoshu - In Hell Screen, the reason the painter is obsessed with torture is that he can only paint what he has seen and is trying to paint the Buddhist Hell. In his quest for his art he destroys his life and those around him, and ends up committing suicide over it. But there is a villain in the form of the Lord who beyond driving the story by requesting the screen in the first place is guilty of SA and murder. I'm expecting we're post story; the Lord is related to the five fingers, the daughter might be recast as a friend or something, and the sword Ryoshu carries is likely the screen. Nothing revolutionary in my guesses here, but it's either going to be that straight-forward or insanely abstract, where she's the lord and the painter and the daughter and the screen and the sword is the monkey or some shit.
Hong Lu - I have not yet read Dream of a Red Chamber, it's next on the list. Forgive me!
Heathcliff - Oh boy. Like many, I expect he is post-spurning by Catherine and is on his journey for his fortune on the LCB. So, his Canto will be about coming home to a beloved who is with someone else. Yes, the beloved blorbo will suffer for my amusement. Let's go 3 hours Heathmael sex scene!
Ishmael - We now know her story already kinda happened, as many expected, making this a bizarre sequel to Moby Dick. I think it gave PM a lot of room to do whatever they wanted to while still sticking to the themes of the story. Already wrote about what I loved about this and the recontextualizing of Ahab as a whale unto herself (which I don't actually know if it's in the original novel, but it wouldn't surprise me).
Rodion - A weird one. Her inciting incident happened, the murdering of the landlord/pawnbroker, but the unintentional death of the innocent sister was shifted to the entire damn block. So if I had to guess she's in the period after her crime trying to avoid being caught, but no police officer allegory has really been introduced yet. I read Crime and Punishment years ago so I can't say for certain but it feels the most loosely adapted and suffers a tad for being part of the intro. Rodya's story is in no way finished so it's up in the air. Praying for a Petrovich just so people can meet the OG Columbo.
Sinclair - Still need to read Demian, but I have a rough understanding of the plot. Also unfinished in his story, Sinclair has a long way to go to his self-realization. This feels more intentional however, I remember someone made an observation of Cinqlair as representative of his drunken college years where he's popular but unfulfilled, and I think we can extend that to all of his IDs. He seems to have the most potential of all the Sinners, so much so that I wouldn't be surprised if there's a mirror world where he's a Color unto himself. I digress, the point is he's pre Frau Eva (who if she turn's out to be the Purple Tear I will lose my mind) who is also called Beatrice at some point so what's up with that PM?
Outis - Another big mystery, especially as she isn't Odysseus but Outis, a name referencing a particular part of the Odyssey with the Cyclops. I have to imagine she's on the Odyssey, journeying home after the Smoke War (which might have some parallels with the Trojan War beyond the obvious). It's interesting all the Greek myth named Abnormalities are Hospital themed, might be something there but nothing I can parse from my limited knowledge of Greek society and folklore. While she' might be a traitor, I'm thinking she's joined Limbus Company to hide while on her journey; she might be wanted dead by something and is concealing her identity after what happened in the war.
Greg - Again, a character post-story. He was locked in a room, he metamorphized, and... well he's alive? So we've diverged from the source novel, as it's taken the allegorical meanings and made them more literal, but Hermann is still around and a major player so who knows where this will go?
Meursault - I have so many thoughts. Meursault could be anywhere in his story, but I'm going to guess it's one of two places. First guess, we're completely pre story. His Canto opens with him getting a message that Maman died today, or maybe yesterday, he doesn't know. So the whole story plays out over the course of the Canto. But more likely, and my prediction, is that he's currently in "jail" awaiting his execution or acquittal. He has already murdered a man (or done some other crime) and instead of being tried for that, he has been tried and sentenced for his peculiarities of character. Bound in the chains of others, the multitudes have tightened their hold (I'm very clever and not cringe at all).
So I have to wonder what light blinded him, overwhelmed him so much that it led to his crime? The Bright Nights and Dark Days are an obvious choice, and I'm not the first to suggest it. Perhaps he distorted? Anyway, his story ends with him having given up on acquittal and instead hoping for a crowd of people hating him as he approaches the guillotine. I'm super interested in how this will play out in Limbus, especially as he must survive for gameplay purposes.
Also, Meursault is so horny. Like, oh my god. Half of his thoughts are of Marie, specifically of wanting her and all the connotations that contains. He spurns God in the face of a Chaplain, saying that He is worth nothing compared to a single hair on a woman's head. Meursault is not a romantic but not just some horndog either, his desire for sex and women and their bodies feels like an extension of his worldview centered on the immediacy of life and not just debauchery or hedonism. It's a part of the idea life is lived as today, yesterday, and tomorrow, and there is joy and happiness in that simplicity. I feel like this will get cut for Limbus but I hope it isn't, I want Meursault to casually admit he desires every Sinner on the bus carnally (yes the men and NB too, probably just a HC but I do believe that the City is a binormative society based on its already loose relationship to gender identity).
So uh, that's the thoughts so far. Merry Christmas, I guess.

Thank you for your last post! I love all the discourse around Sinners and hearing people theories and opinions whether we agree or not because art is subjective. ( Doesn't mean everybody is a hater. People are probably laughing as they type. Lol) Just learning how we all have different perspectives, which can change over time. As long as we talk about the characters of the story and not actors, we are good. Watching Sinners really made me see my family and have my mind replay family stories I grew up hearing that include hard topics like passing, racism, colorism, and more. Ryan Coogler did that, and that is why the movie was good!
Absolutely!
I am loving all the convos. You are so right about the reflecting on our own histories. I am descended from the Mississippi Band of Choctaw, my family is Creole with Geechee/Gullah influences added in through marriage and community in Mississippi. I'm also one who grew up with Hoodoo from older lineages. So seeing all the people that make me who I am today onscreen was a pure treat. Even Mary/Stack's relationship reflected the real life situation of my grandparents. AND it's a horror/supernatural flick?! Heaven!
I saw the movie with my sister and we talked about our grandmother choosing not to pass like some of her relatives did. We reflected on stories of the passing ones who sent money home to help get our people to Chicago and back east to Pennsylvania during the great migrations out of the south. There were some who no longer wanted the burden of Blackness and disappeared off the family tree. And also the cousins around our age and younger today who are willfully passing now because they want to be MAGA (yikes). My older family members also struggled with internalized colorism against darker family members.
Black Americans have a beautiful, complicated, amazing, and rich cultural legacy that we gave to the world FREELY at times, and in others, straight up stolen and erased. That's why the impact of Beyonce's "Cowboy Carter" and Kendrick Lamar's "Not Like Us" Shakesperean-like take-down of a cosplayer lit up the country last year. "Sinners" is just the underlining and exclamation point added to this new gatekeeping and protection of Blackness in the era of the U.S. government rabidly and very overtly taking measures to erase us out of American history. What a time to be alive to witness yet another great Black cultural moment brought to us by Ryan Coogler!
*spoiler alert below*
When he showed us the juke scene with the ancestors, he was telling us what I always tell my friends. Black people embody the past, present, and future every day by simply breathing. Our present was some ancestors future vision. Our present is also our future's past. Sankofa for real. I hope it makes a lot of money and encourages other artists to create with intention, too. We need it more than ever.

1) you don’t know me, so stop pretending like you do with this “oh you changed” bullshit. we’ve never had a conversation, and to be clear, very few people here have ever had a conversation with me throughout my time here. you’re basing my identity off of decade old posts, assuming opinions based on snippets of others, and starting shit with me over it as if it matters, as if I care, as if you care, as if there’s a solution to our argument, as if there’s a solution to the problem at all. you’re playing pretend.
2) the post is directly in reference to artists and the ghiblification phenomenon. you’re adding the doomsday part to change the tone to make it more serious than it is because you know the actual issue I’m speaking on isn’t serious in the fucking slightest and is being blown out of proportion almost entirely by normies and artists with limited talent who weren’t prepared for this shift and pretending they’re about to lose their livelihood when they can’t even make a fucking sale and want to make it seem like it’s all ai’s fault. it’s turning pictures into cartoons. we both know that’s not all ai is, we both know there’s many applications, you’re lumping them all together as one thing. it isn’t. also, not all artists, only the ones refusing to learn, refusing to change, and bitching about it.
3) my response was “agree to disagree. it depends on how you use the tool.” I didn’t say I made money on it, I didn’t make any money it actually, thanks for reminding me, I said that you could if you are early to the trend. making money off of a trend isn’t immoral, nobody is dying or has died because of $ghibli (yet), again the studio itself hasn’t lost a fucking dime during this because of the outpouring of real fans supporting them because they think art is under attack when it’s only being expanded on, on top of it being one of the leading trends in the world further establishing the style and the prolific nature of the studio and the clear cultural impact it’s had on everyone. peeling back the layers of this being a pious position on your end really rubs me the wrong way because I don’t need a fucking sinner telling me that of myself, hypocrite, worry about your choices, especially when you’re accusing me of profiting off of fucking blood money like a lunatic. You’re so off-base right now it’s almost laughable.
God is blessing me, despite what you may think, and has been since Meagan died. You remember that too right? You know all about me, so you must remember when my girlfriend was killed in a drunk driving accident, on Christmas no less, and you must remember how fucked up I was afterwards since I disappeared for a few years. I’m sure you also remember when I came back only for 80% of my mutuals to constantly post drunk driving memes and publicly made fun of me for saying I was gonna start blocking people over it so I don’t have to be reminded of my dead girlfriend everytime I logged on, right? I distinctly remember, “we like the memes, not you,” which told me everything I needed to know about my peers here, especially with none of you having a word to say about it, so I’m not really interested in what any of you fucking people think of me, especially now when I’ve been consistently right about what I’m talking about for two years in regards to crypto and it’s been dead silence across the board on that subject too. You people do not give a fuck about me or my opinion unless I am in alignment with you and yours, and again, you don’t know where I stand, you’re assuming, I explained a little further because I only had so much room to type and so much bandwidth to allocate to it because I had a feeling you were gonna be like this since that’s the current trend here. I actually don’t owe you any explanation and you can feel free to fuck off if you don’t like me, that’s an open invitation to anyone else feeling this way too.
an interesting thing about life altering grief is that it sort of changes your worldview a bit, especially when you manage to find a way out. the doomsday scenario you’re talking about happens regardless of whether or not we want it to and regardless of my participation on the fringes simply placing bets on emerging trends and technology as they present themselves. I’m doing what I can the best way I know how in a desperate attempt to have the resources available to me before shit really hits the fan, everyone else is online crying over cartoons. we’re not doing the same thing. @bwv572

I made the mistake of not taking a photo of myself experiencing the art but I did include a screenshot of my payment from my bank showing that I was indeed there!
My chosen work is : The Mystery of Life - 1879 ; Carl Marr, 1858-1936
This painting is oil on canvas. This work is of what I would consider to be average size; about the size of a poster from your nearest poster retailer and would fit nicely in any kitchenette or privy room. The focal point of this work is an illuminated figure of a deceased woman positioned in the center of the frame. Above her a distraught man stand clutching his forehead. This work is composed with a non-linear perspective; the vanishing point appearing to be the dimly lit dot of the moon or a star in the background. Visually the non-action of the deceased woman resigned to the bottom rectangle of the frame balances with the rocky background, moonlit night, and the anguished man are kept in the upper half rectangle. Subdued earthy tones and a rich dark blue sky surround the deceased woman; herself bathed in ghostly white glow that exaggerates her fair complexion. Her fair complexion provided further contrast with the old man's darkened skin. This contrast is used to great affect when the story behind this painting is revealed. The anguished man, is a representation of a sinner, who, having cursed Jesus, was damned to live an eternal life. The fair woman, appears to be young and angelic, revealing the tragedy of her fate and therein the cruelty of this man's eternal suffering.
This work has stood out to me for as long as I have known of it. I've been a life long regular of John Ringling's museum and recall seeing this painting when I was barely weened off of training wheels on my bike. I am not religious. My family was never the church going type and I myself have lived firmly in the secular world. To me there is nothing after death. Which itself is a horror of incomprehensible measure. Seeing this painting truly makes me contemplate my mortality. Perhaps death is not a curse but a blessing? Life is good for me and I have no intentions of making it any shorter. However, perhaps death should be seen as a part of life and not a finality to it?
The artist, Carl Von Marr, was an American born German artist. Marr apprenticed in the US before immigrating to his family's country of heritage, Germany. There, Marr was part of the prolific " German Realist" movement; a style that eschews expressionism in favor of depicting reality in an unrelentingly accurate way. Marr's other works depict people and places as the would exist in reality without adding to the drama or flair. Marr in his later life was appointed as a director to The Royal Academy; an institution that he had studied under prior to him immigration to Germany. Another of his notable works " Flagellants" carries a common religious theme to my selected work and is used to show the importance of religious devotion. " Flagellants" depicts yet again the pure and holy devotees as pale and fair skinned; each shirtless figure has outstretched arms in exaltation and one figure is seen lacerating himself in penance/ praise. I believe that Marr was a pious man, having depicted two striking religious works. One showing the consequences of sin and the other showing those cleansing themselves of sin. Much like the murals of grand chapels of the renaissance era, I believe Marr to have painted these to tell important stories within the greater Christian culture.
Personally, I chose Marr's work for the way it challenges my perception of mortality. The curse upon the man depicted is to me a blessing. Immortality would be a gift.
Why I feel that this work is culturally important is another story. I am not religious therefore the message of this work is lost on me entirely. What is important to me is the relative modernity of this work. This is not some piece that has survived 600 years to be viewed by a modern audience. This work has echoes of those style of antiquity, but is recognizably modern. These echoes seen in this work go to show you that the innovations of painting in the Renaissance and the Baroque periods were not just some fad of the times but have become a standard of this style of work.

Now the questionnaire has arrived.
(Very long)
Sinner of madness
His real name is Andrew, but he abandoned it so as not to return to the past.
Status: hybrid (half sinner, half hound)
Appearance:
Tumblr media
In a past life he had no special role. A simple teenager with typical problems. He had a family: mother Abigail, father Vector and older sister Maria. Maria was 5 years older than Andrew.
What he looked like in a past life:
Tumblr media
(Yeah, this is gacha and i too lazy to draw art. Sorry about that. I made it in gacha plus.)
Relationships with family:
Relationships are different when I was alive and when I went to hell. He loves his mother and sister very much and the relationship has not changed, but with his father everything is different. I used to love you, but when I died I started to hate you. Why? Now I'll tell you...
Everything was fine in the family. His mother was a teacher, his father was a miner, and his older sister worked part-time as a chef. But one day everything collapsed. The mother was in a car accident, where she could not be saved. It was a big disaster for the family. This greatly influenced the father, or he began to release his emotions (in particular, rage) on his own children. Maria protected her younger brother, taking everything upon herself or calming him down, saying that everything would be fine. But she couldn’t stand it either. In her room, she killed herself with a rope. Andrew was left alone with his father and his fears. And so there were problems at school, both with my personal life, and my father added. At some point... Andrew got tired of it. He took a knife in the kitchen and killed his father. Surprisingly, he liked it. As in typical stories about murderers, he began to eliminate his offenders. He eliminated almost everyone. The last one left, Elizabeth, ran away from him through the forest. Andrew was ready to end it, but was shot in the back of the head. It was a hunter who thought the guy was a bear. Thus ended his life in the human world. And he was only 17.
Life in Hell:
He left the circle of anger and arrived in the circle of pride. Life was not easy and we had to live somehow. He first worked as a cook in a restaurant. There he met Moxxie, where he helped organize a romantic evening for his wife Millie. However, Andrew did not stay long and was fired due to a setup. I went on to work in a bar. I thought that he would be a bartender, but it turned out... That his role was... Something similar to Angel Dust. Still, with difficulty, I was able to escape from there. Not just escape, but even accidentally set the bar on fire. Some demons found him and... took him to a shelter, considering him a homeless hound because of his ears and tail.
The sinner thought that he could not find hope for a normal life, but he was found by Charlie Morningstar, daughter of Lucifer, founder of the Hazbin Hotel. She decided to take the sinner with her to the hotel. There was already a basically normal life there. Was able to have a heart-to-heart talk with Angel, learn martial arts thanks to Vaggie, etc. Quite... Had a good time, but it was time for him to move on, leaving this hotel. He eventually met with Moxxie again, and Moxxie persuaded Blitz to hire him as a new employee. This is how Andrew began his career as a killer.
I’ve been in hell for a year now, if not more, and I’ve been able to find a lot of things. At work at I.M.P I was a good worker and gained more experience each time.
Attitude towards employees:
Blitz doesn’t particularly approve of his jokes, but appreciates him as a boss and understands his past. He helped Blitz get along with Stolas.
Moxie is a good partner with whom you can discuss something over a cup of coffee.
Millie is a good friend and a psychologist. Why psychologist? Because Millie listened to his problems and supported him.
Luna - they didn’t get along very well before, but after that they became friends.
It also has its relation to goetie:
Stolas: a good conversationalist, and he was the one who helped with many problems.
Stella: deep hatred for her
Andrealfus: neutral.
Octavia: Let's just say the sinner likes her.(Yeah,i know that Octavia is asexual but i made it as my au and my character was made before that fact)
He met Octavia literally in a circle of lust, where she was sitting under a tree. The sinner approached her and a conversation began. Day after day they became closer and managed to become a comfortable friend. Then met Stolas thanks to Octavia talking about Andrew and even met at home. Andrew saw Stella in a cafe, where she offered to work for her a little. Andrew agreed and... He still regrets it. Previously, he was her usual assistant, but when he learned that Stella wanted to kill Stolas, he refused to work and this angered her. Because of this, Stella began to mock the sinner. She killed and revived to do it again. It came out more than a thousand times. They either drowned or set fire to whatever they could to torture the sinner. In his mind, the sinner was literally sitting in a cage and in chains. Stella drove him crazy. One of the tortures became the craziest. Goetie turned Andrew into a small mouse, which other Goetie began to hunt. Octavia even bit off a mouse's hand. Only Stolas noticed that something was wrong and discovered the catch. He returned the sinner to his normal form. Of course, it’s strange that the hand remained intact after its normal shape, but still... few people are able to answer this question. And they probably noticed that he met Octavia in a circle of lust. How did you meet if sinners cannot leave the circle of pride? Even Andrew doesn’t know, but he assumes that it’s because of half the hound that he can afford it.
There was a real war with Stella. And they couldn’t really touch each other. Why? Because if a sinner dies, the same Stolas will find out and be able to prove her guilt, and if the sinner kills Stella, then what will Octavia say? He is afraid of what she will say, afraid of losing her. One day... A battle began in one palace, where the sinner won. Then I was in the hospital for another two weeks. After recovery, he took courage into his own hands and told everything like it was to Octavia, or he was tired of keeping everything inside himself, and... if she doesn’t understand, then that’s her problem. At first Octavia was angry, but then she began to understand and was even... happy? Her mother still didn't pay much attention to her.
Want a joke? Stella was alive after the battle but was severely injured. She was found by her brother Andrealfus. There was another battle after its restoration, where Stella was finally defeated by cutting off her head.
Let's talk about character: he can be jealous, crazy, cold, but at the same time he can also be kind.
He felt sorry for killing some victims on order.
Date of birth: September 10. (This is the date when I first came up with the character in 2021.)
He is good with edged weapons (in particular an ax and a knife), as well as a pistol.
Facts: Red hair shades glow in the dark. She gave the respirator to Millie and began to wear it often. When the respirator broke, it was automatically repaired.
How did he come up with this nickname?
He took his status as a sinner and his character as madness.
Yellow star-shaped pupils are visible in the eyes, but when the eyes turn black, these pupils disappear.
IQ: He is smart thanks to spending several days in Goetti's library.
Abilities: Telekinesis, teleportation, basic hellhound abilities, transform into a puppy, transform into an old version of himself when he was alive.
Likes: chocolate, Octavia, his friends, knives, meat, music, silence, night.
Dislikes: noises, when someone interferes with his business, when he has to make a difficult decision
Fears: afraid of being left without friends (no, this is not autophobia, he is sometimes alone, but he is afraid of being left without them), Satan and other demons of mortal sins.
He is not the strongest, or he can be defeated easily, but at the same time he is not weak, or he was able to defeat those higher than him (Goetti, a couple of Overlords)
Zestial and Andrealfus noticed that the sinner is not a sinner at all, but an Overlord, or how can his powers be explained?
However, the sinner himself denies it, saying that he is simply strong, unlike others.
“I’m not an Overlord, I don’t consider myself one. I'm not the strongest, but I'm not the weakest either. I’m just a strong sinner and nothing more.”
That's all for now. I will answer your questions
Thanks for reading

Releasing Healing Promises Through This Prayer Strategy
He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed (Isaiah 53:5 NKJV).
Who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed (1 Peter 2:24 NKJV).
Gratitude and defensive praise are contagious.
Although the Bible doesn’t specifically say so, I imagine that those who saw what was going on the day Jesus healed the infirm woman were caught up in praise as well.
And when Jesus saw her, he called her to him, and said unto her, Woman, thou art loosed from thine infirmity. And he laid His hands on her: and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God. …And when he had said these things, all his adversaries were ashamed: and all the people rejoiced for all the glorious things that were done by him (Luke 13:12-13, 17 KJV).
The Church also must find room to join in praise when the broken are healed. Those who missed the great blessing that day were those who decided to argue about religion. The Bible describes Heaven as a place where the angels rejoice over one sinner who comes into the faith.
Likewise, I say to you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents (Luke 15:10 NKJV).
They rejoice because Jesus heals those who are broken. Likewise, God’s people are to rejoice because the broken-hearted and emotionally wounded come to Him.
The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed (Luke 4:18 NKJV).
Christ unleashed power in the infirm woman that day. He healed her body and gave her the strength of character to keep a proper attitude. All who are broken and wounded today will find power unleashed within when they respond to the call and bring their wounds to the Great Physician.

Prayer
I offer You, the Great Physician, my humblest and most sincere gratitude for the healings You have blessed me with over the years. From a scratch that heals itself to the mental anguish that inevitably comes from life’s bumps and bruises, You have never neglected bringing me comfort and recovery. You are great and greatly to be praised. In Jesus’s name, amen.
Declaration
I believe in the Miracle Worker who healed yesterday and heals today and every tomorrow.
Good and Perfect Gifts
Whatever is good and perfect is a gift coming down to us from God our Father, who created all the lights in the heavens. He never changes or casts a shifting shadow (James 1:17 NLT).
Jesus healed ten lepers, and only one returned to Him (see Luke 17:11-19). When he came to Jesus, he fell down at His feet and worshipped Him. Then Jesus asked a question. It’s seldom that Jesus, the omniscient One, would ask anything, but this time He had a question. I shall never forget the pointedness of His question. He asked the one who returned, “Where are the nine?”
Perhaps you are the one in ten who has the discernment to know that this blessing is nothing without the One who caused it all to happen. Most people are so concerned about their immediate needs that they fail to take the powerful experience that comes from a continued relationship with God! This is for the person who goes back to the Sender of gifts with the power of praise.
Ten men were healed, but to the one who returned, Jesus added the privilege of being whole. Many will climb the corporate ladder. Some will claim the accolades of this world. But soon all will realize that success, even with all its glamour, cannot heal a parched soul that needs the refreshment of a change of pace. Nothing can bring wholeness like the presence of a God who lingers on the road where He first blessed you to see if there is anything in you that would return you from the temporal to embrace the eternal.
Remember, healing can be found anywhere, but whole- ness is achieved only when you go back to the Sender with all of your heart and thank Him for the miracle of a second chance. Whatever you do, don’t forget your roots. When you can’t go anywhere else, my friend, remember you can go home!
Prayer
Jesus, my Savior, I pray that I will be the one who will always return to thank You for all that You do for me—for my good health, family, friends, employment, the air I breathe and the water that nourishes me—but especially for the sacrifice You made on the Cross for my salvation. Thank You!
Declaration
I declare and believe that Jesus is the Son of God and that He reigns forevermore in Heaven.

September Art Book Haul
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Yeah, a veritable mountain of art books in this haul. It's part of why it's taken me so long to make a post for it, because where do I really begin? Well, the best that I could come up with was to just sorta dive into a few of the "most interesting" entries specifically, while still detailing just what it is that I've got here. So, I'll try me best to grab the most interesting stuff and explain that with this post.
Well, in image number one we've got some cool stuff, two pairs of key animation books for their respective series. Shockingly, the Haruhi set was cheaper than the Yuru Camp, though the latter was also still sealed/brand new and is marginally thicker than the Haruhi ones. I wouldn't say there's anything really "special" with them so I'll skip towards the next image.
A bit more going on here, as each book is from a different series. The Uchouten Kazoku setting material book is massive, filled to the brim with all sorts of stuff. Definitely makes me want to get the key animation collections and other art books. Also, finally got the first season board/keyframe collection for UBW (and at a good price!). Been searching for a set for absolutely forever, and only in July of this year was a friend of mine able to find the second season one for me for cheap (they were in Japan on vacation). Then there's the little Love Lab board collection, nothing special. I think the most interesting is the Ground Control To Psychoelectric Girl art book. When I first got it I was worried I'd somehow accidentally purchased a Blu-Ray for the series, but it's just the packaging. The disc shaped thing is pretty cool though, it unfolds to show a bunch of different keyframes/Layouts, a nice touch for sure.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Anyways, moving on we've got another hodgepodge of stuff. We've got another Love Lab art book, an Umaru art book (a shame they only did one for the second season), a Lycoris Recoil setting material collection (despite my issues with the story, the visual work done is solid), and a Kanon art book. No, it's not for the anime, I couldn't find one, but I did find one for the visual novel. It exists on the rarer side of KyoAni's works that are adapted, and one of the three visual novels that they've adapted (all of which were very early on in KyoAni's life). Anyways, I suppose you could say it's... rather different, which is interesting. I always find it intriguing how visual novel adaptations go, in terms of timelines, choosing routes, removing and adding content, and stripping the mature scenes. For that last reason, I'm not going to show any of the art here.
Onto the next batch! This one is very cool, lots of interesting stuff in here. The Madogatari 40th anniversary exhibition art book might just be my favorite in all of the haul. So much art and content from the history of Shaft that you won't find anywhere else. Finally getting to see production material for And Yet The Town Moves is lovely. Similarly, Kaneko Yuuji's art book is incredibly interesting because it shows their process for some of the super awesome concept art for Godzilla Singular Point. While I don't believe the remaining two to be super important in regards to pictures, they're both still very impressive art books. It's been a while since I last watched Log Horizon, but the environment art displayed in its collection is incredibly beautiful, and I mean Fate/Zero, need I say more?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Alright, even more Fate! I've got a lot of art books for the anime, so when I saw a good deal on the box set for the VN art, I knew I had to grab it. It's a shame the box set was only vols 1-3 (plus the character art book), so vols 4 and 5 are sold separately. An incredible treasure trove of content in regards to the series in all kinds of instances and approaches (and of course a fair share of horny). Alongside it, I'm finally making a dent in my Garden of Sinners keyframe collections again. I've know got 3 out of the 8 or 9 volumes available, so at best I'm only a third of the way there. Such a pain to find, but they're surprisingly reasonable in terms of pricing when you do find them.
And last but not least, Shirobako. Even though I got 4 volumes, and even though it was dirt cheap (something like 35CAD for all of them), it's still a drop in the bucket to the amount remaining out there. Anyways, in the image there's the: setting material collection (bottom right), the two keyframe collections for the first season (top and bottom left), and the second mini fan book (top right). A load of content for sure, and lots of great details and whatnot.
Tumblr media
All in all, it's an art book haul that fills a lot of gaps in my collection, in more than a few ways. Getting sets for series that I'm a fan of, rounding out collections for certain studios or series. It gets a lot done, and without entirely breaking the bank (I chose seamail to save a solid chunk on shipping). In the coming days/weeks I'd really like to take a deeper dive into some of the more interesting art books to show what they're all about (for example, Kaneko Yuuji did environment art for Eve Music Videos!), so I'll try to keep my promise on that and show some more interesting stuff.

175+ non-Western literature recommendations to diversify your academia, organized by continent + country
I love world literature, and I’ve been frustrated by the lack of representation of it in literature + academia communities on tumblr, so here are some recommendations. I haven’t read all of these myself yet, but the ones I have are excellent and the ones I haven’t come highly recommended from Goodreads and are on my to-read list!
With the exception of anthologies of older works, all of these books were written before 2000 (some literally thousands of years earlier), since I’m less familiar with super contemporary literature. Also, I only included each writer once, though many of them have multiple amazing books. I’m sure there are plenty of incredible books I’m missing, so please feel free to add on to this list! And countries that aren’t included absolutely have a lot to offer as well--usually, it was just hard to find books available in English translation (which all of the ones below are.)

Ruination Reimagined
It’s been two years since Rise of the Sentinels, one of the most infamous story events in League of Legends history. Every aspect of the story has been broken down, dissected, analyzed and criticized, from its mishandling of iconic characters to the fundamental misunderstanding of its own premise.
Two years have passed, and the world has more-or-less moved on. We all know, understand, and accept that the event sucked, but it’s sadly too late to turn back. For better or for worse, Rise of the Sentinels has impacted the stories of both characters with significant ties to the Shadow Isles plotline as well as those who who were shoehorned into it for the sake of selling skins.
I’ve offered my own take on the story not just once, but twice before; the first was a rewrite of the visual novel’s script with more-or-less the same general restrictions that Riot had (ie one Sentinel/Ruined character per chapter, ten chapters split into 5 parts plus a prologue and epilogue, etc), while the second was an essay about how the story’s scope should have been greatly expanded to include far more characters and affected each region far more significantly... Because, you know, an undead apocalypse isn’t something that should should realistically begin and end in like a week with almost no impact.
Anyways, since that second rewrite, I’d more-or-less moved on. Every now and then I’ve taken the opportunity to dunk on RotS in a video, but never as much more than a gag or to make a point. However... For whatever reason, I’ve recently found myself thinking about the Shadow Isles lately. Maybe it’s because of some new cards added to LoR, maybe because of that Illaoi and Yorick story released a while back. I’m not really sure, but the more I think about it, the more I can’t help but feel like the Shadow Isles, as a whole, deserve a complete and total reboot. Not just a rewrite of Sentinels, but that the whole region and all characters connected to it could be executed so, much better.
I know it’s never going to happen, obviously. I know that many people will probably disagree with that take. That’s fine. Still, I wanna get my ideas out there, if for now other reason than to get them out of my head.
Below is a list of all the changes I would make to the story of the Shadow Isles and its core cast. Some characters I’ve kept more-or-less the same, while others I’ve almost completely re-imagined. Maybe you’ll like some of these changes better than the actual canon, maybe not. I’m not even sure how many will have the time or patience to read through all this, but whatever. Without any further ado, this is how I would reimagine the Ruination:
Fundamental Changes
-In this version, the Black Mist (otherwise known as Harrowed Mist) represents the evils of the human soul, while the Hallowed Mist represents its virtues.
-Those turned by the Black Mist are not technically undead, but rather warped into avatars of their own inner darkness.
-The monks of the Blessed Isles used a secret ritual to siphon the Black Mist (ie the literal evil in their souls) from the Isles’ criminals and sealed it inside a magical lantern, so that even their greatest sinners could find redemption and overcome their darkest urges.
-The Blessed Isles were hidden in the spirit realm, rather than being concealed by a mystical fog. However, they manifest in the physical realm during specific times; while such occurrences seem random, those who are able to learn and predict the pattern may land on the Blessed Isles before they vanish.
-The monks of the Blessed Isles were split into two main groups: the Sentinels of Light and the Order of Dusk. Both groups were devoted to spiritual study and enlightenment, but had different roles.
-The Vesani, a tribe of fox vastaya skilled in the art of manipulating emotions and memories, were crucial members of both groups.
-The Sentinels of Light defended the residents of the isles from those who threatened their way of life, primarily demonic entities. They wielded weapons capable of conjuring spirit light to combat their enemies.
-The Order of Dusk was responsible for purifying the souls of the wicked and laying the dead to rest. They were the keepers of many dangerous artifacts capable of tampering with the spirits of living things.
-Relicstone, originally called Lightstone/Soulstone, has the ability to channel the full power of one’s spirit, not just its virtues or vices. Those who wield it with righteous intent will manifest a golden light, while those who use its power for selfish means will cast a sickly green light.
-Thresh’s sickle and lantern are made from Lightstone.
-The Blade of the Ruined King, originally called The Blade of Kings, was a gift given to the Camavoran royal family long ago by visiting monks of the Blessed Isles. It is imbued with Lightstone, which was meant to serve as a means of testing a future monarch’s heart.
-The Waters of Life are no longer a thing. We literally already have a magical healing oasis in Shurima.
-The Ruination occurs when Viego is tricked into opening the lantern by Thresh. This, in turn, tears open the boundary between realms and causes the Shadow Isles to exist between the physical and spiritual worlds.
-When it becomes evident that their homeland is doomed, some Sentinels choose to flee the Isles with as many of their relics and teachings as they can hold.
-Thresh is the Warden of the Lantern, whose job is specifically to guard the lantern wherein centuries’ worth of evil is sealed. Unbeknownst to anyone, being in its presence for too long has corrupted him, allowing dark thoughts and sadistic tendencies to take hold of his mind.
-The lantern is enchanted so that it cannot be opened with malicious intent.
-Thresh initially just wants to set the evil of the lantern free, but when he sees that Viego has become a vessel for it, Thresh plots to take full control of the power for himself.
-Viego unleashed the Black Mist believing it could revive Isolde, but its corrupting magic could only resurrect Isolde’s inner darkness, creating the Maiden of the Mist.
-Isolde’s actual body remains in the Lantern Chamber.
-Viego is not trapped sleeping in his own sword, but rather was confined to the heart of the Isles by a handful of monks who resisted corruption just long enough to trap him there. He can command the Black Mist and those corrupted by it from afar, but cannot venture far from his confinement. However, the spell holding him periodically weakens, at which point he can expand the Black Mist’s domain, causing Harrowings.
-The Maiden rejects Viego and flees the Isles, returning to Camavor. There, she haunts the war-torn land, contributing to its eventual abandonment. Eventually, though, she comes across her old doll, Gwen, and the fondness for her creation stirs memories of love and joy in the Maiden’s heart. These feelings pass on to the doll, imbuing it with Hallowed Mist that would swell and eventually bring Gwen to life. However, the Maiden is unable to resist the pull of the Black Mist, and finds herself summoned back to the Shadow Isles.
-Gwen comes to life and makes it her mission to save her creator from Viego, no matter how long it may take.
-Realizing that the Maiden is but a perverse corruption of his love, and failing to see the irony, Viego casts her aside. She is eventually found and taken in by Yorick.
-In this version, Yorick’s body is altered by the Black Mist, but he is able to maintain his mind thanks to his discipline and training as a monk, even as others of his order have succumbed.
-Yorick continues to try and help lost souls find rest, though the process is slow and arduous as few willingly accept his aid.
-The remaining Sentinels of Light who fled the Isles devote themselves to opposing the Black Mist and one day purifying their ancient home. Their order slowly expands to every region as Harrowings become an increasingly large threat to the people of Runeterra, but to date, all attempts to storm the Isles and purify them have failed...
-The Reclaimer is a special Relicstone weapon deemed taboo by the Sentinels of Light. It was created by by the Brotherhood of Dusk in secret as a way to revive the dead by stealing a person’s life force and instilling it into the deceased. However, the Reclaimer can only be used so many times. This will be replacing the Absolver.
-The Reclaimer has been a closely-guarded secret of the Sentinels of Light since the Ruination. It has been moved from one hiding place to another across Runeterra. Its last known location was Shurima...
-Vladimir ventured to the Immortal Bastion during Mordekaiser’s reign to seek a means of reviving Isolde, only to be enslaved. Nevertheless, his twisted personality caught Mordekaiser’s attention, and so Vladimir was eventually allowed to start studying blood magic as one of the Iron Revenant’s acolytes. He would later ally with LeBlanc to send Mordekaiser back to the death realm and become a founding member of the Black Rose.
-Rather than seeking the Blessed Isles for him, Kalista is instead devoted to finding the one responsible for Viego’s attempted assassination. As head of the royal guard, she despises any traitors to the crown, and works with Hecarim to put down any and all rebellion. Even so, she harbors reservations about Viego’s ability to rule...
-Kalista accompanies Viego to the Blessed Isles to keep him from harm. However, when Viego escalates to violence against the monks, Kalista tries to dissuade him, insisting that his brother would never go to such extremes. In a sudden outburst, Viego counters that his brother was too soft for the throne, which was why he had the previous king assassinated. This revelation marks Viego as a traitor as well, prompting Kalista and several other soldiers to stand against him in defense of the Blessed Isles.
-Though the Sentinels of Light and the soldiers allying with Kalista fight hard, Viego’s remaining troops and artillery prove to be a match for them. Sensing an opportunity, Thresh tampers with the Sentinels’ defenses as Viego pushes further inland.
-Eventually, Thresh approaches Viego and offers to bring the mad king to the lantern chamber, in exchange for Viego sparing his life. This is, of course, a ploy to get someone else to open the lantern; Thresh believes that, because the mad king is ultimately driven by love and only wants to save his queen, such pure desire will be enough to bypass the lantern’s protection. This assumption proves correct.
-Kalista fights valiantly, but when the Ruination occurs, she is felled by a transformed Hecarim. As her life fades, she feels a burning resentment for Viego and all true betrayers; this hatred is amplified by the Black Mist, allowing Kalista to rise as the Spear of Vengeance.
-Kalista’s obsession with hunting betrayers overwhelms her mind and spirit. In time, she learns to harness the grudges of others as well, though doing so causes Kalista to slowly lose more and more of her own identity. Eventually, she starts roaming the Isles and even the lands beyond in pursuit of traitors, no longer even recalling the true cause for her hatred.
-Vex is no longer gloomy and depressed from the start, but is affected by the Black Mist due to staying on the Shadow Isles for too long; her shadow represents the cheerier personality she keeps locked deep inside of her.
-Karthus’s story remains more-or-less the same, but his obsession with death is changed to an obsession with viewing the darkest desires of humanity.
-Lucian and Senna maintain more-or-less the same backstory, but Senna won’t be revived until much, much later.
-Senna doesn’t have a fragment of Isolde in her this time. She joined the Sentinels because her home was attacked during a Harrowing.
-Akshan was once a young thief devoted to stealing from those who abuse their wealth and power and distributing his ill-gotten goods among the needy. He perished in an ambush set by one greedy aristocrat, but was found and saved by the Reclaimer’s previous keeper: Shadya.
-Shadya recruited Akshan into the Sentinels for his righteous heart. Their story plays out more-or-less the same, up until Akshan learns of the Reclaimer. Believing that such power shouldn’t be kept hidden away, he steals the Reclaimer and starts roaming Shurima, using its power to revive those he believes were wrong murdered.
-Devising a plan to take control of the Black Mist, Thresh manages to completely break the seal holding Viego captive. He informs the Ruined King of the Reclaimer, persuading Viego to trust him once more in the hopes that it will truly be able to revive Isolde’s corpse.
-Rise of the Sentinels becomes a race to find the Reclaimer, rather than a hunt for fetters.
-Lucian encounters Gwen on the Shadow Isles while hunting for Thresh. There, they encounter the Ruined King, who proves too strong for them.
-Lucian and Gwen are forced to retreat and seek out allies, but the Sentinels of Light have waned in numbers since Lucian went rogue. Thus, the two of them must travel around Runeterra seeking allies to stand with them against the Black Mist.
-Viego begins to spread his Black Mist across Runeterra with the help of Vex and her knowledge of Bandle Gates. He seeks the Reclaimer while occasionally corrupting the minds of Champions with excessive negative feelings he can exploit.
-Those recruited into the Sentinels of Light have Relicstone weapons made for them by the order’s Stonecarver, rather than just conveniently having their perfect weapons already made for them.
-The new Sentinels of Light include: Fiora, Quinn, Vayne, Poppy, Garen, Draven, Riven, Samira, Katarina(?), Braum, Olaf, Jayce, Vi, Seraphine, Ziggs, Irelia, Wukong, Shen, Yasuo, Ahri, Miss Fortune, Graves, Illaoi, Diana, Rengar, Sivir, and Akshan.
-Those Ruined by Viego include: Shyvana, Jarvan IV, Darius, Swain (demon goes feral), Ashe, Tryndamere, Viktor, Caitlyn, Akali, Yone (demon goes feral), Gangplank, Twisted Fate(?), Pantheon, Nidalee, and Shadya.
-After Viego is defeated in a duel by Gwen, Thresh steals the weakened king’s soul and seals it in his lantern. This allows him to take control of the Black Mist, and even revert to a more humanoid form if we MUST have Unbound Thresh be a thing.
-Vex goes into hiding after Viego’s defeat, with none knowing her whereabouts...
-Senna is ultimately revived using the last charge of the Reclaimer. If we must insist that she still has Mist powers, perhaps we can say that because her soul was being held captive in Thresh’s lantern, the Reclaimer is only able to bring a part of her back. Senna and Lucian can then dedicate their arc toward recovering the piece of her still bound by Thresh, and Senna struggles to keep her darkness from overwhelming her. This might make for more compelling relationship drama than what the original story gave us.
-Thresh becomes the new Lord of the Isles, with the intent to cover all of Runeterra in Black Mist. To do this, however, he needs to slowly but surely expand the Mist’s territory by adding yet more negative emotions to it. Thresh starts roaming Runeterra to extract as many souls as he can gather, adding their darkness to the Shadow Isles.

Luke, Asmo, and Luci?
Thank you for helping me choose who to write for anon!
(I added Mammon for funsies and bonus of the amount of cold brew I drink via banner)
Giving Them Cold Brew Coffee
Tumblr media
Sure, Demons and Angels know about coffee, some of them even drink it regularly. However, they have yet to be introduced to cold brew coffee. Not a single one of them understands just how much stronger it is.
Luke:
Oh no honey, what is you doin’?
Yes he’s thousands of years old, but you wanna let this sweet child coffee?? Not just any coffee, COLD BREW??
Make sure to add some vanilla and plenty of caramel to make it sweet enough for him to try!
BLEGH!
This is what humans drink??? Or did you get Solomon to make this?
He honestly isn’t sure which answer would be worse.
He very much dislikes it, but tries his absolute best to politely decline.
You can’t really blame him, you didn’t expect him to like it.
But he seemed so excited to see a drink from the human world, he begged to try it.
He definitely drank enough for it to affect him.
Little angel is quite literally bouncing off the walls.
Starts thinking and talking a mile a minute. Wait, you say humans like this, and adults????
Ooh can we make sweets...or uhh...bake something using it??
Contemplates EVERYTHING he could make for Michael and have you be his taste tester for.
Absolutely knocks out in the middle of his baking marathon, good thing you and Barbatos were keeping an eye on him through it all.
Asmo:
Oh darling, he would LOVE to try out your human world cold brew!
Will take it with some lovely latte art and a hint of cinnamon...for the sinner in him *wink*
Let him snap a quick pic for the gram first!
Oh my, MC that IS quite strong coffee!
You see his eyes begin to twinkle with absolute energy and determination.
There were a few shops he wanted to visit today and the caffeine was just the boost he needed.
Asmo went to those shops and a few...hundred more that day.
Had all his purchases delivered to the House of Lamentation within a few hours.
The packages….they just KEEP COMING….there is no end in sight.
He basically has his own personal warehouse of clothing, makeup and accessories in every shade possible.
On the plus side of no longer being able to navigate through the house, he bought you and his brothers some nice clothing.
Lucifer:
Prefers his coffee black, no sugar, no creamer, nothing.
He wants to enjoy the strongest and purest version of the coffee you can offer him.
On his first sip he comments on the aroma and hints of this or that.
Basically attempts to impress you with his ‘wisdom’.
However, within the hour, this demon is zooming through life.
He’s already finished the ridiculous amount of papers Diavolo has set for him to complete.
He’s scolded all his brothers at least twice.
Prevented Beel from raiding the fridge several times,
Even strung up Mammon four times today.
This demon is truly unstoppable now.
Mammon:
Oh ho ho!
You really think a little human world coffee will be strong for The Great Mammon?? Think ag-oh shit!
This man is seeing equations after a few sips.
He COULD use his new found power for good...oh nevermind.
He’s already hauling ass to the closest casino.
Too bad the coffee proves too powerful!
The equations are flying by so fast he’s losing more money than ever before, and quicker!
The amount of money gained from Mammon to the casino leads to them opening a secondary location.
However, they dedicated it to The Great Mammon, so he’s got that going for him right??

Rev Roger Sermon #9: There Are No Bars Or Cages -
Brothers and Sisters, sinners and mutants, freaks and walking glitches, I bid you a good evening. This evening, we are gonna talk about prisons.
Now, there are a few different kinds of prisons...there is The Big House, The Prison of Toil, and The Prison of Your Frickin' Head.
The Big House, as we all know, is the prison they send you to when you get caught breaking one of their rules (Which, as Kafka noted, you can't help doing. The rules are so complex, you WILL break them, every day). We aren't gonna talk too much about this type of prison, because you can see that on any network, though not so much now as the last couple of years...save for this: All of those prison TV shows, "Inside reports", "OZ", "The Big House", ad infinitum, ad nauseum, are there for a reason. The lesson they impart, my friends, is this: If you get out of line, we'll put you in a cell with people like THESE!
The Prison of Toil, however, is a prison they put you into starting at age 5. You are placed in an unnatural state for a juvenile primate; you are forced to wear clothes, sit in an uncomfortable position, and stay still for HOURS while they teach ya the proper art of the Fnords. You are told that you must excel, so you can go to college, where presumably, the Fnords can't get you.
Once you get to college, however, you are told that you must continue to toil, so that you can get a good job... you STILL aren't safe from the Fnords. Then, one day, you graduate to the supposed "real world", where you are told that you must now work hard for your parole at 65... because if you don't the Fnords will make you eat dog-food in your retirement... WHAT A SUPRISE! The Fnords don't eat children, they eat senior citizens. They lied AGAIN! The problem is, even if you DO follow their advice, you are still screwed. By the time you are paroled, you are too old to enjoy it, and just like real prison, most inmates don't LIVE long enough to GET parole. What can you do about this? How can you escape THIS prison, which has no bars (though many inmates DO have cells, or cubes as we call them)? Well first, you have to escape the REAL prison, The Prison of Your Frickin' Head.
The Prison of Your Frickin' Head is the worst jail of all...As G.G. Gordon once said, "Where can you run, where can you hide, when the man in blue is on the INSIDE?" This is the prison from which very few people get out alive. There is NO parole, and you will spend all the days of your life inside it, should you not escape. This is the prison built for you by those around you, wih your willing help. It is done in the following fashion:
1) You are convinced by society that you are not good enough, and that all of your accomplishments so far have been GOOD LUCK. You will be found out for (as RAW said) the "no good shit" you are. The only escape from this is ego-training, or stupidity. Most talented people think, deep down inside, that they are frauds. Most utter fools consider themselves gawdlike. Go figure.
2) You are told by society that they are watching. Just who they are is never made clear; but it IS made clear that they had better not catch you in any funny-business, or you are screwed. (Of course, they are the Fnords)
3) You are taught to "fit in", one way or the other. Either you fit in to the mold the establishment sets up for you, or you rebel...and most rebels tend to fit into one group or another (Goth, Punker, New-age bliss zombie, Discordian, Subgenius, etc)...and if you aren't careful you fall into the conformity of non-conformists. If you don't dress a certain way, or mouth the correct ritual sayings, you are obviously a "normal" or a “greyface"... Despite the fact that the weirdest freaks, the truest Yeti, usually BLEND RIGHT IN!
So what do we do about it? How do we escape? We escape SYSTEMATICALLY. You don't saw each bar a little at a time, you whack each bar out, methodically...thus:
1) For the ingrained failure complex, use ego-training. Not that "I'm good enough, I'm smart enough" affirmation shyt, either. No, you are superior. This is proven by the fact that you even noticed the cage in your head at all! When you look in the mirror, don't THINK there are no flaws, KNOW there are no flaws. When you screw up, screw up catastophically! ROLL IN YOUR MISTAKES! WALLOW IN THEM, AND LEARN FROM THEM. Most "normals" will start wars to avoid admitting they made a mistake. Don't fall into that trap. When you are no longer afraid of mistakes, you will make less of them, and you WON'T CARE about the ones you still DO make.
2) There is no they. You've been lied to, all these years. THERE ARE NO FNORDS! There never have been. The cage is only in your head, there is no warden, and we are all free, should we realize it. It's all a collosal LIE. Now, most people are afraid of freedom. They might make a mistake...for that, see #1. As far as getting caught and going to The Big House, well, if you can't outwit the morons who run the system, then you aren't much of a Yeti after all, are you? LIE to them, SMILE in their face, and KEEP YOUR BOBDAMNED MOUTH SHUT AFTER PRANKS! He who kicks society in the crotch and shuts his mouth, usually lives to kick it again tomorrow.
3) Don't worry about fitting in. Just because you LIKE to dress like a Goth, for example, doesn't make you a conformist...provided that's REALLY why you do it (as opposed to seeking acceptance from Goths). If you say to yourself, "Is my image perfect today", you are probably screwing up. If you say, "Cool" when you look in the mirror, you're probably ok...the best rule is, if you are BEING YOURSELF, don't sweat it.
Or kill me.
[aside: Over the last year over 50,000 deaths were attributable directly to surprise.]

Oh hello!! For the playlist ask game- got any for Sashannarcy?
1) Arms Unfolding - Dodie
yes, these new walls are pretty hard to crack it might take a while until i trust you won't attack oh i apologise, but it was only self defence running away just made sense
I mainly added this song bc of this comic by bellverom!! That art really explains the whole reasoning behind the song better than I could here!
2) I and Love and You - The Avett Brothers
When at first I learned to speak I used all my words to fight With him and her and you and me Ah, but it's just a waste of time Yeah, it's such a waste of time
The plot of this song – someone leaving home/running away to New York – and the tone towards the end both fit the trio really well, especially with the lyrics of the bridge! "Three words that became hard to say / I and love and you" really fits the complexity of their relationship, and overall the lighthearted but bittersweet vibe of the song fits them a lot!
3) What If It Doesn't End Well - Chloe Moriondo
Another year being your best friend Feels like you always knew me And I'm so proud to call you mine Feels like I know you from another life
This is mainly a Sasha POV song in terms of this playlist– the chorus obviously is her doubting Anne and Marcy wanting to still be friends with her post-Amphibia:
What if it doesn't end well Would we still be fine? When the world is over and we go under Would you still be mine?
I see her as being very insecure and remorseful over her past mistakes after the end of the show, manifesting as this self-doubt and her seeing herself as a bad person.
4) Fire On Fire - Sam Smith
Fire on fire would normally kill us But this much desire, together, we’re winners They say that we’re out of control and some say we’re sinners But don’t let them ruin our beautiful rhythms ‘Cause when you unfold me and tell me you love me And look in my eyes You are perfection, my only direction It’s fire on fire, oh It’s fire on fire
All three of them, after Amphibia, having gotten through every challenge and tragedy that came their way, feeling undefeatable, finally able to be themselves.
5) Everything Now - Arcade Fire
Every inch of sky's got a star Every inch of skin's got a scar I guess that you've got everything now Every inch of space in your head Is filled up with the things that you read I guess you've got everything now
Another quite triumphant one for them, like "Fire on Fire": each of the opening verses fits one of the trio particularly well. Also, with "everything" being such a painfully meaningful word to this fandom and it showing up so many times in this song, it really enhances the feeling of them rising above what happening Amphibia through their relationship.

future works
Tumblr media
just some future projects i would really like to do ! even though i have literally zero time since school is about to start but we love overworking!!
i will keep adding to these as i’m constantly getting ideas !!
Tumblr media
1 — the consequences of boredom | lee felix — {m} {c} {f}
summary — you and felix were not suited for the wild chaos of friday night parties and wasting yourself away to strangers. instead, you were suited for spontaneity, wild car rides to nowhere, and each other.
warnings — 1980s! skater boy! felix, reader and felix are basically losers, felix is also a mf stoner, best boy though, a lot of alcohol consumption, swearing, drug usage, unsafe driving, making out, teasing, (kind of) dirty talk, fingering, oral (f. receiving), unprotected sex (stay safe homies!!), orgasming, felix is the softest mf dom, reader is whiny but felix handles is so well, slight bit of fluff, slight bit of angst, and yeh!
expected word count — 5-8k
Tumblr media
2 — 10/10 | bang chan — {m} {f} — DONE !!!
summary — you and bang chan had no secrets between one other. each detail of your life would be discussed with your best friend of forever, no matter how insignificant it may be, through a little system you both had concocted — through a small rating. a number out of ten. a simple concept, used from being a child and rating your cookie a solid eight out of ten to your later years in high school, giving your first kiss a measly five. however, when you confess an average rating of your sex life in one hazy evening, chan decides this dilemma cannot be solved with buying you consolation cookies. he must simply raise that rating, all by himself.
warnings — friends to lovers! au, college! au, music! major chan, music! major reader, you both are literally soulmates, came out the womb holding hands, so much teasing, sexual! tension! so! much! fucking! sexual! tension! chan has a massive fucking cock (i mean isn’t it obvious already), shit loads of making out, aggression, fingering, oral (f. and m. receiving), unprotected sex (stay safe homies!!!), semi-public sex, (kinda) hate sex, orgasming left and right, ex! hyunjin, who’s also really bad at sex lmfaoaoao sorry king, chan is a massive massive massive dom, but there will be soft dom moments, shit ton of fluff, teensy weensy bit of angst, and basically yeh basically me venting out my love for chan once again.
expected word count — 10k +
Tumblr media
3 — forgive me, father | lee felix
— {m} {f}
summary — felix’s only desire was to draw saints, please god and help the sinners of florence. you, on the other hand, only desired the little church boy, painting away in the cold halls of the cathedral. so when you stroll into confession, uttering your pleasured sins to him, blushing felix decides to change you for the better, not knowing he’s being led to a change of his own.
warnings — churchboy! felix, art model! and rich daughter of a lord! reader, set in 15th century florence cause the v i b e s!!! felix is initially a very good boy, hyunjin is his massive fuckboy friend, some fluff, sooooo much dirty talk, oral (m. receiving), kind of sub! felix but gradually gets more confident, reader KNOWS she is sexy as fuck!!! (as y’all should be feeling too 🤬) kind of whiny felix, orgasming, semi-public sex, basically a shitshow
word count — 10-15k
Tumblr media
4 — aboard the han | han jisung — {m} {c}
summary — being on board the ship of the most notorious pirate to sail the seven seas was not necessarily the most ideal situation for you, a mere scullery maid who only wished to escape her dull life. han jisung, the captain of han, has other ideas for you — consisting on making you scrub the decks, make the food, watch his back for traitors all around him. most importantly, though, through indecipherable stares and greedy hands, he wants you by his side.
warnings — carribean pirate! jisung, scullery maid! reader, jisung is such a filthy motherfucker, reader is a massive brat, based around the west indies, will have to include fictional details as there weren’t any koreans lurking in that area, quartermaster! changbin, jisung is a fucking tease, a few slang sprinkled here and there, shit ton of language, sexual innuendo, will see misogynistic attitudes, chan is a villain baby i’m so sorry, jisung is so fucking hot, aggressive as fuck, sexual! tension! making out, fingering, oral (f. receiving) unprotected sex (stay safe homies!!) edging, orgasming, basically this is a shitshow

Need some Death Note fanfic to read while avoiding family, recovering exams/work, or just cause? Here’s everything I wrote in 2020 for Death Note. I’ll be updating this post for 2021 eventually. I organized them by type of work (in-progress fics, finished chaptered fics, tumblr fics, and one-shots).
IN-PROGRESS FICS BEING UPDATED NOW
Tumblr media
Dial K for Kira: Lawlight//Rated E. Summary: Light needs some easy money to finance his Kira plans, and notices there’s a big demand for Kira roleplay phone sex. So he figures, “Why not? Pretty sure I’ll be convincing.” He raises some fast cash and plans to shut the whole thing down and get back to writing names, until he gets a request from somebody who wants to “roleplay” as L.
Tumblr media
Catch Perfect [with @resilicns]: Lawlight/Rated M. Summary: Light’s desk catches on fire during the placement of L’s illegal surveillance cameras in the Yagami household, burning up the Death Note. Light forgets everything, the killings suddenly stop, and Kira fades away from the public consciousness but never from L’s. Six years later, Ryuk returns to Earth with a new Death Note for Light, now an agent in INTERPOL, ready for Round 2. L’s ready too.
Tumblr media
Good Bones [with @main-exam]: Lawlight/Rated E. Summary: Mello and Matt have a seance with a cursed Ouija board but summon a very annoyed Ryuk from the Shinigami Realm into the attic of a gothic mansion. Fast forward a few years and Light Yagami is a realtor in England, vying for the title of Realtor King from the current champ. He's determined to sell this discount mansion with a bad reputation, but just as Light starts to make friends with the mansion's ghost, a ghost-hunting detective gets wind that something spooky is going on.
FINISHED CHAPTERED FICS
Tumblr media
Koi No Yokan [with @ghostoftasslehoff]: Lawlight//Rated E. Light decides to take a little risk and seek a no-strings-attached hookup and gets a surprising (accidental) match. Light and L gradually open up to each other over the course of a night, not knowing who the other is. However, as they go back to their lives in the morning, suspicions take hold and secrets come to light. The chance meeting starts to feel a lot more like fate as L closes in on Kira, and both must decide whether they felt anything real for the other and what that means.
Tumblr media
Lux Aeterna [with @ghostoftasslehoff]: Lawlight//Rated E. Vampire AU. The world’s greatest vampire hunter, L Lawliet, heads to Romania with his mentor Watari to investigate some odd disappearances. Meanwhile, the 400-year-old vampire, Light, has recently awoken from his century-long slumber to find the world has changed, but his thirst for the blood of sinners hasn’t.
Tumblr media
Enemy of My Enemy [with @my-one-true-l]: Light Yagami/Beyond Birthday//Rated T. It’s just another day for To-Oh’s top student Light Yagami, until he runs into a mysterious new student in class who can see Ryuk. Possessiveness and misunderstandings threaten to rock the precarious agreement between Light and L, where each has made dangerous sacrifices to stay together after the end of the Kira case.
Phototaxis: Lawlight//rated G. Summary: L comes over to the Yagami's household for dinner and to work on a project with Light. On the menu are suspicions, ulterior motives, and nobody saying what they mean.
Orbit: Lawlight//Rated T. Summary: Light’s having lunch under the cherry trees with his friends at To-Oh, but L unexpectedly shows up and runs everyone else off but Light. A missing scene, a private conversation with L's 'first friend' and rival under the spring sakura.

Tumblr media
Main Attraction [with @ghostoftasslehoff, with art by @ohgodplsdontlook]: Lawlight//Rated E. Summary: Light invites L to the movies but L expects to be bored since Light picked the flick. Light has a secret plan to make sure that L will be on the ‘edge’ of his seat the whole time-- a toy that L doesn't know is remote-controlled. L finds out the hard way, and at the worst (best) moments.
Obsolete: Ryuk/Light//Rated T. Summary: Light lives all his life in the span of a day, but Ryuk will live that day over an eternity.
Beholder’s Eye: Lawlight//Rated M. Summary: Light's rudely awoken and seemingly kidnapped to face his execution, but all is not what it seems.
Tumblr media
One of a Pair [with @ghostoftasslehoff]: Lawlight//Rated M. Fencing AU. Summary: Light has just quit the To-Oh fencing team and the team Captain, Ryuzaki, will do just about anything to provoke him to come back, including challenging Light to an illegal duel.
Restitution: Lawlight//Rated T. Summary: L tries to pay Light a salary for his work on the Task Force to assuage the prickling of guilt he feels, but that’s not what Light wants.
Kodama [with @ghostoftasslehoff]: Lawlight//Rated T. Summary: Seven years after L’s death, Light feels compelled to visit his grave and take solace under the strange, dead tree nearby. L’s watching from Mu and takes residence in the sacred tree, changing it and Light, who can’t see him.
Still Life: Light/Light//Rated T. Summary: Light stumbles upon a painting that he bears an uncanny resemblance to and discovers a magical secret behind who was cursed to dwell within it for 300 years. It might just be the best luck of his life (or the worst).
Dark Horse [with art by @daathdweller]: Gen fic. Linda left Wammy's House for a brilliant art career, but never forgot how she'd been passed over as one of L's successors. She decides to work in the shadows as the detective L2 when a new Kira appears in 2019, moving fast to tackle the case that the 'official' L seems content to ignore. Roger told her art never helped solve a case, but he was wrong.
Technology Liaison: Light & Ryuk. Light gets curious about what the Death Note is really made of and asks Ryuk. What happens when paper becomes obsolete in the increasingly digital world?
Yosuzume [with art by @ikathemadhatter]: Beyond-centric//Rated T. Summary: Beyond’s shinigami eyes have always set him apart and given him knowledge no human should possess. His obsession with divining and controlling the future has led him to develop his own rituals, which weave themselves into his life and the events of the LABB case.
Names and Distant Things [with art by @ikathemadhatter]: Beyond/L// Rated T. Summary: Beyond knew when L was planning to visit Wammy’s House because a padlock would appear on the second refrigerator in the kitchen. A day or so later, a green Aston Martin would roll up the long, oak-lined driveway in the dead of night, headlights off and practically invisible. Not to Beyond, though; his strange eyes had always seen more than others could-- names and distant things; an antique car in the darkness or the date someone will die.
Copper and Silver: Beyond/L//Rated M. Magician AU. Summary: There had always been two types of magic in the world. One was quite real but elusive, and more of a curse than a blessing on those who could channel it. The other was the magic of mankind-- the sleight of hand or memory trick, the careful distraction or well-placed mirror. It was the business of the famed illusionist Lazarus, also (un)known as L Lawliet, that no one in his audience should ever know the difference.

did NORI DAVIES chase one of seven sins seven miles down the coast? originally from BROOKLYN, NEW YORK, the TWENTY-FIVE YEAR OLD CIS-MALE is a TATTOO ARTIST AT SALT & INK and has lived in the key for TWO YEARS. HE is suppose to call MIDTOWN home, but there is always temptation lurking between the streets and the ocean that keeps HIM from heading back. sinners and saints take many forms, but they look like BOOBOO STEWART and on their way to make decisions, good and bad, they always seem to sway to the beat of PRISONER BY MILEY CYRUS. (blue, she/they, 20, cst)
hi besties ! i’m blue this is my baby nori, if you would like to know more abt him click the read more !
i’m terrible at writing intros/bios so pls bare w/ me kdhkhg
born to parents in the art field (his mom is a painter and his dad is a museum archivist) so he grew up in a very carefree chill home.
his parents were very unconventional sometimes they would take him and his younger sibling out of school for a week to go to some random state for an art show and he loved every minute of it!
growing up in such an artsy home of course made him fell in love with it. he started drawing at age 10 and hasn’t stopped. he draws on literally every and anything he can
the older he got the more free spirited and reckless he became, nori was always graffitiing buildings, skating off of dangerous cliffs, etc you know usual dumb teenager shit. his parents were afraid he was going off in the deep end so starting that summer he was sent off to his grandparents keywest and they put him to work on their boats.
this is where he discovered he was bisexual and had his first love. to nori it was honestly just fun for the summer and after he turned 18 and didn’t have to go anymore he cut ties with them! (wc wink wink)
once nori hit 18 he turned down the reckless behavior a bit but he was still very much a wild card. during this time he decided he wanted to be a tattoo artist he devoted his life to that! most of his tattoos he either drew himself/tatt’d them on himself
he just recently move to key west two years ago but i know hes already stirred up some type of trouble
misc info !
always has a smile on his face! he never lets shit get to him cuz hes trying to live life to the fullest
gets bored of ppl rlly easily its one of his toxic traits unfortunately
is a walking chaotic bisexual trope
very friendly ! he loves to make friends wherever he goes. he def makes everyone friendship bracelets and leaves candy for them whenever he sees them
more will be added as i develop him !!
if you’d like to plot pls like this <3
