"Shiro-sensei, why is this excise important again?" Daria wore a questioning, slightly annoyed expression to hide how anxious she actually felt about the mission in question they were supposed to be doing that day.

Not so much the mission, but what was involved in it.

The jounin in question simply turned and gave her students an encouraging smile as they walked along. "It's so you three can improve on you your comradery skills. Not just with yourselves, but with your comrades." She explained. "There are gonna be times were you're going to be paired up with others that you don't usually work with. So, us sensei's all got together and agreed that this mission might be a good opportunity for you lot." "Why this mission?" Kyosuke spoke up from beside the pink-haired kunoichi. Inosuke nodded along and made a questioning gesture. Deep down, Daria felt a little glad that they didn't so sure about the situation either. They'd had just properly started bonding as a team, and now weird to... not work as a team. "What better situation to throw you in to force you to put your trust in others." Shiro stated slightly morbidly. Smirking slightly at the disturbed/annoyed expressions on the young genins faces. "Ah. Speaking of which. Seems like everyone else is here already." Sure enough, the other teams were already gathered and waiting. Kyosuke's eyes brightened once he caught sight of his twin amongst the other genin and waved enthusiastically. Daria rolled her eyes, while Inosuke just smiled. "Alright. Go line up with the rest of the gremlins. Kakashi was tasked with pairing up the teams this time, so pray he made some good choices." Daria sighed. Hopefully, she'd get a good partner...

Daria hummed in response, looking at the Uchiha over her shoulder. "That was my guess." The pink-haired kunoichi frowns, however. Recalling the lack of information given within their scroll. "So... not much of a plan." She concludes, sighing softly. "I guess we'll just have to dig for details ourselves then. How exactly? Well she wasn't sure. But she reasons that she'll do a better job than Sasuke. She's actually approachable. Silence falls between them, and she feels awkward all over again. She hates it. Her mind scrambles to find something that would keep the peace between them... "Ahem... Thank you." Daria would say slowly. "For protecting Sakura on that mission." This was a good start, right. "I know she is a bit naive, and sometimes she can get in over her head. But she's trying to do the best she can. Ninja isn't exactly a common job occupation in our family..."

Able to tell that something was clearly still bothering the Uchiha. But she doesn't press. Instead, she nods. "Yeah, I'm ready." Pushing some hair out of her face, the kunoichi follows after him. But stops when a voice calls out. "Sasuke-kun! Daria, good luck!" Sakura is waving at them, a bright smile on her face. It makes her smile and wave back. "Good luck to you, too! And don't worry! I'll bring your boyfriend back in one piece!" She laughs at the squeak she receives, ignoring whatever else her twin hurls at her and speeds up to get ahead of Sasuke with a snicker. She may not think that the boy was good enough for her sister, but it was always fun to tease her.

Daria released a quiet breath, silently relieved as he stepped out of her space. Still... artic blue eyes follow after him curiously. Able to tell that something was clearly still bothering the Uchiha. But she doesn't press. Instead, she nods. "Yeah, I'm ready." Pushing some hair out of her face, the kunoichi follows after him. But stops when a voice calls out. "Sasuke-kun! Daria, good luck!" Sakura is waving at them, a bright smile on her face. It makes her smile and wave back. "Good luck to you, too! And don't worry! I'll bring your boyfriend back in one piece!" She laughs at the squeak she receives, ignoring whatever else her twin hurls at her and speeds up to get ahead of Sasuke with a snicker. She may not think that the boy was good enough for her sister, but it was always fun to tease her.

The sudden closeness makes Daria feel slightly uncomfortable, but she doesn’t say anything, nor show it. Instead, she stands as still as she can, eyeing the Uchiha over her shoulder.

His words make her pause, her frown deepening as she scans the missions instructions once more. Sasuke is right. Though she’s not gonna say that aloud.

“It doesn’t,” the kunoichi would say with a slow nod. “But you’re saying you feel like this could be like… that mission?” The Land Of The Waves mission. Her relief of team sevens return soon turned to concern and horror when a crying Sakura would collapse in her embrace and wryly tell her about what had happened on that mission. Not going into full detail, but whenever had happened, it left her twin shaken up. The genin had certainly taken a beating.

She wasn’t sure how much Sasuke had told Kyosuke, but something certainly sparked the desire for her teammate to request their sensei to up his training…

“I don’t think Kakashi-sensei would put us into deliberate danger,” she tries to reason. And she highly doubted that the jounin would give them a mission they didn’t think they could handle. “Maybe their just tryna intimidate us? This whole exercise does feel like a test…”

Pink brows furrowed as she read over the mission. Well. She guessed it wasn't too surprising. "Better cat catching, I guess." She said.

Daria was tempted to say he'd be lucky if his brother came back in one piece. Inosuke gave a smile shrug, signing "hope for the best" before following after the others. The kunoichi held back a ground, begrudgingly following along. She inwardly seethed as the Uchiha approached her, already wanting to punch him. But she held still, simply crossing her arms once more as she fixed her smoldering gaze towards the ground.
