cling to me
I know I said I was going to distance myself from this piece of media because of all of its terrible connections, but these two characters seem to have taken root in a permanent place in my heart, and I can't let them go.
Anyway, here's some character design notes below the cut for the one person out there who's obsessed with these characters as much as me.
Early DSMP: the era of childhood innocence
Bandanas: They sport each other’s bandana’s (they’re hidden in the design for every era). I love character designs with complementary colors (and I love how red and green are also cranboo’s colors)
Disks: Early on, cat and mellohi represent the peaceful moments ctommy shared with his favorite people, but they went on to be a symbol of victory and independence from the people who have hurt him.
Flowers: Ctubbo collects flowers and tries to memorize the meanings and symbolism tied to each type of flower. He also collects them for his bees.
L’manberg: the era where children became soldiers
Horns: Ctubbo’s horns start to grow in here.
Pogtopia: the era of an exile and a secretary of state / spy
You can tell I joined the fandom at the end of this era because I don’t have many notes here or for the l’manberg era.
Exile: the era of an exile once again and and a president too young
Hair: Ctommy’s hair starts to grow longer as he neglects taking care of himself.
Clothes: Ctommy’s clothes are tattered; one shoe is destroyed and he took to wearing cw-lbur’s (f-ck ccw-lbur btw!!) trench coat.
Bandages: Ctubbo’s wrapped in bandages from his recently earned firework burns. He’s gone blind in his right eye, and he’s missing the ring and pinkie finger on his right hand.
Compasses: They share their matching ‘your tommy’ and ‘your tubbo’ compasses
Hog Hunt: the era where one sought to kill the blood god while the other sought refuge there
Stolen goods: Ctommy’s has his antarctic empire outfit plus all the goods he stole from ctechno like the turtle helmet, golden apples, and the axe of peace.
Bedrock: Ctommy wears his counterpart piece matching techno’s from his ear.
Prosthetic: Ctommy’s right foot had to be amputated after he loses it to frostbite in the trek to cemeraldduo’s cabin. Ctechno gives him a simple prosthetic.
Disc Finale: the era of mended relationships and a final stand
Headband: Ctommy begins to wear a devil headband to fit in more, as he’s one of the few humans on the server. The devil horns were chosen to resemble ceryn’s real ones.
Patchwork: Ctommy learns to sew, and he fixes his tattered clothes from exile.
Post Revival:
Devil horns: Ctommy’s devil horns (plus a tail) become real after revival, and he gets a white streak in his hair.
Prime cross: The bad things that have happened to them both that they survived strengthen ctommy’s faith in prime, whereas they weaken ctubbo’s faith.
Sweater: Ctommy makes himself a sweater from friend’s wool.
Mechanical inventions: Ctubbo pursues his passion for engineering more as he makes mechanical bee drones and studies nuclear physics. He also makes himself prosthetic fingers, and he upgrades ctommy’s prosthetic foot.
Marriage ring: Ctubbo marries cranboo platonically and wears the ring on his horn. He also founds snowchester so he can have a place to protect his loved ones and raise his son. He grows out his hair to avoid eye contact for cranboo and to cover his scars.
Body type: Ctubbo gets chubbier and gains some muscle as he gets a bit happier in life.
Post DSMP:
The prison break and everything after it never happened. These are my OCs, and I make the rules because every actor/writer who played a part in their creation either abandoned them or turned out to be a terrible person. Cbenchtrio live happily ever after and begin their journey of healing while cdream rots in prison forever.

Eddie Munson x fem!reader [1.2K]
Written for @carolmunson’s writing challenge. Feel free to join in, you can find the rules here 🧡 everyone say thank you to Carol for taking the time to create something so cute.
“If you don’t stop, we’re gonna have a problem, sweetheart.”
Eddie was grumbling, but it was all affection and barely any real scolding in his voice. It’s why you laughed, a dirty cackle that only came out when you were properly tipsy and you continued your harassment as the boy juggled the his keys and your wobbling frame.
You were still snickering, nuzzling at the boy’s neck, your hands slipping up the inside of his leather jacket and t-shirt. You were bolder after a few drinks, tongue tasting like cranberry and something stronger, tequila shots that Robin brought to the table going down like water and Eddie had declared it was home time when you draped yourself in his lap, glassy eyes on his lips as he tried to talk to Steve.
“You normally - oops - like it, oh fuck, when I touch you,” you bashed your shoulder on the doorframe when Eddie finally managed to coax you inside, your hands still vying for his attention.
Eddie was pink in the cheeks, unused to seeing you like this, the relationship still new, your affection still overwhelming at times. You were a cute drunk, tipsy and hiccuping as you let yourself flop onto his sofa, mumbling something into the cushions. He followed, leather jacket throw on the armchair and he bent, untying your shoes and smiling when you hummed, your toes wiggling in your socks and he pretended to bite at them, snickering when you squeaked.
The trailer was lit by just the streetlights, the rest of the park and the town asleep, quiet in the darkness. Eddie seemed to make the navy shadows a little brighter through, everything about his brash and intimidating exterior melting away to a soft gentleness, just for you.
“C’mon, sit up for me, babe,” Eddie coaxed, pulling at your wrists until he was able to manhandled you into the sofa corner. “M’gonna get you some water and then we’re going to bed, alright?”
“Yessir,” you slurred but the salacious intent was there, all flirt as you tried to wink but one eye simply wouldn’t cooperate.
“You’re jokes, tonight, kid,” Eddie snorted and busied himself in the kitchen, heart overflowing with affection for you, a kind of fondness that clung to the spaces between his ribs and it was times like these he wondered how on earth the town pariah managed to bag a girl like you.
“Here,” he murmured as he walked back over. “We ran out of like, nice cups, is this okay?” Eddie handed you a mug in the shape of some sort of creature.
If you’d been more sober, you would’ve thought it was some sort of demonic Bigfoot, but you were too busy eying at spikes that protruded from the rim of the mug. You glanced back at Eddie warily, accepting his offer with a grimace.
“Watch for the horns,” he whispered when your tooth clinked against one. You groaned, flipping him off as you chugged most of the water, eyes slipping shut and Eddie’s hand found the back of your head before you tipped yourself backwards too much. “Jesus, sweetheart, don’t drown yourself.”
“Sounds like an easier way to go than how m’gonna feel in the morning,” you groaned, already feeling sorry for yourself. The third shot of tequila was a horrible, terrible idea. You vaguely remembered Eddie wincing at you from across the table as you knocked it back. You held the evil Bigfoot mug to your chest and waved him away, almost as dramatic as Eddie himself. “Jus’ leave me here to rot.”
“Aw, don’t be like that,” the boy pouted, hiding his grin behind pursed lips. He was kneeling in front of you again, warm wide hands running the lengths of your thighs and the guitar string callouses on his fingers scratched against your skin just right. “Don’t rot here. S’an awful place to deteriorate. You can rot in bed w’me.”
“Can’t,” you told him mournfully, your empty mug slipping onto the cushions as you let yourself lean forward, face finding Eddie’s neck. He smelled like smoke and spice and the cologne you’d got him for Valentine’s Day. “I’ll be a pile of sludge. Sludge and tequila. So disgusting.”
Eddie snorted, throughly entertained at someone else being dramatic for once. His hands made their way from your legs to your back, slipping nimble fingers inside your T-shirt so he could skate them along your spine. If he hadn’t know any better, he would’ve sworn you purred.
“Hey now, that’s not even close to being true,” he tsked, nudging your head with his until you whined and pulled back, facing him with a pout. He pushed his nose against your own. “My girlfriend is the prettiest pile of sludge.”
It was still new enough that you both got a kick out of him calling you his girlfriend, your body buzzing with a giddy kind of excitement that made your nose crinkle when you beamed at him.
Your forehead touched his, Eddie’s unruly curls brushing your cheeks and his fingers dipped lower, pressing into the dimples on your back and he held you there, fully encouraging whatever it was you were about to do.
Your lips brushed his, a barely there kiss that probably tasted like tequila and cherry liqueur but you were too drunk to care and Eddie really didn’t mind at all.
“You think I’m the prettiest?” You whispered.
“Damn right,” Eddie nodded, his voice laced with stern fondness and he grinned when you smiled even wider. “All the other piles of sludge don’t know what to do with themselves when you’re around.”
It made you laugh, a hiccuping thing that had Eddie kissing at your cheek, the corner of your mouth and the tip of your nose. It was overwhelming, to be doted on like this - your cheeks warm and the alcohol making you softer and sleepier, Eddie’s big hands the only thing keeping you upright.
“You’re so funny,” you mumbled through a yawn, falling forward again to bury yourself into him.
“The funniest,” Eddie agreed mildly, because he was already coaxing you into standing up with him, your socked feet standing on his boots as you swayed. “C’mon, bedtime.”
“You forgot bad day Bigfoot,” you mumbled, pointing back at your empty mug. “He needs to come too.” You lifted the throw pillow that Wayne had once tried to cross-stitch a dirty joke onto, holding it close to your side like some kind of teddy.
One look at your frown told Eddie you weren’t joking, so with raised brows, he grabbed the offending cup and held him in front of you. “He needs to come to bed with us? And the dick pillow?”
An array of different sizes and colours of badly stitched penises glared back at him from under your arm and Eddie raised his brows at you, unsure.
You nodded, already shuffling off into the direction of his bedroom where he knew you’d ransack his drawers for just the right shirt to sleep in. “S’only polite,” you told him.
You couldn’t see Eddie’s responding grin but he filled the mug back up with water before trailing after you. “Alright, but if he starts gettin’ handsy, he’s out.” He caught up with you just as you flopped into his unmade bed, burying your face into the sheets with a hum. “You’re my pile of sludge, remember?”
From beneath Wayne’s pillow, your hand shot out, a thumbs up offered as a sign of agreement and Eddie scoffed as he bit at the digit playfully.
“Fuck yeah, m’your pile of sludge,” was his answer.

It was a Thursday evening, heralding the arrival of winter. It was raining as if it enjoyed making people experience its cold and gloomy spirit. Puddles had turned into lakes, people had opened their umbrellas to avoid getting wet, and those who were unaware of the weather warnings had taken shelter in their coats and bags for protection. Everyone was in a rush. Their steps were fast, their movements were hurried. But fate had no mercy on their pitiful state. As if it enjoyed people's helplessness, it made everything worse. Traffic jams, accidents, people cursing because they couldn't get to where they needed to be... All of these were like a hag blocking the magnificence of the night.
Joel was the only one who submitted to fate that night. He had stuffed his hands into the pockets of his coat to protect himself from the biting cold, and had pulled the collar up and zipped it up to the tip of his nose so that the steam trapped behind the fabric could warm his lips and cheeks, which had become numb by the cold.
He had chosen another way to get home. Since his daughter Sarah was staying over at his uncle’s house, he could forget about responsibilities. He wanted to walk for a long time, all by himself. When he entered a street with broken lights, instead of the angry sounds of the city, the sound of rain hitting the concrete echoed in his ears. He was walking between apartment walls which plaster was cracked and bricks were visible. Dogs and rats hid in spray-painted garbage containers or in cardboard boxes thrown next to the containers. As the wind blew hard, the expired concert posters hanging on the wall could no longer hold on and were flying in the air. Joel’s boots were completely soaked. If he walked any further down the alley, his shoes would slowly start to absorb water.
But Joel’s past kept coming back to him. Every memory was harassing him, coming back to him and making him feel hopeless. The best thing that had ever happened to him in his life was his daughter. She was his luck. When the woman he loved left them, he hoped for a connection with his daughter. But now the feelings he had escaped from years ago were grabbing Joel’s arm and dragging him into the darkness. Still, the city sounds he had complained about a moment ago had given him a chance to distract himself. He had finally left the street and was walking along the sidewalk. Thinking it was time to go home, he looked at his wristwatch, but it wasn’t working. He waited for the green light at the corner of the sidewalk to cross the street. At that moment, he felt movement next to him. Taking advantage of the rain stopping, the old man was smoking a cigarette. He lifted his head slightly, freed his mouth from his coat, and called out to the man.
"Excuse me."
The man looked at him smugly.
"Can you tell me the time? Mine isn't working."
Without taking his eyes off Joel, the man took draws at cigarette , then tugged at the cuff of his jacket and glanced at the clock.
"11.00"
Joel thanked the sullen oldster anyway and wished him good night as he crossed the street after the light turned green.
He was walking on the bridge. Now there was no sound of an engine or a horn coming from a single place. Suddenly he felt like the city was going to swallow him and lifted his bowed head up, taking a deep breath. He saw a woman standing behind the banisters, watching the city view. His slow steps slowed down even more after seeing the woman and finally stopped. Unlike people, she had not escaped from the rain. Her hair that reached down to her shoulders was soaked, the strands of his hair stuck together. She had obviously experienced bigger things that was afraid of neither getting cold nor getting wet. She was wearing a denim jacket that would wear on a spring day, a pair of thin cotton sweatpants underneath, and a scarf wrapped awkwardly around his neck. The girl's body was shaking from the cold, but she didn't seem to feel it. As Joel moved closer to her, he realized she was crying. He wondered what she was thinking as he held on to the banister. Whatever her problem was, Joel wasn't going to leave her there alone. When he gently grabbed the woman's shoulder, she flinched in fear and looked at Joel.
"Madam, you shouldn't be here at this time of day in this weather. You'll catch a cold."
When the woman looked at him, he realized that she was tired of crying for a long time who stared at him blankly, not seeming to be afraid of the large man who had approached her.
"I'm sure, not where I'm supposed to be." she said and continued to look at the view. The girl's mysterious answer caught Joel's attention. Her hysterical look stood out to him. He felt that if they could combine these two unlucky worlds and be happy, they would understand each other.
He subconsciously wanted to show the girl that they were made for each other and imitated her and started looking at the view.
"You know, you're not the only one crushed under the chaotic progress of the city tonight." He said as she continued to look at the view, as if she didn't care what he said. "The only reason I live in this life is my daughter."
But she was not what she seemed, replied in a tone so weak that it was almost inaudible.
"Look, you see? One of us is much luckier." said her voice ready to cry.
Joel felt the girl's answer deep in his heart.
He turned her face and looked at her carefully. "Do you think you don't have this chance?" he thought as asked the question, that such a pure beauty shouldn't be this upset. This was unfair. Her cheeks shouldn't be stained with mascara that flowed with tears, her lips that were chapped from the tension of crying should be kissed by a man who loved her and made her smile.
As soon as the girl heard Joel's question, she turned towards him with her body. Although she pressed her lips together to keep from crying, her trembling chin gave herself away. She looked into Joel's eyes with pain until she swallowed her sobs. Even a little afraid. Her fear was trapped in the cruel arms of loneliness.
"What do you know about me that you can say such a thing?"
Joel nodded and replied, "You're right. I don't know you. But I'm looking into the eyes of a little girl who is tired of embracing her loneliness."
The girl let out a deep breath as she smiled faintly, as if relieved, and turned her head back to the view, breaking eye contact.
Joel patted the girl’s arm through the wet denim jacket. “It’s no coincidence that we met here tonight. Don't you really realize this?”
She frowned, her face contorted as if she were in pain, and she began to cry with all her might. Her sobs made it difficult for her to breathe and to utter the words she was trying to say.
"I'm so tired. There's no hope for me anymore."
If they had met at another time and under different circumstances, Joel was sure that he would have done everything in his power to prevent the young woman from becoming like this. The woman who had a beauty that would have been mentioned among the goddesses in ancient times was now nothing more than a slave trying to please despair and sadness. Only Joel's love could raise the girl's soul to enlightenment. He approached her softly and wrapped his arms around her body, holding her between his own.
"Shhh... I promise you," he said, his fingers caressing her hair tenderly. He pressed her head to his left breast. "Everything you've been through will be left behind."
The girl had lost so much faith that her long loneliness would ever end that when Joel embraced her with fatherly affection, her hysterical weeping flared up and she clung to him as sacredly as a little girl clings to her father. They stayed like that for a while, but she was shivering under his arms from the cold. Joel gently grabbed her arms around her waist and pulled them away from him.
Without thinking, Joel unzipped his coat, took it off, and draped it over the shoulders of the woman whose lips were purple from the cold. Her skinny body was lost in his coat. Joel stood next to her and lifted one arm up and wrapped it around her shoulder so that her body was now warmly pressed between his arm and chest and they started walking.
"Is your house near here?" he asked at first, but there was no answer from her. "I can't leave you alone in the middle of the night. If you tell me where you live, I'll take you there and you'll be safe."
She continued to cry. As they walked down the stairs, Joel tried to calm her down and told her not to cry, but she continued to cry as if she didn't hear him. As they walked down the steps, the girl sometimes talked to herself. Since Joel couldn't hear what she was saying, she couldn't get an answer when he asked what was wrong, but he didn't forget to hug her despite everything.
"You're not answering my questions. We can't stay out much longer, do you hear me? Or you'll get sick." Again there was no response from the girl. "Then I'll take you my home. At least you'll be warm and safe until morning."
"My God, what have you been through until get to this point?"
Joel's house was far away, and when they were halfway there, the woman's steps slowed down considerably. She had no strength left to walk, had already been tired both mentally and physically all day. She could not stand it any longer and told Joel in a pleading tone that she could not go any further. "Can't we stop for a while? Sit on a bench."
Joel looked around but saw that there were no benches. There was nowhere for them to sit and the girl was exhausted. He thought. It was late enough that taxis weren't going to pass very often on the road they were walking on. Joel looked for another solution. Maybe he could wait for the taxi to come, but he was suspicious of you.
"Hang on, honey. We've got ten minutes left," Joel said warmly. Then he placed one arm around her back and the other under legs, lifting her off the ground.
She put her hands around his neck. It was the closest them had been since they met. Their faces were inches apart, he could easily see your eyes, lips, nose, and eyebrows. He had never seen such beauty before. Neither sadness nor grief could hide the girl's beauty. He watched her face carefully to memorize every detail.
The girl's expression changed for a moment. She was crying silently. As if she was afraid he would notice. Joel wondered what was going on in her mind. She must have been in a lot of pain. He increased the strength in his arms and applied pressure to her back, then he brought her face closer to his and kissed her forehead in a sweet, innocent way.
"Okay, little lady, cry if it makes you feel better. I'm here for you, you're not alone, don't worry.
Joel felt tired after a few minutes. The night was cold, but his tiredness left him drenched in sweat. It became difficult to regulate his breathing rhythms. He thought he could have carried it more easily if it had been ten years ago, but he tried not to reflect his tiredness on the girl. He didn't want her to think she had left him in a difficult situation.
When they got home, Joel called out to her. "We're finally here. You can get off my lap." She nodded and got off his lap, looking around. It seemed like a quiet, friendly neighborhood. Considering the apartment building where she lived had a lot of drunken singing, prostitutes laughing, and a daily burglary, this was the kind of neighborhood she'd dreamed of. For the first time since they'd met, they started a topic of conversation. "It must be nice to live in a detached house."
Joel was also surprised, but his surprise turned to happiness. He smiled as he unlocked the door and looked at the young woman. "And we have friendly neighbors. I'm sure you'd love it here."
The young woman merely smiled mousy. As he returned his smile, Joel walked in, and so did the girl. But she was a little shy. Joel took her coat off of himself, hung it on the dresser, and turned to her as he walked inside.
"Hey, you can imagine this your home. Don't ask for permission for anything." The girl nodded and started following Joel. They were taking a little tour in the house. It was like she was going to live in this house now.
The man had already accepted her. He turned to the girl and put his hand on her waist and pulled her to his side so that she would not stand far away. "This is the living room, there is the kitchen over there. After you shower, your food will be ready, we will eat it here, you must be hungry." She could tell by her look how hungry she was.
He smiled and looked at her clothes with displeasure. "We can pick out some clothes that are too big for Sarah. Your clothes will be dry until morning."
The young woman watched the man as he climbed the stairs. He selected a new bathrobe and towel from the linen closet. She continued to watch him as he walked down the hall to the bathroom. As he talked about what she was going to do, she realized that good men could exist beyond fairy tales, and she reveled in that.
"Why are you helping me, someone you don't even know?"
The question was one Joel hadn’t expected. His movements slowed thoughtfully as he dropped the towels onto the chair next to the tub. “I told you. Nothing that happened tonight was by chance.” He straightened up and moved closer to her. “This was meant to happen,” he paused, his eyes fixated on the wall. “Besides, I was serious about you not being alone tonight.”
She didn't know what else to say to him other than 'thank you' as he left her alone in the bathroom to shower.
Joel went down to the kitchen and got the ingredients out of the refrigerator to prepare food and then got to work. He laughed to himself as he remembered the memory that came to his mind while chopping tomatoes on the board. Tommy's girlfriend, whom he had broken up with a week ago, was a strange woman. She was very interested in fortune telling and everyone believed in these ridiculous, made-up prophecies. When Joel invited them to a barbecue party one night and Tommy said that he had definite ideas about fortune telling, the woman insisted on telling him fortune. No matter how angry Joel was, Sarah and he managed to convince him in the end.
Tommy's ex ran over and brought the cards who spread them out on the table. Thus began the cartomancy nonsense. Joel chose the queen of hearts. Warmth, compassion, healing, unconditional love. Sooner or later, her lover's brother would meet a woman with whom he would have a healthy and balanced relationship. They would find in each other everything they lacked, and they would love themselves more in this relationship. Was it really necessary to believe in cartomancy? Maybe that crazy woman was right. Come on!
The sandwiches were ready and took their places on the table. As he poured fresh orange juice into the glasses, he began to hum the lyrics of the Mr. Sandman song that came to mind as a memory.
"Please turn on your magic beam
Mr. Sandman, bring me a dream"
But as he was leaving the glasses on the table, his song was interrupted by the movement he felt in front of the kitchen door. Out of the corner of his eye he saw it was her. She was wearing nothing but a towel covering her privates. Joel's lips were slightly parted, his face somewhere between shock and seriousness. The words were stuck in his throat. "You..." was all he could say.
The young woman put on a facial expression that showed how much she needed him and simply said, "Come, please." holding out her hand.
She released the towel that barely covered her and fell to the floor. Her smooth skin was now bright and shiny in the kitchen light. The perfect measure of her waist, her full breasts with nipples hardened by the cold, my God, she was a true goddess. Still, he thought to himself, to respond to her request would be to take advantage of her confusion and go against his moral sense.
Joel said with a sense of shame hidden behind his serious appearance, "I don't think that's right." He approached the young woman. He picked up the white towel that had fallen on the floor and held it over her to take it. But the girl touched Joel's cheek with an attitude that knew what she wanted and looked him in the eyes with certainty. "I thought about what you said and I realized that we would be good for each other. I need to sleep in the arms of a man like you tonight, if you want it too."
Joel swallowed. He was excited like a boy who was a novice. This was different, very different. He stood there, not knowing what to do, when the young woman suddenly pressed herself to his lips. With one hand, she squeezed his cheeks, causing his lips to part, so she slid her tongue under his tongue. Warm and moist. Rubbing it under and over his tongue, she created a slight tickling sensation.
Shee bit his lower lip, ran her tongue and teeth along his jawbone, and then she started biting his neck. This had felt wrong and foreign to him at first, but he had adapted very quickly. He wrapped his arms around her, picked her up, and with one hand he motioned for her to wrap her leg around his waist. Her feet had left the ground, and they continued to kiss wildly as Joel led her into the living room. Her hair was wet, and water droplets were following a path from her forehead to the corners of her eyes and then to her lips. The wet kiss made them even more passionate. Joel gently laid the young girl on the couch, and with quick movements, without taking his eyes off the girl, he began to take off his clothes. His dark green shirt and the black T-shirt he wore underneath. His bronze skin highlighted his masculine body lines, allowing the light to shine like gold on his muscles in the dim environment. Joel saw the admiration in the girl's eyes and leaned towards her smiling lips with much more enthusiasm. The man's skin was warm, as the woman's cold fingers touched his skin, he felt the lust in their touch deeply, he felt his cells coming back to life. His hands explored the young woman's flexible body lines. He caressed her breasts, squeezed them, and sucked her hardening nipples, leaving bites. When his lips found her neck again, his fingers moved down from her breasts to her belly, leaving tickling touches, and reached her hips and began to caress her legs. The drops of water flowing from her damp hair were wetting the girl's skin, its brightness creating an erotic appearance. As they looked into eyes, they were both out of breath and knew that they had committed the most sacred sin ever. According to Joel, this sin was love, and it was worth burning in hell for it. "Oh my god, you're the sexiest woman I've ever seen in my life," he said as he unbuckled his belt. The sound of his metal belt buckle was hitting the living room walls. The sound of his leather sliding against the denim fabric was quite inviting when he pulled the belt quickly. When he took off his pants, the strain visible in his boxers almost ripped the fabric. After peeling off the black fabric and getting rid of that, he held her ankles and spread her legs apart and entered between them, his rock-hard dick hitting her upper thighs and rubbing against her groin, finding her vulva. He was now applying pressure to her swollen outer lips. The love they felt for each other had spread from their souls to their bodies, causing spasms in their groins. The cold feeling left by the water combined with Joel’s warm tongue strokes created an indescribable sensitivity in her neck, breasts, and belly. You were touching each other in places no one had ever touched before. Now they had to go much further than making love. When her hand reached out and grasped Joel’s erect penis, they smiled at each other’s lips.
"You are so eager, lady, so ready to touch me." Biting her lower lip,
"So aren't you?" the girl asked.
"I'm always ready for you," he said, pressing the girl's flexible body even more onto the cushion and they continued kissing while the girl rubbed his dick.
He was moaning so seductively that as his hot breath touched her ear and the back of it, a shiver ran down her spine and covered her body, accompanying her moans as she closed her eyes and felt his voice more. She didn't even need to touch him now, for her to squirt.
Joel placed his calloused fingers on the woman's tiny waist and, with a force so hard that it hurt slightly, forced the girl to lie face down. She could feel the slight sting of thorns on her skin as her breasts were pressed against the furry fabric. She must have been allergic.
He pulled her wet hair from her back and found its place on the left side of her neck, biting her bare side and started rubbing his penis hard in her vagina. In this way, the extreme pleasure and pain she felt would balance each other.
Joel growled. "Oh, it feels so warm and wet!"
When his cock, which was getting harder as it rubbed against her vulva, restricted her movements, the young woman lifted her hips up with the help of her arms and, standing in doggy position, started to caress his cock and balls between the parts of her hips. Joel was shaking on his knees, leg muscles clenched, breathing shallow.
He didn't want to end things like this. He wanted to feel the girl from the inside. He held her ass tightly and stopped her. He took his veiny cock in his hand and placed it at the entrance to her vagina.
Before he entered her, Joel asked passionately, "You wanted my cock so bad, uh, honey?"
As soon as she answered, "Yes," Joel reached for her hair and grabbed her roughly, pulling her back. "No short answers! Tell me what you want me to do!"
"I want your thick cock , please!" she breathed.
"Atta girl!" He whispered with warm breath on her ears.
He pushed the head of his penis into her vagina and inserted it. Her vagina slowly expanded and her walls wrapped around his cock that was too thick for. She moaned in slight pain, but it was also very pleasurable. Joel finally pushed it all inside. Her vagina was stretched wider than ever. He started pumping with long, slow strokes. She hadn't had much experience with sex before, but it was obvious that he was the best.
"You tell me when to speed up, honey." He whispered. She began to respond to his movements in a synchronized manner.
His hands gripped her elbows tightly, pulling her body a little closer.
She moaned, "Now, fuck me faster now!"
He moved faster, thrusting his at least seven inch cock in and out rapidly. Wet sounds were made as her vagina met his cock. Joel bend over and pulled her closer, his hands still gripping her elbows. He placed his hand under her chin, forcing her eyes to look up at the ceiling, so that he could place her head in the crook of his neck. His thumb was gently caressing her cheek. He placed his lips somewhere between her jawbone and ear. A shiver ran down spine and into her groin.
Deep and guttural moans released from his mouth, "Why does your pussy feel so good!"
The girl used her vagina to squeeze Joel, driving him crazy. They were shaking every time that big hard tool entered her.
He growled with powerful deep thrusts "Do you like the feeling of a man's penis that you don't know, uh?"
The girl's voice sounded like she couldn't stand the pleasure any longer. "Yeah, I love the way you fuck me!"
While he was pumping his penis inside her over and over again, with the last pump he would take the young woman to the edge. She would reach the peak of pleasure. He could feel her pulse on the surface of his finger as he squeezed her neck under his hand while he was cumming inside her. As his seeds washed her cunt, the girl also had an orgasm and both of their pleasure juices flowed out of her vagina at the same time. The space between her legs was sticky and shiny. Drops of water were running down the insides of her upper thighs. As their breaths mingled, the young woman freed herself from Joel's grasp and threw herself onto the couch, lying on her back. Her chest was rising and falling. There was still an inviting look in the girl's eyes. Joel took advantage of this and collapsed on top of her, started to kiss her lips. His tongue was kissing her as if he was fucking her mouth now. As their passionate kiss slowly heated up, Joel's hands couldn't stop themselves from caressing her legs. But he didn't want to tire her out any further. They still hadn't eaten. He didn't want to drain her of all her energy, so he pulled his lips away from hers and leaned his face against her chest. The young woman put her fingers into his grey hair strands and started to mix it up slowly.
After they had rested, the girl asked, "Are you sure your daughter won't suddenly appear and catch us?"
Joel lifted himself up on his arms and looked down at the young woman. "She's staying with her uncle tonight. It's not possible. Are you hungry?"
She nodded, "I'm starving."
Joel stood up, picked up her , put her arms around him, looked at him with happy eyes, and he walked out of the living room and up the stairs. He took her to the bedroom. After cleaning the sperm and pre-cum leaking from her vagina, he left her alone in the room. He brought clothes from the bathroom and handed them to the girl. "After you get dressed, you can go down to the kitchen."
They were both silent as they ate. If she asked him a question about his life, she had to tell him either, and the same was true for Joel.
However, it was Joel who broke the silence."Why were you on the bridge? It didn't look like you were trying to commit suicide."
The girl was chewing the bite from the sandwich. That's why she couldn't pronounce the words properly. But Joel could see the sadness returning to her face.
""I just wanted to forget myself in the chaos of the city." Then she grinned insincerely, as if she had to smile. "Otherwise I'm too cowardly to commit suicide." Her voice trembled as she emphasized the last words, and averted her eyes.
Joel stroked her hair. "Shh... I'm with you now. I won't give you any reason to cry."
He put his arms on the table and leaned towards her slightly. "Really, we haven't officially met yet. I asked you your name when we were walking on the street, but you brushed it off."
The woman couldn't make an excuse, but she was nervous as she answered Joel's question, unlike him. He repeated her name over and over as they spoke. As if each time he said her name was a great reward. Joel liked the woman. The way she was young and beautiful, the way they had met, the way she enjoyed his conversation except when he was sad.
Joel called out to her, trying to start a new topic of conversation, but she was the first to respond. “Joel, I actually want to go to sleep. We’ve been through enough.”
Joel nodded in displeasure. But he was also trying to understand the girl's situation. He was being understanding. "Okay, you can go sleep wherever you want."
As she stood up, she patted Joel's arm and gave him a rather long kiss on the cheek. "Thank you for everything, Joel. I'll always remember that kindness."
After the girl left, Joel sat in the kitchen chair for a while longer, wondering if Sarah would like the young lady. Would their relationship crown itself with love, as the crazy Ex said?
Joel chuckled to himself. He was being ridiculous, really. A forgotten emotion had awakened and blossomed in his heart, exciting him and making him feel like a high school teenager. He put his teenage thoughts out of his mind and collected the dishes from the table and put them in the dishwasher. He still had a goofy smile on his face. It was a very difficult day for him too. All the negativity had piled up and he felt like life was suffocating him. However, this beautiful girl had entered his life like an angel and brought the light of heaven to his soul.
When Joel climbed the stairs and entered his room, he saw that the girl was already asleep in her bed. He lay down next to her without letting her wake up. When the girl mumbled something in her sleep, Joel thought she was talking, so he answered. But she was just mumbling. Names of people he didn't know, names he'd never heard in their conversations. His dream was to watch her until the morning, but the tiredness of the day took him captive too.
He was dreaming. It was the most peaceful dream he had had in a while. He felt proud, and he claimed to know. The Queen of Hearts had not failed him. She was right there beside him, bringing light into his life. What else could rich bourgeois girl mean? He was lucky now.
But this dream was cut short by the morning sun. The sky had just brightened. The biting cold of winter was chilling. That's why when he woke up, he had his arms clasped together. He had rubbed his eyes and looked to his left to realize his dream of wishing good morning to the woman he loved, whom he had missed for a long time. But she was not there. His eyebrows furrowed in curiosity. The side where the girl had slept last night was the window side and he saw something on the window pane that had been fogged up from the cold. He stood up, approached the window with heavy steps and stared at the writing written in the fog there.
"Goodbye."

— felix misses you a little extra tonight; good thing you're way ahead of him.

When Felix steps into Tokyo's night air, he can still hear the remnants of tonight's concert in the distance, the occasional car horn and the low thrum of conversation floating over the dome of the stadium. But for the most part, it is quiet, and Felix is finally able to think.
He thinks about how he's happiest after performances: leftover adrenaline warming his skin, strobe lights still dancing across his vision, heartbeat still drumming against his ribs like the heavy bass that shook the stage prior. He thinks about how much he loves leaving each venue knowing that, even if only for a few hours, he owned the place; set it utterly ablaze.
But he mostly thinks about you.
From the moment Felix started loving you, his happiness became yours. A bite of brownie fresh out of the oven, met with widened eyes and a delighted mmm; every funny story relayed to you later that night (poorly, because he keeps interrupting himself to laugh); photographs, so many photographs—an especially rotund pigeon he spots on the way to practice, a new pair of earrings that’s way too expensive but looks way too good on him, cute texts from his mom—inevitably making their way into your camera roll.
He can’t help it. He only wants to experience the best parts of the world with you by his side.
So it is in his happiest moments that he feels your absence the strongest. And now, Felix so badly wishes you were here that he physically aches. It feels a bit like his heart is being swallowed by seawater, nothing in any direction for miles, nowhere to go but down.
Only when Chan materializes next to him does Felix manage to steady his feet on the cement once again.
“It’s not here yet?” Chan surveys the lot for their tour bus, to no avail. “Good thing, I guess. Everyone's taking their sweet time.”
The older boy gives Felix a glance thoughtlessly, looks away, and then looks back, his gaze lingering on the side of his face for longer this time, and Felix knows that Chan knows exactly what’s going through his head. For a second, Chan seems like he wants to say something, but Felix averts his eyes to his shoes, takes out his phone.
Not now.
“I think I left something inside,” Chan says instead, though he never leaves anything anywhere. Felix manages an appreciative smile. Without another word, Chan claps a hand to Felix’s shoulder and disappears back into the building, as quickly as he came.
A few seconds pass. Then, as naturally as if by muscle memory, Felix taps on your contact and holds his phone to his ear.
It rings once, twice, thrice—and then he hears your voice, but not in the way he yearns for.
“Hi, you’ve reached Y/N! I’m unable to come to the phone right now, but please leave a message and I'll get back—”
He ends the call, his brow furrowed. You knew he had a concert today. And you should've known to anticipate the call that would come right after, as faithfully as the sun’s rise and fall.
He calls a second time, hoping this was an obstruction of ‘do not disturb’ and nothing more, but is met with the voice message again.
The call of the ocean's depths becomes louder.
As he sits through the automated response, Felix leans against the wall behind him and tilts his head back against the plaster, his gaze moving over the night sky. Then, he hears the beep, and starts to speak.
“Hi, my love. I called, and you didn’t pick up, and I got worried. Is everything alright? Maybe you’re busy, or asleep? Remember to take care of yourself first and foremost—everything else pales in comparison. Everything."
His voice feels far steadier than he feels.
“Ah, I miss you, darling. The concert went super well; the energy was unreal. We have a few hours to explore Tokyo tomorrow before heading to our next stop, and I’m excited as hell, but I wish you could be here more than anything in the world. I haven’t stopped thinking about how much you’ve always wanted to visit this city since we got here—Seungmin even said he'd save his visit to the Pokemon Center for whenever we come back with you. All of us are thinking of you, babe. Me especially. Me hopelessly.
"One day, you and I are gonna travel the world together, responsibilities and schedules be damned, and we'll spend as long as you want wherever you want. As long as I can be next to you. God, I fucking miss you. I said that already, right?”
A short distance away, the building door opens again, and Felix quickly ducks his head out of view, suddenly conscious of his watery eyes and blurring vision.
“I gotta go. I think the members are ready to go back to the hotel. Call me back when you get a chance, okay?”
The next words catch in Felix’s throat, and he has to wince and take a long, shaky breath in order to get them out.
“I love you to the ends of the universe, angel. Share some of your light with the moon tonight, yeah?” He presses a kiss to the receiver. “I love you, I love you, I love you. Bye.”
With that, Felix hangs up, drops his phone into his pocket, and presses both sleeves tightly against his eyes, willing himself to calm down.
No, he thinks, shoulders quivering with the effort, it really never gets easier.
It takes a while for it to strike Felix as odd that it’s still quiet outside; he could’ve sworn that he heard the door open and close, that he should be hearing the tired chatter of his members by now. Apprehensively (obliviously), Felix lifts his face from his hands and turns around.
Chan, so solemn and quiet before, now wears a Cheshire grin that instantly devolves into a breathy laugh when he meets Felix’s eye. Hyunjin stands behind Chan, holding his phone up, evidently filming. Felix’s lips part in confusion, a question forming on the tip of his tongue. There are enough videos of me crying my eyes out on the internet, no?
But then his eyes fall on the person standing in between the two men, their arms piled so high with flower bouquets that their face is almost concealed entirely, and he forgets what he wanted to say; he forgets every language he knows.
“So we were contacted by a fan the other day,” Hyunjin says, beaming. “Kept calling you their boyfriend. Forced us to fly them out to Japan and everything.”
“It'd be real bad if we got the wrong person,” Chan adds, and a stifled laugh comes from behind the petals—one that Felix would recognize in every corner of the world, in every lifetime. “They look familiar?”
The bouquets part, and behind them you appear, cheeks visibly flushed even under the lot’s singular streetlight, smile so bright that it’s turned your eyes to crescent moons.
"Surprise," you say softly.
The empty lot finally erupts into laughter, Chan and Hyunjin no longer able to restrain themselves. Can't believe we pulled this off, they're saying to each other triumphantly, but everyone, everything around Felix vanishes save for the person he adores most in the world, holding more flowers than they should be able to carry, looking at him as if he's made of pure starlight.
And Felix's heart starts kicking upwards, towards the rays of moonlight filtering through the murky water, as fervently as if his life depends on it—and, in this moment, it does.
“Hand 'em over, fool,” Chan says to you. And as you start transferring the heaps of flowers into the leader’s arms, Felix has never moved faster in his life.
In the span of a few seconds, his hand finds the small of your back, and yours the nape of his neck. “Holy fuck,” Felix whispers, and then he’s pulling you against his chest tightly, desperately. There is no word that can describe the way you melt into one another except for destiny, one of your hands curling in his hair and the other running over his shoulder; his face burrowing in the crook of your neck, fingers lacing together against your spine.
His pulse is so loud that he hears it in all directions, in all parts of him. Felix squeezes his eyes shut against the material of your crewneck, his whole body shaking with silent sobs as the overwhelming array of emotions he'd harbored prior finally spills over. And he stops thinking entirely, simply loses himself in all that you are: the smell of your laundry detergent, the sound of your laugh, the feel of your embrace, so secure and warm as if promising him you’ll never let go.
“I love you, Lee Yongbok,” you murmur, the words only for the two of you to hear.
With the sound of his full name, Felix's heart breaks through the ocean's surface at last. Not only that; it performs a triple axel on the shoreline, and it sure as hell doesn’t stick the landing, slipping and sliding and fighting to regain its balance as you continue on.
“Forget the ends of the universe. You are the universe. You are everything that has ever existed and everything that ever will. And I couldn’t bear to be away from my galaxy for a second longer.”
Felix shakes his head from where it remains buried against you, his voice a broken rasp when he answers, “I’m not whole without you, angel. I never will be again.”
“I'm here, baby,” you reply, your hands tightening around his hoodie, among his long locks. “Whether I'm right next to you or on the other side of the world, I'm always with you. And I will be tomorrow, and the day after, and eons from now. That—”
Your lips find the shell of his ear, then his temple.
“—is a promise, my sunlight.”
Tumblr media
Chan is standing with bundles of flowers still piled high in his arms, silent tears streaming down his face, and Hyunjin’s expression is contorted into a terribly suppressed weep, his still-recording phone long forgotten in his pocket. They don't have it in them to tell you to get a room. Not right now.

Can you write Ghost only use reader for her body and she shows that but in love too deep with him. She always begs him to take their relationship seriously but Ghost always replies like "I know you love me, that's why I use you, lovie." That's so cruel but I love that, maybe I need a therapy right now!!!
(MDNI) +18
Ghost x F!Reader
“Just sex” he grumbled as he towers over you.
“Fine” you say with a smirk. Arrogantly thinking you could make him fall for you.
Unfortunately after every roll in the sheets it ended the same way. You offer him food, stay to watch a movie, rub his tired shoulders, but he always leaves right after.
Time after time you tell yourself he’s just putting up a front, and deep down he’s a soft gentle man like you think he is. Wrong again. He’s just a tall, arrogant, selfish jerk who only cares about his job.
Which lead to this conversation between you two in his room.
“You know what, I don’t get it” you fumble with your belt as you frustratedly put it back on. Ghost texted you asking if you wanted to stop by but right before you two were about to lay on the bed you asked him if he felt anything for you. Anything at all. To which he promptly said “talk about it later” which was his way of saying drop it. But of course you persisted as asked if he wanted to get dinner later. And it slowly spiraled into a half clothed argument.
“What” he asks with a slight annoyance in his tone “let me guess… you really did fall for me”.
“Yeah. And for some fucking awful reason I agree to this shitty sex deal thinking it would change things but fuck… you’re just shitty”you slip on your shoes and sigh “You know most people have the common courtesy to at least ask if they need some water or help clean them up”.
His props himself up by his elbows and sighs “we agreed, It’s just sex”.
“Oh fuck off. You knew what you were doing. And even if it’s just sex have some basic human decency. And you’re the one who approached me mother fucker don’t forget that, you desperate horn dog” you sneer at him.
Ghost laughs “Oh don’t call me the horn dog when you were practically chasing me around wanting some”.
“Fuck you, then why on earth did you decide to sleep with me if you knew I’d get attached” your hands rest on your hips as you await his answer.
“Simple, the other two women here have some arrangement with Gaz and Soap. I’m not particularly fond of sharing. And they’re really not my type, and you’re the prettier one of the three”.
You could feel your blood start to boil. A this time you had been trying to convince yourself he was everything you wanted… and he was just using you.
“So all that time I thought you just wanted to get to know me you were just trying to get into my pants” your expression turned ice cold.
“Was rather easy darling” he smirks.
“You’re telling me” you laughed trying to compose yourself “that I thought I was falling for you and put up with some mid grade dick because I was the prettiest”.
Ghost was slightly taken aback when you said mid grade dick. “The fuck does that mean” he asks.
You slowly reach for his door handle “Oh come on ghost… did you really think I was actually cumming from two ish minutes of missionary sex with no forplay”.
His sits up with confusion plaster on his face “you’re lying” he scoffs.
“I mean like you said it’s just sex. You never said you’d make me cum, and this little arrangement where one of us leaves works out pretty well so I can have some quality time with my vibrator” your open the door and walk out grinning. But once you reached your room every ounce of emotion released itself.
You gave yourself one night. One night to mourn the idea of what you wanted with him. One night to be upset over his attitude and behavior. One night to cry and let your heart break.
Ghost sits speechless on the bed. There was no way you would lie about faking an orgasm… right? He picked you because you’re pretty and gullible, but now he feels like the fool.
Ghost slides back into his boxers and slowly paces his room. “She’s a little lying minx” he grumbles to himself. But as much as he tries to reassure himself his mind goes back to every encounter.
He realizes he never did ask you if it was good for you. Did you actually cum? Granted he had to use lube a few times but that’s normal, right? Well maybe he did just kinda rush into the sex, never giving you any proper warm up. Was he actually giving mid grade dick? Impossible. But then again he cant remember you saying once that you did come, nor did he ever remember you cumming. He’d surely remember the expression on your face if he ever did see you cum, Was the one and only Simon Ghost Riley really dishing out mediocre dick?
It’s been about a month since that night. Yours and Ghosts work relationship remains unchanged. Professional. But of course now that Soap and Gaz noticed a change in Ghosts behavior towards hookups, they have been dying to ask you what happened.
“Because you’re the prettiest” Gaz repeated your words.
“That’s so fucked up that he’d prey on you like that” Soap said with a disgusted expression.
You simply shrug “I know, but I think I might have given him a taste of his own medicine”.
“How” Soap asks taking note of your smirk.
You lean back in your seat trying to gather the right words “Well you see… he’s not exactly gifted in the skills department”.
“Oh please do elaborate” Gaz scoots in closer. He’s oh so deeply invested now.
“He’s as vanilla as a cake, can’t find the clit even with assistance, and let’s be honest… a minute and a half isn’t getting most women anywhere when you just shove it in” you look between the two men and a greeted by the look of horror.
Soap was the first to speak “A minute and a half”.
“When you say just shove it in you mean he wouldn’t ya know…” Gaz tries to say politely unlike Soap who is now mumbling in Gaelic.
“As in quite literally just dropping pants and hitting it in missionary. No warm up”. You can’t help but speak bluntly.
“Fuck that sounds bloody awful” Soap chimes back in.
“It was, but I thought I actually liked him and it was just something I figured I could deal with. thank goodness that’s over though”. You laugh at your own words because it’s the truth. A horrible honest truth.
Granted the actual damage Ghost caused to your confidence and self esteem is greater than you’re willing to admit. Knowing you were used just for your body and beauty was the most gut wrenching experience.
But at least Ghost looks miserable. The man hasn’t tried to hook up with anyone that you’ve noticed. His cocky arrogant attitude has been turned down. Life finally gave him some of the most humbling lesson.
1. Don’t manipulate people for your benefit when they truly care about you.
2. Don’t be a selfish lover.
3. There are videos on how to actually find the clit,

Looking down from the tree you see the undead trying to reach you. His eyes look at you through his gaping maw “Get away from me!” you take off your shoe and throw it hard at his face.
If he wasn't barking with laughter before, he is now.
Xiko sinks his claws into the bark of your misguided safe haven and discards his own shoe wear, intending to rake his way after you.
" The nerve! " You can see the pupil shrink in his obscured eye. " The audacity- "
You can't mask the terror that spreads through your whole body as he manages to easily start ascending.
" To drag me out of Greed, out of Hell, into these forsaken muck villages, these fields of nothing- "
The language he's using is strange, but you're too preoccupied trying to find a new escape route, hearing undead hands rip and pierce back into the tree, tearing it apart, with no regard for the safety of his own form when wood splinters into his skin and it chafes, burning, yet never bleeding.
" You idiot! " He laughs again, huge maw deforming in his manic amusement. " You fucking moron- Haven't I told you before?! "
There's no real escape. You thought about how to get up, not down. A fall this great will make you break something, likely your ankles, and if you can't run away after, then you might as well save yourself the skeletal damage. No water, nothing to monkey branch to, sliding down would take too long-
Great horns snag and snap branches away, one long arm reaching to grip you desperately as he tries to steady himself.
" Nobody steals anything from me! "
Through the struggling and squirming, in your desperate attempts to lean out of his grasp in the limited space you have available, you make the mistake of kicking your leg out far enough that Xiko could grasp it, and he does. Like a starved predator whose yet to have a meal in days, that eye continues to burn into you like embers and he salivates, grip compressing your flesh.
" I'll always know where you are... I'll always come get you- I have no fucking choice! "
He yanks, hard, and you shriek. Not because of the closure, but because he's on a separate branch, and you're losing support.
" Get it through your head already. " Xiko tilts his gaze. " You'll be mine until the day I can't piece you back together anymore. "
With another pull, everything shrinks, you can't even scream before there's a crunch, and everything goes black.

It’s a miracle Whitney made it out, I know how ruthless Remy can be. He doesn’t let go of his cattle easily, I thought while wiping away the rest of the dried mud from his face, “There…” I whispered, not wanting to startle him. He was pretty out of it, standing in the mirror and staring at himself. I know he’s always hated how he looked and I’m sure this only made it a million times worse. The horns, the ears, the tail, and now the freakishly large cock. It’s a big change, a change I know all too well having been to the farm myself.
I watched him quietly, afraid to break what trance he was it. Everything was silent till he punched the mirror, breaking it. I stepped back, avoiding the broken glass. “Whitney…?” I called out, hoping to get his attention. He ignored me, pushing past me and going into his room. I sighed and followed after him, keeping some distance. I want to help him, but he’s fighting me every step of the way
He sat down on his bed, face in his hands. I slowly sat down beside him, “Why won’t you just fuck off?” His intention was to sound angry and mean, but he only sounded sad and broken. “Just leave me alone!”
I sighed, putting a hand on his arm.  “I’m not leaving you like this, let me help you.” He only shrugged off my hand, laying down in bed with his back to me. He’s really starting to test my patience, but I know what he’s going through. I don’t blame him for acting like this, I was the same.
Kicking off my shoes, I laid down next to him. “I know it’s a big change-”
“No shit slut.” He hissed, refusing to look at me. “I look like a freak.”
I wrapped my arms around his waist, resting my head on his back. “I can help…” I tightened my grip, “I went through it too, it just takes time.”
He took a deep breath, turning to face me. “You’re shit at listening.” I smiled, know that was his way of giving in and accepting my help. “Stubborn slut. “He grumbled, shoving his head into my chest to hide his face as he began to shake.
“Your stubborn slut.” I whispered, petting his hair as he began to softly cry. “ And I’m not going anywhere, Whitney.”

hi and hello i'm back from the dead here are some 1b quirk headcanons (that may or may not contradict canon but i'm too lazy to check everything)
Kuroiro
dad had a very limited phasing quirk, mom had an ink quirk. neither had #000000 skin that part kinda came out of nowhere
despite obviously being connected to his ability it's just a mutation that appeared along with it and isn't required for the quirk to be usable -what i mean by this is that Monoma's skin doesn't turn black when he copies it
it's. a really confusing quirk mechanics wise. Kuroiro himself isn't exactly sure how it works, it just does and thinking about it too hard makes his head hurt lol
he can merge into dark surfaces. doing so doesn't increase the weight of the object he's merged into. it's like he straight up disappears.
when he fully submerges himself in a shadow, he finds himself in kind of a black void in which he can move freely (without using his muscles, i think. just zooms around somehow...) and which he can leave whenever he wants through the same surface he used to enter or another one connected to it. is it some sort of super limited alternate dimension that he can enter through shadows?? PERHAPS
since he doesn't lose his clothes when he uses his quirk, he has to be able to bring objects into the darkness with him. i imagine he can do it with all things that aren't living (them being black is not necessary because it seems to work with white shoes and bracelets) and as long as they're touching him - if he lets go of an object while in a shadow, it will just fall out. therefore his quirk can be used for transporting things, but not for storing them.
you can also explain him not losing his clothes by them being mirio style dna fabric but that's the more boring option so screw that
when jumping out of a shadow, his speed matches that at which he was moving inside of it. i think it would be cool if he could build up speed while moving through a shadow and then just SHOOT out of it and kick someone real hard
Pony
Pony actually has "two quirks" - the one that gives her horns and the ability to shoot them (inherited from her dad) and the one that gives her the appearance of a horse/pony (inherited from her mom). it's registered as "horn cannon" for the same reason why Tokoyami's quirk isn't "raven" and Mina's isn't "pink alien thing" - it's a passive mutation quirk so it gets "overwritten" by horn cannon, which is more "active" - does this make sense?
thanks to her secondary quirk Pony is much stronger than the average person and can run really fast when on all fours. she can also neigh like a horse, digest celulose a bit better than average and sleep while standing. it's... not much besides that
Pony's horn cannon quirk requires keratin to function, because it's what her horns are made of. regrowing her horns too many times causes her to suffer from keratin deficiency, worsening the condition of her hair, skin, nails and hooves
most telekinetic quirks cause headaches when overused, but Pony's ability to control her horns is very minor so that drawback doesn't really affect her
Kendo
her quirk is a mix of her parents quirks - her mom can extend her fingers and her dad has superhuman strength in his arms
enlarging her hands increases their weight a lot, but Kendo's abilities don't suffer from that because her back and arms are naturally extremely strong as an adaptation to her quirk (she can beat everyone in the class at quirkless hand wrestling - it's highkey unfair, but she can)
however, she still sometimes ends up with lower back pains if she uses her quirk too much
Setsuna
her dad does have a lizard quirk (that actually gives him a tail that he's able to detach and regenerate), but her mom's quirk is actually more similar to Setsuna's. it basically lets her detach and re-attach parts of her body along predetermined lines, and lacks the regenerative abilities
her quirk makes her basically indestructible because it lets her regenerate any destroyed or injured body part, plus she seemingly doesn't even need any of her organs to be connected to each other. her only weak point is her head, attacking it is the only way to knock her out (or kill her)
her head/brain is also her "core" - she can only regenerate body parts that are connected to her brain. i'll use the final exams as an example - if she managed to get her whole head outside the gate, she would be able to regenerate her whole body around it and pass (she would probably pass out from exhaustion, but still). however if she only got some other body part, like one of her arms outside the gate she wouldn't be able to do that because the arm isn't connected to the brain. hope you get what i mean lol
in-universe, her quirk probably isn't censored with black, so i'm guessing it looks quite gory and tends to freak people out when they see it for the first time. an upside to this is that thanks to having to deal with the sight of it on a daily basis, no one in class 1-B has to worry about the shock of first seeing gruesome injuries during hero work. they're all desensitized through safe means👍
a drawback that is shared by most regeneration quirks is that due to the rapid cell division that occurs when regenerating body parts, she is at a high risk of developing cancer. however that's far less troublesome than it sounds, as she can always just painlessly detach the cancerous part and grow a new healthy one. doctors hate this one weird trick or something
as you can probably tell from my art, i really like the headcanon that her skin looks kinda patchwork-y because her regenerated pieces are never exactly the same as the original body parts
due to those imperfections, she's extra careful about her brain pieces bc it's such a complicated organ that the tiniest change in its structure can seriously mess things up. like cause memory loss or personality changes, setsuna finds that terrifying and honestly who wouldn't!!
Tsuburaba
another 50/50 mix - his mom can create colorful smoke/mist with her breath and his dad can produce a glass-like liquid from his skin and solidify it at will
i gotta admit that i'm not sure what the "solid air" actually should be. if it was actual solid air, it would be incredibly cold, unless there's some pressure fuckery happening here. and since i kind of don't understand that hypothetical pressure fuckery i generally prefer to think that it's some different substance that's a solid in normal conditions and was just named "solid air" because the way it's created makes it seem like it.
while the amount of solid air he can create does depend on his lung capacity, the quirk itself doesn't give him any extra amount of it. in other words he has the lungs of a regular athletic teenage boy, nothing special
his actual "quirk factor" is his throat, using his quirk too much first dries it up, then proceeds to damage its walls, which can result in him not being able to use his quirk for a while. throat damage due to external factors does the same thing
he can make the stuctures created with his quirk disappear at will. it's not required, but he likes to snap his fingers when doing so. makes it look cooler.
he's only ever been shown to create stationary structures, but i like to think that he can also make mobile ones (in other words i think he should be able to make solid air weapons and tools because that's cool)
Tetsutetsu
exact copy of his mom's quirk. gotta go with the joke
along with the temperature resistance, inability to regulate his hardness and dependence on iron consumption, another difference between his quirk and Kirishima's is that turning into steel also significantly increases his weight, which allows him to hit harder at the cost of slowing him down a little
the wiki says that it was never clarified what "iron consumption" means, so it's up to me to decide - i think they meant that he needs to eat food that contains iron, judging by the fact that the (stereotypically!) rich in iron spinach is his favorite food. i don't think he eats the actual metal, lol
even when his quirk is off, his hair is slightly affected by it at all times, which makes it resemble thin metal wires. he styles it by bending it with his hands
Reiko
since it's an extremely basic quirk, i think she also directly inherited it from one of her parents i don't have concepts for them so idk which one oof
she can only use her quirk on entire objects, not parts of them
while she doesn't have to always keep the objects she's manipulating in her field of view, she has to see them in order to "pick them up" in the first place
i believe that the "can only lift things that weigh less than an average person" limitation she has in canon is supposed to explain why she doesn't just use it to throw people around, and yeah that makes sense. what doesn't make sense is why she can't pull them by their clothes instead, so i'm going to make up an explanation for that too - clothes are usually pretty thin, so trying to grab them without also grabbing the person themselves and therefore exceeding the weight limit usually requires quite a lot of precision, which Reiko doesn't have (yet - one day she'll learn, i imagine)
the term "weight limit" is a simplification, it's actually a mass limit. in other words when she can't lift something it's not because can't exert a strong enough force to counteract its weight, but because she can't manipulate this much matter at once. she wouldn't be all-powerful in space or when cooperating with ochako
speaking of the force that she can apply to objects, it can be pretty insane if she concentrates hard enough for a long enough time
she doesn't actually need to move her hands to use her quirk, but it helps her focus and visualize its effect better
as it's a major telekinetic ability, overusing her quirk gives Reiko headaches
(i'm making up so many rules and limitations because telekinesis is a BROKEN ability if you think about it enough lol)
Shiozaki
mix of her dad's ability to speed up plant growth and her mom's ability to manipulate her hair
since her vines are green, it's safe to assume they contain chlorophyl and therefore are able to photosynthetize. however, due to the way they're shaped, i doubt it's very efficient (bad surface area to volume ratio), so i suppose Ibara has to provide most of the nutrients herself. in other words i think she eats way more than the average person and drinks more water, too
failing to provide those will cause her ability to extend and move her vines to suffer, and in more extreme cases, they will just fall off. she can regrow them when that happens, but it takes time.
while theirs are obviously very different from ours, plants do have senses, and Ibara can use those plant senses of her vines as kind of an extension of her own
Kamakiri
another exact copy, of his mom's quirk this time. she actually used to be a pro hero, too (one day i might elaborate on this)
it does come with the innate desire to cut things, however thanks to his mom sharing the same quirk he received proper support so it never grew into a problem. on the other hand despite seeming scary, it's not that much to handle. he just satisfies that desire by cutting vegetables lol
by default his blades are extremely sharp, but if he focuses hard enough he can make them more blunt and less lethal
unrelated to the blades, but due to part-bug biology, he's much lighter than you'd expect someone of his posture to be.
and that's it for today~ i do have thoughts about the others' quirks but i felt like they weren't coherent enough to put here lol. maybe another day? also if anything here directly contradicts canon or if you just have other ideas, you are more than welcome to share your thoughts, i really like discussing quirks :]

Here's part two for this ask and this one, too! I wrote the Ethan x Kaycee version here, and now it's Carrick's turn. I hope you enjoy this!
Book: Open Heart Pairing: Tobias x Casey Carrick (F!MC) Featuring: The Carrick Girls (F!OCs) Rating: Teen Words: 1,100 Summary: When Samantha expresses her displeasure with her Dad at drop off, Tobias & Casey make sure that pick up will be... even worse! :)
Tumblr media
It was a beautiful, sunny September morning. It may have been unseasonably cool for some, but not for Casey. She smiled as she took a deep breath of the crisp autumn air, her spiced pumpkin latte warming her hands. This was what she had dreamed of all summer long.
“Let’s go, girls!” she called out to her two eldest daughters, Samantha and Brooke, as she secured little Kayla into her booster seat. “It’s too early in the year to be late for school!”
The girls hurried to the car, and Casey checked their seat belts after they strapped themselves in. Samantha, a precocious child, was not pleased. “Mom!” she protested. “I am ten years old now! I know how to put on my seatbelt!”
Casey grinned. “I have no doubt about that, young lady. But, as your mom, I will double-check on your safety whenever I want, even when you’re my age.”
“Even when she’s that old?” Brooke marveled, filling the vehicle with infectious giggles when Casey shot her a stern but amused look. She couldn’t even blame her; thirty-nine seemed pretty ancient to her when she was eight years old, too.
With the girls ready, Casey hopped into the driver’s seat and honked the horn when she saw the time. Tobias came rushing out of the house and settled in the passenger seat. He kissed Casey on the cheek, then turned to smile at his girls. “Morning, ladies. Are we ready?”
“Yep!” Brooke replied enthusiastically, but Samantha just rolled her eyes.
“DAD!” she groaned.
Tobias gave himself a once over, trying to discern the issue. “What? What did I do this time, Sammy? Breathe? Exist?”
Samantha pursed her lips. “You’re not planning on getting out of the car when we get to school, are you?”
“Well, I am now,” he chuckled, eyes twinkling mischievously.
“Sammy!” Brooke reprimanded. “Look what you did! You have to learn to listen to what Grammie says and keep your thoughts inside your head!”
Tobias stifled a laugh as he whispered in Casey's ear. “Because my Mom does that so well herself.”
Turning his attention back to his girls, he asked again. “So seriously, Sam. What did I do now?”
“Your clothes!” She admonished.
“What?” He asked, downright offended. “This is a Frank Ocean Blonde hoodie! Official merch! It’s a collector’s item!”
“I like it, Daddy,” Brooke chimed in, and Tobias gave her an approving nod in the visor mirror.
“Thank you, sweetie. And that will be reflected in your Christmas present this year.”
But Samantha wasn't done. “And your shoes?”
Tobias looked at his feet, once again astonished that his daughter had any problem with his attire. “What! What is wrong with my shoes?”
“CROCS. With SOCKS!” Samantha gagged.
“Hey! These are not your standard Crocs, young lady!” Tobias defended. “These are Salehe Bembury! Do you know how hard it was to get these?" He turned to his wife incredulously. “Can you believe this?”
Casey laughed softly, patting his knee. “Clearly, we’ve failed as parents, love. But, they’re young,  we still have time to course-correct.”
“But why SOCKS?” Samantha demanded.
“Because it’s cold!” Tobias sighed, shaking his head.
He looked at Kayla, sitting in the middle seat, blissfully unaware of everything taking place around her. "What can we do to keep her that age forever?” He asked Casey. “I like that age! She still worships me and thinks I’m the most incredible person on earth.”
“Baby isn’t that what you have me for,” Casey winked, sending Samantha into the stratosphere.
“GROSS!” she yelled. “You two are GROSS!”
They pulled up in front of Samantha and Brooke’s school, and Samantha jumped from the car as if it was on fire. She wanted to be in the front door before her father stepped outside, but Tobias wasn't having it.
“Hello, Principal Hirsch!” he yelled, waving maniacally. “Hello, Mrs. Simmons! Samantha is so excited to get to work today! That's all she could talk about on the ride here!”
"Oh God!" Samantha muttered under her breath, avoiding eye contact with everyone. But Tobias grabbed her hand and gave her a goodbye hug.
“Be good, young lady, or I’ll make Mom get out of the car and kiss her in front of everyone.”
“You’re so embarrassing!” Samantha sighed as Brooke tugged at her Dad’s shirt.
“I love you, Daddy,” Brooke grinned.
“And Daddy loves you, too,” he smiled, waving both girls off to class.
Back in the car, Casey was still laughing over the chaos.
“What do you say we liquidate Sammy’s college fund and take a trip to Tahiti? Just you and me,” Tobias joked. "It would serve her right!"
“That may be a little extreme,” Casey smiled. “Don’t worry, hon. She still adores you. Samantha’s always been Daddy’s little girl, and she always will be. This is just a stage.”
"A stage I hope passes quickly," he sighed. "And it's easier for you! She doesn't seem to get embarrassed by you!”
“Yet!” Casey assured.
“Well, please do what you can to move that process along,” he pleaded. “You know we’re all for equity in this family.”
Casey smirked and got quiet. Tobias noticed the look on her face and leaned in. “Okay, what’s that look about? What are you planning?”
“Oh, nothing,” Casey said, though her eyes sparkled with mischief. “But I just might have an idea…”
~~~~
That afternoon, as school let out, Samantha and Brooke scanned the crowd of waiting parents, only to find Casey, Tobias, and little Kayla waving animatedly—all dressed in inflatable dinosaur costumes.
Brooke's face turned beet red. “Oh my God,” she mumbled, but her embarrassment quickly gave way to delight. She rushed over to her family, giving them all big hugs. “Can I get a dinosaur costume, too?”
“Already done,” Tobias grinned, handing her a package containing a small inflatable dino suit.
Mortified, Samantha tried to sneak toward the car, hoping no one would notice her family. But Tobias bounded over to her in full dinosaur glory, mussing up her perfectly styled curls. “How was your day, beautiful? Was it grrrrr-eat?” he roared.
"Mom!" Samantha cried, only to remember that right now, her Mom was a dinosaur, too.
Later, as the family piled into the car, Tobias looked at Samantha with sincerity. “You know, it’s okay to be embarrassed by us sometimes. Heaven knows Gramie still embarrasses me, but life’s too short not to have a little fun.”
Samantha rolled her eyes but leaned over to give her Dad a hug. “I’m not saying that you’re not embarrassing, but... I’m still glad you’re my Dad.”
Casey smiled at Tobias from the driver's seat.
“Well, I’m awfully happy I’m your Dad, Sammy. That goes for you, too, Brooke and Kayla.”
“So,” Casey grinned, putting the car in drive. “What do you say stop and get ice cream on the way home? In our costumes, of course!"
“Did you get me one, too?” Sammy asked.
“Do you think we’d leave you out?” Tobias grinned.
Samanta let out a little giggle. “All right, then. Let’s go!"
~~~~~
I kind of picture it going like this! lol

ABC... 1, 2, 3!
Scenario: Them as your son (age set from baby to 3yrs old)
Male reader insert! Warning* Child abuse, domestic violence, child neglect, reader will be paired up with woman partner
Characters: Alastor, Lucifer, Vox, Valentino, and Adam
Alastor
When Alastor was born, he didn't cry that much. Which concerned you but your wife assured it was nothing and proceeded life with a quiet baby.
That is until he breaks into a smile. You can't help but gush as he smiles at anything he finds stupid, it's adorable especially with his little tail wiggling around without control, ears perked up before flickering around making him reach up to pull at them.
You had to buy those little mittens to prevent any more damage of making himself cry.
As Alastor aged to 1, you and your wife notice how attached he is to your partner. Which makes you pout but there's nothing you can do other than try to bond with him more.
Unfortunately, he just ignores you, opting to make his first steps towards his mother. At night time he'll be right up next to her face, hands curling around her long hair as he slept. And what was worse is how everytime she leaves the room, Alastor will throw a tantrum if he wasn’t allowed to follow.
At the age of 2, his attachment was still there but has calmed down once you figured out a way to calm him down.
Every night, you'll pick him up onto your lap, turn on the radio for a little background noise until he falls asleep.
A win-win situation as he relies more on you now and getting him to sleep in his own room.
By the age of 3, Your relationship with him has increased.
He watches with wide eyes, as he sees you kissing your wife in the mirror who giggles, getting distracted from carefully brushing around his small antlers. He tags along with you for outside activities, hand in your own as he waits patiently for an elderly woman making her way through the door of a store that you held open for. Even copies your behavior of picking up stuff like shoes when his mother is sweeping.
"Oh my goodness, aren't you such a gentleman." Your wife gushes, picking the little demon up in her arms.
"That's my boy." You praised, smiling over your wife's shoulder to smile at the boy.
Alastor just smiles brightly at the two of you.
Lucifer
When Lucifer was born, you weren't there to see him bundled up in a freshly washed fuzzy blue blanket.
You had your hands full with his siblings, a 2 year old sister and a 5 year old half-brother.
Your ex wife had canceled plans of taking Michael over the weekend and having two high energy strung kids around a newly born doesn’t sound smart, so you wait.
At the age of 1, Everything was great. Lucifer's smile got rid of any problems that stressed you over.
You would raise him up into the air, making him squeal and laugh as you spin him around like he's an airplane. He'll crawl towards you, wings flapping around to help him get to you faster.
Not a care in the world, not a care of your wife or siblings.
By age 2, his first words of your dad title brings tears into your eyes. Picking him up and kissing his cute little nose before lightly tapping your horns with his.
Ignoring the tight ball of sadness of your wife taking Gabriella to her mother's house to spend the night there while Michael had called his own mother to pick him up.
At age 3, Lucifer would remember this event throughout his life.
The screaming of his parents rang out throughout the house. He doesn't really know what is being said but the terrified feeling of seeing you angry made him cry. Not even his big sisters' hugs can calm him down because she too is crying.
Then he sees his mother slap you before making her way towards them. He cries harder, running past her and into your arms.
But she didn't care, smiling softly at her own daughter before leaving with her.
"It's going to be okay Luci." You whisper out, rubbing his back in reassurance. Letting him cry until he falls asleep.
Vox
When Vox was born, you were there only for the first hour before leaving, getting a call from work.
This collaboration with another company is one in a million, you can't slack off this opportunity.
You'll get to see Vox at home.
Plus, the private nurses will help your wife with anything she needs.
At age 1, You threw a big birthday party for Vox.
Everyone you and your wife invited were important people. And some family, well only those that won't bring shame on you all.
Vox was being supervised by a nanny, making sure he didn't stumble. You don't want his small screen to take damage. It would be a horrible sight for those around to see.
Anyway, Vox was pretty happy when you gifted him a pup shark. Everyone was impressed by the gift.
2 years old, Vox felt so restricted. Everytime you all went to family vacations, the nanny was there breathing down his neck. Always correcting his posture or keeping him away from anything that would get him dirty.
Only leaving when his parents decide to have a family dinner where lots of paparazzi waited outside to take pictures of the perfect new family.
At 3, There was a rare day of having no meetings or projects to peak at.
You had a day off so you decided to stay home. Light music playing in the background while you serve yourself some wine.
The door slamming open startles you a little bit, Vox running in with tears running down his face, glitching out horribly from it. You watch as the nanny scurries in, apologizing immediately while trying to pull Vox out the door.
After a minute or two of the display, you signal the nanny out, leaving little Vox to stare up at you with uncertainty wet eyes.
"Are you done crying?"
Vox stays quiet before looking down at his hands that are anxiously fidgeting with each other.
"You got what you wanted. Entertain me." You sit down on the leather couch, watching him.
Valentino
The birth of Valentino was something that tied you down with your ex.
Family pestering you to take care of your newly born son. All the bickering and nosey cousins, aunts and uncles wore you down, bringing you to get married with your ex.
You can barely look at Val, just eyeing him from the corner of your eyes when your mother dots on him.
At 1, you secretly got a DNA test, wanting to see if this kid is really yours.
For all you know, the bitch you call wife was whoring around and trapping him into this relationship.
The test came back positive, Valentino is actually your kid. The information of it brought a little bit of...pride.
You were continuing your bloodline.
At age 2, Valentino first witnessed you holding the woman he calls mamá down the bed.
The sight of you punching the other to quieten her screams made him burst in tears, running towards her for a hug.
To get comforted.
Once he got on the bed, he was pushed off with so much force that he hit the dresser beside the bed. His screams rings out, never stoping as he was forcefully grabbed by the wrist, being dragged to the couch.
"Don't fucking move!" You hissed out before returning to your room.
Turning 3, Valentino has shied away from you.
No matter the place, he would never go up to you to ask for something. He also would be away from his mother, not wanting to be around her to witness anymore of those acts.
Also because you would make him stay on the couch, not letting him move until you would come back from the bedroom, sit down in your armchair, and turning on the tv with a cigarette lit up.
Adam
When Adam was born, you weren't there.
Actually, it was more like you couldn't make it. But even if you could, you'll probably still wouldn't attend.
The reason why you weren't able to attend the birthing of your first and only son was that you were locked up.
The news about Adam reached you seven days later.
When Adam turned 1, you finally got a picture of him.
Kind of blurry from quickness of the snap but what can you do if the mother of said child didn't want you in her life. Thankfully, a cousin of yours was keeping tabs on your son.
The small picture of his brown messy hair with his wings curled up on his back was hidden beneath your mattress.
You didn't want no one to touch it.
At age 2, Adam was already calling someone else dad.
His innocent little mind never bothered with how different the man he called father looked nothing like him.
Nor was he aware about the mail that was sent to his mother from his biological father.
Oblivious to the verbal threats on taking him when the person was out of prison.
At 3, Adam ran into some people that he has never seen before.
He was really suprised and shocked when an older woman picked him up.
"Oh my grandbaby. My baby! You look so much like your father!"
He was ripped away from the woman by his dad, while his mom started screaming profanities at the small group.
Almost getting into a physical fight with a younger looking woman until his dad dragged her away.
From that day on, Adam didn't go to that small market again.

I don't mind not being on anon :) can you tell me more about Calida, specifically while Dew is still carrying? How did the pack at the time handle that? Could we also get Ifrit reacting to Dew telling him he's expecting? Thank you!
Thank you! For sure I can give you that :D
(CW - Lightly implied abuse and pregnancy from sa, but this is a fluff post!) Aether/Dew/Mountain ftw
Super long post!
Oh boy, oh boy... When Dewdrop found out a few weeks before the start of tour let alone just how far along he was? A fucking MESS!!! He had been nesting so much lately, more emotional and hungry, cramping n puking all the time, and just so damn tired when he finally caved in to go see Phil. Dew has always been tiny, neglecting his health and never eating. Honestly, when he started gaining weight, he thought it was because of Mountain's cooking! He doesn't show whatsoever besides a singular bump that makes him look bloated constantly. He's just rubbing over his bump with nothing but fear. How is he going to tell Papa? The pack? Ifrit?
It's so unusual for Dew to go into Ifrit's room on his own accord, gently knocking and looking at his packmate so nervously. Sitting down next to him and just unsure what to say, before just out right-
"I'm pregnant."
Which is instantly met back, "How do you know it's mine?"
"You're the only one that's touched me in the past six months..."
Ifrit just shrugs. "So what are we gonna do about it?"
And it's right there that something inside Dew just snaps into place. He's thanking his unholiness it's just one and not an entire clutch that many water ghouls get, just nodding and whispering. "I'll handle it." And that's good enough for Ifrit. So Dew excuses himself, and goes to Aether who's of course with Mountain and Zephyr. "I'm pregnant, I'm not changing my mind, and you're all dealing with it."
They just frog blink before Zephyr is the first one to start clapping, squealing. "Yes! I knew it! I told you he smelled different!"
Dew didn't even realize his hands were clenched, but seeing their happy faces and even Mountain coming over to butt horns made him release, exhaling and completely taken off guard by it. He just starts bawling and now they're concerned, bringing him in and cuddling close, shaking his head and just clinging to the nearest one.
They honestly take it really, really well... Dotting over him, cranking their instincts up and starting to get things ready, even scrolling through websites for a baby registry; things they need and what Dew wants. Papa finds out next day, and he's the exact same, just jumping up and down at the fact his ghoul is going to be expecting. Papa Terzo sets things moving since he's already so far along, they gotta rush and-
....Oh fuck. Tour.
Now they're stressing out, and of course Ifrit is no help (unless Papa is around.) That man is pissed off when Terzo tells him he'll be in charge of the majority of Dew's equipment with Mountain. Being on the bus is even worse, but they're positive they'll be back before the baby pops! Settling him up nice and comfy in his bunk, even Zephyr giving Dew his duvet since he'll definitely need it more. He's not moving so much on stage, his Bass rested so comfortably to protect his bump.
It's after a show where they're all high fiving when Dew just gasps, a sudden stream going down his legs and he's just in full panic mode. "My water broke."
Mountain has never moved so fast before, scooping Dew up and running back to the bus - Terzo telling at the stage hands to get everything while they run off. Ifrit stays behind. Lucifer must've felt pity as thank FUCK it was the last show before a three day break as they traveled across the states. But now Dew is in his instincts, none of these ghouls or Papa know what the fuck they're doing, and now he's scared as much as them. He's placed in a nest in the back of the bus and he's just screaming at them to get out, even throwing his shoe at Papa while he tries closing the door.
He's on his own at this part. Naked waist down, nails digging into the leather couch, huffing and trying to soothe himself. There's no urge to push yet, so he's trying to calm down. Dew rubbing his much larger bump, purring and singing at the same time. Even after they're finished packing up, Dew hasn't gone in just yet, and refusing for anyone to come into the lounge besides Zephyr quickly rolling back a bottle of water. Papa hasn't let the bus move an INCH.
It's around 2 in the morning when they wake up to Dew's screaming, now wide awake and grimacing as it sounds like nothing but agony and they can't... Do anything. They hear sobbing, curses in Ghoulish, and a particular rattling scream that's meant for luring prey into the depths that Aether ends up hitting his head on his bunk trying to follow it before sense is literally knocked in... Then quiet besides the high little cries of a kit.
Dew hasn't stopped crying, but reaching down to and holding this bloody little girl that's still attached to him, snuggling against her cheek and starting to groom. He's an absolute mess both mentally and physically, not giving a shit as he's covered in blood and his own mess.
It's later in the afternoon when they can hear little chirps. Specifically calling for them. Mountain peeks in first and Dew is just sitting up, skin-to-skin with this little blob of black. He holds a finger to his lips and ushers them close, and that blob of black quickly becomes a little girl with black hair, identical to Dew's. Zephyr starts bawling like a baby, Aether and Mountain in absolutely shock, Terzo rambling as quietly as possible about how "he can't believe this! A baby kit! I've never seen one before besides pictures Sister had!"
He opens his arms a bit more to show her off, his smile never leaving. "This is Calida..."
Aether tries leaning closer and that's when Dew hisses, bringing her back. He shows his palms and is apologizing, going down to his knees with the others at a comfortable distance. Then, he's back to showing her.
"She's so small..." Zephyr is just trying to wipe their eyes.
"I was only 8 months..."
They're just looking in awe at this tiny being that gets latched to Dew's chest, holding back their purrs as they can see her little tail just curled around Dew's finger.
"She's a fire ghoul!" Aether chirps and it clicks. "Let me get Ifrit-"
"No!!" And they stop, even Terzo goes still. "No, I don't want him back here, don't you dare let him back here."
While their elements are different and one even a human, they know better than to go against a newly parents wishes. Once again, instincts to the max. Ifrit glanced back when the bus started moving and Mountain has never growled so hard since being topside, snapping his jaw and looming up. Ifrit got the hint. Dew quietly asks Mountain to help him get dressed, and is the one to carry Dew in the hotel when they got to their destination, little Calida hidden away and tucked into Dew's jacket. Mountain is just holding them so securely, and in return is given the ability to scent on Calida, his eyes dilated and his tail hidden in his pants can't stop wagging.
Dew feels comfortable enough to be bunked with the earth ghoul, Aether peeking in a while later to drop off food and GOD BELOW... Dew is tearing it up, licking his fingers and moaning as somehow this cheap fast food now tastes like a 5 star Michelin meal. Even Mountain loses his burger with no complaints. After some more heavy nesting and Mountain helping him shower while Terzo watches Calida, he's snuggled in the nest and feels safe enough to sleep with the promise Mountain won't.
In the other room, Aether is just projecting himself in Dew's room to look at both of them, just purring up a storm. Even in the plane, he sends gentle soothing magick into both of them, easing pain from Dew and letting Calida sleep longer so he can, too.
They only get two hours in before Calida wakes up, Dew responding by sitting up to feed her. Dew and Mountain just start talking back and forth and then;
"Do you want to hold her?"
The earth ghoul is just in silence before nodding, letting Dew finish before he carefully is handed Calida. He can tell Dew is nervous by his shaking and smell of distress, so he keeps Calida right in his eye sight, gently poking his nose at her chest and shoulder, licking her cheek. She lets out the smallest coo and wriggles in his hands. She's so, so, so small. Mountain eyes her with nothing but love, whispering about how she's so lucky to have the greatest parent in the world.
"I don't mind mother, really..."
Greatest mother in the world.*
Dew ends up taking her back after a few more minutes, asking for Aether and Mountain is so reluctant but goes without fighting it. They swap places, but Dew is still nervous. Doesn't want Aether anywhere near her, but he trusts him so, so, so much.
"It's nothing against you, I promise, I just-"
"You don't have to explain yourself to me. It's your kit and your decisions."
Dew let's Aether cuddle him on the side, and slowly Dew just falls asleep, Calida still against his chest and not moving in her own sleep. Aether just moved his hand to hover out just in case Calida wiggles, Dew's head on his shoulder so he's absolutely still. His smile is so wide as he admires another thing about Dew he's so in love with.

While I work on Naho's post, I have this on my head
Got the idea from conversations with @chancetimespace
Also, @crystaltoa you're getting the boot story!
Nokama knew more about dragons than she realized, that or simply knew what she did because dragons were reptiles, like snakes or lizards.
She knew of the collecting, or hoarding, they did and how protective they would get, but agree realized how that only applied to Vakama when she found a collection of weapons, masks, and even paintings that had been gathered away from the rest of the treasure in the vault and kept orderly.
She also knew of the way he actively sought to warm himself during winter by staying in the vault longer and even burrowing himself in treasure.
But dragons were nothing like snakes or lizards.
Definitely not, Nokama thought as she watched Vakama practically kicking himself in the face, growling quietly.
Truth be told, she was simply outside after winter had finally gave away to spring and the weather was nice enough to enjoy a book.
She stopped reading at the sound of the dragon scratching himself.
"Shedding season already?" She asked.
Vakama huffed and flipped into the grass. "Yes. And it returned with a vengeance."
"Surely it's better than molting? Or having fur?"
"Molting in what way?" Vakama asked as he awkwardly rubbed his face against the ground. "Leaving a husk of myself behind or making myself bald?"
Nokama furrowed her brow.
"No, having scales in place of fur does not mean I'm bald," he said dryly.
"What about fur, then?" She asked. "Dogs and cats shed."
Vakama groaned with disgust. "Have fur and cover everything around me in hair because I can't keep track of it when it falls off my body? That sounds like hell, and messy."
Nokama laughed lightly. "You're just being dramatic."
"As I have the right to be. A layer of skin is loosened from my body and I can't get it off yet."
The elf girl set down her book. "The river is close by. Maybe it could help."
"It is," Vakama admitted, finally laying still. "The water will just be cold."
Nokama ran her hand along one of his horns, smiling softly.
"It will all loan up and I can peel it off. Waiting for it to happen is just frustrating."
"Better than having fur, as you said."
"Or having barely any hair and needing clothes." He eyed her. "You could use some better clothes."
"Mine are fine. And maybe I could find some after we find a way to break the curse."
"Too long. What will happen this coming winter and you have no boots?"
"Boots?" Nokama repeated. "I have other shoes."
"Yes, but they are useless against the cold."
"I'll find boots eventually," the elf girl promised, her eyes on the trees.
Beyond them was the barrier that kept her and Vakama in the castle grounds, one that had become a vicious trap that led to travelers and wild animals to their deaths, leaving only whatever they might have been carrying behind.
Nokama felt her stomach churn as she remembered days of finding and practically scavenging what remained of travelers, how she so quickly adapted to looting no longer existent bodies for supplies she would need.
What a wonderful model of our world I am.
She noticed Vakama's expression as he adjusted to rest his head on her legs, purring despite his pensiveness.
Maybe we all do what we must to survive.
***
Vakama was usually a good hunter, able to find and catch prey easily and feed both himself and Nokama.
Shedding made that almost unbearably difficult, both with every inch of his body itching and with his eyesight going cloudy.
Regardless, there was a deer in front of him, healthy and big enough to be eaten.
And regrettably fast, racing away when Vakama lunged for it.
"Damn deer," he growled. "And damn this shedding!"
Beside him, Nokama patted his neck. "Getting close to shedding the skin off?"
"Not close enough. We'll need to be more creative in getting food."
"I can get us some fish," she reminded him. "And we still have some crops left."
Vakama grumbled and looked at a tree- or thought was a tree.
"I'm not helpless, Vakama."
"I know," the dragon sighed.
"And you don't have to make yourself do things on your own either."
I do, if I'm going to get used to being alone again.
Vakama only huffed.
Nokama patted his neck again. "Wait here. I'll be right back."
"Off to the river?" he asked.
Nokama nodded. "Yes. The fish should be coming out of torpor now."
"That's a weird word," Vakama said as he followed at her side. "Torpor. It sounds more like a spell."
"I think there is a spell that roughly translates to it." Nokama ducked under a half-fallen tree. "It knocks out your enemies for a while."
"How long?"
"I think it depends on how much energy you put behind it."
Vakama hummed. "So you could make someone sleep for the rest of their lives, if you really wanted."
"If I really wanted," Nokama stipulated, following the sound of flowing water.
Vakama was close behind following the sound and scent of water. "That sounds like a horrible way to die," he admitted.
"I think it would be peaceful," Nokama argued, rolling up the legs of her pants and wading into the river. "You don't exactly feel when you die while you sleep."
"But you're stuck in your own mind." Vakama dipped his mouth and nose into the water and snapped back, yelping at the cold. "Do you know how unforgiving your mind really is?"
Nokama smiled and moved her hand in a circle.
The currents shifted and carried fish to her.
"I do," she said as she caught one by the tail and placed it in the basket she left on the ground. "And I think my mind is more forgiving now that I have you to bother with my problems."
"You don't bother me," Vakama stated, "but I will be if you mention what you family used to eat again."
Nokama's jaw fell as she dropped a fish she'd just caught. "Really?" she laughed.
"You elves have no taste."
"This coming from a dragon who hunts in the woods and eats deer, fish, and any rangers that try attacking him with a knife." Nokama filled the basket and stepped out of the water. "Even for you, that's funny."
"I never said my taste in food was selective," Vakama amended. "And you need to go out of your way to prepare your food first."
"It makes the food taste better," Nokama said as she slipped her tattered shoes back together. "And it kills anything growing on the meat."
Vakama only eyed her shoes.
She won't last another winter in those sorry things.
"Vakama?" Nokama called, further ahead than he realized.
"I'll be there in a moment," he called back.
Then he hissed as he waded into the river, the cold of the water barely made better in the light of the sun.
There were a pair of boots in the castle somewhere, but they weren't resistant to anything. Good for the cold, but not much else.
Vakama shook in the water, looking at a rock with narrow eyes.
At least his shed would loosen, hopefully.
***
It was storming.
Normally, Nokama slept easily in the rain, lulled by the sound of raindrops on the window and rooftop.
Instead, she was more awake tonight than she had been in a while.
The flashes of lightning and roar of thunder only made memories of renegade magic resurface, bringing with them the images of people trapped under rubble, screams of men, women, and children, and the king himself demanding to know what had happened as Nokama was ushered away.
Another lightning strike brought her back to the present, loud enough to shake the castle from its foundations to the very window she had sat herself in.
"Still awake?" Vakama asked from further down the hall.
Nokama nodded, seeing a pair of glowing eyes in the darkness. "I guess you are too."
Vakama stepped closer to her, his foot steps light in his alternative form.
It had taken a while for Nokama to get used to the more human appearance Vakama occasionally took when he changed forms. Rather than looking like a kobold or Dragonborn, he looked closer to a rugged young man, his hair the same red as the scales covering his face, body, tail, and wings, the latter closed slightly before opening as he walked into the dim light of the window. His legs were longer, resembling a cat's or dog's more than a human's, and he looked as if he was about to return to walking on all four limbs, as he was likely used to doing.
The only thing that appeared to stop him was the bundle he held in his arms.
Nokama still smiled when she saw him.
"I've been awake for since dusk fell," he admitted as he perched near her, balancing easily on his toes as he set the bundle down. "I have something for you. Your birthday is coming up soon, I think."
Nokama blinked. "You remembered?"
She remembered when her last birthday passed and her family hadn't even sent her a letter or come to find her. Even when they barely knew each other, Nokama had cried to Vakama as he comforted her.
Now, Vakama gave her a smile, his tail wagging like a dog's.
"Of course," he said. "Why wouldn't I?"
Nokama shrugged. "Dragons don't seen to acknowledge their birthdays, so I got surprised."
"My birthday is just another day for me," the dragon stated, nudging the bundle closer to Nokama. "And I gave you something I think you'll like. Not too fashionable, but it will be better than the rags you put on your feet."
Nokama decided to ignore the insult toward her usual shoes as she carefully opened the bundle.
She gasped at the sight of a pair of red boots, the leather gleaming crimson in the light. "How did you find these?"
"Rummaging," Vakama replied simply. "They should keep your feet dry for winter."
Nokama examined the boots more closely, running her fingers along the leather and feeling its texture.
"Is this your shed?" she asked, brow furrowed.
Vakama's smile grew. "Maybe. Off my neck, actually."
"How do you know how to cobble shoes?"
"I dabble," he said modestly. "This form has its uses."
Nokama carefully slipped the boots onto her feet and stood, unable to keep the smile off her face.
"Are they all right?" Vakama asked.
"They're perfect!" Nokama beamed. "Thank you!"
Vakama dropped his head against his knees, his wings closing and hiding him as he grinned, bashful.
"How did you get them to fit so well?"
"Oh!" His wings opened and tail wagged once more. "I used your old shoes."
"Speaking of, what did you do with them after?" she asked, eyes narrow.
Vakama eyed the ceiling.
"Vakama."
"Would you believe me if I said I burned them?"
"You didn't!" Nokama protested.
Vakama held up his hands in surrender. "Of course not. I just... hid them."
"Where?"
The dragon stood and began walking away.
Nokama followed. "Where did you hide my shoes?" she giggled.
"Nowhere," Vakama said, feigning ignorance. "Just on one of the rafters."
Nokama froze. "The rafters!?"
Vakama raced to a window and left out of it, transforming once more into a full dragon. "You're welcome!" he shouted over the rain.
"As much as I appreciate the boots, that does not mean you can hide my shoes from me!" Nokama laughed after him, too caught by the absurdity of it all to be angry. "Not all of us can walk around barefoot!"
She watched Vakama vanish into the storm before closing the window and returning to her room, often looking down at her newly gifted boots.
She had to admit it: She was glad to have footwear that was more practical. The boots being flame resistant was an enormous benefit as well.
And the boots being from her friend made them all the more precious.
I hope my family doesn't mind that I hold on to them, when I get home.
If I get home.
She pushed those thoughts away as she opened the door to her room, nearly breaking into laughter when she saw her tattered shoes set neatly by the foot of her bed.

duty
order; angst oneshot. >malleus x guard, stoic reader<
note; had this idea a couple days ago and now I'm writing this while doing homework🥲
This is not edited.
tw. mentions of malleus killing himself, implied death i think thats it
Tumblr media
This wasn't supposed to happen. You were supposed to be able to tell Malleus how you felt for the past century. So, why were you holding your own sword against your neck?
>earlier<
The screams and shouts of students were tuned out as you only focused on one thing; keeping Malleus safe. How could a Diasomnia student turn their backs on the school and wreak havoc?!
"f/n, I am perfectly capable of defending myself." spoke the horned man.
Letting out a sigh, you replied with, "I am your guard and I will fulfil my duty." he only sighed in response.
The clicks of a students shoes could be heard as you pushed Malleus besides you, keeping him at a half arms distance.
"Well if it isn't the person I started this chaos for, Malleus Draconia. You know, my signature spell can make anyone do what I command. And as much as I would love to just make you kill yourself." bellowed such student.
You tensed keeping an eye on Malleus as he smiled creepily at you.
"That wouldn't be fun, so how abut I go for your dutiful little guard?" as he started lifting his hand towards you and casting his spell.
Before long, you could feel your body lose control. This wasn't quite like Ruggie's or Jamil's spell, you were fully conscious yet you weren't mimicking his actions. And again he spoke up.
"Now, I command you to kill your beloved master." the student laughed with an evil grin.
Malleus's eyes widened in shock.
And so did yours as you felt yourself slowly taking out the sword on your side while taking small steps, you gave Malleus a look saying,
"Get out of here!" you weren't sure if he'd go due to his stubborn nature.
Soon your blade was close to touching Malleus's neck as he stayed still. But before you were about to slice his neck, you could feel your body wavering.
"C'mon get it done with!" The student yelled with impatience lacing his voice.
You couldn't, you just couldn't kill Malleus.
So you fought against the spell and bought your sword to your neck.
Malleus and the student and anyone still unlucky to be there looked shocked.
"Mal, it.. was truly an honour serving you for the past century. Though.. it seems my duty has come to an end..."
You flashed him a smile for the first and last time.
Everything turned dark. And you could hear Malleus and students yelling for help and eventually hearing Lilias alarmed voice.
But you don't need to worry about that, after all. You have fulfilled your duty as a guard.
Tumblr media
note; jeez that sucked, sorry if there wasn't as much romance you wanted😢

Amulet Rant Time
Okie dokie Waverider is out and thus has concluded the series…so it’s time for a little…bonfire, we’ll call it.
Now don’t get me wrong. I still love this series and always will. I’ve been in the fandom since about Prince of the Elves. I literally have grown up with this series in my backpack from the moment I checked it out of my school’s library. I spent my first summer job paycheck buying all the books out at the time. This series holds a very special place for me.
I also understand that after Book 5(? I’m typing this out on mobile so I can’t verify), Kazu got very sick and lost a lot of his memories, which affected how he wrote Amulet and thus the rest of the story, so I’m not going to say he was a trash author.
There are just certain things that just…have not worked out post Escape from Lucien. And honestly, this is going to be more of a venting ramble than anything, so for the new readers coming in, take it with a grain of salt. You can still enjoy the series, fall in love with the characters, etc. That’s why we enjoy it.
Now I’m gonna do everything else under read-more so spoilers ahead.
.
.
.
We good? Okay, good.
I already stated that I give Waverider a 1/10. It actually is not my least favorite book, to be honest. (That “honor” goes to Supernova)
Trellis leaving the throne?
As others have pointed out, after Escape from Lucien it made no sense for him to just up and skedaddle. That boy was adamant he was going to lead his people. That’s what his whole plot was in the book, and him accepting more of that role in Firebird/the beginning of Supernova. Heck, they even pointed out that Gabilan, even though… voted in(?) as the new king was not doing a good job of it. Gabilan himself fully expected Trellis to take back the throne (albeit by force which is not really Trellis’ style). It felt very much like unnecessary step back from three books worth of development.
I can’t say much about Gabilan because while he did establish in The Cloud Searchers he wanted to be king, it didn’t feel right. Like there was nothing driven past that, that would say he wanted to be king. Honestly besides a tiny bit in Firebird he didn’t get as much character development as he should have, if at all. Which is why, if he was planned to take over from a while ago, probably should have had happened sooner.
Ronin and her Students
Speaking of introducing sooner, this is where I feel having a whole ‘nother two books would have helped the story, because this was just…so terribly executed.
I can’t tell you a single thing about her students except one turned into a turtle and another Cthulhu. I can’t even tell you anything about Ronin beyond her “I was right” mentality (and the mask, not sure why she was wearing a mask).
They all felt very shoe-horned in. I have no attachment to these characters, no real interest in seeing them succeed. They were brought in to fill a plot hole, while simultaneously making another plot hole in their wake.
Overall Problems with the Series
Genre Confusion
I think we’ve already established that Amulet would have been better off as a fantasy series than sci-fi. That is honestly my biggest problem with Supernova, was that was a giant Sci fi wedge in what was predominantly a fantasy series (I know we started more in Escape from Lucien and Firebird, but this is where I feel we veered too off course)
We honestly could have completely cut the sci-fi bit, changed a few things around between Escape from Lucien and Firebird, cut out most of Supernova -which yes, would have wrecked Navin’s sideplot, but there was different options that could have happened.
We don’t need the additional aliens/planets. Those characters could have easily just been Alledian on different parts of Alledia and we would have never known. We don’t even know what most of Alledia looks like because we’ve only been to a handful of places that predominantly look the same.
Which brings me to
Ikol and his Masters
I was so confused by the end of their story. They’re aliens but not. They were created by Silas but they have been around for eons. Everything was Made by Silas to Protect his Family. I just…*sigh*
It felt like they were beating the already dead piñata (pun partially intended).
Silas died in the first book. The consequences of his actions were established to be that he got a bunch of students killed and he ended up passing a huge burden onto Emily that should have gone to her mother. I don’t know why he had to be brought out as this.
Ikol could have very much remained a Chaotic Entity that thrived on the turmoil, his “masters” being a lie to convince Emily that he too was not in total control of the situation so he could slip her more into his control. We already know he likes collecting powerful stonekeepers who are vulnerable enough to fall sway to his side.
Heck, he comes back every 500 years to wage war with the elves and probably (should he have remained the entity) thought of it as one big game.
Having him turn into a somewhat malevolent AI that was just following orders to a T just…does not make sense to me. Especially if he was causing havoc with the elves for so long as implied.
Time-Travel
Okay honestly this is my biggest gripe with the later books.
We established, Books 4 and 5, time-travel was not possible.
All it does is send them back to interact with their memories. They don’t actually change anything about their lives outside the Void.
So having Future Emily and her son come back and save Present Emily throws all of the continuity out the window. And Future Emily’s little interaction with Ikol where it’s implied that they’ve done this over and over? Felt so weird after they actually dealt with Ikol. It felt like a useless little tag on that we ended up not actually needing. (Again, Supernova is my least favorite book for a lot of reasons)
Stonekeepers Good but Bad
*sighs again* Yes. This part would feed into the Problem of Too Many Characters Amulet has going on. But. We were not shown examples beyond our current group (Meaning Emily Trellis and somewhat Vigo) of good stonekeepers.
The Guardian Council that ruled over most of Alledia for centuries? Corrupt.
Silas? Self serving. (Despite being called hero numerous times, we were not actually shown anything he did besides stopping the rampaging stonekeepers back in The Stonekeepers Curse, and even then we weren’t actually shown, just told he did it.)
The Elfking(s)? Corrupted by their stones.
Most of Alledia in the early books respect Stonekeepers enough to kinda hold them in reverence. But we’re not shown anyone (beyond a couple panels of someone building stuff) notable enough to say Yes. Stonekeepers good. Anyone else who is mentioned is “Yeah, they were good, but they listened to their stone and turned into a rampaging monster” (Honestly Gabilan has more of a point here)
I get that’s why Ronin and hers were introduced, but they were introduced way too late into the series for it to feel that there could be some sort of balance.
Emily is one big outlier too here. She’s good but because she feels she has to be and has been told she has to be. Firebird honestly put a nice spin in this because we do see her fall. But Supernova kinda nixed that development sooooo.
*cough*ThisiswhatOCsarefor*cough*
Conclusion
Now those are the biggest ones that have bugged me for a while in addition to the new stuff from the new book. @motherstone has already touched upon multiple times some of the other issues that I tend agree with (go check them out, their art is amazing and I love their ideas. Also looking forward to their rewrite!)
Is there some technical issues with the books as well that bug me? Yes. (The later books are very over saturated in comparison to the older ones and it kinda shows, and I believe that Motherstone already touched upon the “smoothification” that started taking place about book 4/5, and there were quiet a few panels that felt very unfinished in the later two books)
Am I sad to see the series end? Yes. But Kazu at least finished as best he could to the end instead of half assing it or completely dropping the series altogether, and I can respect that.
Do I already have my own post-book 6 AU that I’m willing to ramble about at the drop of a hat? Also Yes. (May also heavily be influenced by some OCs)
Overall, I enjoyed Amulet enough to see it through the end. Books 3-5 will remain my favorites. I still will cherish the characters that we got. Amulet is probably the first thing that actually got me into interacting with Fanart and Fandom, so I’d say it’s a pretty big part of what developed me. And for the newbies. Hi! I see you! I look forward to seeing what you do with the series!
See y’all around!
(And btw, if you drop something in my ask box, I’ll apologize in advance if I don’t get to it. I tend to forget I have one)

"Y'know I really don't think you guys need to do this, actually-"
Soul winces as the obscured cultist to his left secures his restraints a little too tightly, the one on his right straightening him further upright in the funky ritual chair as the head honcho is approached by yet another obedient underling.
"I mean really, I think you've got the wrong guy!"
The cult leader, lifting up the received helmet – which looks a lot like a large seashell if it had a deathtrap of teeth in it – turns back towards him, speaking in the most casual matter-of-fact for someone leading a brainwashed army. "No, we're certain we finally found who we're looking for. Just sit still for a moment."
"I really rather'd not—" He feels his shoulders knot up while he tries to pull his head back as far away from the encroaching man and his death hat that he's very much hating how close is getting to his face now.
"Just accept its grace, and let it awaken you anew."
He swears he can actually feel himself sweating bullets when the underside of the teeth coming into direct view splay out to let loose about a bajillion fucked-up tongue things, leading Soul's next moments to be him pathetically attempting to squirm out from the chair he's tied to, a sudden and jarring sensation of having his forehead chewed on, and what felt like his brain being directly plugged into before everything goes completely dark.
And then he blinks.
Soul's standing now, arms held in front of him like he just took a drop off the stairs and somehow landed on just his feet. He's even looking around… somewhere. It's still pretty dark here, but with black and red checkerboard tile flooring, and thick red curtains draped around the walls, with the ceiling – oh nevermind, there is no ceiling. He won't be looking up again.
This somewhere feels almost familiar.
Taking a very cautious breath, he doesn't quite move yet while looking down at his hands – fingers still stretched outright to catch himself – and furrowing his eyebrows at the very nice, fancy striped black suit he's now wearing, contrasting red tie including. Damn, he's even got matching black shoes for this.
Before he even has the chance to make sense of any of this, or any of the this from directly beforehand (dream on, kiddo), he actually jumps a couple feet in the air like a goddamn cat or something when the sound of someone else's shoes step into vie- oh my god what the fuck is that. It's like if someone made a claymation little devil goatman but then dropped its face on the floor and-
"Okay, this is just cruel and unusual punishment." God even its voice is like if sandpaper and gravel had an ugly baby together- "Okay, okay, enough; I get it. This form is absolutely vile, can we move on from that for a minute."
Soul sputters. "You can hear my thoughts?"
"That, or the narration. Now can we please just get to the point already, this is bad enough as it is." The little devil runs its long, spindly fingers away from the dark mask around its eyes and over its red, bald little head with an exasperated sigh and then glares at him with its nonexistent pupils.
"I finally have someone compatible to be inside. You will now 'awaken' and have the entirety of a cult at your command, and eventually be the host for some old god to do whatever it wants with you as you gain unimaginable power over the world, and probably everything else. Sound good?"
Soul soon wins the record for most amount of blinks done in a second before throwing his hands out like tossing confetti. "What- No!"
"Exactly!"
He recoils as the little devil rips its fingers away from one of its bent horns and points at him. "It's all boring prophecy bullshit, and I don't even get a say in any of it! You're the one I'm stuck with now, so let's do something about it – Chaos, madness, the mariachi; Literally anything else!"
"I do like chaos," Soul nods in agreement.
"Fantastic. Let's fuck shit up, then."
His stare pauses at the freaky outstretched hand reaching up to him, its teeth that are just as sharp as his both grinning and grimacing until Soul shrugs and goes in for the handshake, the two of them now smiling like idiots as the demon then snaps its other fingers. He can clearly see the cultists raising their arms despite there being something over the top of his head, the grand announcing of the leader quickly fading into hearing.
"—kened! Release our new lord from his shackles!"
The weight around his body soon falls away, a truly deranged grin rising on his face as he booms out before anyone else can speak.
"Gentlemen –" A wave a murmurs startle around him as he shoots up onto his feet, the imagery of long, conniving fingers rubbing together as Soul then cracks his knuckles. "There's been a change of plans."

I've Got The Bull By The Horns 1/5
Captain Solok/Captain!Reader
Tumblr media
🫧Warnings: Xenophobic themes, harsh language, ANGST
🫧Notes: Reader is femme aligned, most referred to the in 2nd person, this is an AO3 reupload!
There was absolutely no doubt in your mind that Captain Solok was the person you hated most in life. Everything he did, everything he said, made you want to just tear your hair out. He was so infuriating, so pompous, so utterly full of himself that some days you simply refused to believe he was Vulcan at all. You knew full well that your opinion was not exclusive, many DS9 personnel despised him, though perhaps only Captain Sisko’s hatred measured up to your own. Upon finding out that once again, Solok would be docking the T’kumbra here for repairs, you slammed your hand down on your station.
“What’s the matter Commander?” Major Kira came up behind you and placed her hand tenderly on your shoulder. She was always so thoughtful in that way.
“Solok is the matter, I can’t stand him. I’d rather die than have to see his smug face ever again.” You said through gritted teeth. Something about him just ignited such uncontrollable rage inside of you. You knew why, but you’d be damned before you’d ever admit it.
“Don’t say that, there’s no way he’s that bad.” Kira mused.
“Oh but he is, he is that bad. He’s the most arrogant, privileged, obnoxious person I've ever had the misfortune to meet. I’d be perfectly happy to hear he’d fallen off the face of Vulcan, never to be seen again.”
“Why? I know why Benjamin has such a problem with him, but why do you?”
You let out a long sigh. “It’s a long story.”
“I’ve got time. Tell you what, we’ll have a girl’s night and you can tell me all about it. Besides, don’t you want to hear about who I’m seeing?” Kira whispered playfully in your ear, she always knew what to say to get you to agree. The prospect of relaxing with Kira after your shift sounded nice anyway, even if you would have to talk about Solok at some point. Rest had been escaping you lately.
“Count me in. I’ll meet you at Quark’s after our shifts.”
“I’ll be waiting.” She smiled, bid you a good rest of your day, and headed off to continue with her duties.
As soon as she was out of sight, you let your shoulders slump. Sighing, you rubbed a hand across your forehead. You really didn’t want to talk about Solok with her, or with anyone. But if it had to happen, better to confide in Kira than anyone else. You knew that you probably should have gone to a counselor after what had happened with him, but the prospect of working your feelings away had won out over your better judgment. Nonetheless, you had already agreed to it, there was no backing out now.
-
Nervously, you made your way down the promenade to Quark’s. You picked at the edges of your uniform cuffs, a bad habit from the academy you’d never been able to kick. You knew Kira would be waiting for you, but stalling sounded wonderful.
“Y/N! There you are, what took you so long?”
Kira bounded over and greeted you with a hug. She was a new person now that she’d moved on from Shakar, it warmed your heart to see her so happy. A small part of you resented her for it, you wish you’d turned out that way, but Solok had made you bitter. It bothered you, this wasn’t who you wanted to be. Some days you didn’t even recognize yourself or who you’d become. The experience had turned you sour, made you resentful and vengeful, always fighting the urge to let your temper rip on some unsuspecting soul. Only Kira seemed to be able to stand you these days, and only because she was so relentlessly optimistic.
“Got caught up with something.” You mumbled, looking down at your shoes. It wasn’t entirely a lie, you were reading Solok’s pre-docking briefing. He’d be here at 0700 tomorrow, and would stay for over a week. A whole week with Solok stalking around in your peripherals sounded like the most miserable experience possible.
“Alright, tell me what’s wrong. Solok’s arrival has been bothering you all day, don’t think Julian and Miles didn’t notice and let me know.” Kira led you to a quiet table in the back by your elbow, two raktajino’s already waiting. Seeing that Kira had ordered yours the way you liked it- hot, double sweet, extra cream- made you feel more relaxed. Settling in to your quiet little corner and taking a sip of your drink, you smiled into your cup as it warmed your insides.
“So, what’s going on?” Kira prompted, never one to stall.
“It’s just, Solok and I…it’s complicated. During our early days as lieutenants, we served together on the Hermes, we were very close. I don’t really remember when it started, but at some point we became…involved with each other. It lasted for a while, and we were going strong until he got promoted. Once he did, he went for it and never looked back. I didn’t know he’d been transferred until I asked the computer where he was, he’d never even bothered to tell me. Low and behold, I did some digging to find out where he’d gone and found he was a Vulcan supremacist and had been hiding it from me. I wasted so much time fooling around with him and he never cared for me at all. He’s nothing but a no-good, two-faced, xenophobic liar! I loved him and he never gave a damn about me. He broke my heart, that’s why I can’t stand him. That’s why I don’t want him around, that’s why I'd love to go back to my quarters and just curl up and die.”
The look on Kira’s face had not been what you were expecting. Some surprise you had anticipated, but complete and utter shock had not been a prediction.
“Oh, wow. That’s…not at all what I was expecting. Solok and you were together?”
Sighing heavily, you classed your hands tight on the table to maintain an outward look of composure. Even thinking about Solok made you sick to your stomach. It hurt to explain yourself because deep down underneath all the anger and hurt, you still loved him. It was no use lying to yourself and trying to pretend like he didn’t consume your every waking thought and wasn’t the object of all your desires. Just the idea that he had been using you for your body made you want to shrink in on yourself and never utter another sound for as long as you lived.
“It’s not something I'm proud of. All he ever did was take advantage of my feelings for his own personal gain. Having him here for the week is going to make me lose my grip on my life again, I can’t let that happen. It was nothing short of a miracle that I was on Bajor the last time he was here, maybe I can convince Sisko to let me take the week off.”
“But running away from him won't solve anything!” Kira protested. “Clearly this hurts you more than you’re willing to admit. I think the two of you need to have a talk, lay everything out on the table so you can truly be at peace. I mean, how long have you had this cloud hanging over you?”
Putting your head in your hands, you sighed again. Kira was right, serenity escaped you because you lived every day with this open wound. It would be hard to talk to him, but it would be well worth the strife in the end. Peeking out from between your laced fingers, you noticed that at some point it had gotten late. Most of the patrons had left for their quarters and Quark was tidying up to close for the evening. You were on alpha shift tomorrow, staying up any later would make Solok’s arrival that much harder.
“I’ll do it. I can’t keep living like this, I need to let him go.”
Kira’s arm ran comfortingly up and down your own. “That’s the spirit.” She smiled warmly before pushing out her chair. “We’d best get to bed, you need the rest more than anyone tonight.”
Nodding, you copied her motions and went to return your mugs to Quark before following Kira out onto the promenade. The two of you walked in comfortable silence until you reached the habitat ring and had to part ways. She enveloped you in a long hug.
“Sleep well, ok? I’ll be there with you tomorrow, everything's going to be ok.”
“Thank you.” You murmured into her shoulder. “Good night.”
Kira bid you pleasant dreams and went on her way, leaving you to walk the short distance to your quarters. Upon returning, the moment the door closed behind you, you collapsed onto your bed. There was no energy left in you to change into nightclothes or sort yourself out, you just needed to sleep. Deactivating the lights. You curled up under your blankets and drifted off, willing tomorrow to never come.
