Melawan Takut

Kadang rasa ketakutan yang amat sangat menghantui. Entah asalnya darimana, bahkan yang membuat rasa takut itu muncul adalah karena dirinya sendiri. Walaupun sudah yakin dan mantap kadang tetap saja galau dan goyah. Alhasil tidak bisa yakin, dan menyerah karena takut itu. Sebenarnya keyakinan ini bisa dimunculkan, bisa diatur, dikendalikan, asal diri ini kuat dan tidak mudah goyah. Mengucap Bismillah, menarik napas dalam dalam,dan dihembuskan perlahan. Menatap kedepan pasti, senyum penuh semangat, dan niat yang lurus. Insya Allah niat yang baik akan dibukakan pula jalan yang baik. Selama niat kita lillahi ta'ala. What do you notice here??

1 + 1 = 2

2 + 2 = 5

3 + 3 = 6

4 + 4 = 8

5 + 5 = 10

Humans are naturally negative thinkers, mostly on how we were raised.

In school they pointed out everything you did wrong on the test and put "x's" to point out the wrongs instead of "checks" on what you did right. And that's how we are with everyone, everything, but mostly Negative on ourselves...

Which is probably why you noticed "2 + 2 = 5" was wrong..(if you didn't notice then you must be really bad at math lol)

We put so much thought on the negative sides of ourselves, others, and our circumstances that when something good finally shows up, we talk ourselves out of it and find the wrong. When in reality, like the above equations, only 20% of the entire math problems is wrong and 80% is right.

So if we lie to ourselves so much and see things through the wrong filter, we can lie to ourselves about something positive. 

IDK how life works, just sharing what's helped me. And when I tell myself "TODAY IS GOING TO BE FUCKING AWESOME" the day isn't picture perfect, but the day just goes better than days I don't think about having an awesome day.

When things aren't going my way, I tell myself

"EVERYTHING IS AMAZING AND FALLING INTO PLACE"

Does this happen instantly? Not really, but it does always work out for the better when you look for what's going right, rather than what's going wrong.. 

Steve Jobs says you can never connect the dots looking forward, but you can ALWAYS connect the dots looking back.
