Polygons are reduced as much as possible. Textures are no larger than 1024x1024 ( @evilmascotsblog please, those who make conversions, do not upload 2048 textures, it clutters up the game).

Requirements

In order for the face acne to show up, please download Around The Sims 3′s converted acne face overlay here called “ATS3-makeup-TU-acnee-sims4”.

Around The Sims 3 has allowed me to add a modified package file of the acne face overlay to properly enable Adult acne. The package is now included in the zip file with the mod.

Acne System

Sims aged Teen to Adult will have a random chance of getting the new custom Acne Breakout moodlet that applies face acne at 6:00am every day. 

By default Teens have a 20% base chance, Young Adults have a 10% base chance, and Adults have a 5% base chance.

Certain traits can also increase or decrease the chance of a sim getting acne by 5%.

Increased Chance Traits - Slob and Unlucky

Decreased Chance Traits - Neat and Lucky

Pregnant Young Adult and Adult sims have their chance of acne increased by 5%.

Sims will also get the Embarrassed moodlet, unless they have the Brave, Inappropriate, Insane, or Rebellious trait.

Sims with the Diva or Dramatic trait will take a larger hit to their mood when the Acne Breakout moodlet is active (-30 instead of -20).

Occults

Werewolves, Witches, Fairies, Genies, and Mermaids are half as likely to get acne as humans (Teens 10%, Young Adults 5%, and Adults 1%).

Vampires and Plant Sims have no chance of getting acne (vamps because they’re technically dead and plant sims because they’re… you know, plants). Pregnant sims of these occult types do not have their chance of acne increased.

All of these percentages are tunable in the XML file.

Interactions

 - [New] Apply Acne Toner: An interaction at the sink that only appears when a sim has acne, gives sims the custom Feeling Fresh moodlet and reduces the Acne Breakout moodlet by 4 hours. This interaction can only be used once every 6 hours.

- [Additional Feature] Gussy Up: Using the Gussy Up interaction on a mirror has a 5% chance of removing a sim’s acne.

New Moodlets

Acne Breakout: Given when sims get acne, lasts 24 hours, -20 mood

Feeling Fresh: Given when sims use the Apply Acne Toner interaction, lasts 6 hours, +10 mood

Tuning

I wanted to make this mod as flexible as possible, so there are quite a few tunable values listed on the mod page under the spoiler.

Conflicts & Known Issues

This is a new script mod so there shouldn’t be any conflicts.

recommendations for new simmers!!

so, my friend is starting their journey into the world of sims4 cc, and i had an idea to post my recommendations for cc in terms of sims4! 

MAIN MODS:

-basemental drugs (basemental mods) whole life changer

-mc command center (deaderpool) ik everyone talks about it, but theres a million features that can help in all parts of the game

-better exceptions (twistedmexi) helps show which mods may be broken!

-extreme violence (sacrificial) fun for if you want to fight or kill random sims. brutal. 

-dont wash dishes where you angry poop (scumbumbo) tired of sims using bathroom sinks to wash dishes? me too

-relationship and pregnancy overhaul (lumpinou) overhauls the entire pregnancy and relationships in sims

-childbirth (pandasama) literally huge ohmygod, adds actual birth animations, different ways to give birth like homebirth or c-section

CAS:

-stand still in cas (mizoreyukii) keeps your sims standing still in cas instead of the random animations!! game changer

-more cas columns (weerbesu) adds more options for columns, instead of the regular two.

-height slider (luumia) adds different height options for your sims!

-cas background, there are a bunch of different colors and backgrounds!

HAIR creators: 

-daylifesims, makes beautiful hair that looks almost maxis mix!! fav hair creator

-okruee, adds amazing male and female hairs for sims

-the kunstwollen, almost clayified alpha hairs? really cute for my sims

-dogsil, love love LOVE dogsil hairs, they are gorgeous!!

-qicc, great maxis hairs for my townies and family sims

-simmandy, AMAZING

CLOTHING creators:

-klubbsims, current favorite clothing creator, (use the vault for them)

-eunosims, cute jeans + more for my maxis mix players!!

-greenllamas, awesome clothing packs that cover every style. 

-serenity-cc, talented simmer and cc creator, one of my favs. 

PRESET creators: 

-northern siberia winds, they also have fabulous skins

-lutessasims, body and face presets i believe? use them constantly

-elaina, beautiful presets for all type of sims. 

-miiko, the eye presets are beautiful

-peachyfaerie, I think my all time fav preset creator.

I finish my video and upload it to the delight of the advertising company. I can expect a nice payday from them. But I was wrong; even the thought of money doesn’t help my mood. I get up from my computer to use the bathroom, but when I go to wash my hands, the sink practically explodes. Living on a farm has taught me basic handiness skills, so I begin the annoying task of fixing it.

But my thoughts aren’t on the broken sink or the money I’ll earn from my video. I’m thinking about Maia and what her sudden, mysterious illness might be. Right on cue, she enters the bathroom.

Maia: I can’t find Luna anywhere! I think she might have run away.

My first thought is ‘good,’ but saying that would devastate Maia, so I keep it to myself.

Wade: Are you sure she’s not hiding under the bed or standing on the refrigerator again?

Maia: Yeah, I looked everywhere. I posted an alert on the neighborhood site.

Wade: I’m sure she’ll turn up soon.

Maia: I hope so. *pause* I’m going to bathe Hiro and try not to worry.

I wish I could alleviate my worries so easily.
