being in true sexyman nostalgia mode today (on account of. IT'S BEEN ONE YEAR BABY.) i think one of the most fascinating things about it is that we will never manage to do that again. like, not in a "we couldn't organize it better" way; there were better ways to do the spreadsheet, we would just turn off comments on posts and anon asks from day one so that we wouldn't then get people accusing us of censorship while we tried and failed to control the tide of things that ended up in the comments and inbox, we'd definitely have a WAY higher non-hermit contingent, both thanks to qsmp and thanks to the sexyman blog and medusa now having MUCH wider reach to other corners of the fandom and the original spread not all rooting at me, etc.

but the reason we couldn't do it again is that i don't know if we could ever replicate the exact circumstances that lead to it blowing up quite to the extent it blew up.

it was while tumblr polls and doing tumblr poll brackets on tumblr itself was still new-ish, and people were still excited about them. the idea of a mcytblr bracket was basically brand new; i won't claim we did it FIRST (because i have no idea if we did and doubt we did), but certainly we did it big first. so there's that; we can never again invent in real time "shit people are sending us threats about fraud lets legalize fraud because its funny, we can't stop it, and that neutralizes that drama as a thing anyone will take seriously", and then in turn accidentally invent a fandom culture of. um. wide-spread voter fraud.

(i don't know if we should apologize for, uh, causing the specific way mcytblr voter frauds. i still think it was better than the alternative at least, especially after seeing how so many other polls crashed and burned after us. there were MANY things we could have done better but i have seen SO MANY ways we could have done things worse since then so i think we came out looking pretty okay.)

but also: february 2023 was a very different time in mcytblr. we were in a hermitcraft dead period, where most of the hermits were either on vacation or playing tcg (which was fun, but didn't end up generating that much fandom activity by that time in february). the former dsmp crew was very much doing Nothing (and in that awkward space when the entire fandom knew dsmp 2 was never happening, but also people were still claiming it would happen, so it was just... busy waiting). qsmp didn't exist yet. there was no ongoing life series and wouldn't be for some time. i think even the dominioners and lifestealers were in a fairly dead zone. there was very little new for people to be excited about, mcyt content-wise.

enter: our poll. our poll which cleo then thinks its funny to call out on twitter. our poll, which was not only new mcyt content for the fandom to interact with (thanks to the fact we KEPT GETTING CC INTERACTIONS???), but participatory.

for about two weeks, we were the mcyt event de jour.

and like. the thing is. now we're in february 2024. mcyt is BOOMING. a new hermitcraft season JUST STARTED. we came off of vault hunters before that. meanwhile, qsmp just restarted and is, if i'm understanding correctly, booming. they just added a new guy! the two current juggernauts of the fandom are in FULL SWING. i honestly think we'd be somewhat overtaken by the fact things are actually happening in fandom. there's stuff to do that ISN'T go insane about a poll.

and it's not new, and we've seen it all before now, and frankly, it's hard to cause a mass hysteria event TWICE. lightning in a bottle, as they say.

i think part of the reason we all just REMEMBER mcytblr sexyman so much is that we could never, ever recreate it, so it remains crystalized in a single moment in time, impossible to replicate, forever memorable.

summary: carlos de vil tries to deal with a crush and has his first interaction since first seeing her. (alternate title: jay is an amazing wingman.)

A red ball bounced off the wall of Carlos’ and Jay’s shared dorm. Dude chased after it, tongue sticking out as he panted. When Carlos received the ball back, it’d been completely soaked in dog slobber, earning a disgusted groan from him.

“Ugh, Dude.”

“What? I don’t have hands for paws!” The Brussels Griffon retorted.

Carlos rolled his eyes and turned over to Jay, who’d recently set up a little punching bag for training. It’s all he ever came to the room to do besides sleeping.

“What am I gonna do, man? Do you think she even likes me?” Carlos had recently taken a sudden interest in a girl that’d passed by him in the Great Hall… flowing dark hair, elegant clothes (she actually managed to make the uniform look good), and her face. God, her face. Carlos could stare at her for days. She’s seriously all he’d been thinking about.

“Chillax, she probably doesn’t even know your name.” Jay realized what he’d said and stopped hitting the punching bag for a second to look at his woeful friend, “Or… she does! And she’s curious about you too!” He tried to keep his spirits high and uplifting, surprising behavior for the guy if Carlos was being honest.

“I’m doomed.”

“Just talk to her, you coward!” Dude yipped, beady black eyes piercing into Carlos’ own. “You need to get to know her name first before you start thinking way ahead, you know?!”

Jay cut in, “Wait, you don’t even know her name?!” He cackled, running his both hands through his hair in amusement.

“Shut up! Oh my, God!” Carlos threw a pillow towards Jay, hiding his face behind his hands.

“It’s pathetic. Really!” Dude barked out, making biscuits on the pillow Carlos threw at Jay.

Carlos turned to his side, facing the wall. He hugged himself tightly, crossing his arms over his chest for comfort. He brought his knees down, letting his legs hang from the foot of the bed.

It didn’t take a while for Jay to finally take pity on him. He sat beside Carlos on his bed, muscular arms resting behind his back. “Sounds to me you really… like her.” If it wasn’t any more obvious. Jay snickered to himself. “What if I lend you a hand?”

At that, Carlos immediately shot up. “What?! What’re you going to do?! Talk to her?!”

“No, you idiot! You’re talking to her.” Jay said with a smug smile. Carlos wasn’t too fond of the idea, what if he messed up? What if the wrong words slipped out? Everything and anything could go wrong!

“No. No! I can’t! She’ll hate me!”

“Carlos.” Jay pulled Carlos to face him, hands gripping his shoulders, his eyes dug deep into Carlos’ own, staring back intensely at two circles of brown. “Man. The hell. Up.”

The other let out an exasperated groan, pulling away from Jay’s grip to let himself fall back flat on the bed.

It shouldn’t have been that hard, right? Jay had already given Carlos a set of questions he can start off with, scribbled messily on the palm of his hand. So the conversation can go smoothly from there.

He turned to look at Jay who hid in a potted plant not too far behind, an earpiece tucked under his long hair. Carlos also wore an earpiece, a lot more visible than Jay’s but it shouldn’t matter.

Jay gave Carlos an assuring thumbs up signal as he ducked down in the leaves.

Carlos took a deep breath, raising a fist to knock against a dorm room, when suddenly it swung open violently, revealing you. The De Vil boy had nothing to say, words getting stuck in his throat.

You both continued to stare at each other before you finally broke the awkward silence. “Uh, can I… help you?” You asked tentatively, fixing your hair at the sight of a visitor.

“Ah- Y-Yes! Uhh…” Carlos swallowed a large lump in his throat, eyes darting back and forth towards a large potted plant and the girl that stood before him. Her. “I’ve… I’m sure I’ve seen you around before, I never c-caught your name though.” He finally spoke, peaking not-so-discretely at his palm.

You gave him your name uncertainly, “And you are…”

“C—“

You cut him off abruptly with a snap of your fingers, “Carlos De Vil! Yeah, I’ve heard of you.”

Carlos winced, “What have you heard about me exactly?”

“Oh, uh…” You hesitated in answering, fidgeting with your fingers, “Not much. You play Tourney right? You’re on the team?” Carlos lit up at the mention of the sport.

“Yeah, yeah! I play! Do- Do you?”

“Um, they don’t allow girls on the team.” You smiled sheepishly and god, did Carlos almost faint on the spot.

“Right…”

“Is that it?”

Carlos paused, dusting his clothes off and straightening up. “Yeah- That’s- That’s all.”

You tilted your head to the side in curiosity, as if waiting for Carlos to say more, but you shrugged and closed the door behind you, excusing yourself. “It was nice talking to you. Bye.”

You shot him a grin, and you could swear his cheeks started turning pink. A giggle only left your lips as you walked past the boy and a mysterious potted plant that suspiciously had a familiar beanie thrown over it. But you paid no mind and strolled away. Cute.

Jay dropped the bat, catching his breath, his face and body covered in blood. “fuck this suit was expensive.” He cursed. “princess.” He turned to you. “lets go.” He held is bloody hand out. “I got us reservations at your favorite place.” He squeezed your hand, pulling you next to him.

Guy: Hola perdón por molestarte. Es que soy un gran fan de Jude. ¿Está bien si nos tomemos una foto? (Hey, sorry to bother you. It’s just that I’m a huge fan of Jude. Is it okay if we take a photo?)

Y/N smiled widely at the question. 

Y/N: “¡Claro!” (Of course!)

They both pose for the infamous photo and the friend retrieves it from the video. 

Guy: “Gracias t/n!” Te lo agradezco.” (Thank you Y/N! I appreciate it) The boy expresses. Y/N smiles and nods at the fan. 

Y/N: “¡Por nada! Tengan una bonita noche, que la disfruten!” (You’re welcome! Have a great night guys, enjoy it!) Y/N wishes, ready to part ways. 

Guy: “¡Me saludas a Jude, porfa!” (Say hello to Jude for me, please!) The guy pleads, causing Y/N to giggle at the interaction. 

Y/N: “Cuéntalo hecho!” (Count it as done!) Y/N smiles before walking away. Keeping her promise, later that night mentioning the encounter to Jude. 

Y/N leaves and the friend starts to scold his friend. 

Friend: “No manches! Salistes bien amargado en la foto wey!” (Seriously? You came out so bitter in the photo, dumbass!)

Y/N’s POV: 

I spread my limbs throughout the comfy bed but not as comfortable as the one awaiting me back home. My eyes flutter open, as I bask in my last morning in Mexico. 

The morning sun shining through the window, brightening up the room. I take one last look through the window, the tree tall and green, dogs laying out on the ground, the pretty plants and the great range of mountains surrounding the rancho. 

I let out a deep sigh as I sat up in bed, a mixed emotion about leaving this place. Leaving the peaceful and warm lifestyle that is Mexico was always heart wrenching but my skin tingles at the thought of going back home. Not a home, like a house or a place but Jude. Jude is my home. 

I smiled at the thought of him and a warmth at my core enlights. 

A home cooked meal was already awaiting me in the kitchen and family slowly started filling my grandparents' home to say their goodbyes. 

I frown at the thought of leaving them but I know life would never be the same if I stayed. 

The time is approaching to my last minutes with everyone. An emotional goodbye to the animals, the beautiful home that holds many wonderful memories, and of course to all of my family especially my grandparents. 

“Te amamos mija. Ya sabes que aqui siempre esta tu casa, (we love you darling. You know that you’ll always have your home here” My grandma tells and we pull each other into a tight hug. 

I wipe the tears that we are threatening to spill. 

“Hasta luego muñeca que dios la bendiga! (Until next time doll god bless you!)” My grandpa expressed as he kissed my cheek, pulling me into his arms. 

After all the goodbyes, my uncle started the truck and loaded my luggages. 

On our way to the airport I watched the landscapes contentedly and whispered my goodbyes to the familiar roads.

2. I remember ferry making headcanons on the voices of pafl characters. do you have something like that? like... are there any songs that you associate with adm characters voices? or maybe the vocaloids that you use would be suitable for this roles?

I would like to know a little more about daily interactions between misha and andrey. what could it have been before misha got into a time loop? these two "hate eachother basically"(©my fav pic), right? was it something like the cold war and them trying to ignore each other's existence, accompanied by contemptuous glances? or maybe frequent and loud quarrels?? OR maybe they pretended that everything was fine and there was no tension whatsoever, but any of them often irritated the other one or threw caustic phrases in order to offend him???

"I'm sure that guy will fall for you, you look super cute. I bet he won't be able to resist you." Your friend grabbed your shoulders tightly, more excited than you. "And I think he's coming!" She let out a small squeal and winked at you before running off.

You glanced to the side and saw your older brother and his best friend walking towards you. Your heart raced wildly as you saw the guy you'd secretly liked since childhood holding a bouquet of roses. You smiled as you approached your brother to greet him with a tight hug.

"I thought you might not make it..." You murmured as he hugged you tightly, lifting you in the air with a big smile on his face.

"I'm the boss, I can leave whenever I want, little sis." He gently put you down, looking at you fondly. It had been months since they last saw each other.

You smiled at your brother, missing him, but the laughter of your crush interrupted the reunion and made your stomach churn, like butterflies fluttering inside. You turned to him, trembling with nerves.

"Hello..." You greeted, your voice sounding like that of a little girl. You hated how your voice changed when you spoke to him.

"You look pretty," he mentioned, smiling at you, a genuine smile. You wished to kiss him right then. He looked you up and down with seriousness. "Pink suits you."

You swallowed hard, even more nervous at his compliments. You had never had such a long conversation with him. You glanced at the roses unintentionally, not wanting to show your exhaustion in front of everyone.

Yo! Im the loke/laxus anon, you totallly ate there, i was very invested in the gamer au. And also i wanted to ask, if it's okay would natsu/cobra hcs be cool? Randomly found some fanart of it on pinterest and I was like. Hm. I dont fully understand the concept but intriguing

That one is quite the struggle to imagine. Natsu is the kind of person that requires patience and a certain joie de vivre to get along with. Cobra has neither of those.

Natsu is the one who starts pursuing Cobra, not even romantically at first but just to hang out with him. He's very concerned about Cobra being such a loner and frowning all the time.

This does not go over well. Cobra, as he would remind Natsu, has friends, and doesn't need pink-haired loudmouths clinging to him. Natsu quickly recognizes this train of thought (i.e. only hanging out with a select group of friends and shunning everyone else) as akin to Laxus' behavior pre-Fantasia, and forces the issue.

They fight a few times. Natsu gets stomped, even without Cobra's ability to read minds. Shockingly, this doesn't work to deter him--I know, incredible surprise.

It gets to a point where Cobra is seriously thinking about killing Natsu--not as a joke, just outright that tired of him--when he trips up one day and they have their first real connection. Cobra is feeding a nearby snake, completely lost in his thoughts, so much so his super-hearing doesn't pick up Natsu nearby. Natsu is super proud to catch Cobra, a bad guy, doing something "nice".

Cobra, concerned about his image, defends himself with the rationale that he's not being nice. He's just the cog in the wheel of nature that was selected as the means for an animal to feed itself. It's total bullshit and Natsu calls him on it, too.

This ends up being the weakness that lets Natsu get close, though. He always wants to be around when Cobra feeds snakes or other wildlife, and Cobra never wants to do it in front of him, and when he's finally caught again, he gives the rationale that he does it because even things that aren't pretty or soft deserve to eat.

Cobra only starts truly being able to tolerate Natsu more (well, for a generous value of "tolerate"--he'd still rather Natsu leave him alone) when Natsu starts to expand his unasked-for presence to the rest of the Oracion Seis, which in turn helps him understand Cobra more. Cobra has a familiarity with animal senses and instinct that has helped him pull Racer out of some dark places when he over-uses his hyper speed magic, and he has a grounded attachment to reality that has helped Angel when she starts to dissociate. He even knows a few tricks for maintaining focus and clearing one's head, something he's had to use to counteract his overcranked hearing and which he taught to Midnight to help him sleep. Natsu doesn't start to fall for Cobra until he sees why the other members of the Seis cherish him as much as they do.

Natsu does attempt to be more """"serious"""" around Cobra, if only to not annoy him so much, and the effort is silently appreciated. Natsu lowering the volume and the rapid pace helps him interact with Cobra a lot.

At one point, Cobra gets separated from the rest of the Seis for some misadventure or other that goes pretty rough. Natsu manages to track him down by following his scent, only by the time he does, Cobra's all banged up, soaking wet from rain, ears hurting, and in a shitty mood. Natsu gets him to a safe spot and tosses him a bottle of pain meds for the headache he undoubtedly has, tosses him some dry sweatpants, lets him un-fuckup himself on his own.

Cobra fucks Natsu into another dimension that night, is what I'm saying. Like, something breaks, he just drags Natsu into a room, throws him on a bed--no words, just angry, needy, self-hating, frustrated pumping.

And from there on, whatever's between them is difficult to put a label on. Natsu is into it, Cobra isn't, and there's an understanding that if Natsu ever tells anyone he's dead to rights.

Every once in a while, whatever the hell they are will soften into something that could be. Some cuddling on the couch. Fingers in Natsu's hair. Cobra docile as long as Natsu stays quiet and doesn't move too fast. Cobra will accept the illusion of being loved by someone as long as he doesn't have to consider that it might be real.

Star Wars Jedi Survivor is a masterpiece. ♥️

I finally played this game. I'm happy because I managed to avoid any sort of spoiler before playing this game (since I had exams, I couldn't play it before), so I thoroughly enjoyed it (while for JFO I got spoiled the ending so I couldn't feel very fulfilled with it) .

What can I say about this game? I have no words. I'm speechless.

Let's start with the fact that I loved the first game, I fell in love with Cal, BD1 and the entire Mantis crew. I loved their dynamics, their stories and everything. So I had high hopes for this new game. And they managed to take those expectations and go even beyond them.

To me, it felt more of an interactive movie than a game itself. The graphics were amazing (even if there were few issues with frame rates, although they didn't prevent the overall enjoyment of the game in general).

The story and the characters were so well-written: the final betrayal of Bode, the death of Cere, another appearance of Vader and this time we could fight him (I honestly didn't expect that we would find Vader again), the final battles, the story between Cal and Merrin taken to a new step. I loved it all.

Also all those new skills and stances we could apprehend were amazing; the fact that we started with the abilities already learned from the first game and then developed new ones here was so on point, because it felt like we were growing even more with Cal, discovering new sides of himself and his connection with the Force.

One thing I adored with all my heart was Cal's darkness towards the end of the game, because as we know all Jedi go through a fight within themselves with the dark side. And feeling all those sentiments of hatred and rage with Cal, and embracing the dark side as an actual ability in the game was phenomenal. I low-key wished we could unlock a force choke ability (since towards the end of the game Cal was almost force choking that commander if it wasn't for Merrin). I really hope for the third game we will have something like this, because it would be so freaking cool.

Speaking of third game, the plot points for the next game are very promising. There's this fight within Cal with his dark side, his relationship with Merrin, and then there's the thing with Kata. And there's the Hidden Path too. It'll be interesting to see where they'll go from here, but it all seems very promising and I can't wait for it all.

Exploration was on point as the first game, although the planets to fully explore are just a couple (Koboh and Jedha), with one actually not being that new (Jedha was just another sand planet 🙃). Nonetheless, it was exciting discovering new characters and new boss fights while exploring, it was thrilling.

Also, I loved how in this game they added so many friendly interactions with animals: petting boglings and nekkos has become an obsession of mine 🥲😍

Also, the rumors were nice. It gave you the chance to explore even more places and meet new random characters along the way, and that gives a sort of authenticity to the game in my opinion .

Another things I absolutely loved in this game: the freaking SOUNDTRACK. Guys, seriously, the music had a ton of impact, especially in the final cutscenes: Cere's death with Cal beside her, the final fight with Boss, the trip through the Abyss. Seriously, kudos to the composers, because music is so meaningful to me in a movie, or in this case a game: the right music can do magic, but the wrong music would kill the mood in a second. I have been listening to the soundtrack album a lot, no kidding.

Cameron Monaghan is an incredible actor, that's nothing new (especially if you've watched his roles in Shameless or Gotham, which I LOVED); so I could basically feel what Cal felt, his acting was top tier *chef kiss*.

Having said so, there were more pros than cons while playing this game (the cons being as already said just some small issues with frame rates, nothing really big).

I will definitely be playing this game more and more times, and probably won't ever get tired of it. The new game + with the red lightsaber? YES SIR.

Et d'ailleurs pour ceux qui ont lu Sur la dalle [I don't think it has been translated in English yet, so I'm not translating this part, but if you're interested in my thoughts on Adamsberg/Veyrenc, send me an ask] , on en parle, de l'immense naturel de Jean-Baptiste pour admirer paisiblement ses collègues hommes ? Comme dans chaque bouquin depuis son arrivée, pas mal de passages sur la beauté de Veyrenc (Jean-Bapt ton crush is showing), et là, le nombre de réflexions qu'il se fait sur le commissaire Matthieu... De l'autre côté, le Matthieu en question est en pâmoison devant Adamsberg aussi, faut le dire. C'était fascinant.

Et dans ce dernier volume, pas de spoilers, mais le seul perso qui soit systématiquement sur la même longueur d'ondes que Adamsberg est Veyrenc. Il n'y a pas un seul moment où il est dubitatif, ou critique, non, au contraire. Ils n'ont définitivement pas assez de "scènes" rien qu'eux deux, mais chacune de leurs conversations en solo ou de leurs interactions devant le reste des personnages les présentent comme étant totalement synchronisés et évoquent leur très longue histoire commune. J'aurais tellement aimé que Vargas nous donne plus d'interactions entre eux deux. Il y a deux passages en particulier qui m'ont rendu folle, le passage du taureau et le passage du "film d'Adamsberg", ceux qui ont lu le livre sauront de quoi je parle.

Bref. Six ans d'attente avant le prochain tome de nouveau ? Je sens que je vais craquer et finir par écrire mes propres "chapitres manquants"... Alleeeez les gars, qu'on remplisse ce tag un peu, à vos stylos et vos claviers ! Je suis sûre que beaucoup d'entre vous peuvent être inspirés.

in the west end/toronto Show Me Love, William started giving a tour of paris. i dont know the exact words for the first bit, but this is how the interaction went:

William: I hope you're enjoying this other eden, this demi-paradise, this-

Anne: Okay, getting awfully wordy for a carriage driver!

William: Well I actually used to be a writer, until somebody took my job!

Anne: Okay. Just take us to Paris.

which is, tbh, the cutest thing ever. i love that interaction i wish we still had it

Francois didn't sing 'show me love and what it's all about' in west end or toronto, he just had an 8-bit version play and said nothing

in the Juliet/Frankie interaction, after Overprotected ends (Francois is cut off by Lance, which is why in the recordings he says 'hello' at the end), Lance comes in with Madeline* (insert some french last name idk), a princess that Lance wants Francois to marry. the interaction goes something like this:

Lance: Francois! This is Madeline (french last name), the crowned jewel of Paris.

Juliet: Oh, actually we were just talki-

Lance: Madeline is a princess!

Juliet: Okay! Nice to meet ya, Vaseline!

Madeline, with a french accent: Actually, it's Madeline!

Juliet: Okay? Well I may not be a princess, but I was here first! So, you can leave!

[Madeline and Lance leave and Juliet laughs]

Francois: Are you out of your mind? He will NEVER let me get away with that!

As we travel deeper and deeper down the Timekeeper rabbit hole. It about time we cover an agenda, something what I think Cookie Run fandom lacks and needs more of:

I do like seeing them happy, like have you seem polyancient or purelily ship art?! IT'S ADORABLE!!! Sure, the voice in my head says "aww cute", the second, just as loud, voice in head says "I want a ungodly amount of suffering to come to you. . ."

But what can worse than their already going through in the orginal plot? Look no further attention to my AU

To this rant less of an essay: PV and friends accidentally summon Timekeeper, and in order to save not only Earthbread but their overall existence, they have be TK's playthings. The kicker? This takes in the further future of the game, when Dark Enchantress converts back into White Lily, adding more to the pain factor

So what pretell is worse than fighting your best friend or learning your true purpose in life? Why not become the Barbie dolls of a being who can kill you within an instant?!

What's that? They're all technically immoral??? Well strap in folks cause it's a faith worse than death!!!

Going off topic here, I also think their dynamic would be interesting. Think about it: The Ancient Heros, a bunch of old farts who are fresh out of a war, enjoy the simpler things in life, and wanna get into a routine; but Timekeeper is rambunctious, lives for entertainment, and hates routine to a T

All that being said, get to the important stuff here, their relationship; other than it's the equivalent of having a bomb strapped to your back or being held at gunpoint

We'll cover each hero one by one☆

Pure Vanilla Cookie: He's willing to do anything for Earthbread, even if that means becoming the literal boy-toy of time itself. Was the first in the group to say "Guys, if we don't do this, we'll all dead!" Overall, the most accepting of his faith. Is he terrified? Absolutely! Put into consideration that TK is stronger than what DE could or will ever be. Also, though not totally understanding their hobbies or musical interest, he still cheers them on or even indulges in it, likely being forced

Golden Cheese Cookie: Possibly the easiest to win over, the two have a lot in common and connected easily. Although at first, she didn't know what to feel about TK when they first show up. Golden was egotistical, believing her powers surpassed all, but when the Timekeeper, a being stronger than not just her but DE, shows up, it almost shatters Golden's ego, especially since they're a blur when they fight. Like PV, she doesn't understand their interest in musical theater, in fact doesn't see the liking of musical theater in general

Hollyberry Cookie: Her first thought was definitely "Oh what's the worst thing that can happen?" Everything. Every. f*cking. thing. Home girl just wanted to protect her kingdom and friends from threats, and no amount protection is gonna help us with *that*. But, Holly trusts PV, believing that in order to save their kingdoms and the world, is to let TK get their way, and it somewhat works? Also, Holly learns very quickly that Timekeeper isn't affected by alcohol berry juice. Very quickly don't ask why

White Lily Cookie: And she thought Dark Enchantress was scary. Seriously, the poor thing was/still is terrified of Timekeeper. To think, a happy life with her friends, with PV, all thrown out the window. Like Holly, Lily trusts Pure Vanilla with every inch in her body and also believes that letting TK do what they wanted with them was the safest option, you know how when you're of scared or uninterested in something, but as time goes on, you grow more curious of it? That's what happens with Lily. She gains more and more curious and almost intrigued by TK. An example of this is through theater, whenever TK performs, Lily watches in awe and adoringly. Timekeeper to Lily's eyes is like mother tiger, beautiful and magnificent beast yes, but better a few feet away, or behind glass

Dark Cacao Cookie: Legit thought TK was hell spawn the minute they showed up, diffidently the hardest egg to crack, even making the dumb decision of wanting to fight them. After learning how dire the situation actually was, and fighting was in fact, not an option, he decides he wanted nothing to do with him. All those years of prepping, preparing for war, now fruitless when dealing with Timekeeper. This obviously, doesn't work considering they destroy the citadel's wall within a second, or the fact they just teleport to him at a given moment. Even when he does warm up to TK, he still finds them annoying

And the final touch would be bonus head canons:

☆Timekeeper does crazy and or messed-up sh*t just for the pure sensation of the five's reaction. They also make sure it isn't consistent pattern, so they never know their next move

☆TK likes touching faces, especially if it's Pure Vanilla's, they like squishing his cheeks. That could be cause very touch-starved

☆At a given moment, TK had jump-scared several people by teleporting into a room or behind someone

☆White Lily finds herself "stalking" Timekeeper whenever they're alone to learn more about them, jotting notes in a little journal. It normally ends TK leaving only to appear it right behind her

☆After finding out they're not affected by alcohol, Holly and Cheese like testing TK's different abilities by arranging these different bets

☆Despite their amount of power, they love playing a good game of "cat and mouse" with Dark Cacao and creme wolves, just annoying him long enough so gives chase

☆TK is quite diverse with it comes to musical instrument, the one they play the most is the piano. Their favorite music genres is both eclectic and normal swing, so if I they get to be in the same room as a piano, you're in for fun night

☆The ancient heroes can all chilling for a second before being dragged into some crazy shenanigans by TK, whether that be one of their hobbies or musical theater fun

☆ Since Golden Cheese and Pure Vanilla both hang out with TK the most, the two learn alot about importance of performance and showmanship

☆ The other ancient heroes constantly give Dark Cacao sh*t for getting involved with TK

Going into 'angst' territory, with Timekeeper being around, it impacts the friendship of the five heroes. On one side, we have Dark Cacao Cookie, who refuses to be some 'object' and wants to take action, but then you got everyone else who thinks fighting back would be pointless and making them happy and entertained is their best, and safest option. Dark Cacao being dramatic, questions whether or not their friendship means anything, and decides he wants nothing to them also. Which to their defense, it's not like they don't agree with him, it just that DC's plan was kinda stupid and escalate quickly

Alright gang! El Cazador de la Bruja EP23 was painful and then very good and then once again painful!!

First things first: Ellis really healed Nadie with the power of her love, huh? Just made her glow all pretty and bam - healed! (I don't really think she fell unconscious from relief - though that may be a part of it - but using magic has always had the effect of her falling unconscious for a bit because of the energy it takes I think, but anyway!) It really hit her too that she hurt Nadie, although not intentionally, and that she had no way to really control it I suppose. I'm a bit miffed that Blue-eyes went all "Yes, you did this." because it felt to me like she was intentionally making it sound like Ellis did it on purpose, so that Ellis would be very aware of the consequences that using her power would/could bring. But also, isn't Ellis suffering enough already? :(

She didn't even want to look at Nadie, she just walked away with the intention of never seeing her again and ough! That hurt! Interesting was the way the grandpa interacted with her (and given the way that he apparently was controlled as well, the way he talked to Nadie, though I'm not as sure about that one) because to me it sounded like encouragement. Like "Yeah, it's not looking so great right now, but you're still learning and growing. It's going to get better." and that's not a bad advice (even though it was very bad timing because Ellis was obviously still reeling from Nadie being hurt). And it makes me wonder if it was a) a test of sorts to see how Ellis would react to the effects of her own power and b) given that she very much did not want to have them at all after the incident, tried to give her a more positive outlook which leads me to c) the question of: are the witches changing their mind when it comes to Ellis? Because encouraging her in that way seems rather weird if they want to get rid of her. But it's also possible that there is a catch in Ellis using her powers a lot, so maybe encouraging her is more of an effort to make that happen as soon as possible. Hmmm.

The whole scene was Camera Guy was overall - depressing. Like, I'm seriously starting to feel bad for that guy, especially after Nadie laid down her perspective of being 'free' and that it essentially meant 'being alone' down. Because first and foremost, Camera Guy seem to want company. Very specific company, mind you, and everything around getting said company is also pretty yikes, but the craving/intense desire to not be alone anymore? To have someone with you, looking out for you, talking to you? That is very much relatable. And well, with how Glasses Guy has apparently infiltrated that guy's whole body and mind, it's no wonder that he's losing it. Especially given how Glasses Guy has been acting and talking so far.

The scene I was worried about the most, the one in which Nadie hugs Ellis closely from behind in the rain, was honestly the bestest most wholesome scene in the whole episode and it has made me so so so so happy! <3 Because Nadie wants Ellis to stay with her, to stay her partner, to continue traveling with her and aaah I'm having so many emotions about it! (I did sob a little bit into my emotional support orca.)

Unfortunately we ended the episode with glasses guy and a slightly upsetting preview so let me end it with this meme I specifically made to be used in situations like this:

Bo Sinclair was no easy lover (Nott hat you had a say in the matter).

He was stubborn, bossy, manipulative, and just plain rude.

He loved to yell, he loved the fights, he loved the rough sex.

This wasn't to say he was a terrible partner (terrible person maybe but--); there was zero doubt in your mind he loved you in fact.

Along with those things, he loved the bit of the outside world you brought with you, he loved your smile, your laugh, the way you shake when you're laughing and how it's so similar to when you're scared or sad. He loved how attentive you were and how you were cute but assertive. If the author wrote the list out, we'd be here all day.

Anyways, the point is, that's exactly why he'd do this.

Once a month, maybe when the moons full, maybe when it's blue, he took you to Baton Rogue. It was only three hours from Ambrose and it was a major city, which meant eventful bars and night clubs. On the flip side, 3 hours wasn't an easy trip.

So it was always a treat when you get back outside. It's like pressing unpause on a game you're playing. He likes seeing you interact with people and it keeps him updates enough to keep his whole operation going. Mostly a win-win.

He also got to see a sweeter side to you. At the moment, he was standing at the bar, watching you mouth the words to the song on the radio, drunk out of your gourd. You took your position as mayor of Ambrose quite seriously. Morbidly, you tried to make the city even more realistic after it was agreed upon you'd stay there. And sure enough, the city gained a new life when you took control of design.

But this meant papers and logic and numbers. He hated that stuff. He was never good with it unless it was mileage and other things you ask him for help with. So when he saw you like this, completely letting go of the safety bar and dancing in your heels, sweat glistening, limbs flailing-- he'd be lying if he said he didn't see the appeal he saw all those months ago.

He took another sip of his scotch and he watched you under violet lights. He smirked when you made eye contact and waved a bit flirtatiously. The urge to have his way was slowly creeping back in. His need for control. He didn't have a name for it but it was that same damn demon that created Ambrose in the first place. Couldn't have been him. He had to have been possessed. But just like a parasite is fed by it's host, he's obligated to feed his own demon.

He approached you, grabbing you by the waist, just now noticing the other man grabbing you by your shoulder.

He assumed it was a mistake, because otherwise he would've beheaded him then and there.

"heh," he looked down at the other guy. "I think you've got the wrong person, son." He had that empty smile on his lips. Purely polite, it never reached his eyes. His eyes open to look at the man who just tried to steal his partner.

"actually, we were just going back to my place." The man was average looking. Bo, god he was, scoffed internally. He tried to reach again when Bo shoved him a bit. He bumped into a bigger guy, who assumed it was on purpose and promptly punched him. You gasped a bit, clinging to Bo as the collidance cause somewhat of a chain reaction.

You both took it as a sign that neither of your spirits were welcome to that particular night club for the rest of the evening. Both of you snuck out as the building erupted in violence. Beautiful, silly, drunken violence.

"Why the fuck did you do that????" You slurred, pouting.

"I ain't like the way he was lookin' at ya." He ran his fingers through your hair. You gave in a little, uncrossing your arms as you both traversed down the dirt road.

"He wasn't bothering me! Plus, I'm going home with you after tonight~" you grinned at him.

He briefly caressed your chin before pulling over. He leaned over, devouring you, letting his demon lose as he devoured flesh and bone.

Bo was not an easy lover. But that's how you loved him.
