Kinda whish she atleast avoided the question, maybe in some way that would require actual thinking? For a character like Vaggie, she could choose either way and it feel like it's still her. If she chose to protect Charlie's dream, she would still be perfectly loyal to her but in the act of so would reveal a secret that could harm their relationship(which does happen at the end but that's because the plot wanted it like that). If she chose to side with Adam, she'd be hurting Charlie emotionally, sure, but it would keep a secret that could make Charlie see Vaggie less than who she is to her already(atleast what Vaggie might think would happen). Imo it should've been her deciding to protect Charlie, since it would mean she's devoted to her at all times.

ANOTHER THING! IF SHE COULDN'T MAKE THE CHOICE, THAT IS SOMETHING INTERESTING TO GO INTO. Maybe it could go deeper into how Vaggie doesn't know who she is without Charlie. So when she has a choice to make, like here, she can't do it without feeling the need to ask Charlie. BUT NOOO, YA HAD TO GO WITH THIS!! Wow. That was a long ass rant. Wtf 😭

I need to scream about Arcane S2 (spoilers for the whole season)

Alright, it's been 2 days since I've watched the end of Arcane, and I'm still in a bad mood over it, so I am going to scream into the void about it, and hopefully it will allow me to move on.

I do not like the second season of Arcane.

Season 1 ? Absolute banger, still love it. I love it even more after recently watching it a second time in preparation for season 2.

Season 2 though ? ... I will not go into the details (because I feel like I would need to rewatch it again to be more accurate, and I don't want to do that), so I am just going to write about how I feel about it now that it is over.

Season 2 has left me deeply unsatisfied, to say the least. I think this feeling comes from the fact that most characters' arcs look like they were either cut short, or didn't really go anywhere. This makes the entire story feel pointless; an undeniable marvel of aesthetics and animation put in service of nothing.

I could talk about a lot of the main cast, but I'll only talk about Vi, her relationship with Caitlyn, and the Zaun vs Pilltover theme.

First off : Vi, the character who fought tooth and nails for those she loved and always tried to do the right thing. Accepting responsibility for everyone who looked up to her... and got nothing for it in the end but pain. From the start of the serie, she is set up to be one of the protagonists, along with her sister and Caitlyn. Yet the story feels pervert in the way it insists to both :make Vi suffer without giving her any sort of confort or moment to express her feelings ; and make all of her actions be pointless.

In episode 8, when she says "I always make the wrong choice and lose everyone", we have to admit that from a narrative point of view, she is absolutely right. For the first time, Vi is self pitying. She's shown as vulnerable, doubtful, almost sounding like she's giving up by saying that all she ever does is useless or worse. This is incredibly out of character for her, and yet the story proves her right. Nothing she does matters in any meaningful way. She doesn't even contribute to the final battle : she gets stranded in the defence of the artillery tower (which turned out not to be a key asset in the battle), then go 1v2 Warwick with Jinx, and Jinx ends up sacrificing herself to kill it, but only AFTER the battle is over and all the narrative tension has calmed down. (Sidenote : yes yes I know it is hinted that Jinx is still alive, but still. Let's agree that it's in bad taste for a suicidal character's triumphant moment to be a reckless act of self sacrifice, independently of the outcome.)

Vi gets mistreated throughout the whole storry and gets nothing in the end despite her bravery and efforts. No matter how hard she fought, she still ends up separated from her sister and she still loses Vander. The only thing she gets in the end is a girlfriend with whom she basically had no tender moment since their breakup, making Vi feel like a rescue dog at Caitlyn's house, but let's talk about her relationship with Caitlyn in more depth.

I'll say this first : I love the sex scene. It's tender and passionate. It's a bit awkward, but in such a relatable way that it only makes the moment sweeter. It does an excellent job at showing us how the characters feel about each other. Taken on its own, it's perfect. Two people that love each other so much they just need to have each other right here, right now... I just wish their relationship around it was more fleshed out.

From what we get to see on screen, they get a really messy break up in episode 3, and then never interact again until crossing paths at the commune. In the meantime, Caitlyn has allied herself with Ambessa, declared martial law on Zaun and is oppressing it with the full extent of her legitimate violence... but upon seeing Vi again, she instantly switches side to go against Ambessa with a rushed plan.

We get absolutely no other insight into their emotions or thoughts at this moment. No scene to show that despite their conflicts and standing on opposite sides, there is still tenderness and affection between the two of them that could hint at them getting back together. Instead, Vi calls her a petname once, and it's done, no further convincing needed. (Sidenote again : this makes Caitlyn look impulsive and irrational, when everything that comes before shows us that she is smart, collected and patient. Here, she instantly abandons everything she was previously fighting for, even at the risk of putting her entire city in danger. This includes abandonning her vandetta against Jinx, which is the reason why they split up in the first place, but this isn't adressed between Vi and Cait ever again either.)

After that, Vi holds her accountable for her actions for the time of 1 dialogue.

Then they barely interact again until the jailcell scene. Hell, once the battle starts, I don't think the two of them interact AT ALL until the epilogue.

The lack of substance in the portrayal of their relationship makes this sweet and tender sex scene feel like a spur of the moment thing. An almost self-destructive action from Vi trying to scrape at any possible source of confort after being cut out by her sister. A good thing happening for the wrong reasons. (Mind you, a hate sex scene would have worked wonders in my opinion, but that's not what we got.)

So yeah, given all of that, I'm struggling to see how Vi ending up with Caitlyn is supposed to be a meaningful and happy resolution to her story, when this relationship is barely shown on screen during season 2.

Finally, let's talk about the Zaun vs Piltover situation : it goes nowhere.

An entire 5 acts showing us that Piltover treats Zaun like shit, turning it into a ghetto and leaving it to rot in its own misery . The promo campaign for season 2 teased us a revolution... and in the end, we barely see any change. The way the story resolves implies that now that Zaun and Pilltover have triumphed over a shared ennemy, they grieve together and make peace because they have learned that war comes at too high a cost, and Zaun gets to be represented by ONE councilor.

I'm sorry but either the show tried something and missed, or the show was just incredibly shallow from the beginning. This conflict was set up from the first second of the show by having the main characters be orphaned by cops in a popular uprising which only looks more and more justified as we learn more about Zaun. That is to say that Topside doesn't care about Zaunites. From what we can tell, Heimerdinger has been leading the city for 300 years, and he discovers just now that Zaun has problems ?? Piltover prides itself for being the city of progress and equality, while exploiting the misery of the people that are LITERRALY BENEATH THEM. It's the final shot of THE FIRST SCENE IN THE SHOW, the topside people are sitting ON TOP of Zaun, reaping the benefits while throwing their wastes at them.

I think there's no better illustration for how Piltover considers Zaun than the scene where Jayce announces to the Council that Silco has demanded independance. All the councilors lose their shit. They are OUTRAGED by the demand. Clearly, Piltover considers Zaun its property. People to exploit, whose need and misery they can ignore, and ultimately, a problem to be solved through the police by having them arrested/beaten up/killed.

So either the show was indeed trying to tell a story about class struggle and oppression, and failed to deliver a satisfying conclusion; or the show was only interested in the appearance and flavor of class struggle only as a vessel for the cliché of "the cycle of violence". Which hmm, yeah it's 2024. I don't think anyone needs me to write an entire section about the necessity of fighting for human rights and resisting oppression.

I could have talked about how pitfighter Vi was 60% of the promo for Season 2, and yet was done and gone in a minute, which was also what we got with the promo, or how a French animation studio decided to call an independant, pacifist and egalitarian community " The Commune" (if you know you know); I could have also talked about Jinx's character, and how the show portrays her self healing from her devouring guilt, but I'll stop rambling here. I hate that I have wrote this, because I don't want to spread negativity. I'd rather spend this kind of energy on things I love.

The thing is, I really really wish I enjoyed Arcane season 2, because season 1 means a lot to me. Vi's character awakened something in me. It is representation I never knew I needed and it changed me. I know this sounds silly. It's only a fictionnal story after all, but it helped me grow into a better and more hopeful person. In the end, I just feel like season 2 went too far too fast, and left me behind to try and pick up the pieces of my expectations. I have not yet made any posts specifically with these questions in mind, no. Just a small, unfinished, series about why I believe the ship is likely to be canon. I am happy to offer some insight, but I don't know that I'm going to give you the answers you're looking for. 😅

First and foremost, the questions you're asking aren't really ones that can be answered objectively. What makes a ship "good" or "bad" is largely subjective, as there are as many ways to view a ship as there are people viewing it. I could make an argument about how I think it is - objectively speaking - a well written pairing that follows the typical beats and tropes (with delightful subversions) of a good romance arc, that also parallels how other canon ships within RWBY have been established... but at the end of the day, if you're not a fan of what RG is about, then there's not much I can say to change your mind.

Which brings me to your second question. The best reasons to ship RG are going to be the same reasons for why anyone should ship anything: ship it if you want to, ship it if it resonates with you, and ship it if you enjoy it.

If their characters, interactions, themes, parallels, allusions, tropes, symbolisms, foils, designs, messages, etc., aren't your cup of tea, it's completely okay if you pick something else on the menu! So long as you don't like. verbally harass people that do like it or fill the tag w the same discourse that we are all very tired of seeing.

I don't know if that is a sufficient answer to your question, so I'll take a chance and also provide some of my personal reasons as to why I think it's "good" and why I ship it. While there are many reasons I can't all include, the main things are just how much they mirror each other:

From their complementary character designs (red vs. green, silver vs. gold, moon vs. sun, etc.),

To shared fairytale allusions (Little Prince and the Rose, Dorothy and Princess Ozma/Tip, Warrior in the Woods, etc.),

To the narrative parallels (both being the youngest of the group when they joined respectively; how both of their attachments to each other keep being put into focus; to their shared themes around choice and identity: Ruby having chosen adventure but feeling as if she has no choice but to keep moving forward, while Oscar was chosen by adventure but chooses to do what he can despite his circumstances; Oscar not knowing who he is because of the merge and asking: "I'm just going to be another one of his lives, aren't I?", versus Ruby not wanting to be who she is after chasing the the ghost of an unachievable ideal, but being asked "what if you could be anyone?"; how they're both just kids thrown into war and unfair responsibility before they even have a chance to figure out the kinds of people they want to be, etc.),

to perhaps, most importantly, the show of mutual support between the two of them.

Ruby supports everyone as best she can. She is always giving to and supporting others as a show companionship and leadership. But thanks to V9 and also E4 of RWBY Beyond, we know this was not sustainable or sufficiently reciprocated.

She was let down by Weiss who constantly managed to hit her right in her insecurities; let down by Blake who - even while trying to uplift her - just ended up adding more pressure by treating Ruby like a role model; to Yang and Qrow who both tried to support her as best they could, but kept comparing her to Summer in the process; to Penny having so much of her own lack of experience, stressors, and very immediate worries going on that she couldn't offer Ruby the support she needed even if she wanted to; to Jaune flipping his lid at her and pointing the blame even when he himself was guilty and knew he was out of line; to Ozpin, Qrow, Maria, Tai, Summer, Cordovin, Ironwood, etc., all being adults who could have taken responsibility or done the right thing, but fumbled or failed leaving her to pick up the pieces in their wake. But Oscar? We see it from Oscar's introduction that he - like their shared fairytale allusions - is in awe from the moment he meets her. But after one conversation about the weight of her grief, trauma, and the responsibilities she is carrying - a conversation she has not had with anyone else up to this point - he immediately sees how heavy Ruby's burdens are. Saying, as early as V5: "This must be really hard on her too". And while it is subtle, he never stops looking after her as best he can as the volumes go onward ("Looks like you're needed elsewhere."/"You're sure?"/"Yeah, I've got it."). However, it's only in V9 that her sister Yang is asking "why didn't she just talk to us?". It is only in V9 when her partner Weiss admits: "Maybe it's because she didn't feel like she could". It is only V9 when Ruby finally lays her burdens out to someone else again, this time to the Blacksmith, after almost having given up completely.

For a character who's 116 episode long arc has been about carrying the weight of responsibility far beyond her limits, never asking for anything in return no matter how difficult it gets... to meet another character that instantly notices her struggles and makes a conscious effort to help where all others have failed? To have one conversation and say "that looks heavy, let me help you carry that" without her asking or waiting for an answer? It's just one of the most beautiful acts of care I can think of. The themes and the parallels all resonate very strongly with me on a personal level, making it - in my humble opinion - a brilliant, and very stable foundation for a relationship, and for a story.

Heeeyy, I'm back with a new Helluva Boss opinion post thingy

Okay so, the Mammon episode- it was alright I guess? Tbh it didn't strike me as super awesome or anything, it's just kinda there?

Anyway, let's talk about it a little bit!

So I wanted to start off with Mammon himself, I'm gonna be honest I don't hate him but I don't like him either. I'll admit I do actually like his voice, I'm sure y'all might find it annoying but I dunno, I like his accent and the way he talks is kinda funny. His design tho? Eh, it could use some work.

For instance, his eyes are weird, like every time he was on screen my first thought was always: "Wow, he looks like Robin from TTG". I also hate how he's shaped like your typical "fat" character from cartoons. But for some reason they decided to give him skinny arms but a round body. He's weirdly disproportionate, which is disappointing because they definitely could make a better plus sized character design. But oh well, knowing Viv, she wouldn't even try.

I will admit his true demon form is kinda cool, except that I actually thought he was going to be a caterpillar or something but he's a spider? I swear, Viv has some weird design choices.

Moving on, the episode was cluttered as hell. It had way too much stuff in it, which made the episode feel eternal. Not only that but the episode has 4 songs.. FOUR FUCKING SONGS- When will Viv realize that not every HB episode needs a song? Like is this shit an animated series or a fucking musical? Make up your mind Viv-

Anyway, I'm glad this episode focuses on Fizz, but his character did feel a bit off in certain scenes, but aside from that everything else was fine. (I found that scene of Fizz talking to the deaf imp child while using sign language to be very endearing).

Alright, I'mma point out a few other things real quick:

Ozzie's relationship with Fizz is absolutely adorable and I love them so much. However I don't understand why they portray their relationship as a bad thing? Like, fucking Queen Bee is dating Vortex (who's a hellhound, and they are a lower class than imps) and nobody says anything and she's a sin- so why can't Ozzie do the same??

I also happen to noticed that Fizz and Mammon's relationship is similar to Angel Dust and Valentino's- I just hope they don't completely butcher my boy Fizz, because he's the ONLY character I genuinely like from this god awful series.

Edit: I find it outrageous that Fizz apologized to Blitzo in the previous episode for the accident and claims that yes, he was affected by it but he's gotten over it. Yet here, he's super insecure about it and seeks approval from Mammon. It doesn't make sense- I swear it's like the characters are evolving backwards (as in the character development just resets and they act like nothing happened).

I also just wanted to say that this character made me feel super uncomfortable throughout the episode (which I guess is the point, but honestly they didn't need to add him.) Like, was it really necessary to include this Reddit mod, Discord user incel with an obsessive personality to the episode? He doesn't really contribute much other than to probably trigger people who have dealt with some form of harassment like this, and to make Fizz look super helpless so that Blitzo can defend him.

Blitzo didn't contribute anything to the episode, they didn't need to add him either. Like we get it he's the main character but that doesn't mean he has to be in every fucking episode doing absolutely nothing other than saying a bunch of curse words or shooting someone.

In conclusion, I didn't like this episode that much. I was expecting more to be completely honest.

synopsis : bada and haneul’s relationship seems to have a big gap due to the absence of the taller girl. meanwhile, bada and her team is in trouble as they try to find a solution to their new found obstacle.

warning : mental breakdown, lowercase intended

the hydrangea bouquet lay coldly on the countertop, the petals still fresh, the deep blue color still catch anyone’s eyes as they look in. too bad that no one really paid their minds to it, not right now when the quiet sobs could be heard throughout the hallway of haneul's apartment.

"wait until when? bada i have rotted here, waiting for you for months? years?", the shivering voice came out of haneul's mouth as she spoke to bada on the other end of her phone "never once would you be here on our anniversary, not a single time through this entire two year relationship."

the soft hiccups start coming up to her throat as haneul ended the phone call. her hands moving up to hide her face, the tears staining both her cheeks and hands as she tries to wipe them away sloppily.

"why am i always the second choice? why am i always being put after her work? am i not enough?", the soft mumbles leave her mouth, the defenseless hand dropped down onto her bed as haneul started to calm for a while. her eyes moving their target to the now seemingly "lifeless" bouquet on the table.

the cold sensation hit her as she drags her body towards the flowers, the bright blue color seems so dull in her eyes, so pathetic. haneul knows fully well the meaning of hydrangea, in fact, she's the one who told bada about it.

"an apology for the person she loves, for being so busy she can't even bat an eye to me", haneul smile, not the bright one that she usually gives like when she's with bada. this smile, tastes so bitter in her mouth, so so bitter that she didn't even realize when a tear sneakily ran down her cheek. not until she fully breaks as she let her body drop down to the ground.

"did something happen?", lusher asked, noticing the redness in the corner of bada's eyes.

the tall girl closes the meeting room's door behind her, a soft smile showing up on her face as she shakes her head, assuring her team that she's alright.

all eyes are on bada, everyone knows that bada is anything but "fine" right now, not after their team leader went out to take a phone call from her girlfriend with a bright smile on her face, and came back with tears stained cheeks and a seemingly bitter smile that bada tried to mask as a "reassurance" for her team.

"alright, i'll need you guys to finish the design, all the drafts, all the planning. find the fitting venues, restaurants, everything, the list should be done by tonight", bada speak up, her voice cracked a little in the beginning but was soon fixed to her normal tone, her eyes scanning across the room to make eye contact with everyone, making sure that her team all understand the deadline.

"bada, there's a change from the usual flower shop we work with", lusher said, her eyes meeting bada's from across the big table as she speaks, "they seem to be working with another wedding planning team right now, i tried calling them but they turned down our offer this time. i also told sowoen to check back on them a few days later but they made an excuse about having a shortage of flowers for their other business partners."

the taller girl noticeably furrows her brows, a sharp pain hit her head again, causing her to close her eyes as she massages the side of her head to soothe it down.

"what shall we do, leader?", sowoen asked, her eyes focusing on bada's form as she grows concerned over the situation, the orange haired girl biting her lower lip as she waits for the older girl to answer.

"does anybody know of a flower shop where they could do wedding's decoration?", bada's soft voice soon speaks, her eyes still closed and her brows still furrow from the pain. a million thoughts running through her mind as she tried to figure out a solution to this newfound obstacle "lusher, sowoen, you two should have told me this sooner. i have to talk to our client tomorrow, and we don't have a place to entrust their wedding flowers with. what do you think our client will say? how unprofessional is that?"

a sudden silence filled the room as bada’s words echoed throughout it, causing an intensely uncomfortable atmosphere to engulf the place as everyone turns their eyes away from their leader. lusher sneaks a few peaks at bada as she fidgets her fingers under the table, the guilt filling up her heart when she sees how bada close her eyes tighter due to the sharp pain going through her leader's head.

lusher knows about bada's health, she knows how bad it is after the countless nights that bada stayed up to finish up all the planning from the team to present a final draft, or when bada would run around from place to place just to get things done the way the bride wants. lusher knows bada is a workaholic, she also knows bada has high standards for everything she does, and that sometimes equivalates to bada overworking herself to the point where she would have to be forced to stop. the person to stop her, many times, would be lusher. even to this day, the occassional pain from bada's head is a constant warning for her to stop being so harsh on herself. but lusher knows her leader, she knows that bada wouldn't stop.

the reason why lusher didn't tell bada is because she doesn't want bada to worry. she doesn't want bada to stress out over finding a new flower shop when she already has so much on her plate. so lusher hid it away from bada, lusher tried to resolve it on her own, calling places, tried to call the old flower shops that they worked with, but to no avail. and this time, she once again couldn't help her leader, she once again failed as a sub-leader who could take up responsibilities to guide the team. that fact makes the guilt in her heart eat her up alive.

lusher was pulled back into the meeting as soon as she heard her leader's voice, a slight startle as she was so deep in thought.

"no one?", bada opens her eyes, her pain seems to subsided for as she positions herself to sit straight again, looking at her team. her brows still furrow, and her voice seems to be much more serious than before.

"you usually buy flowers for your girlfriend right? why don't you ask that shop about it?", minah speak up, her voice high as she enthusiastically verbalizes her opinion, providing bada a solution to the situation as she look at her leader's face, a smile displaying on her face brightly as she waits for the answer.

however, the younger girl's expression quickly turns into a painful one as the girl sitting beside her – lusher – quickly pinched her on the outer thigh of her right leg.

"don't say that", lusher whispers underneath her breath, small enough for everyone to question what she just said, but loud enough for minah to catch it. in response to that minah just gives lusher a questionable look as she look at the smile on lusher's face. the sub-leader ignored this as she waves her hand towards bada, teling bada to continue.

despite lusher's effort to stop minah from speaking any further about the sensitive topic, the tall girl seems to be quiet after what minah had said, her eyes look unfocused as her right index finger taps against the surface of the meeting table.

bada had been buying flowers for haneul every anniversary, it's like a tradition for her to do. although this tradition didn't start in the beginning of their relationship, bada seems to have developed it after they went to that small flower shop at the corner of the road in the city.

it's always a hydrangea flower bouquet. never once did bada change it to another type. she didn't buy it because of the meaning, no, she bought it because she always wanted the one she loves to smile just as brightly as the day she first bought that hydrangea bouquet for her.

yet . .

a sigh leave bada's mouth, her body relaxes as she shifts her focus back to the meeting. "you can get back to work now, just focus on the other tasks, i still need you to get it done by tonight, i'll talk to the flower shop i know", bada said, standing up from the chair she recently just sat in and walking away from the meeting room.

Do you think any of the Donna criticisms is valid? Or do you think fans are being to harsh. Also I find it cringy that some fans bleep out letters in the characters names. Like grow up

I think Donna, like every other character, has her flaws but I have not seen any recent discussion in the fandom about them. The "criticisms" I have seen recently are not ones I believe the show/canon supports. I don't think the newer fans are being too harsh, just inaccurate. They are coming to conclusions not based on canon, but on their own interpretation. Which is fine. It's just not my thing.

The greatest hits:

Donna thinks she's better than Eric.

No, she doesn't. There's little to no evidence of this in the series. On the contrary, Donna is one of the people in Eric's life who builds him up and helps him develop his self-confidence. She tells Eric - and others - constantly what she likes so much about him and their relationship. She doesn't take him for granted - she is obsessed with that boy! People who say otherwise are just cherry-picking (or they truly don't understand the show).

In her own words:

"You wanna know how I feel? Fine, I'll tell ya how I feel. [Opens to random page of her diary] Today at lunch I was looking at Eric when he didn't know it and I just couldn't believe how much I love him and how lucky I am to be with him." -S3E22

Donna never apologizes/the show puts her on a pedestal and acts like she never does anything wrong.

Simply not true. Donna is actually shown to be very reflective and can own her part in conflict (especially with Eric). Just off the top of my head:

S2E20 "Kiss of Death", she and Eric have a conversation where she admits she overreacted and explains why she thinks she did

S2xE6 "Vanstock", she admits she overreacted and tells Eric he's a really great boyfriend

S4xE7 "Uncomfortable Ball Stuff", she apologizes to Eric at the end of the episode and they both agree to figure out their new normal

S4xE27 and S5xE1, she apologizes to Eric for Casey and her role in their conflict all season

S6xE21 "5:15", she admits Eric was right about Mitch and goes to support him in fighting him

S6xE18 "Do You Think It's Alright?", at the end of the episode she admits Eric was right and forks don't matter, she just got all caught up in the wedding stuff and trying to follow the book but she's just doing that because she feels lost and overwhelmed

I could literally just keep going on and on and on! (One thing about me, is I'm gonna bring receipts 😂)

Donna's a bad friend to Jackie.

I do think Donna misstepped at points throughout her friendship with Jackie, but I also take into account how difficult it can be to be Jackie's friend and the kind of friendship Jackie returned to her.

For instance, Donna did tell Jackie that her relationship with Kelso was unhealthy and that she deserved better. Jackie straight up did not want to hear it, and insulted Donna for telling her the truth. Donna didn't initially want Jackie to move in during season 6 but look at why that might be. Jackie moved in and insisted Donna accommodate her (loud ABBA music to feel the vibration on the bed, anyone? 😂), read her diary and left mean comments in the margins, painted her own name on the bedroom wall, etc. Is that all for humor? Of course. Does it help me understand why Donna wouldn't want Jackie to move in with her? Yes. And in the end what happens? Hyde confronts Donna about the situation Jackie is going through and why Donna made her feel small by asking her to move in the way that she did, and Donna reflected upon the situation and changed her mind, did the right thing to help her friend.

I also think far too much is made of her being impulsive and/or destructive when she's under stress.

Yes, she responded to one isolated stressor (the disintegration of her parents' marriage) with those traits - the skipping school and failing classes for attention, making risk choices with Casey, etc. But I would argue that's not Donna's MO, it's not how she always or even usually responds to stress - by blowing up her whole life and making risky choices. For instance, when Eric didn't show up to the wedding. She was pissed and sad, but she sought comfort from her mom - she didn't go on a bender, run away from town, sleep with someone random, marry a stripper *cough, cough*. That's not how we see her respond when she briefly thinks she's pregnant. It's not how we see her respond when Eric decides to go to Africa. Etc.

Anyway.

In the case of Ms. Pinciotti, there's also a small but persistent faction of fans who think Eric can do no wrong and is some tragic victim, and Donna, of course, perpetuates poor Eric's persecution. I've always suspected that kind of attitude is rooted in internalized misogyny. But I don't think we need to open that big ol' can of worms on a lovely Friday afternoon. 😆

Bridgerton season 3

All right, I loved the season so far, but that's my take, what could be improved with storyline (there were lots of bad writting choices as well as good one, but I want to outline my thoughts). So, I'll try to sum up, what could be written or added, that could make narration style more elegant and truthful to the viewers. Free to disagree. Sorry for the mistakes in advance. English is not my first language.

Colin's character arc. A lot of the things we got was told through the dialogue or was subtle, but not in between. I had a feeling that they haven't developed him enough to really show his inner conflict. Sometimes he was a side-character in his own show(part 2 did him bad), while the thing he should be the main one, because it shows his dynamic with Penelope/Lady Whistledown and key to understand their dynamic as a couple and his character arc. Other leading male characters had that physiological touch/depth to their character, while Colin somehow didn't. What we needed: flashback to his travels and small plot about loosing himself there or maybe gaining false confidence(could be done with him alone reading the lines of his letters), study of the middle-child complex(scenes with small Colin and Antony, who was the father figure for him, or brother dynamics with parents that could outline his people pleaser arc), more journaling, including the scene we got, but also about his writting challangies, more details about his likes and dislikes as a writer(favourite authors, could be the scene with Benny, because writting and art is quiet close). Maybe, not him tellling of his jealousy, but again creating scene that show views that he feels inferior. All other thing they did alright, I guess.

Penelope's character arc. I guess I kinda like a lot of things, but I didn't like the ending with the message of 'woman couldn't have dreams, but their husbands could'. It doesn't matter for me was 'child; in the ending or not, but they should have given her character career arc plus. It might have been just a hint of her, talking about wrtitting a book or developing her gossip column into somethins more serious, like critique. Not her mentioning JUST editing Colin's book with a happy smile on her face, watching a newborn. That was the worst writting decision, because it proves Portia words. The whole point of Lady Whistledown was hiding under the mask and trying to gain control and power through her her, because Penelope was too afraid to bloom. In fact that power was within her, and although they did the choice of her uncovering face and name in the end, it didn't end well in her arc. It could have done way better, considering the point they made in the begining. I would also love to see more of her experience sexual awakening after episode five as a slow process of gaining that condifence and gaining control in bedroom(that will be my 3 bullet point about them together) by proceeding it through imagining, talking with friends or dreaming. Besides, I'd like to add that tv show would have benefited from scenes, where she's not only writting, but also looking at the mirror, kinda trying to see, what she really is every now and then(we had one of that scene in green dress). Could be in her bedroom before mirror scene, but after carriage one. It would have made sense, how perception of her body changed, and the mirror scene would have hit stronger. Could be done during her struggles of Whistledown reveal too.

Now let's focus on main couple, and what could have gone better, if writers didn't try to fit 10 storylines in 8 series and literally tried to write their leads attentively and thoughtfully. Polin. First and foremost, that talk about how they met (again bad creative decision, story should show, not hit right between your eyes) MUST have been a flashback. I don't take no as an aswer. It was the only part lacking through their development from season one. This one flshback could have fixed lots of things. + I think audience need a bit more warm-up with just the two of them in the first part of the show(more charming lessons, at least one more befoe the kiss, where Colin starts to get confused about his feelings, and it would have worked perfectly with all the other things). + him really going through the process of figuring out that she is Lady Whistledown. I feel like Luke played subtle emotions perfectly, but we didn't get build up of him, slowly noticing things from his POV(there were chances in the show and lines in the dialogues, ink scene, where they could have hinted on Colin's expression, even in the 1 part, that he could have found some of the Pen's action suspicious, but didn't question it or didn't want to believe in it because of the feelings, until finally he would have followed her to the dark streets of the town). Next thing, they should have shown the process of following her to raise the suspense, him hoping that was another person, her being in shadows in her cloackm, and that at the same time this build-up would have made Luck's acting incredible fulfilling and impactive) + after the reveal it's out of his character to leave her alone, and I guess writers lost themselves elsewhere + more dialogues with them not talking about their relationship, but art and craft of writting(again they share many common interests, why didn't they show us that before the fight and after they made up) + more dialogues with them being cute and teasy as in church and after the sex+ prolonging scene, where he reads her letters, but not just showing the letter, but hearing her voice in his ears + longing should have had more scenes and more touching and being hot and cold, not only him sleeping on the couch(this just one creative indea, but it's not enough, but by talking also), going back and forth after the fight, just the night encounter next to modiste and blue gown(in this particular one they didn't embodied the tension, my idea that although Colin wouldn't like the intimacy, when he is angry, but the stare wan't enough, he should have come, touched her and then made himself stop with a line or without it), these scenes were not enough to show their struggle there + longer scene of them making up after the ball and chage of sexual dynamic, because this is important to her character arc and him accepting her. This scene should have been the third long steamy scene, not 20 seconds with the attention to the details and how they do through trust and communicating with each other, it could have been wrtitten beautifully and releasing the tension of conflict between them by swapping roles, and Colin by that finding out he loves it, while Pen finally taking control as she wanted and as her real character is after revealing her indenty + having him coming to his senses before her speech and him holding her hand instead of her mother + the love confession which is not about just drama, but also bout them as friends and their dynamics

I am not sure I need to write the second part, about other nuanciens aspects and acrs, but this what I would have done if I had a chance to be in the writting room with them

K Reviews and Rants: Miraculous Ladybug Season 5! Episode 21

Alright, onto the episode that is supposedly meant to show Lila finally getting figured out.

Now, I'm gonna ignore the usual Lila Manipulates everyone BS. This episode has two big problems with it.

Firstly, it tries to present Miss Bustier and Damocles as reasonable authority figures... yet neither of them ever actually try and get the students' direct input or seriously question the out of character career requests for them. Additionally, it has Mylene get on a soapbox about kids "being forced to pick their futures so early in life" or something stupid like that. (Takes a deep breath) I literally had to change what I wanted to do for work three times growing up. Now, I'm not that old, I'll admit, but I have firsthand experience with having to make a change in career choice after making a decision. This episode treating Mylene as making some profound statement, when she's basically just rephrasing the simple fact that there's no guarantee a person is going to maintain the same career in life after school as some kind of criticism of the educational system. Now, I know NOTHING about the French Educational system... but when it tries to push an aesop like this right after literally showing everyone cheerfully and eagerly acting as if they didn't have a perfect idea of what they want to do in life, it just comes off as awkward. Oh, and them further making Adrien into a damsel in distress with nothing more of substance to him then his crush on Marinette was... uncomfortable on so many levels.

Secondly, this episode going full sympathetic retcon on Sabrina in the most blatant way possible. For a series that has done basically nothing with her besides have her be Chloe's goon, they are trying very hard to pretend she hasn't been Chloe's willing accomplice all this time. They are acting as if she's never gotten anyone hurt or damaged anyone's lives on Chloe's behalf before, despite this very season showing how she ratted out Marinette's "Crush" to Chloe in Derision and Chloe using that to play a mean prank on Marinette... and ignoring all the times she's lied and stolen on Chloe's request, without a hint of protest. It's hard to see Sabrina as an innocent bystander or dupe when this season is the first time she's ever shown any guilt or remorse for being Chloe's lackey... and it being the first time she's done something THIS bad doesn't really work when she's stating it's because her dad's a cop (when that's never mattered to her before) and because "helping Chloe has never hurt anyone" (which is just a straight-up lie). It feels less like she's turning on Chloe out of guilt or remorse and more because she's upset that Chloe is seemingly replacing her with Lila... when this episode really makes it feel more like Lila is making Chloe HER "Sabrina."

Anyway, rambling Forward over. Onto the review! As always, please forgive my profanity.

Episode 21: Confrontation

Okay, now we get the opening scene of Adrien struggling with an orientation form with Plagg pointing out how simple it is. Just... writing down your request for next year's school and your career goals. Admittedly, I can see why this would be hard with Adrien; bullshit writing decisions or not, Adrien struggling to figure out what he wants to do with his life makes perfect sense. Although I sincerely doubt that this would be a hardlocked "one and done" thing that is absolutely binding, because that would be utterly fucking stupid. Because if this kind of thing WERE absolutely binding, then you could have the biggest slacker in school write down the name of the fanciest, most exclusive school in the area that comes with a lot of perks and then slap down some stupid answer, and I doubt any school in the world would put up with something that easily abused.

...And we hear from Adrien that he isn't even writing down what HE wants, but what his father has DECIDED for him. REAL great development here, nice to know that the kid who literally BROKE OUT OF HIS OWN FUCKING HOUSE is still too chicken to figure out what he wants out of life. Also, the fact that they once again made Adrien's life decisions and attitudes be about someone else (how MARINETTE will feel about his dad making him move to London) is of course just fine. /s

Ugh, fine, I guess hearing Plagg show solidarity with Adrien is nice. Still kinda annoying, since Plagg is pretty much always just the goofball, rather than a serious individual.

Okay, so it looks like these orientation forms do have a safety check, in that the teachers review things with the students to see if they have the qualifications to go to their chosen school for their studies of choice... now how does this get ruined? Oh yeah, Marinette gets a "strange feeling" now that she and Alya aren't the class reps. Clearly this strange feeling has NOTHING to do with the person she KNOWS is a liar and manipulator who will screw over anyone for her own benefit is now the Class Rep, surely not!! Also, "entrusting us with their hopes and dreams!" Dramatic much? It's not as if they can't just apply to schools of their choice anyway... can they? I've got no fucking clue how the French Education System handles this crap.

Let's see what they wanna study...

Alya: Wants to be a Reporter, needs to specialize in Literature.

Nino: Movie Director. Weird how his love of music and DJing disappeared.

Mylene: "Defender of the Earth." Wow, they couldn't even pretend to have her put down a serious job, could they?

Ivan: Stay-at-home-dad. ...Huh, I honestly can't say anything snarky about that, it takes guts to be cool with that kind of life, I just hope he knows what that kind of commitment entails.

Rose: "Hairstylist," okay, not too weird... "For Unicorns." Never mind, they really aren't even pretending to have her be serious, they are straight-up insisting Rose is a delusional idiot. That might sound harsh, but come the FUCK on, there's a line between having an innocent idealism still, and unironically wanting a job that involves working with mythical creatures. Who knows, maybe Unicorns actually exist in MLB, I doubt that her job is even remotely applicable. Wait, she got told Unicorns don't exist... and changed it to "Hairstylist for Dragons."

Juleka: I couldn't even hear what she said, but given Marinette's comment on "that being SO you," I'm gonna assume it's something insanely stereotypically "goth."

Sabrina: A nurse. Because she "loves taking care of other people." I am cringing, because it sounds like they are trying to insist Sabrina being Chloe's enabler and minion is something positive that "Chloe tainted" or some shit like that. Also, she's never shown any indication of wanting to take care of people before, EVER.

Chloe: "I don't need to do anything since I'm already rich." They are seriously this fucking stupid. They can't even give her wanting to be something snobby and "powerful" that will let her pander to her own ego, they seriously are treating her like an unironic "Ideal Rich" stereotype. News flash, even RICH PEOPLE HAVE STUFF THEY LIKE TO DO. God fucking dammit.

Lila: I'm not even going to type her answer since it's a bare-faced lie meant to make her look good, which she even admits to.

Also, I'm genuinely confused on why we never got Nathaniel's, Max's, or Kim's. I'm not even gonna pretend to touch Alix's situation with a ten foot pole.

Seeing Marinette fretting about "entrusting her classmate's futures to such awful girls" really, REALLY annoys me. The entire fucking REASON that Lila is even class-rep is because of the authors trying to pretend that Lila transferred in BEFORE the elections for Class Rep took place, when I'm literally looking at the timeline and she explicitly came LONG AFTER.

Yada yada yada, Lila lying through her teeth again. Wow, not even ten seconds and she's having Sabrina destroy the original forms and forge new ones. UGH. "You're using too many words to explain your plan!" HAHAHA ISN'T CHLOE BEING A DUMB BLONDE STEREOTYPE HILARIOUS!? I AM ENJOYING THIS AND NOT PISSED OFF AT ALL!!! And WOW, Lila's "brilliant plan" is to just... frame Marinette for replacing everyone's forms with ones that would make them miserable. There are clearly no holes in this, certainly not the fact that Miss Bustier KNOWS now that Sabrina can and does forge signatures and handwriting, and that the whole "frame Marinette for doing something awful" routine only has a 50% success record, even with Lila's bullshit in effect. This isn't stupid, nope, not one bit. /s

And we get a reminder from Chloe that Andre is a stereotypical scumbag politician, it's been a while since the show has been willing to do that. I wonder if it has something to do with the show trying to pretend he's a good dad because of Zoe?

Also, apparently the lynchpin to Lila's plan is having Sabrina lie and say that MARINETTE made her forge the papers... wow, people will totally buy that the girl who does anything and everything Chloe says would ever take orders from someone other than Chloe, that's definitely what will happen. Much shock, much brilliance. /s

Wow, literally having Chloe gush over Lila's plan being "utterly villainous." They aren't even pretending to be subtle in the slightest. This is pathetic. And now Sabrina's blowing into her weird whistle in a panic because she "can't do this." Girl, you have been Chloe's lapdog and have had no problem with ruining lives in the past without a hint of regret, don't pretend you have a conscience NOW of all times. Also, what the FUCK is with that stupid whistle? Where did it come from, and why is it only NOW something so important to her??

"Helping Chloe doesn't hurt anyone" YOU LITERALLY TRIED TO STEAL MARINETTE'S DIARY IN SEASON ONE CUT THE BULLSHIT. "Forging documents and lying? It's different!" No. IT IS NOT. YOU HAVE LIED ON CHLOE'S BEHALF MANY TIMES IN THIS SERIES ALREADY!!!

And after a moment of pointless cruelty (and more "I didn't do anything wrong!!" whining from Sabrina) by Chloe, we are now back to the reappearance of... ugh. The "Resistance." What have these idiots accomplished again...? Oh right, they publicly harassed Adrien's father, fell hook line and sinker for Hawkmoth's idiotic "scheme" to conceal his identity again, lead a fairly pointless resistance against Hawkmoth after he gets the Ladybug Earrings... and that's about it. What a joke.

Okay, and somehow Damocles hears them and is looking for them on the basis that they are intruders. He's honestly not wrong, since I sincerely doubt they are supposed to be hiding in that weird nook in the school after class hours. Apparently Nino's "brilliant plan" is for all of them to go to the same high school... for many, MANY reasons, that feels utterly fucking stupid to me, since there's no guarantee that any of them would get schedules that would let them meet up, there's no guarantee that the school would be able to accommodate their future goals and ideals, and, oh yeah, THEY DON'T NEED TO GO TO THE SAME SCHOOL TO STILL BE A TEAM.

And it seems Damocles is a fan of their plan. Not terrible, but that feels like the kind of thing that's gonna get out of hand in the worst way VERY QUICKLY. Also, Nino thinking his plan will be able to fix Adrien's problem would be hilarious if it didn't illustrate how stupid the writers are making the cast for the sake of plot. And yup, the little problem of them having different dreams and goals that are incompatible with all going to the same school immediately crops up.

While Marinette takes a call, Mrs. Mendeleev is tattling on the "Resistance" to Mr. Damocles. For once, she's absolutely right that them lurking in the boiler room is unacceptable. Not only is it breaking several rules, it's just plain dangerous to be in a place like that without a good reason. And... Damocles is covering for them. That would be sweet if it weren't liable to get him in massive trouble. Oh, looks like Mendeleev is unsatisfied with how Damocles runs things. I mean, so am I, but I doubt she'd be any better given her track record.

"It's so unfair that we have to decide what we want to do so early on in life!" MYLENE, IF YOU THINK THAT THIS IS THE BE-ALL END-ALL OF YOUR LIFE, YOU ARE FUCKING DELUSIONAL. Changing careers and exploring different subjects and career paths is NORMAL. People who go into one thing and never divert from it are the EXCEPTION not the rule. I wanted to become a programmer, then got into IT, before I finally ended up as a Pharmacy Technician. Them acting as if "taking a bunch of different courses to figure out what we want" is this groundbreaking thing pisses me off. They come off as spoiled brats, especially when each of them had pretty clear ideas on what they wanted to do right off the bat. This is fucking stupid.

No no no. I'm not even remotely pretending to entertain them acting as if trying to "take a stand" against filing these forms THAT THEY ALREADY FILLED OUT AND HANDED OVER by "striking" is anything other then performative BS. I have had my fill of performative BS for a while now. Fuck this.

Seriously, why the fuck do they have Juleka speaking so fucking QUIETLY? This is just fucking bizarre. She's capable of speaking at a normal volume without issue, she's SPOKEN at a normal volume without issue THIS SEASON, why is she having this problem NOW OF ALL TIMES!? Ding Dong, Rose points out the fucking problem with doing a "strike" when it comes to something THEY HAVE ALREADY DONE.

And it looks like MAYBE Adrien has pushed himself to do something other then be totally enslaved to what Gabe wants of him... and we don't even get to see it. Who bets that it's Adriennette shit? ...Yup, it's Adriennette shit. He literally didn't even list anything, he just said he "wanted to be with Marinette." If that's supposed to be touching, it fails. It's just him basically wasting a form by treating it like a love letter.

And Chloe dumps the form in the emergency bathroom that she and Lila are hiding in. How did no one see them all enter at the same time, and why was no one suspicious? And I cannot repeat myself enough, them trying to act as if Sabrina just NOW has a conscience PISSES ME OFF.

And we get a scene of Caline taking Lila at face value. For fuck's sake, this better not be binding... and Damocles is taking Lila's bullshit rationalization on why Alya obviously put down "Optician" at face value, FUCK. THAT. THIS is why this guy needs to be kicked out of his position, he SUCKS AT HIS JOB. Seriously, why the fuck would ALYA WEARING GLASSES MEANS SHE WANTS TO MAKE THEM FOR PEOPLE!? And Mrs. Mendeleev just saying "her grades allow it" really proves she's no better at this job then Damocles is. Uuuggghhh... your JOB should be to call in Alya and TALK WITH HER since her homeroom teacher has literally JUST POINTED OUT THAT THIS IS UNUSUAL FOR ALYA. FUCK THIS SHIT.

"Juleka wants to repeat the year" NOPE. FUCK THAT. END OF FUCKING STORY. You do not get to CHOOSE TO REPEAT A YEAR!!!! FUCK THAT FUCK THAT FUCK THAT!!! WHY ARE THESE IDIOTS NOT QUESTIONING THIS!?!? Wow, the speech impediment that didn't exist until recently, truly a "brilliant reason" for her to want to be held back WHICH IS NOT A THING THAT HAPPENS. And another sign of Mrs. Mendeleev being just as useless as Damocles in that she doesn't oppose a child apparently sabotaging her own education.

And NOW we get the class reacting to the news!! How will the writers fuck THIS up, I wonder?

"You sure you didn't get mine by mistake?" Kim saying that would be funny if it weren't for the sheer stupidity of the teachers and Damocles apparently being dumb enough to just buy Lila's bullshit at face value AND Miss Bustier doing NOTHING to actually oppose it!!! Oh, and another Dumb Blonde joke, but this time it's Rose who's the butt of it.

And whatever drama this should result in gets sidetracked by what looks to be Juleka getting Akumatized. Let's see if that'll actually go through with it or if they'll bring back the Resistance's bullshit "tactics" again. Also, why is Gabe/Hawkmoth acting like he's got this history of akumatizing people during Teacher Rep Meetings when this is the first time these have ever even been MENTIONED?

And the magical charm proves to be immediately useless! Who didn't see that coming, show of hands!

And it's Reflekta again. UGH. Also, them trying to act as if not being (verbally) understood or listened to is a recurring problem with Juleka falls flat when she's never had this speech impediment prior to this season. Her issue was being SEEN, not HEARD, dumbass writers. Yup, they are using the dumb tactics, and putting themselves in danger in the process. Kiddies, it's WAY TOO FUCKING LATE FOR THAT.

Huh, they actually bothered to give an old Akuma an improved version of their prior power!! Now if only it wasn't the Akuma LEAST USEFUL TO GETTING THE MIRACULOUSES!!! Also, the fact that their classmates didn't immediately run when they saw that the Akuma was Reflekta, especially since this one operates as a hive mind it seems. It's also kinda stupid that they are trying to tie Reflekta's powers of image copying with the motivation of "staying with her friends" since it just plain DOES NOT FIT REFLEKTA AS AN AKUMA.

This plan is even stupider than normal. Not only was the Akuma taken out in less than a handful of minutes, they basically just got lucky that they took out the "real Reflekta." This was a waste of time.

Now back to the school, where Alya and the rest ask Lila what happened at the conference. SURELY this isn't a plot, SURELY this isn't all a trick- Oh who am I kidding, of course it is. Yup, Lila immediately passes the blame onto Marinette. And Chloe immediately pulls out the fact that Marinette's the only one with an unaltered form as "proof" that this is all her fault, and Lila says it's all because they voted her to be Class Rep. Wow, what a "brilliant plan."

Marinette immediately points out the obvious flaw in her being the one to make the fake forms. And when Lila tries to flip it on her, Marinette calls out Sabrina, who Chloe shoves in front of herself. HOW the class can't smell that this is staged, I have no clue whatsoever. AND SABRINA FINALLY GROWS A SPINE!! WHOOPDY-FUCKING-DOO!! WHO GIVES A SHIT!? IT'S TOO LITTLE TOO LATE TO GROW A FUCKING CONSCIENCE WHEN YOU'VE BEEN ACTING AS IF YOU'VE NEVER DONE ANY WRONG UP UNTIL NOW!!!

And Chloe, because of course they are still keeping her the dumb one, loudly calls Sabrina a traitor and says that "wasn't the plan." Lila tries to run damage control... by immediately throwing SABRINA under the bus and claiming that Sabrina is the liar, and was "just being used by Marinette." Seriously, CHLOE ADMITTED THAT THIS WAS THEIR PLAN!!! HOW STUPID IS THIS!? EXTREMELY STUPID!!! Also, wow, calling Marinette a "Civilian Monarch." She isn't even trying anymore.

And Sabrina, no, she is not turning everything you say against you, she's lying. Turning what you say against you is when you repeat what someone says in a way that means differently from what they intend. What she's doing is lying, blatantly, calling you a liar, and trying to gaslight you into going along with what she wants, and she's not being even remotely subtle about it. WHY ARE NONE OF THEIR CLASSMATES REACTING TO THIS!? WHY!?!?!

Yeesh, even if you ignore how stupid and blatant Lila's lies are, this is genuinely creepy how she's openly trying to gaslight and badger Sabrina into doing what she wants and agreeing with her. It's sincerely disturbing to see her being this fucking obvious.

Also, it's kinda weird how Sabrina emphasizes that her dad is a policeman.

And after Sabrina runs off, Chloe literally tells Sabrina to 'heel,' like a dog. THAT'S the Miraculous they think suits Sabrina best... how nauseating. No joke, this part of the episode is making me sick to my stomach.

Wow, a classic "I'll have my dad fire you(r dad)" threat from Chloe. Haven't heard one of those in awhile.

And after Lila begins bragging about how great of a liar she is (SHE REALLY ISN'T PEOPLE!!!), and threatens Sabrina, Sabrina springs her trap and reveals she engineered a public confession. This would be cathartic if it weren't TOTALLY STUPID HOW LONG LILA'S LIES HAVE BEEN MAINTAINED BY PEOPLE TAKING HER AT FACE VALUE OVER ALL ELSE!!!!

Yadda yadda yadda, Sabrina grew a conscience and revealed everything to Marinette, acting as if she hasn't tried to gleefully ruin lives and damage reputations at Chloe's behest before. And they seriously built an entire fake bathroom with a one-way window-mirror thing just to catch her. How obnoxious. Seriously, all they did was put up a "bathroom busted" sign and that was enough, and the school never tried to call a plumber or something!? THIS IS STUPID!!! They should've been aware this ENTIRE TIME that the actual bathroom was perfectly fine, making this entire plan of Marinette's as sound as a pile of SAND!!!

"I'll fix everything." Fix WHAT!? By all accounts you just faked the bathrooms being out of order, switched out a mirror for a back-up bathroom that never needed making and thus probably cost the school quite a pretty penny to make, and wasted several school hours by enabling Lila's idiotic plan involving those orientation forms WHICH SHOULD NOT HAVE ACTUALLY BEEN THAT BIG OF A FUCKING DEAL!!!

Caline says they owe Marinette an apology, they kinda do. They also probably deserve to be fired since they've shown nothing but raw, unfettered ineptitude THIS ENTIRE FUCKING SEASON AND EVERY EPISODE INVOLVING LILA!!! Wow, Chloe actually bothered acting on one of her threats to call her father!! TOO BAD THAT HER DAD DOESN'T HAVE THE POWER TO GET RID OF DAMOCLES!! I agree he needs to go, but Andre doesn't have the power to do that. Mayor of the year, people, Mayor of the fucking year.

I'm just tuning out the rest of this, since it's basically Damocles FINALLY bothering to act like a proper educator and Andre going back to his Season 1 days of being a slimeball politician that throws his weight around to keep his daughter's image clean. Oh, and it looks like the only reason he went along with it was because Audrey was coercing him with her present, CLEARLY they are "in love," and this isn't downplaying Andre being a self-serving spineless leech. Heck, this makes him MORE of a spineless leech since he's getting pushed around by Audrey FOR NO FUCKING REASON.

"Now you're not getting fired either!" Audrey, he's your husband, not an employee, and he has more authority than you. Fuck this bullshit.

And the entire class rallying around Damocles would be more touching if he weren't a fucking joke of a principal on every level. We also see the Magic Charms FINALLY BE FUCKING USEFUL!! Who knows, maybe this unknown until now power will actually be fucking relevant... yeah, I don't believe it either.

Yadda yadda yadda, character shilling for Damocles by acting as if he's always been a good principal and not a fucking joke with no spine. And now we get the scene of Caline joining the "Chloe is pure evil and always has been, so there's no point in trying to change her, point and scorn her as nothing but trash" club. And we get a "I thought you could change if people reached out to you!" speech which acts as if the token gestures that never went anywhere were really meaningful attempts to reform her, blech. And Caline's "punishment" for Chloe is literally just the "extra help" she said Chloe would need last episode reframed as a threat. Idiotic. And apparently Lila has an entirely separate identity as "Cerise" on top of her somehow tricking three women into believing she's her daughter and HOW MUCH FUCKING MORE DO THE WRITERS PLAN ON SHILLING HER AS THIS MASTER MANIPULATOR!? BECAUSE SHE AIN'T ONE!! SHE IS A TEENAGE GIRL WITH FUCKING DELUSIONS OF GRANDEUR!! GOD FUCKING DAMMIT!!!

It was finally Eunbi's first day of college and well she was READY! After having breakfast she gave her dad a hug.

"Be safe, be careful and have fun." her father told her as she nodded, excited.

"Yes, dad! Anddd don't worry...I won't get into any fights or quarrels and I most definitely won't cause any trouble." she said as her father chuckled and patted her cheek.

"I know you won't, now go have fun." he said as she nodded and left.

"Byeee~" Eunbi exclaimed for everyone in the house to hear as she made her way to the car.

"Have fun, Miss Eunbi, I'll be here to get you as soon as class ends." mr. Choi my driver said as I thanked him and got off.

"Thank you!" she exclaimed and stood in front of the gate, marvelling at the scale and grandeur of the institute.

"Neo Culture University...hm...not bad." I mumbled to myself as I entered the campus and searched for my class. I frowned to myself when I failed to find my class and looked around for help. I saw a rather cherrful looking boy walk towards my direction so I reached out to him.

"Heyy...I'm new here and I can't seem to find my class. Could you please help me?" I requested as he smiled and took the paper from my hand.

"Of course! Uhh....3-A...3A?! That's my class!" he exclaimed making me widen my eyes as we shook our hands.

"That's great! I'm Eunbi!" I introduced myself as he happily shook my hand.

"My name is Lee Donghyuck but people call me Haechan. You can call me Donghyuck or Hyuck or even Haechan...it's your wish." he said making me smile as I nod.

"Well okay Hyuck! Take me to class!" I say as he pulls me by my arm.

"You know, we have a lot of things in common. I'm amazingly handsome and you're amazingly pretty. I like leather, you seem to like leather...I mean...you do right? Like you're wearing a leather jacket." he says making me laugh as I nod.

"Yup, I love leather." I say as we high five.

"You know...your last name is awfully similar to my classmate." Hyuck said making me chuckle.

"Na Jaemin?" I say as he nods.

"How do you know him?" he asks.

"He's my elder brother of course." I say as he gasps.

"Finally! Someone who can defend me from his wrath." he says as I furrow my brows.

"Defend? Why?" I ask as he wipes away fake tears.

"He...he uses me as his punching bag." he says making me widen my eyes as I patted his back.

"Oh my Goshh...he does that?!? I am sooo sorry!" I apologize as he holds my hands.

"It's alright." he says as I help him up.

After we reach the classroom our homeroom teacher arrives to see me.

"Thank goodness you found your way here, Eunbi. I'm Professor Cho and I'll be your homeroom teacher." she introduces herself as I bow.

"It's nice to meet you, professor. I'm Na Eunbi." I say as she smiles.

"Now...we don't have any free seats so are you okay with sitting at the back?" she asks as Hyuck gasps.

"But we don't have a choice. But it's your wish Eunbi...but if you don't want to sit there I can exchange your seat with someone else." She says and I was going to reply when Haechan raised his hand between us.

"Because I'm a good student and a good friend...I shall sacrifice myself." Hyick says making me smile.

"Really?" Me and Professor Cho say in unison as he nods bravely.

"Well, then that's settled. Jeno and Haechan will sit together and Eunbi will sit with Renjun." she says when the door opens.

"I heard my name." a fair boy who was slightly smaller than Hyuck entered.

"Good morning, Renjun. Meet Eunbi, she'll be sitting with you for this semester if you're okay with it." Professor Cho told the boy as I smiled at him.

So he's Renjun

"I don't mind. I'm Huang Renjun." he said bringing his hand forward as I shook it.

"I'm Na Eunbi." I said and he furrowed his brows when Hyuck spoke up.

"She's Jaemin's younger sister." Hyuck saud as he chuckled.

"Explains the sharp eyes." he said making me laugh.

"Good to see the both of you are already making Eunbi feel at home. Way to go, extra points!" she says and walks away.

"Well, you're sitting here then Eunbi." Renjun says motioning to the seat on the last fourth, next to the window.

"Ohh sweet! By the way...who's Jeno?" I ask as Renjun furrows his brows.

"The Devil himself." Hyuck says as Renjun pushes him away.

"Considering you're Jaemin's sister I figured you'd know who he was. But that's okay." Renjun says making me think.

"I don't really know him...I guess its because I didn't study here. I've studied in France ever since middle school and I came back a month ago." I say as Hyuck nods.

"As expected from a family with a big wallet-ouch!" I chuckle when Renjun punches Hyuck's stomach.

"Sorry bout him, he doesn't know how to speak." Renjun says when the door is abruptly opened.

"Who's that?" I whispered and asked Renjun about the buff and strong looking person who just entered.

He looks like a thunder storm.

"Lee Jeno." He replied making my eyes widen.

Tell that to Lee Jeno!

"He's Lee Jeno?!?" I stood up and exclaimed making Hyuck and Renjun widen their eyes as Renjun pulled me back down to sit when Lee Jeno turned to look at me.

"What's your deal?" he said in a low whisper while approaching us as I stood up again.

"You're the one who beat up my brother!" I exclaimed as he raised his brows. Hyuck was quick to hold his arm.

"Yah, yah, yah....jenooo...she's new! She doesn't know anything! Let her off this time!" Hyuck pleaded and I gasped when Jeno pushed him away from his grasp making Hyuck hit the wall

"What the hell is your problem?!" I exclaimed as Renjun pulled me behind him.

"Yah, Jeno have some decency. She's a girl." Renjun warned when Jeno smirked and pushed him away as well.

"Renjun!" I exclaimed and threw a glare at him.

"The hell is your deal?!" I said when he grabbed onto my jacket and pulled me towards him.

Damn he's strong

"Na Eunbi..." He scoffed after reading my name out loud.

"Another Na? You must be kidding me." he said and that's when I decided to the one thing that came to my mind at that moment. Althought I shouldn't have done it I ended up listening to my impulsive thoughts and went for it.

Im personally just relieved that the Libs managed to even things up last night, while still trying to process the 2nd half & OT of game 1 lol. That one was all just absolutely bonkers. Crazy entertaining, even if it hurt my NY supporting heart at the time.

When it comes to the coaching moves, def in agreement that Indy doesnt deserve good things. What do you make of who the Valks named HC? Seems a good hire to me at a quick glance, but Im also leery of anyone who might be involved w the Aces lawsuit ordeal (tbf Im not super well informed on that, but dont believe Ive ever seen her referenced w that stuff). Yeah objectively I dont feel that a (random) late winning run/playoff push, external circumstances w the standings aside, was worth dropping your odds of getting #1/Paige from like 30 to 10 %. Still struggle to understand why they ended up trying to fight the path that established itself early on. Granted kind of unexpected and extreme circumstances, but still, lemons to lemonade if you will. Im not feeling eager for the draw next month..

Honestly it will be interesting now to see/follow any Liz activity while she hits the offseason as college ball starts up soon. Curious to see if any crumbs or reactions come up at all. W those two seeming to be at an avoidance phase, another college wbb couple needs to step up and provide us w some (non toxic) drama to follow over the season ha! Not you tho Pazzi, you stay lovely/wholesome/stable/healthy

Ah babes that must have gotten lost in my sea of asks because I've been so bad about answering them. It's funny how much has change since whenever you sent that thought because the W has become a revolving door of coaching changes.

I really like the Valks HC choice. She's been very effective with the LVAces and I expect that to continue. Same with the recent news we go today of Tyler Marsh with the Sky. I think LVAces coaching staff in general is so strong and them branching off is good for the league and both the Valks and the Sky with these coaches and a little bit of time for player development should eventually be really good. Ultimately the lawsuit is a front office issue and I don't think these two had much to do with it and so until I see issues in their new respective teams, I don't think we can hold it against them.

LIBERTYYYYYYY. So happy for them and of course props to the Lynx. And honestly thank you to both teams for giving us what I think, despite that one foul, is the greatest W finals we've ever had.

THE THIBAULTS ARE GONE. You were one of the first people I thought of when I saw that news. Honestly I have no idea what to think. I really didn't see it coming and as much as I've done a lot of nepo baby this nepo baby that, I don't necessarily know if this is the right choice but I'll wait to see who they appoint as the head coach to really figure out my thoughts.

Hi there dears. I think I can try to add another chapter to this little mini drabble series today. Again, this is heavily focused on the inmates and officers so I hope you like. Also, the one reason I couldn't decide who to write next was thanks to writer's block. I was stuck on who to write for next. Though, I got stuck on who was next: Either being Terry and Sai, Ink and Denji, Yuji/Megumi/Kisho etc. But I guess I'll make a choice now. So! How about we give some love for Denji and Ink! While Denji Hayakawa is a muse that's from the anime series Chainsaw Man along with some others that will show in later chapters are from their anime shows but also to me due to having them as muses.

The night carries on but it seems like most things are calm again. As morning comes about, the area was still in lockdown. Some of the officers were worried seeing that four officers were gone but it seems something must have happened.

"Now what do we do? I don't see Bakugo, Rex, Davion, or Nakano. Do you think something happened?" Kisho was worried looking at the others that remain seeing this. Some was unsure on what to say about it but they were trying to figure out how much longer it was going to be before the lockdown was over. However, they were wondering what happened to the others?

"Alright, I got through. I'm going to check how much longer we have before the lockdown is over.." officer Winter checks while looking worried only to see it was...reset? "Huh?"

'Lock down has increased due to inmates trying to break out or provoke the timer.'

"Oh damn it!" she said. "Were still trapped in here." she said seeing some more nervous now. Given this ideal, we don't know what could happen now." Winter sees her team worried with some others not sure of what is happening.

"Calm down. As long as we stay focused we will be okay. We just need to be sure we stick together during the day.." Ryunosuke said but he knew this was bad. Given how violent the lower inmates are..even his own charge Matt. He'll have to check on him later.

"Well, we will be sure to do that. For now, what do we do? We can't get through to Mr. Henderson right because of this?" Izuku said.

"I don't know but for now, lets just focus on what we can do." he said as everyone else nods going to their posts for now. However, that's when the main four was going to return later that morning.

During that time later on, Rex did return along with Nakano, Bakugo, Davion, and Yuuka who were tired but the four were already corrupted thanks to what happened that night.

"Hey, you four are alright! What happened?" Denji asked but Rex sighed to look at him.

"We are fine. Lets just say we were trying to calm something down last night..but it's taken care of." he said with arms crossed.

"Y..Yeah, we are okay.." Yuuka said even if she was looking a bit tense now. But she was trying not to show it.

"Well, whatever happened you guys are safe so that's good." Denji said but Bakugo grumbles not saying too much. "Well, how about you four take a break or off for now-"

"Were fine. WE will continue our work but you guys can give me updates on what happened." he said seeing them doing that. However, Yuuka was quiet but she looks flushed. Why did Oblivion have to give her this for a punishment till tonight?

~~~~~~~~~Back to this early morning~~~~~~~~

"Good girl. You did well last night." Oblivion was sitting up petting her head but Yuu was dazed as she was shaking from what she went through. Her body never expected such a feeling of pleasure before that now she was hoping to get more. Oblivion noticed but she only sees her reaching that she takes her hand.

"I know, I know. It felt good and you want to feel it again right?" she asked seeing Yuu nod. "Well, how about this? I'll give you something and if your able to behave; I'll give you more...how about it?"

"R...You woul..would? Then w..what...i..is it.." she asked but sees something in Oblivion's hand. A vibrator.

So now she had to have this inside of her while Oblivion was messing with the settings to see if she can behave herself. For now, Yuuka was okay even if she was holding back her whimpers feeling a bit wet. She had to get through this before tonight. She just hopes no one else notices.

For now, everything was quiet for now but it leaves Bakugo grumbling that he was keeping his end of the deal if he wanted more of the dragon. "Hey Denji!"

"Huh?"

"...I think you should do guard duty with the inmate today. I'm..going to take a break for now after all this crazy shit."

"Ha?! Why? Scared that she'll drain you dry or something-"

"NO! I'm tired from last night so take over! Just don't do anything stupid." he said but Denji was confused seeing Bakugo heading to his quarters to rest.

"What was that all about.." he mutters but he knew Bakugo was flushed since he was hiding his heated expression. He did want to feel more but he would have to wait for now since he gave his word to get Denji to her. Get him to take over guarding Ink so she can corrupt him next. When getting to his room, he quickly locks the door and goes to sit. He was already hard thinking about her that he begins trying to calm down while looking down.

"Damn it..d..damn it.." he groans now stroking himself. He was going to be busy right now as the day keeps on going like nothing happened. True the inmates were to stay in their cells till the lockdown was over but some was still planning a way to get out or some catching their officers to play with. Four were already taken but another will be added as Denji was given the task of watching Ink for Bakugo or having his turn.

"Hey, you doing alright in there Vanguard. You seem happy this morning." Denji said by her cell door but she hums slightly to look at the door.

"No worries, I'm good. Just bored since were stuck in our cells because of this lockdown thing. How long till it gets broken?" she asked.

"Well, we still have a while due to another inmate trying to break it...so were still stuck in here." He sighed even if Ink smiled without Denji seeing it. Seems like this might work for her.

"I see. Well, that means we can hang out right, Officer Hayakawa?" she asked seeing him blink to look at her from his shoulder.

"Uhhhh hang out?"

"yeah, just hanging out and having fun! I heard from Bakugo you always like to have fun around here...right?" she sees Denji think about it even if that's true. He tends to do a few things to bring some fun in this place.

"I mean yeah, I don't mind that..but what are you getting at?" he asked.

"Ohhhh nothing. I just wanna have a little fun." Ink said smiling to him that Denji was silent to look at her seeing the Dragon sitting there in the cell looking at him. What was she planning here?

"Listen you, that's not allowed. I don't know what your going for but you better behave." Denji stays true to himself and keeps looking ahead. Their was no way he would lose to her and her cute looks. This got Ink thinking but remembering what Bakugo told her.

Even if Denji is known for his strength and keeping to his job, he's weak against cuties like her. Even better knowing she had the cutest features. Even if she was a woman, he still had to stay focused!

"Come on can't we hang out a little and have some fun?" Ink asked again that Denji sighed.

"Listen, I told you that's not allowed. You either behave or I'll be sure you get sent to.." as he turns to face her he tenses to see what was in front of him. Ink was right in front of him but she smiled tilting her head while gazing upon his face.

"You sure we can't play a little?" she asked softly to touch his cheek that Denji already feels her petting his head. Even showing he was seriously cute. He blushed red seeing up close she was cute.

"I..I umm.."

"Hmmm? What's wrong? Cat got your tongue?" she teased. She reaches to poke his lips gently but as she did that, Denji moves away only for her to turn his head back and pulls him down to kiss him.

"Mffm!?" He twitched feeling the kiss but he grips her shoulders feeling Ink kissing him. She only blushed from the kiss that she even feels his hands shaking now. Her lips were really soft and it felt really nice.

She and him remains close kissing one another before she breaks the kiss panting softly against them. Her grey eyes were glowing to grip his uniform shirt to chuckle.

"You seem speechless....wanna another one?" she asked but he only panted to squeeze her shoulders but she only stops to back up. But Denji didn't let go to kiss her neck that made Ink shiver a little. His lips were warm against her skin that he was nuzzling and kissing her neck that he accidently bit her skin. She tenses feeling sharp teeth bite her but he felt his eyes widen.

Drops of her blood was tasted on his tongue that he shook.

'W..wait...her blood....no way..it tastes so warm, soothing, and smooth....like a creamy treat and creamy soda...s..so good..' he thought while pulling back licking where he bit her. Ink only shivers to grip the uniform more but she only feels him about to pull her closer that she pulls his head from her shoulder to look at him.

"H..Hey..."

"Come on Denji...why not come inside and have some fun..I won't bite...You can play with me all you like...and even have your fun.." she said seeing Denji only blushing worse. He could see her appearance to make him shake. She was standing there showing off but her body was pressed up against the cell bar door that he even saw her boobs showing to him.

"......" yeah, it was getting hard to when it comes to cute girls, Ink was one hot girl. Maybe he could get a-No no no! But he was going to reach to squeeze them but he shook trying to resist. Her lips were soft and she already was a tempting tease! That's not fair.

"......." The taste of her blood still remains on his tongue but he shook only to try shaking it off. Being quick, he was about to but stops to calm himself down.

"I..I can't..it's not right I.....damn it.." turning away he rushes off to take a break from his post leaving Ink. She sees him leave but she licked her lips with glowing silver eyes.

'So Bakugo was right..he's seriously cute....really cute..' she thought. "I almost had him...maybe a more physical move would have worked." she thought.

Later that afternoon, Denji was trying to get what happened out of his head but some other officers were unsure if he was okay.

"Uhhh Denji? You okay-"

"I'm good!" he said quickly to startle Kisho who had Rioto near by hearing this.

"Maybe he's sick.." he said holding a tray for his lunch but Denji only looks ahead holding a fork. The other claws wonder if he was alright but Bakugo knew or he was the only one that knew what was going on., He did guard Ink so she might have pulled a move on him. For now, others were quiet trying to stay calm even Officer brooks and Officer Niguredo who saw Yuuka remain quiet while eating her food even if she was flushed pink, legs squirming a bit thanks to it.

"...." Both were unsure if she was okay but they remain quiet to hope she was.

"Anyway, we should be fine. Lets just finish up lunch and get back to places." Ryu said but seeing that many nods only to keep on eating. However, he was still concerned about Matt he did check on him but saw he was resting up. Maybe later he'll recheck on him again. As for Denji, he was lost thinking about Ink again but he was getting excited wanting to feel and taste her more.

Oh boy, this was going to be hard.

Magnus Archives Final Season Thoughts

Okay. Statement begins

Normally I started with ranting about how much I love Jon, but I'll save him for last this time. This season was a lot. Quite a lot. Some of the statements were really cool and dreamy but this season was a wild frickin ride.

Martin my beloved. He has to deal with so much, like he is literally dating the man that caused all this. It's so funny because he is just some guy, he is so normal compared to Jon. But he is also very silly. He was so annoyed that Jon wouldn't kill the people he wanted dead. Like Oliver and Simon were just allowed to vibe. He was so confused the whole time and I don't blame him. His mental health is through the drain yet he's the sunshine one because someone has to in this miserable place.

Daisy my beloved. I know she was a violent cop but she's my meow meow. Jon saying he never forgave her for the forest was something alright and I was so sad when she died. Like I know why she had to but DAISYYYYYYYY.

Bashira was also there. Don't have a whole lot to say about her tbh. I like Bashira but she didn't do a whole lot that made me feel insane except kill Daisy.

Okay so Georgie and Melanie accidentally becoming cult leaders was something I did not expect at all. I assumed that they would be fineish due to their fearlessness and blindness but I wasn't expecting accidental cult leaders. I'm glad the colonel was okay and just vibing as an avatar.

Seeing a lot of the avatars was super fun. Not!Sasha's death was very satisfying and the rest were terrifying. Like I'm glad they're dead but I didn't like that Jon could just do that. Like good for him but this man should not have God like abilities I do not trust him with those. I'm so sad Helen had to die I really liked her and I was still recovering from Daisy's death so I was very upset. Rest in peace queen

I'm gonna be honest with y'all, I don't really get the web? Like I never really clicked with Annabelle. I probably would've if we had seen more of her since I'm easy to please but where it stands she's fine but I don't think the series did enough with her.

Honestly I'm not quite sure how much I love the ending. Like I'm not angry about it or disappointed or anything like that, like I don't mind it. Idk what I was expecting but I think I was just really caught off guard by Jon tricking(? I don't really know how to describe it) the group and doing his own thing. At first I just though he was distracting Jonah so Martin could sneak attack or something but no. I understand why Jon did it, he didn't want to spread the fears and have the others feel guilt, "I don't want anyone to feel this" from the previous episode type beat. But this man had the guts to lie to everyone and then try to mercy kill the world.

Okay Jon my beloved time! He was so good this season. The romance were the bright spots in a very bleak season. Idk how to even describe my thoughts on Jon besides that his actions were very tasty

I feel so bad for him! It's like he did cause this whole mess, but he was also tricked! His! Whole! Life! He was a tool! Elias said that he made choices but his fate was sealed when he was eight!! Like this man had never not been used in his life! What choices could he have made differently! Probably if I sat down and thought about it I could come up with a list, but with his headspace I just don't blame him for everything. Yes he was a jerk in the first few seasons but his story is so tragic. He's so ridden with guilt and trauma and makes bad choices! So I think him becoming the eye the only way things could've ended for him.

Then Martin busts in with the power of love and they decide to stay together. Their I love yous destroy me more then anything and of course I get one at the ending. Martin's daydream about the end was kinda right? They did kiss and there was an explosion but there was no button just him having to stab his boyfriend :D! And then they're just gone. They could be dead, or they could be on a beach somewhere. Idk

There's apparently a sequel in the works or something so we'll probably find out there idk I haven't looked into this at all since I'm not very interested in it atm. I need time to process this one

Bimonthly Media Roundup

- Goosebumps (TV) - Game night with my friends turned into watching goofy childrens media once we got tired. In this case we watched the 2 part werewolf episodes from the 90s goosebumps show, which sure was nostalgic. I would not call them good, but they sure were fun. The acting was over the top, the effects were lovingly corny as was the music, the fashion was so early 90s that it gave us ptsd, the story line had a child transform into a fully adult hilarious werewolf costume and 'scientists' with unexplained green boiling liquid. Also it was set in a Florida swamp, what more could you want. 10/10 would recommend for game night again.

- Blue Eye Samurai (TV) - I talked about this before back when I first watched it, and recently finished a rewatch with my friends. Akemi's is overall my favorite storyline and overall I adore the character designs and presentation. I do have my issues with it, standard opening, odd sound choices, kind of meh humor mixing oddly with the tone, but overall I still think it's a really good first season with some really interesting developments, great fight choreography, and some killer dialogue. Season 2 will be interesting, it could go a lot of different directions.

- Barbie Epic Road Trip (TV) - Also a game night watch, we clearly were not the target audience for this choose your own Barbie adventure mini movie, but it was fun nonetheless. The idea of making your own choices was pretty fun, though my friends and I kept trying to go the career/friendship route rather than the romance route and it really felt like the show didn't want us to do that which is kind of a messed up message for kids if it was intentional. Since we were just messing around we found it funny how pathetic Ken was whenever we cockblocked his date attempts with Barbie, but from a story perspective man Ken, chill out a little, Barbie doesn't hate you just because she won't drop her plans with her friends to do whatever impromptu date you decided to spring on her. Maybe the Barbie Movie had a more accurate Ken than I thought.

- Jujutsu Kaisen (Anime) -I think I may have read more fan-fiction for this series than any other fandom I've been in, at least within such a short time frame. I honestly could not tell you why, as my issues with the series proper are still numerous, but the hyperfixation has made me an unwilling hostage forced to endlessly look through fan edits, art, and stories in all my free time. Geto Suguru is my blorbo now. Free me.

- Steins;Gate (Anime) - This one has been an odd experience. Given it's consistently been in the Top 3 All Time best anime listed on MAL, is about one of my favorite sci-fi tropes of time loops, and has frequently been sighted as a favorite anime by the media analysis community, I've had Steins;Gate on my to watch list for quite a bit with some high expectations. My sister and I finally decided to start watching it and uh. wow. those first few episodes sure were something. Not something good but. Something alright. The awful yellow overly, annoying characters, pointless otaku/conspiracy babble, and stock standard anime women archetypes were honestly painful to sit through, though pure curiosity did win in the end. While not offensively bad it was definitely boring enough for my sister to prod her bf on when it was supposed to get good, to which he replied episode 12, which is an insane thing to say about a 24 episode series. We are past that hurdle now and I will say it definitely is more interesting once the meat on the sci fi plot kicks in, as the memory/message time traveler combined with the changing world lines is a pretty neat plot setup, but given the still mostly bland characters and presentation I wouldn't say it even makes it out of the decent tier, let alone int 'greatest of all time'. I suppose I'll wait to see if the ending blows me away but for now the difference between the hype of a show and the actual quality is one of the biggest I've seen.

- Malevolent (Podcast) - Well this has just been a grand time so far. I'm really liking the continuing trainwreck that is Arthur's life, they really do keep putting this guy into Resident Evil situations, give the man a break. His dynamic with John is obviously the best part of the show, it's great to see how it shifts between enemies to alarmingly co-dependent to sweet and back again, truly what I wanted out of the original Venom movie. It's also pretty funny how more and more John, the eldritch entity, is the more reasonable one who has to continually remind his human partner to maybe chill out and show a little empathy maybe. Season 3 seems to be a favorite of a lot of people so I'm pretty hyped going into it. For now I'll say that Kayne is fun, John is adorable, and honestly I think it's fine that Arthur ate that guy actually, he's earned going a little feral.

- Tiger Tiger (Webcomic) -I don't have anything new to say about this lovely webcomic with it's endlessly charming characters, amazing art, and intriguing setting, but the updates have been fun recently.

- House (TV) - Still in season one, the case writing is still solid, the misogyny makes me wish Cuddy would drop kick House thrice an episode at least.

- Genshin Impact (Video Game) - 5.0 update coming soon, I really need to get a move on on catching up.

alright. finished the knuckles series. i cannot believe this show is real

general review: this is barely a sonic show - hell, i would hesitate to call this a show at all. however, i would be lying out of my ass if i said i wasn't enthralled with the sheer chaos and absurdity of this show almost the whole way through. this show is bad and i would not recommend it to anyone but holy shit i did kinda have some fun with it

a lot of the comedy is terrible and had me in physical pain. but a lot if it also had me laughing my ass off. i did not like any of the human characters even though they take up 85% of the show, but goddamn sometimes the line delivery and acting just caught me so off guard in a way that killed me. i wish this show was something different and actually about knuckles and the larger sonic cast, but i cannot say i hated this series. at the very least i think everyone should watch episode 4 completely out of context. dude trust me it'll be funny :)
