I’m convinced that Nesta fans only try to create incestuous undertones for Feyre wearing the dresses Rhys’ mother made for her because they’re upset that Nesta’s love story did not include anything as thoughtful or meaningful as that. They’re upset that Feyre simply wearing the dresses her deceased mother in law made for her centuries in advance blows any Nessian moment out of the water.

“She’s wearing his mother’s dresses and everyone mistakes her for Rhys’ mother” one it’s nor his mother’s dresses, it’s the dresses she specifically made for her son’s bride. His mother never wore these gowns, she made them. And not once in the books is Feyre ever mistake for Rhys’ mother because she’s…I don’t know…a white woman.

Like am I the only one who thinks it’s disrespectful to say a white woman can be mistake for a woman of color if she *checks notes* wears a dress?

i'm getting towards the end of the skypeia arc, & i'd like to say just how much i adore the way the female strawhats have been treated.

just... every aspect of how the way their characters have been previously contextualized influences the story-line is treated with a masterful amount of consideration. we're given so many layers to both of them that enrich not only their characters specifically, but the arc, and the one piece world as a whole. without nami & robin having their specific skills, and their specific values, without those being built upon, the story would have come to a halt.

you could not have skypeia without nami & robin being who they are as individuals. not just because they never would've gotten there without nami, but also because the way these women think is itself foundational to the machinations of the arc as a whole.

to be totally upfront, if you think any other strawhats were more central to the skypeia arc than nami & robin were you are full-on fucking lying to yourself.

As much as I may have issues with Stolas, and his obliviousness, I have this idea in my head of Octavia complaining to him about how bored she is and how she doesn’t really have any friends and he’s just like:

“Oh I know just the thing! Why don’t we visit the King and his family? He’s got a daughter too!”

And Via is somewhat intrigued (bc who cares to pay attention to all those lessons on royal hierarchy) and goes along with “visiting” only to find out the new Princess is a flippin’ baby and this is an anti-christening event so she just makes this face when she meets Charlie:

I think after Dragon games Apple would most likely start working on herself individually, she’ll first work by repairing her relationships with those around her and make up for her behavior towards them, She’ll start seeking therapy to help her heal from the Well trauma and afterwards fully process what she will do now with her life considering she had already followed her destiny.

I think she would start dating Darling but they would end up Breaking up in her Last Year at EAH mainly because Both of them didn’t feel at ease with their relationship being build simply because of destiny also because lack of romantic attraction, They would still remain on Good terms tho.

Apple Would end up also confessing to raven at some point about her feelings towards her but raven would end up not feeling the same, Raven explains that she does in fact love and care for apple as a friend but her feelings never went as far as that. They end up talking it out and Apple feels refreshed knowing that she did not end up losing her friend at least.

She’ll eventually graduate and start taking responsibility towards her royal duties, She’ll help her mom with The business and kingdom. She wears her glasses freely now and is in a much happier state.

She’ll end up either asexually producing(this is a fairytale world) or end up adopting one child who she loves dearly(i’ll prob make another post about that)

I love that the bg3 guys are all written to have this intense adoration of karlach and lae’zel’s abilities to absolutely eviscerate their enemies. they’ve all got the same taste in women, which is “she could gut the big scary man chasing me, and then princess carry me to safety in her blood spattered arms.” and I respect and relate to that, as a bisexual man myself.

There’s something so happy in me w/ Temperance being canonically autistic. You can make the argument she isn’t the best rep (savant syndrome stereotype + referred with having A*pergers out of canon) but like so many shows will jump through hoops to make it seem like the character who is autistic/autistic coded DOESNT have it or consistently make their autistic traits a joke but with Brennan. She’s just her. Her friends don’t make her social awkwardness a joke or point it out a lot, they just. Act like friends. She rambles a lot and people explain what they mean clearly when she requests

Jus. That she’s canonically an autistic woman. She’s autistic and it makes me so happy !!!!!!!!

I keep thinking about this book I read a few years ago that was set in a highly misogynistic and homophobic world. The main character was openly a feminist even though no one else she had ever met was, and she lambasted all the women who followed the expectations of society (you know, the society that will punish/kill them for stepping out of line). She secretly had a girlfriend for years, but when it came time for the girls to enter the marriage market, the girlfriend broke things off. The main character was shocked by this and the girlfriend is framed as betraying her for not refusing to get married (when if women don’t get married within a set amount of time they get disappeared away forever). And then when the main character escaped, she later went to find her ex and try to rescue her, but the gf (who was described as having signs of physical abuse on her face and body from her husband) refused to risk her life to run away. And the narrative seems to imply that this is the gf’s punishment for not being a big rebel willing to die like the MC??? Like there was some token attempt to have the MC realize that not every woman who followed the status quo was an evil bad person who deserves being abused, but it mostly framed them as idiots and cowards, while the MC and her new hot knife gf are the only smart brave people who can save all the women and gays all on their own.
