Snippet of the Hirano sickfic with his parents that i promised and am NOW working on.... along with the Kagi one where he calls Hirano to ask him to come get him.... basically i need motivation and to force myself through his writer's block so, pleasssssseeeeeeeeeeeeeeee halp....
...
“Are you sure you feel okay, sweetheart?”
“Hm. Yeah, sorry… just tired,” Hirano said softly, glancing down at his meal, picking through the contents slowly. He normally loved his mother’s cooking, but right now, right now, Hirano was sure if he put anything else in his stomach, despite the minuscule amounts he’d eaten, he’d vomit. And vomiting wasn’t something he wanted to do – his parents had been looking forward to him visiting, his father taking off work in order to spend time with him; they had plans, things to do… and ruining that by getting sick… well, that would just make the teenager feel like a bad son.
But it was getting harder now. So fucking hard to concentrate, to see the food on the table clearly, or keep his head up. Everything felt way too hot; and even though the 17-year-old planned on excusing himself to turn in earlier for the night to fight off whatever the hell was wrong with him, he was pretty sure he was reaching the point where he’d no longer be able to stand properly. Everything felt like jelly; weak and shaky… his stomach in his throat every time he caught a glimpse of the food in front of him clearly. His head killing him, the bright lights hanging over the table piercing his eyes. Everything was spinning.
Hirano groaned, dropping his head against his hand, closing his eyes briefly as his mother asked him something. Something moved to his right before a firm hand pressed against his cheek, sweeping over his forehead, brushing the bangs away from his face. Hirano groaned again as the cool touch wiped at the dampness across his forehead, and he felt the chopsticks slip through his fingers. He tried opening his eyes again, but the second they met the harsh lights above, the teenager clenched them shut, breathing lowly as someone pulled him back.
“Taiga,” His father’s voice gentle against his ear as more things were shuffled and another hand ghosted across his forehead. His mother’s voice suddenly next to him, her hand running through his hair, “Sweetheart, you’re ill…”
Hirano shook his head slowly, the movement jarring and difficult, as an arm braced behind his shoulders, a hand on his chest, pulling him up slowly. The teenager groaned as everything shifted, “M’f’ne…”
Everything was hot. Nauseating and dizzy. The environment was moving around him behind closed lids, and Hirano forced them open as his father called him again. The moment light touched his eyes, the 17-year-old gagged roughly, having no warning before lurching forward, vomit spewing from his mouth as he struggled to remain upright. Whatever happened next was a giant blur. Nauseating and hot… everything felt wet and gross… and the smell was enough to make him gag.
He wasn’t entirely aware of where he was until his head smacked against his father’s shoulder, a wet rag pressed against his forehead, another on the back of his neck. He felt warm water wash over his back, the smell of soap hitting his nostrils, and the 17-year-old whimpered. Soft fingers running through his hair, more water running across his back, and the sound of his mother humming softly.
A calloused hand removing the rag from his neck before replacing it a minute later, and Hirano opened his eyes slowly as his head was tilted back gently, warm water poured over his hair. He squinted as the bathroom tile met him, bright and painful. He glanced towards his father, leaning over the bathtub… (puking in bathtub.)
“It’s alright, Taiga. It’s alright, son. Your mother and I will clean you up… you’re okay. Just get it up, Tai.”
Tai. A nickname Hirano only heard when his father was worried about him. One that the teenager had come to associate with the idea that something was wrong...
Basically Hirano gets WRECKED, and we learn where Hirano gets his caring side.
Then with Kagi, Kagi gets really ill, and Hirano takes care of his sweet Kouhai... until he takes him to the hospital.... Snippet below:
...Since Kagiura came from a big family, he was probably used to having someone stay or sit with him while sick… Hirano always wanted to be alone when sick, but he never minded if someone was in the same room either. Whenever he felt really bad, he’d fall asleep to his mother holding his hand and stroking his hair or his father rubbing his back softly. But that had only happened a few times, the last being a year ago when he got really ill while visiting his parents over break. They wound up taking him to the hospital, and Hirano’s pretty sure he remembered puking in their car, and his parents bathing him at one point. Not really something the teenager tried to remember given how horrible he felt and how much he scared his parents...
The same feeling washed over Hirano as Kagiura grabbed at his shirt, threading his fingers through the material slowly. The older swallowed, pulling Kagiura closer as the younger groaned, his head smacking against Hirano’s chest.
The same protectiveness Hirano felt earlier. The need to shield him from the bystanders at the station, or the on-lookers on the train, or the people passing by the convenient store… the same feeling now, wanting to hold him close, and protect him from a sickness the older couldn’t prevent or from anyone who might barge into their dorm room. It wasn’t a particularly pleasant feeling, almost like panicked anger… but it wasn’t one Hirano really wanted to go away. Not right now. Not when Kagiura was relying on him in more ways than one...
“You’re rather good at taking care of people it seems, Hirano,”
“Shut up, Hanzawa. Kagiura! I need you to open your eyes and look at me.”
“H’no?”
“Hey, yeah. It’s me.”
“…S’hot…”
“I know. Hanzawa and I are gunna take you to the hospital. Your fever’s really high, Kagi-kun.”
“Such a sweet little nickname-”
“Are you going to help or are you just gunna talk all night? Grab his jacket, will you?”
“Kagi, I’m gunna help you up, okay?”
The younger groaned as Hirano moved his arm around his shoulders gently, pulling him in a sitting position, Kagiura’s head smacking against the older’s chest. He gagged roughly, spit trailing from his mouth along with the pitiful amount of water Hirano had gotten him to drink. (pukes on bedsheets - Hanzawa changes them while they are out).
“You’re okay, Kagi-kun… It’s okay, don’t worry about it.”
(Hirano cleans him up as Kagi clings to him)
Kagi - “…dn’t… feel w-well.”
“I know. When we get to the hospital, you’ll start to feel a lot better, okay? I-I promise, Akira.”

Snippet from Ine the End, I'm Just a Loser...
Tiny snippet as i work on the Kagiura/ Hirano sickfic :)
... flashback thing...
“…anyway, I’m still waiting for Yuki to get back from Sendai. Her family comes back next weekend, so we’ll probably head back to University, maybe, like two days later,” His brother took a slow sip from his drink, holding up two fingers as their mother sat down at the table. Their father nodded, running a hand through his hair as he placed an arm around their mom, “We’re just really happy you and Yuki were able to come home for a few weeks.”
“Yeah, and I finally have a cool sister-in-law instead of these dorks,” His older sister pointed towards his younger sisters as both stuck their tongues out. He smirked, grabbing his chopsticks, thanking his mother for the food before passing the Agadashi towards his youngest sister. The 7-year-old grabbed a piece of tofu, beaming towards him as she continued swinging her legs under the table. Despite being across from him, Kagiura could feel her small feet kicking towards his shins each time… his knee jerking every time her cold toes touched his skin. He glared in her direction as she smirked, trying to reach her leg further so her foot could land on his thigh.
“Akkia-kun, have any plans during the break?”
The 16-year-old glanced towards his mother, shaking his head, “Hm. Not really. Probably practice some.”
“Ugh, Akira,” His older sister groaned, “I swear you’re more into basketball than you are girls. Go out! Live your life! I mean, at this rate, you’ll end up-”
“Like you, Akari?” His brother cut her off as Akari directed her attention towards him, “Please, Akio, the only reason you met Yuki was because you were the dumbass who fell down a flight of stairs, and she had to help you to the nurse.”
“A match made in Heaven,” Akio pretended to swoon, his hand over his heart.
“For the love of everything, don’t get him started on Yuki again!” His 11-year-old sister groaned, putting her head on the table as their father laughed. Kagiura nodded towards his father as he gestured towards the curry. His sister continued, “Oh, Asami, Yuki’s so beautiful. Oh, Asami, Yuki’s the greatest. Oh, Asami, she’s the love of my life… we get it, Akio! You’re in love.”
“Well, sorry for having a heart, Asami.”
Under the table, Aya’s foot connected with the 16-year-old’s shin causing the teenager to slam his knee against the table. He grit his teeth, glaring towards her as she reached for another piece of Agadashi, smirking.
“Dude, if you get any taller, we’re gunna have to stand to eat,” Akio mumbled, glancing towards Kagiura as he straightened his cup. The teenager rolled his eyes before taking a sip from his tea. He sat up straighter, pulling his legs as close as he could, hoping it’d keep them out of the danger zone. He let out a sigh, picking his chopsticks up again as Aya started taking more interest in her food versus his legs. It was his fault really; he’d been the last one to sit down, and everyone knows, loser sits across from the 7-year-old. What a nightmare.
“Have you met anyone as freakishly huge as you?” Akari asked, pulling some green peppers from the curry, moving them towards the side of her plate. She reached for some dumplings as their father cleared his throat, “Come on, he’s not that tall.”
            “You’re kidding, right? He’s a tree.”
The 16-year-old snorted, taking a few bites as his father tried recalling how tall his father and grandfather had been. No one in his family was particularly short, but no one quite reached Kagiura’s height either…
“Okay, fine, Dad. Akira,” Akari cleared her throat, “How tall is your roommate?”
The teenager thought for a second before smirking, “He’s like 175cm, I think… it’s kind of cute.”
            “Cute?”
Kagiura nodded in response, pulling his own peppers from the curry, grimacing as he did so. If Hirano was here, he’d eat them… wait, did Hirano even like peppers? He always took them from the younger’s plate because he knew Kagiura didn’t like them, but…
“Hey, Dad, do you like snow peas?”
His father glanced towards him, an amused look on his face, “Why? Did you bring some?”
Akari and Akio both broke out laughing as Kagiura shook his head, “No. I-I mean, I know Mom doesn’t like them, and you always take hers… so, I just didn’t know if you liked them too, or if you only ate them because she didn’t like them.”
His mother laughed softly, gripping his father’s shoulder as his father smirked, “Uh… I don’t particularly care for them, I guess… but, I eat them so she doesn’t have to.”
His mother poked her husband’s cheek, “I’ll start eating them then, dork.”
“As long as I’m around, my love, you’ll never have to.”
His mother huffed softly before kissing him, “My hero.”
The 16-year-old grinned as his father rolled his eyes, making a face towards his wife before reaching for the gyoza. Kagiura hummed softly to himself as he took a few more bites, and Akio stopped laughing long enough to blurt, “What kind of question was that? I mean, really, Akira?”
The teenager pouted, earning a head shake from his brother before he continued eating.
“I dunno,” Kagiura shoved Akari playfully as his older sister mocked him, “I was just thinking how my roommate eats my green peppers because he knows I don’t like them… and he uses his time to help me study and comes to my games. Sometimes, he even brings me drinks or snacks for after...”
He smirked as he took another bite. His middle sister glanced in his direction, an eyebrow raised as she rested her chin in her hand, “Really?”
“Yeah, and he… makes time to eat with me when I’m sick and wakes me up when I sleep through my alarm,” Kagiura put his chopsticks down as Aya kicked towards him. He reached under the table, grabbing her foot, holding it as the younger struggled.
“I mean, he does all these things… when he doesn’t have to. Even when I’m being a brat. He’s always encouraging me… and when I’ve had a bad day, he just makes everything… better… I guess- I guess I was just wondering if Dad ate snow peas for the same reason, you know? If he ate them because he liked doing those things for Mom...”
Aya yanked her foot from Kagiura’s grasp, and the teenager straightened, wiping his hand on his leg as Akari clicked her tongue. He glanced towards her as she reached for her drink, and their father shifted before grabbing a piece of Agadashi. Across from him, his brother snorted, “Pft, what are you, gay?”
Gay? No. Right? He liked Hirano; hell, he wanted to be more than friends, more than roommates with him! Every time he saw him, he wanted more. He wanted to kiss him, to touch him for longer than 10 seconds, to sleep next to him – every time, more. It was selfish. He was. And now he had a year to try to get that point across to his oblivious crush? But liking Hirano – that didn’t make him… gay, right? He’s never felt that way about any other guy, but then again, he's never felt this way about any girl either…
“Uh… I-I think so. Yeah,” The 16-year-old mumbled; his eyes cast downward as he clenched his hands in his lap. Chopsticks fell against glass as his older sister choked on her tea, quiet filling the air. A shiver ran down the teenager’s spine with each awkward tick from the clock on the wall. Kagiura shifted slightly, glancing up, letting out a slow breath as he realized everyone was staring at him. Beside him, his sister coughed several times before putting the tea down, and the 16-year-old stole a quick glance at his parents.
His father had his eyes narrowed slightly, a look Kagiura knew that meant he was thinking while his mother’s hand still hovered over the gyoza in the middle of the table, frozen. Everyone seemed… frozen, and the teenager swallowed as every second ticked by, every second making him feel more and more uneasy, sick. This was a lot easier in his head. Simpler… fuck.
“You… you’re gay?” His mother asked quietly, her hand slowly dropping down until her chopsticks met the dish’s edge. Kagiura glanced back down at his hands, still clasped in his lap. He felt sick. Like he was going to puke. Wrong. He felt messed up, and he swallowed hard as his breathing picked up. Shit, if this was a bad idea… then. Shit… he felt like crying. The 16-year-old shifted his gaze upward again, meeting his mother’s green eyes. He nodded, “Uh… yeah, maybe…”
Whether or not it was totally true, Kagiura wasn’t really sure. All he knew was he was in love with Hirano… and if that made him gay, if that labelled him… then sure. Not everything needs a label, you know – a sentiment Niibashi had made after Kagiura tried to figure out where he stood as far as romance. Love is love – if you like someone, then you like them. Not everything needs a label… If saying he was gay made it easier, then that was fine. He liked Hirano. No. He loved Hirano, and he wanted to be able to talk about him with his family the same way his brother talked about his wife. It just made sense. So, if this was his way of making that happen, then he’d take it… at least for now.
“Well,” His father cleared his throat after a few minutes, “whoever you date, you better hope he likes basketball, because it’s not like you have anything else going on in that head of yours.”
Kagiura let out a breath as laughter met his ears. He huffed, rolling his eyes as the quiet evaded; the sound of food being passed around and chopsticks against porcelain crushing any lingering panic. He relaxed his hands, taking another breath as his older sister passed him some rice, his mother pointing towards the gyoza again as her eyes wandered around the table. A silent question of who wanted some.
Conversation filled the eating area, his father and mother exchanging soft looks towards each other. To his left, his 11-year-old sister tried to steal a dumpling from his plate, shoving him when he crammed it in his mouth quickly. He made a face towards her, and she shoved him harder. He smirked before glancing down at his plate, a slow frown filling his face as he realized someone had piled peppers on it. The 16-year-old grimaced as he picked one up, glancing towards his right as his older sister avoided his gaze. Across the table his youngest sister and mother started laughing.
Kagiura put the pepper down, looking towards his brother before Akio rolled his eyes and gestured towards his plate. Out of all his family, his father, Akio, and Aya were the only ones who liked peppers… a fact that left the teenager both disturbed and grateful.
His brother pulled a majority of the peppers from the 16-year-old’s plate before glancing towards Kagiura’s right, “Hey, Akari, maybe Akira will get a boyfriend before you.”
Kagiura felt his face blush. He fixed his gaze on the plate in front of him, shoving some rice in his mouth as heat met his cheeks. His sister groaned loudly, punching him in the arm, “I swear to God, Akira – if that happens, I will destroy every single jersey you own!”
The teenager winced, jabbing her with his chopsticks as he jerked his head towards her, “Yeah, well, maybe, if you weren’t so mean...”
A murderous look painted across his sister’s face as Kagiura trailed off. Although Akari was most likely joking, there was always an underlying threat. Unlike his little sisters, his older would follow through… but destroying jerseys… seemed a little unnecessary. After a few moments, she scoffed dramatically before smiling, grabbing several gyoza and dropping them on his plate. Somehow, the smile was more off-putting than the threat.
Asami stabbed him with her elbow, “Akira already has a boyfriend!!”
The teenager coughed harshly, choking on a dumpling as he reached for his drink. He cleared his throat before putting his hands up quickly as his brother laughed.
“What! No, I don’t!”
Akari groaned again, slumping in her chair dramatically as Kagiura shook his head, “I don’t!”
His father raised an eyebrow, his mother smirking towards him as Akari straightened her posture, flipping Akio off as he threw some rice at her. Across the table, Aya started singing loudly, “Aa-kun likes Hirano-san! Aa-kun likes Hirano-san!”
The teenager’s face turned bright red as he tried to scowl towards his sister, throwing an abandoned pepper in her direction, “Shut up!”
The 7-year-old pulled her eyelid down, sticking out her tongue as she continued to sing to the same melody, swinging her legs again. His mother hummed softly as Akio and Akari started arguing, “Hirano… is that the boy you brought to your grandfather’s over the summer? He seemed nice.”
“Yeah, a lot nicer than Akira… and he definitely looked better too!”
Kagiura groaned, covering his face with his hands, “Oh my God, Asami, shut up!”
            “Make me, snow pea!”

thinking of that one official art of shirahama, tashiro, and hanzawa, and how shirahama is described as the "third wheel" in their conversation and how he also has 2 small blush marks when he usually ever blushes when romantic things have come up DONT EVEN SPEAK TO ME ABOUT THE IMPLICATIONS

Thinking about the comparisons between the sasamiya hug and kagihira hug. Both born out of an overwhelming desperation and guilt and. A fascinating difference is sasamiya had that internal dialogue while kagihira was just. Silent. And Remember how the sasamiya hug was Miyano’s oh moment. Remember. Hey guys remember. Guys come back

i've been seeing the tag game where you post the first lines of your fics but i don't have anyone to tag me so! i'm just doing it because i want to (ง ˙ ˘ ˙ )ว ♪ also i'm gonna be including my wips because i haven't published a lot yet (っ'ヮ'c)
1. Proximity Acquired!
Stanley resists the urge to shoot glares at the students staring at him as he waits by the school gates for Senkuu, feeling grumpier after having endured a fourteen-hour flight with incompetent pilots that nearly made him want to leave his seat and fly the plane himself.
2. Perfectly Unromantic
In this stone world where everyone's too busy for romance while they're rebuilding civilization from scratch, Ukyo has always liked Senkuu.
3. My Utter Surrender
Senkuu and Ryuusui started dating a month ago.
4. Improper Reason
"Even if you helped us back in Treasure Island, you still could have had chances to turn on us at some point after that. But you instead decided to be loyal to Senkuu ever since then. Why is that?"
5. First Senkuu/Ryuusui (WIP)
Ryuusui thinks the most exhilarating part of waking up to a completely new Earth and a group of people he's never met before is: their smart and ambitious scientist-chief from the modern world, Senkuu.
6. Saiki/Senkuu (DCST & TDLOSK Crossover WIP)
It's that time of the year: there's a new transfer student.
7. Second Ukyo/Senkuu (WIP)
There's a limit to how much a person can continue to have faith in humanity. If there's a scale of one to Senkuu and Ryuusui, Ukyo thinks he pretty much follows right after them.
8. First Abyss/Mash (Mashle WIP)
When Mash first saw his evil eye, Abyss saw none of the reactions he would normally expect from a person.
6 out of 8 of these are explanations! i didn't realize that's how i often begin stories 🤔 i actually have two other wips that could have made this list a total of 10 like it's supposed to be—one is sai/senkuu and the other is hirano/sasaki—but i feel like i won't be continuing to write those anymore since the motivation's pretty much gone now and especially when i'm literally the only audience for them so (・・;)ゞ

In the End, I'm Still a Loser (Snippet)
Basically holding myself accountable for doing some writing after a year and a half of silence. This is a sickfic with Kagi getting wrecked - it's definitely still in progress and rough so fyi (im sorry); im also working on that Hirano sickfic with his parents (there's this fight scene that im just *chef's kiss*). Anyway... please give me motivation Writing Gods!!
......
If Kagiura were being honest, he knew he should have taken Hirano’s advice this morning and stayed at the dorms… but their first game was in two weeks, and given the teenager had just made Starter, Kagiura didn’t want to ruin his chances the rest of the season by missing practice. He should have seen it coming, really. After all, he’d exhausted himself over the last few weeks with cramming, practice, and stressing over what would happen if he wasn’t roommates with Hirano the following term. The temperature change, going from hot to freezing, hadn’t helped anything either… thus, the ever-knowing fact, blessed by big tonsils, that Kagiura got sick easily.
So, the cough that slowly built until he sounded like he smoked and the sore throat that hurt every time he swallowed, wasn’t surprising. The headache, fever and nausea, was. And then this morning, he just had to go and prove he was okay, to a roommate who seemed to know everything, and drag himself out of bed.
Morning practice wasn’t as bad as Kagiura originally thought it’d be. The brisk air felt nice against his skin as they were forced to run laps in order to “wake up” for the practice game later. And with running, Kagiura could pretty much zone out and daydream. So, morning practice wasn’t bad. Running into Hirano several times in the hallway, dodging the older’s concerned glances, wasn’t bad. Hell, even classes weren’t that bad… despite the fact that Niibashi harassed him to see the nurse, and the 16-year-old fell asleep during two separate lectures. The practice game after school, however, took a severe left turn.
Kagiura had done well for the first 15 minutes… but as it turned out, 15 minutes was all his body was willing to give. He started stumbling, throwing crappy passes, wincing every time someone yelled too loud or feeling nauseous every time someone shoved into him. Even worse, he started missing shots. His teammates kept giving him weird looks, but it wasn’t until he tripped over his own two feet, slamming into the pole when someone accidentally nudged him too hard, that the Coach pulled him out and demanded he run laps the rest of the game. It was humiliating, and if anyone had any doubts about Kagiura being selected as a Starter for the upcoming game; the teenager had sure as hell fanned the flames, so to speak.
By the time the game was called, it’d started raining, and the 16-year-old was pretty sure he was going in for a rough night. His headache had traveled across his nose and cheekbones, making the nausea and lightheadedness worse. His throat hurt to swallow, let alone, talk, and despite being an athlete, he was out of breath – which only brought about further coughing. And to top it all off, Kagiura was pretty sure he had a fucking fever because he felt hot and sweaty despite the cold air surrounding him. All-in-all, he really should have taken Hirano’s advice.
The 16-year-old groaned as he glanced up slowly as the Announcer called the next train. He really wanted to get back to the dorms and sleep off whatever the hell was wrong with him… and if any luck, he’ll feel better tomorrow – and maybe listen to Hirano this time and skip school. It was a simple enough task, getting back to the dorms. But the rain and freezing cold had made it harder, and the dizziness that faded in and out every couple of minutes, sickening. Passing out or puking again would make venturing back to the dorms so much more difficult.
Walking up the stairs to the station fucking sucked, and Kagiura still had another 15 minutes of walking before he reached the dorms. What a pain. The teenager swallowed, running hand through his sweaty hair before standing as a train approached. He stumbled slightly, closing his eyes as the it sped past before sitting back down slowly. The station tipped, and the 16-year-old pressed his forehead against his folded forearms, waiting for the dizziness to subside. Shit. He couldn’t even watch the train go by without getting dizzy. Was that even his train? What station was he even at anyway?
He took a deep breath, coughing several times into the sleeve of his coat as he heard the train leave. This really sucked. He hadn’t felt this bad earlier; sure, he felt sick, but it wasn’t this bad… then again, he had pushed himself through the day, not to mention the last few weeks because he didn’t want a new roommate. He wanted another year, one more year, with Hirano, as his roommate. One more year to convince Hirano that the teenager loved him, that they could date. One more year for the 16-year-old to get the older to fall in love with him. One more year for Hirano to think about Kagiura’s confession. One more year. That’s all he needed; that’s all he wanted. One more year with Hirano. How selfish…
Kagiura flinched as his phone vibrated in his pocket, swallowing lightly as he pulled the device, smiling softly as his roommate’s name flashed across the screen. Despite how shitty he felt right now, the older always made it better. He always made the younger happy, even seeing him, even saying his name… made everything better.
            “H-hello?”
The 16-year-old grimaced as his voice came out gruff and hoarse. He could barely freaking talk and the damn cough drops he’d been going through the last couple of days had done nothing. He cleared his throat carefully, resisting the urge to cough as Hirano’s voice bled through the speaker, “Kagiura! Where the hell are you? It’s almost curfew!”
            “What? I-”
Kagiura glanced up quickly, pulling the phone away as he coughed several times before scrubbing at his eyes as he waited for his vision to clear. Almost curfew!? He’d closed his eyes for a few minutes, sure… but hours? The teenager groaned loudly as he glanced at the clock on the wall. Fuck. Hirano was right, it was almost curfew. Kagiura had fallen asleep at the freaking station. Which station again?
            “Kagiura?”
The 16-year-old jerked his head towards the phone again, trying to clear his throat as a shiver ran through him. Thunder clapped outside, and Kagiura glanced down at his shoes, scuff marks tearing across once white shoes. He still felt like shit, and sleeping had done nothing to ease his headache or stomach…
            “Are you okay?
Kagiura winced as Hirano’s met him, low and soft… gentle. It was comforting really. And the teenager wanted nothing but to crawl into that comfort right now… to be surrounded by it. He paused momentarily, sneezing, before inhaling slowly, “H-Hirano?”
“Kagiura, what’s wrong? Your voice is rough as hell. You okay?”
All that concern. All that worry. It was overwhelming. It was familiar, warm and safe… and it made Kagiura’s heart race. He drew in another slow breath, his voice cracking halfway through, “Hirano… could you come get me? I-I mean, walk back to the- the dorms with me?”
Silence filled the other end, and the teenager scrubbed his eyes again, realizing tears were forming. God, he was fucking exhausted. He felt miserable… and to make matters worse, he was getting emotional. He always got emotional when he was overly tired. Kagiura already had a hard time getting Hirano to see him as his equal, and now, now he was going to see the 16-year-old as a child again – all Kagiura’s hard work undone by some stupid illness.
            “Where are you, Kagi-kun?”
Kagi-kun. The familiar nickname the younger had come to love. The nickname reserved for Hirano’s lips only… one that made the younger special to the 17-year-old. One that almost claimed him. Kagiura wiped his face again as he kept his gaze down, his head resting against his forearm again as a train came to a loud halt and noisy passengers exited.
“The station,” the teenager coughed in his elbow again before clearing his throat as Hirano sighed, “Okay… I need more information, idiot. Which station?”
The Announcer blared overhead as the doors on the train closed, the lights flickering as rain started pelting against the windows. Kagiura glanced up, meeting several pairs of passing strangers, each giving him a worried look. Shit. Did he really look that bad? His face was probably red from leaning down, and he was definitely sweating… he probably still had tears in his eyes so that most likely didn’t help. He was a mess… Hirano was going to see him… like… this…
            “Hirano, actually, I-”
The Announcer blared over the speaker as the train left slowly, and Kagiura turned his attention back towards the phone as Hirano called his name, “Nevermind, Kagiura, I heard. I’ll be there in a few minutes, okay?”

This account was set up quite recently; and about a week ago, I'd decided that I'll be more active on here to pass the time, so if there's any fanfic oneshot requests regarding the following fandoms (KnB, Free!, Fruits Basket, Horimiya, sometimes VLD, Sasaki and Miyano, and Hirano and Kagiura), reach out, and I'll do my best to fulfill the request, mainly since my writer's block has been nearly incurable these past couple weeks—😂
