theory: Arren Kae was to Kreia what the Exile was to Atris.

Oh I love the idea that if Arren and Kreia were two different people, they had dynamics similar to the Exile and Atris. Since I also ship female Exile x Atris, that means I imagine Arren and Kreia were gay for each other. The idea that Arren and Kreia had similar dynamics to the Exile and Atris would also add more parallel between Kreia and Atris.

In fact, Kreia x Arren is literally the only ship involving Kreia that I actually like. Kreia x anyone else is a NoTP for me.

Femslash February 2018: Week One

Partly because I wanted to share this with you guys, and partly because I wanted to get this all down in writing so I don’t forget about any of the ideas, I thought I’d share my plans for the Femslash February season. I’ll post an updated version of the list every Sunday to report my progress. I’m also planning on doing the Femslash Big Bang monthly challenges this year, so if I don’t get all of this out in one month (which I’m certainly not going to manage), I still plan to write as much of it as I can. This is the year of the crackship!

Written and Published:

- Getting the Hint (Star Wars: KOTOR II, 1.5k words, rated G)—Exile x Atris; just a light fic that takes advantage of the fact that I head canon Atris as being Echani.

- fata morgana (La Belle et La Bête 2014, 390 words, rated M)—a Belle x The Princess/Wood Nymph fic from the 2014 La Belle et La Bête film. Has the dubious honor of being the first M-rated fic I’ve ever written that wasn’t dark as all hell. Though I’d be lying if I said it was especially happy.

In-Progress:

- A Star Wars: Rebels Hera x Numa fic set pre-canon on Ryloth. Hera and Numa are preteens, 12-13ish. It will be rated T, but not because of sexual content; there’s other reasons for that. Currently at 7.7k words. I’m planning on posting this to Femslash Big Bang on AO3 once it’s done.

- A Star Wars/Star Wars: Rebels Sabine x Amilyn fic set on Hoth. May wind up being pretty gen, since it’s going to be their first major conversation and Sabine really doesn’t strike me as a “love/attraction at first sight” person.

Planning on writing at some point:

- A Star Wars: Rebels Ketbine fic set on Nar Shaddaa, while they were both living as bounty hunters. Ketsu decides to try to cheer up Sabine.

- A Star Wars: Rebels Ketbine fic set on Yavin.

- A Star Wars Sabine/Leia fic that focuses on a theme of guilt.

- A Star Wars Leialyn fic. I don’t have any idea of what the fic might be about; I just want to write a fic with this ship.

- A Star Wars Padmé/Eirtaé fic, focusing on changing your first impressions.

- A Star Wars Padmé/Sabé fic; same deal as with the Leialyn fic, I don’t know what it’s going to be about, I just want to write the ship.

- Another Atris x Exile fic. Not sure what this will be about; it might be an AU.

- Also from KOTOR, I was thinking maybe an Exile x Bastila fic. Would have to be set post-KOTOR II.

- A Chronicles of Narnia Susan x Lasaraleen fic. Again, only the vaguest of ideas what it will be about.

- A Silmarillion Finduilas x Nimloth fic, with Nimloth trying to figure out if there’s any aspects of the great outdoors that Finduilas actually likes.

- A Silmarillion Aredhel x Lúthien fic; an AU based loosely on one of the earlier drafts of the Silm, set post-Dagor Bragollach in the Taur-nu-Fuin.

- Another Aredhel x Lúthien fic, also AU, and this one a bit happier, where they both decide to travel away from Beleriand together.

- From Silmarillion/Lord of the Rings, maybe an Arwen x Fíriel of Gondor fic, set post-Fall of Arthedain.

- Umineko: An AU Kyrie x Asumu fic that isn’t hate-shipping; as you can imagine, Rudolf never crosses either of their paths.

- DuckTales (2017) Lena x Webby fic. Cat’s cradle will be involved.

Favorite character: If I’m going to pick just one from the whole series, it would be Kreia. She remains one of, if not the most complex, well-written and interesting fictional character I’ve encountered in any media, not even just in Star Wars. It’s extremely rare to see an elder woman character who is the most important character in the story other than the protagonist. There are so many things about Kreia’s character that are worth analyzing, so I can never get enough Kreia meta.

Since Kreia is from KotOR 2, I would like to mention that my favourite character from KotOR 1 is Juhani. In addition to being the very first confirmed gay character in both Star Wars and BioWare games, Juhani has an amazing story arc and without mods, her romance is easily my favourite from the entire KotOR series.

Least Favorite character: There are two: Carth and G0-T0. I liked Carth when I played KotOR for the first time, since KotOR was the first video game I played where you can pursue a romance. However, after playing more and more video games and discovered better characters and romance options, now I just find Carth a boring and mediocre character. I’ve grown out of the “swooning over angsty white dudes” phase. Not to mention talking to him as a lesbian Revan is a pain in the ass since without the Bi Carth mod, you can’t make him stop flirting with you.

As for G0-T0, while he does provide some interesting perspective, it doesn’t make his personality any less insufferable. I especially do not like how he blames the Exile for the destruction of Peragus, because the Exile wouldn’t even be on Peragus in the first place if G0-T0 didn’t hire that HK-50 unit to capture the Exile.

5 Favorite ships (canon or non-canon): Female Revan x Bastila x Juhani, Female Exile x Visas, Atton x Bao-Dur, Male Exile x Atton, Female Exile x Atris.

Character I find most attractive: Visas

Character I would marry: Yuthura, particularly if she leaves the Sith.

Character I would be best friends with: Mira

a random thought: I’m forever grateful for the fact that the KotOR games can be modded since it allows the existence of many great mods to improve this old video game series throughout the years. This had definitely inspired me to make my own mods as well.

An unpopular opinion: I actually enjoy the Peragus level in KotOR 2 a lot. I like the survival horror atmosphere of the level. Peragus is where Kreia and Atton, two of my favourite characters in the entire KotOR series, are introduced. The level is also where T3-M4 starts to shine and show their development since KotOR 1.

my canon OTP: Female Revan x Juhani

Non-canon OTP: Female Exile x Visas

most badass character: The Jedi Exile. They’re badass not just because they’re the player character, but also they’re a survivor through and through: despite their trauma and everything happening to them before and during the events of KotOR 2 - Malachor V, losing their connection to the Force, the Jedi Purge - they survive all that and that indicates the strength of their character.

pairing I am not a fan of: Female Revan x Carth and Female Exile x Mical are the main ones.

character I feel the writers screwed up (in one way or another): Bastila. I feel like making her a romance option for the male player character exclusively causes problems to her writing. Bastila is supposed to be the Jedi authority on the Ebon Hawk and practically the PC’s handler since she knows all along about the whole Revan’s brainwashing thing, and yet none of these things are properly addressed when it comes to her relationship with the PC. Instead, Bastila’s romance is little more than a “defrosting the Ice Queen” arc since a lot of the male PC’s dialogue during the romance are very pushy. It seems like the writers didn’t want to make Bastila threatening to the male PC’s power fantasy since she is a potential love interest.
