'Dear Kocho, I invite you to a sleepover at my estate! These days have been very stressful for me and I would like to have a good time with my friend! Confirm to my raven if you will come or not. Sincerely: Kanroji Mitsuri', Shinobu mused for a moment, she couldn't just leave like that, she had to check on the patients, make their medicines, take care of the girls and...

Wow, she hadn't realized that almost all his time she was investing it in the organization, perhaps, Mitsuri was not the only one who was stressed...

'Tell Kanroji that thank you very much for the invitation, I will go'

Shinobu arranged everything that was necessary, entrusted Aoi and Kanao to the care of the estate, finished the medicines, and annoyed Giyuu. Now, she could already take a little break.

'Ahhh!! shinobu!! Did you come!! pass pass!! Are you at home! Feel free to do what you want' 'Thank you very much Mitsuri-San'

For almost 2 hours they talked about their day to day, they ate, they got ready, you know, normal things that happen in all sleepovers

'So how is Iguro-San as a couple?' 'It's totally adorable~! Kyaa! It is so beautiful! So thoughtful!', Mitsuri took a pillow and covered her face while waving her legs excitedly.

'I'm happy for you Kanroji' 'And you Kocho? Someone catch your eye?' 'I don't have time for such things', Mitsuri took the pillow off her face; poor Shinobu, she works so much and has no free time, she thought.

Mitsuri approached Kocho, trying to give her a hug.

'You don't need to be like this Kocho, I understand you' 'I'm fine Kanroji, there's nothing to worry about', Mitsuri mused a little until she knew exactly what to do.

It always worked in these cases...'Nice try, Mitsuri' 'H-Huh?! Kohohocho!', well, almost always

'Hohohow did you knohahahaw?' 'You were very predictable. Did you think I wouldn't notice? It might work with Tomioka, Sanemi, Muichiro or Obanai, but... not with me'

'Kyahahaha! Kocho! Plehehehease!' Mitsuri fell backwards as she twisted from side to side trying to evade the fingers that slid around her sides.

'Ahahahaha! Shihinobuhuhu! Nohoho thahahat! Sohohohorry! Eahahahahaha!' 'What's up Kanroji? It's not so funny when you're the lee, huh?', well, it was true, Mitsuri liked to make fun of how ticklish her victim was, but now it's not so funny anymore

'Hmmm... Hey Kanroji, on a scale of 1 to 10. How ticklish are you?' 'Ehehehehe?! Gyahahahaha! Shinobu! Nohohoho!! Wahahahahit!'

'What do you expect? I do not believe that. What's up, are you very ticklish? What happened when Tomioka asked to wait? You were laughing, I think this would be payback,' Mitsuri let out a squeal as Shinobu found a particularly sweet spot.

'Yohohou ahahahasked for ihihit!' 'Ha-! No! Mihihitsuhuhuri! Ahahahahaha!' 'Tahahahake thihihis!', Mitsuri stood up, dancing her fingers around Shinobu's waist, smiling as she tried not to smile or laugh.

'Hahahahaha! Mitsuri! Hohohold on! Yohohour nahahails!' 'Yeah? What's wrong with my nails? Do they tickle you? Come on Shinobu, I already laughed, now it's your turn!', or that was what Mitsuri thought would happen, she didn't expect Shinobu to direct her fingers to her sides again.

'Gahahaha! Shinobu! Ahahahahaha! HAHAHAHAHA! NOHOHOT THAHAHAHAT!' 'Whahahat's wrohohong? Hmmmm! KAHAHAHANROJI!'

Almost 1 whole minute lasted that little fight (if I could call it that?).

'GHIHIIVE UHUHUP' 'YOHOHOU FIHIHIRST!' 'AT THE SAME TIME!'

'1...2...3', and so they finally parted ways.

'Yohohou're terrible, Kohocho!' 'You tohoho!', well, I guess that ended it all.

'Good job Shinobu, but I'm still a better ler than you' 'You? I don't think so, I'm better', or... maybe not, well apparently the above was just the first round

worst ship: aside from incest and pedophilia ones i hate zenitsu x nezuko. zenitsu is a creep and she deserves better than him. i also think kanao and tanjiro dont really make sense, i only ever saw them as friends, they didnt have any real chemistry and that comment kanae made about finding a husband with the coin flipping thing grossed me out. also i think aoi and inosuke talked like. twice. i dont get that ship either.

A random thought: i really love gotouge's style. the way they draw eyes and hair is so charming. i especially love how unique the eye designs for each character is.

An unpopular opinion: saying kny is good is like saying naruto is good. it has its very excellent moments but otherwise the overall writing is pretty messy.

My Canon OTP: none lol the romance in this manga is. well.

My Non-canon OTP: the tsugikuni-kamado polycule is canon in my heart

Idk if its unpopular but like some characters are....badly written. I dont like it when gotouge introduces characters like assholes or suspiciously to do an AHA twist moment! This person is actually nice and/or tragic! Tho it still works on me. Also its a naruto 2.0

SHINOMITSU: i... i really like lesbians...  i think the aesthetic here would be really cool and cute too because it’s like angry lesbian and happy lesbian?  the only reason i haven’t looked into writing it more is because i’ve mild dupe anxiety with both of them, so the idea of writing with another shinobu or mitsuri (mostly shinobu bc i feel like mine is bad) is like AHHHHH. but i think they’re really cute and i’d be interested in exploring it more, even if it were just exploring the concept of their friendship.

???:  i don’t actually have a lot of biases w/ shinobu.  i’d love to write her with some of the other hashira, but for the most part the age gaps w/ characters in either direction are a little uncomfortable.  i think someone who could get her to open up would be best for her.  someone who is either a calming force or, like mitsuri, is very happy and positive and can get her to see the light in the world.  she’s very stuck in her mind and in her own way of doing things. i really love her, i really like writing her getting close to people, but that process is also very difficult for her because she’s so so so scared of losing people. 

GIYUSHINO: admittedly, i wasn’t entirely sold on this ship when i first started writing shinobu and it’s still something that’s kind of like... there’s some interpersonal issues here that i think are important to acknowledge.  shinobu treats giyuu very poorly and while in my headcanon it’s because she’s so wrapped up in the fear of losing someone again and it’s her attempts to keep people safe because she KNOWS she plans on dying at some point, it’s still a lot.  but i also think the hurdles are sort of what make it interesting?  i like the idea of them sort of... learning to be vulnerable w/ each other.  i think it’s rlly sweet and it makes for a potentially v soft ship with interspersed moments of hilarity.

shinomitsu opinions 😔💜💖

Okay so i was rambling on twitter abt shinomitsu, bc its a cute ship and it deserves more love AND more than just uwu lesbians 💖 bc yes thats sweet but i want mORE CONTENT

so anyways, i’ve been thinking about how shinobus whole personality is a facade (for reasons i wont mention) and i feel like she’d be rlly nervous around mitsuri bc mitsuri is so geuine and sweet so shinobu would feel bad for being fake towards her which would just translate into shinobu being standoffish towards mitsuri. Like she’d be more blunt and less ara~ ara~ than usual bc shes so nervous and maybe jealous of mitsuris niceness and she’d feel like shes mocking her.

Usually shinobu wouldn’t care if the other pillars think of her as annoying or rude (considering she bullies giyuu) but how mitsuri feels about her is rlly important for some reason 👁. I feel like shinobu is rlly calculated on how she acts depending on whos shes around and that would all fall apart around mitsuri bc she has an underlying crush on mitsuri shes ignoring.

shinobus “standoffishness” is just a tactic to keep mitsuri from finding the truth like tanjiro which makes mitsuri rlly intrigued but also sad bc she thinks shinobu doesn’t like her but she does shes just awful at processing emotions in a healthy way so it just....turns into this jddhsbsh

Like shinomitsu is sweet and stuff but i feel like their relationship would start off as awkward and rocky, like mitsuri finding it hard to talk to shinobu outside her usual demeanour and eventually realising shes not being honest but eventually coaxs shinobu out of her shell ? Overtime shinobu would feel more comfortable around mitsuri but it would only be things like sitting closer to her and i feel like shinobu would be REALLY embarrased abt holding hands in comparrison to mitsuri who literally greets everyone with a hug. But like they wouldn’t realise feelings for each other straight away at all like they’d become “best friends” and then....something clicks in both of their heads but no one says anything to “keep the friendship” 😐

Mitsuri is the type of person to take everything to heart but not show it, shes a suffer in silence type of person just like shinobu. So she’d fear shinobu hating her, but out of sheer persistence she’d unconsciously try and interact with shinobu more and more bc she cant help herself. But ofc mitsuri would be conscious of shinobus boundaries.

Over time they both grow to trust in each other and understand the reasons for their insecurities and help each other through it. It becomes more of a bond and then develops into feelings.

Like shinobu is ignoring the fact she has a crush on mitsuri and is trying to stay focused on her main goal (spoilers so i wont mention) and mitsuri just thinks her interest in shinobu is bc she ~loves everyone~ and not bc she admires and has a crush on her. Its like unknowingly requited feelings. I feel like the only people who would notice r the butterfly estate girls bc shinobu probably avoids mitsuri in public (@ the start) so ppl dont notice how weird shes acting since she can’t rlly control it. Kanao and Aoi are their biggest supporters. Himejima and uzui would notice too, giyuu and sanemi would be clueless and rengoku would just think they’re already together.
