Rest in Peace Queen Shannen...
You're free at last, free from all suffering, free from all cruelty...
From a very young age you had to be strong as the press besieged you day and night because you were a young actress with a lot of personality. In those days they called you a rebel, troubled, lost ...
but over time you taught them that you were right, you showed them that they were wrong, and you did it with love, and through your pure and luminous soul.
You had, you have and you will always have a big heart to defend the voiceless, the animals, the injustices they suffered, now they have become orphans without you, just like the thousands of friends you made on and off sets...
The fact your friendships lasted so long and were by your side in good and bad times speaks a lot about you, and you will always be remembered with much love, because you are love and light Shannen...
You have left us a bit orphaned, all of us, who grew up watching you on TV and supporting your causes in favor of animals, but you are now free, you have already freed yourself from pain and from people who did not understand you.
Yours has been a brave fight, you have shown us that it is worth fighting for life despite the circumstances, you have shown us that love heals everything and that the truth eventually comes out. You have been a true Phoenix.
Fly High Shannen, thank you for your visit to Earth, it has been too short, but we will see each other again. A hug wherever you are!! We love you!!

Paris, mon amour...
The 1st of April 2023 my sister and me went to Paris to the Sci-Fi and Manga convention, my sister has been always a great fan and admirer of Shannen Doherty (she has a great tumblr for her, @shannendoherty-fans, please check it out) and I decided to go with her as I liked Shannen Doherty as well, I saw her in Beverly Hills 90210 and in Charmed and it was a great opportunity so see her and her co-stars so close (I loved Charmed!).
The next day, on April 2nd 2023 I went to Montparnasse Cementery to visit Tina Aumont and her mum Maria (I also visited Teresita, although at that time I didn't know she was buried there...). My sister couldn't go but she was happy that I could!!
Who could imagine that some months later Paris would have that connection, that special bond that us, as twin sisters share... when I learned that Shannen Doherty passed away I just shocked, I could not believe it, she was very active in social media and so supportive to her fans, attending all these conventions... I have in my memory the moment I had my photo with her (me I'm the one with dreads and striped shirt), the contact eye I did with her, the smiles we shared... she looked very close, very calm, very human, but very happy as well... my sis (as true fan) did the photo just before me (she's got Shan's book Badass) and then she told me "I told her I love you, I love you, I love you so many times", I was happy for her, she met her idol!! we both were happy and fortunate that we could meet her.
Paris will have forever in our hearts this strange but beautiful bond of being the city when we met Shannen Doherty and where Tina and her mum and auntie rest, and I'm sure when we will visit again it will have another meaning, as we will always remember Shannen Doherty being there, I'm sure we will find some beautiful place there and make it our little shrine for her, laying flowers, and coming back from time to time just to be closer to Shannen, to feel closer to her.
I still cannot believe that she's gone, I see the great posts my sister does in her site that I just enjoy them, but when I read the recent articles, the press, the social media, what her friends say, it's really hard to think she's gone. I still cannot believe it. Thank you Shannen for showing us your many fights, your fragility, your strengh, your heart and your soul, you will never be forgotten.
Fly High Queen!!

“Shannen is a lover, a talented actress, activist, a loving daughter, aunt to my 7 children, my sister, and much more. To call her a trailblazer is an understatement. Her life was dedicated to fighting against the wrongs of the industry, specifically for women. It was crucial to her that the system that did not recognize women’s contributions in the industry through lack of equal pay, objectification, and abuse was actively spoken out against. She took fire and heat for this, speaking up at a time that had direct repercussions on her career. Her working life was never the same, but this did not matter. Her career was the last thing on her mind when it came to ensuring that the women behind her did not experience the same things. She was a force to be reckoned with, especially on the topic of women’s rights, but her giving and kind heart is what pushed her passion into action.
Shannen can be summarized in one word: a fighter. A fighter for those she loves, for those less fortunate, for animals, for the suffering, for equality, for representation, and for fairness. Her battle with cancer is at the bottom of the list, as we all know the Doherty determination and Shannen’s passion guaranteed that her fight for others took priority over herself. I love my sister dearly and will never be able to convey the impact she had on me, my family, and the world.”

Charmed Casting News
Melonie Diaz (The Breaks) has been cast as one of three sisters at the center of the CW’s dramedy pilot Charmed, from Jane the Virgin creator-showrunner Jennie Snyder Urman and CBS TV Studios.
Penned by Jessica O’Toole and Amy Rardin and created with Urman, the Charmed reboot pis set in the present. Per the CW, “this fierce, funny, feminist reboot of the original series centers on three sisters in a college town who discover they are witches. Between vanquishing supernatural demons, tearing down the patriarchy, and maintaining familial bonds, a witch’s work is never done.”
Diaz will play Mel, a passionate, outspoken activist who loses her way in the wake of family tragedy. She joins Ser’Darius Blain, who has been cast as the boyfriend of Mel’s sister Macy.
Urman, O’Toole and Rardin executive produce with Ben Silverman and Brad Silberling, who is set to direct.
The three sisters in the original series, which aired for eight seasons, were played by Shannen Doherty, Holly Marie Combs and Alyssa Milano, with Rose McGowan replacing Doherty after Season 3, playing a new character.
Diaz has been seen in MGM’s thriller The Belko Experiment, directed by Greg McLean, and will be onscreen this spring in the Nash Edgerton-directed Amazon feature Gringo, opposite David Oyelowo, Charlize Theron and Joel Edgerton. Her TV credits include VH1 series The Breaks and the Duplass brothers’ HBO series Room 104.

The 25 Most Inspirational Women of 2016
As 2016 comes to an end, let’s pause for a moment to celebrate some of the amazing women who inspired us this year.   There are so many amazing women out there who have made a difference (continue to everyday) and inspired a lot of people this year, make sure to comment below and share anyone I missed and how they inspired you.
1. Simone Biles
Credit: NBCOlympics
Now the most decorated women gymnast in history, gold-medal winner Biles captured America’s hearts in the 2016 Rio Olympics. Her athleticism, artistry, and heart inspire us to fight for our biggest dreams.
2. Hillary Rodham Clinton
Credit: Gage Skidmore
Mrs. Clinton not only became the first woman presidential nominee in American history, but she also won the popular vote by nearly three million votes. Clinton credits yoga for helping her stay calm and focused.
3. Dianne Bondy
Bondy is a popular yogi whose star continued to rise in 2016. Her message centers around bringing greater diversity into the yoga world with an emphasis on embracing yogis of all shapes and sizes. Her leadership and passion are an asset to the yoga community.
4. Liz Gilbert
Credit: Oprah.com
Author and creativity expert Gilbert is best known for her books Eat, Pray, Love and Big Magic. This year, Gilbert had the courage to share that she had left her second husband (the start of their love affair was chronicled in Eat, Pray, Love) because she had fallen in love with her best friend, musician Rayya Ellis. She continues to motivate and inspire her followers on social media.
5. Michelle Obama
Mrs. Obama, aka FLOTUS (First Lady of the United States), stepped into the limelight during this year’s presidential election with her inspiring (and very yogic) reminder that, “When they go low, we go high.”
6. Seane Corn
Credit: YogaJournal
Corn, everyone’s favorite curly-haired yogi, turned 50 this year and she’s better than ever. Corn’s continued work with the Off the Mat, Into the World foundation, aimed at enacting social justice through the teaching and practice of yoga, is a beautiful example of karma yoga in action.
7. Shannen Doherty
Credit: Shannen Doherty on Instagram
Doherty, former star of Beverly Hills 90210 and Charmed, has been battling breast cancer this year. She continues to document her recovery on Instagram. You can follow her on Instagram at @theshando.
8. Winona LaDuke

LaDuke, a Native American activist and former Green Party candidate, made headlines this year as part of the Standing Rock protests to stop the Dakota Access Pipeline. ““The Standing Rock protest camp represents that struggle for freedom, and the future of a people. The future of all of us,” LaDuke recently said.
9. Ilhan Omar
Credit: StarTribune
Omar, 33, made history this year when she became the first Somali-born, Muslim woman to be elected to Congress. Omar will represent district 60B in the state of Minnesota.
10. Ellen Degeneres
Credit: Newsweek
Ellen has been making us laugh for years. In 2016, her hard work was rewarded with a Presidential Medal of Freedom, the highest honor that can be bestowed upon a civilian. In his remarks at the award ceremony, President Obama said, “Again and again, Ellen DeGeneres has shown us that a single individual can make the world a more fun, more open, more loving place, so long as we ‘just keep swimming.'”
11. Ruth Bader Ginsburg
Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, a.k.a. the Notorious RBG, continues to inspire us with her frank and outspoken manner. At 83, she is the oldest member of the court. This year, she published her memoir, My Own Words.
12. Laverne Cox
Credit: LaverneCox.com
Cox is best known for her role as Sophia Burset, a transgender inmate who’s trapped in solitary confinement on Season 4 of Orange Is the New Black. Cox is also an outspoken advocate for the transgender community. This year, she starred as Frank Furter in the Rocky Horror Picture Show.
13. Arianna Huffington
Credit: The Guardian
Huffington inspired us this year with her mission to help us get a good night’s sleep. She released her book, The Sleep Revolution, and has recently stepped down from her role as editor-in-chief of the The Huffington Post to start her own health and wellness company called Thrive Global.
14. Beyonce Knowles
Credit: Billboard
With the release of her boundary-smashing visual album, Lemonade, and show-stopping Super Bowl performance, Beyonce took the world by storm, inspiring women everywhere to speak their truth and fight for justice. There’s a reason she’s known as Queen Bey to her fans.
15. Shailene Woodley

Actress Woodley added activist to her title through her work this year on behalf of Standing Rock in protest of the Dakota Access Pipeline. Woodley brought worldwide attention to the cause after her October arrest.
16. Michelle Carter

Who didn’t get chills watching Carter, a.k.a. Shot Diva, hoist the American flag over her head after her gold-medal victory? This athlete continues to inspire her many fans with a message of empowerment via social media and speaking engagements.
17. America Ferrera

Actress and activist Ferrera made news in 2016 through her passionate advocacy for Hilary Clinton, proudly declaring, “I’m with her!” at the Democratic National Convention. She also completed her first triathlon in September.
18. Kesha
Credit: REUTERS/David McNew
2016 was a challenging year for Kesha, whofiled a lawsuit against the producer she claimed had assaulted and abused her for years. When her record company refused to release her from her contract, it sparked the “Free Kesha” movement online. She was recently named Trailblazer of the Year at the Billboard Music Awards.
19. Glennon Doyle Melton
Credit: Little Moon Photography
Melton became a household name this year with the publication of Love Warrior: A Memoir, after it was selected as part of Oprah’s Book Club. Her fierce dedication to speaking her truth inspires millions. Melton is now in a relationship with soccer star Abby Wambach, and has inspired us even more by reminding us that love is love.
20. Mothers of the Movement
Credit: TIME
Mothers who lost children as a result of police actions took part in the Democratic National Convention this year, speaking on behalf of the children they had lost too soon. As part of the broader Black Lives Matter movement, these inspiring women continue to work to address gun violence and police brutality.
21. Mother Teresa
Credit: Biography.com
Though she died in 1997, Mother Teresa inspired us this year when she was declared a saint by Pope Francis. Often seen as one of the quintessential examples of a Karma Yogi, someone who practices yoga by serving others, Saint Teresa of Kolkata dedicated her life to serving the poor.
22. Leslie Jones
The New York Times
Jones made headlines in 2016 when she starred in the Ghostbuster remake. But she won our hearts and admiration when she faced down racist attacks on Twitter. Jones continues to make us laugh each week on Saturday Night Live and inspires us with her courage and tenacity.
23. Lady Gaga
Credit: REUTERS/Mike Blake
Not only did Lady Gaga release a chart-topping new album, Joanne, in 2016, but she was also an outspoken force in the 2016 Presidential Election. She recently inspired us with her candid declaration that she is living with PTSD due to being sexually assaulted several years ago.
24. Ashley Graham
Credit: NYMag.com
Graham made news this year as the first size-16 model to grace the cover of the Sports Illustrated swimsuit edition. She continues to work to break rigid definitions of what a woman’s body should look like, recently teaming with Barbie to release a doll in her own image, complete with no thigh gap.
25. Emma Watson
Watson is best known for playing Hermione in the Harry Potter movies, but she’s also a feminist and a UN Women Goodwill Ambassador.  She continued her fight for women’s rights in 2016 and made news in November when she left feminist books in the New York City subway after the Presidential election.

Actress' Justine Brandy posts on her instagram:
(for the top photo) "Found this picture of shannen , Joe sirola and myself. I think was 1989 at my mom's Valentine's Day party. I love seeing all the pictures posted by her friends and loved ones so I'll share the ones I have as I find them."
(for the bottom one) "When I met Shannen I had just moved to California. She was immediately welcoming, warm and friendly. We had lost touch over the years but the Shannen I knew was a fierce and loyal friend. She was passionate and always fought for what she believed in. She once paid for a cab (yes before Uber) for me from century city to Tarzana. My car was in the shop and she knew I was feeling sad and didn't want me to be alone. There are endless stories like that. She would do anything for her friends. Shannen had a profound impact on my life. I am devastated by her passing. RIP Shannen. Sending my love and prayers to your friends and family. 💐"

Original Cast Returns for Bizarre Beverly Hills 90210 Reboot
The reboot of the 1990s hit Fox show Beverly Hills, 90210 is certainly a big surprise for everyone as it has been almost two decades since the series was canceled. The series was a phenomenon in itself at the time, and it helped the Fox network as we know it. The cast was turned into teen idols during the time it was broadcast in the1990’s. But the upcoming BH90210 is not a simple reboot of the initially canceled popular TV series.
The main cast of the original 90210 is returning to reprise their roles into the finely tuned versions of themselves for the upcoming reboot of BH90210. The upcoming series is going to be a pre-scripted, pseudo-reality show stirred by casts real lives and interactions with spouses.
The creators Tori Spelling and Jennie Garth got the idea when Ian Ziering proposed a parallel notion back in 2000 for the 10th anniversary of 90210. Even Luke Perry was on board about the idea as he had committed to Riverdale to do as many episodes he could. The idea, however, was turned down by the network at that time. Shannen Doherty did not initially want to return, but after Perry passed away this March, she agreed to honor Perry’s memory.
The Returning Cast
The show is going to reference the 1990’s original  90210, but will completely disregard the 2008-2013 CW reboot. Several familiar faces agreed to rejoin along with seven main lead actors. The show will undoubtedly stir up nostalgia in the heart of the longtime fans from the 1990s.
Here is the list of the cast who is confirmed to come back for Beverly Hills 90210.
Jason Priestley as Himself.
Jason played the role of Brandon Walsh on the original 90210, but in the upcoming BH90210, he is going to represent himself in the role. Jason is YA dramas TV director who is unsatisfied with his career in a creative way.
Jennie Garth as Herself.
Jennie played the role of Kelly Taylor for consecutive ten seasons in the original 90210. However, this time around, she has been through some marriages and is going to deal with raising teens in Hollywood.
Carol Potter as Herself
Carol played Cindy Walsh, who was the mother of Brandon and Brenda the twins.
Ian Ziering as Himself
Ian portrays Steve Sanders in the original, but now he will be appearing as an entrepreneur who is building a fitness brand.
Brian Austin Green as Himself
Tori portrayed Donna Martin in the original 90210. Her role is the closest one to the real-life version of herself as she will be a mom with six kids who has just gotten her show canceled.
Vanessa Lachey as Camille.
Vanessa played Jason Priestley’s spouse, who is an influential Hollywood activist.
Ivan Sergei as Nate.
Ivan portrayed Tori Spelling’s significant half and is an ex-hockey star.

5 Female-Led TV Reboots We’re Actually Looking Forward To
Welcome to the era of the reboot, where every revival announcement is met with excitement, backlash and skepticism. Here’s what we’ve learned so far: we don’t need Hollywood to revisit all its former glories (ahem, Roseanne), but there are some shows that have surprising relevancy in 2018 (hi, Queer Eye!). Which late 90s and early aught female characters could we realistically see hanging out with heroins of Handmaid’s Tale and badass girls of GLOW? Here are five feminist series coming to primetime and streaming that we actually support—and that we really hope live up to the hype.
Photography via Instagram/@itssabrinaspellman
The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina
THE ORIGINAL: Sabrina the Teenage Witch, starring Melissa Joan Hart as an American teenager with magical powers, originally aired on ABC from September 27, 1996 to April 24, 2003.
THE REBOOT: Sabrina is heading to Netflix with Mad Men’s Kiernan Shipka as its broom-straddling star. The reboot has, of course, been rebranded for the millennial binge-watcher: The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina is less family-friendly sitcom, and more “dark coming-of-age story that traffics in horror, the occult and, of course, witchcraft.”
The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina will drop on Netflix October 26, 2018.
Photography via Instagram/@charmed.piper
Charmed
THE ORIGINAL: Charmed originally aired on the CW Network between October 7, 1998 to May 21, 2006, with Holly Marie Combs, Alyssa Milano and Shannen Doherty (who, *spoiler*, gets replaced by Rose McGowan when she dies at the end of season three.)
THE REBOOT: Primetime’s favourite trio of witch sisters is coming back to the CW, and this time, they’re making them “feminists.” (How does the OG cast feel about this reimagining? Holly Marie Combs tweeted: “Guess we forgot to do that the first go around. Hmph.”)
Here’s a preview of the second-gen “Power of Three”: the youngest sister is desperately trying to join her campus sorority, the middle is a lesbian activist and the eldest is a genius geneticist who also happens to be half-black. Charmed 2.0 was written by Jane the Virgin’s Jessica O’Toole and Amy Rardin, so we have high hopes that it will deliver on its promise to hex the patriarchy.
In Canada, Charmed will premiere October 14, 2018 at 9 E/P on the W Network.
Photography via Instagram/@powerdressing
Murphy Brown
THE ORIGINAL: The original Murphy Brown aired from November 14, 1988 to May 18, 1998 on CBS, with Candice Bergen as its lead.
THE REBOOT: Candice Bergen is reprising her role as the series’ titular character of the award-winning sitcom, with cast members Nik Dodani, Faith Ford, Joe Regalbuto and Grant Shaud confirmed to also appear in the new episodes. Murphy Brown will once again follow a team of investigative journalists working for a broadcast news station, and this time around, showrunners say it will focus on “a world of cable news, social media, fake news, and a very different political and cultural climate.”
Murphy Brown will premiere September 27, 2018 at 9:30 E/P on CBS.
Photography via Instagram/@brunette2000sbitch
Buffy the Vampire Slayer
THE ORIGINAL: The Sarah Michelle Gellar-led Buffy the Vampire Slayer TV series that aired on the WB Network between March 10, 1997 to May 20, 2003 was actually itself a reboot. The series was based on the 1992 film of the same title, which starred Kristy Swanson.
THE REBOOT: At the 2018 San Diego Comic-Con, news began circulating that a Buffy the Vampire Slayer reboot was on its way. Series creator Joss Whedon was announced as an executive producer, with writer Monica Owusu-Breen, best known for Alias and Lost, acting as the new showrunner. When The Hollywood Reporter broke the story, they wrote that the series “features a black actress stepping into the role of Buffy made famous by [Michelle] Gellar.” This statement, which ignited mixed reviews, was later clarified by Owusu-Breen:
pic.twitter.com/Sdz4oKh3gM
— monicaowusubreen (@monicabreen) July 26, 2018
The specifics about the reboot have kept under wraps, though it’s reported that the show will tackle modern social issues—just as the original series did back in the ’90s.
The series is currently in development at 20th Century Fox Television, but it is not yet known when and where it will air.
Photography via Instagram/@maratonand0
Veronica Mars
THE ORIGINAL: Veronica Mars aired on the CW between September 22, 2004 to May 22, 2007 with Kristen Bell as its eponymous lead character.
THE REBOOT: Surprise! On August 21, Entertainment Weekly reported that a reboot of the fan favourite mystery series has actually been in the works for the past several months, and is set to return on Hulu. Many of the details are yet to be finalized, however its been revealed that the series’ creator, Rob Thomas, and its star, Kristen Bell, are both on board.
The Veronica Mars reboot will be released on Hulu, though we don’t yet know when.

From my sister's blog.
I still cannot believe Shannen is gone, we were so so lucky we decided to go to Paris and met her, no one knew a year later she'd be gone...
RIP
Tumblr media

New Theme!
I have decided to change the blog's theme.
Shannen wanted to be known for her advocacy for animals. She's also been known for her fierce battle against cancer. She was very vocal and passionate about these 2 subjects, and I found in these pics the combination of both.
I'll be adding more art and changing few things here and there in the pages, I want this site to look very beautiful (I just don't have much time).
For now this is the 1st step and I hope you all like it.
Queen warrior Shannen, you are sorely missed. Gone but never forgotten.
