Animorphs 17 is the "City on the Edge of Forever" of the series, I see.
#aka the one that is suddenly and starkly better than everything that came before it#animorphs#maybe it's just my taste#but for the first time I actually felt moved#poor Rachel having the most sickening nightmare of being infested by a mind controlling alien#then simply getting up and doing her math homework#she won't have time to do it later#she'll be going to the literal site of her nightmares#then the whole digging scene#I don't have claustrophobia at all and it was still easily the roughest description so far#and finally seeing Rachel acting alone#so different from the usual group action you get in these books#then they slowly come back together#alright animorphs I see you#to think this one started with arnold schwarzenegger making an appearance
